This phone I rate as excellent. I was looking for a replacement for my error-prone Phillips 6.0 DECT. I use Vonage VOIP and some cordless phones cause problems with that service. This phone does great with VOIP. Here is my summary:Pros:>Excellent call quality.>Large display.>Call blocking for a limited number of numbers.>Great range.>NO answering system (I have Voice Mail and most phones have one built in. Unnecessary.)>Inexpensive.Cons:>Limited number of blocked numbers allowed [30]. (Not that big of a deal)Note: I would have given this five stars, but I've only had the phone for three weeks.

This phone is the best! Not only is it simple to use, but it has every feature imaginable, including caller ID, answering machine, and household intercom system. And there are no confusing codes. Everything is simple to use and to set up! I have tried others, and this is the best!

This is a good basic phone for the price.Pros +I like the that it uses Ni-Mh AAA batteries. With regular use (About 5-10 calls a day) a full charge lasts more than 3 days (lost only one of three battery bar in 2 days).Speakerphone is loud with no problems with microphone when in speakerphone mode (No low voice at the other end).Cons -As mentioned by other reviewers - contrary to as advertised, this model (KX-TG6511) DOES NOT support talking Caller ID. The manual that came with phone confirmed it for me. However, the phone does support custom ring tones which some what covers for the missing talking caller ID.Top row of three shortcut buttons are small and have no backlight. Its definitely a problem in dark, at least till I get used to the phone.Opening and Scrolling through phonebook and CID is slightly lagged but bot too bad.

I've used an earlier version of this phone, so the features were familiar. The instruction manual is easy to read and the setup was trouble-free. Sound quality and range are usual Panasonic standards (very good). I'm very please with the purchase.Chuck.... Houston

I LOVE these phones. Clarity, large letters and numbers, display easy to navigate, programming could not be easier. No complaints. As a matter of fact, when I wear these out, I plan to buy more of exactly the same.Highly recommended for those of us who just cannot seem to give up our hard-lines. These cordless phones ones are great. They even come with something you can put on your belt and walk around the house talking (but I don't use that).

The Panasonic KX-TG6513 expandable digital cordless phone with one base unit and three handsets works perfectly with our phone company's voicemail system. It was easy to set up our phonebook and sync it with the extra handsets, including a 4th unit KX-TGA401 that we purchased separately. I love the large illuminated buttons and the large type on the display -- a distinct improvement over our older Panasonic phone this one replaced. Each handset can be given a customized name, which is useful for making intercom calls between handsets. Clarity is excellent, even in speaker phone mode.My favorite new feature is Call Block (for Caller ID subscribers only) which allows the unit to reject calls when it receives a call from a phone number stored in the user created call block list. Thank you Panasonic.

We love this phone(s). It's simple but has all the features we need and the wireless connection to the satellite phones works great - even in my basement. I tend not to rate the products I don't like so I felt obligated to share my praise for this one.

The Panasonic system solved not only communication in a three story private home via its intercom feature, but also the problem of available phone outlets. You only need to plug the base unit near a AC source and a physical phone outlet and the rest of the other units can be placed virtually any where. The AA NMh rechargeablle batteries are long life, does not have memory like nicads, readily available and cheap. Unlike the specialized battery packs that are expensive and often hard to find in the old cordless system. Other features such as internal programmable phone book, speaker and conference mode all add up to a winner. I highly recommend this system and will purchase additional units for each room in the house.

Good for the price but has some drawbacks, again these drawbacks depends on how much you use those features. Max speaker phone volume is not loud enough, recently called numbers list is too short and the phone doesn't remembers like say last 50 called numbers. I have not done a range check on this phone but I think range should be fairly good. The best part is the battery life, you can talk for long hours on a single recharge. Another cool feature I liked of this phone is that it allows to set date and time manually or automatic (by network). This feature is useful to me especially since I use Vonage and have a east coast number but I live in the west coast and with my previous Philips cordless phone it automatically used to set to EST with no option to choose for manual date and time adjust.

