It works well but you have to be pretty far away from the projection source to get a bigger picture. It also is not good at if projecting from an angle. Key stone does not compensate very well.

This is the unit for you! We use this projector for outdoor movie night in our front yard. The projector performs great! With 3000 lumens you can start your movie before dusk. The HDMI makes it very nice to connect any player for movies.

We love this and use it all the time. Crystal clear picture. It does need an attached sound source though, because the speaker does not resonate very well. We attached our sound bar and the set up works perfectly for our outdoor theatre.

Nothing but flickering. Picture doesnt look hd at all the pixels are huge. I sent it back and got a better optoma projector for 600 and it blows this thing out of the water. Dont waste your money!

Much to the chagrin of my roommate, when I found a $5 projector screen at the thrift store, I informed him there wouldn't be any more need for his tiny TV. Choices of projectors in this price range abound: +/- $50 to the $350 this ViewSonic model was priced at made my head spin. I was confused whether a "business" projector would work well enough or if I really needed to double down and spring for one twice the price with the trappings of a "home theater" setup. As always with Amazon, I wasn't afraid that I wouldn't be able to return it if I was either dissatisfied with my lack of projector knowledge and research or with the quality.

As it turns out, going with the "popular" option turned out to work well - all the reviews and videos I found proved to shine true. I was amazed to find that somehow 800x600 pixels with an HDMI input from a PlayStation 3 turns out to look completely stunning. If you have worries about such a low resolution ruining your Netflix and video games, fear not. I am certainly not an expert, but I don't think I could really be happier. Only a few things happened with my particular unit that brought my review down. The center screw-foot that adjusts the height doesn't have an even rubber foot. As a result, I had to put a piece of paperboard under one of the corner feet to create a correct image. The other issue is the audio output - it's not a particularly tight-fitting element. I had to adjust the plug to the sound system to get both the left and right channels working (same happened with a pair of headphones). In the end, the projector isn't moving so I'm not worried.

We needed a few projectors for Sunday school classrooms, PJD5132 is a perfect choice, so far we are very happy with the product.

Pros
- Solid build quality, enough features, inexpensive
The projector is well built, and because it does not offer some of the latest bells and whistles such as HDMI connectivity, 1080p resolution, etc, it is offered at a very good price. Perfect for our classroom needs. We use them at Sunday school classrooms, where they are connected to laptops and iPads.

- Display quality
Image projected are crystal sharp and super bright... can't ask for any better, very satisfied.

- Relatively light weight
Not the smallest and lightest like those micros but those pocket types are pretty much lacking in resolution and brightness

- Other
Using standard computer power cable and connector. We had Vivitek projectors bought a few years ago, which use non standard power cable and connector. The connector on the projector was pretty flimsy, we've had a couple broken ones. Power cable was also proprietary, which was very difficult to replace when lost. So this time in our purchase we paid specific attention to not buy something that uses non standard power cable/connector.

Cons
- Does not include carrying case
Maybe I'm used to buying projectors with carrying cases, especially the type that are for office/school use. Carrying these without a case is cumbersome at best. What makes it worse, the separately sold ViewSonic carrying case for this model has been out of stock. It's been a few weeks but we are still using projectors without carrying cases.

great picture for the price. I have it in my "Man cave" where I am able to get a screen that is 8 ft long x 4 ft high. it's exactly what i thought it would be my only critique would be that you can adjust the picture size, but it's all done by hand. So after you adjust the size you then need to adjust the focus. Not a big deal to me especially since i think the picture on it is spectacular.

Fantastic projector for the money. I have had it for over a year and a half and it is still going strong, far surpassed the expected life his on the bulb. very sharp and bright.

The projector is great for what I needed. It has enough lumens to display video in a brightly lit room. The only issue I have with the projector is the low resolution, but this is an issue I expected when purchasing the projector. Overall it is a solid piece of equipment, though I will probably purchase a projector with a higher resolution when I finish constructing my home theater.

The picture is amazing! I would have never imagined it would have such a crystal clear picture! Definitly a great buy! Don't be fooled by the amazing price because it delivers quality video! The only thing I would suggest is the use of an additional speaker system, the speaker built in is not very loud.

