After less then half a year one channel is gone... really disappointed that they didn't last, apart from that somehow uncomfortable to wear (tried all the tips) even though Klipsch credit themsleves with those uniquely profiled buds... overall impression - a bit overpriced and tiresome to the ear after a while, still have an identical pair of them left - let see how long they are going to last for...

I used it less than 20 times in past 6 months.The sound quality is unacceptable.
Microphone died after 3months, headphones after 6months.

These were a good pair of earbuds until one side stopped working. I would think a pair of headphones for this price would last longer than a cheap pair of Skullcandies.

I love these. The clarity was great, but i wish it just had a tad more bass. These were one of thee most comfortable earbuds I have ever used. I used them for at least 3+ hours off and on each day without my ears aching. I now use a pair of Klipsch x4i's.

Good sound. Reasonably comfortable. Blocks outside sounds really well. However, if you are moving around vibration of the cord movement is pretty loud.

All in-ear headphones will be prone for damage as they are light and under constant use. But as long as you take care of these, they will prove to be a great investment. Great sound quality, look, bass, non-tangle cord, etc.

When I sit in a coffee shop catching up on work, I like to have some light music on and be able to drown out the background noise. I wasn't interested in big, expensive headphones so I bought the Klipsch Image S4i-II Black In-Ear Headphones and they work perfectly. The sound is a great (I'm a pseudo audiophile.), they're very comfortable, and they do a much better job at drowning out the background noise than I expected. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I am very disappointed with this brand, last year I bougt a Klipsch Image S4-i and in less than 6 months one side stopped working, out of the blue. I bought a second pair, because I really like the quality of the sound and also because I am pro to second changes, but again, today, less than 6 months of my purchase, the left side stopped working. Very very disappointing! These are not cheap at all and they should last a lot longer. Stay away from them.

everything you want in an ear-bud. with several size choices you can find the right fit. The new flat cord almost untangles itself.

I replaced a failed earlier version of these ear-buds (one channel dropped out likely due to a failed cord) with these that were offered as "refurbished". I'm happy with the transaction price and delivery speed. I withheld the 5th star because they did not include all the various sized ear pieces that should come with a "refurbished" version. I would describe these as "used' or "returned" not "refurbished". The latter indicates it would have a box, sack and spare ear pieces.

It literally sounds like I'm wearing Tin cans on my ears. The apple headphones that come with the iPhone are more than twice as good.

I am impressed with the sound quality. I have been an avid Bose person for years. Having gone through three sets of their in head phones I thought it time to time something new. My biggest problem with Bose is that the plastic casing on the wires would breakdown and eventually comprise the sound. These have comparable sound the my Bose, which surprised me. My only complaint is with the earpieces. While they do provide many different sizes to fit all types, I could only get one set that did impact the sound quality. I prefer the feel of a smaller set, but I lost sound quality with them. So I use a size slightly larger than I would like which reduces the amount of time I can keep them in without discomfort. Outside of that, I am very happy.

I had heard great things about Klipsch in the past and when i decided to buy a new pair of headphones they were at the top of my list. I have had Bose and Beats and these are right up there with them. They had great base as well as crystal clear sound. They also have a flat cord which is very useful when storing them in your pocket and wanting to use them again without a few minutes of untangling. My only complain is I bought these specifically because they have a straight 3.5 mm plug and i needed that for my phone case, the plug is straight but is slightly wider than expected. This is not going to be an issue for most customers but if you have a life proof case it will not fit in without the headphone adapter. All in all a tremendous product and highly recommended for the recreational music listener.

The headphones suffered from a broken cord after a few months of normal use (e.g. phone in pocket while walking). While these claim to have a two-year warranty, Klipsch does not honor sales which weren't through an authorized retailer (so if it doesn't say Sold By Amazon at the top of the page, the warranty is not honored). This was my 3rd pair of S4i's, all of which suffered from a broken cable. While the sound quality and comfort are good, the durability of the product makes the MSRP pretty steep.

The sound quality is impressive (no doubt on that) for a below $40 earphone. The cables are very noisy (this is a design flaw that should be corrected). I didn't use them for commuting or even short walks. You can use them while the cables doesn't move!
The fit on my ear canal was good althouhg I needed from time to time to push them back to have a perfect fit.
After two month of usage the right channel died. I want to remark that I was very carefull while wearing them.
I like the case very much. Good design and I can still use it (with another earphones!)

