I can't get the webcam focus corrected,and the image remains too blurry to even identify who it is. After trying several times to use the webcam I gave up and put it back in the package.

This little camera is working well now that I have finally got it working!When I used the installation software that came on the CD, it would crash my laptop (Windows XP Pro) each time I tried to use the web cam. The latest installation software available from the web has fixed this problem. So great camera, but watch out on the install!

I have owned several webcambs before this one. It exceeded my expectations. Better resolution than other logitec webcams and great function of improving light/brightness output even if there is little light in the room. The reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because I was not able to make the microphone work. I definitely recommend this webcam.

Very easy to install and decent picture quality for the price. The bundled mic (attached to earbud) works surprisingly well even when placed a few feet away on the desk (best to use system speakers for sound output).

Works great, no problem with focus that some reviews mentioned. Also it is possible to just install the drivers rather then the full 100MB plus package of extras if you don't need them, just read the directions on the CD initial screens! Clip may be a little restrictive if your laptop cover is very thick or is very curved at the edge but it works fine for me and should work well on most laptops.

This is the best of three webcams that I own. It has great resolution, easy to use, portable and fits easily and securely on my laptop. No disappointment at all with this item. Great value and makes me smile.

We bought this for my husband's laptop. He was going out of town and we wanted to be able to see each other. And of course, he wanted to see the kids. Not only can we see each other, we can do video, take still shots and more. We have not even seen all it can do!

it came out out good, as described. shipping was also fast. no complaints till now (it's been 2 months). Also the microphone with the webcam is very good, no need to use headset. It's little costlier than other normal webcams but this one is good for notebooks. Mine is HP, it fits very well on the top of notebooks so no issues of webcam is not holding up a desk or so. Also angle can be changed to give e better view. I would definitely suggest this one for those who are looking notebook webcams.

Bought this for my wife, works fine but the software that comes with the camera is bloatware. If you try and just load drivers, the camera doesnt seem to work as well. For the price its fine, but logitech should allow a driver only install.

i bought it used a couple days ago and just received it. let me tell you its better than most. first of all its Logitech. that says alot. also its clip is very unique. can be put on laptops, pcs, even end of tables or anything where it holds at an angle.

This was my first webcam purchase so I did a bit of research before I actually purchased it. So far, I really love it and the camera is very cute (a lot smaller than what I had imagined). Installing was very easy and very quick. I was concerned about the clip when I read the other reviews, but it fits my Dell XPS M170 laptop very well. I purchased this camera to use with Skype and the quality of the picture is great. Although it seems the picture is better on the receiving end. When I see the image on my screen, it seems grainy to me. I had planned on just using my Logitech mic that I use for gaming but when I called relatives, they said that the mic sounded good and didn't echo. The USB cord is the perfect length since I already have a jumble of wires behind my laptop so that was a plus. Only thing I really would like is auto focus but once you focus it the first time, you don't really need to adjust it anymore. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

This webcam does not work with notebooks. I have a brand new Dell Inspirion 1705 and it does not work consistently. I thought maybe it was because of Vista, but it says that it is Vista compatible. I was able to get it working 1 time, and it had a very clear picture, but I have not been able to get it to work since. I have notified Logitech, but have yet to receive a response after 2 weeks.

The main thing that people need to know when looking at this product is that it is designed for laptops. It has a very sleek and compact design with a nice carrying case to go with it. The microphone/headset is also a very attractive piece. But asthetics aside, here are a few key points regarding this this product:Pros:- Compact and easy to take anywhere your laptop goes- Good video quality (as tested with MSN Messenger). I compared this to other webcams which tauted a true 1.3 megapixel image. The lighting adjustments that are available and the face-tracking are also a helpful addition. I cannot seem to get the frame rate all the way up to 30 fps, but that may be due to my computer and my connection.- Easy installation. It is very easy to set up.Cons:- I think webcams in general are stil a little complex for users who are not technologically savy. I tried have a couple older relatives install it on their own. No go. But this would be true of any webcam.- The USB cord which comes out of the camera is short. I have a small laptop... but for users with mega-media-laptops, depending on the USB port location, the cord will probably be just long enough, without much extra give.- The carrying case does not fit the camera and headset neatly. (Or at least I can't figure it out).Additional notes on the software: The video effects are nice, but it doesn't seem to do well with my face. It actually does better with my wife's face. It essentially tracks your facial structures and moves and changes the 3D animated image to match it. It is a really nice touch. But it may be more or less effective depending on your facial features.About the hardware: The headset itself is average. I like that it is very compact. The ear piece fits nicely on my ear. But it's not the best quality microphone for use with programs such as Skype.Summary: All in all, I am pleased with the product - mainly because I had reasonable expectations on what a notebook webcame would be. I recommend this product for those who, like me, need to use it on the go.

