What Logitech calls a clip, simply is not a clip.There is no spring loaded hinge.The camera hangs/balances fairly whimsically on top of the edge of the laptop screen.So makes for fairly jittery view for those I chat with...The webcam covers part of the screen ...Why do I need to install literally hundreds of megabytes of software for a webcam???

While the Panasonic Blue-Ray Players (BDT-210 and BDT-310) I have are technically not on the compatibility list, I still hoped there would be enough similarity with Panasonic TVs having the same Skype feature that it would work. It does not. The blue lights come on, but that's it - no recognition on either player, with up to date firmware.The camera itself is very well built, although much larger than my Logitech 910 HD 1080 that I use on my computer, and provides only 720 resolution. The design is the same as the 910, so it's a very nice unit.Unfortunately, it's just a well-built, elegant paper weight for us Panasonic Blue-Ray Skype wanna-be's. Shame, really.

well let me start off by saying this is a wonderfull webcam in the day time and in alot of light but if you have low light its going to look dark. but overall great pics 10 seconds selftimer for pics and modes are great. reason for 3 starts is because i want it to work at night and the camera is not too good at night but overall its a wonderfull buy and will try to get a better bulp and see if it makes a diference but happy i did purchase pics in daytime is outstanding and camera in daytime is wonderfull motion is great and has tons of settings so am happy overall

I needed a web cam for my mom to use Skype. Win 7 recognized it, loaded the drivers and away we went. Picture quality is about what you would expect for the price. I put it on my Mac and found that I had to go to the Logitech website to download the drivers. Not a big deal.

I received the Logitech Webcam C250 and was very disappointed. The webcam arrived in a small plastic bag with no padding, it is scratched and looks used. The item described on amazon was new, packaged in a box and was supposed to come with a Vid software CD, an instruction manual and a two year limited warranty. I received none of that...no CD software, no instructions, no warranty, not even a packing slip. I simply got a scratched up webcam in a flimsy plastic bag. I am not happy with this transaction at all. I have filed a complaint with amazon and I will not be making any future purchases with Ace Photo Digital.

This was a good purchase. Came quickly and as advertised. I installed the software that came with it on one computer but didn't find much use for the additional software so I just plugged the webcam into my laptop and it worked without installing anything. (XP OS).I don't give 5 stars to hardly anything so this gets only 4.

This did work plug-and play right out of the box. Although, the thing forced an install of the Logitech software (not just drivers but that typical crapware every device installs).There is software to make computer to computer calls - but if you have Skype or use Google Hangout you don't need it. I think the other person has to have the same software,The picture quality is good, just good. Sure it's 720p, and it has some optimization features, but I don't notice much of an improvement over my buit-in webcam.My least favorite feature is the stand/laptop attachment. As a stand it works fine, but it is very loose when you want to stick it on your laptop. It will fall right off if jostled.

I really like this camera!! It tracks fairly well, not a whole lot of lag. Picture and audio all really clear. Comes with everything to get started. I used this for the first time right out of the package to Skype with my sister in the bahamas, works like a charm!! Great product for the price!!

Compared to most of my friend's laptop cameras, even my buddy with his new Macbook, the C270 is by far clearer.Setup was quick, I video chat often with skype and have no issues.For a winter party, we set this up on our widescreen TV with Youcam and an interactive snowflake backdrop. Guests would walk by and see themselves on TV, and would invariably stop and play with the falling snowflakes. It was a nice little addition.

I had gone through months of searching the web for a webcam that would transmit excellent video and not cost an arm and a leg. This is it! The camera is well made and easy to setup. I like the fact that it can sit securely on the top of my monitor without falling off. So many of the cheaper units aren't designed for anything other than sitting on a table - making the video feed look like you are staring off into space and not at person you are talking to. This one's multi-position stand allows you to look staright at the camera. Video and audio quality is excellent and setup is a breeze.

I've had this cam about a year now. I'm no techy but it works fine for me with all my video chats in yahoo messenger and skype. Picture quality is great. I don't know why or if it's normal, but when the cam is on my laptop gets extremely hot. When I bought this cam it was on sale, I paid about 15 bucks for it, which was great value for me because I got it in a nice solid durable travel case with earphone. Although the cam has built in speakers I always prefer to use the earphone for privacy. The clip at the back works really well securing it to my Hp laptop without shifting. So far I have no regrets about this cam.

