I purchased this iPad as a gift for my wife for our 6th wedding anniversary. She loves it. She still loves her desktop but finds this product much more convenient. It is especially great for our road trips. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

I'm a PC dood...but this thing is great. It'll probably replace my laptop and half of my PC usage, too. Now if it just contained a cell phone, a wet bar and a terlit..........but there'll probably be apps for those soon, huh? After that, I want a Holodeck staffed with two brunettes, a blonde, and one of those green-haired empaths.

So, this is my first iPad. I had waited and waited until I just couldn't do it anymore! Plus there were so many fellow parents telling me about this great learning app on their iPad for their kids.... My 5 year old son loves it! I put a bunch of games and educational stuff on their and he tools around and really loves it! It is very easy to use, mine arrived nicely packaged and I was able to set it up immediately. I would absolutely recommend this to others.

Tablets are now better and better. When iPad 2 came out, it was good. iPad 4 spec was appealing. However, I found there are some issues on iPad 4.1. Heavy. It is as heavy as 7 inch blackberry playbook.2. It has been like that on setup. You need iTune or wifi. I don't have a Windows PC or Mac, and I need mac address to connect to my router. How can I do it? Apple did not think about this problem.3. No setup guide, not a sheet of instruction.4. Not to mention the price cost more than others.I have not connect the tablet yet. Probably let me kid connect to his iTune and get the Mac address. More to come.I have the ASUS tf700, and I like it a lot. My opinion, it is better than iPad.

I love the product; however, whomever pulled the order pulled 32 GB Wi-Fi Black Newest and I orderws a white one. I am going to keep it because it really does not matter to me which color it is; however, you should know that the QC in your department needs some training. This is the 3 time this has happened to me.

I love this tablet! I chose to purchase the wifi iPad as I use it primarily from home and was not too thrilled with paying AT&T even more money :). It has worked out perfectly, as most places have free wifi anyway. I also purchased an air printer for my iPad so I rarely need may lap top. Highly recommend.

I purchased this for one of my nephews and he has had no complaints. It works as intended. He loves it and carries it everywhere. The retina display is brilliant and really brings the games he plays to life in vibrant, stunning colour.

I love everything Apple. I have 3 iPod's, a nano, a classic, and a touch. Two iPhone's, the 4, and the 5. One iMac (latest model), and the Macbook Pro. This beautiful iPad was glad to live amongst his friends in my room. Beautiful retina, lots of space, 3G, how much better can an iPad get? It arrived with no scrathes whatsoever, charges fine, superb condition. I recommend anything Apple to anyone anytime. Great product, great price.

I was not sure when and if I would get an iPad. My wife really wanted one, so I got one for her and another for myself. She is a raving lunatic and cannot stay off the darn thing. She has cleared game levels she has been stuck on when using her computer. Must be the iPad. Great item. Great joy.

This product is incredible item, i love it. I do not know how it works in the future, but it works so well now. It connects to the web as quick as lightning.After using for few months, the iPad is still working well, but the home charger had the problem. After 30 or 45 minutes, the charger was very hot, I must unplug it and wait until it was cool down and plug in again. It took so long for fully charge on my iPad.

Apple is excellent bridge to from pre-school ages to formal schooling. There are hundreds of apps for use with the Ipad which help teach pre-shoolers. Great product. Great potential.

This is the 3rd iPad I've owned and it performs much better than previous versions. The retina display makes reading so much easier on the eyes. The clarity is remarkable. The processor also seems to be improved as the transitioning between apps is now quicker.

I am very happy and excited with this purchase, I really enjoy using this item and do almost on a daily basis. The only issue is that I need more memory to store videos and pictures on it, but I have options to take care of that problem by storing software on my computer and laptop so I only keep the most recent items stored on my iPad. Over all it's a great product and really, really enjoy having it.

How to rate an iPad? It has disadvantages, but ore advantages from my point of view. I tried another tablet before, which was broken 3 days after purchasing. Since then, I have it clear, there is no better tablet in the market right now, from the HW point of view. I missed the simplicity of using Android, above all everything related to files management (I do not like iTunes)

I was looking for a replacement for the 2 year old original iPad and looked at a number of Android tablets as well as Windows 8 tablets. In the end decided to go with iPad 4 and feel it was a good decision. The screen is amazing, the overall experience with the device is much improved compared to the original iPad. Transferring content and apps from the old device to the new one was painless, everything transferred perfectly except for one odd weather app which had to be reinstalled.

