Brilliant on a plane even if you are not listening to music. Return trip to the states on one battery (about 14 hours). Worth the money.

First, I must say that I am a freak of nature in that I am not a big Bose fan or Apple for that matter. Having said that, I was looking for a set of noise canceling over ear headphones. I did much investigating in this area. What I found was NC from many brands was so so and not very reliable as many reviews said the NC stopped working in as little as a day and up to a year. The reviews of Bose QC products never indicated these type problems. I also quickly became aware that Bose dominates NC technology arenas not only in consumer products but industrial and military applications as well. Again, I never thought I would ever be buying a Bose product. Bose and Apple are full of proprietary issues from cables to you name it. So i bit the bullet and bought these QC25. I have not the slightest regret. They are magnificent. I can now sit at my computer on my loft and not be inundated with sound from my wife watching TV with 5.1 just below me. I swear she has hearing deficiencies. Not only does the NC do a stellar job, I am at this moment listening to the new Pink Floyd album on Spotify and it sounds great! Even when I am just perusing the internet with no audio source and just NC they attenuate the sound from downstairs so much that what ever she is watching is a mere whisper compared to sans QC25. I cannot say that I am a complete Bose convert but I damn sure am a QC believer! God bless all of the Bose and Apple fanatics. May they live long and prosper. We must all follow our own hearts. I heart my QC25. Yeah buddy!!!!

the headphones are faulty so PLS DO NOT BUY THEM!!!! they at such a discounted price, there is constant humming noise in the right headphone, there is no guarantee, nor invoice included in the package. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING !!!!!

Very disappointed, after 9 months the fabric has split, rendering them useless, I have had to replace them. Not what you would expect for that sort of money. Been told I cannot return them

Noise cancelling is great but the sound quality is mediocre when compared to audiophile quality phones like the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x which I also own. The Audio Technica's are half the price of the Bose. I use the Bose in noisy environments like mowing the lawn with my iPod Nano but for the best sound these don't cut it. They have muddy Bass and the sound is a bit nasally which indicates a very uneven frequency response. I'm a musician and a former audiophile so my standards might be higher than most. If it wasn't for the great noise cancelling I would give them 2 stars. The battery life is a bit short and they won't work with the noise cancelling turned off. I also feel they are cheaply built for $300 headphones but they do come with a nice case.

This is the first Bose product I have ever bought. It's insane how much better music sounds through these vs a pair of cheap headphones. The Noise cancelling will come in handy on flights or at work too.

These headphones are absolutely great. Let me preface this by saying that I am not an "audiophile" or whatever these crazy headphone people call themselves. I'm a simple college student that bought these headphones to study with and also to listen to my collection of music. I made a tough decision (for me) against the Beats Executive headphones in favor of these. I had used the QuietComfort 15s before and loved them, but compared to the Beats Executive, they felt cheap. The Executives are no longer sold by Beats, but at one time they were the top of the line product for Beats, with noise canceling and stitched leather and metal finishing. They were on Amazon for $200. I decided on these because of their sound quality. I tested these vs. the Beats Studio in multiple stores. The Beats Studio are currently the only Beats model with noise cancellation. The Beats had a noticeable hiss when on and could be heard even with music on. The QuietComfort 25s are even better at noise cancellation than the 15s. In the end I decided on these headphones and I am really happy that I did. The physical quality of the headphones can definitely be beat by other headphones, even cheaper ones. That being said, the noise canceling feature can't be beat and the sound quality is superb for all my music that I listen to--everything from classical to rap.

Best noise canceling headphones. I passed on the previous version to my best bud and got this for the new design and very much improved audio quality and enhanced noise cancellation. Bose>Beats Quality>Quantity of ads beats has. NFL also uses Bose for communication because of their superior audio. These pair of headphones are what you need to silence everything around you and listen to every note and lyric of your song with no interruptions at all. Not once have I been dissapointed with Bose or have had to return an item. Thanks for reading!

