I have used Bose gear for years. The sound on these bad boys is excellent, but the quality is ridiculously poor. In under 2 months one of the ear pads fell off, revelling how it was glued on with little care. Then a week later the jack snapped in half when unplugging. I expected better, but now I know. Bose states they have a one year warranty, which came with the headphones, but they will not exchange them since Amazon isnt a licensed dealer, and their 30 day return has already passed. Bose should change their name to Boo.

The Bose 715053-0010 Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones were packed well and arrived in excellent condition.
noise canceling ability: I'd wanted these QuietComfort Headphones for their noise canceling ability. I've tried them on the subway in NYC and they work better than the Beats Pro noise canceling earphones that I've been using. I can still hear other people but they're considerably muffled and the screech of the subway almost completely disappears.
quality: The Quiet Comfort 25 feel well made, sturdy without being heavy. They feel luxurious and discrete - not at all flashy.
I haven't test the battery life of these headphones so I can't speak to that yet. I do love the new Bose Quiet Comfort 25 Headphones.
Update: I've used the headphones on a four and a half hour train ride and loved that they blocked the constant noise from the train as well as muffled the sound of the people near me while keeping me engrossed in my audiobook.

The quality is excellent.
This is the first set of noise cancelling headphones I have bought and I am very impressed. All the way from the packaging right down to the quality of the product, the experience has been great.
Some of the reviews on here said your audio collection becomes new again after purchasing these. Those comments are right. You start to hear things in music you didn't know were there before. These headphones are great.
The only negative comment is that it doesn't completely filter out "the world" when used without audio, but it reduces the noise by at least 90%. Good enough to allow you to relax in the noisiest of environments.

I work as a "surgeon" and I must say, these headphones are incredible! I don't even bother with anesthesia anymore! It's not necessary with these, cause I can't hear a thing! The patients keep emphatically mouthing things at me, which I assume are things like "those headphones look beautiful" and "where can I get a pair" but I am too busy listening to the amazing sound quality these headphones provide! Just make sure you bring an extra battery! Nothing is worse than your music being interrupted by the angry screams of a man in a back alley with his chest cavity open while you search for another battery among his possessions.

I love listening to music & had read several reviews about these headphones. What a great investment. They sound great & are comfortable to wear. I would have liked it better if the headphones had a rechargeable battery & not a AAA battery.

Nothing like them. They make air travel pleasant. I become relaxed when I have them on.
The audio quality, to me, is the best I have ever heard. Even if they aren't perfectly flat, which they aren't, they produce such a low noise floor that all music has a huge dynamic range to enjoy that listening is very pleasing. Also, with the low noise floor, I can listen to music very, very quietly, which is wonderful.

It would be a good choice if you like light music and just wanted the noise-canceling. However as a headphone it is just a mediocre one, or even below average for the price.

In less than six months, with only moderate use, the flimsy connection to the headphone jack broke, causing the stereo effect to go on and off. This poor quality is unacceptable in a $300 headphone.

Let me start off by saying I never would have thought I'd spend this much for headphones but with multiple European and Asian flights coming up this year for me I decided to bite the bullet and get a decent set.
Wow! I am glad I did. I kept these bad boys on for a couple of 10 hour flights, no discomfort and the noise cancellation was awesome.

A very impressive set of headphones, but for the price you would expect them to be. The good things are that the noise cancelling really does have a massive effect on extraneous noise, tested by blowing up an air bed with an electric pump, noise reduced considerably and music could be heard at a reasonably low volume with no problems.
An interesting test is to turn on the noise cancelling with them not plugged in, you truly realise how noisy the world is.
They also fold away nicely and fit into a nice carry case, very easily, and this take up a surprisingly small space.
Comfort is good as well with cups fitting well around my Big head and not squeezing me uncomfortably.
So the down side the price is really all I can give, this is a Bose product which does a great job but at a price.

The last time I was so impressed by a piece of technology was when I first used an iPhone. These headphones are witchcraft... some alien invention...
The passive noise cancelling capabilities are the headphone are impressive, but then I pressed the little power button on the side and for the first time in years I realised what true silence means. There is so much background noise in the world our brain works hard to ignore. It was amazing to let the headphones do work.
There is still some noise coming through but It's different. In a way the headphone deletes background irrelevant noise, but you can still the more relevant noises. Hard to explain really, you have to try it yourself.
Go ahead and buy it. Seriously, buy it now.

Take yourself into your own zone and block out all others (almost) without an annoying flashing blue Bluetooth light!
I've had to tie a knot in the cable as it is so long but the fit is nice and they are very light. Bluetooth upgrade for the 35s? Then I will give these to the kids.

