product just came wrapped in plastic bag, with no instructions or driver--had to download the driver from Logitech's site. Also found problems with the mic not being able to pick up voice well.

...the experience I had with it. By no means does it have to do with the product itself.I couldn't make it to a wedding and this was on their registry. So I bought it for the bride and groom. They received the package in a timely manner and graciously sent it back like the great people they are. So on the basis of the timely arrival and no-hassle with getting my money back, I'll give it 5 stars.

I bought this camera to give to my in laws for use with Skype. It works great and it was so easy to install they had no trouble getting it working. Picture quality is good and the audio is acceptable too. It sits on top of a laptop or panel monitor easily. It doesn't clamp on but it sits there with no stability problems. Recommended especially for the price.

I bought two of these cameras, one for my niece and her family and one for me. We got them yesterday, installed and used them. We were THRILLED! The installation was so easy, the audio and video is clear and crisp. When we talk it's real time, not delayed. Very good quality for the price and the best thing is I can see my little great nephew every day now - he's in Florida and I'm in Tennessee! Awesome!

I did not know or expect this webcam to work only with Panasonic TV models when I received it. Since I made this discovery, I tried the webcam with Panasonic's blu-ray player (DMP-BDT110) that features Skype video call through VIERA CAST. I thought it would work well because basically the blu-ray player has same viera cast with Skype. But, I was wrong. It did not work. The viera cast did not recognize this tvcam and that was it.I was disappointed. Had it worked, I would have been able to Skype with my family and friends. On the other hand, I also tried this cam on my computer, and I have to say this is the best webcam ever. I assumed it might not work with the computer, yet it has the best video and audio quality. This tvcam has a nice wide angle lens with clear and sharp image quality. It works really well at night with low light condition. My parents were able to hear the audio well even when i spoke from a distance. Also, this tvcam worked great with Apple's FaceTime application. Although I got this webcam for my TV, it worked beautifully on my Mac. Ensure you have the proper Panasonic TV models if you are interested in using this webcam. If you want to purchase it for your PC only, you might be luck as I was! Based on my observations, the quality of image and sound is quite superior to other webcams; therefore, this might be the perfect camera for you.

I love my new webcam and it arrived only three days after ordering it on Amazon! The HD clarity and the quick install rate this webcam very high for me. Anybody looking for a Windows webcam should definitely try this one out. I love it so much, I'm buying a second one to give to my nephew!

It's not a perfectly clear picture, given the amount of pixels you get, but you get a great picture nonetheless, very clear and sharp, and it picks up lighting wonderfully.

Combine Logitech and Carl Zeiss and you know you'll have a quality product. This large (8 inches wide) webcam sits on top of your flat screen and transmits in wide-screen vision and easily and clearly picks up voices from over ten feet away. The camera comes with an extension cord to make sure you can reach the USB port on your flat screen (total of eleven feet). Just be aware before you think about buying this great webcam, that it only works on seventeen models of Panasonic televisions. Hopefully in the future this might expand. It also only uses SKYPE. The rubber/plastic arm attachment allows the camera to sit on top of any flat screen, but an animal could easily pull it off, as my cat did. There is no solid clip and you don't want this webcam to hit the floor.Installation is almost too easy. Just plug it into your flat screen and log into your SKYPE account on the screen. Granted, the other party will get the best reception and you'll receive the level of webcam quality they transmit with.The HD 720p is absolutely amazingly clear with accurate color as is the sound quality. There is very little (there is some) blurry movement if you move fast enough, but for simply sitting on your sofa and talking to someone on their computer (or their own Logitech webcam). With the widescreen, you can get an entire sofa and its inhabitants in one screen shot. I'd give it five stars, but for now, Logitech only has this great webcam for Panasonic screens.

I have purchased the Logitech TV CAM for Skype to use it with the Panasonic Blue-Ray Player DMS BDT-310. But both components won't work together (but I have the impression that the player works in the initial phase of connecting with the CAM).And that is strange 'cause Logitech offers currently (2011-10) the same CAM (V-U0022) for European market and same compatibility like the US product (I have). This means that all European Panasonic TV product (beginning with TX instead of TC) are not compatible.So my hope continues some day the CAM works with the Player - nevertheless Panasonic switches via Firmware update currently all Players from Viera CAST to Viera CONNECT, the new web access.Up to that time I use the CAM with the PC. It works with Windows XP and Windows 7 and no external driver is necessary. Also it works with Logitech Webcam Software (LWS 2.30). You could use the mic but not the integrated speaker I assume the CAM have.My conversational partner confirms a very good image quality of the CAM.So in summery the resumee says usage with PC is given but currently not with any product outside the compatibility list. Three stars

This Logitech camera is being used on a Panasonic TC-L37DT30 LED HDTV. I am happy with the camera. Setup was easy. Video quality, while not fantastic, is good considering the lower speed of my home's wireless connection. However, there is an annoying feedback sound after a person speaks. It resembles snoring or a low rumbling as soon as the person finishes. This is on my TV side. The person on the other end is not getting the feedback on their PC or Android phone. Wish I knew an easy fix for this. Otherwise its very good.