I have had multiple Klipsch Image S4s and S4is. Since I needed a new pair I decided to try out the newest iteration, the S4i II. As other reviewers have mentioned, the biggest difference is the cord. The rest of the product is incredible! Great noise-cancellation, light, comfortable, good mic/controls, tight fit, multiple ear-buds and all for a great price. The problem is the new cord design. While I appreciate Klipsch's effort to remove tangling (a legitimate complaint with the S4i I), they have added a major drawback to this product that did not exist with the S4i I, cord noise. I am not a huge snob/sensitive to this sort of thing, however, this cannot be overlooked. It is awful, I have to turn the volume higher than I am comfortable with to overcome the constant sound of the cord brushing up with my shirt or whatnot and even then it is still noticeable and very annoying. I reiterate that I am not an audiophile or any thing like that, so this problem will annoy just about anyone. It saddens me to give the ear-buds such a low score for an otherwise nearly flawless product, but I wish someone had done it prior to my own purchase. I recommend sticking with the S4i I, the cord tangling is absolutely worth avoiding the insane cord noise on the S4i II.

First thing I noticed when I fit these in my ear is that they FIT in my ear. This is easily the first pair of headphones that haven't hurt after hours of use (over-ear) or fallen out after a bit (other-in-ear (cheap) headphones).
The second thing that hit me was the base. I don't believe I have heard base like this from in-ear headphones before. (Granted, free or 10 bucks was my previous purchase levels for in-ear headphones.) As far as upgrading goes I am really impressed. I had kind of given up on finding decent headphones because over-the-ear headphones, while they deliver great sound, just hurt my head after an hour or more.
These deliver pain-free use and fantastic sound. Almost makes me want to upgrade the quality of my music now because now I can actually feel like I can hear the difference. I have NO ide how these compare against higher end (~$300+) in-ear headphones, but I got the tip from CNET.com that these were pretty great, and I have to admit, I am loving them. (Plus they aren't white... =) )
[Edit: (A few days later) The more I use these things the more impressed with them I am. If you enjoy good sound but aren't a huge audio-phile then I would suggest buying these. Great sound, I bought them for 70 bucks, so keep an eye on the price if the default retail is too high. Since this is the first pair of decent headphones that haven't hurt my ears I have spent a LOT more time listening to music as I work.
A downside I would have to them is that there seems to be a "sweet spot" in my ear, if I just push them in it sounds kind of muffled but if I pull them out a little ways the sound quality cleans up.
Take note iOS user vs Android users. These are for iOS and the controls work great with anything Mac. There is an Android version where the controls work better with Android. (IE: The buttons don't work the same in my Android phone as they do on the Apple products...)
After owning these a few days now I would buy them again without any question.]

These earbuds are definitely the best of the best. These headphones provide high-quality audio through all ranges, from the deep enveloping bass to crystal clear high pitches. The sound does not get "tinny" or lose any fidelity at all.
However, you absolutely MUST be sure you are using the correct ear pieces. Put the headphones in your ear, and rotate about a quarter turn counterclockwise so get a complete seal and the best possible sound. I know it sounds silly, but that's how they work.
These headphones are also not truly ideal for working out it. I do use them, and they work well enough, but they will constantly come loose and fall out because they are a little on the heavy side compared to cheap in-ear buds.
If you want great sound from very comfortable headphones, definitely buy these!

I had a older pair of Klipsch and I bent down and broke the cable, so I replaced them with these. I wondered what all the 'cord noise' was in all the other reviews, now I know. If you move at all, and the cord moves against cloth, the wind, midgets who are clinging to you in fear of albino alligator, pretty much anything, there is a loud scratching noise that goes right into the headphones.
I love Klipsch headphones, SOOO comfortable, sound amazing ( quasi audiophile saying that, they reproduce the tracks really well ). If you are in a coma, or perhaps a quadriplegic, they would be rated at 5 stars, but because I happen to move upon occasion and when I choose to move, a loud scratching noise goes straight into my ear canals, they are only 3 stars.

Back in February we ordered the S4i-II but got the S4i. We contacted seller -- very hard to get though by phone. They said the sku was not linked to correct product but it would be fixed. They wanted us to order by phone, but I didn't want to give them my credit card. Just ordered the same pair April 2014 and it happened again -- ordered the S4i-II and got S4i. I think this is consumer fraud!

Do not buy. very high cord noise whenever it brushes against by body / shirt. Difficult to enjoy music. Very basic error, I wonder why the manufacturer did not consider.I want to return the headphones.

I love these headphones. The sound quality is great and works very well with my iPhone. What I hate is that these headphones keep breaking on me. I am currently on my 5th pair(Yes, that's how much I like these) I had the the first S4i then I saw these on sale and bought a second pair. Both of them end up crapping on me. Then I saw the S5i on sale and bought those. I still use them but I did have to use the warranty because buttons stop working. Then I bought this S4i-II when it was on sale and I ended using the warranty because the left ear bud crap on me. So far, I have no problem with Klipsch and using the warranty. I send them an email online and boom I get another one in the mail. I love these but the durability isn't there.
