First I would like to state that one the description does no say noise canceling it says noise reducing, second I would like to say 100% noise canceling headphones do not exist. I use these generally every day, and honestly I would feel 100% noise canceling headphones could be dangerous. I normally use them to walk my dog and I'd say it takes a good 70% of the noise away, I can still hear traffic to make safe crossing. Icarus rides and blame rides are a breeze. And the sound quality is beyond excellent

Can't rave more about these headphones. The sound quality, especially base during movies such as The Hobbit, exceeds my expectations. Great for watching late-night movies without disturbing anyone yet still having a theatre quality experience.
The noise cancellation blocks out the sounds of my home hvac unit so I can watch movies and still keep cool/warm.
NOTE: It does tend to go quickly through the AAA battery that is required for the noise cancelation. Be sure to have a spare battery in the wonderfully durable case that comes with it.

Hands down the best noise-cancelling headphones on the market today. I tried several side by side and these easily beat out Beats and the other top names around. Super comfortable for long flights. Keeps the crying babies or annoying chatterbox fliers blocked out. The sound of these for music or movies is stellar! You will not be disappointed!

If one buys these headphones, do it for noise cancellation. At that task, they do a good job. Otherwise, the headphones are mediocre when it comes to music or video sound tracks. I have pair of $100 Logitech Bluetooth headphones that sound better than these $300 gilded lilies. The Bose 25's don't have much dynamic range, and the highs are just not there. And no, my Logitechs aren't put together as nicely as the Bose are, but I've had them for 3 years, banging around in my laptop case, my desktop, occasional drops to office floor and everywhere else and they still work fine.
Others mileage (and hearing) may vary, but in my opinion, Bose isn't worth the price. Me thinks that lofty price is mostly to pay for marketing and advertising. Fine, but where's the beef?
And we don't even get Bluetooth with the Bose 25's. What is that??? More wiring to screw with.

Wow. I'm sold. For airplane flights, I can't imagine NOT having these. They did give me a headache after 10 hours of straight use, but I don't hold that against them. These headphones are tremendous.

This is a life saver. If you are sensitive to noise like myself, you really should consider getting one. I don't like getting disturbed by noise outside whenever I watch or listen to something through my headphones. Even something like fan or air conditioner noise can disturb me. This really blocks a loud fan and air conditioner noise, and most ambient noise outside my room. As for blocking such noise, it works and feels better than earplugs that are rated with ~30 NRR. Trust me, this will solve many problems associated with noise among college or other roommates. This is one of the best purchases in my life.

Well worth the money. I got these to drown out the constant background noise of cars driving by and random noises within the house. Whether listening to music or just relaxing in peace, these headphones do the job. I also appreciate the relative compact size of these as they are not bulky but fit well around the ears. I could also lie down comfortably with these on. Great product and I recommend it to all who are looking for a noise-cancelling headphone and don't mind spending a little extra on them.

I'm just in love with these headphones. Even without the noise cancellation on (you can still use them without batteries w/o noise cancellation), but with it on--amazing. You can block out the world. It's incredibly relaxing and music sounds amazing. Albums I've heard a million times sound so much more subtle and intricate. And all this audio blis with Yo Gabba Gabba blaring in the same room.
I kinda never wanna take them off.
The microphone's good, too. I don't use them with a phone, but I do use them on ipad and desktop for Rosetta Stone and it's flawless, even with a toddler babbling in the background. Only complaint: I'm not wild about the ugly turquoise cord, though it does coordinate roughly with my hideous turquoise chromebook.
Before trying these, I definitely pooh-poohed expensive headphones for non-professional use. But dang. I stand corrected
They're also luxe and plush and terribly comfortable, and have a sturdy protective case that holds an airplane adaptor and an extra battery.

From the clever and convenient packaging to the true effectiveness at blocking out ambient noise, I am thrilled with this product. Thanks to the other Amazon reviewers, I had a better idea what to expect from my first noise-canceling headphones purchase. For those using this in an office, it's true that you won't tune out voices. But on an airplane, the amount of ambient noise blocked is incredible. Love this product!

These are great headphones, but for the 2nd time in four months I'm returning a pair to Amazon because one of the headphone speakers stopped working. It's very frustrating as I've been using them every day for work and have taken very careful care of them. I also have a pair of Audio Technica headphones, which aren't as good, but they are still working after six years! I am going to try one more time with these and if the next pair give out, that's it for Bose.

Well worth the price. I don't know a lot about technical musical jargon, but these are nice. The noise canceling sounds like noise canceling, I don't use it but my partner does and apparently it's good. It sounds like noise canceling to me. It isn't going to drown out a plane engine no matter how much you want it to do that.

Well all I can say is that I'm massively disappointed with these headphones, having been a BOSE fan for a lot of years I bought these without trying them first, big mistake. Whilst I appreciate everyone has their own taste on sound, but I really cannot understand why these are getting such good reviews? Basically when the noise cancelling is off they sound muddy and quiet even at high volumes, then with the noise cancelling on they become tinny and have absolutely no bass. Yes they are good at cutting outside noise but the sound quality is seriously bad. Also, even at a low volume they can be clearly heard by people sitting nearby. I really wanted to like these, but they are so bad, Im going to have to return them, hopefully I can get a refund. If I'd paid £50.00 for them I might be able to put up with them, but at this price, no way.

