Still trying to figure out how to use the 3D function properly. Otherwise, the picture quality of this is awesome. I projection is great and I would have paid more for this. UI/software could use an update at some point, and I'm still trying to figure out how to use the 3D function. But so far it's highly recommended.

Like a lot of people, I was interested in buying a projector simply for a larger TV viewing and video game experience. If you look through a lot of these reviews and product discriptions like I did, you will probably be frustrated with all the different things to consider. I bought it just to get a little experience with projectors, and I am very satisfied.

Unless you plan on spending more than $650, just go ahead and buy this projector. Great Picture quality and very easy to use. I have just white drywall in my appartment and the picture this projector produces on the wall is exceptional. There are really only 2 cons for me. The speaker is junk, but every projector has bad speakers. My advice is to go ahead and spend no more than $30 on the speakers and bundle it in with the projector to save a little on shipping. The other con is that there is only 1 HDMI port. So switching in between cable and DVD/GameSystem means you have to manually switch which device is hooked up to the HDMI. Overall all I would recomend this to anybody looking for a bigger TV viewing experience.

We've only had a chance to use this out doors once, because of weather, etc, but it worked fantastic. We felt like we were at a drive in theater. We hooked it up to an old boom box and the sound was great. The picture was crystal clear. The kids loved it. Well get many uses out of this next spring.

I use it with my PS3 to watch Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. Works perfect. I still did not try the 3D capability, though. This product is definitely a great value for money.

Owned the previous model and unfortunately the bulb gave out, was willing to purchase a new bulb but thought what the hell id go with this years new model and try again. Iam pleased i made that choice i love this thing and use it a ton, its my computer monitor and projects 110 inches on my screen. best purchase ever ! one word AWESOME !

We have watched several St Louis Cardinals playoff and world series games and are just blown away by the clarity of the picture on the 120" projection screen we purchase for our back yard. The picture is clear - even at a little before dusk but really pops once the sun goes down. Super easy setup!

We were purchasing this projector for an outdoor movie night for our 10 year olds birthday party. After reviewing several projectors, this had some really fine reviews in reference to image quality. So, we spent the extra $40 -$50. so worth it. The image was so sharp! The speaker was lacking, as the other reviews indicated. We just hooked up our own speakers and it was like being in a real movie or outdoor theater. 35 kids had a blast and so did the parents. We will do this over and over again. We also ran some old home movies converted to DVD. It is really fun. Worth every penny.

I am using this product for more than a month now. I really love this product. Pretty bright display, though don't expect it to be working great in a lighted room. Also built-in speaker is not that good. So be sure to have a good external speaker system to use with this projector. Configuration is pretty straight forward. Only disadvantage with screen set up is, this projector have only "Horizontal" keystone which makes you to place the projector centrally with respect to the screen. Screen brightness is pretty good in dim bedroom light. For the price this product is worth for its features.

I bought this so my family could watch movies under the stars on our rooftop terrace. I also bought a portable screen to go with it. The combination has been a BIG hit! I connect my iPad over HDMI and play Netflix, and connect the projector's audio out to an old iPod audio dock. Movies look great and sound great!

Gone are the days of blurry or faded out projectors. Get one of these and start enjoying the big screen!

This projector is truly amazing. For the price I don't see how you could possibly find a better deal. I currently have this hooked up to my cable box in a moderately sized living room. It is shooting onto some blackout material that I bought from a local hobby store. I am getting a 90 inch screen that is full HD 1080p. I work for the cable company so I see a ton of different tvs everyday and this thing truly has an outstanding picture. I am still scratching my head trying to figure out why this thing is so cheap and boasts a 15000:1 contrast ratio. If you have been looking for an HD projector with HDMI input for a good price, this is it. Seriously don't pass it up.

This thing is awesome. For the price we paid, we couldn't be happier with it. We projected a movie on the back of our garage for a neighborhood movie night, and it worked great. The picture was huge, clear, and bright.

The picture quality is amazing, it is super easy to set up and when you consider the price of a big screen TV buying this and a screen is so much cheaper. Some of the other reviews mention a screen door effect and we didn't notice that at all.

I'd give it 5 star, but don't count on using the built-in speakers for anything other than small conference room use.

I actually use outdoors for backyard movies. Plenty bright to use in everything but the brightest of sunny days. We were really happy to be able to start outdoor movies well before dusk. And I simply use a pair of computer speakers plugged into the audio input for sound. Great projector.

I am technology challenged -- so I was VERY thrilled when this arrived. I connected the power cord, attached an HDMI cable to it from my computer, and voila! This came to life and automatically set everything up and I was in business. Perfect! Very bright, sharp, and clear image. I use this in classroom teaching and also I brought it home to watch large screen football game. Go Seahawks! Fantastic. Get it! Don't hesitate.

Viewsonic has really done it. The contrast and color is awesome. I do not understand the negative reviews. The description and specs very clearly state what it will (and will not) do. This unit is great for $350. I mean what do you expect for this kind of money. I took a chance, really expecting very little, because of the price. I really thought they could not give you all this under $500. Maybe that is why i am not dissapointed. I knew it was a $350 projector. I would really like to have the PJD7820HD, and will when I can afford it. Looking forward to the true high def.

I spent a lot of time researching these projectors, and was going to go with the earlier version of this projector just because it had more reviews, but I am happy with this one.

