The AUX connection to the headset sucks big time. Whenever I turn or shake my head the cable comes out of socket. Or sometimes when I turn the cable one earpiece stops working. Extremely poor design from a company like Bose.

Великолепно

These saved me on a trip to Colorado, and have done double duty to drown out my bed mate's snoring. I never realized how loud airplanes really are, even when just cruising. I put these on for the entire trip and was shocked when I took them off. I felt bombarded by noise. I wish I could wear these all the time.

I bought a pair of these for my boyfriend for Xmas. He opened them, and the jack that you plug the headphone cable into was loose, so the sound cut in and out. Okay, no problem, kinda sucky because it was a Christmas gift, but I exchanged them. Today I received the new pair of headphones as a replacement, AND THE ENTIRE LEFT SPEAKER DOESN'T WORK. What a hassle. Now I am returning for good.

Even though it doesn't effectively cancels the high-pitched sounds (my next cubicle co-worker likes to whistle and that was the main reason I bought this) it does remarkable job putting you into a blanket of silence. My concentration improved significantly. Very happy.

They were great! Fantastic sounds excellent quality and the noise cancelling was superb "was" because after the first month they weren't functioning correctly they lacked the pressure needed to produce sound in both ears which caused in one of the ear speakers not to function properly. Worst buy ever. And since it was two months after I cannot return or replace them.

Disclaimer: I bought these from target, not amazon. Immediately after opening these, I had no sound coming from the right side. I had to jiggle the cord constantly to get any sound. For $300 I didn't expect to have to return them right away. What a piece of garbage.

Had less than a year and the left side ear goes out. I travel all the time and when I put them on the left year cant hear anything out of it. so when I press on it it'll work sometimes then it just goes dead and I'm left with one good ear and it suck.. Always loved Bose products this is really disappointing. Hope they will repair or replace.

I bought a pair of these on 2015 through Amazon. Even though they worked GREAT during the first weeks.
But suddenly the right phone just stopped working. I take a lot of care with my technology, and this wasn't an exception. So it seems it's a production defect.

I'm now waiting to see how things move forward, as support outside US doesn't seem so agile. Hope customer service helps on this one and I can just use my included warranty to have them fixed or replaced somehow.

This was my second defective purchase of a Bose QC 25. The first purchase had distorted audio and this second purchase had poor cord connectivity such that any minor bump or pull of the cord (even adjusting the volume using the cord buttons) would cause the sound in one and/or both ears to cut out. I really loved my old QC 15s; they lasted for years. But I've had bad luck with the QC 25s.

These are the best noise canceling over ear headphones. We have three in our family and each of us enjoy it, particularly for travel since it completely cancels out the drone from airplanes. It doesn't fully eliminate conversation but blunts it sufficiently so you can't actually make out what people are saying.. The only downsides are their high price, of course, and that they're pretty bulky so you really need a tote rather than a purse to carry these...

Wore these on a 15 hour flight from Newark to Mumbai. Could wear these the entire trip without any discomfort. Noise canceling is very good. I upgraded from a very old sub-100 pair of Sony noise canceling headphones. I know that that is an unfair comparison, but the Bose are a least double the quality and triple the comfort. I listen to music at around 60% volume and movies around 40-50% volume ... there's just very little background noise to compete with.

Sound is good. I mainly watch movies and listen to common music. As has been written many, many times, the headphones won't give you audiophile grade sound (whatever that means). For me, they sound great.

My only beef is with the moronic marketing folks at Bose. They actually trademarked the misspelling of the word "canceling." Bose is an American company. The American spelling is "canceling" not "cancelling." (Just like traveling, unraveling, etc.) Bose, in its infinite wisdom, decided it would be good to trademark the common misspelling of the word. Wow. Just ... wow. So, it's accurate to say that the Bose QC-25 Noise-Cancelling headphone is the best noise-canceling headphone in the market. Ugh.

Bought these from Best Buy, and love them.

I had the Beats Studio Headphones before which had good sound quality, but were not noise cancelling. When I active the noise cancelling on the Bose, I can not hear anything other than what I am listening unless I focus on the sound. Sound is good, not the best when you don't have the noise cancelling activated, amazing sound quality however when you active the noise cancelling

I was expecting good sound and decent noise cancellation from Bose but I am really impressed with the clarity and comfort of these headphones as well. I have even discovered great value in using them without music to filter out the grandkids toys, play voices and other noisy electronics they use when here. Just flip the switch on the headphones and instantly the world is silent. Ahhhh

These work excellent on a plane! It cuts out all of the humming and makes it so much more enjoyable to fly. Even without any inputs, just used to delete the constant drumming on my ears it was awesome. Then, plugging into the onboard movies, I could play it nice and quiet and still hear the movies super clearly. They sound great with music too. I wouldn't suggest using them without the power on.. I mean they work but they sound so much better when the power is on. They are super comfortable too! I have some Beats Mixrs and those have great bass. If I compare my preferences for listening to music with the volume UP, the Mixrs win by a small margin, but if I want to play something quiet and eliminate the background noise and have great comfort... then it's these bad boys.

