Love the machine the picture is awesome. Hate the speaker in it can barely hear it. Have added an external speaker now we can hear it just fine

Amazing Projector. I wanted to buy a projector for theater experience at home. Then I got eye on this projector. First I thought SVGA (800 X 600) projector would not show proper crisp image, or should I go for XGA or WXGA resolution. But at the end I took a chance and bought it, considering the fact of cost. And wow!! I am happy to make that decision. Amazing clarity, the pictures are pixelated, but you will hardly notice it if you get engrossed in the movie. It does have 3.5mm audio o/p, to which I connect wireless sound bar via Bluetooth transmitter The 3D quality is also too good. I would definitely recommend it.

Great for connecting to a computer for training purposes. We use this in small offices for training. Connect as a second screen and display on the wall. No longer do you have to sit and squint over someones shoulder or reserve the large conference room with the built in large displays. Buy the bag with it for travel.

Bought this item as I had been curious about investing in a projector for some time. After a little more than a month, I still love it, great picture, super easy to set up and pretty affordable.

Works pretty good for a class I teach and can get really large size with fairly good lighting. I did not get any sound out of it when hooked up to a drawing tablet and laptop for demonstration so I hooked up small speakers to my laptop and had to change the laptop sound selection to external device in order to get the sound to come through the speaker. The projector seems to work okay. Some quirks (and probably because I did not know all of its capabilities). However, it lacks a better variety of video cables in the back.

Great item!! Couldn't believe the quality of the resolution. Definitely worth every penny! Easy set up for movie night in the back yard.

7. Nighttime use is as awesome as any LCD tv.
8. Daytime is really good even with a little light coming through the windows on the door and the shades. but when you open the door and shades and let all the light in at 2 in the afternoon it can be kinda hard to see but not toooo bad.
9. Played Black Ops 2, Amped, and MW3 and they were awesome with graphics and color.
10. Watched a bunch of movies already, a MUST SEE is Avatar. that is by far the best starter movie for your new projector. Awesome picture and colors.
Speaker-
1.Sucks, I have it hooked up to a 5.1 surround sound anyways, suggest you do the same
Construction-
1.It doesn't have that cheap "Made in China" feel like most electronics
2.Durable feeling
3.Light weight
4.Smaller than you would think, but I would say its a bonus.
5.The top, I thought was going to be a matte black but turns out to be glossy very high end look.
6.All ports seem to be very strong and sturdy, not like most electronics I've bought in the past.
Projection-
1. Has keystone setting (on the remote) to adjust the up and down angle/pitch caused by projecting from high or low. BUT no side to side keystone, so you will need to center it up to project as straight as possible otherwise you will have that angled to the side projection. Some people don't know better so its best to clarify.
2. Has the setting (on the remote) to be able the set up the projector upside down or right side up (for ceiling mounting) because the ceiling mount only mounts to the bottom of the unit so when its mounted to the ceiling it will be upside down.
3. You can zoom in the picture to fit your screen or to get the max screen size out of the unit using the turn dial on the unit
The largest I projected was 177'' from about 25 ft. inside onto a tan colored wall. It could have gone bigger but we were from living room wall to dining room wall. I didn't measure the distance just guestimated but I did measure the screen size and it was just as clear at that size than the size I normally project which is 105'' on a white pull down hd screen.
The unit does put off a little heat but that's because you have a 2700 lumen bulb lit inside. It does have a fan but it acts more like an exhaust fan to get rid of the heat in the housing than a cooling fan.
As for outdoor use, I saw someone asking about that, I think if your trying to use it at night it would be alright but during the daytime it might be a little hard to see. I haven't tried yet but will.
If there is anything I missed just ask and I will reply. Always up to helping people figure this stuff out.

Can't wait to watch the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals in my back yard on a 100" projection screen. Connected the ViewSonnic PJD5134 to a Wireless Uverse Receiver and plugged in the optical out from Uverse Receiver to Surround Sound System. The picture and sound blew me away.

