I bought this so that I could connect my new Samsung TV and BluRay player to the internet. They have built in functions I wanted to use but a wired solution was messy and the USB wireless dongle is Samsung specific. The Samsung wireless solution is both hard to obtain and expensive (with two dongles required for my setup). This unit was perfect because it picks up the signal from my wireless router and then allows me to connect both the TV and the player via standard ethernet cables. Yes, the initial setup is non-intuitive but previous reviews had the necessary steps documented.

This wireless bridge/access point is very underwhelming. Had a real hard time maintaining it's connection to my Dlink-655 router. I returned it to Amazon once I was convinced of its poor performance.

I tried for hours to get this to work... Spoke to customer service for about 30 minutes. Great customer service, but we weren't able to get the unit to work with WEP security enabled. Also, the signal dropped out every few minutes (there are plenty of free signal strength apps, but i used one by metageek).

I initially purchased the ZyXEL WAP3205 to connect my XBOX360 to XBOX Live. Works great for this and about $50 cheaper than purchasing the XBOX 360 wireless adapter. Another plus..we also use it to extend our existing wireless network to areas of our home (upstairs bed room and back yard patio) which were previously slower due to the location of our wireless router in basement utility room. While it could be confusing for novice to set up, and to eliminate re-writing very helpful directions from another reviewer, follow the directions as posted by J. Ferguson. They worked exactly as written and were much easier than following the directions provided.

I am a tech guy. I always buy the latest products. I was slightly afraid to buy this product due to the fact that someone else said the setup is clumsy, but all of it was on the CD. They actually made it totally easy to set; this is not a normal setup, because you are buying it for a bridge, repeater etc. These kind of setups are more complex on other brands. I didn't even open the CD, I called the technical support, and I was attended by a representative within 5 mins. He hooked my TV and xBox via a D-Link router (main) within five minutes. DON'T GO BEHIND BRANDS PEOPLE! THIS IS AN AWESOME PRODUCT FOR SUCH A LOW PRICE, WORKING GR8!

This is a wireless access point for my Panasonic BlueRay/VHS player.Without the instructions in the first review (thanks, "jimsrod") ease of setup would have been "0" stars and I am somewhat familiar with "instructions".

ZyXEL WAP3205 Wireless N Access Point / Ethernet BridgeSee Ferguson's review for the essentials. My wireless router is a DLINK and I finally had to make it visable for this device to find it as typing in the name of the network did not work.I have a laptop and Directv receiver attached to this device. The DTV receiver is giving me problems and doesn't find the connections, as well as being stuck in "Double Play." This is a week now and their time is running out until they are gone!

Got this for my son so there weren't wires everywhere. He is extremely good with computers and it took him almost an hour to set it up - if it had been me it would have taken hours! Directions are not really clear and he got it working through trial and error. But once it was working it was (and is) great! Better and faster than friends that have wired connections to their X-box. As long as you have patience go ahead and buy this - you won't be sorry.

Using this so I can have wireless connectivity to my Samsung Blueray player. Having to reset the PC IP address is not intuitive for someone who's not very tech savvy. Had to contact ZyXEL tech help to get it to connect to my ZyXEL NGB-419N wireless N router, but they were very helpful. Ended up having to change a setting on the NGB router. Once tech help helped me get it connected it works great! No lag or skipping at all in streamed movies from Netflix.

I use the ZyXEL WAP3205 as a wireless bridge to my Panasonic Blu-ray player and it works very well. It was more difficult to set up than I expected, but a couple of reviews on Amazon had some good instructions on how to do it. The documentation was not very well clear or detailed.

Looked at the manual, tried to open and configure with a browser, then realized Windows 7 has an option to setup an access point. Sixty seconds later, it was done. Works flawlessly and reaches every place in the house. What's not to like?

This is a great router for the price. Three modes (access point, router, universal repeater) for one low cost makes it worthwhile. But if you want to use it for anything other than a router, be prepared for some work because the documentation is terrible. For client mode, you need to setup a wireless profile, and bind it to the WAP3205. Not too bad. For universal repeater, the documentation leaves out key things like you must have the WAP3205 set to the same channel as your main router and that for the broadcast SSID, it should match the main router for security, channel, and bandwidth. Once you know this info, it works great.

I purchased this to use in client mode to hook up to my blu-ray player to provide wireless internet access. The documentation was straight forward and it took me maybe 10 minutes to get it up and running. I temporarily gave my computer a fixed ip address greater than 192.168.1.2, hooked the zyxel to my computer, navigated to 192.168.1.2, entered my wireless security settings. After that I hooked it up to the blu-ray player and all worked perfectly.

Bought this to connect Samsung P1600 blu-ray player to my existing wireless network. It's half the price of the Samsung USB adapter and I still have an empty port left over. Just used the instructions from Morgan's review and getting to my power strip behind the entertainment unit took longer than setting up the device. Streaming Netflix in no time. Choosing free shipping and still getting next day delivery (Dallas to Austin) was a bonus!

Struggled with the setup a bit at the start until I recalled the Amazon reviews for this unit. Once I went back and read and followed J. Ferguson's review, I was done in 15 minutes. Using with my DirectTV receiver and it works perfectly. J. Ferguson should be writing ZyXEL's documentation.

I purchased this to use as a universal repeater.Works pretty well once it's set up, but it was far too difficult to get into that mode and then functioning for an actual connection. Unfortunately there still aren't many products on the market for completely wireless repeater solutions.It works. I can get online throughout my (very wireless technology unfriendly) house, but you should be prepared with a good helping of patience.

Pretty useless piece of wastage. No DHCP server for the first time use. You have to actually set the computers IP Address manually to communicate with it. Don't know if it works with Internet TV (Bravia) for which I bought it. Did not have the patience to go any further.

This is the best Bridge I have ever had (among the 4, 5) so far... easy to setup and fast. The only thing if I add might be the document, it explains a lot of things but still a little bit confusing on some points.Hope it won't die soon! ;)