Totally value for money and totally much better than the microsoft webcams that I have tried! The image is crystal clear (720p) and the microphone works like a charm! Easy to install (I didn't even have to insert the CD on Win7, almost Plug n Play!) and ii is flat enough, which makes it easy to store in my laptop bag.Cons:-limited rotation on the camera-the base that attaches it on my laptop screen is not the best, but if the laptop is stable, no problems! But this is something that almost all webcams have as a problem..101% to Logitech for their excellent products! Never got disapponted (I have a flat keyboard, a mouse and now the webcam.)All excellent products!

the Logitech TV camera for Skype works just as advertised. Do yourself a favor and ignore any reviews of one or two stars because the camera doesn't work with their Panasonic 3-D Blu-ray player. The camera is not designed to work with the player. It is clearly designed to work directly with TV enabled with Skype.To downgrade a product because it doesn't perform something that it was not designed to do is ridiculous.

I really like this webcam, because it performs just as good (on skype and other live video chats) as the "Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910" that I have.... Why is this you may ask, this is because programs such as skype reduces the quality of video to stream depending on how good your (and the person you are calling's) internet speed is. Most of the time it is only going to allow somewhere around 720p, so this is the perfect skyping ect. webcam (especially because of the price of it). There are a TON of features on this but I only have time to tell you a few of them: face tracking, 1-click upload to (Facebook, twitter, and YouTube), auto light correction, works with most every operating system, is practically plug-and-play, you can use it to catch your brother snooping on your computer (by setting it to motion activation which starts recording when it detects motion), and is easy to set up with skype (unlike some). It fits great on all monitors that are not REALLY thin (such as laptop screens) or some flatscreens. Ultimately this is great value for the money.

I liked this product. It was saying that this is not compatible with windows 7. But if you only make the adjustment for microphone(I use the one on the laptop) there is no other problem. Thank you for this cheap and helpful product.

Overall I am very happy with this webcam, I've purchased several video cameras before but this is my first actual webcam. I've used it to skype and let my kids record some youtube like videos. For the price this cam is great, video quality could be a little better, although lighting conditions in my office could be better. It sits well on a laptop or LCD monitor, but it is not very secure, it just kind of hooks over the top and doesn't really clamp down. For a laptop, I'd like it to be a little more secure, I'm just afraid it could get knocked off and break. Even if it did fall, it's light enough that I doubt it would break. I gave this one to my mom, and ordered a 2nd one for me, the C310 which is slightly better at 5mp, was actually $3 cheaper so I ordered that one, I hope it is same or better quality than the C270.

Very good quality! Much better than the Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 that I got two years ago. (That one is still for sale for around 30 bucks.) This little Logitech webcam was less than half the price, but seems to be twice the quality of the Microsoft one. It has much better video quality (better colors, clearer picture) and the audio is also quite clear. When I first used this webcam to Skype with my family, their first reaction was, "Whoa! This is a much better picture than usual!"Additionally, I like that it has motion-sensing capabilities, so if I wanted to know what was going on at home when I'm gone, I could set it to turn on and record when it senses motion. Was very easy to set up.

In the beginning, I was really sketchy about the quality of the webcam. After looking on some reviews on YouTube about the potential quality of the camera, I decided to give it a shot. It was completely better than I expected. The quality is really good and it has really neat features on it. I don't regret buying this webcam at all.

Despite what Logitech's website says, older G25 models that received the VieraConnect firmware update also support this camera. It's even called out on Panasonic's support page for these TVs. We received our camera yesterday, and it worked right out of the box. I do think that the price is artificially high compared to other high-quality webcams, but there's little one can do about this markup, unfortunately.

I bought this for my daughter in college and it works out great. Because she is on the college server, her computer has a hard time maintaining a picture. I purchased this to see if it would make a difference and it did. The video still cuts but not like it did before and it rarely freezes. I would assume in a home setting this would be great. She also enjoys the different things she can do to her pictures and videos.

