I was looking forward to utilizing the INTERNET capabilities of my new Sony BDP-N460 but had to wait until my birthday to give the wireless bridge a try. Waste of time and money. The setup disk didn't provide the correct settings bu the Sony setup through the Blueray player was a snap. But, the signal strength was so poor that it wouldn't connect. Using my wife's laptop the same distance from the router worked fine. Not acceptable performance. It's going back to the store tomorrow.

I was initially turned off by this when I stuck the CD into my MacBook Pro and found that it loaded up a blank folder. I took a look at the box and realized that only Windows operating systems were listed in the requirements. Luckily I thought to check out the Linksys website which happened to have a 'Mac Setup Wizard' which I downloaded here: [...]After downloading and running the Mac Setup Wizard, I was quickly connected to my wireless router thanks to Linksys' Wi-Fi Protected Setup. I put it in the living room and connected my PS3 to it (since their wireless setup is terrible and results in slow downloads) and everything is working perfectly.

Good product esp after got it working. Setup instructions could be improved. And the CD should match the instruction booklet but does not. Took some time working with the cable company & tv mfg until got this to work.

i use this mainly for video transfer and it works great w/ netflix.good clarity transfer and haven't seen any flickering due to the devise.if you don't have built in wifi this item works and setup is ez.

I bought this based on the great reviews and disregarded any reviews I'd read complaining about the connectivity issue, as I'm pretty tech savy.Now, having spend the last two days trying to get it to work, I should have heeded the warning signs.I've been on the Linksys site trying to troubleshoot the connection, and have tried all the suggestions from google searches with absolutely no success.The product is supposed to be plug and play, well, it is absolutely not! Even the CD with the PC drivers doesn't work on my PC, however I'm trying to network this with my Mac, first and foremost.My Airport Express 802.11n router is able to see the bridge, and I can assign an IP address, but no matter what I do, or how many times I reset it, the bridge will not connect my canon printer.I waited for a half hour to talk to a rep via IM on the Linksys site, but while they responded to my questions, the only response that came through was the operators name and identifying employee number, so no matter what she typed back, I couldn't read it. Useless.I'll be ebaying it tomorrow and buying a 75 foot ethernet cable instead. I wish I could charge Linksys for my wasted two days.

Everything worked out perfectly. Set up was a snap, and when I moved the adapter to my Direct TV DVR it was true plug and play. Great product!

Bought this bridge for use with Linksys N Wireless Router. Goal was to use both to enable my internet TV access. Router set up fine on Apple iMac, but the bridge CD does not include set up software for Apple iMac, only a PC. Called customer support, who after 25 minutes offered to remote into my computer for $9.95 extra to set up the bridge manually. Desperate, I paid. Then the remote in would not work. Finally gave up and will be returning both the router and bridge. What a waste of time. The worst part, this is what it says on the box of the bridge: "Works with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux . . ."

This device saved a lot of grief & stringing ethernet cable all around the house. We use it with both a Sony BDV-E300 Home Theater & a Sony KDL40W5100 TV. There were a couple of glitches getting the Sony hardware to work with it, however the jury is still out on whether that was a Sony or Cisco issue. Bottom line... it's all right now.

I wanted to be able to download Netflix movies from my new TiVo. I ended up with this unit after trying to go with another (D-Link) similar product. I should have listened to the little voice and gone with this one in the first place. I have a Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router and have always had good luck with Linksys. However, for the money I wanted more than one port, so I went with the D-Link that had four ports. I spent a half a day on the phone with D-Link Support and Linksys Support each telling me that the problem with configuration was with the other. I gave up and sent back the D-Link.When I got the Linksys unit I popped the CD in my computer and in less than 10 minutes I was watching a movie from the internet through my TiVo. I never had to even call support. Great product, easy installation, but then again, it is with a Linksys Router. I think that is the key.

My Cisco Linksys WET610N wireless bridge arrived today, with Amazon's usual prompt shipping. The setup was fast and accurate on my computer, and the transfer to the Ethernet device (an LG Blu-ray player up in the den) went also quickly. I can now use the NetFlix and YouTube features on the player, plus I am able to do firmware upgrades. In the past I've had problems with the longevity of Linksys devices, so we will see how this product holds up. I switched to a Belkin wireless router/hub a while back, with good results. I did have to move the WET610N to a higher location in he den to get a decent signal, but all is well, now.So far it's a good product......

