Ужасно

I just got this today. I don't know if mine was defective or something, but either way I do not recommend this to anyone. Yeah it eventually connected to my router after a few attempts, but it had a weaker signal then my laptop's wifi and on top of that no internet access at all. This product is a waste of money.

I used this on a media server that I frequently accessed from my phone and other computers, and it did its job well. However, after having it for less than a year, it stopped working. I've done all sorts of troubleshooting and have tried it on several other computers, but it will no longer connect to any available networks.

when i got this i did a lot of research making sure i was able to use it with my computer, when i got it it worked beautifully...for like a week then i started having all kind of trouble with it, ranging from hardware errors to it just not finding any wireless signals. i checked it on 3 other computers and it did the same thing....can't say im pleased with this product.

Easy to install and good frequency reach. Highly recommended for anybody trying to connect pc without wireless card. I am networking an old pc in a classroom about 100 feet away and it does a very decent job.

I didn't bother writing a review for this product until trying some other USB adapters and realizing how good this one is. I took for granted the fact that this adapter can stream 1080p video and 1080i tv streams wirelessly from a hdhomerun device. This is also the adapter to get if you are running ubuntu as the wireless chipset is one of the ones approved by the open software foundation so there's native driver support out of the box (tested by me in Ubuntu 11.10)

My wireless 802.11n router is at the complete opposite side of the house as my desktop. I bought this when I was building out a new desktop and realized my old PCI wireless 802.11g card had given up the ghost. I can honestly say since installing the drivers I haven't had one single issue. That was over 6 months ago. Very satisfied.

This could not have been easier. Plugged it in, entered WEP key and I was connected. I went to Best Buy to purchase one and the cheapest they had was 39.99 and the sales clerk didn't act like he thought they worked.

I purchased two of these due to their great price and excellent reviews. I set them up on my two desktop machines, both running Windows 7 (x86 and x64 respectively). After installation of the latest driver from the TP-LINK website I had them both up and running and they connected to my network just fine.Using Sysinternals Process Exporer I noticed that I was getting spikes of the "Hardware Interrupts/DPC" process. Further investigation showed this adapter to be the culprit as removing it ceased the interrupt spikes. This problem plagued both machines so it's not just a faulty device. On the more powerful machine this is less of an issue, but on my little Intel Atom machine the spikes can reach 20% of CPU utilization. Other wireless adapters do not do this.I doubt I will return them as they were relatively cheap and hopefully a future device driver update resolves this. Nonetheless, they certainly don't live up to a 5 star average.

This product, inexplicably, doesn't support Macintosh computers.Upon opening it, I called customer service. What a joke. "Yes, it supports Mac!" I was told. Then the CSR (who didn't speak English very well) placed me on hold, and then came back and said, 'No. We don't support Mac. Good bye!"Nice.

First of all customer service is awesome. I e-mailed them a question on OS compatibility and they had a response within 24 hours. Now that's customer service! Anyway, I used this on an old dell inspiron 5100 where I installed Edubuntu 11.04 and it worked like a charm. Easy install and works right away. For those of you on the know, It's a bit of a pain to deal with the wifi drivers on Ubuntu installs so just didn't want to deal with it and this product right here was the perfect solution!

Never worked well. Put it on my wife's computer which was 2 walls away. Was so slow and inconsistent I put her back on the wire. Today, we changed the ISP and the adapter died at the same time. I replaced the TP-Link with my MediaLink and the wireless connection worked as expected. I will return this, hopefully for a refund and order a MediaLink adapter.

I bought this without realizing it was not for macs (I have a PC labtop too but one for Mac is what I needed most). It installed and work wonderfully for my Windows XP labtop in minutes. But when I tried to install it on a newer labtop with Vista I struggled for over 1 hour without getting the device to work. It is a pain. If this worked for my mac I would give it 5 stars without even trying it on the PCs.

installed easily on both windows 7 and xp. it installs only the drivers on windows 7 and uses the native wireless utility. on xp the utility on the included disk plus the needed drivers install.both systems connected right away to available open networkson windows 7 i was also able to connect to my friend's android ap with wpa2-psk without any problem. just entered the password, unlike other adapters i have tried.very sensitive to rainy weather and reception suffers greatly

Excellent product, worked instantly in any system, no driver install at all . In W7 there was already an Internet connection and it went out and found a driver, rebooted and it worked. Much faster speed and better connection with my laptop, which had an internal wireless b/g adapter, now removed. I am very pleased.

