I don't have any problem with the Non-Retail/Bulk Packaging.However, the 2 webcams I got have multiple scratches and no visible S/N (blacked out with marker).I'm quite sure Logitech will not provide any warranty without a S/N.

Simply AWESOME on our Panasonic Viera TC-L42D30! Soooo much better and easier than Skyping from our laptops, now the whole family can make calls together from the living room.. TV detects and configures camera automagically when plugged into a USB port. You must be using a 2011 Panasonic tv, as far as i know plugging it into a Panasonic DVD box won't do you any good, so chalk up some of the neg reviews for this product to user error. Provides a much wider field of vision (ie living room view) and an outstandingly clear image. We have a 2 year old and can lounge around on saturday mornings in front of the tv and Skype grandma & grandpas, cousins, etc. And the 2 year old can't muck with the laptop or keyboard as she was doing previously, often hanging up the calls in the process. Everyone is really happy with the new setup, especially those at the other end who can see us so much better now. We own a Logitech C910 also which works great attached to a desktop computer but this camera is way better. The Viera web app we use the most is Amazon Instant Video, YouTube has been great also, but the Skyoe app has now quickly become one of our new favorites. Yes it's pricey but i consider this purchase worth every penny. If you own a 2011 Panasonic tv, buy this camera. If you're looking to buy a new tv, i'd suggest considering a Panasonic as Skype & the Logitech webcam adds a whole new way to use your tv that other brands can not match yet. Hopefully Logitech will work to make the camera hardware compatible with other tv brands.

I'm not an expert in this area. But my Son is and he (and I) was very disappointed in the first cam I got. Okay it was only 14.95 but had decent reviews. I'm on a fixed income and have to watch my spending.I tossed in the trash, literally. It was that bad.This one is a GEM! The quality looks like it's way more expensive and it comes with software to have fun with. My son can see me clearly when we Skype and also thinks it's perfect for me.It took me a while to find it on Amazon, it was near the end. But it practically jumped off the page to me and I'm glad it did.

Logitech makes great products and surely this webcam is no exception. I could not believe all the features it has, especially for the price! Zoom - left - right - up and down adjustments are great. And, the sound quality is crisp, clear and loud with zero distortion. I will buy several more as Christmas presents.

First, I want to address the price, since I'm sure you have noticed this product is more expensive than a typical computer webcam. The reason is that most smart TV's don't have the same CPU power as your laptop/computer, so the TV has to rely on the webcam to perform the video/audio compression. Adding this to the webcam costs money, but if you are connecting it to a computer, you are paying for something you won't ever use.So, if you have one of the TV's on the compatibility list, you have 3 choices: The original Panasonic camera, a low cos knock off, and this one. Having read poor reviews of the first two options, i opted to get this model as a gift for my brother to connect to his new Panasonic GT30. When he opened it, we decided to try it out on my own new VT30 to make Xmas calls. W easily downloaded the Skype app, registered the TV to our account, and recieved our first call. The camera easily picked up voices 15 feet away, and the 720p video stream was perfectly clear.We've sinced tried it on The GT30 and the process was just as easy. Highly recommended for those on the compatibility list. If you intend to connect to something NOT on the list, be prepared to return it; you gadget is not a general purpose computer that can download drivers on th fly; there is a good chance it won't work.

This camera and combined mic are really excellent and the price is very good too. My family across the world say it's the best quality Skype audio/video they have ever received from me.It installed easily with Windows 7 and works fine.Logitech HD Webcam C270, 720p Widescreen Video Calling and Recording (960-000694)

Great image, for a cheap webcam. The video quality is better than I need. It was easy to set up (plug and play with windows 7, no drivers needed). The mounting system is kind of crappy.. would be nice if there was a way to mount it more sturdily. For $20, I can't really complain.

This was a bare camera. No retail package, instructions, or CD with software and driver. I downloaded software from Logitech web page and loaded it up. The camera works fine. Price was reasonable.

Was expecting a low-quality knock off webcam, but this thing really passed my expectations by a long shot. I even have friends and family commenting on how well the quality it on their end. For the price, no complaints here.

The drivers are pish logitech drivers on Win8 Pro. The quality only goes up to 720p. If you are a #geek and love making movies, stear clear and buy a Creative brand cam....

Will not load drivers from installation disc. When I plug in the webcam it causes my computer to CRASH big time (blue screen of death) BSOD. I searched online several other are having the same problem with this webcam. Beware, DO NOT BUY!