Bought them last week from another retailer when I was in Germany. Fantastic pair of headphones, being a bit of an audiophile, I wasn't sure about the sound quality due to the NC but was pleasantly surprised when I received them, I still knew they'd be good but after even only a few hours burn in, the sound quality improves even more. The base gets stronger while not becoming overpowering and the treble becomes less harsh than when you first get them whereas the mids are pretty much perfect from the get go. Well worth the price if you're after class leading noise cancellation and brilliant audio quality.

What a surprise Bose makes the best noise cancelling headphones for a ton of money. I sit in an open work environment and the guy next to me evidently swallowed a bullhorn at a young age, seriously he is the loudest human on the planet. So, I upgraded from Dre Beats and wow, what a difference in noise canceling and sound quality. Worth it? That depends do you travel a lot, they are great on airplanes OR do you sit next to a human bull horn? Then get them before you jump out the window.

These have been put into good use in the last week.
I moved house last week and unpacking boxes, but not wanting to upset new neighbours I have used these a fair bit.
These are most definitely noise cancelling, I couldn't hear a thing outside of them apart from the music I was listening to, they fit really well, didn't feel too bulky etc.
Honestly I have no idea about other headphones with similar features if they are any good or not.
I admit they were excellent but honestly I would never pay the money wanted for these so this is unfortunately is why i marked it down a star. I don't normally mark items down on price but I felt I needed to in this case because with insurance/guarantee these would set you back over £300 and this is rather costly in my opinion.

Bought these for my husband as his bose broke. He doesn't like the wireless ones as they frown upon them when traveling on flights as he does travel a lot for work. He prefers the quality of wired vs wireless also. Knocked off 2 stars as they are only 7 months old and right ear doesn't work.

I haven't used Bose head phones so far.I have used senheiser , creative blast, beats.
Compare with all of em,my frist impression with bose is bad.I felt to return it.I thought of giving it a try before returning it.For my work I need to do lot of flying.I used this bose headset in-flight,remarkably it is too quite and vocals and music is crystal clear and it gives adaptive sound with flight noise.Amazing.
Gave 4 star because,I felt extraordinary only when it is exposed to noise.

The Bose 25 are not noise cancelling in the way that the 15's were. When I put the 15's on, all noise in the room vanished. Not so with the 25's. They just muffle the sound in the room/airplane. I feel taken by Bose. I'm looking at other brands to find a pair of headphones which will perform as the QuietComfort 15's did.

Lighter weight and not as tight against your head as the Klipsch M40, although they are more expensive. The Klipsch head band broke after 18 months.

Bought these from Amazon Spain a LOT cheaper. Great sound quality and superb noise cancelling. I wore these all day yesterday whilst using an industrial shredder. Couldn't hear the shredder at all and believe me, its noisy. Also I can wear them all day whereas my old Sennheiser HD205 give me headache after an hour because of the squeeze from the headband. I've given four stars only because the build quality/plastics used are perhaps not as good as you might expect for these premium headphones and may prove to lack longevity but time will tell. I would recommend them though.

These are great. I work from home in NYC where there's a lot of street noise and general hubbub during the day. These are great at blocking out white noise that I find distracting. They are comfortable enough to wear for most of the day and they do wonders for my concentration. Great job Bose!

i have the Bose sound system ,the sound bar and laptop speaker i wanted headphones so went for Bose again, a bitter disappointment turn it up and it cant handle the base all you can hear is distortion and it sounds like the speaker is going to burst
turn it down and its okay but i like my music loud and and with base.(Loversrock,Reggae, RNB, Hiphop) so I have sent it back and bought a pair of Beyerdynamic T51I slightly cheaper but oh what a difference

Wow -- I can block out (almost) everything! I have been looking for headphones that will fit my smaller head and these are perfect. They do adjust to make them bigger if you need more room. They are comfortable to wear and the sound is AMAZING! I am not really an audiophile but I let my son try them and he said they are better than the Beats he has. Since the speakers on my laptop died, I have been using a cheap set that came with my Roku - yeah, anything in a pinch, but these even work with the Roku 3 and make everything sound wonderful. The noise cancelling even allows me to block out my husband and he can obviously see that I am listening to something unlike the in-ear headphones. I have now taken them on several trips and again they block out most airplane noise except screaming babies. Once some one developes head phones that can cancel that noise out, they will make a fortune!

