I have a slightly older model Linksys 'N' gigabit router. I also had an older model wireless 'N' bridge that was hooked up to my PS3 but I had to move that to my so called wireless printer (that's different story). So I needed a new bridge for the PS3. Having really like the older model I opted for the Linksys version again. I went through the packages *automated* setup but the unit never could find my network, well it found it, but couldn't connect. I finally opted to chuck the auto setup and went for the manual web browser setup logging in to the unit directly. I finally was able to figure out the problem and get it working right, but it took me over 5 HOURS of time mucking around with it. The older unit was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Grrrrrr~ Well, now it works fine and I can stream Netflix to the PS3 again. However, c'mon, seems ridiculous to me that this unit needs to cost over 80 dollars. I guess we have to pay a premium to have wireless N. The unit works, but I can't imagine an average user would ever be able to get it to set up properly. If you have a similar problem, try the Linksys online help forum. There are some users that have posted really useful information there to get you up and running.

I spent days and hours trying to get this sorry design to work on my home WinXP network. I have given up after many searchs on internet for help and have tried many proposed solutions with some success but then failure. I am going to give the router to a fisherman friend for a boat anchor since I have had it too long to return it and am tired of looking at it. I now use a Netgear router with no problem.

Set up two computers, Playstation 3, and internet ready tv. I'm getting 45 mps on my wireless computer and 144 mps on the wired. The clincher was the VUDU movie that played in 1080p HD flawlessly. There is absolutely no lag anywhere in my house which is 3000 sq. ft. This router did not disappoint.

Super easy setup. Just followed the wizard and had no problems. The device is awful though. The connection is painfully slow. It is constantly loading every few minutes. My router is only 12 feet from the bridge. I am using Cisco E2000 Advanced Dual-Band Wireless-N Router. It is so painful to use this setup that I will likely return it and try something else. Is there something else? Is there another way to connect to get a faster connection speed?

There's no excuse for this not device not auotmatically and correctly configuring with the FIOS router. Linksys products used to be good, worse since Cisco bought the company.Now I will have to waste hours getting this configured.Wich I had bought from another company.

i have to be brief ..this router is one of the best LINKSYS ever ..set up was 7 minutes and the signal dramatically or significantly changed!!!!i will highly recommend this router..my wrt54gs just slow down and a lot of disconnection...you will not regret if you get this router..move on and get this!!!!

I replaced a wired Linksys router which was working perfectly with 4 computers attached to the router. I added a wireless computer and a wireless BluRay player so I wanted and needed a wireless router. After researching and past performance with Cisco/Linksys I decided on the E3000 Linksys router. Setup was easier than the instructions and virtually automatic. About all I had to do we reconnect my wired computers and assign a router and security password for the network. Everything was up and working within 15 minutes out of the box.Speeds are great and streaming thru the Bluray player with Netflix, Youtube, etc. is really great. I also have a lot of stuff on my network which is easily shared thru the Bluray player with it's Network feature. You can share photos, movies, etc. There's an USB slot on the router which you can also use to share info on your network.All in all a great product with no loss of speed for downloading or streaming. Range is also quite good. I would recommend this very impressive product.

Fairly easy to set up. Took only about five minutes. Range is great. We have a large two-story home, and we set up the Linksys in the upstairs office and I use it in the downstairs family room. No problems with reception.

I've had a ton of trouble with other routers but not this one. This router you plug it in, do a few simple set up's and your up an running. The new setup vs the old ones is much better and easier to understand for us novice's. I do have some issues with it occasionally dropping my Sony blue ray connection for streaming Netflix but other than that it's great.

Simple and quick to setup. Connection speed is awesome. The only drawback is the low profile design which causes the unit to heat up. I just followed the advice in an earlier review and turned it upside down! doesn't look as sleek now but works for my purpose!

We had an old Belkin router for a long time, but finally the wireless function on it stopped working. This one has great range. Even when transmitting through 3 walls and the ceiling, it still keeps a strong signal. About 3 weeks ago the wireless stopped working, I couldn't figure out what it was, but I opened the Cisco-connect program and it began to update, so make sure you are always updating the software. Also, there is a "guest network" option, it is another network in addition to your password protected network. If you don't want random people taking up your bandwidth, I would turn off the "guest network". But mind you, the bandwidth is incredible, I can stream video from 3 computers at once and it all still goes quite smoothly and quickly. Great buy!!!

