I bought this cam to replace my original that was not Vista compatible. Although, I am upset with Logitech for not writing new drivers to support their older equipment, I am still completely satisfied with this new Cam. The mount fits my flat panel monitor perfectly (adjustable to fit a wide variety of applications). The mount can also fold flat to sit on a flat surface. The software is very good with the ability to take snapshots without touching the camera. Works well in low light, has nice clear image, and was easy to set up.

I was looking for a webcam to use for chatting with my mother. I wanted an affordable, reasonably priced webcam that does it's purpose...so I bought this one.I had some minor glitches though..my computer hangs and shows black screen after using the webcam with voice while chatting. I have to remove my battery and unplug the power cord of the laptop to restart or reboot. Luckily, I'm a little bit of a techie, so I just did a little research and found a way how to fix the problem. I haven't encountered the same issue since then.

It says right on the F@#!&*% box that it works with Windows 2000. When I tried to install it, It said "please update system to XP" I was so pissed. This is a fraud product.

I paid close to $40.00 for this cam and found the picture video quality to be absolutely lousy. I have another logitech cam 9000 and they don't even compare. Honestly, this particular cam should be removed from Logitech's line. This is the only dissatisfaction I have ever had with Logitech, and I'm sure I'm not going to let one cam ruin my faith in Logitech. But for those looking for a webcam, stay away from this one, it really sucks.I would highly recommend Logitech 9000. I bought this particular cam for my desktop approximately a year ago and use it daily. It has great video, mic is clear on both ends, very easy to install and use. But I wouldn't pay over $80.00 for it. Its small enough too that it can be used easily on notebooks.

I agree with some of the other reviews out there - the sound is a real problem. It took me a while to figure this out, since the USB sound should be better, and so I didn't suspect the camera itself, instead blaming my connection, the cellphone interference etc. Now it makes more sense. I'm going to dump this camera and buy another one. If you're working with a USB headset or separate mic, the picture is reasonable.

Quickcam MessengerI ordered on 2/20/2009. On 5/7/2009 the item has not been received, nor have I been provided with any info to track it. There is no telephone # on their site. I called the 800 number on my credit card statement. Was told the ANTONLINE's # wasn't 800 - it was 877. I called that number and was offer a fee based service to be able to complete the call. If you'd like to deal with someone that doesn't hide from you, avoid ANTONLINE.

This is a good, cheap webcam. I am an IT tech and have the opportunity to use many different webcams. This is my go-to one. It's cheap, easy to install and use, and gives a good picture. It compares favorably to both the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 (at almost $75 more). Great for Skype.

This camera is absolutely outstanding. The resolution is great, it is fast, and associated software and drivers are outstanding by all measures. Despite being cheap, it bears the Logitech quality.Just make sure before buying that it would fit your laptop, since it won't stand freely by itself.

This camera works very well with my Toshiba computer. It gives a clear picture and the sound quality is very good. I would recommend this quickcam on that basis for anyone looking to get a camera of this quality at a truly great price.

It's not terrible, it's not great, it's a cheap little webcam. If you want something powerful, you're going to pay more money. It's that simple. I bought this at walmart and it does what I need. Not recommended for professional quality purposes.

The picture was so unclear that I packaged it right back up after about 10 minutes of use. I'll be returning this tomorrow and probably getting the Microsoft web cam instead. Horribleeee !!

I bought this as a xmas gift only to be extremely dissappointed.First: This camera has a wire mircrophone that you must keep in your ear the entire time so the recipient can hear you (even if you leave the audio unplugged). Very annoying.Second: The picture quality is EXTREMELY grainy!! (Good if you don't want people to see the details of your face!) Even if you have a decent light on in your house, it is still very blurred/grainy and VERY pixalated (and has an orange-like tint) no matter what light is on.I would not waste your $$ on this one. It's a piece of JUNK. Spend a few more bucks on one that is worth it. Believe me, you will be better off.

I would do a video review, except the microphone that comes with the damned thing doesn't work! Compound tht with the fact it has super low resolution and is ghosts horribly and this camera just isn't worth your time. The only thing preventing me from rating this one star is the ridiculously quick and easy installation.