Best yet! I have owned all of the various iterations of the Bose (and many other brands) of noise canceling headphones. I fly a lot and music is a passion. These are by far the best that Bose (or any other company) have come up with yet. I have the "on ear" and cup style (over ear) versions as well. I would never buy the on-ear again, regardless of claims that might be made. You just don't get the same sound quality and no even close to the same noise canceling effect. Buy these, you will not be disappointed, save your money on the cheaper ones or on other brands. It's a waste... these are the real deal.

Turned a usually noisy flight to the US into a pleasure. The audio on a plane is actually quite good when the background noise isn't there. Terrific headphones which although expensive I think are worth every penny..

These are the best headphones I have ever had. They are comfortable, light and the swivel feature is great. The noise cancelling is as advertised. The only problem with them is that you have to remember to turn off the headphones to save the battary. I will always settle for quality above fashion . The "in fashion" headphones cannot deliver compared to the Bose QuietComfort 25 Headphones.

These headphones significantly reduce ambient noise, and the sound they produce is great. My only problem with them that I keep forgetting to turn off the noise reduction, so I'm constantly having to replace the battery. That's more a user error than it is a product problem, but it still bugs me that there is no automatic-off capability, especially in a product that costs several hundred dollars.

Excellent Bose quality, sound and it is simply phenomenal how the ambient noise is blocked out. They work so well that even hearing your own voice when speaking is difficult. I've owned five Bose headsets and these are the best by far.

As a Bose QuietComfort 15 User, I was totally unimpressed with the audio quality of this headphone. Although it is technically a successor to QC15 the sound quality is downgraded quite a bit specially on lower frequencies so you don't get the same feeling listening to classical music, or watching action movies. the only improvement over the QC 15 is that it works when battery dies but there is a catch. for some reason when the active noise cancellation gets turned off it also turns off the Surround sound enhancer and audio Equalizer that when there is no power the sound quality gets as bad as a 20 dollor pairs of headphones which makes you believe that the quality was simply a software enhancing audio illusion not the actual speakers inside headphone. (this was tested in a quite room)
Noise cancellation is really good and enhanced compared to QC 15 but the cushion can make you uncomfortable in prolonged use. it has more pressure and material seals your ears.

I have had Bose C 25 Headphones for about 4 months now all of a sudden the the headphones is malfunctioning, I used them in my "Galaxy S5" headset nothing is going right the sound is "good" but the frame is no good I've had to twist the wire several times just to get both side speakers can work, only one side works that's the left side, and the volume and phone button don't work on the wire for 2 my Bose headphones this is a "Galaxy S5" that I have, Bose leave the headphones alone stick with making good sound speakers.

Best headphones I've owned for airline travel. They aren't quite as loud as you'd like them to be, but that probably has something to do with an amount of power going to the noise cancelling.
They are SUPER comfortable on the ear.
They come with a robust case.
They include a AAA battery, and an airline converter to two prong that's becoming unnecessary these days, but still a nice touch.
Quality is high!

The eklectronics work wonderfully - but the actual foam and headphones are too thin (It's a perfect way to cut down ambient noise better - and the foam started to come out in a few days.
Probably just mine, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Great Headphones. 3 years ago we bought one pair with black color. My wife has been using it and It works great!
So when we saw it in white color, we loved it and bought it. Again, it works great!! The new headphones box and the blue color cord are very nice.

These are an excellent set. I have an audio triggered seizure disorder. The sound cancellation kills the white noise and protects me from sounds that create issues for me.
And since the frequency for human speech is not blocked, you get all the benefit of the sound cancellibg and can still interact with other and can hear if someone needs your attention.
Also excellent for relaxation.

Had the QC 15's in the past and these headphones kick it up a notch or two. The sound reproduction is pure Bose and the Noise Cancelling function is unrivalled. I read a review from a guy who said these headphones were terrible and he returned them. I'm guessing he must have put them on his head upside down, backwards and inside out . . . then never turned them on, 'cuz there is no excuse for not absolutely loving these Bose QC 25 Headphones - they set the bar pretty high for others to try and match what Bose has created.

Bought these along with the Beats executive. Noise canceling on Bose was a 10. Beats was a 3. Plus you couldn't listen to the Beats without having battery power. Total sound quality was top notch with Bose but suffered with Beats. Beats had better overall bass sounds, but if you are listening to a wider genre of music, you have to go with these. Your ears will thank you.

These headphones are great. The sound is really good (even without using the noise reduction feature) for all kind of musics.
It's really comfy too. I had Beats headphones (Solo) before and after wearing it a couple hours it hurt me a little bit and I have no problem with this one.
The only thing that would be better is the case. Every time I put the headphones in it I'm scared to break them because of the position we have to put them in it.