Buy this router and get the tomato USB firmware. 2 separate radio set ups . All the features of tomato and some. The range is not as good as some other devices. But you can use this to produce a mesh network. If I do this with the pro gear I work with... We are talking 2800 dollars. I can come close with 3 of these units with a cost of $450. Ditch the stock firmware asap. Go to tomatousb.org and get the firmware for this device. Features and power of this device make it a steal.

I bought this wireless bridge to connect to my satellite tv DVR to view my on demand content and also to connect to my PS3. My wireless router was wired to the internet on another floor of my house and I wasn't about to run a hundred feet of cable through numerous drilled holes to get my tv connected. Before buying this adapter I actually read a lot of negative reviews and did my own research on the technology this item incorporates applying to streaming video/ gaming. Almost all of the negative reviews I had read had to do with the adapter being hard to set up or unreliable. I have owned the adapter for two weeks and have only had to reset once ( unplug power for 30 seconds ). The installation and set up took ten minutes and was very straight forward. The performance of the adapter in the applications it was intended has exceeded my expectations. The common issue that the critical reviewers seemed to have was more a matter of not understanding the fundamentals of the technology that they purchased or the computers they used to set it up. You don't need a computer science degree to set this up, but a basic understanding of your technology is helpfull. If you want to save money by doing something yourself. DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. Your television provider would be more than happy to send a technician to your house to set this up for you as would many electronics stores ( BestBuy, Staples, etc. ) for a fee. That being said, I would purchase this product again and thought it was an excellent value.

The Linksys adapter is advertised as being able to connect ANY Ethernet capable device to a wireless network. This claim is false. I purchased the adapter to connect my Canon Ethernet-capable printer to my home wireless network. I used the setup disk that quickly configured the adapter, but when I connected it to my printer, there was no communication between the units and my printer was not linked to my home network. I therefore called Cisco-Linksys customer support. The support technician tried a wide variety of approaches to get the adapter to communicate with the printer, but after THREE HOURS on the phone, she finally gave up and told me that I should contact Canon support. The Canon support technician took me through the same routines as the Linksys techie, without success. No matter what we tried, the adapter would not communicate with the printer. By this time, pretty much the entire day was gone, and I was no closer to having wireless network printing than I had been before I purchased the adapter.I suppose there's an object lesson somewhere in this experience--perhaps that we shouldn't trust the claims of manufacturers, even those with the status of Cisco-Linksys and Canon. I returned the adapter to Amazon and received a refund.

I had a little trouble installing the software for the bridge and decided to call the Linksys customer service line when my lap-top wouldn't "recognize" the bridge. After being on hold for 20-30 minutes, I got a horrible phone connection with the "customer service department," which resulted in me having to repeat the 10+ digit serial number 4 times before the agent got it right. They wouldn't call me back to get a better phone connection, it wasn't their "policy." She proceeded to ask me what my modem settings were. When I asked her how I check the modem settings, she asked who manufactured the modem. Since it wasn't a Linksys modem, she said she couldn't help me any further because it wasn't their "policy." I asked what the settings needed to be to help my problem and she wouldn't answer my question. I asked if there was anything else we could check that might be the problem, I even gave her the error code (it was 107) that I was getting in the setup instructions. She explained I needed to call the Mfg. of the modem to ask them that question.Throughout this entire process, the customer service agent spoke down to me, interrupted me constantly, was generally rude and wasn't interested in helping me fix this problem. She seemed more interested in punting me to another Customer Service black hole.In hindsight, it was a simple problem, I needed to connect my lap-top to the modem via a Ethernet cable (instead of my Wi-Fi) so my lap-top would "recognize" the bridge, the problem wasn't the modem settings and this step was not addressed in the set-up instructions. I ended up figuring this out on my own. The Linksys/Cisco customer service folks should've at least tried to help me or at least help me trouble shoot. They didn't, the whole process was terrible!!The product itself seems to work fine.