Cam works great and the picture is amazingly clear. The person I bought it from on Amazon sent it thrown in a box, with no instructions, no packaging and no drivers. I plugged it in and down loaded the drivers online, and it worked fine. I contacted the seller to complain about the poor shipping and packaging and he refunded my money and told me to keep the cam.

Truly plug in and play to the highest quality image on your TV. A wonderful gift for family members too far away to see often. Now the kids can visit anytime they want, for free.One person could be on their computer and the other could be on a compatible TV and what a welcome addition this is. So much easier than a normal web cam.Of course, you can use this on your computer as well. If you are wanting the best quality picture, look no further. Simple to use, and works as a normal cam with fast bright video resolution. So don't be turned off if you don't have the right TV etc, or Skype for that matter. It is so much more than that as just a web cam.

I got this webcam to Skype with my brother. It works well. It was very easy to install. Just pop in the CD and follow the instructions. It worked well for Skyping. The picture quality was very nice. Small and Compact. Plugs into the USB port.

Works great for video emails and teleconferencing. I would have rated it a 5 star if not for the small clip attachment that does not stay in place. The stand that is provided is your best option! PS check for newest software yourself and don't count on product to do it for you.

Bought this camera for Panasonic P42VT30E. Worked out like a charm. Connected it to TV set, opened up skype, and the camera got recognized at once. No problem no hassle. I definately recommend it.

Finally, I have a webcam. No idea why I didn't purchase than one sooner (other than having to see myself onscreen while Skyping *g*) The Logitech Webcam C200 is very easy to install and use. It's a nifty computer toy.

Title says it all. Very happy to report that is works on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 on my out of the box configuration. Certainly it should also work for desktop distributions like Fedora. I used application "cheese" (separate download from RHN repo) to test.

This is by far one of the worst webcam , I came across. The picture quality is terrible. It's blurry and the person your chatting with can barely see you.. The audi is good I guess , not the best. I wish I could rate this a 0 star , thats how bad the webcam was, but then again , you can't expect HD quality from a cheap webcam.

If you are planning on getting this webcam because you have a compatible TV then look at one of the other reviews. It does seem to perform well with specific models. When hooked up to a computer it also performs decently with Skype. For non-Skype applications, the webcam did not perform as well. The main issue was excessive artifacting combined with the fact that the wide angle of the lens means that a TV mounted camera will end up with the subjects taking up only a small portion of the image. Artifacting is exponentially worse when the person you're talking to is taking up a fraction of the pixels they normally would because of the lens design.Overall, the high cost of the camera doesn't justify the niche performance unless you happen to have one of the compatible TVs.

Caution: This unit is intended to work with a specific set of TV models make sure that you TV is one of them !!I have been using skype for a number of years now right from the the ages of using a webcam on a PC all the way to using it on a iPhone for video calling.While nothing compares to the convenience of using an iPhone for video chat for one to one. But if you want to do it as a family - to have a video call with grandparents - nothing like viewing it on a TV. It is as good as being there.For this unit - all you need is a skype ID and connect this device to your TV. Skype requires a paid account for 3 way video conferencing, but 2 way one to one video calls are free. The other side of the party can be on any skype account - TV/PC/IPhone/Android ..

This is a good little camera, super clear picture. The only reason it got 4 stars is because it sits on a laptop kind of funny and you have to adjust it just right. Seems like it would better fit a flatscreen desktop.

This is a really high quality TV cam, it is far better in picture clarity than any cams that we have that came with our computers including my son's new 27" iMac! The only problem we've had is that with the dual microphones (one that picks up noise close the other for longer distances) it will pick up background noises, but if you are using it on a TV sitting back a ways, like on a couch, it should not have that problem. My computer is in our small library/study where we have 3 computer stations in a 12'X14' room, everyone with headsets working/talking online on various projects. It also comes with a usb extender which is convenient to have with the set up should you need it. Extremely easy to set up just open it up & clip it on & you are good to go! We like it a LOT!

I hooked this up to a computer that is tied into my 42 inch television, and the clarity on it is amazing. The set up under Windows 7 64bit environment was easy and painless. Overall a quality product, especially compared to my previous generation Creative labs cam. Would recommend.

