I like the headphones, a lot. Noise canceling is solid, though not as perfect as I was imaging. Using the noise canceling feature without music, you can hear a faint hiss which is hardly noticeable unless you are already in a quite environment. Sound quality is great and adequate for my needs. These are the first over the war headphones I've owned -- the comfort is excellent. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I have had various versions of the QuietComfort headphones over the past several years and this is by far the best one yet. The noise cancelling is the best yet and the design of the headset and case is logical and useful. Definitely worth the price.

Great for noise cancelling, but they made me nauseous, I believe from the pressure of the earphones around my ear/jaw area. They also were a bit too big even at the smallest adjustment so they hung even lower. I returned and got the quietcomfort earbuds instead and they are great.

Bought these as an upgrade from 10 year old Phillips Headphones. I have heard nothing but good things about Bose products, and this is no exception. The sound quality is stellar. The bass frequencies power through you without diminishing the quality of the higher frequencies, and with these on, it feels like I'm at the movies; at my favorite concert. And as for the noise canceling, I compared them to my aviation headsets. Long and short, these were actually as good, if not better than my top-quality aviation headsets! I am thoroughly impressed with these headphones. $300? Absolutely worth the price. These are the epitome of quality and simplicity. I would reccomend these to anyone looking for all-round, top-notch quality.

I use these on the plane and they are amazing.
The sound quality is great for all types of music. The noise-cancelling feature really does the job on the airplane, but you can somewhat hear a buzzing from the loud engines. Other than that someone could be talking very loudly right next to you, and you would just see their mouth moving. Even when the noise-cancelling feature isn't turned on, the headphones sound great and still provide some noise-cancelling on their own.
The case is very functional, and the headphones fold into the case a lot easier than the last model. There is also a slot for an extra AAA battery so you can always have a reserve if your battery runs out mid trip.
The only small downside is that the headphones are a bit pricey, but I really do believe that they are worth the amount.

I've had these headphones since March of 2015 and all of the sudden the left speaker stopped working! I noticed that when I was reading the reviews that other people have mentioned this but I chose to ignore it. Do not buy!

Purchased these headphones from Amazon in April, and two months later they stopped working. In particular, the right earphone stopped working entirely. Now I have to figure out how to exchange these, whether through Amazon (don't believe a possibility) or through Bose directly. For the cost and now hassle, I'm incredibly disappointed. I have had good experiences with Bose, but having these headphones not work in such a short period of time is ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend these, or I would recommend purchasing from Bose direct.

I am a graduate student so I use these to study quite often... too often... anyways back to the review. I have been using them for several months now and had used the older model as well. I was hesitant to buy these are they are most expensive head phones I have every bought by far. The battery use is pretty good, like I said I use these about 8hr a day 6 days a week and the batteries last quite a while. The sound cancelation is great for ambient noise like an AC unit or buzzing noises but only ok at blocking out noises like people talking. I would recommend theses even at 300$ and can't imagine studying without them but they have a little further to go in blocking out talking to truly be 5 starts.

Get a bunch of spare AA batteries, and you're in business; a single one will last a week. Or get a pair of rechargeable ones.

I have only been able to think of one word that describes the noise cancellation - deafening. I use these for work and I work in a shared office space. With these on I cannot hear anything going on around me, I can stay super focused. I love the hard case that comes with them and I love that they're super lightweight and simple. Only downside is that they're wired, not wireless - but I got over this pretty quickly, the cable that comes with them is extra long so it works great.

I can't say enough about these headphones. I was reluctant to buy them due to the $299 price, but boy I'm glad I did. At first I put them on and I was instantly impressed, but then I turned the noise cancelling button on and the change was unbelievable. These are very quiet and comfortable. The quality of the sound is outstanding. The Bose name means quality and these headphones don't disappoint. If you are on the fence about purchasing them, go ahead and make the investment, you won't be disappointed.

Very comfortable. Bought this to replace QuietComfort 15 which finally died on us. Sound is as good and may be better. We don't use all the bells and whistles that some versions come with. We just wanted quality headphones for regular music listening.

Got these as a Christmas gift. I loved them the three times I used them then in the middle of our trip they just cut out on the left side. I'm now stuck in Los Angeles with no headphones and the best bose can do is email me a shipping label I have to pay for... Very disappointed in this product

I owned a Bose AE2 which broke last month. Wanted a good upgrade and also wanted a noise cancelling headphone. Read some reviews online and went and tried them out at a local store and boy! these headphones are amazing. Very comfortable and the quality is just amazing. I love my music more now. Amazing buy.

for years i put off buying this headset because they are expensive. i bought a Bose headset when i was flying airplanes, and it is well known in general aviation that Bose set the standard for "noise canceling" headsets. (they are also the most expensive, probably by a factor of 2). Like the aviation headsets, this item is effective shutting out the airplane engine noise as well as passenger noise. i experimented wearing ear plugs vs. wearing these, and these are better, of course. nothing shuts out all the noise. I wish something did. i actually use ear plugs AND these and i like that the most.