The camera came really fast.It took only 2 days to get here. I downloaded the software for it on the internet and had it going in about 5 minutes. The picture quality was great and there was no lag in the video. Great webcam.

I bought the webcam so I could Skype with friends and family who lived far away. It is such a user friendly product. Installing it on my computer was very simple and I have not had any problems with it. The picture is clear as well as the sound it picks up.

I had a Logitech webcam that was pre-HD and have always really liked it. However, it's amazing the difference high-def video makes and the comparison is astounding. The HD cam looks amazing. Even when you toggle between 360 and 720 the difference is huge. Everything is so much clearer and crisper. The 'auto-lighting' has always worked well with my previous Logitech webcam and continues to be just as good with this one. My friend has a new panasonic HDTV and we hooked it up to that with absolutely no problem. The TV just knew that the cam was there and we were able to use it with no problem with Skype. He called me on my laptop and I could tell the difference versus any other video call I've had - it really is much cleaner and crisper. Also, I've been using this HD webcam on my Mac Pro which is running Lion and it works with no problems, either. I don't know if it will work on a PC, but it's definitely working on my Mac like the older webcam did - AND the picture looks great!Probably the only negative is the price. If you need this just for your computer then you can get the cheaper model that is not just for Panasonic. If you want it for your TV, and it is Panasonic - then you can spend a few extra bucks and get this.

Webcam is great especially for video calling over. My only negative comment is that it suffers with indoor light. Straight line noises appear in the video. I don't have a big room but I have two bright lamps. Other than that, this is a good purchase for the price. Still happy with my purchase.

Just wanted to reiterate that this webcam will work with some older (2010) model TV's. I have a TC-P50G25 plasma and it works great. I use it so that my in-laws (who live a long ways away) can video chat with my son. The great picture and field of view make it easy for them to see him playing with his toys/etc.

I really like the picture quality of this new camera. It has a wide range and seems to focus in on the subject better than other cameras do. I was super impressed when I plugged it in because my disk drive isn't working right now and I didn't have to use the software that comes with it. It was pretty much plug and play. Another awesome feature is that you can take quick still images with it and send them in emails to co-workers or friends. I find this especially great because I can show a colleague shots of my art or project without having to complete it fully or scan it or something. Not the traditional use of a webcam, but it helps me immensely! When using on Skype, it seems to be much clearer and "catch up" faster than an average camera. My old one use to lag and hang a lot. Over all, an excellent buy. The only thing I did not try out was the mic as I have a more powerful one on my system.

The price point for this camera really makes it a great product. To begin, the set-up was quick and easy, and the software installation was incredibly simple. Altogether it took no more than five minutes to have the camera fully set-up and installed. Although the camera only balances on top of the monitor, it has rubber grips that keep it steady and there is no fear of it falling off. The camera pivots so it is easy to move into different positions. The quality of the video and sound is excellent; everything is crisp and clear. It automatically worked with my Skype account, and after a few weeks of use I have yet to encounter any difficulties. I would definitely recommend this product at the price point Logitech has put it up for. Additionally, Logitech's customer service is excellent, I've had problems in the past and they did their best to provide me with second to none customer service.

I have this camera and it is very, very grainy. I have updated all the software to the latest but still very grainy. Other than that it is ok. So if you want a picture that is NOT grainy stay away from this one.

I was given this webcam but I wasn't sure if I would be able to use it since I could only use skype on my computer, not my TV. This webcam is advertised as focusing at the greater viewing distance of a TV, not the short distance at which a computer screen is viewed. But I needed a webcam so I tried it on my computer anyway. What was the worst that could happen, poor focus? I was surprised to see that it worked perfectly with super sharp focus! Even if I move right up close to it the focus is still excellent. Not only is the image super sharp, but it works very well in very low light. There was no special problem using it, either. My computer recognized it as soon as I plugged it in and automatically loaded the driving software. There was no problem with skype either. So, evidently this webcam is pretty smart!The same company also makes models specifically designed for computer use. Supposedly, the only difference is the focusing distance, but it is not clear to me what that difference would result in.

