Logitech's TV Cam for Skype-Enabled TVs is a excellent addition for living rooms or even conference rooms, for those that have compatible Panasonic televisions. I was skeptical in the beginning, but this camera packs a punch. The only real downside is the list of compatible TVs, but it's hard to say whether that is due to Logitech or other TV manufacturers.Configuring the cam was simple and it only takes a few minutes to get going. The quality is excellent and the video is extremely smooth, although your outcome may vary with your internet connection speed. The wide angle lens gets a good view of even relatively small rooms. I was really impressed by the video quality, not to mention fairly quick autofocus (which is often a weak point in web cams) and the clear microphone. It did a good job of reducing background noise while picking up the voices of multiple people in the room.A standard usb cable is included, but you also get an extension cable. An extension cable is only a small addition, but it's nice to see that they did not leave out the details. The overall design of the unit is fairly smooth and it has a small footprint. Logitech did an excellent job of creating a quality product that delivers on just about every point. If the list of compatible devices could grow, this would be a popular product.

This is a great webcam. Picture quality is outstanding and the mic is sensitive enough for this to be used at over 5m distance. Installation was easy. Especially for the price, this is a great deal!

Bought this to skype with built in Skype app on the VieraCast menu. Bought the refurbished model a few days ago and set it up in about 2 minutes. Has a USB extension cable so entire length from camera to USB plug in is 11 feet! Very handy for such a big TV with entertainment center. In-laws said the picture quality is phenomenal as they have a KURO so the HD 720p pictures from this camera are really well appreciated.I'll update more after several more uses. Feel free to ask questions.

After trying every trick in the book to try to get this Logitech / Panasonic piece of garbage to work as advertised, I finally came across one of many other complaints online in which people present evidence that the camera does NOT display video for anyone who is sending or receiving with a Mac. This directly contradicts both Logitech's and Amazon's description of the product (to this day, Amazon STILL misrepresents that it works with Mac). I bought this falsely advertised "paperweight" specifically because it is supposed to work with my new 65" Panasonic plasma and the Skype app that is included with VieraCast. What a load of misrepresented garbage! Of course, it is now "too late" to return it to Amazon. I'm sorry that it took me more than 30 days to figure out that both Logitech and Amazon blatantly misrepresent the product's capabilities for Mac users. The people at Amazon need to step up to the plate here and make an exception to their return policy!

I love this web-camera! live apart from my family, so I Skype them as often as it is possible. Before, I had a very crummy low quality camera. This camera gives a clear HD picture and I have no problems with it. Thank you!

A remarkable product by Logitech, this camera does an excellent job in capturing HD videos with superior audio and video quality. Video/audio quality during video-calls via Skype is equally superior.However, the biggest limitation of this product is its compatibility with only a handful of Panasonic TVs. I really don't understand the logic behind this, but maybe there is something more complex which my grey cells refuse to decode.When you develop such a great product, you gotta make it compatible with lot more TVs and BD players than just that of one brand. To make it worse, per other reviews this camera does not work with Panasonic BDVD players either.I am using it with my laptops and enjoying it plug n play connectivity and excellent quality, but would love it more if it works with another TV/BDVD player. I plan to buy a Panasonic DMP-BDT310 Integrated-Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray DVD Player soon, but haven't been able to confirm its compatibility with Logitech TV Cam for Skype, HD Video Calling on Compatible Skype-Enabled TVs yet.If you have one of the compatible TVs, I highly recommend this product. IT is good and can stand with stability on the top of your TV set. Enjoy video chats from living room!

Simple, easy to use, no problems. That's how I would describe the C200. It doesn't try to do things it shouldn't, and it does everything it says it does. Too bad they don't make 'em anymore. Grab 'em while you can the price is a steal!

This is a nice webcam that is easily installed. My skype partners have indicated how much better I look! I am still disappointed that Logitech did not provide support for my old webcam in the new OS.

Was very easy to set up out pf the box (even my dad could do it with little IT support).The picture is OK, but in low light there is significant fixed pattern noise.

This webcam was easy to install and shows a pretty clear picture. I gave it 4 stars only because I wish it was a way that you could tighten it to the monitor and still adjust your view.

At this price, this camera is awesome. I bought it when it was slightly more expensive as a gift to family overseas. We had to try it out before sending it. It works perfectly and our friends on the other side of the monitor said it gave better picture than our camera which is the logitech pro 9000 (supposedly best). But our other camera is already 3-4 years old and this one is brand new so maybe it performed better because of that reason. I can see that this one blurs you easily when you move too fast, so it is not of the same quality as ours, but for the price it is a great buy. Sound was clear too.By the way, I didn't use the disk it came with, it installed itself within a minute and was ready to use. So it definitely is plug and play if you have a windows 7 computer.