Great comfort and quieter than the QC15. Airplane noise disappears with a flip of the switch. Sometimes I forget I'm on a plane they're so quiet.
I had the misfortune of buying the QC15 late last year, using them on two trips from Denver to Manila and forgetting them on the return flight in LA. :(
I bought the QC25's early this year to replace them. While the QC15's are comfortable and very quiet I think the QC25's are more comfortable and quieter. You also have the benefit of playing music if the battery dies. The case is smaller than the QC15's and leaves more room in my laptop bag. In addition to plane use (these are great for movie watching or music listening on long flights) I routinely use them at work to drown out a LOUD co-worker in cube land. Lastly, I have had no issue with the sturdiness of this product nor have I had an issue with the cord coming unplugged.

Very comfortable, and for listening they have been great -- I've fallen asleep with them on in bed and on planes, and they are very durable. The sound is notably better than any of my other headphones as well.
However, they have been terrible for making phone calls. People cannot hear me well - the microphones used in speaker phone built into the iPhone has much higher quality, and I end up not being able to use the Bose for call.

Really really good noise cancelling but not great for listening to detail. Not very loud either.
Use this to mainly listen podcasts on my daily commute (on the bus) and really notice the difference between noise cancelling on/off. Battery life is actually not that great although I use rechargeable batteries which helps.

Sorry I made a mistake earlier by saying the headphones aren't working. It turned out to be a connection issue. So far I'm happy with this product. The noise-canceling function worked very well.

Right ear cup failed after 4 months. Bose replaced it under warranty, and the same problem happened in 3 months on the replacement. I only ever kept the headphones in the protective case or on my head. Very disappointed.

I only used this product during my summer vacation a few times for the past few weeks. However, the cable plug is broken even with my extra carefulness. This expensive product has at least this one obvious defect.Very frustrating and certainly not worthy!!

DO NOT BUY -- unless you want a pair of headphones that will work for a certain period of time (varied between a few days and 3 months for me) and then stops functioning on one of the sides. My fourth set of Bose QC25s in 6 months just stopped functioning and I am convinced it is a systemic manufacturing flaw with the product. The customer service is amazing in getting you a replacement, but is it really worth the hassle of trading them in constantly? Great product, but they just do not last, will not be giving a 5th chance.

These headphones are a lifesaver in noisy environments. They are light and comfortable. I use them primarily for studying and air travel. The battery life is excellent. The case offers adequate protection and is fairly compact. There is also a spot for a spare battery in the case, which is a nice feature.

I just bought the competing Harman/Kardon version of these headphone. They'll be here tomorrow. But today, I was shopping at Target and saw the Bose QC25 on demo so I thought I'd give them a try. First, all these noise canceling headphone are hideous. They look like those giant jogging headphones from the 80's. Didn't Anchorman have a pair? Second, the noise canceling REALLY works. The demo pair I tried was by 50 TV's in Target, all blasting tv shows really loud. I thought there was no way the Bose headphones could block all that out. I was wrong!!! The noise canceling is superb.
Frankly, it was kind of peaceful. Like this moment of zen in Target. Just complete absence of noise. I have to admit, I thought noise cancelation might be a gimmick, but it's legit.
I also tested the Beats Executive series with noise cancellation. ALL the reviews you've read stating that the Beats headphones buzz are ALL true. The Beats headphones buzz non-stop, even without any music playing. So Bose is the clear winner here.
If the Harman/Kardon set isn't as good as the Bose, I'll definitely return them and get the Bose, even though I got a Warehouse Deal on the Harman's for $170 ;)

Very impressive - Having previously used QC15s, I did not know quite what to expect as an improvement. These headphones seem lighter and certainly more comfortable. The noise cancelling (the main reason for purchase) is, to my mind, superior to the QC15s. You can hear voice, when local and directed toward you but background noise, clutter, hum and particularly engine noise is virtually eliminated.
With regard to comfort, I recently used the 'phones during a 17 night stay in hospital, rather than for my normal travel use. What a boon! They cut out virtually all background ward noise, were comfortable enough to sleep in and the single battery seemed to last an impressive time when noise cancelling.
Certainly recommended although for Hi-Fi purists they may not be the ideal choice in noise cancelling mode. For my purpose they were ideal and exceeded expectations.

Extremely disappointed with headphones. Bose is a quality company so I'm shocked that the QC 25 jumps in and out of noise cancellation once it is turned on. Once NC is turned on it is good for just couple of mins and then it starts to turn on/off by itself. Finally just took them off. Very irritating! It hurts the ears a lot. There is no point in spending 300 dollars for using it without noise cancelling.