This camera does have a microphone, but requires software different from the other Logitech cameras. I have been unable to get the sound to work on my 3G XP SP3 system despite making sure I have all the sound card updates. It does work on my Vista system, but even then it's not right; the sound and picture are off...my older model 5000 is a much better camera. Don't buy the QuickCam Connect!

When I installed the camera and its software, I had problems with sound and picture on Skype. When I contacted Logitech, they checked the serial number and found that I had been sent a camera and software that was made in 2005. It was completely out of date,and and after 2 hours with Logitech, they were able to install current software that worked. I still have problems with the picture. Don't buy a camera from this seller!

I bought 2 of the Logitech Quickcam Notebook. One for me and one for a friend in Ireland. They were a good value and work for the purpose. We can now share a cup of tea 3000 miles apart.

I am not computer savvy, but this was very easy to install and use. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because the picture can be a little dark, depending on the light in the room (isn't probably that way with all cameras, but this is the only one I've used). Really a great buy for the money.

Great picture BUT that's where it ends. Whenever I shut the cam off it blue screens my laptop, the audio is nonexistent. Tech friend of mine did some checking and found some vista compatibility issues. If it wasn't for that I'd actually still have it hooked up to my laptop.

This camera is a good deal for the price. However, there was substantial lag, even with a well-lit room, until I turned off the "low light boost" option in the settings menu. Once I did this, things sped up significantly and I'm gonna' keep it.

I've never had any issues with a Logitech product, no matter what it was. The Logitech QuickCam is another great product from the trustworthy brand and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I actually bought this for a Christmas gift for my parents so that they could talk with my sister and her family in NY.Installation was very quick and simple and in a matter of minutes, we were up and running. The quality was pretty good-not great, but for the price that I payed, it'll do the trick just fine. The image is not garbled or distorted in any way and the sound quality of the mic is very good too. It sits perfectly on my parent's LCD just fine and is very small and attractive. All in all, another great product from Logitech!

Not that great for Vista 64 Bit. You must upgrade your drivers before you install. Does not play well with MS Messenger. And this camera has limited support from Logitech.It Does work if you are willing to tinker with it for hours.. IE> D/L various drivers.. And can handle it not working i all software products..Save the headache and the time. Recommend getting a newer camera.

I puchased this webcam to replace my 6 year old QuickCam. The motion on this QuickCam is very s l o w ! When you move, there is a lapse in motion which creates a "trail", and the audio is out of synch with the picture. I reinstalled my old QuickCam and did not encounter these problems. It seems that my 6 year old webcam was at that time, not at the lowest end of webcams as this one, and performed betterI like the Logitech products and will exchange this webcam with the next model, Communicate MP, which I would hope operates at a higher FPS which should make it more to my liking

This cam works pretty well. Sometimes the picture quality isn't perfect and there is a delay or freeze, but that could be the instant messengers or internet, too. Happy with my purchase, and very happy with Amazon price.

I bought this webcam to use with Skype and it has worked great so far. I am using it to chat with family out of state. I followed the instructions on the CD and it was very easy to set up. It probably took about 30 minutes to set up the webcam and get registered with Skype. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive camera.

I bought this webcam some time back and have been using this on my laptop and desktop. This does the work perfectly. The images are very clear and crisp and it also has a night vision which helps to make the video visible in low light. The mic in the webcam is excellent. I used it for my laptop and it has worked perfectly. My friend on the other side said that my voice and picture was pretty clear. This webcam works for almost all the messengers that I use : yahoo, skype, gtalk and msn. An excellent equipment for video conferencing and can pick up your voice even at the lowest. I would definitely recommend this webcam to everybody for its low cost and excellent output.

I think this is the perfect webcam for the price. I only use it to communicate w/ my family and friends via Skype and for the price, you can't beat it.I popped the CD in, and within a few minutes out of the box I was using it without a hitch. I would suggest this webcam to anyone; not only the budget conscious but those seeking a higher-end product as well.

Nice little webcam. It does all that it needs to do flawlessly.It has an integrated microphone and an LED indicator showing when your online.The picture quality is good nothing extraordinary and the mic works fine too. It is for normal video chatting. Would definitely recommend it.