Easy to set up, a small package. Works like a charm, what more can you ask for? Well, a lower price maybe.... I bought this product to connect a Sony TV to a linksys wireless router. 3 minutes out of the box and I'm completely set up.UPDATE. I've lost the settings on this thing multiple times. The power has to go off for some time. It's a pain to set back up. I had to get on the phone with customer service the first time it happened--they were surprisingly on the ball. I suspect the cable router is at fault because each time the router has changed some of its previous settings with the return of the power. I just wished they cooperated a little better.

Works well, easy to set up. When doing more than one, separate passwords must be used for each. The best praise I have is that they work, and do, exactly what I wanted and needed in terms of performance and reliability of connection.

This item works perfectly for linking my Direct TV DVR to my wireless network. It was easy to install, easily located and connected to my network and does exactly as claimed. If you have a component with only an ethernet connection this bridge is what you need to connect to your wireless network, and it's priced right - Outstanding Value!

I bought this based on having tried out my neighbor's WET54g and liking it. Went with the 610n because of its support for dual band. Initially I regretted it when I had trouble with the setup, but once I got over it I am very happy with the product.

So the install disk is Windows only. I tried their web directions and could not get a connection to it. I called them and they wanted to *charge* me saying they do not support items bought over the internet! This will be the last linksys device I *ever* buy.I finally got the devices web address by going to my routers built-in help (a DLink) and looking at what was connected. I was also able to initiate an "auto config" from the DLink web-based software. Now that it is set up it does seem to work but one should not have to go through this hassle for a *new* purchase no matter where it came from.

I bought this instead of the Netgear bridge kit because it was cheaper, and there were good reviews on other sites. I had just recently upgraded to Verizon Fios and I put the router/modem in on the lower floor and had a server, Xbox 360, Wii and a ethernet based computer on the second floor. I bought the bridge to connect it to a router (did not have a switch so I just disabled the wireless capabilities) and it worked like a charm.I was able to download a 250 MB game from Xbox Live in under 4 minutes easily. It was amazing (of course it is my internet connection that is doing that but in no way did this bridge slow that down). I was worth the money and glad I bought it.Set up was easy, if you find out the IP address you do not even need the CD but the CD would be helpful for some people. It may have glitches but I have no faced any yet and as I said it is working great.

Bought this as a bridge to a notebook in a house about 65 yards away, but it turned out that it was much better to use in combination with the Popcorn Hour A110(Network Media Tank) Popcorn Hour A-110 HD Networked Media Tank (EU)that resides in the living room about 40 yards away and one floor down. The standard USB WiFi apdapter that Popcorn Hour sells gave me only 1.6 Mb transfers to and from a D-link DIR-655 router D-Link Wireless N Gigabit Router DIR-655 - Wireless router + 4-port switch - EN, Fast EN, Gigabit EN, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n (draft), but this little genius can do more than 6Mb transfers, which is finally enough to stream 720p movies from other drives around the house and use the popcorn hour box as backup device as well.Setup was quite easy and there were no issues with encryption etc.

Installation ("Set up Wizard") wouldn't play on any of my pre-intel macs. After an hour and a half with friendly technical support she told me to return it. Never worked.

I'm using a Belkin wireless router and had difficulty with initial set-up. It took me over an hour to finally get it to work. Once you get over the initial set-up, it works fine.

My ps3 only has 802.11g, so this is helping me with some online gaming issues. I also have it hooked to my dish receiver, so I can set up recordings via my iphone. Setup was pretty easy. It hasn't given me any problems since, so I gave it 5 stars.

Took a bit to set up with my linksys wireless g but after a 20 minute call with the Cisco help desk, we got the thing to work. The good thing is that once it s set up, it needs nothing else, it just works.

I bought this to connect my new Blu Ray DVD player to the internet. Instructions were clear, and I had no trouble configuring this bridge to work with my Wireless G network. Able to stream HD video from the network. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless solution. Although I discovered this alternative after I had purchased this bridge, you might also want to consider this Powerline option: Netgear XAVB101-100NAS Xavb101-100Nas

I purchased a Linksys WET610N to allow my Xbox 360 to talk to my Watchguard Edge firewall (since the Watchguard & the Xbox wireless adapter don't work together). The unit was simple to configure, and when it works - it works really well. However the unit I purchased has a serious flaw - it heats up quickly and gets really really hot. It then forgets all of its settings, which makes it stop working. I can not get this thing to stay working for more than 24 hours at a time before it overheats and breaks down again. Trying to get help from Linksys has been frustrating; instead I would recommend buying a Linksys WET54G as it does not have the overheating issues that this unit has.

you have to be a genius to set this up. after an hour on my own. i called linksys and got someone in India who after trying 2 things suggested i pay them to log into my computer so he could set it up. Why should i pay extra money to set up a product? have any of these people seen any of Apple's products? Don't bother.

