I was really surprised at the poor quality. Equally surprised that I didn't feel the product measured up to its excellent reviews.The phone seemed poorly made -- very light weight. And the voice quality had a tinniness to it. Also it was very difficult to hear the caller on the other other end.On the upside, when I called Amazon to return, they were positively wonderful about it. They asked whether I'd like a replacement or a credit. I ended up exchanging it for an AT&T phone that far surpasses it. And yes, it cost about $20 more but well worth it.

I needed to replace my old Uniden wireless phones that kept cutting out & saw that a national consumer group reported these as their "Best Buy". Set up was effortless & it just took a few minutes to catch on to the way these phones operated. The things I like best about these phones are:Caller ID is displayed in large letters that are crisp & clear. Black letters/numbers on a white background.Phone Book is shared. Unlike my previous ones that had to each be programmed individually.You can set different rings for different groups (i.e. General, Family, etc).Phone is larger (approx. 6.5 L x 2.75 W) & can be held against your shoulder easily without hanging up, hitting unintended buttons or dropping it all together.The call quality is exceptional!If there are any "cons", I haven't found them yet. I'm very satisfied with my purchase!!

Overall for the price I am happy with this phone but it does have some issues.1) Limited memory, you can only save 50 contacts which is very less. Good thing is that these are shared contacts.2) It has pencil cell like rechargeable batteries.3) Overall phone is slow so if you click on the phonebook and quickly enter first letter to search for the name then it might not get it if you are too fast.Battery life is good, overall build quality looks good & shipping was fast.

I've tested several phones and this set is one of the top especially for the price. I recently went with Uniden but it was junk and the Panasonic was the new-permanent replacement. This phone works like a champ. I highly recommend it.

We've had this phone for about 2 years. At first, it was fantastic. Sound quality was (and still is) quite clear. Love the multiple handsets. Menus are easy to navigate. Features like night mode are nice. However, for the last several months, speakerphone quit working on all our handsets. Also, if the phone has been off the cradle for any amount of time, it will often shut off when we try to answer a call, forcing us to run through the house to grab one of the other phones. We've always liked Panasonics and have had some that lasted almost a decade. But we're already in the hunt to replace these after only 2 years. If this is Panasonic quality today, we'll definitely be going in another direction.

It did serve us well for a while, then one day it stopped working, display message "base no power". A quick google found out that it's a common problem. Avoid this phone if you can.

Love this phone. The phone has such great features, it is easy to use and set up. For example it holds 50 phone numbers, my last phone only held 10. You can program one phone and the other 2 phones automatically are changed. Love that it displays the time and date and it also displays when another handset is in use. The clarity is outstanding. The phone is also very light and comfortable to use. This phone is worthy of my high recommendation. Received great service from Amazon as always.

I've never had cordless phones that I liked. These are great. Good sound, and they are as comfortable as a cordless phone can be (I prefer the old-fashioned wall phones with the recessed place for your ear!). I can use the phones out in the yard with good sound quality. I also bought an additional handset, so we have four phones in this system. I like the speakerphone setting and the digital readout is plenty easy to read. I highly recommend these phones.

My wife and I have been looking for a phone without an answering machine (as we have it though our phone service) that still had all the features of caller-Id, speaker phone, headset jack, and intercom and we were very happy with this model. We have been using the phone now for about three months and it works great. I have been told by listeners that they can't tell if I am on speaker phone, head-set, or standard phone-to-ear interface.

Needed new phones, went on line, did some comparison shopping and decided to spend a bit more and get this Panasonic system. Glad we did. Has speaker on both extensions. Settings on one phone are automatically shared with the other. Caller ID. Stores the voicemail phone number for easy one touch retrieval.Also features the date and time on the display which comes in handy as it often doubles as a bedside clock. Overall, very pleased with this phone.

I recently purchased a second Panasonic KX-TG6512B DECT cordless phone when I needed another base transmitter and phone handsets for the outdoor phone line. Initially I checked to see if another wall mountable desk phone would work but found the GE phone I liked would not be compatible with the Panasonic and Uniden phones I am currently using and went back to another Panasonic model just like the first one I already have.While not perfect it does fulfill my needs of having an extra cordless phone and transmitter closer to the garage for better sound since the other transmitter is as far away from the garage as it nearly can be.Pros:Great phone for the price.Lots of functions.Nice design and include clips if you like to carry your phone on your pocket, waistband etc or use a head set to talk on the phone while walking around.Call blocker if you get lots of telemarketing calls.Display can be set to have a larger font for easier viewing of time, etcReally long battery life compared to other phones I have used!(I think it's because it has a "ECO" setting to conserve the battery life when the handset is close to the base unit.)It even has a an alarm clock on the handset!Cons:Contact phone number storage is smaller than I'd like.Sound can be a bit scratchy / hissy when you are not very far from the base transmitter.

We had Panasonic phones in the past. The last set lasted 9 years. We found these phones, read the reviews and decided to go with Panasonic again. We are very pleased with them. Sound is good, has a larger text for viewing and the price is very reasonable for two phones of this quality.