I have been using this projector for about a month now. I have it hooked up to my xbox and direct tv through my receiver. The picture quality is great in my opinion. I have it to watch football on Sundays and movies/games off the Xbox.
Negatives: With a dvd on the Xbox I have noticed the screen pulses slightly dim at times. It's almost barely unnoticeable. I do have it hooked up in my basement with an extension cord though. I will try and report once it's plugged directly into the wall. Also if you look carefully you can see the pixels if you are a true VIDEOFILE looking for $4,000 projector quality this isn't for you. To the average person again it's barely noticeable. I have it projecting directly into a light gray wall with no boarder yet at about 12' and I believe the screen is about 80"-90". :)
Positives: I would definitely buy again! Well seen even in day light. Better at night or dim though. Great for the price

I'm blown away by how great this projector is. I'm one of the many who picked this up who plan to use it for family nights outside but so far it's getting a lot of use indoors. The picture is much better than the 47" tv in my living room. Games and movies, even streaming media looks sharp, even in a very bright room. I wanted to test out how it would look from a good distance so I held it up on one side of my bedroom and let it shine onto the wall in the adjoining living room wall. The picture was so large that it covered the entire wall, the image bleeding onto the floor a few feet as well. It still looked great from that distance.
The big increase in picture quality was when I pained the bedroom wall solid white. I've been meaning to paint anyway but the projector expedited the job for me. I considered a semi-gloss but played it safe and went with a flat paint instead. The prior wall color was sort of a moth. Switching to white made the picture dramatically more vivid.
Now on the the 3d. It's jaw dropping. I was confused as to what exactly I needed in order to get it to work but luckily I managed to get everything right. I'll write up my setup.
The active 3d glasses i purchased are the SainSonic Zodiac 904 Series bundle which comes with 4 pairs of glasses. I figured 4 sets would limit the amount of fighting over them. lol. I saw a link here on Amazon which also offered them in a 2 pack but I don't remember seeing them as a single purchase. I found them by typing PJD5134 glasses into the amazon search box in case it would be helpful to browse for something else...

Easy to set up and use. Projection images are crystal clear for any presentation. This performs better than most high end expensive models. This is a great buy !!!

We received this in one day. I use it for presentations and it works very well. We keep some of the lights on in the room and the picture is very clear. We also hung a sheet outside one night and watched a movie, once again the picture was great.

Happy with it, my kids use it with xbox, blu-ray, sat tv and apple tv, everything looks awesome. We hooked a Sony surround to it, sounds great now. Have our own home theater in the basement now. Bought the bracket to hold it in the ceiling- makes it so much easier than trying to find a stand for it that will clear everyone's head. Speakers on it stink- be prepared to buy a sound bar. Get an HDMI switching box so you can hook everything up with just one HDMI high speed cord to the projector. Save yourself a ton of frustrations.

Perfect projector for my needs, at 100 inches the picture looks crisp and clean. Perfect for gaming movies and tv. If you do purchase this projector, it's a good idea to have a receiver because you can't hear the stock speakers almost at all.

Based on our weekend use the unit does not heat up compared to our older model we used for several years and more input tools for newer gadgets.

We brought our down to Costa Rica and were impressed with the picture quality. Really happy with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive projector. We love it. I would like it to be a tad bit smaller and would have looked at the LED unit that is priced around $380 or so. Still we are 100% happy with this product.

Nice bright image for the money but beware long throw and weak sound. Specs: at 25' it produces an image of 117"x156" with 195" diag. (pretty huge) at 11' it produces about 4'x5.5' with 85"diag. I was looking for about 109" diag You measure from the lens to the screen btw. Sound is terrible. My phone sounds better and it just has a 1/8" output jack. So, you want to peel off the sound on the HDMI prior to getting to the projector with an amp with 3D pass through if you want 3D. It is a little bit loud on the fan but not bad if you are 3' away or more. It is light. If you are ok with its limitation have 18' to 30' to your screen, this should work well. It does have some image adjustment for adjusting it from too high or too low which is rare in this price range. I wouldn't use it for reading text.

This projector has so far been rock solid. I wish it were higher resolution, but I didn't buy the more expensive model, but I am very happy with it.

It gives very good picture quality. Compare to my cheap VVME V01(B), I can see the pixels clearly in my wall which I am not happy about it. Picture size is small from 18ft distance.It did not give me the movie theater experience instead I felt watching movie in big TV or computer screen. Also HDMI detection is not working sometimes. I had to disconnect and connect again. I need movie theater experience so I am returning it and going for other viewsonic projector.

This projector was not at all what I was expecting. The quality is poor and the remote does not really work. It has a blue tint on everything projected.