The webcam that I received was the Logitech C250 (so far, so good). That's all I received. It came in a plastic bag, with no CD, no packaging, and no instructions. The bag was in a padded envelope, not the ideal way to ship electronics. The webcam doesn't work with either my PC (running Windows 7) or my laptop (running Windows XP). I had to download a 139 Megabyte file from Logitech to get the webcam to run (which I haven't accomplished yet). It causes a power surge on the hub port, which I think means that it needs more power than the USB port can deliver. Now I need to look for a powered USB hub to try to fix this problem. Nowhere in the writeup (which was lifted from the manufacturer's site) does it say that this may not work with all computers. Nowhere does it say that you will not receive everything listed on the page. In fact, there is a picture on the product page that is completely irrelevant, as it shows the webcam safely packaged in a box.Please note that all 5-star reviews for this product are actually related to the product as sold by a different vendor.

Length:: 1:17 MinsI am impressed with the quality of the video that is created by the C600. The model above this one the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 / QuickCam Pro 9000 seems to be the top seller at the moment here at Amazon. It has auto focus and the Carl Zeiss ultra-wide angle lense; however this C600 provides you with clear focus with an incredible depth of field, even without the autofocus feature. I couldn't find any aperture, or digital equivalent specs, but in the old world, a super small aperture would create the greatest depth of field, and that is what this camera does. It is clear right up close, and if you look at a video, either a movie or still shot, the items deep into the background, even 30 feet away are also very clear. So you could say it has the ultimate autofocus; one that doesn't have to adjust. The mounting capabilities are well designed also; they enable you to easily park it on top of your laptop, or desktop screen, or fold the brackets over, and make a counter top portable cam out of it. (Use a USB extension cable if you need more length. It comes with over a yard of cable already.I am very pleased with the video quality, and since that has been covered so well in the other reviews, I thought I would expound on one feature that I find worthwhile. Most people are camera shy. They may be hesitant to purchase a web cam that is going to invade their "privacy". Built into the included Logitech Web Cam software is a feature called masks. They have an assortment of masks that you can quickly click on, and the other party will hear your clear voice, but see a funny face, such as a cat or a dog etc. with your eyes and mouth in it, and not be able to see the rest of you. You may have seen these types of video effects on Conan Obrien. They also have a privacy shade that you can project, for example a beach scene so you can not be heard or seen. If the party on the other end of the video want to project their image to you, you will then have an, I can see you but you can't see me, but hear me scenario. On the days when you are presentable, or have someone who is a family member let's say, you can turn on the live camera, and see it all. Another feature that is called "Fun Filters" enables you to create a blur or effect, which is once again, another way to create a level of privacy.The included movie took only a few minutes to create. The Logitech Web Cam software and the included Logitech Vid software which enables you to phone a friend, and have what is actually free phone service using your internet connection, both are both very intuitive and easy to use. I right off the cuff created the 3 clips individually, using the dog face, the cat face, and then the man in the sky face, and then simply opened them up in the Windows Movie Maker application that comes free with the Windows operating system. That too is so intuitive, that within a few minutes I had a finished production, and then spent a few more minutes editing the title. The whole thing adds up to a very creative, fun, exciting, and enjoyable experience; the kind of thing that you wouldn't hesitate to email to a friend, and even bother to make up a new one on the fly just for them.Installing the web cam and software couldn't be easier. The application allows you to fine tune the quality level. The level of quality capability is contingent upon your computers performance. The factory default settings allow this web cam to provide a very nice level of quality, and work on most any machine. Check for minimum system requirements if you have a question about that.All in all the C600 is a very nice web cam. Comparing it to the Pro model that is a few years older in design, whereas the C600 is a newer entree, the pro model is outselling it right now, due to its current slightly lower selling price, it has a Carl Zeiss ultra-wide angle lense, and this one has Logitech's own high quality glass (unlike the cheapest model which uses plastic). They both have 2.0 MP 1600 x 1200 pixels video and 8.0 MP photo quality. I don't have the pro model for doing a side by side comparison, so I can't really comment on that, but I have to say, I am super pleased with the C600 and would recommend it to anyone.

Even though this camera is discontinued, I bought one to use with my TC-P50UT50. The TV recognizes the camera, but they don't seem to play well together; in the adjustment menu sometimes the video feed locks up and I need to unplug and reconnect the camera to get a picture again. I haven't been able to get a video call to work at all. I guess it really only works with the 2011 TVs?

This is the greatest! The install is EASY. The picture is great. Works perfectly with Skype.I did not install the internal "video phone", just Skype. It immediately connected.For $25, it is a steal!!!!Great picture and sound. Comes with microphone. Everything is included.
