I only had it for 5days when it fell off my night stand and the screen literally crunched into a million tiny pieces. I have iPad1 and ipad2 both have dropped numerous times Never cracked!Dealing with Amazon sucked....the gentleman in customer service was unaudible...in the emails they never sent me an RA.THANKS TO AMEX I'll be compensated.

A word of caution for those from 3rd world countries and from some non-major EU countries like mine -- if you are interested in buying an iPad first check that your country is on a list of supported countries in iTunes Store.If it isn't, your only option to get additional software and multimedia content on it will be to jailbreak it. Moreover, if Amazon Payments or Paypal don't work for you either making even Cydia Store unusable, your only source of applications will be pirated stuff from the shady Internet corners. Note that I am not advocating piracy -- I am merely presenting the choices you will have if you cannot select your country in iTunes Store.During my last visit to San Francisco I have purchased Apple iPad 3 (16GB, WiFi, white) in an Apple Store. I paid for it using my VISA credit card issued in Serbia with absolutely no issues. However, iTunes Store will not accept the very same credit card because I cannot enter valid billing address -- my country is not on the list.I exchanged several emails with Apple Support, but the only thing they were able to tell me is that my country is not currently supported and that they will eventually support it some day.Now I have a great piece of hardware which is useless except for very basic stuff -- email (a trivial client for people who get at most 1 email per day and delete it after reading), surf (if you can stand the ads because there is no ad blocker in Safari), social networks, some PDF documents, and that's about it.Thanks to Apple, I cannot purchase software, books, music, movies, tv shows, nothing. So, my advice to you is -- do your homework before purchasing. I admit that I didn't, because I haven't expected that in this day and age of e-banking and e-commerce someone is still discriminating credit cards by the country of issuance.

I purchased the new iPad while I was living in Sarasota, FL. The device itself is wonderful, my only complaint being that it doesn't allow the use of Adobe Flash Player. Sarasota is in the AT&T 4G LTE reception zone, so while riding in my car, or in a location where wireless wasn't available, their service was excellent and always dependable. While I realized that the 4G LTE service wasn't available everywhere, I assumed that their regular service would be adequate. Boy, was I wrong. My wife and I moved back to Upstate NY in June. During our drive north, there were so many locations where the AT&T service was poor, that I had no use of the iPad for a good portion of the trip. Now that we're settled up north, I've discovered that there's no 4G LTE in my location, and the so called AT&T regular 4G service is very spotty at best. I believe that the 4G service is actually 3G, but AT&T makes it sound better by calling it 4G. Anyway, 2 weeks ago, we took the train down to FL to visit my wife's mother. I was amazed at how poor the reception was. Yes, there were areas, such as NYC and Washington, DC where the reception was great, but there were far too many areas where there was no reception at all. AT&T is in the process of building up their 4G LTE network, but in the meantime, it's extremely frustrating putting up with the service they offer now. If you live in a large city, from NYC south, you'll be all set. If you don't, I would highly recommend purchasing the Verizon version. Please keep in mind that once you choose either version, you're stuck with your decision, as they're not interchangeable. So, the bottom line is that the iPad itself is a fantastic device (even without the Flash Player), but I have to remove 1 star because of the spotty AT&T service.

I gave my wife my old Ipad and bought this one, I love it, use it for everything. Do a lot of reading with it and it works great. Does most anything I need, hardly use my laptop anymore. It is not dramatically different from my old one.

Not much more needs to be said. Easy to set up for someone without Apple experience. iCloud needed to be explained a bit more before asking what the user wanted to do, but otherwise simple to setup.

This is my first apple product so was excited to use it however disappointed...Pros: amazing battery life, user interface is good , elegant, quickly chargesCons: not robust design...the laptop was hanging with blank blue screen and couldnt reboot at all...i got replacement ipad but it not a good feeling to use a refurbished product when you have paid for a new....i gave 3 stars since my friends also faced heating issues, cracks on the cover for this model... this is not expected from apple when they charge at least 2.5 times their competition....i also had issue downloading/installing some learning applications for my 3 yr old....however which u can easily download on android/windows laptop....relatively complicated to create apple user id....

