This headphone is awesome!! I have ATH50 and quality of the sound is slightly better than QC25. HOWEVER, when I turn on the noisce cancellation, it makes the QC25 way better than ATH50. I really love the noisce cancellation feature. Nice headphone, but it's little bit expensive.

Excellent noise cancelling headphones that do a cracking job at music and phone calls.
They're light and come in a really nice case with space for a spare AAA battery, which is required to power the noise cancelling feature.
I've got them in black and my bought these in white for my girlfriend. She loves them, and uses them all the time.

I wish there were a zero star option. The third time I used this product the connecting wire failed. They worked beautifully the first two times I used them. If you want to pay $150 per use it's a great guy. Otherwise move on. Life is too short to hassle with telephone customer service and returns. Very sad to see the deterioration of the Bose brand.

Can't even begin to describe how much better the noise cancelling is compared to other headphones. Add to that superior comfort even on long flights and these are hands down the best out there. A must have for every frequent traveller.

WOW..... why did i wait this long to buy this. I bought 2, one for me n one for the wifey. These are the best noise cancelation headfone i have ever own (compared with parrot zik 2 and sony mdr1r). The battery last a long time...... 6 seasons of netflix stuff and still on the original battery

I read tons of reviews before shelling out the money for these most-recommended noise canceling headphones, and they are worth every penny. I bought them before a trip, and learned that (with the battery in and the noise canceling feature on) they not only canceled ambient airplane noise, but also the sound of snoring in the same room. Click off.... loud snoring. Click on ... almost silent. They fit over, not on the ear.... if you don't sleep on your back, it might be hard to sleep with them on, because they are bulky. Also, the nice case they provide is bigger than it needs to be, and I used the small drawstring bag that came with my old ones that broke (different brand). I bought them for noise canceling, not music, so I can't comment on the sound quality, but the noise canceling is excellent.

The sound is incredible on these! I switched from regular in-ear apple bud earphones and my music sounds completely different now; the songs come to life when you are using them. I took them on an airplane and you can't hear any of the background noise - it makes it feel like you are not really on an airplane, so it's great for people with flight anxiety. There is also a really loud person that sits near me at work and these help drown them out. Since I don't have to turn the music up as loud, they are probably helping to protect my hearing.
I tried out a few different kinds of noise cancelling headphones at a store before I settled on these - the sound on the Beats and Sony versions are also very good but I found this one to be the most light/comfortable. Since I knew I'd be wearing them for long periods of time, I bought the Bose ones.
The only 2 annoying things about these are:
1. How quickly the battery drains but I'm sure most headphones with noise cancelling capability have a similar issue
2. The inline remote doesn't work when you're connected to the computer - only when you are using it on your phone (I have only used them with an iPhone, I am not sure about Android phones).

I'm no expert on sound quality and truthfully don't even care about that part much. I use these for transcribing meetings into minutes so as long as there's no loud static or clicking I wouldn't know. But as to comfort, I tried several pairs before breaking down and spending the money on these. I used to end up with serious headaches every time I sat down to work. These are nice, completely comfortable, and allow me to concentrate on the meetings instead of whatever chaos is going on around me. No headaches.

Love the color scheme. Great noise reduction and sound. You can wear these things for long periods of time and forget they are on your ears. I just hope that one ear doesn't fade like my previous pair of QC15s.

Was a splurge but SO worth it. Besides excellent stereo sound, the noise canceling feature has been a lifesaver! Recovering from severe concussion-loud noises awful for me-had major construction in next door apt.-these saved me from having to move out/go elsewhere! Love them!

I recently used these headphones of a round trip flight from San Francisco to Beijing (11 hours each way). The headphones are very comfortable for long term wear and reduced almost all of the surrounding aircraft noise, making the trip much less stressful. The equalization feature really improves music. My one concern is the flimsy looking joints mentioned by other reviewers and the concern that they will not take rough handling. Ove5rall though, I am very happy with the headphones and am very glad I purchased them.