After I got this router it made me think that I must have been living in the stone ages up until now. My old router was too complicated to use secured so I just left it open and as we all know that is less than smart. The ease of setting this up and making my network secure was just plain simple. Now my Directv has more options, now my cell phone connects to the network at amazing speed, my wireless music bridge works 10 times better. This router has really improved my home network in so many ways. A truly great buy!

This is a terrific device. My blu-ray player has an ethernet jack, but my network router is very far away from the player. So for the past year, I was not able to update the player's firmware or take advantage of some of the advanced features available through the internet. Then this wireless bridge, WET610N, was recommended to me by a local audio/video expert, so I bought one. Installation and setup were very simple when I followed the step-by-step directions on the enclosed CD-ROM. I had it up and working within 15 minutes. Within a second 15 minutes I had my blu-ray player firmware updated finally. I highly recommend this wireless bridge!

This was a little difficult to set up because I am not at all good trying to understand certain computer things, but I am glad my son did. He had to call the company, and after that, he was able to get my blue ray player connected. I have looked at you-tube a couple of times. It is really interesting. Glad my son could understand everything after the call, and it worked perfectly with my LG TV and LG Blueray player.

I purchased this unit because my Verizon FIOS wifi router is sitting in one room of the house (with Brother laser printer hooked up to it) while my main PC is located on the other end of the house, wired with Gigabit ethernet to a NAS, another printer and a couple of laptops. I needed a way to connect my mini gigabit network to the Verizon router via WiFi.Setup was not very straight forward - I followed all the instruction carefully, however, it took a while for the unit to discover available networks (I kept refreshing but it wasn't seeing them, not sure what fixed that) and then when I had it connected to my network, it wasn't getting IP address assigned for a while. Again, after a lot of fiddling around somehow it started working.... still don't know how.Once it started working, everything seemed to be ok, until I tried printing (on my Brother laser connected to the router directly) - it simply wasn't working, no matter what I tried. I googled around and turns out it's a known issue with this unit - no fix from the Linksys yet. I ordered D-link DAP1522 instead, plugged it in and everything worked right away, including printing. No messing around, just like that. This Liksys device is going back.

With increasing demand on my wireless router, it was time to upgrade. I spent 2 weeks researching before I made the decision on buying this one. The range is very good, where I was getting 1 and 2 bars with my older N router, now I'm getting 3 and 4 bars. The PS3 and wireless video streaming (Netflix) devices with N are running without any lag now, even when I connect 2 laptops running on G. The key is simultaneous dual band. As far as the installation, plop the CD into your computer, plug in the power cord, and the ethernet cable from the router to the modem, and the software does the rest. The software also has easy to use maintenance screens, just in case you want to customize the settings. I have not had to call for support, but I did own an older model Linksys and the support was great and free of charge.

A total no brainer, I'm not a techy person and this was easy, instructions easy ,to set up and guests can link with no problems.I had 2 other wireless routers in the past(different brands) and they were nothin but problems.This has been awesome from day 1.

I have two gaming adapters from D-Link, but this time I have bought this LinkSys Wireless-N gaming adapter for a change and I am very happy with its performance. It comes with a nice streamlined black and metallic gray plastic cabinet with no external antenna. It comes with a installation CD but I have not used it. All I have done is to follow this simple process:1) Connect the adapter with the Ethernet port of a PC or laptop by using the LAN cable provided in the box.2) Setup the PC or Laptop network card IP address to 169.254.1.200 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.03) Open a browser and type http://169.254.1.250 to bring up LinkSys administration screen.4) Leave username field blank and type "admin" as the password to log in.5) Use the LinkSys administration screen to select your wireless gateway and setup the encryption key.6) The LinkSys will re-boot to get connected with your wireless gateway.After step 6, even if you take its power off, it will retain its setting. You are now free to take this adapter and connect it with any device which needs a network connection.I use it with my Samsung Bluray disk player and it streams all internet contents, including Netflix HD streaming movies smoothly without a single hitch.The only thing I dislike is its blue flashing LED which indicates a live wireless link. the light of the LED is too bright and at night it lights up the room with irritating pulsating light. I have just slapped a piece of black tape over LED to fix this issue.Over all it is a rock steady high speed gaming adapter and it feels as reliable as a wired link. I fully recommend this to anyone.

