I enjoyed the prior model of these headphones (S4i) for a year before experiencing a problem with the right earbud. There was apparently loose wiring in the connector which caused the right earbud to eventually stop working. It is a fairly common problem with that model based on the reviews on Amazon. I received replacement headphones under warranty from Klipsch (btw- great customer service experience), but the replacement pair developed the same issue after about 6 months. I really liked the fit and sound quality of these earbuds, so was optimistic when I saw that there was a new, sturdier model (S4i (II)) on the market. I purchased the S4i (II)s in early October, but unfortunately the right earbud quit on me just last week (less than 3 months of use). I only use these headphones during my daily commute and do not feel that I have been overly rough with them. For the price, these headphones should be able to withstand a few months of normal wear and tear. Perhaps I was just unlucky and received a defective unit. Klipsch customer service is sending me a replacement pair of S4i (II)'s, so my fingers are crossed.

I was looking for some good, high-quality earbuds for use with my iPhone 5. I've tried many, including the Beats by Dr Dre as well as the Monster ones. These have MUCH better sound, and seal to the ear nearly perfectly.

I bought these to replace my lost Klipsch Image S2 buds. As I understand it, the only noticable difference between these and the S4i - I is the cord, which is flat instead of the typical round. The purpose was to keep the cord from tangling easily. I will agree 100% that the flat cord does not tangle and when I pull it out of the case it pretty much completely unwinds (think: Jack-in-the-box). The drawback is that the design makes the cord heavier than I'd prefer. But all in all the earphones are great.

Six months after having purchased the product, it abruptly stopped working. I emailed customer support at Klipsch. A customer service representative promptly answered my email with a request for a copy of my receipt. Within two days of sending my receipt, a new headphone was delivered to my home. Their customer service department gets an A.
I have used these headphones for about two years. They are easy to use, have good audio quality and the microphone picks up your voice clearly, even when it is windy.

These work great. Sound great and do a pretty good job of noise canceling and when I use them for phone calls, they work great there as well. Bass is good, treble is good. I highly recommend them for iPhone.

Before you call to tell them you got the wrong product, the earphones are shipped in a box that does not say S4i II. It just says S4i on it. It appears one of the main differences that you can use to tell the S4i II apart from the S4i is the flat rather than round ear bud cord. At least that's the case according to the amazon rep.

I couldn't get these to stay in my ears. The heavy remote pulls the buds out of your ears. The sound didn't offer much in the way of midrange more of a boomy and bright sound.

Felt nice and secure in my ears. Audio was great. Fairly durable wore then about 8 hours a day and through heavy use. Lasted for 8 months before audio in right ear cut out and the control stopped responding (probable sweat)

I used to carry my bulky BOSE around the ear headphones on planes. Now I just take these to save the space. Sure they are not as good at canceling the ambient noise of the aircraft, but for me the space is more important. Also, the cord controls work very well. The quality of the sound for both phone calls and music is good enough for me(I am not an audiophile). The cord: It does not kink and is very easy to untangle after removing from a pocket.

I bought this klipsche headphone and I was disappointed by the fact that only one ear is working and right side is not . I am new to this amazon and I do not who to complaint about this defect item , I regret not going to best buy I pay the 100$.

I'm also someone who doesn't write reviews but these headphones right here... amazing! I use them 7 days a week and they are always in and out by bag. They never tangle as the cord is flat, sturdy and durable. As for the sound, the best money can buy. The ear buds sit in your ear so comfortably that the earphone itself doesn't touch you ear. A wonderful design. MUST BUY!!!

Earbuds are uncomfortable and the sound has a bit of a hallway echo. If you pull on the wire slightly the earbuds fall out. The wire is about a foot too long so it hangs out of my pocket really far. I returned these and kept using my iPhone headphones. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

High and low sound quite natural. No bass boom and sharp highs. Flat wire was excellent. The control to skip song requires some getting used to. Some slight line noise when in quiet area. It is not noticeable in noisier environment. Sometimes, the right side has no noise due to the suction of the earphone block the sound. The sound level output could be higher. Above all, very satisfied with the earphone.

After a terrible experience with Beats by Dr Dre (Tour with ControlTalk), I decided to give these a go following some impressive reviews of the originals. I wasn't disappointed; these are more comfortable and more accurate than my Tours, and provide enough bass without overpowering the mids or highs. At this price, I expected mids to be a little flat, but they are full and dynamic, although sometimes feel a little soft.
My only complaint would be the position of the remote, which acts as a splitter for the cable. It's just a little further away from my mouth than I would like, and people on the other end of the phone often say I'm speaking too quietly.

I like the sound quality. I'm no audiophile, but they sound good. They don't stay in my ears well and there's a lot of cable noise, but as one of the other reviewers mentioned, if run the cable back behind your ears, they stay in very well and there is no cable noise. Once you get the technique down for putting them in almost upside down and behind your ears, they work extremely well.