I use it mainly for watching movies and xbox, and its so nice to not have a tv in the room. The colors are awesome and the picture is great. Its probably not as bright or detailed as an HDTV but I don't think you would notice unless you put them side by side. Its awesome to have a home movie theater on the cheap. The picture projected from the laptop is not as good as from the xbox for some reason, might be an issue with the laptop. Haven't tried the 3d or blu-ray, but I've had it a couple months now and it is still working great. Even with some light on in the room the picture is bright.

I purchased a Viewsonic DLP Projector PJD5132 May 9, 2013. Case # C11777124 With this projector came a remote. The remote will not turn on the projector or control it in anyway. It took until July 18, 2013 for Viewsonic to send another remote and now it does not work. With the projector mounted on the ceiling I have to get on a ladder to turn it on and I can not adjust the projector. I had no idea this company had poor service and would not stand behind their product. I have been patient but now I would like my money returned or a product that work. What can I do to get

I bought the ViewSonic Projector so I could give presentations without the hassle of borrowing someone else's projector. It is so easy to use, just hook it up and it projects. I haven't mastered all the things you can do with the remote but the picture is clear, the minor adjustments easy and it is light weight.

I also plan on using it outside to project home movies at night for parties. Worth the price.

I ordered this looking for a decent budget friendly projector and I must say that this product blew me away. The colors are rich and bold and the 3000 lumens is BRIGHT! I can watch this during the day (with the blinds shut) and still see a clear picture. I mounted the projector from the ceiling about 14ft away from the viewing wall, as a result I get about 100" screen. The speakers aren't great but most projector speakers aren't. I am going to go to radioshack today and see if I can't buy an audio cord so I can hook this up to my stereo receiver. Overall this is a great projector and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking at buying this.

P.S. If anyone knows how to hook up this projector to a house stereo receiver, any info would be great ! Thanks !

It was great but after two months of used it keeps on flashing and auto searching for inputs so it makes it impossible to use or even watch anything on it ? It was good while it lasted but its a waste of money because of policies its to late to return or replaced ? I don't recommend to buy off line I might of got damaged on the way over. Thanks for robbing me.

This projector is amazing. It has turned my living room into a movie theater. The picture is crisp and bright and the 3d is amazing as well. The sound quality is poor but can be easily corrected by hooking it up to a surround sound. I highly recommend this product to anybody looking for a large screen tv.

This is our first projector. We spent $100 more than we planned because the reviews we're so amazing. And while we know nothing about projectors, we absolutely LOVE this one! The quality is amazing and it's equally incredible during the day or at night and we don't have blackout shades. We'll never go back to having a traditional TV. I don't like having a TV as the focal point of any room so I love that we can turn any wall into a great big movie screen and then I can put it in the cupboard when we're not using it.

To whom it may concern: I read a few reviews on Amazon where users stated the pjd5134 is NOT compatible with the Ps3's 3d format, this hasty rumor is now being put to rest!! I purchased a 15 ft 1.4 hdmi wire and the Sainsonic DLP active shutter 3d glasses and I'm playing Black Ops 2 in 3d with an amazing 9 ft x 6 ft screen ( king size sheet ). Image is clean, my poor 55 inch LG is collecting dust.. haha Anyone considering purchasing this projector has my stamp of approval!

Picture Quality for HDMI (Hi Def) gaming = A+

BUT: It does not have a standard RGA input for sound, meaning you get projector sound and have to do a silly (antiquated) audio out to speakers. For the price I'm happy as I get my sound through my HDMI cable on my xbox, but it is noteworthy as I never thought to even CHECK that it would have a STANDARD RGA sound input (as nearly all TVs and projectors have), but worked out since I use an HDMI cable. Overall I'm happy playing with Mario 2 feet tall :)

Don't get drawn into SVGA vs HDMI vortex if you are looking for a cheap and good projector. I have a 15 feet wide room and I project it so i can watch it lying on my bed. It does convert any standard signal (480p through 1080p) into the appropriate viewing window automatically.

I wouldn't buy this if I am creating a top of the line home theater in my basement but that's not the purpose of this projector anyway.

I just got this yesterday and have to say its amazing. I was planning to get a screen,but looks like it won't be needed as its quality is great also on my beige wall.

Pros
Day light performance is great
Portable
Clarity is far beyond than expected for this price. I was debating on whether to get the xga version vs the svga, but I don't think I will notice the difference!

Cons:

I just wish this had a USB direct input for playing my movie files directly off the hard drive.

Lots of pros. Good picture, lots of connection options. I had a 3d movie playing in minutes. My active shutter glasses connected right away and Jurassic park 3d looked incredible.
A few cons. 3d TV broadcast won't work without additional equipment. The mounting brackets are off center so if you mount it to the ceiling the shifted center of gravity means it wants to hang crooked. A simple but irrating design flaw. The amazon suggested mount ( VideoSecu LCD/DLP) is a poor choice. It barely fits, and the off center attachment point of the projector combines with the mount design to make it almost impossible to hang level. I'm pretty handy but embarrassingly have a few hours invested in leveling this setup, which is still crooked. You should buy a different mount.

I really enjoying this projector, since I got it , I have my relatives and friends often in a get together to watch movies, we have a blast, especially if you incorporated a home theater system, I got the Onkyo HT-S5400 7.1 Channel and a 3D HD WI-FI Sony BDP S5100 Blu-ray disc player, all together make my house looking like be in the theater...
