I went from an internal TP-Link reciever in my desktop that was getting 1 to 2 bars of reception from the router that we have downstairs. I bought this product in hope of improving my connection to the internet because I was tired of getting disconnected from the internect, especially while playing games. Let me tell you how impressed I was with this when I started to use it, now I get 4 to 5 bars of connection and when I play games like bf2 I have no lag at all, this is perfect for gamers. This reciever even picked up signals from my neighbor's that I didn't even were there. It was very easy to use, just plug it in and install the driver. The only thing I was disappointed with was that even though it came with a usb extension cable, it didn't come with a docking station, oh well still a great product.

Великолепно

Long time PCI network adapter user and was skeptical at first about using a USB network adapter but I'm so happy I gave it a shot. This adapter also fixed my problems for streaming 1080p HD video to the PS3 in the living room, no more stutter, only super smooth video playback. This tiny little thing is able to give me max signal as opposed to my 3/5 or 4/5 bars on my old PCI adapter. TP Link is also my go to company now for wireless networking items, cheap and works great!

the product is not what I expected, is compatible only with windows 7 and I have windows ultimate. does not make any change in the speed of my computer when using wifi

This has been one of the few usb adapters that has worked successfully and consistently for me. I'm not terribly impressed with the speed (and the description is a bit over-zealous) but it works quite well for simple web browsing, non-hd videos and lower end multiplayer games. Granted, it is working in a more remote section of the house (compared to the router) so this could be biased. Still I feel this was a good buy for what I needed.

At first, I had trouble with all official TP-Link drivers causing a BSOD a few times per week.After some research, I found a perfectly stable driver from the chipset manufacturer: (win7-9.2.0.19-whql-full.zip)With the new driver it gets a 5 from me.

Worked well when I got it and was able to connect to a variety of routers and setting types including WPA2. Also has great range and works well through walls. My router is located about 12 feet away from the dongle and I always had full connections. However, after 2 months of daily use it suddenly died. It refused to connect to my computer and others I tested it on. I also noticed that I hear a rattling sound in there that could be part of the problem. This is the second one I've owned and the first one that stopped working. I am going to see if I can get it RMA'd and see how well their warranty/service performs.

The signal is much better than my old one but almost always cuts off when I am using Google Docs every couple of mintues. It has also happened while typing a blog post. Other than that I would give it 4 stars. -It just went down while typing this, good timing. The price is great but I will probably spend a little more and have less frustration.

I purchased this item thinking that the longer antenna would give me better reception. Forget about the reception, i couldnt sync it. The thing with this adapter is that it wants to sync with your modem. I have a 2wire simple modem that has no sync functionality so I was fidgeting with settings for a while trying to get it work. IT SHOULDNT HAVE TO BE THAT HARD!!!! Anyways I returned this and bought another adapter that was simple plug and play. I was online within a minute.

We got this for our new HTPC in the den which is not hard wired area. Downloaded the drivers, it started working . We still yet to see the 150 mbps but its working fast enough for what we got.

This was an excellent change-up for me. Was using an old Belkin adapter--after switching to this, download speeds literally TRIPLED. And connections don't drop or crap out nearly as much as before. Easily one of the best adapters I've used, and I've gone through several.

Would have rated 5 stars but for the hassle of installation. The driver comes on a mini cd which my cd drive would not read. You have to download the driver from the manufacturer's website to a flash drive or cd from another computer (the adapter was the reason to put on the computer which did not connect to the internet). First, you must unzip the driver file before downloading to the cd or flash drive. Then, it is fairly straightforward to install. Just insert the adapter and follow the on screen instructions for manual installation. You might have to contact your ISP to get final connectivity. After all that, it works!

My laptop is only used for one thing: entertainment while on my treadmill. I have been putting up with a meager 2 bar of reception for a while, never thinking I could do something about it. One day I just had no signal at all, and this item revived the laptop with 4-5 full bars of reception again. My laptop is so old the cd-drive is not working, the hinges that connects to the screen is broke I have to lean it against the treadmill but its still good for streaming youtube while I jog thanks to this adapter.