I did a lot of homework researching wireless N routers, and decided I would go with this, and I am certainly happy that I did. It was extremely easy to set up, no problem. Everything has worked as it should, and receiving the service that I hoped I would. I most definitely would recommend this to a friend.

They make a good product but this one is hard to install. It took my a lot of time to be able to get my Adapter to recognize my internet connection. My Blu Ray had no problem recognizing it so I am not sure why this product took so long. If it was easier to install properly I would have given this a better rating. The product does deliver though. It is just hard to install.

This router was very easy to setup, configure, and setup the network security.I've seen a dramatic difference in speed with my ISP service.For those of us that are not programmers, it's nice to be able to configure a device using easy to understand windows views. Highly recommend this device!

All I can say this router is awesome and I have had no problems with it.I have had other older Linksys N routers , but They did not work as advertisedThis is truly the first (N) Duel Band that REALLY works like it says.It was a toss up between Linksys and the Netgear 3700, read hundreds of review for both andwent with this unit.I also can use the advanced features as well, not sure why folks can notfigure it out.5 stars from me,I have never had such a great running router until now, speed is incredible as well in both the5 and 2.4 GHz ranges. our laptops in the 5 Ghz runs at 300 K now instead of 56 KHappy reviewing.

I'm returning this router after giving it a try for a solid month. Ever since I installed this router, I've had a significant increase in all of my devices having trouble connecting to my home network. It mostly causes problems with my wireless printer. Almost every time I want to use my printer now, I need to reboot my router and printer.

I've gone through two of these things in less than two months. The first router worked very well for 31 days. After two days with Cisco's live chat support, it was RMA'd back to Cisco. Three weeks later I received a new router that failed out of the box. The radios were intermittent at best and even when they were working, only half of my computers were able to see the network.Cisco's tech support is a joke (I had to explain to one of them what NIC meant.)As for setup, the supplied utilities are a joke. I've not been able to get the setup desk to recognize that the E300 even exists, but manual setup isn't that difficult (don't bother clicking help, though).I own four WRT54GL's (most of which I repurposed) that work flawlessly.Right now, I would say that the worst thing ever to happen to Linksys was Cisco.

I bought this router when another Cisco "hotspot" router I had purchased wasn't as easy setting up as claimed. I took that one back and decided that if I was going to go to the trouble setting up a wireless router that might be more involved I would get one that had some horsepower. For me, the setup went very smoothly and I was up and running within 30 minutes. I have good coverage with a moderately sized home and the DL times are fine. Granted, I do not stream movies, YET, so I can't comment on that capability. Our home is heavy into the web surfing and what I want is something that has a reliable and consistent signal throughout my home and the areas close outside. So far, that is what I have gotten and I'm satisfied. I do like that it has a separate area that can be accessed by quests without connecting to the "main line". I also kept the wireless network name preassigned by Cisco; the name is just not a big deal to me and not worth the bother to change.Yes, it does tend to run a bit warm, and followed the advise of previous reviewers by placing little nobs on the bottom so that the air can circulate underneath. So far, that has worked fine. I would recommend this router, even if your not a techie (like me).

Set up was easy and I do have the option of making changes with the advanced settings now that it has been set up. I had an extended Range G from Linksys/Cisco that was great but this is even better. With the USB I am able to back up both my desktop and my laptop so no worries there any more.

I purchased this router to replace my old G-Router (Lynk-Sys) which was causing problems uploading movies from Netflix on my Wii as well as to improve the speed and range of the wireless internet access in our three floor home. This router hit the mark! I set it up in our basement in about 15 minutes total (including software download time) and we have coverage to the entire house. Best of all...no more screaming kids (and wife) when the movie freezes 10 minutes into the showing! I am very happy with the purchase.

