this is great quality for the price. If you're looking for something that's better than just your average cheapo webcam, but is not ridiculously expensive, this is the one. It has some cool features and filters on it. Works with gmail.

... at first. I used it mainly for photos and yahoo chat. But lately every time I plug it in, my computer goes to the blue screen and has to do some sort of crash dump thing! It's ridiculous! It's not the first time I've had a problem with a Logitech product, but it will be the last. I've wasted too much money on products that work well the first 6 months and then crap out. Don't waste your money!

Great little add-on video camera for a laptop. Small, good clip to attach it to the top of the screen border area.Although this is not the latest product from Logitech it is an excellent value and should please most anyone lookingto pickup a nice cheep add-on camera. One thing to keep in mind. The drivers on the disc are out dated so just plugthe unit in to the USB and let windows find the current drivers.

I have owned this for a little over 6 months and don't use it a lot. I have used it on both Skype and yahoo with no problem at all. I'm sure there are a lot better cams with more bells and whistles that cost a lot more money, but this works fine for me. It was simple to install, simple to use and does the job of basic video chats.

Not a great camera, but it works. I used it a lot last semester in order to Skype my friends at school. It tended to lag and the image/sound quality was subpar. If I were you, I would look at different cameras.

There are hundreds of webcams out there and it took me some time to decide on this one. No regrets. Delivered on schedule. Installed without a hitch. Reasonable price, good, clear video and sound quality, although I don't know how a slow internet connection would affect the video quality. I am very satisfied with this product and recommended it to a friend who bought it and liked it too.

My granddaughter had a webcam that had very poor picture quality. When I got my webcam & we tried to skype, all I could see of my great-granddaughter was a blur. Of course, this is the reason I wanted to skype with her! I had bought a Logitech 250 webcam & it had satisfactory quality, for a reasonable price. So I ordered this webcam for my granddaughter. It arrived quickly & now I can see my great-granddaughter as she is taking her first steps!! Wonderful.

The delivery and everything was pretty good.But the cam gets stuck before starting..but once it starts broadcasting its uninterrupted..can use it only on skype for now..doesnt work with yahoo messenger..and its a bit bulky for a 2MP camera..But then the price was the clincher..if looking for quality ,certainly this is not for you..

I took a flyer on this because I'm frequently disappointed by tech products. Basically, I'm just a user and don't understand most of the descriptions and directions written by people who's first, and perhaps only, language is hexadecimal or that make unfounded knowledge assumptions. I bought this product with some trepidation but my fears were unfounded. In a few simply described steps I got the camera running and everything works great!! Great product and great instructions!!

Got it expecting a mediocre cam. Easily installed drivers, and practically plug-and-play!Just used it on Skype, and it looks better than my friend's built-in cam by FAR!Not HD or anything, but certainly worth the price it sold for.

I bought this camera as a needed tool for an online class and had to return it. The minimum requirements do not state that it does not work with Windows 7. I could not install the drivers on my laptop, so I went to the Logitech website to try to find a driver for W7, but there is none. This camera is not supported for W7.

I am very satisfied with this product. The cam is small enough, but yet the quality is very good at a very inexpensive cost. I would definitely refer this on to friends and family.

This webcam is simply so easy a caveman could use it (wow that sounded corny). Anyway, the sound is a little scratchy. The picture quality is average at best; it's very fuzzy. Plus, there are not many features. By features I mean webcam settings, special effects, etc. It is just okay.

I bought this camera through amazon's Japan site (since I live in Japan)....the information about the camera doesn't say that you can't use with MAC, but when I got it, it didn't work. I emailed the company with my complaint, and they said, yes, indeed, this camera doesn't work with my MAC OS, and no they wouldn't refund my money,because it's not covered in the warranty, even though I hadn't used the camera. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Buy from a company who respects their customers!

It's not the best, it's ok for what I want it for. I don't use it much. Color don't show on my end when talking, but the other people can see me in color, I's really no big deal.

This is a compact camera for notebooks or desktops. Includes a nice stand for desktops. Must research to get to install on Vista or Win 7. Will not install from supplied disk. Need to attach and go to windows update and install then update that driver to get to work well. Once you are done you have a great webcam. The price was amazing and thinking about getting more. I like it once it was installed.

I purchased the Logitech C600 Webcam with built in Microphone. I was amazed at the quality of the Crystal Clear picture. The microphone works with no static interference. This is a wonderful product. It has some cute things Avatars and they're fun to use. I try not to use them because I'd rather talk with my family than have a dinosaur talking to them. One of the Avatars. I am VERY pleased with my purchase and will do more shopping in the future with Amazon. I highly recommend this Webcam. Before I purchased this item I read a lot of other rewiews and was very impressed.