I bought the Linksys Wireless Internet Bridge to connect a Slingbox to my wireless router. (The Slingbox was designed to work with an Ethernet connection. Slinglink didn't work because my TIVO, and therefore the Slingbox, is in a different room and on a different electrical circuit than the router. Slinglink connects to the router using your home's electrical wiring.) After spending two hours on the phone with Linksys tech support (he did try patiently and hard), I gave up when the Linksys technician wanted to transfer me to another tech because he thought that the problem was with my AT&T 2Wire router's settings. I was later able to connect a HAVA wirelessly to my router. See my review of the HAVA Titanium HD TV HiFi device.

Didn't work with Directv MRV (multi-room viewing). I also have a WGA600N and the WET is faster and has a longer range. I took 3 minutes to install and set the bridge and everything worked as it should with the exception of the multi-room viewing between 2 Directv receivers. I replaced the WET by the WGA and everything worked just fine. There is no documentation on most of the "advanced" settings and if something needs to be changed the Linksys support is the way to go. I had my original WET replaced and finally returned it to Amazon. The rate of Amazon ? 10!!! The service can't be better than this. If anyone still has some questions about buying anything online, Amazon is the answer.

I bought the WET610N for my Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-Ray Player. My options were either wired, which I didn't want to do, or buy a proprietary dongle from Samsung. I chose the option that Samsung did not mention - I bought the WET610N! The unit was easy to setup, and the instructions were clear. I've never been fond of using Linksys CD's to setup this kind of equipment, but I have to say it was painless and quick compared to some others I've seen. The value of this unit is simply that it will work with ANYTHING that wants a "wired" network connection. So, it doesn't matter if it's a video game system, a DVR type device, or as in this case a blu-ray DVD Player. For this reason, the unit is a great value and will be in use for a long time, even when the current equipment I am using it with now is long gone.

I bought this to connect my Dish DVR to my network. Cabling was not an option, so I needed wireless. Setup was simple, with one caveat: the device will not work well if it is placed too close to your access point, which may very well be the case during initial configuration. Since this is not a common use, and certainly isn't my intended use, I still give it 5 stars. Ever since I set it up, it has worked flawlessly.

The product works perfect with my linksys wrt160n router. Wish the form factor was a bit smaller, this is definitely bulkier than the router. It has a place on top of my dresser next to my TV. I use it to stream content to my xbox360 via media center. At first I was having issues getting a reliable signal for HD content but then later realized my 2.4GHz Uniden phone was interfering. So I've quickly replaced my phone with a DECT 6.0 and everything works like a charm. I taped up the blue led lights on the bridge which are a bit bright. The signal sends strong through two walls about 25ft from the router. I would have given it 5 stars but the customer service from linksys needs improvement and the bridge is too bulky.

Had trouble setting the bridge up using the included software and quick setup directions. I finally used the web interface to configure everything and that worked much better. I wish it had more connections, like Buffalo's product, and not just the single port but I hooked up a small switch and it works fine that way.

This product needs a lot of technical expertise to install and run. I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable but had so much difficulty that I had to call tech-support, and ended up talking to a lady in India. She spoke so fast that I had to ask her to repeat herself many times. After an hour of this, she advised me to return the item.But, I continued to try and eventually it worked - don't ask me how!It is still temperamental. Unfortunately I am yet to find another manufacturer of Wi-Fi Bridges at a reasonable price.

I couldn't even get to step 2 of the setup because the CD setup program couldn't recognize my network. Every FAQ addresses questions that come up AFTER this point...they all assume the install program works.

After I followed the set up step by step, the bridge working very well on the remote device. However, all other devices that I have connected to the router did not function. After hours of consulting with the on-line helps, I found out that the router passcode was changed on its own without warning. What's a pain.

I bought this to connect my windows vista desktop to my "N" network. First, I am only 45 feet from the router, and I only get 25% - 30% signal strength (my laptop gets a 90% "N" signal strength). Drops the signal constantly. I had to switch to my "G" network to get decent signal strength (80%). However, I periodically lose connection and have to unplug the WET610N and replug to get the connection back. I would not recommend to anyone.

I use Linksys netowrking products throughout my home. I am currently running a G wireless router between the Internet and this network device. I read others Internet reviews encouraging users to download and update the software. I did that and it has operated correctly and performed well. Linksys should include a before you start do this sheet in the box to make sure everybody does the update. Hopefully, the dual-band N capability will give the device a litte longevity as progress marches on.