I had one computer that needed a wireless-n receiver and this TP-Link had decent reviews with a low price tag, I was sold. I kept my expectations low thinking as long as it connect to a wireless-n network, I won't care. My expectations were easily exceeded. This adapter rivals the Linksys Wireless-N adapter I paid 6x more for at a Best Buy for another computer. I plugged in the adapter, Windows 7 installed drivers and we were online without any hassle.Pros:Windows 7 installed drivers, no need to use the included CDSensitivity and speed rivals a Linksys adapterIncluded a USB extension cable so adapter can sit on top of desktop towerCons:The status indicator light is underneath the plastic of the adapter so it looks really cheap as it blinks (but for how much I paid, it was cheap!)Overall I expected very little and was pleasantly surprised. While I can't attest to its durability or reliability yet, it was such an inexpensive unit I wouldn't mind getting another if it gave out after a year's time. Recommended purchase for anyone needing a wireless adapter.

This is the best thing to buy! If you need a wireless card for your desktop, don't waste the money on the internal thing that will only work in one computer. Upgrade yourself to this!At first I thought I needed the extender cable, but it fit snugly against the back of my desktop without any problems. The software was easy and I had it up and going in under five minutes. Well worth it.

This antenna seems to get a good signal. However, it installs annoying software that pops up on start-up and asks you to select a network anytime you have the antenna unplugged (if you are using a hard-wired connection). There is probably some way to turn this off, but I haven't figured it out yet!

After downloading the software it froze and wouldn't respond. I tried reinstalling and it didn't work. I tried calling the support line but there were no available technicians and they don't even give you the option of waiting on hold for the next available. Frustrating experience for something that should have taken me just a few minutes to install. I have Microsoft Vista.

Installation on Windows Vista Home took just a few minutes, was painless and worked flawlessly from the get-go. The network connection is consistently one or two bars higher than another computer sitting right next to it, with a regular Medialink adapter, and the speed is a definite improvement too. Inclusion of a extender cord so that the (rather wide) dongle didn't obstruct nearby USB ports was a nice touch. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially given the great price.

Ubuntu 11.10 86_64This works great! This is what I did to make it happen.Go to this page: [...]and skip down to install the repository... use synaptic or the console to install install firmware-atheros. Then after installing... disable the deb [...] wheezy main contrib non-free. Keeping it add too much cutting edge software that will break lots of things if not starting with the wheezy system.Anyway.. this thing ROCKS. Never lose connection. Super strong signal. Totally recommended.

Usb Wifi Adapter works perfectly fine. Comes with a usb extender cable. I have used this everyday since Nov. 2011 without any issues or drop in signal or strength. Connects great with my Linksys E2100L and works in all modes b/g/n. Great item to have without having to open up the computer and sticking a wireless pci card.

This ran perfectly for three days and then died. Amazon is refunding my money, but I am now without a wifi adapter.I bought this adapter for my WD TV Live Plus, but unfortunately it does not work there at all.I also needed a new adapter for my wife's desktop in her office so I moved the adapter to a USB port on her monitor. Windows found it, loaded a driver, and seconds later it was connected at 150Mb/s, as advertised.Due to the size and age of my house, a different USB adapter barely kept a connection at all and maxed out at 72Mb/s when it was working. This one keeps a great signal and both internet browsing and RDP into the desktop are fast.Pros:Plug and Play on Windows 7Excellent signal strength in hard to reach areasUSB cable extension is a nice touchExcellent priceCons:Form factor makes it hard to use in tight areas (extension cable solves this)Does NOT work on the WD TV Live Plus150Mb/s rather than 300

I'll admit it: I bought this based on the reviews and the fact that it cost 5 bucks less than its closest competitor. I use it on my HTPC, which is about 12 feet and one wall away from the router. The antenna actually helps performance, which surprised me. It looked like a gimmick.Anyway, it works fine, so add my recommendation to the others.