Worked great for the first few months and even got a lot of compliments. I only used them to study and when I am traveling (I usually travel a lot since I am an out-of-state student and family demands to see me on the holidays). When I used them on May, one earphone stopped working completely for no reason. I am very sad since I wasted my "Good luck in college" money on this.

These are wonderful for quiet. I have new noisy neighbors who play loud music until all hours. With the Bose QC25s on, I don't hear a thing.
To the people who have said they don't work for this, be sure the battery is installed in the correct orientation, has a charge, the battery compartment is closed, and the tiny power switch is in the On position. If the switch isn't On, they do nothing.
At first the headband felt uncomfortable, but i got used to it in an hour or two.

Everyone surrounding me recommended this product proudly and strongly. I heeded and within one week the left side of the headphone stopped working. I contacted the services center in Seoul, Korea, where I was traveling. They told me that they couldn't even accept to fix the problem, unless I provide evidence that I legally imported this machine to Korea. Or they demanded evidence of paying tariffs to the Korean government. I hate BOSE headphones and I would NEVER recommend this pieces of junk to anyone.

I never thought I would ever support a paid of headphones that cost so much, always assuming that the noise cancelling ability was a bit of a gimmick. I have been well and truly proved wrong. These headphones come in a neat and smart hard protective case which isn't too heavy and accommodates a spare battery and a plug transformer so you can use it on those long flights without difficulty.
Looks - I think less cumbersome than a lot of the noise cancelling phones out there and I've already had 3 people stop me in the street to ask whether these are the new QC25s.
Comfort - overall pretty comfortable but I did find the top feels a bit heavy on my head after a couple of hours usage
Remote control and wire - worked well but agree feel that the wire could have been a little sturdier but time will tell whether it lasts.
Sound quality - can't fault it, never heard my music sound so good on headphones aside from through my bose speakers!
Sound leakage - limited when listening to some music at the higher ranges. But much less intrusive than normal headphones
Noise cancellation - just wow very impressive, never knew what a difference it would make and definitely worth breeding the battery in although I wish it was rechargeable itself as only 36 hours usage and I did drain mine by forgetting to turn it off. Better than previous models for this - as confirmed by envious friend who had an older pair and compared them.
Overall really fab. You won't be disappointed! I'm very impressed.

I use these for video editing and they are wonderful. Also helps to reduce environmental noise when focusing on work. The only time I've ever had a problem was that the noise cancelling part 'overloaded' during a plane's takeoff (I was sitting on the wing by the engine) and you could hear some static sounds. Those noises went away as soon as the plane was in the air.

I bought these headphones since i travel so much for work. When I first put them on, i thought they might be defective because I could still hear people around me talking. But then I took them on the plane and realized that they cut out the engine noise almost completely but not all noise entirely. They make listening to music and watching movies on the plane so much easier. The over-the-ear design is very comfortable and i can wear them for the entire flight without any discomfort. When i see everybody else in business/first class wearing bose headphones, I know i made the right choice.

Love these headphones, they allow my husband and I to both work in the same office and be productive even when the other is on a call. He and I have to actually reach out and touch each other to get the other's attention. We have different tastes in music while working and these keep me sane. And when I'm not using them, one of my teens always "borrows them" and that is a high compliment as they have their own over ear head phones and can distinguish the difference in quality.

I use these headphones a lot when I'm traveling and they are great for my conference calls for work. I really like the case to keep these headphones safe too.They also are really good at cutting out mom in the background yelling at me for not doing the dishes.

- THE MICROPHONE SUCKS and I get complaints all the time. It really annoys me, because everyone else on the call is using their laptop or apple headphones and I have my $300 bose headphones and people tell me they're too quiet and they can't hear me ALL THE TIME. If you think you're going to be taking calls on it often and are looking to use the microphone a lot, then I would reconsider

The reviews were 100% accurate - these are amazing: I've used them on two 12-hr flights this month (when I took them off, the sound of the plane's hum was almost deafening!) I even used them mowing the yard yesterday, listening to music - fantastic! Worth every penny.

As I had assumed, these headphones are amazing. I know that reviews are subjective, but I would find it hard to believe that anyone wouldn't like these. I used them for a 12 hour international flight and I am not sure how I would have done it without them. They are lightweight with incredible sound and even better noise canceling. I know the price is high, but save your money and get these, you wont regret it.

