I have it for two weeks now and so far very pleased from its performance. I noticed one thing about how it works. When you first put it on your ears, turn the noise cancellation on, the ambient noise reduces to around 25%. Once you start listening to something (e.g. music, movie, ..), the ambient noise completely disappears. So my conclusion is, it isn't useful to wear just for sake of blocking noise and have some nice sleep as it wouldn't work as you expect.

Pricey but they are the standard for a reason. They are not compact and as easily stowed as some, they are light and very comfortable.

These noise canceling headphones are amazing! I tried every brand available in stores. The Bose noise cancelling feature is far superior to others. I wear these to bed every night. They're super comfortable, and block out all noise. Most nights, I don't even play music or white tracks. I wear the headphones with the noise cancelling switch on, with no cord. They block out my spouse's snoring, and allowed me to sleep right through my neighbor's car alarm that was screeching for about 20 minutes. Best purchase of the year!

These are the best noise-cancelling headphones that I've ever used. They're comfortable for long flights, and really seem to reduce fatigue when I'm on the airplane. I also enjoy the inline remote. This model seems more durable to me than the QC15 or QC3s. I held off on buying those models because they seemed a bit flimsy. Knocking off one star for music quality. Maybe it's not possible to have great sound and great noise-cancelling, I certainly haven't found any others that do it better. These stay in their case for me when I'm on the ground, because I can get a $100 set of phones that sound better. Most of my flights I spend listening to podcasts or Audiobooks so it's not really a big issue.

Don't get me wrong these headphones have great sound and noise cancelling but I have had these headphones for less than 3 months and guess what the left headphone decided it doesn't want to play sound anymore. So now comes the joy of trying to get them replaced, yay.

Just wow. I spent some time researching acoustic noise cancelling headphones, and the Bose are the only ones that come on top. They are great and really remove all the background noise. Sometimes, you can even hear conversations better because there is no more noise. You have to understand how the work to really appreciate them. And more importantly, know that they will remove only the CONSTANT noise, NOT loud noises or voices. It all depends on the frequency and loudness if you want to keep it simple.

Was highly skeptical of a $300 pair of headphones, but wanted to try the sound suppression to make my office (cubicle city) tolerable after the recent moves. At first I didn't notice any difference between the two modes. Checked the battery and found I'd installed upside down! After that-sweet silence. Listen to music and when the racket gears up in the cubes around me, a simple flip of the switch gives me great silence. Several in the office who have the QuietComfort 15, have stopped by to give these a try. They are all impressed that the active supression does such a good job in an office environment.

I was not a believer, and now I am. It's amazing when I take them off and hear the rush of air-conditioning noise at work. Worth the money, though I know I had to talk myself into spending that much.

Great noise cancellation - it's almost eerie. Also the inline mic and iPhone controls are super handy for phone and Skype calls. And the compact design when folded is great for fitting into a bag.
The sound quality is okay, but not the best I've ever heard. Also, they do cause me some physical fatigue after several hours where I just have to take them off and rest.
Overall I would recommend them if you're looking for superior noise cancellation - this feature can't be beat by anyone else. If you're an audiophile or expect to wear them for 8 hours straight, you might want to consider something else.

Was driven to buying these after having to endure a 24 hour flight during which a baby cried non stop the whole flight. Nightmare. The headphones are brilliant, stylish, comfortable and they work very well. Can thoroughly recommend.

I love these!!! They are used at work for communication with clients as well as drowning out noise. The get used ten to twelve hours a day and are perfectly. For what I got they were actually a bargain.

I was recommend these headphones instead of beats and I must say I don't know anything about quality headphones but compare to the cheap 15-30 dollars headphones its waaay better. This is my first noise canceling headphones and I love them. They do cancel noise also i'm hearing beats or notes that i never heard or never take notice of. I wish that the device provid a extented volume if the device is not loud enouh for you. For 300 its high but its my gift to myself so it well worth it.

This is my first QuietComfort headphones. The noise cancellation feature works like magic. No hissing noise or any other issues. The sound quality of these headphones are good, but I have had headphones with better sound quality than this. But the awesome noise cancellation feature makes it worth it to buy! I wore these headphones throughout on a 16 hours flight. It felt very comfortable. Its definitely worth the high cost of these headphones.

Compared to Bose's earlier versions, sound deadening is truly amazing. Good news is they are amazingly light; guarded news, too soon to tell how such construction will hold up. But after nine airplanes in 18 days, so far so good.

Incredibly comfortable (even for long periods of time). The batteries last a long time and the noise canceling is fantastic! I suffer from a hearing condition (misophonia) and these helped tremendously.

