The packaging was not effective. In shipment the Ipad box was slightly open because it had no celephane around it like it had been previously opened. No bubble wrap on one side of the Ipad. This was a gift so I only hope the ipad was not damaged.

as with all Apple products, this is amazing... and always reliable. I will never go back to PC's... I tell everyone... no matter what other companies have come up with to try to beat Apple... they never will be able to compete with its efficiency and reliability.

I purchased two iPads, one for my mom and one for myself. My mom absolutely loves hers, but I absolutely hate mine. She's terminally ill so does not leave home. I travel extensively for work, and therein lies the difference.The tablets have no issues on home networks or well-maintained networks like at Starbucks, but can't connect to most public networks like in airports or hotels. Like most Apple products, there are no detailed error messages to help diagnose the problem. The log on pages for these networks simply don't appear.There are a host of online posts complaining of this problem. Some are able to fix the issue by disabling Autofill in Safari, resetting netwok connections, etc., but others like me have met with no success. I have years of development experience and am by no means a novice when it comes to computers; the WiFi capabilities of this device are just very poorly designed.

As soon as the ipad 3 was introduced I bought one to replace my ipad 2. After very little use for 52 days beyond warranty, during watching a video the sound stopped. I called support and went through a hard reset but still it did not work. I took it to the apple repair shop and I was told that this is a common problem with the ipad 2 and 3 and that the loud speaker has to be changed for the cost of $78.57 plus tax.I was vwery disappointed because I always believed that Apple did a good job with quality and did not expect this from them. If Apple had a problem it had to recall or at least replace at no cost.

Looks like a good team, but you need to use additional applications for some programs, for example, bluetooth.Typical of Apple, complicated, I did't like ... I prefer Android

I've been a pc user for 30 years. Started with an Apple in '81. Switched to Microsoft pc's in '84 due to lack of software for Apple. I've always heard Apple was user friendly and intuitive ----NOT. Especially not their tablet. File transfers from computer to tablet (iPad) very cumbersome. Can't just drag and drop from MAC or PC over the network. Have to go through multistep process with iTunes. Have to transfer photos in albums. Once you transfer you can't delete just one photo from the iPad. You have to delete the whole album, go to your MAC or PC (if iTunes program on your PC works like Apple says it is supposed to - mine doesn't), make a new album with all but the one photo you want to delete from your iPad, sync the album back to the iPad. On other tablets, just access the network and delete or drag and drop the desired files. So getting on your home wi-fi network with your iPad only allows you to get on the web. Doesn't allow you to access the directories of other computers and transfer files with drag and drop or cut and paste or use most printers on the network (only Air printers) like other tablets, desktops or laptops can. All work arounds seem cumbersome and are not intuitive. Also, since iPads have no SD slots or USB ports that support thumb drives, Apple forces you to by the most expensive memory there is - the built in memory that comes with the iPads when you buy them and can't be changed.Surprised and disappointed in Apple

I got this iPad as a gift when i first came out and it is still working perfectly. I haven't had a problem with it yet and it is truly a nice piece of hardware. One of the only issues I can point out is the rear facing speaker, but there are ways to fix that.

I even love numbers such a great purchaseI was a little weary of going to a bigger tablet because I liked the way the 7 inch fits in the hand, but this tablet is so light, thin, and compact it feels good in the hand.And it's super face and the touch screen is so much more responsive than my nexus. So glad I got this

The iPad 4 is really good but not worth market price. When I saw the price I was ok with it at first because I thought it was 4g ready but you still have to pay for that. It has outdated low-end specs. Id rather get a laptop or a tv with that money. Im not worried about it though I got my Kindle Fire HD and getting excited about the HDX. Which in comparison to iPad 4 do opposite. They are high end technology tablets sold at generic tablets price. Thank you Amazon.

Works great. No issues. Set up sucked. Took too long. I hate the fact that you have to use your credit ## before you can even use the darn thing. My reason for the four star. Also sucked that 1 month later, they come on with the new Ipad.

I bought this for my sister's 70th birthday - and she loves it, of course. Who wouldn't? The retina display is amazingly clear for older eyes, and the Apple product simply works, as they advertise. Now, she can surf while watching the tube; take pictures of her garden and post to FB, browse the net, or play games. Apple is the best at this.

It works just like any I Pad. I have no complaints. It came with passwords on it that we had a bit of a problem However, when the sellar was notified. It took care of the problem immediately. I would recommend this sellar to others. I was a bit disappointed that the password were not removed prior to shipping that is why I rated the sellar at a 4 rather than a five.

The quality of the item exceeded my expectations, honestly. As far the product itself, I really enjoy it everyday. I'm not a basic user. That is, I wasn't looking for a tablet just to surf the internet or listen music like many people do. They look for all these expensive items, and never use all its potential. An iPad is a real powerful tool. You can automate tasks, help you organize yourself, save on text messages, calls, learn through downloadble apps, etc. All this in a single item. If you're looking for a tablet to just surf the internet, listen to music, facebook, just buy something else. The power and potential of the iPad doesn't deserve to be on standby forever.

After three attempts I think I finally have a good ipad. My first one the forward camera stopped working and I had to send it back. The second one came from the IPADSHOP fulfilled by Amazon and when I checked the warranty it was used and only had 6mo of warranty left. The box was wrapped in plastic to make it look new but was obviously not the same plastic that comes from the factory. I have read of others having the same experience with the ipadshop. So, google apple warranty check and check your serial number to make sure it is a new one. Amazon was great as usual and I had no problems returning the defective one and the used one. They even waved the shipping on the third because of what happened. Thank you Amazon!

This is my first iPad but I love this thing. It has taken some time and will take more to learn the functionality but so no issues. I do have it attached to a keyboard (see my NewTrent review) so it automatically shuts the iPad off when closed so I have not had to charge it for over 4 days.The sensitivity is great when playing games or switching pages. The display itself is simply amazing. I know it's a bit pricy but the 128gb also leaves you without a worry of filling the thing up or having to delete anything to download or try something new.

I truly cannot say enough positive about this handy device. So much is available to the end-user right at their fingertips! To give you an idea of its potential, check out this music video which I filmed using a couple of apps and the iPad's HD camera.[...]It's also a great way to engage the kids. looks sturdy, but arrived not in the shrink wrap and the initials J.C. were written on the charging block. It looks like it"s been used and I paid for a new one. It seems like it was a floor modal. I hope it runs well and it's just the charging block that's been used.