Purchased in December 2012 and they lasted until April. The left channel went out. This was my second pair of this image series and I purchased it because of the thicker cable hoping it would be more durable (s4i's lasted 3 years). Turned out not to be the case. I've tried to contact Klipsch support twice with no response, so, overall a pretty disappointing experience for a rather pricey set of earbuds.

nice fit in the ear, and nice audio. noice reduction is less than I would like, but for what I needed them for they fit the bill perfectly. I recommend them to you.

I typically wear this under my shirt while at the gym and have been told the sound quality is superb when talking to someone on the phone. I have had several Bluetooth devices but this wired headset is much better. I have also used this while driving a Jeep with the top removed and there was no background noise while talking on the phone.
Also the speaker/sound quality is what I expected from Klipsch. The flat wire does not get tangled but is sometimes difficult to stuff into a pocket.

Yes the sound quality is really good. But what good is that if wires fail an render it useless. I bought 2 of these one for me and one for my partner. My partner's one died within weeks - the wire inside the insulation just above the plug broke. The exact same thing just happened to mine. The flat, no tangle cables are a good idea - but clearly they aren't strong enough for normal use. $200 up in smoke.

Believe me - I've used many different in-ear phones over the years - but these are the best.
I love the flat cable - all too often manufacturer's skimp on on the cables and I've had SO many that have broken.
The sound is fantastic, the price is right and I really like the included case.
I carry these everywhere now - love them!!

Initally, these were fine for sound quality, fit and easy controls however they shorted out just two months after I purchased them! These cost way too much for that to have happen and it's left a bad taste in my mouth. I like to have my music during my commute to and from work...these were a big disappointment. Won't ever purchase again.

I have to say, I am disappointed. The sound is good. They have the feeling of quality. However, as others have indicated, they are heavy. And though I have not even had these headphones for six months, the right headphone has stopped working. In the defense of Klipsch, I contacted them and they have already processed a replacement for me. Which I appreciate. I just wish that it would not have been necessary. I do like that with the right eartip outside noise is virtually eliminated. Sitting and listening is great, but when walking or running they tend to pop out of my ears. I likely would not purchase these again. I had a pair of Shure IE a while ago that were pretty fantastic. In comparison, I would go the Shure route over the Klipsch.

Earbuds did not fit well. Sound is ok, but not the best. The microphone is ok, but not great. The tangle free cord is the best feature. I ended up returning it and getting the Panasonic RPHJE120P In-Ear Headphone for just $5. It a great buy with great fit and good sound quality.

The flat oval tips allow for long time listening and the sound quality is fantastic. You have to find the right size tips so that you have a proper seal to get the best results. Crisp treble, deep bass...very happy. I had the first gen but as many have pointed out the connection where the plug is wore out. These are considerably more robust and the button mechanism is a little larger which helps if you are adjusting the volume or track without looking. Love these earbuds, paired with a 6th gen Nano, you've got a traveling stereo about the size of a small cookie. Mm, cookie...

The Klipsch S4i earphones / microphone provide very good quality audio in a even in the presence of high ambient noise. Sound quality and fit are great. The ear pieces are very effective at controlling amibient noise - end result - very pleasant listening experience, far superior to Apple's standard iphone ear pieces.
Using the 4Si for hands free conversations is another story due to the microphone's performance in all but a sound deadened room. The mic reduces the overall rating to a 3 star rating from a 4 or 5. When on the phone, the other party hears others talking far more clearly then me. I have used the mic in a variety of different positions and orientations but it makes no difference. The Apple standard mic was far better at filtering out ambient noises and conversations than the 4Si.
If you are primarily seeking a good earphone for music and rarely use it for calls - I highly recommend this product. If your primary purpose is phone conversations, you'll be able to hear other parties very well, but they are more likely to hear those around you more clearly and louder than you.

The sound from these headphones were good. The problem with these headphones are that they don't last long. This was my second pair of Klipsch headphone in less than a year. This set only lasted me 3 months before the right headphone stopped working. I will never buy Klipsch headphones again. I would recommend to look elsewhere for good DURABLE headphones.

I've had a lot of headphones since I'm prone to loosing, squishing, and dropping them in water. I should just buy cheapo ones, but I love music and I bought these a few weeks ago. They're ok, but not as great as I was hoping for the price I paid.

not that greatest pair I've owned. Sound is mediocre, comfort isn't that great and its slightly longer than usual so at times it gets caught on things. Not worth the asking price.

These headphones sound great. I've been on a headphone buying spree lately trying to figure out what I want out of headphones. Even though these are a little pricey they have everything I have been looking for. The quick controls on the cord are easy and located just below the separation for the earbuds. The buds bring great sound and keep outside noise out but don't make a suction when you pull them out.
