Not a bad product, but it costs 3 times more than skullcandy's Ink'd 2.0 headphones, and sounds no better (I own both).
Also, these are not as comfortable as the Ink'd 2.0 headphones. Both have flat cables as well, so that keeps tangling to a minimum.

I've had at least 5 sets of these since I first discovered them. Great bang for the buck, I just wish I could hang onto them.
I would have to say that the new flat wire is a great improvement in durability but I don't agree that they tangle less than the older round type. I never had any trouble with the round type but these new ones are like a stiff fettuccini noodle that just won't unwind!!
Nonetheless, I couldn't imagine needing to pay more and surely wouldn't pay less for the other crap. I'm a real stickler for sound quality but I'd have to stop listening to music if I ever lost a pare of $400 earplugs.
Oh, I fly a lot and you do need to relieve the pressure on your ears, but I still love them.

I like these. Picked them up after my Dog are my Apple in ear set. These sound good and I'm happy with them. One annoying thing is the mic and controls sit lower than they do on Apple's headphones. Not sure if it affects the sound quality for phone calls.

I've owned 2 pairs of these. The sound gives me nothing to complain about. However, it cuts out when you slightly bend the headphone jack. I will get another pair to see if it's a common problem, but this issue also prevents the remote from working occasionally.
Edit: Must have been a problem with my iPhone 4S jack.

The sound quality on these headphones are average, nothing to rave about. Then the right side went out after about 4 months and there is no warranty with the seller for repair or exchange. Now I'm just out of luck and stuck with headphones that do not work. I do not recommend this product to anyone. I never abused the headphones, only wore them while sitting at my desk so I have no idea what made them stop working. Next time I'll go with a product that is guaranteed for at least a year.

Met my expectations for improved clarity and range of sound for my iPod Nano. Now hearing music 'hidden' by cheaper earbuds. Assortment of earbud fittings allowed me to find the one that fit best. Very comfortable. Like inline volume control which is very handy-have not used mic as yet. Recommend this earbud in this price range.

Great sound - when I'm not moving at all. Any kind of movement and the cord noise renders the music inaudible. I'm going back to my old ones that these should have replaced.

My husband kept complaining about his iphone earbuds falling out. Our son had purchased the Android version of these and liked them so I tried them for hubby. Great. He loves them. He's not an audiophile so we can't attest to that (although son is very pleased with the sound quality of his). They are very comfortable, function with the iphone features, and stay in the ears during walking and bike riding.

The sound is great. The earpiece is comfortable. I love the IPod control feature..........but, this product is very fragile. I have had two sets. The first set stopped working, (one channel), during a workout. I decided I must have been too rough in handling the product, so I bought another set. Same thing. About two months, (using carefully), and one of the channels went out. Maybe I just got two faulty sets, but I have not had this kind of trouble before with ear bud sets.

LOVE these headphones. I like the concept of the more sturdy cord, but find that it is a little too long. But you absolutely cannot beat the sound that these headphones produce. And, with the oval tips, they fit super snug in the ear and do a great job reducing (not eliminating) surrounding noise, which really helps on the train ride to and from work each day.

The Klipsch S4i II's are working out great for me so far. I have no complaints- if you ever used the original S4i's, they're very similar. These have a sturdier and slightly nicer looking casing around the monitors, and the remote's a little nicer- and perhaps nicest of all, the cord is now sort of thick and flat which helps to avoid tangles.
The main reason I'm posting this review is to clear up something I am seeing on the product page. It looks like there is some ambiguity about this product and so Amazon has temporarily suspended direct sales. I think I know the reason for that. It's possible that some people are just receiving the original S4i, but this is my alternative explanation: the manufacturer packaging doesn't say 'II' anywhere obvious. The front of the box (and the owner's manual inside) just say IMAGE S4i. So I'm guessing people are complaining to Amazon that they're having the wrong product shipped. That's incorrect. Turn the manufacturer packaging and look at the bottom; the SKU is right there and lists it as IMAGE S4i II. In this way, even if you can't recognize the newer features on your own, you can be guaranteed that Amazon shipped you the correct product.
EDIT: These have failed on me... three times. Every time, Klipsch's customer service is fantastic. They sent me brand new pairs, in box, after the first two failures. They didn't even ask me to send back the defective pairs. At this point, I've given up on them. Great service, and good sound for the price... but absolutely awful durability.