I am an audiophile and enjoy listening to music on the bus, car, train, plane and noisy places. My first priority is noise cancellation and second priority is sound quality. I own the following noise cancellation headphones; Bose 15, Polk U6000 and Audio Tech.7b. The Bose 25 wins for comfort, sound, noise cancellation, and compact case. The sound on the Bose 25 is a notch up from the Bose 15. The Bose 25 will operate without the the noise cancellation turn-on; Big Plus. The Bose 25 and 15 is the gold standard for noise cancellation. There is articulation in the mid range and bass with the Bose 25 vs 15. The upgrade from Bose 15 to 25 worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

I bought the Beats Studios because I fell in love with the all black matte finish. I get home and open them and they were horrible. The sound cancellation was a complete joke with the hissing and the earmuffs leaked way too much sound, making them not good for me to use while studying at the library. I took them back and exchanged them for the Bose QC25 in the white. They may not look as nice as the Beats but that's the only part in which the Beats are superior. The sound quality on the Bose is amazing. The noise cancellation does wonders! There isn't any sound leakage unless it's on full blast. I'm definitely sold on Bose from here on out!

These are by far the best headphones i have ever heard. The noise canceling is amazing. It totally cuts out the sound of my ancient wall heater and in looking irises to using these on an airplane this Friday. The sound quality is great. Bose invests 1 billion dollars per year into research and development and these headphones are the result. The way you can hear intricacies of the artists voice in so much detail is amazing, it's literally like hearing the song for the first time. It's so different. If you're thinking about buying these, look no further, $300 is nothing, these could go for $1000

Mostly happy with these. The sound is excellent, fit is great, and the noise canceling is extremely good. However, in terms of audio quality, the Audio Technica ANC-7Bs did just as well on audio and noise canceling capabilities but cost half the price. The caveat there is if you have a large head, the Audio Technicas will not fit right. But if that isn't an issue for you, I would seek those out first before considering these. Also, my coworker has the QC-15s and to me those feels a little more solid build-quality wise than these. But overall, I'm pretty happy with these headphones.

I received these as a gift. I work in an office and all of the typing was driving me crazy. I guess I was a little vocal complaining about the typing and got these for Christmas. I don't have to turn my music up super loud anymore. Work perfectly...and my ears are grateful. Will use in travel as well since they come with a really handy carrying case.

Had this shipped overnight so I could have it for a business trip since my old Bose headphones broke. It said it would be there Monday for sure and it did not arrive before I left. Other than that, the headphones themselves are great but I'm a bit disappointed they're not blue tooth.

I was in the market for active noise canceling, around the ear headphones. I was cheap and didn't want to spend the money so I bought some Sony's: they would never charge(they were wireless) cost me $125. So I took them back and got some Beats(wired with active noise canceling)$200 on sale, regularly $300. I bought them based on hype and ratings. In a nutshell: very uncomfortable, active noise canceling was horrible, sound was, at best, good. I decided to pay full price and buy Bose quitecomfort. In a nutshell: freakishly awesome!! Sound, Noise Canceling, and comfort is all an A+++. Wow.

The QC25 is my first noise canceling headphone. I been using this for a week now and I must say I am very much impressed by the sound reproduction and mainly the noise cancellation feature. The battery has not needed any replacement till now, I use it for 2-3 hours each day.
The bass is enough by my standards but others might find it to be less for this price.
Downside is the headphones sound pretty cheap without the active noise cancellation switched on and the length of the cable could have been a bit longer.
But otherwise a fabulous product ! Must have for audiophiles

Anything I have from the Bose brand is sensational and these headphones certainly are sensational.
I use them all the time now. Even in the house when I just sit down to read I put these on and play any music I like.

I Love these headphones. I frequently fly and take the train for daily commuting and cannot stand the background noise and babbling of people around me. I finally bought these and the quality of noise-canceling is top notch! There's a small switch on the side that allows you to enable/ disable the noise canceling and the difference is night and day.
I highly recommend these headphones for any audiophile, frequent traveler, or for anyone who just likes peace and quite when out in the real world.

I listen to borderline metal and rocks, so I guess relaxing isnt really fit, but who cares, it isolates sounds awesomely

Great noise canceling headphones!
These work great at the gym, but BEWARE if you are doing some cardio on the treadmill and have a loud chatterbox next to you, you will slightly hear them sadly.
I have also used them just to cancel out other noise while doing business work and works great.

My first set of any sort of noise-cancelling headphones, so I have nothing to compare. Although I was impressed, my expectations were slightly higher than what the product delivered. I'm not sure what inside my head made me actually think I wouldn't hear any of the sounds around me! Of course you still can I discovered, but the noise is still significantly reduced.

Best noise canceling headphones I've owned. Sound quality is amazing. I look forward to wearing them every time.