As always, Bose does not disappoint. These headphones are GREAT at noise reduction. For someone who travels all the time, for work, these headphones are great to drown out crying children. :)

this product broke within a few weeks of purchase. amazon replaced it within about 10 hours which was fantastic. unfortunately they broke again 6 months later. the left earpiece stopped working. so to sum up, they are great while working but don't expect them to last.

This is the ultimate Bose experience, but also the most restricted. You won't get Bluetooth and you'll always have to use a plug in cord, but the sound quality is undeniably good. The sound is heavenly. The danger of cord attachment is that sometimes the connection is loose and may play in one ear piece. This is a great headset at a good price.

Bit disappointed tbh. Love my Bose Bluetooth speaker but a bit underwhelmed by these headphones - perhaps I had unreasonable expectations.

Underwhelmed. Sounded better in the store than at home. Don't know why; maybe I have a tin ear. But it just did so I returned them. No problem. I luv Amazon.

Spoken voice sound constantly cuts in and out, as if it's noise-canceling its own sounds. This doesn't happen with music. When powered off, spoken sound is barely audible. I have to assume that I got a defective version, but for this price, there is no excuse for slipshod construction.

They stopped working. As soon as you turn the switch to green there is a huge clicking sound that just continues.

I purchased this item about 6 months ago. I really liked the product and felt that it did everything that I wanted it to. Great sound blocking. However, now, just 6 months after its purchase it has stopped working. No reason. I spent almost $300 on these.

You can't go wrong with Bose. We are not audiophiles (is that the word?), but we travel a lot and prefer to travel with our own noise-cancelling headphones. These are the only brand we buy, and these new ones did not disappoint. We also love the sleeker style, smaller 'on' light and all-black case.

Bought 2 of these at the prompting of my husband for our 10 hour plane trip to Greece just this last month. They worked great...very comfortable to wear the entire time since they go around your ears instead of into your ears. Cancelled out the surrounding noise beautifully and when plugged in to watch movies, great sound. They are worth the price.

I had compared it with the Samsung (wireless) but decided to go with this based on the many reviews.
I sometimes work is a very noisy environment, so I wanted noise cancellation. After careful research I finally bought this. It works great for just noise cancellation and for music. I would rate it 4.5, not 5, because of 2 reasons.
a) Batterly life - I actually got maybe 6.5 days (x 8 hrs) use out of 1 AAA battery.
b) Ear sizing. It's still not large enough to cover my ears (and I am average) so after 8 hrs of wearing it, my ears are somewhat sore.
Both of these are common problems with other headphones as well, one reason I bought these are because it's bigger than say the phillips headphones I had earlier. I have seen bigger earphones at work. The cable is too long and not coiled, so I tuck them into a shirt or jacket pocket.
In a noisy environment, you can still receive and hear phone calls clearly, but the noise will make it difficult for the other person to hear you when you use the microphone, so really you have to leave that room to talk clearly

use it when you fly a plane ,or you ride a lawmower....will prevent deafness 30 yrs later....EXCELLENT, cuts down road and TIRE NOISE ,while driving and still you can hear police /fire trucks etc....Great help if you have TINNITUS OR HYPERACUSIA....

After 2 months of normal use the right side driver failed. So lame... I travel 90 days out of the year to china, so I totally depend on these for the 13 hour flight. I don't have time to send them in so i took them apart to see if it was a poor connection, but it turned out that the driver itself had failed, the coil was no longer correctly lined up with the magnet for some reason, not sure why. I always kept them in the case. To be honest I noticed a huge quality difference in these when i opened them up. They made everything soon cheap. The noise canceling worked very well but the sound quality sucked, especially when you had the noise canceling turned off. I will never buy a bose product again. Its just a name, hopefully people catch on to the sub par quality they are pumping out. I wish more companies were like apple and took pride in quality products.

This headphone is awesome!! I have ATH50 and quality of the sound is slightly better than QC25. HOWEVER, when I turn on the noisce cancellation, it makes the QC25 way better than ATH50. I really love the noisce cancellation feature. Nice headphone, but it's little bit expensive.

Just simple the Best of the Best in headset. Works super with Mac Pro, but also with my work PC including the MIC sounds and works fine.