The sound is superb I recommend it for there quality of sound but I've only had my headphones for 4 months and I take exceptional care of then and already the rightside does not work, so iit's sad to say the least because for the price you would think they wouldn't just stop working.

Klipsch has a great reputation but this set did not work for me. If you like base, you will be disappointed.
I found that the earbuds that came with my iPhone had more base and were more pleasing to me.

They slip out of my ears too easily, the sound is mediocre, and the right headphone is now not working. Replaced them with the new Apple headphones, which sound amazingly better, stay in my ears and are half the price.

Very disappointing. Excellent product, for sure, if they had continued working! I used these daily while mowing lawns and they did an excellent job of drowning out the mower noise, but just about a week ago, one of the earbuds stopped working, and it is past the return date. I am beyond disappointed. $77 for working earbuds for a month.

While I am a fan of most Klipsch loudspeakers, the earbuds they produce are not a quality product. First pair lost audio to right channel after a few weeks. i returned them and now the replacement set is having the same issue. And these earbuds are only used occasionally.

I lost one pair in less than a month and bought another pair because I really like these. I am sort of picky, I listen to a wide genre of music, so I need bass. Yes, bass (technically mid-bass, whatever). I definitely recommend.

Full disclosure; I have this unit now because Klipsch themselves sent it to me as a replacement(under warranty and purchased through Amazon) for the previous S4i which I used daily, but I ended up having audio problems with the left earphone after a year of heavy use.
With that out of the way I'll just talk about the differentiating features of the S4i II and the S4i which almost all fall under cable protection improvements.
The cables are now flat and made from a more matte finish and they feel more substantial than the previous version. The volume/microphone dongle is larger in both length and girth, but from looking at the Klipsch website the innards remain the same, so I guess that was just a design decision maybe influenced by the new cable dimensions.
The part I'm most hopeful about is the fact that the connections at every intersection are thicker and made of sturdier rubber. The joint between the 3.5 mm jack and the ribbon is far thicker and more rigid. Most importantly to me is that the final connection between the 2 separate ear pieces and the cable is less bendy and a tiny bit thicker.
So overall this revision seems to be across the board about improving the longevity of the unit combined with a cable design that tangles less, all of which are welcome features to headphones that produce great sound. I definitely recommend this over the previous unit which was already my favorite set of earphones.

Good all around ear-phone for the price. Middle control is a bit heavy and bounces around alot if you are a runner. They come with a wire that is longer then normal so it can be a good or bad thing depending on how you use it. The bass is ok, not very deep and some vibration at high volume levels.

I bought these klipsch image s4i-II with pretty high expectations, and these definitely did not disappoint. they have great noise cancellation, clean crystal clear sound, and a solid bass. I own these and a pair of beats by dre tour (the most expensive beats earbuds), and these earbuds are better than my beats hands down. these are definitely the best earbuds for the money might be a high price tag but its definitely worth buying them. I am glad I did!

I received these as a gift and really liked them -- comfortable, good sound quality, the volume controls and mic were conveniently placed and worked well, and I really liked the flat, no-tangle cords. But one channel died after six months of moderate use. Reading the other comments, this seems to be a consistent problem.

Tried experimenting with the four different sizes of silicon buds; managed to get a tight seal so that I couldn't even hear the train announcements
Nice little clip to stop the weight of the cord dragging the buds out of your ears
I had no complaints about the clarity of phone calls from the in-built microphone

I have had exactly the same problem as other reviewers. Previously owned a pair of S4i's and was very happy with them until I accidentally broke them. Decided to replace with the S4i mk2 and from the 1st time i used them was really disappointed. The cable is heavy and cumbersome, I personally found it hard to keep them in my ears without using the clip, which i never had to do with the mk1.
The sound quality was good but then I lost the sound in the right ear for no reason at all. They were VERY well cared for - I don't take spending £80 on headphones lightly, so kept them in the pouch when not being used.
Have tried to contact Klipsch but their customer service is TOTALLY NON EXISTENT! several emails and not a single acknowledgement. I will not be buying Klipsch again.
Consider the Mk1's or failing that get a totally different brand!!