I use these every day on the train and at the office. I have returned 2 pairs in the past 6 months, and the left headphone has just gone out on my 3rd pair. I'm not mistreating them, and am always careful to put them back into the case after use. Luckily, the Bose store is on my way home from work, so it's easy to return the headphones as they become defective.
An average headphone lifespan of 2 months with normal everyday usage is unacceptable. I hope that this time Bose just gives me my money back so that I can buy a pair of Seinheisers.

These are the 2nd pair of Bose noise canceling headphones I've bought, both have had the right side go out. 2nd pair went out in a matter of 3 months! I have to now pay shipping fees to send them back to get a new pair, thankfully this one is under warranty, the first pair is not, collecting dust at home.

I put these on without music and wore them around the house and was shocked how they muted minor noises. It was a very surreal experience I haven't experienced with other headphones.
Next step was music. Great clear sound with plenty of bass.

Having previously had a pair of JVC noise cancelling headphones I was already sold on the value of noise cancelling. The Bose noise cancelling is on another level. I use them everyday. On the train I listen to a guided meditation app (Headspace) and with ambient train noise reduced, the experience is greatly enhanced. On long haul flights I can have the headphones on for hours without discomfort.
Regarding the sound I find the bass and treble well balanced whether listening to hip-hop or classical music. It's great to be able to listen to the headphones without a battery but the sound is infinitely better with. So always carry a spare AAA battery.

This is my first noice-canceling device. I have had very good experience with this headphone at home. Up in the air, while flying, it was also amazing with very good noise canceling performance. However, after the flight, I had a bad headache, I just thought that noise-canceling might not be working good for me. In the next flight, I tried this one more time. Again my ear and brain were uncomfortable with this. I tried a couple of things:
1. turning off the noise-canceling functionality. I still had the problem.
2. turning on the noise-canceling, but gave some air flow between my ear and the headphone cup. comfortable.
I think the problem with this headphone for me is that it creates some kind of isolated spaces inside the headphone cup and the pressure to the ear up in the air is uncomfortable, causing some headache.

I have been using these for about 2 weeks now. I really like them overall. They are extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time - I use them bout 5-6 hours a day in a large open office. The noise-canceling does a great job of blocking out what I don't want - and letting me listen to whatever I'm streaming. I wish the bass was a little more heavy, though. Battery life is excellent - and while it's not important, I love the extra battery storage in the case. The case itself is pretty good, but softer rather then a hard shell case. I'd recommend them if you have some gift cards to use (like I did) and work in a loud office or fly frequently. Oh, and get ready for people to ask you about them...

These are just simply ridiculously overpriced. why anyone buys bose products is beyond me. The sound reproduction is nowhere near worth the price. Save yourself some money and get better headphones (professional studio monitors cost half as much), just because bose is popular and has lots of ads doesn't mean they make a good product, if anything it should tell you the opposite.

For many years I refused to spend $250-300 for noise-cancelling headphones - until I borrowed a pair of Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones for a cross country flight. Upon my return, I immediately ordered the QuietComfort 25 headphones and will never fly without them. The $35 Sennheiser HD220 over-the-ear headphones I use at home offer excellent sound quality in a quiet environment but don't even come close in an airplane (or other noisy environment). The controls built into the cord add much appreciated convenience over the QuietComfort 15. I couldn't be more satisfied with a purchase.
My only complaint is that the Amazon product description did not make it clear that a case came with the headphones. In fact, it appeared as though one had to purchase the case as an accessory. Fortunately I went to an accessory case offering that made it clear that their product was a REPLACEMENT for the Bose supplied case and I saved $30 odd

Like many new owners here, I previously owned the Bose QC15 and just upgraded to this new QC25. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. This is another great quality Bose product. Personally, i find that the sound and overall noise canceling performance is just slightly better than the QC15. The biggest difference for me though was the design. I wasn't a huge fan of the original QC15 design... Looked very plain and the silver resembled too much to their old home theater systems which I find quite outdated now.
The QC25 is a lot more stylish. The blue mesh with the BiG L & R printed on the inside of the ear muffs help you quickly distinguish between the 2 sides of the headphone. Very clever design. With the QC15, I always had to look for the small printed L & R letters before putting them on.

The QC25 is a lot more stylish. The blue mesh with the BiG L & R printed on the inside of the ear muffs help you quickly distinguish between the 2 sides of the headphone. Very clever design. With the QC15, I always had to look for the small printed L & R letters before putting them on.

Плохо
Works well on planes. Not so well in the office. As several reviewers have said, the noise cancelling almost intensifies voices in the office. Closing the office door works better and is not as costly.