This review will be short and to the point: This thing is barely usable. Type the words:C270 vertical linesinto your search engine and see what I'm talking about. This camera is not "HD" by any stretch of the imagination.

The camera worked great for about two weeks with good HD picture quality. However, after that period the camera started having vertical line noise where previously the picture was excellent. I tried a clean install of drivers as well as testing the camera on a different machine and the lines remained. It appears that the hardware failed. This seems to be a common problem with this camera based on forums yet Logitech has not made a clear statement on it.I have had other Logitech webcams that worked great for a long time, but this is a camera I would avoid if you are looking for reliable hardware.

This webcam is very neat, small and very easy to mount anywhere. The price was very acceptable. I don't use it everyday, but when I do, it works great. It's worth it.

Its showing vertical lines especially at highest resolution, somewhat less in widescreen mode. Their tech support said this is normal and this is the quality I should expect! Totally quality control with one a customer totally unsatisfied. I am NOT buying any other Logitech again.

I bought this for a friend so we could chat while she was at work. I was pleasantly surprised at how crisp and clear the video was. It was incredibly easy to set up and is very small so it doesn't take up much space. I big recommend for this.

I thought the product was a very great deal for the price I paid. After installing the software (which has a lot of extras that you really dont need), the camera works very well. I haven't used it for VoIP yet, but just using it as a camera to record, it's pretty cool! It zooms in on your face if you chose to...which is really cool. It follows your face around.It gets 4/5 because it's not intuitive as to how to pan and tilt digitally.

This camera is great!For the money and for it looking like it's on Logitech's lower end, i'm very impressed with this camera! I have no complaints! (Over webcam other people complain, but my internet connection is really blah). The videos I take and watch on my own computer look very niceI'd recommend it!

Length:: 1:50 MinsI thought for a webcam review and quick video would be most helpful. This video was recorded through Logitech's webcam software and the raw recorded video, which was 720p widescreen, is what I am uploading. The raw video file itself was 61mb and could easily be compressed down to a more manageable size.

The Logitech TV HD Cam for Skype is an attractive and able entrant in the relatively new field of wide screen, HD web cams that are intended to be used with a compatible net ready TV. The features are well thought out and the look is definitely high end and stylish. The Logitech brand name is well known and well regarded and makes this a contender right from the start.Your own need for the camera will probably come down to whether or not you have a Skype compatible TV (currently only newer Panasonic models are out of the box ready to be used with the camera) and whether or not you value the idea of video calling with friends while seated on your sofa, instead of from a chair, delivering a more relaxed full "you" you view to the viewer/caller. And, of course, you have to use Skype, the only video calling service supported by the camera/TV combo so far.The one use for this camera that is probably unique, so far, and definitely an advantage, is for family calling where the whole mom, dad, kids, dog, cat, uncle, neighbor ensemble can pile onto the sofa and have chat en masse with a similarly equipped family member or, for that matter, an entire other family.Parties of friends and kids net communing with each other is also an obvious use for this device. The camera is pretty much plug and play. If the big view, wide screen group chat function is appealing to you then this is probably a sure winner and good way to go. RECOMMENDED.

I almost knocked this down a star because it only works with a few TVs. I hate that if I replace my tv that I'm going to have to find a new solution. TV's die, you get bigger ones and regulate the old tv to the bedroom, etc. But it really does work well for what it does. So I decided that if it's worth the money to you for the tv you're buying it for, why knock it! And really, it's a great skype cam.We do video calls with my family and we've been bringing the laptop into the living room and letting the kids talk to grandma and grandpa. That has it's issues. The youngest wants to play with the keyboard keys and try to get the webcam. It's hard to find a sweet spot where the kids can feel like they're really talking to grandma and grandpa while the grandma and grandpa can see the kids.This solves all my issues. The bigger TV screen makes it easier to talk to my parent while being further back. Being further back means the grandparents see my toddlers and all their antics.Now I found that with the webcam on the tv that the angle was wrong. (My tv is on a taller stand). It might have been fine for couch caming, but for the carpet kids I put the camera on a lower shelf. There also seems to be more motion blur than with my computer logitech c510. I don't think it would be noticeable in a low motion couch chat--but as I said: toddlers!Overall I'm very happy with the way the webcam works. It makes my webcam experience better.

Thanks to the shipper item received quickly and in good shape. I knew it was not brand new but it looked fine and connected quickly. Skype recognized it and I was video calling almost immediately. Give my sister my lousy Microsoft camera. This camera fits nicely on top of my 27 inch monitor. Microphone is good. Although these are discontinued it's a fine camera for $19!