I finally wore out the s4i set that I bought just under the warranty expiration from Klipsch (2 year warranty) When I contacted them, they sent me a brand new pair of the s4i2. Every flaw from the previous model has been upgraded. The cable connection to the 3.5mm connector is now engineered better. The in-line mic and volume control seems of better construction. I do like the flat cables. Ear pieces are slightly larger, but this just makes for better sound. So far these have held up to daily use for over six months. Works great with my iPhone.

Pretty good, definitely better than the stock apple headphones. Sound quality is great for the price and they look and feel nice. Only bad thing is the volume control area is much bigger than I expected, I wish it was a bit smaller but it's not that big of a deal (lol)

Amazing earbuds, worth every penny.
Best sound quality of any earbuds I've tried. Frequency response is phenomenal, bass will blow your head off and the highs will cut your brain in half. DEFINITELY GO WITH THE S4i-II instead of the S4i-I, the improved cord is amazingly tangle proof.
Mic works very well, button quality on the little remote is sorta shoddy, but it works perfectly with my iPhone. All commands read accurately, but only drawback is the buttons don't have the most pleasant feel to them and if not looking can sometimes be mistaken. But hey, you can't have it all and with sound quality like this buttons aren't your primary focus.

I use earbuds constantly when talking on my iPhone to clients and other callers. These earbuds have taken some getting used to for me, but I really like them. The sound quality is good and a lot of the outside noise is lessened because of the design of the earbuds. The one thing I would like to see is that a change be made to the middle button on the control. I think it would be helpful for it to be a different size or shape from the other 2 which would make it easier to identify, simply by touch, that you've selected the correct button.

I purchased these as a replacement for the incredibly uncomfortable Apple earpods, and I'm so glad I did. The curved angle of the headphones makes fit snugly in my ears, and the sound is fantastic. I'm also a huge fan of the flattened cord, as they resist getting tangled in my messenger bag.

Perfect earbuds for an iphone, controls made them easy to use, microphone is super sensitive lol, just a great pair of headphones. Mine only lasted about 4 months i'm sure its my fault though lol.

These are the best in-ear headphones for the money and on par with some in the $200-400 range. I am somewhat of an audiophile and own some really nice headphone. These are great for commuting, I dont have to worry about being rough on them or loosing them. They really sounds very nice. I prefer adding custom ear tips. The flat cable is much better then the old version. Work great for calls.

I've had the previous Klipsch S4i (not the II).
I've also had the S4i rugged edition.
This one is a major improvement over both. They just sound better, and the new cable is finally durable!

It this time I have gone through my third pair of these headphones. While I love most aspects about them, the build quality seems to be lacking. I have tried to be pretty careful with the headphones and yet none of the three pair have lasted over 2 months. For a product at this price point that seems a little unjustifiable.

And, the rubber coating on the wires (I have the flat wires) definitely snags more than my previous buds that had the cloth coating. So put those two factors together and they've been a bit of a nuisance to use. Definitely not nearly as pleasurable an experience as I had hoped for.
They sound good, but I'm not sure they sound that much better than my $40 earbuds I used previously to justify the extra expense.
So, while I agree they are a great product, my overall experience has been disappointing. I expected a lot more after paying a lot more for these.

Would expect more from Klipsch but these headphones are garbage! I only use them to workout and after just a few months of at most 6 hours per week of use- they are useless. I will NEVER buy a Klipsch product again.

The durability is not. I only had these headphones for about a week. On day three the remote stopped working, and then 2 days after the sounds wasn't coming through the ear bits anymore. Sadly I had to return them and I purchased the rugged version in hopes that I get a better life out of them.

These earphones were a replacement for an identical set that I had purchased several years ago, and that finally stopped working. The replacement ones do a great job at the gym at both providing high quality sound, and at blocking out the crazy noise of some others who are in a loud class.
