This is my second iPad mainly because I wanted to upgrade to the Retina display and have a 4G cellular connection. (I have no complaints about either iPad - they're very useful devices and deserve 5 stars.) Because I had talked with Verizon customer service before purchase, I knew I wanted the prepaid option and ability to suspend auto-payments.The rep's advice was to open a separate email account for the iPad (I used a free gmail address). I was told there have been problems with AOL accounts in particular. I was also warned NOT to delete the account or phone number when I wanted to stop auto-pay because that would necessitate a replacement of the SIM card. He said I could uncheck the auto-pay option in the cell account settings on the iPad. With that information, I found registration was painless and fast.I used the iPad on a long west coast car trip, accessing the Internet in the car for 3-4 hours a day. As always, Verizon's coverage was good and fast. I found that 2-gigs of data were enough for web surfing, checking email and GPS work. I let the plan auto-renew so I'd have enough data for the last few days of the three-week trip.When I returned home, I wanted to suspend the auto-pay so I went searching for the 'turn-off' option on the iPad. No luck. I called Verizon and the rep quickly deleted the auto-pay feature from my account. She also told me about that option on the iPad but when she looked for it on the iPad 3, couldn't find it either.I plan to use the Verizon access intermittently over the next year, so here's what she told me to do to make sure I wasn't receiving unauthorized charges: Call Verizon to stop auto-pay (800-786-8419), then re-enter credit card information and choose a plan when I want to restart. She said there was no problem in calling them for cancellation as many times as I wanted.Seems clunky to me and I don't understand why I can't manage the account from the iPad, but at least Verizon is responsive and helpful. If I was a bit more of a skeptic, I'd theorize that Verizon makes the deactivation a bit murky in the hopes that users will let the plan roll over rather than call.

What kind I say, its very limited in everyway compared to android. Heavy, did not enjoy it at all. Ended up with the Note 8 and haven't looked back.

Came perfectly packaged and before the allotted shipping time. We upgraded from blue 2nd generation, and couldn't be happier. We also upgraded the amount of gigs. It makes a difference with two small children. Amazon rocks.

I got this. Because I like to FaceTime with my grandsons and the IPod is just too small. But I use it all the time now. Was a typing teacher, so have trouble using on screen keyboad, but kept my baby Acer for lost of thT.

A lot of memory, fast, reliable and super display. Tons of apps and the most importan the e-magazines. If you have an Iphone this is the perfect companion for the apple ecosystem.

This was bought as a gift for a family member. I can see why it is viewed as elegant and easy to use, but in terms of functionality it does not compete with other less "locked down" tablets that are on the market.

I love my new iPad 4!! I'm writing this review on it :) It was delivered quickly and the price was fair. The set up was a breeze. It is 100 times better than my old lap top, it's faster, and easier to carry around. The screen has a crisp image. I can do so many things on the iPad from surfing the net to watching videos and playing games. How did I ever survive without my iPad?

This tablet is book sized. Very handy for reading - not too big, not too small. It pretty much fits in your hand. I use it off and on throughout the day and have been unable to drain the battery past 60% in a single 24 hour period. I was able to compare the Apple Mini side by side with other tablets at one of the big box stores and preferred the Apple hands down. Price was better at Amazon so I bought it here.

Bought this for my wife for x mas. It was listed new/ gen 3 I pad. X-mas morning she opens it, plugs it in, touches the screen and it pops off. No big deal. its brand new and will be covered by a manufacture warranty. We take it to the apple store and talk to one of their tech's. From their tech people. "It is not brand new. its refurbished, its not under warranty, the box is not printed or even used by apple. return this now and get your money back".So basically the only true part was that is was a GEN 3 I-Pad. The only up side of this is customer service at amazon is great, always is, and I'm getting my money back once its returned.

I've been using a 1st Generation and it worked fine, but it was a shared iPad so I decided to get one of my own. The operating system couldn't be updated past 5, so it couldn't use some of the newer Apps. Couldn't afford the Air at this time, so I looked for a used 4th Generation and this one is just what I was looking for. This is a nice way for me to carry my books, check my email and read my National Geogrphic on my up coming trips. It also takes terrific pictures.

I was skeptical buying a "used" iPad. I had read reviews and decided to take the chance because of the amazing price difference knowing there may be a few scratches or a name engraving. When I opened the box I was very happy to see that it was just like brand new! No scratches, no engraving, no evidence whatsoever that it had been used at all! I am extremely pleased with my purchase, I saved half the asking price for a new one and I have a absolutely perfect top of the line iPad. I would definitely order from amazon warehouse deals again and trust the quality of the merchandise they sell me.

Takes some time, but learning along the way, it be super if it ( the instructions were written in a manual ) of how to use it, but u got to learn from the internet or good ole fashion experience of using the product. I do like it, for the cost was a wee bit high.

I have had this iPad 3 now for 8 months, and I can not find anything substantial to complain about. I use this with a ZaggFolio as a case and keyboard, turning into a tiny laptop, and it works phenomenally well.The Retina display is absolutely stunning. I haven't seen anything even close to it. It's crisp, clear, sharp, and represents color beautifully and accurately. Scrolling, touch, video, and movement are clean and responsive. The screen is not anti-glare, which is the only negative at all about the display that I can offer. It can be a bit too much glare at times, and you may have to frequently clean fingerprints off. However, it is tempered and oleophobic, so it's easy to clean fingerprints off with nothing but a microfiber cloth. The automatic brightness adjust is great for saving your eyes from a screen that is too dim or too bright without having to suffer long enough to get to the brightness control settings.The rear camera takes surprisingly good photos for being only 5MP. The front-facing camera for FaceTime and Skype isn't terrible for a tablet, either, and is passable for video chat, though I wouldn't use it to take a photo.The iPad is fast at loading and running apps, and with the app store having compatible apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac in many cases, you can have your data synced between your tablet, laptop, AND phone. Many apps now use iCloud to sync data between devices, making updating your information between devices automatic. Not all apps have this ability, but a lot of the better, more useful ones do.When combined with the ZaggFolio keyboard case, the iPad really becomes a tiny laptop. You get the best bluetooth keyboard available, a sturdy base to use as a landscape-oriented stand for the iPad, and a durable cover and case to protect the iPad.I definitely recommend the iPad, and if you're going to be wanting a keyboard for it, the ZaggFolio should be your next purchase.

I carry my iPad everywhere. It's everything my laptop was without the extra weight. It's my newspaper, photo album, game center, communication tool--everything but my phone (but with Facetime--it's better than my phone).