Keep in mind I have a degree and work in IT. I originally purchased this to connect a Blue Ray player to my network. The setup software would not complete so I called linksys with the error code and it sounded like the tech support person was from India. Nothing personal but I hate speaking to foreigners while trouble shooting a issue. Dealing with a language barrier just adds to the trouble. The customer support agent wanted to remote onto my computer to look at the issue so I agreed. She then freaked out that it was not a Windows based computer, I think her training or scripted support ended there. I told her I had a Windows 7 machine that I run my vpn from and could remote onto it as it was on the network and she could do what she needed to do from that PC. She said no I had to be physically at the computer. I then explained that the PC did not have a monitor, mouse, or keyboard. At that point she was so frustrated with the situation that she hung up on me. I was able to manually set it up and it turns out my WRT54G was running WPA and the bridge could only connect to my network after changing to WPA2 which is a major pain as my wife's tablet pc running XP is locked down by her IT department and doesn't have the service pack or patch to allow her to connect to a WPA2 network. And getting them to update anything is a whole different issue. The bridge is contently loosing connection to the network and sometimes after resetting it still does not connect. I know wireless is not the best solution, but in a rented townhouse I don't have the of running a bunch of cat6 drops all over the place to get a wired network going. I honestly could not recommend this product to anyone as it is not very reliable.

I bought an E3000 to replace a WRVS4400n. The older unit was not working that well with multimedia streaming, etc. and I think Cisco/Linksys has stopped updating the firmware. Anyway, the E3000 has been very solid since I installed it. I have not had to touch it really. It just works and is designed to handle today's entertainment streaming needs. I just wish Cisco/Linksys would come out with a SINGLE, consistent menu system for all its routers and disable the items/pages that don't apply to a particular model with a note such as "N/A for this model". I don't know why they have to have a hundred different menu trees for a hundred different models. Crazy. I would have given the E3000 5 stars across the board, but I think some of the web access filter pages and port forwarding pages don't offer enough configuration lines to work with. All in all though, a VERY GOOD purchase thus far...

I had gotten this to replace my old busted BERSF41 router. This was like going from a Pinto to a Porsche. I got it on sale Black Friday for 150-ish. Was well worth it the money then and now! No single connection problems! I can run 1 computer, blue ray, xbox 360, and DSi all on the same network with no interruptions or hang ups! I highly recommend getting this for all your wireless networking needs!

Great for your wireless audio and video gear, idiot proof setup wizard....If you are tech challenged then this will work and set up easily for you.......BTW, it comes with a 4' RJ45 Cat 5 cable. I could not find that out prior to purchasing so I ordered a Cat 5 cable in the event it did not come with one........

After setting up with PC, put it on the device... This bridge sometimes working sometimes very slow, sometimes not working at all. You need regularly "reboot" by disconnect and reconnect the power over and over. Plz excuse of my language, I think this product is a piece of junk. Do not waste your money on this product.

I have a BluRay player and a DirecTV HD-DVR that offer additional services if connected to the internet. Running ethernet cable lines is a pain in the ass - it's messy, time consuming and expensive and if you ever want to move your equipment then you have to modifiy your cable run. Soulution - The WET610N Wireless bridge.I actually timed the installation to see just how long it would take from start to finish.Clock started: I moved my laptop and its AC adapter to the room in my house where the Linksys Wireless Router is located. That took 1 1/2 minutes. I then opened the box and unfolded and read instructions. It took a total of 6 1/2 minutes to format and configure the WET610N Bridge. The installation CD does not install any programs on your computer so don't worry. It simply configures the unit. Eight minutes after starting the clock, my new WET610N was ready to be hooked up to my HD-DVR and BluRay Player.It took me 5 minutes to move my furniture away from the wall, plug in the unit, move the dresser back and run the Network Setup option from the HD-DVR. That was it. The screen said congratulations your connected to DirecTV via the internet (or something similar.)In all it took the same if not more time moving my furniture etc, than it did to configure the Network BridgeIf your DVR has 2 ethernet ports, plug this unit into the top port. The lower one is a pass through like having 2 connections on the back of an answering machine. Plug the lower port into any other device like a BluRay Player or game console and now both are connected to the internet.Lastly, if you ever want to connect another device in another room to the internet you can either just remove the unit you currently own and move it from one device to another or if you prefer you can purchase and configure another WET610N Bridge and hook it up the same way as detailed above.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS ROUTER!!!The dual band is nice, but this router actually has slightly lower signal strength than the old 54G. And you can not access all of the router settings from the web setup page! You can not reset the Guest account settings on the web setup page! I called CISCO on this and had two people hang up on me when I told them I was dissatisfied with the router because you could not access all of the router setting on the web settings page. Finally the third person admitted that it was a fault and they CISCO was working on a fix! SAME ON CISCO FOR RELEASING A PRODUCT WITH KNOW WEAKNESSES!!!! I bought this router because of the reputation and quality we have come to expect for Linksys and CISCO, but I WAS WRONG, CISCO did NOT do a good JOB recently!YOU ARE BETTER OFF BUYING ANOTHER LESS EXPENSIVE ROUTER WITH DD-WRT. CISCO IS GOING DOWN HILL!!!!!!!