I purchased these for long days of studying in the campus library. Between the doors opening and closing non stop and people taking calls in the STUDY ROOM, I couldn't focus. These solved my problem! They give me absolute focus, and I purchased Amazonbasic batteries that work wonderfully. I read a few reviews expressing concern that they don't block out loud noises. I can say that extremely loud noises, (as a toilet-bowl flushing), is not totally drowned out but they decrease the noise to a whisper. They serve the purpose I expected. I have purchased in ear Bose before, and the cable from a pair stopped working, so I will keep an eye out for this. I hope this review has helped. Anyone that needs a peaceful focus in order to get work done, this headphone will work for you.

I got these headphones as a gift for my Dad and I got a chance to try it on myself.
- They are light! (compared it to a Klipsch) but i must admit, the materials used seemed cheap. I'll know for sure depending on wear and tear and how long they last.
- The over ear fit was very comfortable
- The noise cancellation was excellent.
I do think they are a bit expensive but the sound quality if great!

After years of envy of my friends and strangers who had the Bose headphones, I finally ordered my own. Love love love! The fit is great, sound is amazing, and love the fact that they can still be used if the battery dies. Battery is an easy AAA and not some overpriced, hard to find battery. The white is a cool color with blue cord.

I have a small head and these fit perfectly (hurray). Very comfortable. But, for the price Bose should've used memory foam in the head band & ear pieces instead of regular cheap foam. Other than that, I don't consider them cheaply made; they are nice & light weight, which helps with the comfort in wearing for a long time. Works really well for noise cancelling, which is the reason I tried them. I first ordered the Audio Tech ATH-ANC9, but they were too big for my head; too much play @ the top (otherwise I probably would've kept them).
I gave it 4 stars cause they are way over priced; definitely paying for the Bose name.

Just returned from a flights from NY-Orlando and I must say these were worth every penny. They work extremely well filtering pout the loud engine noise. What must me noted is, when you put them on and activate the noise cancelling switch you can still hear, slightly mind you, your friend talking, the baby crying, etc, but when a steady, loud noise is present that is when these headphones truly shine. Slept nearly the entire 3 hour flight with a meditation CD playing. Engine noise gone. Expensive, but an investment you will not be sorry about.

One can still hear people around talking and the surrounding music. It's not very efficient in canceling noise around you. I guess there are few to none competitors to this category. Hope the next edition will make it wireless and a better noise canceling solution.

I use them when napping during the day. Blocks out a lot of the noise, even if the kids are loud. They are also very comfortable, although you can't sleep on your side. I could not live without them.

My girlfriend got these, and at first I was pissed. I'm not a huge audiophile (active musician though), and for the price tag I would have preferred she got some nice open back over ear headphones with an amplifier for the best soundstage/audio quality. That's what I thought until. . .
I put these on. The active noise cancellation is science fiction like in its performance. Dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine, passing cars, all of it muted to a degree that feels impossible. For this feature alone I give it five stars. Everything else is definitely 4 stars or better, but I'm so seriously floored by the noise cancellation that these are getting a five stars. Absolutely magical.

Not worth the money. I coupled these with a free "white noise" app on my iPhone and they worked great. On the other hand, I later tried using the free white noise app with my standard "free with iPhone ear buds" and that worked just as well!! Wish I'd saved myself the money!

These headphones are very comfortable and have amazing noise cancellation. I go on frequent business trips and these are a must have. It blocks out most of the airplane noise and my music sounds amazing. The battery life is long lasting as well. The only slight negative is that the controls are not the easiest to use (there's a lot of clicking of the wire buttons) and the headphones are not wireless. These aren't enough for me to give less than 5 stars though. It's a very worth while product that I'd recommend.

My first impression of these headphones is a good one, they are comfortable to wear even over the arms of my glasses, they seem to noise cancel pretty well and they come in the most organised little carry case i've ever seen. They have the ability to fold almost flat due to an ingenios use of hinges which means they're much less bulky to carry around than other large headphones. The case they come in is really well designed with a little hole to store a spare battery (they can be used as regular headphones without the noise cancelling if you do run out of battery) along with a place to store a connector for using them on an airplane. My only worry with these is that they are expensive but then i don't usually buy this type of thing so i've got nothing to compare it with price-wise.

I just gave this to my husband today as a Christmas present in hopes that I wouldn't be able to hear what he is listening to when he is right next to me...I was wrong!...you can hear it pretty clearly! So my husband is unable to hear me, but I sure heck can hear what he is listening to at 4 in the morning!..I am not happy...With the price I paid for these I would think "noise canceling" would go both ways..At least when he wore the cheap ear buds, he would set the volume on low so I couldn't hear it so early in the morning...but now, with these new Bose, he has the volume as high as he likes....But hey, my husband loves them...

I've had Bose NC headphones for years, and this is their newest replacement model. Appreciate the new carrying case -slightly more compact than previous version. Headphones have been improved all around, and appear less cheap than older ones. Have "L" and "R" imprinted on inside of phones. Switches and plugs redesigned, and seems to be a little more comfortable. I purchased because my older pair needed replacement seals, and were starting to look worn. Don't notice any significant improvement in audio quality. Recommend if you are frequent traveler like I am.