Got this unit for Christmas but have used a larger Quickcam in the past on my laptop.Was using this camera with Yahoo IM...works OK but video was slow and choppy. Was not sure if this was Yahoo, the camera, or a little bit of both. This was the same as my old webcam.But I upgraded my Skype today to the new v2.x that has video. Skype video works AWESOME....could not believe how good it looked and how smooth the video was...especially since this is still their first version. Sype even lets you go into a full screen video mode...looked good there too even at the native resolution.But back to the camera itself....Main reason I wanted this was for its size. I travel quite a bit and wanted something very small and easy to pack since I also lug around quote a bit of other stuff..PDA, cell phone, laptop, etc. 5 Stars here....nice little neoprene case with velcro is included.The unit has a spring loaded tab-like clip at its base for attaching to the top of your laptop. I've seen the mixed reviews here about this and was not really sure what to expect. But it seems to work well for my IBM T41. Fits nice and secure. I would guess this is one of those areas where no matter what it will be impossible to make it perfect for everybody. It could probably be a little better...but then it might be bigger and more expensive. I'd bet this will fit just fine for about 90-95% of laptops out there...The cable itself is only about 2 ft...good for me since it is only going from the USB port to the top of the laptop. But some people may find this too short if they wanted to place the camera on a table or elsewhere. Obviously a USB extension cable would solve that problem.Small complaint...the unit does indeed swivel from its base...but only about 40 Deg. max. Would have been nice to have a wider tilt range...when clipped to the laptop you will need to move the lid of the laptop to "help" out with the tilt if needed.Absolutely no issues with software...XP-Pro SP2 here.I indeed recommend this product to road warriors like me.

No problems with installation with Vista (the driver on CD comes with the quickcam), after 5 minutes everything was working. The picture is good.

Don't waste your money on this outdated camera. Yes, you are visible with this camera but the quality is so poor, grainy and blurry, it made the whole experience quite disappointing. Spend a little more for a better product.

I love the easy way this operates. It is so simple anyone can use. I previouly had bought another brand and couldn't get it to work. I am not an engineer. This one only has one problem for me. I say for me because I may be using it wrong. That is keeping it clipped to my pc. I am a great-grand-mother and love keeping in touch with my family. Jean

I tried installing in Windows Vista. And see what...Windows Vista crashed! It gave the Blue screen of death. Camera and volume are good. Not possible to clip in a notebook if the top edge is plain (without a small step like protrusion). Even with an edge, clip doesn't hold good. I am wondering how Logitech has approved the clip in the first place.

If you're a high tech, time is money, quality is the key type techno, this is not for you. If you're a spread apart family that would enjoy seeing the grandkids grow this is the camera for you. It's a free long distance phone/video call that can pre-planned to a certain day and time that the whole family can sit in on. Slight delay on movement and speech but the old and the young find it fabulous. Used it with Skype program, free download. Enjoy!! We do.

Nice and compact with a short cable and a carrying pouch. Convenient for laptops. The only negative is that you have to manually focus your camera. Works with both PCs and Macs (with Macam drivers - the picture in the mac is actually better). Would reccommend it.

Picture and sound quality are VERY poor from this little device. It does not have a noise canceling device so quite often an echo can be heard. The video is small, grainy, and dark. Although the camera fits nicely on the top rim of my laptop screen, it is not very adjustable up or down/side to side and since the video window is so small, it often sets the subject off to one side or the other instead of centered. The only thing that I like about these 'Quickcam's' is that they are extremely easy and straightforward to use.I ended up purchasing the 'Pro' version of this camera at the same time and have been very pleased with it. I recommend to anyone considering purchasing this product to spend the extra money and get the Pro version.

I purchased this webcam a month ago. It works pretty well. Very easy to install, take videos, and take photos. The light balance feature is also particularly helpful. It doesn't have perfect picture quality, but is still pretty good.One slight problem: The software does not come with a voice recorder...when using a voice recorder and the software they give you, it caused my computer to shut down and had to recover from serious errors. So don't open two things that use a webcam at once!

I really like this one, because it is small. The picture quality is good (I had problems getting a clear picture in the begining, but all I had to do was turn the lense to focus). I really like that it has a build in microphone and speaker. So much better than sitting with your headset.The only thing I don't so much like is that it doesn't fit snug on my laptop and it can fall off when I close my computer (I have a Dell laptop)All in all I really like this product.

I travel frequently for work and wanted something that would better connect me to my family back home. This product is small which makes it easy to travel with. It is incredibly easy to set up and use with my HP laptop. This has been a great purchase.