This webcam is plug and play with Ubuntu Linux, no driver installation needed. I use it with the Ubuntu beta version of Skype, and it works flawlessly. Also works well under Windoze. Great image quality, a good microphone, and auto-adjusted light settings are testament to a quality webcam. The cover that slides down over the lens keeps the glass safe and makes having the camera sitting on the monitor a little less creepy.

I was looking for a mid cost unit and decided on the C600. Installation was a breeze and it's very easy to use. The only thing I missed when reviewing it was that it doesn't have an auto focus feature. If I'd caught that, I probably would have opted for a different model. I'm not to happy about the noise echo and there doesn't seem to be a way to completely eliminate it. It's annoying but not unbearable. Over all it's serving my purpose and I would recommend it to others that can live without the auto focus feature.

This cam is so different from my old webcam. This webcam is very clear (which I LOVE) and is sensitive to the light in the room (which is great). My room at night, is extremely dark. I have a dim light and it barely lights my room up, however the webcam has no problem seeing me! It is amazing. Also it makes great videos and it's so easy to make them. I'd say the only slightly negative difference (if that) with this cam and my other webcam is that when in use, it seems to be further away.** UPDATE: I've had this cam for 2 years now, and I have gotten a few updates for it. The cam keeps getting better and better. Now it captures me even better. Great cam that never ends!

I bought this webcam nearly a month ago or so and I really enjoy it. They clearity is very good and it doesn't lag. The song is very crisp and its very easy to set up. Granted, its better if you manually adjust the webcam's functions according to your computer. It is a verLogitech 2 MP HD Webcam C600 with Built-in Microphoney good webcam for the price and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have bought multiple different cameras for computers for my work and personal computer. The picture quality of this camera has no disinguishable difference than the $20.00 version from Logitech. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. But atleast it shipped in one day from Amazon, so the website was helpful.

I've never owned a webcam before, so anything I got is what I'd be happy with. Installed extremely easily on Vista, and shipped fast, as it turned out my college was responsible for losing my package. However, the box was damaged but my product seemed new. Works great.

If you want a really clear picture..don't buy this. But if you want a basic web cam and just are using it once in awhile..go with it. Otherwise..buy something more updated.

Whilst I appreciate that every laptop and it's specs are different, this is what I would have liked to know when I purchased this webcam: IT MAY REQUIRE A SOFTWARE UPGRADE. If I'd known this when I bought it, it would have saved me hours of frustration and calls to the Logitech helpdesk.I didn't read all the reviews but I read enough to get the impression that there MAY be sound issues with this product. I thought I'd risk it.... After spending hours fiddling with connections, rebooting things, adjusting microphone settings, subjecting friends to static feedback, etc,etc I realised that it might not be me(!) so I called the Logitech Helpdesk, they checked the serial number and I discovered that this product was manufactured in 2005 and that the drivers were out of date. Fortunately it was an easy fix.Please bear this in mind if your sound doesn't work. My sound was at best intermittent, at worst non-existent with the drivers supplied with the webcam. I suspect they may be out of date for XP and probably Vista.The upgrade was available at the Logitech website and according to the Helpdesk the latest software and drivers this particular model will support are "Quickcam 11.1". The helpdesk directed me to the right link.Whilst the solution was very straightforward once I knew what was wrong I spent the best part of a day tearing my hair out when all I needed to know was that this product was manufactured in 2005 and since then the software had been updated by Logitech. They are very helpful if you need to speak to them, their number's on their website under "support".Now that the sound is fixed I'm quite happy with this little gadget, it works pretty well with Skype, pictures and sound are good and for a first webcam, and the price, it does the job. If I was buying another one I may spend a bit more because as usual in terms of time, money and frustration you get what you pay for.