I am so glad I bought this IPAD. My first Ipad. I have a Kindle Fire and was considering the new Kindle Fire HD. After reviewing for several days I decided on this IPAD 4. I really love it. It is fast...in an area where we still have slow computer speed. I never used my Kindle for web browsing, it was just too slow. I use the Apple Ipad to search the web daily. Friends have told me they stop using their pc's but I don't think I will be able to give up my desktop. However, I love this Ipad and use it daily. It is just the right size for me; bright enough I can "see" it.

The speaker is on the back! To listen, one needs to turn the unit around loosing the video. Ultra dumb design. Speaker should broadcast towards front. Apple sacrificed beauty (?) for sense. The Apple " i,Pad" performed as promised. The situation here is that the project was for a cliernt for which we were going to use it it did not come throughWe were disappointed (Upset!) as the contract was quite large.. I see no replacement in the next half year.at the soonest. So have returned both units to Amazon for refund.Another surprise when two packages arrived not just the one I thought I had ordered. I am a computer "Luddite" So I may have screwed up. and ordered second one from Amazon. I returned both machine on the same UPS bill also. Both machines were in "mint condition" when picked up by our local UPS. When another project comes our way we will purchase from Amazon. You have met our expectations and given very good Customer Service.Regrets, Norman H. Carter

I purchased this IPad to give to my wife as a gift a year ago. She uses it endlessly for anything and everything. Her laptop gets very little use anymore. The screen is a bit fragile, and Apple wants an arm and a leg to replace the glass if it breaks. A high quality case is a wise investment, not only for ease of use, but for protection from breakage. These things are expensive, but well worth the money if you use a computer much or require portability. No more laptops on vacation!

This is my first tablet purchase and I thought I could minimize using a laptop. I travel a lot so I'll be using mostly for watching movies while traveling on a plane & surfing the web on the ground.First - the 4:3 display format is lousy for watching videos - with a 16:9 movie you lose 1/3 of your screen and a 2.35:1 movie you lose 1/2 of your screen to the black bars (doesn't make a difference how good your display is, if half is black). The 4:3 display format is a huge disadvantage compared to the Andoid tablets. My wife has an iPad 2 and for watching movies/videos I don't notice a quality difference between the two iPad's. So if you mostly watch movies save your money and don't bother with this tablet.Second - the lack of a microSD slot is inexcusable. The only way to interface with this device is with a computer & iTunes (it's Apples way or it's the wrong way - I guess they think their customers is too stupid to use this device without iTunes). So if you're like me and travel a lot you have to carry your laptop loaded with iTunes so you can add your media - very frustrating. Yes, I know you can buy a camera connection kit (another $30) and if you set it up correctly (8 character file names in a folder named DCIM) you can transfer your movies and photos (no music or anything else). But the SD Card must be FAT32 formatted which means a 4 gb file size limit - no good if you have lots of HD videos. With an android table, just take an extra microSD card (FAT32 or NTFS) loaded with your content and you're ready to go - no need for a laptop - couldn't be any easier.The new display is much better for surfing the web or reading (reason for giving it 2 stars), but others will follow.I'll be buying the Asus Infinity when ever (if ever) it gets release and then sell my iPad.

Bought for my wife for Christmas. Works great, her nose is buried in it all the time. Peace and quite finally, guys get this for your wife/girlfriend. It will shut her up and get her out of your hair, for a little while anyways. I'm just funning ladies. It's an Apple product, it works great, does what its supposed to. If you don't know what an Ipad is or does by now you need to read more than an Amazon review about it. My only gripe is that Apple, unbeknownst to me (and I thought I kept on top of tech stuff) Apple upgraded the processor in the Ipad 3 and started calling it the Ipad 4. I told someone at work I bought the wife an Ipad and was asked if it was the 3 or 4. I coudn't beleive Apple had the balls to do that with out a major release.