Bought this to do some video phone links. Could not get it to work with my Mac. At some point, major manufactures like Logitech need to come to the realization that Mac is a great computer and is gaining ground. They need to provide drivers for Mac. I decided to try it on my PC but the image is so delayed and jumpy, that it is useless. Poor drivers even for the PC. I've given up on it for now. Looking for a better product.

I was able to hook up the Logitech QuickCam in a matter of minutes and it works like a charm. It is perfect for a lot of people and is very easy to use even if you are not computer savvy. It takes minutes to set up and the picture and sound qualities is great. It is easy to use and is a great device.

How did this thing end up with 4 stars? First of all I can never find anything to clip this onto. It does not clip to any part of my standard Dell laptop without putting stress on the pastic and it is not worth breaking my laptop for. Oh and good luck finding something else in your house that fits it perfectly and can stabilize it. Secondly the cord is so short it is not even funny. I suspect it is about about 3 feet tops. So if you want to move it around to get something a little out of range forget about it. Third of all it does not focus well at all especially when the subject is any real distance away. Lastly, the drivers on Vista actually cause the blue screen of death randomly and fairly regularly. Which is of course super fun when you are trying to talk to someone online. At this point the only thing to like is the right light feature which does seem to do an o.k. job of handling low light conditions. However, if it is all blurry, immobile, and crashes your computer, it doesn't really matter does it?

The camera is a good deal! It does its job well and it is not that expensive. If you adjust the light and sharpness, it should work fine! Unless you are looking for an amazingly perfect picture, then the quickcam is good for you! I am satisfied and recommend it.

The title says it all. If you want a cheap camera for video chat, then this is a camera and it's cheap. But the quality is not very good at all. Also does not pick up well at night in a lit room - I often resorted to getting a desk lamp next to me.I got this cam to work on Mac OS X.

I was looking for a very inexpensive webcam with microphone for use with the SKYPE program and this one really fit the bill. It was very easy to set up and actually works better than the webcams some of my contacts use which cost considerably more. I now have three of these units, one for each of my computers and don't hesitate at all to recommend it.

It's a nice little camera, however, my experience so far has been the video when using on Skype is blurry. Anyone I've called on Skype has said we come across kind of fuzzy. haven't tried it for pictures yet.

this web cam is good if you want a nice and easy one. some problems i have with it is it has a really dark picture so use it in a room with lots of light and you will be fine.if you have a short budget i would go for this cam but if u have 20$ more i would go for the more expensive ones. your not really paying for the name with webcams so the more you spend the better quality you will get

The quality of the pix on the computer with this camera is very poor, but I don't lnow if it is the camera, the computer or Skype-or if this is the state of the art of video at this time. It's better than nothing.

Great product. I assumed because it's for a notebook it would clip on my flat screen monitor. The monitor is too thick so I "velcroed" it to the top of the monitor. It works great. Also, because it's designed for a notebook the USB cable wasn't long enough to reach my mini-tower. I bought an extension and it works great. The sound is crystal clear.My daughter has a notebook computer and had no problem with the camera clipping on her monitor nor with the length of the USB cable.The images are a very clear but "hurky-jerky". I think that's from the internet and not the fault of the camera.

This camera works great as-is; however, it's difficult to interface with programs like Gmail, Skype, and AIM. This device is approved for use with Skype, but my output video always had weird yellow streaks and audio ticks. Settings are fixed for these programs and the highest resolution is only available when you want to record a video through the QuickCam softwarette. The QuickCam software caused my RealTek Audio driver to crash and now the audio hardware availability spotty even after System Restore. I do realize this is limited to my system and does not affect my product rating.

I purchased 4 of these Logitech 961400-0403 Quickcams for use with friends over Skype because of the price, performance and features. The resolution is very good for VOIP, and the face-tracking and special-effects features of the associated software work as advertised. I initially purchased a Logitech Orbcam for significantly more but these are so much cheaper with equivalent performance for VoIP that I would choose these any day.Possible improvements:1. Although the form factor is for Laptops, a wider mounting clamp for desktop LCD monitors would improve its usage. I had to fabricate one for my desktop.2. A side-to-side swivel mount would also improve its usage.