Bought this phone to block telemarketers. It blocks 30 numbers plus, private, out of araa, unknown, any caller without a number. I had a Panasonic DECT 6.0, but it would not block callers without a number. Excellent product for what I bought it for. Well done Panasonic.

Bought this in January. LED display failed on one of the handsets in June.Returned handset to Panasonic with a copy of the Amazon purchase receipt showing it's still under warranty and a request for repair/replacement.Get a letter back asking for proof of purchase or else they want $30 plus shipping and handling (!). It was in the return!Why this extra step in aggravation? Why not just fix it.Oh by the way, the replacement (if I ever get it) is a refurb with only a 30 day warranty.

I replaced my older Panasonic phone system with this one and am very pleased with the sound quality and it is user friendly too. The reason I ordered this phone is for the call block feature which is unfortunately necessary these days with all the robo calls I have been getting. I only wish the call block featurecould be enabled to notify the blocked callers to stop calling! I also love the feature that lets you push a VM button to retrieve your voice mails. Previous phone did not have this feature.

+I did not realize that this set was not the one I thought it was. The phones are great but it was my fault as I was looking for the set that announces the number of the caller. I thought that this was it. I was wrong.I got rid of the original shipping carton so I guess I am stuck. Is there any solution?

After just a few months the phone stopped working with the message Base no Power. I checked the base and tried other outlets, no use. It is defective. I will try to return it since it should be under warranty.

Within 6 weeks of ownership the phone completely stopped working. All hand sets displayed an error message that said "Base No Power". I double and triple checked the base unit and the receptacle, everything checked out, just the phone was bad. After 2 months of dealing with Panasonic customer support, we received a replacement. All was well for 7 months, in fact the phone worked quite nicely. Very good reception and range. However after these 7 months, we had the same sudden phone death and "Base No Power" message on all handsets. Since it hasn't been 1 year since the original date of purchase, I'll be sending this one back for replacement as well. My advice, void this phone. Who needs the headache of repeatedly returning a defective phone? One last comment about cost, the months we waited for the replacement phone, my wife and I went way over our mobile phone calling plans. Like salt on an open wound...Ouch!

Very happy with this phone, had a Uniden before which was good but this has a couple of nice features. No specialized batteries is the first plus. Programming and getting to voice mail is nice and easy. The real game winner is the call block feature, I am on the do not call list but still get tons of calls from others I have no interest in talking to and are exempted from the do not call rule. Adding numbers to call block list is a snap, when somebody calls that you want to block you just do a couple of button presses and its done. Would like to change the ring tone, but thats minor.

According to the info on Amazon, this phone has an "answering device". Wouldn't you think that meant it has an answering machine......not so much.I don't want a phone without an answering machine.....back it goes...and I have to pay for return shipping.

Loved the phone ...until... after only 3 months - constant busy signal - error messages 'no link to base' 'base no power' Tried everything. New batteries - $34. Spent an hour at Radio Shack trouble shooting. Spent hours on Panasonic website - irritating. No service response from them at all. Spent more time on web troubleshooting. Nothing worked. Save yourself the headache - buy a different phone.

bought this phone system 2 times now and both times they broke the exact same way prematurely so I thought they owed me at least one replacement. WRONG. Bill who unbelievably is actually an officer at customer service for Panasonic would not do anything without a reciept. Like I manufactured fake panasonic phones right. I contacted the main office and they would not budge. I figure the one phone not the whole system, just the one phone might at the very most have cost Panasonic 5 bucks to replace for me but instead they now lost a customer for life with not just phones but tv's and whatever else Panasonic makes over 5 lousy bucks. To boot, there is no telling how many people will not buy one of their products when they read my reviews here, elsewhere, blogs, tweets, facebook and elsewhere. Was it worth it Panasonic?

Had mine a couple weeks ago. I have probably had about 6-7 cordless phones that I have used for a while and then they crap out and I have to discard them in ewaste recycling.This one seems like a quality product and so far it has worked well.Feb 2013 it's still working.People discuss all the nice features of this phone. But the biggest virtue of the Panasonic versus the other brands of cordless phones is that it WORKS.

Easy set up. No wierd, hard to find batteries to replace. The intercom was such a bonus because my husband is hard of hearing, but the "star ship Enterprise" tone it makes is just the right pitch. No need to (yell and look for him just to tell him to come for dinner). The headset sound is clear, and my sister says it picks up EVERYTHING in the background. The display screen is well lit, I have poor vision but am able to see the display without ant trouble.A gteat telephone system!

We have returned this phone to Amazon. We have a phone card from Sam's Club and could not input the two numbers needed into memory. Called Panasonic but they were no help and we could barely understand the representative. Other than the lacking of the memory feature which we needed, it seemed to be a nice phone. Clarity was very good.

I've elected to have only one base station because I have my cell phone as my primary number. The reason I do this is that I'm recovering from spinal cord surgery and can't get to the landline most of the time when it rings. But the Panasonic phone is really a marvel at the cost of it. It has so many features--half of which I'm still in the process of learning! Good tone quality too. I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants a reliable phone that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!