Got them for our son in med school. He's in the middle of 6 weeks of intensive study, prepping for his first boards, but he also has a very active 6-year-old, so he really needs the quiet. He has declared these headphones to be amazingly effective and very comfortable. Couldn't be happier!

these things gave me a headache and made my ears ring after prolonged use. just putting them in and turning the power on didn't feel right. I took them back to best buy and will keep looking.

You really got to get used to using them, specially in crowded places since there's a slight electronic adjustment to the noise cancelling mechanism but, once you, you are in for one he'll of a ride.
On the cons, the battery drains really fast, so I would strongly recommend rechargeable batteries

We love these headphones! We've only home tested these so far but they are offer an extremely comfortable fit and the sound is Bose-Amazing. We love that they can be used as regular earphones even if the batteries die (unlike older models). Can't wait to take them on our trip.

GREAT investment. Watching a movie or listening to music on my new Bose is incredible. I am amazed at how well the noise cancelling works. I took them on a my last flight and from now on I will never leave home with out them. Worth every penny!

Very satisfied with the noise reduction capabilities and the workmanship of the headphones. However, the sound quality is not as good as expected. I hate to admit it, but Beats blow these away for listening to music. If your primary use is going to be for noise reduction, I would recommend...but if you are an audiophile and looking for a better music experience I think Beats does a better job.

I use these al the time. They do a great job of sound suppresion and with music playing I am not disturbed at all. I really like the sound as well. You can crank these if you want and the sound does not distort. Only complaint is it goes through the regular triple A batteries. I would use recharables or get lithium batteries if you want more than 1 days worth out of the battery.

The noise canceling works great on planes. Whether the sound quality is worth the money vs equivalent priced ordinary style headphones in home use situations I don't know. But for the regular plane traveler these are definitely worth the money.

I upgraded from an Audio-Technica ANTH-ANC7B headphone set. The Audio-Technica set makes a terrible noise when the battery runs too low for the noise cancelling circuitry to operate, the Bose headphones simply lose noise cancelling. These Bose headphones sound amazing, better than the Audio-Technica. These headphones are far more comfortable than the Audio-Technica. To my surprise, the Bose headphones also work really well as a hands-free headset for talking on the phone. The (very high) price is definitely worth it.

I gave this item a 4/5 stars. I love everything about it, except the bass. The bass could use a bit more of a kick, there's bass, but not much of it at all. I love how light it is, only weighs 6.8 oz. For how light the QC25, it's actually quite robust, strong built! I love the sleek design & the comfort is amazing, sometimes I forget i'm still using headphones. The Noise cancellation is top of the line great! It feels pressurized when you turn the set on and you can't hear a thing. The music and sound quality is crystal clear. Great buy I love this headphones!

It is fair to say that I am a bit of a novice when reviewing headphones. Quite frankly, I have gotten accustomed over the years to using iPod earbuds or grabbing my kid's Beats by Dre. However, after putting on the Bose Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones, I am hooked. Whether you listen to music, audiobooks, or watch shows with the headphones on; you cannot go wrong with these headphones. They are comfortable, light, and feature an exceptional noise canceling ability. I have not gotten into the fancy features of the headphones yet. I know there are other features, and I may or may not every take advantage of those. Right now, I am greatly enjoying the fantastic quality of these headphones. I rate them a strong 5 stars! Enjoy!

I previously owned the Bose QuietComfort 15, which I loved, but these are so much better! The noise canceling quality is very superior, it's more comfortable around the ears and the case is smaller. Also, the fact that it still plays music without batteries is a big improvement.

Absolutely amazing product. As a student, these are essential for getting (and staying) in the zone when studying. You never realize how many small, almost imperceptible sounds are constantly distracting us. Throw these bad boys on and enter your own little world. Trust me when I say that they make a BIG difference in staying focused. Everyone who's seen me with them wants to try them on and they're all impressed by the top notch noise canceling effect. Bose should pay me because I'm pretty sure a couple of my friends have already decided to buy these after trying mine on.

Bought these as a Christmas present for my wife who travels a lot for business. She absolutely loves them but has nothing else to compare them too. I contemplated going with the Beats by Dre equivalent since they also had great reviews in Consumer Reports, but figured that my wife doesn't want to walk around the airport looking like she's in Jr high.

The left speaker can barely be heard after less than a month and I baby these things!!! I use them to study at home and in the library that is it. Pathetic quality and I would not buy them if I were you. Think about. You will say to yourself well thats just one instance. Well thats a $300 chance.