The delivery was delayed quite a bit. Apple should include or build-in a screen protector. I had to pay extra to get those. When we connect the genuine 'lightining' cable that came with the iPad, it always says it is not for this product.

I purchased the item in early August of this year and I must say I have not been disappointed. I have never owned the original iPad so will have nothing to which to compare. However, this device has met most of my expectations and I love the ease of carrying it around. I say "most" because I realized it didn't come with a calculator like my Iphone. No big deal! I simply went into the app store and installed a free one on the device. Problem solved!! I am also delighted with the fact that I can surf the Internet and read my Kindle books at the same time. It's quick and very user-friendly. I'd say it's a sound investment.

Since my purchase the sound continue to disappear. What's strange is that my daughter purchase it from apple and she has no problem. Maybe that's what I should have done. You just never know what your getting when you go through a third party. My purchase of this iPad has only given me problems.

I'm just having problems with AppStore: I clicked in an app And found myself stuck in the page, I just couldn't gente out and search anymore because of that. Other thing I found annoying is to search on the web when needing the cyrillic script for example. I don't know how russians use iPad. Also the ebooks on iTunes Store are very expensive;it can't compete with kindle or nook, besides it has a bigger screen, it is much more expensive.

Everything I was expecting and more. I made the mistake of purchasing a Kindle Fire last year. Apps are limited and it appeared that the ones they did have were not as good as the same apps made for Apple products, like my iPhone.The graphics on these iPads are simply amazing! The processor is much faster than my girlfriend's iPad 2. I've owned it for less than one week but love it thus far.Oh, and I have not had ANY problems with WiFi connectivity issues whatsoever. I am guessing and hoping that they have since corrected that problem. I would highly recommend purchasing one of these if you are looking for the best tablet available, in my opinion. Enjoy!

The Apple ipad work perfect, but there are some problem with the apps, I can't download any app because the credit card that I used for buying it don't work with the App store, they said that the address don't match with my info, but is the same card that I use every day with every one else. I contact the Apple customer service many times but don't resolve the problem. I must buy another house with the address that match the info. I can use only for take pics and surfing internet...

I got an ipad for my birthday last year and I love it. I've used it so many places, in so many ways, including playing music off the Pandora App during and after labor with my daughter in the hospital. A year later, I've had ZERO problems with it and it works flawlessly. It synchs with my macbook pro laptop computer (which I also LOVE). I'm in graduate school and I hate lugging heavy bags with my bad back. I bought the wireless keyboard and now when I go to class, I put the ipad and keyboard in my purse and off I go. I downloaded the Kindle App and many of my textbooks are now available on there. So, I hardly have to carry anything with me to class! It also takes videos and records sounds, so if I wanted to record part of the lecture, I could.I give this 5 stars! Apple has it down! Once you go Mac, you'll never go back! :o)

This little thing is amazing (32gb wifi black). I haven't had the heat issues that I see mentioned. I don't know if it's that I got it in July instead of March or I just got lucky. The only time I noticed a temperature difference was with Netflix, and I thought that was completely to be expected frankly. It is processor intensive use after all.I find it very comfortable to hold, especially in the leather folio I purchased to carry it in. It's like carrying around a fairly normal weight book, which is pretty astounding in it's own right.But I daily experience awe at the power this thing has. From business applications to photo editing to games, this does almost everything I use my computer for. If I didn't need real Photoshop, a huge hard drive, or struggle over some of the websites that apple refuses to support (ahem flash), I might be able survive with the ipad alone. I won't, but I almost could.The resolution is magnificent. I prefer using to it to read now.I love that most of the apps I use I can sync with iCloud so I can switch back to my laptop with no hassle. I love that all my music is on iTunes Match now so I can listen to anything in my list while I'm out and about. There is so much to love here!If I had any complaints, I would say the camera needs a flash. It's fairly silly to assume that what you are photographing will be in the right light. It's much more likely that it won't. So that's kind of a bummer. I can't figure out a fix for this one.Syncing with my google accounts was a bit of hassle. I had to read up on how to make my google contacts sync with the native contacts app. But once it was set up then I didn't have to think about it.The really short cord was kind of annoying especially with the suggestion that we ought to remain tethered to the outlet. I solved that issue with a really long usb extension cord! Luckily it was something I had already.All in all I really like this thing. I'm glad I got it.

