After seeing the good reviews on this projector, I purchased the Viewsonic from Amazon. I have a 70 inch Sharp TV which I haven't turned on since I turned on the projector. I added speakers to improve the sound and painted a wall to use as a screen. I purchased 20 dollar 3d glasses and the 3d is excellent but I am not a fan of the active 3d. I use Amazon all the time and never do reviews, but $350 for this projector is an excellent buy. I was planning on buying a 80 inch tv, so this purchase saved me thousands.

While we have not used this replacement lamp, we were pleased with the quickness of it's delivery. It is a perfect replacement for the lamp in our projector.

When I placed my order on this projector I was under the impression that it had an HDMI hook up considering in the pictures of the projector it shows that it has one, but when i received my projector today I noticed that nope there isnt an HDMI hook up.... please do not show that it has an HDMI hook up if it lacks one. If I could give this a lower rating than 1 star I would.

I was convinced that I wanted a 3D television and figured I'd have to spend more than $2000 for a good one so decided to wait until Thanksgiving sales to see if I could get a good deal on one. Then when looking for a projector to watch movies outside I found this and was ecstatic! It is the best of both worlds and the best part about it was that I bought a 74 inch Elite screen and paid less than $1000 for an awesome movie experience that is portable! I very highly recommend! To get a true movie experience, you will need to combine with a bluray/3D DVD player and you will need to buy speakers as the speakers are not nearly loud enough but I just have a cheaper set of Logitech computer speakers that I plugged in and they work great. We even took it camping with us and just hung up a sheet (we did not have the screen at the time) and it worked great! So worth it!

Bought this little projector for outdoor movies and we have been blown away hunter picture quality. The sound is not great which is why 4 stars but add some speakers and you will be blown away.

We purchased this item two months ago, but could not able to open it until last weekend due to moving. The projector stopped working within 2 days of opening. There is no way to contact Amazon or to return it, as Amazon does not take responsibility past 30 days. ViewSonic will not refund it because we purchased it from Amazon. We had purchased it after reading several great reviews on Amazon, but we have lost faith in this product and in Amazon, as there is no way out.

If more people knew how capable this projector is, it would impact sales of large format TV's selling for $4,000. If you plan to use the projector during the day, then you need to have a dark room for best viewing. I hooked this projector to my new sony 3d smart dvd player, this combo replaced my 48" Panasonic tv. Now I watch tv on a 120" screen.

Used the projector for our Halloween party to play scary movie the whole night. Worked out great, would have given it 5 stars but the audio is lacking. I knew this already from the reviews but what can you expect for the price. Well worth the purchase just buy some external speakers and you will not be disappointed. Picture quality very good, used it with our laptop via HDMI cable.

This thing is a beast. I display the picture directly on my wall and the image is outstanding. Very good value for the money. I made the mistake of purchasing a screen. Turns out I didn't need one. It looks fine on a white wall. Try your wall first and then maybe consider a screen. You might be surprised like I was.

Finally it's has arrived. After all the reviews, I let my friend order one for me. It was not disappointing. It's soo easy to set up. I'm new to projectors and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure anything out. It's just like a flat screen and the 3d is awesome. I played a 3d game and wow. I am so happy the price was soo good and u get all this awesomeness. I never even tried the speakers on it. Didn't care too. I hooked it up to my computer speakers and u could controltene volume on the remote of the projector. The blu ray movies are wow. I project an 80-100screen from 12 ft away. I just lie on my bed and watch movies and play games just wowing every time. Glad I bought this. I use my air condition cause it pushes a lot of hot air. I feel it cause the projector is on my bedside. But it doesn't overheat so far. But what electronic item doesnt have heat. Plus I live in the Caribbean and I need that ac. So ppl I say get one! Nice price nice feel nice quality nice looking.!!

Wow What a great Purchase! I couldn't be any happier with such a great projector. You will need to purchase a 3D Blu-Ray player and the 3D glasses that you can get for low prices. The 3D Glasses that are needed are inexpensive and most on the market will work with this projector. The 3D viewing is to me better than going to the Cinema. So if your wanting to add 3D too your Home theater This would be a great projector to invest in.

I have had mine for about a week now and I use it everyday! Video games are ment to be played in JUMBO size! I = just ordered my 3-D glasses so I cant wait to play games and watch movies in #-D but over all this was my best purchace ever! :)

Works great. Nice and bright especially when showing a video with light interference. It works better than expected and recognizes being connected with a VGA or RCA cable. Wish the keystone from side to side was adjustable.