This wireless-to-ethernet adapter from Linksys is just fine, now that I've succeeded in setting it up. However, out of the box, the installation software could not locate the device, even though I had done nothing to it beforehand. A call to tech support was necessary, and I have to say Cisco's telephone support was prompt, competent, and thorough. It was a complex process, though -- the tech person had to access my computer remotely, taking it over temporarily while she changed settings, accessed IP addresses, etc. etc. (fun but a bit scary to watch one's computer doing all these things without one's personal input!). And it was not simple for HER, either -- it took about an hour of support to get the unit working properly with my wireless network.Presumably this is not a common problem, although my operating system is bread-and-butter XP Pro, my laptop is a basic DELL, and my wireless router and internet service is AT&T (DSL).Anyway, the good news is, it works well now and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Took me about ten minutes to set up. Great range. Fast and can easily stream online content and good security. I love the fact that, using a USB hub i can connect both my printers and my storage devices so that all my music library can reside on one hard drive, pictures and etc and that I can print to any printer from anywhere that is connected. I think it is terrific.

I pulled the plug on satellite TV and put up an antenna for the networks (working great-HD is fantastic!) and purchased a movie subscription. Using this device for video streaming which is included with the movie subscription. This device was recommended by Sony in their user guide, it's hooked up to an RJ-45 port on the TV and working great. You have to set-up the device through your computer initially, then connect it to the network. Tried to set it up on the DSL modem RJ-45 port directly which didn't work. So set-up on home network router (also Cisco) which worked fine. Moved the device to the TV and it connected to the internet immediately. The TV did an update and then showed me all of the content sources available. There is a lot to choose from on the net. I am able to watch movies etc. without a problem. It looks like Sony is now including a wireless adapter, packaged w/ their TVs. Also all of the current game boxes allow interface to the internet, so I am buying a WII machine for my other TV for the gaming and internet capability. Also planning to get faster DSL when available as the bandwidth requirements will only go up and faster will be better. Bottom line, this device works great and for me was the perfect option for the specific results I was looking for.

This is a cool-looking ethernet to wireless adapter that does everything it promises. I use it to stream Netflix and You Tube to my Blu-Ray player. The speed is good and video never stops or gets choppy like digital cable. I use it with a different brand wireless router with no problem. I got it for $84 on Amazon, and saw it for $99 in the retail stores. There seems to be very few choices for this type of adapter, and it's the second lowest priced one I could find online.I've never bought or set up one of these before, but assumed it would be similar to setting up a wireless router. Bad assumption on my part. To set up a wireless router, you typically plug your computer/laptop into the router with an ethernet cable, then go to the router's web page for setup. This adapter does not set up the same way (no web page). To set up this adapter, you plug an ethernet cable from the adapter to your wireless router (not to your computer). Then, instead of going to the adapter's web page, you must run the CD install program on your computer (which has wired or wireless access to the same router). If you plug the adapter into your computer while running the CD setup, the setup will fail. Once it's set up, you can move it anywhere and plug the ethernet cable from your Blu-Ray or gaming system to the adapter. The set up isn't hard, just not as easy as it could be, and sure beats fishing wires through the walls.