I ordered these headphones thinking they would be a good quality product with high quality audio and noise cancelling capability. However what I found is that they are poorly made and are priced WAY higher than they should be. Even with the noise cancelling setting on, I can still hear plenty of background noise-this includes noises such as office chatter as well as cars/airplanes/lawnmowers etc. Save your money and buy another kind of noise cancelling headphone such as Symphonized NRG Premium Genuine Wood In-ear Noise-isolating Headphones with Mic.

In addition, the noise cancelling setting went out within three hours of usage. The entire sound will cut in and out and I can no longer use the noise cancelling setting. I do not recommend these headphones.

These were purchased as a gift. My boyfriend loves them however they are really loud to the people sitting near them. When I wear them they are nice and cancel out the surrounding noise. I may need to buy a pair so I can cancel out the noise from his headphones.

Make no mistake, this is an excellent product. My two stars reflects the fact that when the product arrived the package had been previously opened, some of the original packing materials were outside the closed product box but in the outer shipping box. The twisty tie was off the headphone cable and the cable was just shoved in the box in disarray. Bottomline: The product appears to be working fine, however, it was previously opened and poorly repackaged. It was a gift for my wife's birthday and I wished then product had appeared to be in it's original new packaging. No real harm. Just disappointing.

I once tried a friend's older version of these and wasn't impressed. However, I bought these and they are WAY BETTER. I love this for a crowded office. I can keep my music soft (i.e. not damage my hearing) but still stay in the zone without any background noise.

I've known about the Bose Quiet Comfort line of headphones for a while and scoffed at the idea of $300 headphones. I recently took a domestic flight and was sitting behind the wing. The mechanical noise was so loud that I could barely hear my movie on my laptop.

When I returned from my trip, I decided to take a look at these headphones to see what all the fuss was about. I went over to my local best buy and tried them on. At first it felt a bit weird, and I felt a bit disoriented, but then I heard the difference they made. I heard a low rumble of noise in a busy electronics store. It was amazing!

I purchased them for a discount on eBay and I don't regret it! I put them on during my latest flight with nothing connected and I was able to read my book in silence. Great travel headphones even if you only use them a few times a year!

Really like these headphones. Love that they can be noise cancelling without music playing. Only downside is that they do not have bluetooth. If I am paying nearly $300 for a pair of headphones, I would like for them to have bluetooth technology. It is not that expensive to add, not sure why they do not include this option. That lowered them from 5 to 4 stars, but I would still buy them considering a lack of other options.

I bought these for listening to movies, podcasts and music, and of course it does a fine job of all that - it's a Bose product. What I hadn't focused on are two additional features that I LOVE. First, long phone calls on my cell phone are such a pleasure now. No more crooked neck or tired arm - the phone is in my pocket and the microphone on the headset works beautifully. Second, I hadn't realized just how well the noise-canceling feature would work, or how much less stressful airplane flights would be without the engine noise.

I have never been a fan of Bose noise cancelling headphones. No good reason for this, I just thought they were overpriced and overrated (not that I had ever tried any!).

So, there I was in San Francisco airport with a few hours to kill and I walked into a hi-fi store, asked about noise cancelling headphones and was given a pair of NC25's to try.

First I tried them with no music - you don't need to have the lead connected, so can use them just to have peace and quiet. What you don't realise is just how much ambient noise there is in a place like an airport. Turn on the NC and UTTER SILENCE. It was seriously astonishing.

After a quick listen of some Ed Sheeran and I handed over the $320 without fuss.

I then spent the next two hours sitting in either the serene bliss of my private buble of silence, or watching TV shows on my phone. Amazing. Then I got on the flight. They now let you listen to music or watch a handheld device during take off and this was the only time the limits showed. I was in the very rear of a 747 and at take off with the engines at full power there was a slight crackle in the sound - obviously the limit of ambient noise that they can cope with. Other than this, sitting on the plane in flight there was absolutely no background noise, we could have been sat at the gate. You can hear some muffle speaking if people around you are talking but that's it.

I would buy them again. I will buy another pair for my wife when we next fly. I am a convert!

First head set....wanted the best...these fit the bill! They really do block out quite a bit of the ambient sound/noise and the music renditions sound full spectrum. Finally the whole ear covering was very comfortable!