A great wireless network adapter with a great range. Never seems to drop a connection and is priced extremely well. Gets a little hot sometimes but not as hot as others I have tried. You are not going to get a product that performs this great for under $80.

Installed perfectly and easily. Bought it because my built in Mini WiFi adapter was giving me 0 to 2 bars with 2 to 7 Mbps depending on what mood it was in. This adapter is giving me 5 solid bars with 13.14 Mbps. This thing works!

Had this product for about a month now. My router is in the basement and this is hooked up to our desktop on the 2nd floor. The signal isn't as strong as I'd hoped for, but it does get 3-4 bars out of 5. The only issue I have is that it loses the signal every once in a while. I thought at first it was the 2 story difference, but I have another laptop running that has never lost the signal. Overall a decent product.

This USB dongle is super fast - I had a bad opinion of USB Adapters as they tend to be slow - the one I had prior to this would have very slow downloads and if I start uploading photos onto Picasa or any other upload, it would just hang.The TP-LINK WN822N adapter is blazing fast. If you are looking for a cost effective USB Adapter that WORKS that too FAST, this is the one! Highly recommend.

Seems to be a good product, but does not advertise you need to have 64 bit program to run, luckly I did, but I purchased 2, the 2nd one I gave to friend who was not running 64 bit, so it was useless!!! Advertise correctly and you may have better sales!!!!!

This adapter is very fast and installation was a breeze! I went from 200kb/sec upload to 1mb/sec upload. I never realized how slow my old adapter was. The USB cable is long so you can set it on a table or higher spot next to you which is nice if you are using a laptop that isn't pointed in the right direction. Very pleased with this adapter overall.

Setup was quick and easy on an older Windows XP PC I had downstairs in our basement. The computer was unable to stay connected to our DSL Wireless Modem using an older Rosewill Wireless G USB card with external antenna.After installing this new one (which took about 6 minutes), we had 3-4 bars and signal strong enough to stream our Netflix with no stutters.The best part about this adapter is the ability to move the antennas above or around the computer for better signal reception. Great price and works well.

It was up and running two minutes after I connected it. The drivers installed immediately and it connected to my network. I'm getting great download speeds.I was initially skeptical as I hadn't bought anything from this company as yet, but this turned out to be a great device.

I'm going to be quick. This works better than my PCI linsys wifi card. It grabs on and pulls a usable signal where the PCI Linksys card would not. It doesn't work better than my Toshiba laptop internal antenna for signals in the immediate area, but if I plug it in, I get about 15 more signals that the laptop didn't pick up, along with the 10 or so signals that it did. So the range is greater, but not necessarily stronger than an OEM wifi adapter.I also purchased the 15 foot USB cable Amazon recommended along with this wifi adapter. It is a piece of junk. Do not buy it. The card doesn't work with it.The cable can be found here: Your Cable Store 15 Foot USB 2.0 Extension CableI recommend purchasing a better quality, shorter USB cable like this one from Amazon basics:AmazonBasics USB 2.0 A-Male to A-Female Extension Cable (9.8 Feet/3.0 Meters)

Five minutes passed from the time I opened the box until I was working on my wireless network. Amazing! This on an old Dell OptiPlex GX270 that had never had the capacity to WiFi. So now it is plugging along at 150 Mbps. That went so well, I'm ordering another for my old Dell Inspiron 9200 laptop.

I am a computer professional and I own two of these units. The setup is very easy and works flawlessly. I was receiving 1 bar of signal, I now get 3 bars on the same network. Excellent product you will be satisfied owning. Using this adapter I get download speeds of 1.5 Mb on an almost useless network before using this adapter.