I've always found headphones uncomfortable--don't like anything pressing on my ears. These are SO comfy, fitting gently AROUND the ear. In all honesty, my hearing is not so great that I can tell digital from vinyl and I'm not interested in booming beat. Mostly interested in sound cancellation, voice reproduction, and non-head-banging music. These fill the bill nicely and are a great improvement, at least in terms of comfort, over my 10-year-old original Bose noise cancelling headphones. In most circumstances, the comfort and noise cancellation are worth the extra bulk to pack these.

the noise canceling feature helped me through a very loud time at my apartment, when they were re doing units around me and that meant constant loud banging noises from all sides! It also blocks out the dishwasher and the AC noises, which is great for when I study. I plan on using them on the plane as well, hoping they'll work just as well.
I generally don't use them to listen to music, but I have and the sound is very good. I am not a high tech person, but this product does exactly what i needed it to do, which is cancel out unwanted noises.

These are the best headphones ever. You can't be wrong with these active noise cancelling headphones.
They do reduce the background noise a lot, sound wonderful, are very comfortable and light but strong at the same time.

Everything but the super cheap, almost broken on first use battery insert. Super cheap button interface on chord. People don't hear me very well talking on the phone. Other than that noise Cancelling is awesome and sound is very clear. Design and comfort is great. Little bit of a let down for price and assumed quality.

I dont have the knowledge of their technical merit in headphone and speaker lingo...but I can tell you this...I have now been 'blown away' to the far reaches of the Universe. They can take you to another dimension (with good music that is). May I suggest 'Crosby Stills Nash' debut album of 1969, photograph of the threesome sitting outside on a couch, for starters. Thank you BOSE!

Fantastic stuff, was forced down this road because of the office idiot that can be heard over all other headphones. These make my days enjoyable once again. Thank You Bose.
UPDATE: Day number 32. Went on the fritz, Left side started to play funny games, as in All I&O^(*^%%&**'ed up type of noises, no noise canceling. Had to go back to Bose for a replacement. If the next one does the same thing. Then I WILL want my money back and head for a different brand. Will continue to update.

Amazing headphones. I work in a co-working space which is a very open workspace. The noise of neighbors making hour-long phone calls has been driving me nuts. I always thought noise-cancelling headphones wouldn't really work for speech. I was wrong. These headphones have totally eliminated my problem. I can still hear somebody next to me talk but it sounds like (s)he is far away and this makes it much much less disturbing when playing music. It becomes background noise as opposed to in-your-face noise. Compared with my regular SteelSeries Siberia V2 headphones, this is much better (though the SteelSeries are more comfortable when it is not so hot). I can wear the Bose the whole day if I adjust the headband regularly.
Very pleased with this purchase. Worth the price for me.

I purchased these after coming to like the previous model, the 15's, and thinking that the extra perks with the upgrade would be nice. However, I found that this model fit very tightly on my head, to the point where they gave me a headache. Also, the top of the headband was changed to a felt-type fabric, instead of the soft leather on the 15's. Overall, this model was uncomfortable and less quality as the 15's. I did not observe for sound quality as I could not keep them on my head long.

Light weight, comfortable, quality product. I'm a medical student, so I need to be able to study in peace. These headphones give me that peace despite screaming children outside my window and my roaring furnace fan. Downside: friends can easily sneak up on me when I'm using this product.

Just the right size for me! The design is sleek so it does not give me the 'nerd' vibes. The sound is more balanced than the QC15 version, but I noticed a huge difference in the bass which can be heard more than the QC15. It really lives up to the name 'noise-cancelling' headphones! I would totally recommend buying these!

If you travel on planes often this is a must have item. Battery life is great (I used mine for 15 hours straight on a flight to Beijing without having to change the battery).

Excellent noise reduction; they are a bit oversized compared to my old pair (different brand), and the case is so large as to be borderline inconvenient for travel. However, this is my 3rd pair of noise cancelling headphones, and my first Bose pair, and the noise reduction aspect is by far the best.