Overall this is a great webcam. Picture quality is great and the low light filter works really well. The face tracking feature works better than I thought it would too. The built-in microphone is really sensitive and gives a lot of feedback on the other end if you pick the camera up to move it, but I'm sure there is a way to disable the microphone...I just haven't figured that out yet. It is really small too(a little bigger than a book of matches). I recommend buying a USB extension cable along with this purchase because the attached cable is about 3 feet long. For the money and size, I definitley recommend this webcam!

This camera has great image definition and the software is updated every now and then with cool stuff.The camera is not cheap, but is worth, the only 2 bad issues are that the camera gets hot after few minutes of usage, no mayor problem is created if you use it under a well ventilated room, and the other issue is that if you use your PC as a desk pc, or you want to place your camera over a certain distance from your PC; you may need a larger cable to connect the USB (this issue can be fixed with an extension, but you need to add some $$ to the original price), other than those minor problems the camera is excellent.

PRICE IS REASONABLE FOR A WEBCAM THAT PROVIDES 'JERKY' VIDEO DURING CALLS.I GUESS WHEN INTERNET TECHNOLOGY IMPROVES SO WILL THE IMAGE.I HAVE USED THIS CAMERA THREE TIMES FOR CHATS BECAUSE, IT WAS NOT "WOW"! (AND REALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES). THE CAMERA CLIP DOES NOT EFFECTIVELY GRIP THE TOP OF MY FUJITSU LAPTOP AND OFTEN REQUIRES ADJUSTMENTS TO STAY PUT...SO I USE THE STAND (PROVIDED) INSTEAD.

Before picking up this one, I've tried Microsoft NX-6000 and Logitech Fusion to pare with my Dell M1210 w/o much success. In both mentioned cameras microphone didn't work with Vista Ultimate RTM installed in my notebook. With this one, the mic did work right away, but I needed to install the new driver from Logitech site (QuickCam v10.4.0 Build 1401) to get the picture. Both video and voice performed extremely well even in the very low light condition (dusk, after sunset in the room with no indoor light, just undraped window). All my peers mentioned very good picture quality. I am totally satisfied with the purchase and recommend this product to anyone looking for miniature 2-in-1 solution.

I purchased this camera to use when traveling. I also have and use a Logitech QuickCam 5000 Pro (see my review for that camera), so I take this camera (the Notebook Pro) with me on trips.It comes with a small, rigid case to protect it as well as a wired earpiece (headset with microphone). The camera works with the driver/software to automatically manage the image (color balancing and exposure) as well as the audio (eliminating most of the echo).I have used it with MS Communicator (the corporate version of MSN Messenger) as well as Skype. Works well with both; the image is clear and colorful and the audio is clear and clean. The clip it comes with to hold on to the screen is somewhat unstable to use with the IBM Thinkpads given that the screens on these notebooks have a wider edge. However, if you don't play around too much with the camera it holds on well.Overall, it is a pleasure to work with.

i have brought this Logitech webcam recently, at 1st, i was a little hesitating because of the price, but because i need one, so i bought it any way.I am very pleased with the quality (the image) of this webcam, especially when the light is not shinned right on my face (back-light), it adjusts the brightness automatically. i guess just like the old say "what you paid is what you get".

This cam has really good quality. It's little and compact, and of course you can put it on your notebook. I gave it four stars because I tried it on my brother's laptop, and it wouldn't get hooked on it. His screen was too thin.

I researched different webcam/videophone solutions in order to purchase a gift for my in-laws and my daughter to communicate long distance. I wanted the easiest solution for them since they are not computer literate. Cost wasn't the first factor but I didn't want to spend $500 on a crappy solution. I looked at a couple of videophones, they seemed to be easy but they were definatley more expensive, and the reviews they were getting were not good. So I decided to go with a webcam, they were cheaper and had better reviews.Since we both had laptops I chose the QuickCam. Let me start off by saying that it fit perfectly on both dell laptops. It was extremely easy to install on both laptops (running XP). I am not a manual reader so at first I was playing around with the software until I realized that the actual video conferencing software needed a subscription. So I decided to try a free messesnger webcam viewer. I tried Yahoo Messenger and found it to be very confusing. You had to broadcast, and sometimes you got super broadcast; and sometimes not even though I always have broadband.That experience prompted me to try the software that logitech offers. They offer a 30 day free trial; so I downloaded, installed and registered. It worked great, the picture is clear and there is very little delay. It is easy to use and fairly impressive software. It really enhanced the camera experience.The bottom line is that this camera is great for the price. If you want to fiddle around with 3rd party software (aol, yahoo, msn) the cost really great, but performance may take a hit. If your company owns professional software for video conferencing the cost is great. If you use logitechs videocall both parties need to use it and be subscribed with defferent accounts boosting the cost. BUT there is little delay, and it is easy to use.

I recommend this one. In some computers the webcam has installation problem so you cannot use the add on features.