I have loved Panasonic cordless phones and after using an AT&T system that died on me after two years, I decided to go back to the brand that had been flawless for 6 years before that. The ratings on Amazon were all great, and I bought this phone assuming it would sound good. The first set sounded good only when I was sitting two feet from the base, and as soon as I walked around the house no one could hear me. I returned it for a second set that did exactly the same thing. Between sets I went on vacation to a home with the same phone and it was even worse in that house.I'm not sure what to say, because Panasonic was my go-to brand in the past and other reviewers loved this phone, but three in a row have been crap for me. Now what do I do?

Solid phone for a good price. Panasonic could work on the menu system a bit but a good basic phone. Has really great range and call clarity is top notch. Speaker phone is above average for a phone in this price range.

I have had these phones about a month, no problems so far. The features are great. Call block, separate rings for different groups, clear sound, other options my previous set didn't have (they were the cheapest possible and didn't last a yr). Only time will tell if they last but so far they're excellent.

I am really pleased with this product on every level. But I must admit, the ringing option let me select the most pleasant tone. Previous to buy this new phone, I often fall asleep after work only to be jarred awake by my last phone ringing. This new one gently calls me out of my dreams. In terms of overall electronic quality, the phone is excellent and delivery was really fast.

My previous DECT 6 phone broke recently and I picked this one because I don't need answering machine.This is 2010 model from Panasonic without the answering machine. If you are looking for answering machine, explore KX-TG4031B which is similar to this one with answering machine.Cons:- It takes 3 to 4 seconds to open the phone book, i just have 15 contacts stored (half star rating less for this).- No Talking Caller ID on this model as advertised in the item description (half star rating less for this).- Can save only 50 numbers in the phone book.- Speaker phone exists only in the handset not in the base. I think this is same for most basic phones in the market.Pros:- Can conference 2 outgoing calls like we do in cell phone.- Great call quality both using handset and speaker phone, but i have not noticed the call quality difference between DECT 6 and DECT 6 PLUS technology.- Excellent range and changes to ECO mode when the handset is closer to the base during the call to increase talk time.- Great battery life. After the full battery charge, I used this phone continuously for 2 hours and I still see 2 bars out of 3 in the battery indicator.- Light weight handset. The handset uses 2 rechargeable AAA batteries which is easy to get.- Large buttons in the number pad. The screen is clear and you can see the caller ids clearly.- I am using one handset but this system can be Expandable up to 6 handsets.

The phone system works flawlessly. The range is great and the volume while talking does not diminish while talking during lengthy conversations. Battery life is very long. Previous wireless sets from 2 other manufacturers would diminish in volume or just disconnect while talking long distance for more than an hour. These phone batteries far exceed that - I can't say with certainty how lomg they will last because even after usage that exceeds hours, there have been no problems. I also like the feature of both phones being able to conference at the same time - so when talking to relatives we are both able to be on a headset at the same time. I would definately recommend this phone system to a friend and would definately purchase it now if I had not already done so.As to purchasing through Amazon, I would do that again too. There were no problems and speed of shipping was as promised.

I didn't realize this until I got it, but this product has no answering machine. Oversight on my part, but it cost me an unnecessary $6 to return it. I returned this and got a similar unit with an answering machine.

I'm a big user of Panasonic products, however; this telephone has some big problems. It has a reoccurring beep; it seems to be searching for a stronger signal. The phone also has periodic silence spots; you can't hear anything not even the other party on the line it's like the phone has no power. Lastly, there is a sort of wind noise, all these issue are frequent and random; they disrupt and ruin important conversations. I suggest staying away from this phone. I should have returned it but since we use our cell phones most of the time I neglected to return it during the warranty period.

I had rated this a 3 star since the phone was cancelled after I ordered it due to not having stock yet it still showed stock when I went to re-order.However today I received the phone and called them. I am returning the phone since I had pruchased another one - but they did end up explaining to me what happened. consequently I have changed my rating to a 5. Very nice people at Price Pros.So sorry I didn't get a Panasonic - but they did responde quickly and satisfied me.

