My young friends needed to connect to a free wifi zone where they live, it's not a very strong signal at their house. I found this Adapter and bought it for them and they are very pleased with this unit. No trouble to set up and they get good reception with it. I needed an option after upgrading my PC to Windows 7 for wifi, as I have no hardwired ethernet connections in my home. I have used TP-Link items in the past and have always had good luck with them. I thought I'd try this one out, as I wanted the ease of use of USB compatible as opposed to opening up my case and installing one on my motherboard.This was super easy to set up - plug it in, and Windows automatically installs the drivers. It recognized my network right away, and I connected and voila - internet connection.The only downside is that it breaks the connection when the computer sleeps, and it takes about a minute to reconnect once the computer wakes up. It's similar to any other wifi enabled device needing time to connect once it wakes up, but this felt just a bit longer than normal. Other than that, super easy to use and fantastic range with a solid connection!

This wireless adapter worked very well. Although it is not plug and play, the disc that came with it installed the drivers fairly quickly. The price is great for the quality. I needed a wireless adapter for my pc because i did not have wireless built in on my new pc and did not feel like getting a card. This gets better signal than the built in wireless on my HP desktop.

I needed something that worked better than the onboard wireless card/antenna on my Dell Inspiron laptop. Many times I couldn't pick up the signal from the router. Since I have been using the TP-Link TL-WN722N I have had no problems. I usually get atleast 4 bars on the signal strength indicator and sometimes even 5 where as before I would only get 2 or 3 at the most. I like the USB cable it comes with so that I can move the device around and get it out of the way. All in all, a good product that works at a good price and easy to install driver.

My requirements aren't demanding, I just needed something to replace the ethernet cable running across my floor.It worked out of the box with Linux, Windows 7 was able to find drivers online, and at a range of 8 feet it doesn't seem to be bottlenecking my 3Mbps DSL.

OK so i was a bit sketchy when i decided to buy a wireless USB network adapter for my PC for under $10. I've seen reviews for these things with people saying they are an arms length from the router and still getting bad reception and im across the house and in the basement, so i wasn't really expecting much. I must say I am quite amazed at the performance of such a budget friendly option, for the past week i've been surfing the internet at speeds seemingly faster than my wired connection in my last home, online videos are streaming seamlessly and my download speeds are great. The software installed really fast but it was too hard to use for my taste, but I found a tab with an option to just run it through Windows' wireless utility so problem solved. I would recommend this product to anybody and everybody who doesnt want to pay a ridiculous amount for a name brand version that is the exact same thing.

This TP-Link TL-WN722N Wireless adapter works great on Ubuntu-10.10 without installing its driver CD.Additional info:-The driver CD comes with it is smaller disk and it will not fit a CD/DVD drive of a laptop, if there is no Tray coming out of the Laptop to place the CD.Some of the latest laptops DVD drives are built within and need to just insert the CD/DVD and drive will automatically pull the CD/DVD inside.To take it out we needed to eject out by using eject keyboard button. (Also, it is possible, one could use another PC to burn this CD to a bigger CD and use it )However, the product works great, I have purchased this for Ubuntu 10.10 (Linux) and which could not able to recognize built in wireless card of my Dell Studio laptop. As soon as I have plugged this to USB port, instantly it picked up lists of available wireless connections. Just select your connection and provide SSID and pass code, thats it.This package is compatible with Windows 7 / Win XP as wellGreat product.

Bought this to replace an internal D-Link 556 wireless adapter which cost 3 times as much. This was a breeze to install, had a significantly faster connection, and was far more reliable. When I first installed the drivers, it instantly found about 10-15 wireless networks around me compared to the 1-2 the D-Link found. Moreover, it has a great connection very far away from the router (and through many walls). It's truly one of the best bangs for my buck I've ever experienced.

This wireless adapter is perfect! It's easy to install - simply insert the small disc into your computer and follow the directions! What's great about this item is that it comes with a 3 foot USB extension cable. It was a nice surprise, because I was actually in the process of searching for one on Amazon.

I have attached this unit to an older desktop computer located one floor vertically and 20 feet horizontally from my wireless router. I am using the computer/ router/ wireless adapter in combination with a VGA to S-video converter to stream internet video on my standard definition TV. I have been using it in this way for about a month and it has worked very well. The quality of the video has been very good; no problem with the range of the wireless adapter. The configuration of the adapter with the USB extension cord makes it convenient/ easy to locate the wireless adapter remotely from the computer. The only hitch is that the adapter weighs so little that any twist in the cord makes it difficult to keep the adapter upright in its remote location. That problem is easily solved with Velcro by itself or in combination with a weight.

Purchased this very inexpensive USB n-adapter for an old computer moved off the wired network. I have a Netgear router with a hidden SSID and this adapter won't pick up the network if it's not broadcast. I have about 6 other devices working flawlessly with the router but when I tried to configure this with the SSID hidden, it just won't pick it up.Included is a mini-CD with the latest driver. The old computer is running XP SP-3 btw. I tried installing this on a newer netbook Win7-starter and another desktop Win-7 Pro with the same problems. With the provided driver, speeds were kind of slow but after I went to the website and downloaded the most recent driver, speeds and reliability went up dramatically.Overall, for the money, great USB adapter. I just wish I could keep my SSID hidden but there doesn't seem any way to do this with this unit.

It ROCKS! Plus, it was plug and play, which I truly appreciate, I literally plugged it in to my pc, put in the disk when prompted, turned on my Verizon 5spot hotspot, and had even faster internet (went from 1-2 bars signal strength to full bar, even 50 feet away). I'm easily impressed I am sure, considering I have had truly miserable dial up since 1996, however, I LOVE this thing.