Through Amazon Vine, I recently received a review unit of the Logitech Webcam C600. Of all the webcams I've owned and used, this is probably the best of all of them. They don't work and perform much better than this.As with most Logitech items, the install was painless. Put the CD in, plug in the camera when the prompt comes up, and you're pretty much done. There's an option to Logitech's video mail service, but I passed on that one as I have far too many other mail services already.When I started the camera, I was impressed with both the video and sound quality. The video ranges from small standard def sizing to full-screen high-def video. And with their face-tracking feature, you can actually move around a bit in front of the camera and stay centered in the picture. The sound was even more of a surprise. I was able to get excellent recording quality with the cam sitting a normal distance from where I'd be sitting. I even had a fair amount of residual background noise, and it didn't distract or overrun the volume and quality of the playback. Very nice...There were a couple of nice features in the actual hardware, also. The base features the fold-out stand that allows you to prop the camera up on a variety of video screens. But it also folds flat enough that you can set it on a desk without it falling over. The top part of the camera has a flip-down privacy cover, which is highly convenient. You just slide it down over the lens, and you are assured of complete privacy from inadvertent viewing.I would highly recommend the Logitech Webcam C600 for anyone who was in the market for one. For the price and feature set, it's hard to beat.

I may sound like a caveman when I say this...but this is my first webcam! I've been wanting one for years. You could definitely say that I'm not exactly tech-savvy. And, that was much of the reason why I never got a web cam.When I received my Logitech webcam I was a little apprehensive about installing it. However, it was one of the most simple operations I have ever performed on the computer. Within minutes, I was finished, had it clipped onto my monitor and was trying to think of who I was going to contact first.This IS the future. When I was a kid they always talked about possibly one day having video phones. That day is here and to add to the excitement, you don't have to pay for long distance! My cousin who lives out of state has a cam and now we can talk as long as we want plus enjoy mugging for the camera.As I said, I never owned a web cam before, so I don't have anything to compare this one to. But, I will say that the picture and sound from the Logitech is wonderful. It has like 8 megapixels which is supposed to be really good, right? I noticed that this camera is a little higher priced than some listed on Amazon, but it also looks like it is of much better quality than some of them.I also like the fact that you can flip the lens cover down on this. Not only to keep the lens clean, but it's also nice knowing I can't be spied on inadvertantly.So, I highly recommend this little unit. If you're like me and want a good web cam that is easy to install and easy to use, then this is your baby.

Bought this webcam for my 85 year old aunt in California to skype with her brother in Michigan. It's so user-friendly, she had no problem setting it up and loves being able to Skype.

This is a very decent product. With good lighting you will get very nice and clear video/pics. Its great little product for video chatting. Good price as well. No regrets. However If I had extra money to spend i'd definitely get a higher model.

I don't know why everyone loves this webcam, maybe I got a dud. This camera has never worked properly for me. I've reinstalled it about 10 times and now it won't even turn on. The installation process failed on multiple occasions. This is the most frustrating piece of equipment I have ever used. Maybe it's because I'm running Windows Vista. Who knows. All I know it that I want my money back.

I bought this for my desktop but tested this on my laptop to compare the quality.Mic quality was better than my laptop and video quality was nt bad for 1.3 MP.Worth the money.

The camera itself is fantastic and comes with a lot of great features. It's unfortunate that it doesn't clip over my laptop. Fortunately, it also comes with a little camera stand so I don't have to clip it over my laptop.

I am about to rate it 5 stars as the one I brought months ago works consistantly fantasic so far, and if it keep its performance until early next year, I might wanna buy another one and rate it 5 at that time. Really easy to use, no installation is needed on my PC, it's automatically opening when being connected to the computer.

This is the first webcam I've ever purchased and I think it is pretty good. I'm sure there are better quality webcams out there but I was looking for an inexpensive one. It was easy to set up and use. I've been told by my friends and family that the picture on their end is better than others that they have seen.

This webcam may work for both Mac and PC, but I would not recommend it for use with a Mac.Logitech does not seem to support any advanced features for this cam. There are no software downloads for Mac that are available for PC. I am using this cam for looking outside to post to an internet site, and the quality just isn't there. I know that it does not have a high resolution, but that was not required for looking outside.I bought this and a Logitech mouse at the same time and the mouse is having the same issues. This will be the last time I buy Logitech for my Macintosh computers.

This camera was a very contraversial one. I bought 2 cameras (one for me and the other for my boyfriend) and my camera and mic worked perfectly fine....but my boyfriend's didn't. His camera had a terriable quality (I could barely see his face it was so blurry!) and his mic didn't work at all. I suggest you save your money and buy a better webcam.

Had to return product sight unseen because after further research, I find that this doesn't work for a Mac G4 desktop! Still can't find one inexpensively. Won't be able to skype now. Might have to just buy new computer. Anyone else have suggestions?

Good basic camera/software for Skype. Easy to install and get online. Got it for my Grand kids older XP Desktop computer but they were a little disappointed. They want more bling on the software side (like avatars). They are comparing it to my new Laptop camera software which they love.