The new ipad is very good for one job, browsing the web: reading online news, books, searching various information. Typing is pretty good, but I did not try to do work on it. The spell auto-correct function is sometimes annoying. Some programs simply don't work on it. It is much faster than the Kindle fire. I find the camera 1) not so useful 2) possibly less good than in the iphone 4. It connects to a wi-fi network flawlessly.This being said, the casing is slippery and one has to buy a protective case. Once this is done, which is inevitable if you really want to make sure an accidental slip would not wreck your ipad, the options are restricted to hefty cases (I have the Otterbox Defender). At this point your device morphed into a heavy, bulky not so elegant netbook without a lid. Add a screen protector (included) and the once superb display is just grainy but yes, extremely responsive. It is of course an extremely fast, responsive tablet, about the right size and worth 4 stars. However, not five, as it costs way too much compared to a laptop.A word of caution about 4G: I decided to pay more to have this feature, motivated in part by the new sharing plans from At&t (which I did not sign up for yet) and the unreliability of cable internet providers in my area. 4G (LTE) does not really work everywhere on the At&t coverage map. My iphone works perfectly on 3G but 4G is dead in my house. It is not clear to me if I can force the ipad to use the 3G network, but my first impression, from admittedly superficial research, is that a locked device would not accept it.The ipad is good, but not a necessity. Purists may disagree with a comparison to the iphone 4 (in my case). But the iphone does everything the ipad does; its form factor makes it amazing, versatile and indispensable. At 10in screen size, all that seems unexceptional.

This device is amazing! It replaces my need for a smart phone. I love the GPS as I am directionally challenged, and do a lot of driving for my job as a private tutor. I also love the ability to check and respond to emails while on the road. Additionally, there are so many apps that help me stay organized and productive with my mobile office. It's also great for when I need a break from work.

Purchased the iPad initially to have in our home for a bunch of things such as reading, playing games, using maps, you name it.It's gone from not only a handy household device without having to use the laptop all the time, to a baby monitor that helps me keep an eye on our son at night. I have a FOSCAM IP camera paired along with their FOSCAM Pro app and it works perfectly. Rather than always having to use my iPhone as a baby monitor, I simply set the iPad on the side on a stand and keep the app running while keeping an eye on our little rascal.Love the iPad, has infinite uses. Last one we had was a regular one, as opposed to the retina display on this bad boy. Noticeable difference and is quite easy on the eyes when reading or anything else for that matter.

I ordered this iPad with prime shipping because it was needed right away on the road. Was very disappointed that it didn't not have a SIM card so it could be connected to AT&T. The only reason a person would buy an iPad with Wi-Fi + AT&T is to actually have AT&T. The iPad may have been ok besides that but since it was needed for it's connection to the internet it was worthless to me when it was needed most. If a SIM card needs to be purchased separately that should be clearly stated. This is the 4th (and maybe the last) iPad in the family and we have never had this problem before. I was very disappointed.

I had an iPad 1 and I would charge it once every 2 days but this thing, I got to charge almost everyday. It's crazy. Apart from that, it's just an iPad with no extra customisations available. Such a waste of money.

I took 1 star off because it has been a year now since I had my Ipad 4 32gb . I noticed the battery life lasted about 4 hours straight if in use...The Facebook app is good except when you try to post a photo only one per post allowed not like if you were to used chrome...

This is a good tablet for the kids. They can do games and watch Netflix but it is not great for what I need. After being frustrated by its limitations, I purchased the Samsung Note 10.1 and found that I can do so much more on it. I am sure that Apple will catch up someday but for now it is just a toy for the kids.