I was afraid to only spend this small amount for this projector but I'm so glad I trusted these reviews. It is a very bright clear video that comes from this unit. I bought it for Halloween to project Halloween videos in my house. It is so bright and clear. We really we're he envy of the neighborhood. My kids use this all the time.

Very crisp picture, very bright even in the middle of the day! I don't even use a screen, I just set it up to project on my cream-colored wall and it works really well. Also, while buying actual speakers would not be a bad idea, especially if the room has a lot of ambient noise, it has pretty decent sound quality and volume for built-in speakers.

I can't believe how clear the picture looks on my bare wall. Can't wait to try it with an actual screen. I love it!

I had gotten one through a friend in which i had used her prime account! and the projector is amazing! i was expecting the projector to be very low light as well as a so so image but i was wrong! Watching Avengers in HD on the projector at about roughly 75" was fantastic and i was projecting onto a grey wall considering if it was pure white im sure it would be better! there is no lag in the image with 120hz it runs perfect speed for sports... etc

Bulb alarm came on after less than 50hs of use. It shuts off every 3 mins. Living abroad is impossible to ship it for repair.

This projector is pretty amazing, specially for the price I paid. I bought it refurbished and it was such a great deal. I project the image on a wall 10 feet away without any screen and it works fine, as long as it is not too bright in the room

We used this for an outdoor movie night in our backyard. We had a 144 inch screen and this projector was AMAZING! It is fantastic for the price. All of the adults commented on how great the picture is; and they hope we host a lot more movie nights at our house. Or football games!! This projector was so easy to set up and use. I had it up and running with my sound bar and Blu-ray in less than 10 minutes. The only thing I did not like is that the instruction manual is on a cd. I prefer a paper copy in hand. But, most things are going in that direction and it drives me crazy.

This projector worked fine for the first year i purchased it. then it stop connecting to the mac why because i upgraded the mac software and view sonic dose not continue to support it. I bought this projector to install it in my living room and watch movies at night. Am glad to say it surprised me with the luminosity of the lamp. I can watch videos even with some light in the room.
The HDMI port enabled me to keep my chromecast plugged in permanently and cast different services directly on the projector from all my devices.

The only CON i can think of:
The projectors lamp is permanently adjusted at projecting for more than 20 degrees above the parallel. So if you plan to install the projector at a wall behind you so that you can project on the wall in front of you, and if the distance is more than 10 feet, then you will be required to install the projector to a lower height, at maybe 4 - 5 feet. This makes it difficult to install it exactly behind you seating arrangement. I solved this by installing a syrofoam plank under the hind legs of the projector thereby reducing the angle of projection.

It's got HD but it's not anything super impressive. It's not top of the line, but it's also not crazy expensive. For the price and for the quality that you get it's a great buy.

Pros:
- The light is strong enough to see the projection even in a lit room.
- The HD is smooth and crisp.
- The size of the image and the focus ability is very easy to adjust
- It's small enough to where it can fit in pretty much every cubby-hole, so if you have a book shelf or something like that then it'll work perfectly.
- It has all the ports you need (HDMI, VGA, RGB, USB, Aux, etc.)
Cons:
- If you don't have an external sound appliance (ie. soundbar, surround sound, etc.) then the sound out of the projector is crap and really annoying. BUT I have some Turtle Beachs that I hook up while I play games and that's totes mcgoats dope.
- Walking in front of the projection is obviously a suck-fest. Try to have a ceiling mount or something really high up on the wall. I'm 6' with 6'4" friends and a low ceiling so that part is tough.

Overall, for the price range, it's a great buy and it's cheaper than the TV you're going to get of the same screen size. I've got my projection on the wall at about 80". So that's pretty dope, considering.

This projector puts out a good picture, but you have to place the projector almost 15 feet back to get even a 60" wide image, so it's useless for smaller rooms.

The projector is easy to set up and operate. The image can be adjusted by moving the projector closer (smaller image) or further away (larger image). The image is sharp and bright and can be seen in a classroom with a wall of windows.