The Logitech C600 is a great webcam for the casual user who wants a good image to transmit to other people but doesn't feel the need to get a more professional model.The recorder comes with software to control it and with Logitech's VID software that allows you to see and talk to other people with webcams. The camera software allows you to control focus, size and color settings, permits panning and up and down movements from the mouse pad and even allows you to film a video that you can attach to e-mail or post on You Tube.I compared this webcam to Logitech's Pro 9000 and used it on a variety of computers including a high powered machine, a six year old .850 gigahertz machine and a laptop. Unlike the Pro 9000, the C600 lacks auto focus and Carl Zeiss optics, but I found that this was only distracting to a receiver if he or she were really concentrating on the image quality. If you expect to show a client some object that you are offering, this may be a disadvantage, but for the grandparents to see the kids, it was just fine.On the high powered machine, the image seemed almost continuous, without many jerky movements. As I moved down in processor power, the image became jerkier, as the software adjusted for the weaker CPU. Logitech recommends a processor of at least one gigahertz, but says two gigs are even better.One nice feature of the C600 that the Pro 9000 lacks is a head that can be rotated both sideways and up and down. The clip for holding the webcam on the monitor also seemed to get a better grip than the Pro 9000. However neither of these capabilities overcame the fact that the webcam is always on the edge of the monitor so that you are either looking up into someone's chin, or in my case, down onto my bald head. (Luckily the software can adjust for the shine.)Although the camera can be set to take a 2 megapixel image, it seemed to the persons with whom I was communicating that the ability to use the increased resolution depended on the resolution of the receiver's monitor. However, I didn't scientifically test this.The VID software replaces software like Skype but you have to send a message to the other party telling them to download VID in order to communicate with you. The message to the other party seemed to take almost 24 hours to deliver using the VID software as an e-mail client. Because of the large number of Skype subscribers and my existing contact list, I continued to use Skype after a brief trial of VID.When I first started using a webcam, it was really exciting, especially when I called my kids. After the novelty wore off, however, we fell back to using cell phones to talk. This was mainly because both parties have to have their computers on to use webcams, while most folks don't turn off their phones unless they really want privacy. However, I still get a kick out of seeing the grand kids who are momentarily excited when my face pops up instead of a computer game. For me that's enough of a reason for owning a webcam. The C600 is an excellent tool for those occasions when you want to see the face of the person you are talking to and want them to see you.

I had the opportunity to review this item through the Amazon Vine program. I figured someone I knew would have a TV that it would work on. Imagine my surprise that currently this rather expensive item only works on about 12 different Panasonic TVs, not just Skype enabled TVs, and I am certainly not going to go buy a TV to test it on nor do I have any friends with that type of TV. Seems a shame that this item couldn't have been made to work on ANY brand TV. So therefore no comment on the actual use, but a strong caution if you don't have a particular Panasonic HDTV don't buy this.I had hoped that with a son getting married soon that grandbabies would eventually be on the way and I would be able to see them through this camera. Nope.

I don't have an HDTV so I set this up on my desktop computer. Setup was very easy, just plug it in, and skype recognized it almost immediately. No file downloads, no tinkering with the computer, zip. The video quality is better than my built in laptop camera by a considerable margin. Voice quality seems fine too.The only thing I don't like is that it won't stick to the top of the monitor. It has a fold out handle which will allow it to rest there, but it will fall off if I bump into it. Maybe this is a job for duct tape.

I wanted to do Skype on my main computer with family rather than my little netbook, so needed a webcam. I chose this based on good history with Logitech. It works very well with my Ubuntu Linux 10.04 workstation, was recognized out of the box without any need to install drivers. Also works, even better, in Google+ Hangouts.

Seems like a high quality product, nice sturdy plastic. However, I can't vouch for it's use as a camera because it did *NOT* work with my Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Integrated-Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray DVD Player. As of 12/1/2011, the current firmware on my DMP-BDT210 does not recognize this camera.

Been using these for a few weeks now and the work great! Easy set up, especially on a Mac. The sound is more than acceptable.Image quality is hit and miss.... But only in Skype ... And that is skypes problem... Not the cameras. The rest of the time you get very nice 720p video.I never use the bundled chat software on these things so can't really comment on that.

I have used other Logitech webcams which has the exact same design as this one. They are relatively inexpensive as far as webcams go and has great functionality. Logitech steps up their webcam game some more with the release of this webcam which has light correction, noise cancelers and HD recording and HD photo capabilities. What's not to like with this price tag?

I just got a 55VT30 and BDT310 set it all up and then plugged the Logitech TV CAM and it was easy to setup and configure in about 3 minutes in I was Skyping with friends and family. Easy setup, works as advertised! It is great for the price.