Just received my adapter. I have a Windows 7 desktop and when I inserted the adapter to the USB port, Windows unsuccessfully attempted to setup the adapter. I was able to setup the adapter using the included utitily disc, which was a breeze to do. After the setup, finding my network was effortless as well as connecting to it. So far, it seems faster that the ethernet connection I had to my router. I definitely recommend this adapter...

So I get a new room and there isn't any holes for internet. It's a hassle to cut holes into walls.I resolved this problem by buying the TP-Link. IT DIDN'T REDUCE MY SPEED AT ALL!!!!! I still get 10 pings and 50 mbs download no difference. Recommended for all old laptop users and computer users.

I don't know much about all this high-gain and wireless signal stuff, but this little device did what I wanted it to do. it got wireless signal for my desktop which was its original purpose, but aside from that I use it on my laptop whenever I go out since it picks up more signals than my built-in wi-fi does on my laptop. On some signals, I got 1 bar with the built-in, and I got 4-5 bars with this TP-Link. Others didn't show up at all on my laptop, but with this I managed to get 2 bars.Overall, it does what I expected it to do, and I will buy this again in the near future.

I bought this High Gain WiFi Adapter to be fixed onto my Media player as a replacement for my nano USB WiFi adapter which is pretty slow over the distance. However, upon trying to fix this TP-Link adapter it was not being detected by my Western Digital LiveHub media player. I tried to contact the TP-Link support and they mentioned that this is NOT A PLUG-N-PLAY device and needs to have driver installed.I have to return the item if the media player company does not provide the driver.

i purchased 2-3 other external antennas for my laptop but none worked as well as this one.. i use my laptop one flight up and two rooms away from my router and never got more than 3 bars on a five bar signal indicator.. after attaching the antenna and installing the software i immediatly began to get a five bar signal.. works better than anything i have tried in tha past and is very inexpensive to boot.. follow the set up instructions carefully.. its not at all difficult and i find that a USB extension cord allows me to put the antenna device on a bedpost or bedside light rather than protruding from the side of my PC.. excellent product..

I was having issues with the Onkyo UWF-1 Wireless LAN Adapter adapter from Onkyo, as the signal strength was only hovering around 40-50% even after firmware updates. After researching the chipset I found this adapter had the same Atheros based chipset as the UWF-1, and purchased this with hopes it would simply be plug and play.The signal strength is now 100% and only costs 1/3 the official adapter cost. I've been using a crappy Trendnet wireless PCI card that capped my download speed at 3.5mbps. This TP-link USB device allowed me to use my internet at its full bandwidth (12mbps). No issues here. The item arrived within 1 day with free delivery from Amazon o_o ..

I grabbed this as a quick fix for my wireless. It was The right price with decent enough reviews so I gave it a shot. It has a "super easy" install for windows 7 computers. I plugged it in and gave the computer a second to recognize it, and it was auto-installed. Happiness. It works great and I've had no issues with it. There is a manual and a driver CD, but I had no need of them ;) On a side note about the antennas: it doesn't seem to matter if they are up or down. I get the same reception either way, which is still awesome. Others might have a different experience though.

I purchased two TP-Link adapters through amazon.com several months ago for our two desktops. One died within a month and the other one died within two months. I would not recommend this brand to anyone!

Pros:-Disk includes easy to find drivers (if you don't want to install the entire utility) At "D:\TL-WN822N\TL-WN822N 2.0\Driver Files\*OS Version*" that you can install via Windows device manager.-Speed seems fast (only supports 2.4GHz N, but 5GHz support is rare)-No reliability issues, always connects quickly and never drops-USB cable allows proper placement of device vs USB stick devicesCons:-Annoying Green light that flashes during activity-No support of 5GHz Wireless N signal, which I would recommend when buying a brand new device