I enjoyed using a Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 WebCam since early 2006 and was happy with it's performance. I don't use a webcam daily, but often use it to chat and catch up with family and friends. Since my webcam was older and the opportunity presented itself, I chose to upgrade to the newer version.These days, webcams are a standard piece of hardware. Compared the QuickCam Pro 5000, the C600 shows little differences on the surface. The major visible difference relates to the privacy shade. On the Pro 5000, the flimsy shade only blocks the video; however the C600 mutes the sound when the integrated shade is activated. The universal clip has been redesigned, but neither seems to work better than the other on my flat screen monitor while both rest securely on top. The RightLight technology in both webcams works similarly well even though the C600 has a newer second version.Logitech has created and marketed their Vid program for web chatting. Set up of the Vid software is simple, as is connecting with others who have signed up. The problem with Vid is with who can use it. Those with Logitech webcams are permitted to use Vid with any webcam user. However, a person not using a Logitech webcam can install the software but will only be permitted to use it with others who use Logitech webcams. I really dislike the idea of requesting others to use a software program when they can't use it freely for themselves. Thankfully I'm not required to use Vid, and can chat with my family using the program they have signed up for.Playing recorded video from the webcam software requires Windows Media Player 9 or later to be installed. I don't use Windows Media Player, so recorded videos cannot be played directly from the webcam software. It's unnecessary for Logitech to force me into using a specific media player. They should either use a built in video player or open the video recording using the default option.The face recognition and video effects are just as effective on both models. It's amazing how well this technology works. The effects are fun to use with younger folks, my nine year old cousin cracked up with every change I made. However the face accessories would occasionally have difficulty keeping up with sudden head movements.The C600's biggest improvement can be seen in the HD video recording and snapshots themselves. The 2mp sensor combined with the glass lens produces a sharper image with far less noise and artifacts. The snapshots can't compare to a good 8mp camera, but are decent enough to create profile images and to show on the internet.Even though most features are similar or relatively equally effective, the C600 is clearly an improvement from the QuickCam Pro 5000. If the improved imaging over older models is important to you, the C600 is worth considering. I am a professional photographer so I am used to use professional equipment but I do like to have a simple solution for video blog and skype chats. This Logitech C270 camera meets that kind of requirement very well. It produces reasonably bright image without requiring perfect lighting, and the quality is good enough for this kind of consumer uses. I'm actually using it with MacPro and MacOS 10.6.8, which is officially not supported. But it just works as a basic webcam with skype, and photobooth program works as well. The microphone built into the camera is also usable in MacOS. I didn't install any driver or did any special configuration for this. However, the audio quality of the microphone is only so-so. Headset is much better. But that's because of the distance from the mouth to the mic, and not the quality issue.

I bought the product in may 2011, and after 8 months it stopped working. It only works when I hold and twist the usb cable, which is not very practical. I contacted support people but being that I bought the product in New Zealand and I wasn't living there anymore they couldn't do anything. Which it's ok, but not practical for the rest of us mortals that doesn't live on the "first world". Now that I know that I'm not buying another Logitech product ever.

I have been using this to talk to my friends and family. This is the best Cam that I had. Believe me I have tried some that you cannot hardly see the person you are talking too.This one did not let me down. I can see the people so clearly and have fun talking to friends and family. I really enjoy Skype and my friends are jealous because my cam is great and they need to upgrade theres. All in all its a great product and I will continue to use mine because I really enjoy it.

I was so glad I had this camera when I had to dial in to a video conference for work! The built-in camera on my laptop died unnoticed until I tried to log in to the meeting. Luckily, this camera was super easy to get set up and I didn't miss much of the meeting. The video from this camera was WAAAAY better than the video from my teammates who were using their laptops. Recommended.

I bought this camera hoping it would work with my VT25 Panasonic TV, and it did very well -for all of three Skype calls. As far as the camera itself it is small and inconspicuous. It was easy to set up and the video quality looked very good in far end tests. Mic pick up audio quality was also quite good, even eight feet away from the TV. Adjustments were very simple although I wish I could adjust the zoom while on a call. Now when I launch Skype from Viera Cast (now Viera Connect) the application immediately crashes. If I disconnect the camera the application runs, but as soon as it is connected the app crashes. Driver problem maybe? Skype said it's Panasonic's problem and vice-versa. There is no current fix, so beware.

The HD Webcam C270 arrived on time and was very well packed. The webcam was very easy to install and the picture that the other side sees looks like I'm in the next room. So far the C270 webcam has preformed great, I highly recommend this webcam.

I ordered this webcam the 12th ( it was a weekend ) it didnt ship till the 16th which i figured was cause i ordered on a weekend and vday , today is the feb 17th , and i got it within one day of shipping , the quality on it is actually pretty good only thing that is wrong with me it has like a a second or half of a second laag it seems, but its not a big deal, i payed $4.99 and free shipping for my webcam so i didnt expect it to b this good ,