I had my first set of Panosonic phones for near 15 years. When it was replacement time I chose the Panosonic once again. I am glad I did. The updated version is great, numbers are bigger and the menu easy to navigate. I can highly recommend them.

It took some time to adjust to a land line phone that was only slightly bigger than my Verizon cell phone. However, I can still hold it against my chin so I am hands free to flip some eggs. We have also used a headset as it has a jack for that. When I read the specs, I was under the impression that you could select a number of ring tones but there are only 2-3 tones and they are adequate. The handset locater button is easily accessible. I have not yet programmed in any favorite numbers but it seems easy to do. Scrolling to previous callers and calling them back by pushing the "Talk" button is very intuitive and easy. When someone calls, there number comes up on the caller ID and is easily readable. Overall, good product.

I bought this based on review. Already, in only two months, one handset is not working. It will, for no reason go to mute, and there is nothing you can do about getting it back, leaving the person on the other end to fend for themselves. It is awful. The set I had was better than this. Don't buy this, look for something else!

I needed a new office phone and wanted something comparable to the Panasonic model we got for home a few years ago. The model we got for home apparently is no longer available. So far I can only get the phone to work if I use it in speakerphone mode! I can't get a dial tone for the most basic pick-up-the handset operation, but there IS a dialtone since it works in speaker mode. I will probably have to send it back and I really need a phone for the office NOW.

I had a set of VTECH and a single Panasonic phone that just died on us. The VTECH lasted about 4 years and the Panasonic lasted a good 6-7 years. I was looking for a set of 3 to replace the 3 that had died on us and after reading reviews, I decided on this set. I didn't need the voicemail since it comes with my home phone service. I like how each phone can have its own ringtone. The LCD screen is easy to read with big fonts and back light. Hope these phones will last as long as my old ones.

I have researched expandable cordless phones for the last 3-4 months. All the research indicated that this model was the best for the features I was looking for. I needed an expandable cordless phone that had features like caller Id, call waiting , expandable with at least 2 handsets but without an answering machine. This model is very sleek looking and only took 6 hours to charge initially as opposed to overnight for most models. The clarity is great and the range is also very good. The main reason for purchasing this phone was to replace another expandable system that was very old and was not holding a charge. The price of this item was also a factor in my choice. It was one of the most affordable with the features I was looking for. I would definatly recommend this phone. It is a good value for the price.

i replaced an older panasonic phone with 2.7 gz. technology,the dect 6.0 technology gives you excellent voice clarity and sound quality, old phone i could occasionally hear other people talking in the background on their cordless phone,i live in an apartment complex, the large screen and large time and date display is convientent, the large keys and numbers make it easy to dial the correct number, i bought the headset, having phone sitting in my lap or on table is painless compared to holding phone while talking, i did have to go to panasonic web site to learn how to use user handbook. why the information is not at front of user book is a enigma, there has been no problems with phone, nice to buy a quality product.

I needed a DECT phone with a headset jack. There are surprisingly few available, and I finally found this one. It is perfect for what I need, which is just a phone, because I already have another DECT phone with answering machine. The signal is very clear and no static, which is important in my house with Wi-Fi, Blackberries, and cell phones everywhere. Always nice to find a product that does what it say it does simply and reliably.

This phone is so light that you think it is a toy. However, it packs a powerful punch. The set up is so easy and when you enter the date and time in one phone, it sends a wireless signal to the other phones so they are all in sync. I am very happy with this phone!

Read the description carefully and remember to do your homework. I hoped to utilize the Bluetooth and wireless contact sync features listed under the item details; however the model I purchased (KX-TG6512B) does not have those features. After receiving the phone, I looked closer at the description and realized that the Bluetooth technology is only featured on different models within the KX series. So the features included are: Call Block/Silent Mode, Intelligent ECO Mode, Non-Slip Handset Design, and Smart Wall Mount. Other than the disappointment of no Bluetooth due to my lack of research, I have been happy with the phone so far and would recommend this product (AS LONG AS they weren't looking for Bluetooth of course).