I had a previous TP-Link TL-WN821N which was a 300Mbps and worked fine however I needed it to be mobile so I upgraded to this which has been fantastic. I moved my router which is in the floor below and I just had to adjust it. Range is great, product is great.

Bought this to solve a problem with an older notebook. My notebook's WIFI wasn't working properly, so instead of paying Staples or Best Buy approx $60-$100 to fix, I purchase this device for $15.00. Works great!!! Good decision. Now I have WIFI again.

I purchased this product, along with another high gain product, just to see which one worked best. The TP-Link product was a great buy, compared to the other product. I did a ton of research before buying the TP-Link, and as it turned out, it was the right choice for me. It loaded easily and quickly with my Windows 7. I also ordered a TP-Link for my dad, but I liked it so much, I kept it for myself. I may order him one for father's day (LOL). I don't usually write reviews, but I like this product so much, I wanted to let others know that my money was well-spent on the TP-Link.

First let me say that the TP Link did perform considerably better than the receiver in my laptop, but when I put it up against the old "g" technology of the "Alfa 1000mW 1W 802.11b/g USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter", that I purchased from Amazon only last May, the Alpha was better in every way.Alfa 1000mW 1W 802.11b/g USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter With Original Alfa Screw-On Swivel 9dBi Rubber AntennaI tested both in multiple locations and the Alpha not only found on average 3 to 5 more Access Points, but the meter in the little utility I used, [WirelessNetView - go to CNET for free download], showed a 10% to 25% stronger signal across the board when using the Alpha. This TP link may be more useful if one already has a "n" router, but for now the Alpha, though a bit more expensive, is superior. If you still have a "g" or earlier router, go with the Alpha. I sent the TP link back with no problems.

This adapter is easy to install and works well. Reception is above average. I have 4 bars and the speed is constantly on 65 mps. It works well with Windows 7 64 bit, but you have to download the driver from its website. The driver from its CD works for XP and Vista well. I recommand this adapter to everyone if they are not too demanding.

Came in the mail quick. It picks up my wifi as well as my neighbors signals nearly 200 feet away. The antenna is detachable so you can use a longer one if you please and it's plug and play compatible.

Purchased this for desktop. Easy to install. Seems to work great. Tried it on laptop to see if it increased reception. Aded 2 bars on neighbors WIFI. It's lightweight. Might need to secure it in place with something.

Replaced my laptop network card with this one and was readily recognized by Fedora 14. Actual speed with encrypted network was about 6MBytes/sec compared with my previous 3MBytes/sec. Had to install its drivers in Windows. Nonetheless, love it!

Update: after about 6 months it started flaking out then it died completely... Now I'm going to the store to buy a more reliable one. :(Old Review: I have a PC in the garage. The signal strength gives my iDevices trouble but I have 4/5 bars wireless going through 3+ walls ~ >50' away.The unit is bigger than a USB memory stick and blocks other tightly packed USB ports. I am using the spare ports on my monitor with no problems!I am surfing the web and streaming video as fast as I would anywhere else in my house!

This thing is incredible. 4 to 5 bars on my wifi signals that were 2 bars before! Highly recommended device. Nothing compares. Do not buy a different wireless router as they are all junk compared to this device. Setup took 5 minutes.

Plugged in to a USB port entered my network password and haven't looked back. Useing it to connect an old dell desktop, running Windows XP, for my 5 year old to learn about computers. It is fast and had no problems. He watches cartoons and plays games on Disney's site.

The device seems to work as advertised. Installing it under XP turned out to be the challenge...Although TL-WN722N installed without problems on W7, using TP-Link's instructions and delivered CD, I was also not able to install it on XP. The TP-LINK Wireless Client Utility (TWCU) attached itself to the XP Netbook's Atheros WNA instead of the TL-WN722N. Deactivating the Atheros WNA and then going through another install did not change the results.My solution was to follow TP-Link's Frequently Ask Question #53* and not use the TWCU at all. I also downloaded and used the most recent driver from the TP-Link website.I hope this helps us XP users.[...]

So much consumer-quality wireless networking equipment is garbage that it is a genuine surprise when something works as well as the packaging would indicate.There's not a lot to say about this adapter: it works brilliantly.5 stars all the way, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a 2.4GHz 802.11n adapter.

Had an old adapter that had its own software which completely screwed up my computer. The TP-link (which I never heard of) uses the windows zero configuration, and connects fine. Not getting all the speed I would like, about 50% of 150Mbps, router is in the living room and the tp-link is in the master bedroom. But, no dropping, XP, and that desktop is just for small projects and music.

Drivers installation on XP was straightforward. Reception is excellent some 30 feet away with a wall in between.A nice to have: I have it connected to a desktop with the USB extension cord. If left on top of the CPU chances are it will go down to the floor behind the computer. On the desk the story is pretty much the same. I ended up putting a paper clip through the device's slot and hanging it from a nail on the wall. A more elegant solution would have been nice.

I also purchased a TP-Link router to hook to my modem, and had some trouble getting them up and running, TP-Link technical support was awesome to deal with and had me up and running in minutes. I have never had a better wireless connection than the one I have now, and I have tried several wireless adapters and routers, including Linksys, D-link and other off brands.All in all great product for the money.

I bought this for my Linux desktop after reading one of the reviews that this is supported under Linux. After a bit of struggle with kernel modules and online forums, I found this is supported by compat-wireless in newer 2.6.3xx kernels. Specifically my kernel is stock 2.6.34-12-desktop from opensuse 11.3.The device worked perfectly once the kernel driver is installed. Signal is very strong from the antenna.