Projector is awesome. Wanted a projector mainly to connect to my laptop to watch sports and movies. Did a lot of research and based on price and feedback/reviews i got this one. Couldn't be happier. Picture and brightness are amazing. Only minor issue i have is the throw distance isn't great. Meaning, i was hoping to get a nice size screen (maybe 100 in) from 11 ft, needs a lot more then that to reach a nice 120 inch. other then that its a great buy. For the price and product its a win-win.

I absolutely love this projector. My livingroom has lots of light and I don't have any blackout curtains, just cheap white blinds, and I can still watch very comfortably. Of course it gets better at night. I didn't mount it or anything, just set it on a little table. Extremely easy. I can't believe I paid less than the cost of a TV for this.

We were purchasing this projector for an outdoor movie night for our 10 year olds birthday party. After reviewing several projectors, this had some really fine reviews in reference to image quality. So, we spent the extra $40 -$50. so worth it. The image was so sharp! The speaker was lacking, as the other reviews indicated. We just hooked up our own speakers and it was like being in a real movie or outdoor theater. 35 kids had a blast and so did the parents. We will do this over and over again. We also ran some old home movies converted to DVD. It is really fun. Worth every penny.

So far this projector works great. I use it for a screen that is 11 feet high and 15 feet wide. Outside setting with little surrounding lights. Bought nice blackout screen off internet and the result is that it looks like a real TV screen.

I had this projector now for over a month, and I am still amazed at my picture. I have set up 150 inch screen and picture looks HD even thought it is not. Last night we tested Avatar with 3D and it was great. I bought fairly inexpensive active glasses on Amazon (SainSonic Rainbow Series Black. For price this is crazy good.

My order arrived astonishingly fast, the projector was easy to set up, and the picture quality is fantastic. We have the sound running through a PA and speakers, and it's an instant home theater. I'm planning on buying a 3D blu-ray player next - we were watching football with a light on and fireplace going, and it was still as bright as the picture on our LCD TV in a room with ambient light.

At first I was kind of skeptical ...but I think doing my homework really helped me choose the best for my money. I think is perfect for a teacher ...the remote control is very practical...and the lumens definitely great for displaying it, even with the lights on. The fan for some people may be a little too loud...but I personally don't mind. I highly recommend it !

I bought this projector for my consulting business. It does very well with video fed from multiple sources and has great color, clarity and contrast. The only draw back to the unit is the internal speaker is not very good and I've had to consistently use external speakers run from my laptop via USB, even in smaller rooms.

After using this unit for quite sometimes (mostly for my babygirl's watching movies), I'd say it's below expectation (with regards to excellent reviews that I've read). The VGA output is somewhat clear (flickering at times), focus issue (at times), and HDMI output is not that crystal clear (hooking back my Blu Ray player to my HDTV), and it quickly becomes very hot. I don't know about the audio though, as I always prefer using my audio system.

I've had the Viewsonic for a couple of weeks now and could not be happier with the performance and quality picture. Everyone that comes over wants to buy one. I currently have it mounted on a Mustang projector mount -Mustang Low Profile Projector Mount (MV-PROJSP-FLAT-B) which really gets it out of the way. I also am shooting the picture onto a Mustang 105" projector screen.
The picture is sharp and gigantic! Even with widows open and ambient sunlight in the room the projector puts out a brilliant HD picture.
The 3D feature is pretty cool. I'm a Directv subscriber and there are now 3 3-D channels that look great. I bought the
SainSonic(TM) SSZ-200DLB 144Hz 3D IR Active Rechargeable Shutter Glasses and they work very well with the projector. The IMAX 3-D movies look awesome!!!
Overall I would highly recommend this projector. No kidding, everyone that sees it wants to buy one.

the entire wall as this one doesnt fill the wall but is very satisfactory to us. Picture quality and price is

We have been using this at our church for the past three weeks in larger and smaller settings. The only lack I note is that it doesn't have a USB capability for notebooks that lack a VGA hookup. The unit is bright, light, and easy to use even for the uninitiated. With an adapter, it works with Apple notebooks. This was a good purchase for us.

The only thing I can complain is that, there is no lens cover and the weak speaker,
It is a great projector. Great bright picture, works fine even in daytime.
The 3D is good but a little disappointed, but I don’t have another 3D projector to compare with.
It could be just as good as the others. The 3D Active shutter glasses are expensive and sold separately.