I have used this on 2 computers. On the first one with a modern motherboard it was plug and go. While on the second older motherboard I had to use the set up CD. Both systems are using windows 7. I have yet to try it with Linux.Pros:Long USB cable so unit can be placed for best signal reception, I am 200 ft from my router.Fair price forCons:not dual bandGreat unit, I like it

Replaced a tiny proprietary Onkyo adapter UWF-1, which proved useless on my Onkyo receiver -- all net stations dropped out every 20 seconds or so. This is less than half the price and works perfectly, with no dropouts. I already had my router information saved on the receiver, and this unit just started working right away!

I was looking for a cheap wireless dongle for my parents and came across this gem. I tested it on Ubuntu 10.10 and Windows XP. On Ubuntu it instantly recognizes the drivers (though I think 9.04 and earlier it doesn't) and loads up fine. Was up in running in less than 30 seconds. XP you need to actually use the included drivers disc.I've had no problems with this thing. It even has a nice extension cable in case your USB ports are spaced too closely together. I would recommend it.

Works worse than the built-in antenna in my laptop. By worse I mean less access points and less signal strength for detected access points. Doesn't worth even a penny. Please avoid this "high hain wireless usb adapter" at all cost. Actually it's better to call it "low gain wireless usb adapter".

This worked fine for about a month, and then I got a week of speeds at under 1 Mbps. After that it just died completely. My phone, tablet, laptop, Xbox 360, and TV all still connect fine to my wireless N, my PS3 connects fine to my wireless G, and my printer connects fine through ethernet. It is definitely this adapter that is broken. The light sometimes comes on and I'll get about one minute of internet but then the light turns off, windows plays it's device disconnected sound, and I have no internet again. I have also tried multiple USB ports.

Don't be fooled by it's size and looks! This little thing will blow you away.I was having major signal issues with my internal wireless card. I did everything you could think of even moved my pc ( and obviously my desk with it!) all over the house but nothing helped. Finally a friend suggested this little monster. I was going to buy a new wireless router to replace my current one as a last resort but those things can be expensive. So I decided to give this modem a try although I was very skeptical.All I can say is wow! I'm getting full bars where I used to only get 2. I have a 12Mbps connection. I used to only get 1-2 Mbps before. Now it's full speed!Get it! I don't thing there is anything better in this price range (or even at a much higher price). You won't regret it.

Received doggle yesterday and within 5 minutes, my refurbished Dell tower (running Windows XP)was connected to my wireless network. I'm not a tech guru so I can't specify bandwidth but Youtube and Netflix are streaming w/o stutter so that works for me.

Router is downstairs and desktop is upstairs. I get my max download speed with this thing.I have it in the back of my computer and do not use the extender.I had tried a netgear one, but that gave me 2mbps dl out of 10. BAD BAD.

Hooked it up but it defaults on WEP, so I had to go into settings to choose TKIP. Then it connected. I would suggest, to avoid confusion in these days of advanced encryption schemes, that they move the encryption type option to the place where you enter your SSID & Password. Still.....Nice little gizmo.

I am a soldier in Afghanistan where I live in a tent. The nearest internet hotspot is about 120 meters away behind a 1 foot thick concrete blast wall. Before I purchased this relatively inexpensive 'high-gain' antenna I had to leave my tent and walk outdoors towards a signal to connect to the internet.Now, not only am I able to connect, but I have twice as many choices of networks to connect to. This little gadget is awesome! The upload and download speeds are good enough for SKYPE. It is one of the best devices I've purchased since I've been here.

My internet is decent (max maybe 1mbps)So therefore I don't see any true benefit to this product until I upgrade to better Internet plan.However, I bought it to get a better signal through a door and several walls.I'd like to think that it connects better, but it's hard to compare the difference. Oh well, it works fine, and that's all I need. For a cheap adapter, that is really something.

Wanted to build a simple wireless home media center and the TP-Link TL-WN722N fit the bill. No problem at all with setup, the device was found as soon as it was plugged in and after some home network info was entered I was online.
