This card was originally wonderful - it tested faster than a Class 10 from Kingston, so I sang its praises to everyone within earshot.Well, 5 months or so later, I was installing a new ROM onto my Nexus 1, and got many errors. I tried doing wipes upon wipes, to no avail. XDA members tried to help unbrick me, again, to no avail. Having given up on that phone, I used this card to replace a 4gb car in my "backup" phone. Well..that phone started freezing up every time I took a photo, couldn't cache songs from Slacker reliably, and even Swiftkey's language module was acting up.Lucky for me, this MicroSD started shifting to read-only before it completely died. I was able to do a complete backup, and my Nexus 1 is now working great, with a Sandisk Class 2 (which is somehow way faster) instead.If anyone is wondering- The item was direct from Amazon, and I verified that it is authentic- I tried contacting Transcend tech support, and WOW are they beyond worthless! The hold times were 40+ minutes the first time I called (ended up hanging up), and 25+ the next time I called a few days later (also hung up). When I did get through, the human operator said they would send me an RMA email, but ended up sending me some generic message about checking the "lock" switch on the card (SD cards have lock switches, but MicroSD doesn't!).I'm a huge Android fan, but incidents like this make me slightly appreciate Apple's keep it simple (at a rather large cost, of course) philosophy. I can't imagine Joe User trying to figure out why their camera won't work or how frustrated they would be if the card wiped everything out for good.

I received the Transcend micro sd card along with my GPS unit. As soon as I installed the sd card, I got a message to format it. After multiple attempts, I contacted Ascend via email. I subsequently followed the reps email instructions including the instruction to make sure the sd card was installed correctly (duh!). The rep concluded that the sd card was an out-of-box failure and instructed me to return the unit for a replacement. There were specific orders to follow to a "T" or the warranty would be voided. 3 weeks later I received a form letter and my original sd card stating it was not covered under warranty because of damage. On principle alone, I decided to continue with these people. The only person I could get on the phone who could speak English clearly was the receptionist and she was quick to transfer my call before I completed my description of the problem. I would be transferred to an extension, leave a message and wait for a return call which only occurred half the time. I actually spoke to two different people would look up the associated RMA number on the computer and quickly tell me that damage was not covered under warranty in broken English. I described the sequence of events and was told I would get a call back after investigstion which NEVER happened. Finally, I got the company's general manager on the phone. He assured me that he would look into the situation and get back to me either through email or the phone. I'm still waiting.The bottom line is that their idea of customer service is the run-around.

I bought this in May 2010, and out of the blue, my phone said that the memory card isn't working and needs to be reformatted.Tried to format it in my computer, and kept crashing, and dragging files would create "not responding".Didn't add or remove any files for the last 4 months.Card went bad, and there is nothing I can do to recover, reformat this thing, or save my files.Never had a memory card go bad before.

I purchased the "retail packaging" version of this card a few months ago and it works great. So I just purchased another one of these cards but this time got the Amazon bulk packaging, and this second one appears to be a fake. Comparing the two, the printing on the cards is a little different and in any case the second card will not format and is not recognized by my device. Stick with the retail packaging.

I bought this microSD card to go in my T-Mobile 665. I inserted the chip and it read it immediately. The phone created its default folders in a flash and I have no complaints. Couldn't have been easier. Will definitely use this brand again.

The microsd card seems to be working as it should, however the adapter stopped working after about two months. My computers will not pick it up at all. Thankfully the camera I am using it in supports direct connect via usb.

The sd cards are just what I ordered. They were very inexpensive and claimed to be class 6 so I was a little leery, but they are as advertised. I bought the cards for my android phone and they have been very fast. I actually have noticed some speed improvements from the original 2gb cards that shipped with the phone. Good product.

I bought this card to use in my ATT F160 cell phone. It works beautifully in this phone. On this card I've created multiple folders for pictures, video, and music. I've copied quite a bit of content from my PC to it. All such content can be displayed (or played) on my F160 phone. Of course any content obtained directly with the phone can also be stored on the card and/or copied or moved to my PC. The card is very fast. It is an excellent card at an excellent price. Several years ago I bought a similar memory card from Transcend for my Canon digital camera. It has (and continues to) worked flawlessly; it has recording several thousand high-def pictures and some video. So I'm very pleased with both of these Transcent cards.I did have to buy a card reader to use the 'phone' card because my phone does not connect properly via a USB 2.0 data cable; no drive letter established on the PC to access the card while in the phone. This is a problem of the F160 phone, not of the card. To allow data transfers I bought the Transcend P5 9-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader TS-RDP5K. This card reader works fine with this card.

When purchasing a new memory card for various electronic devices, there is always that little bit of fear that it may not be compatible, so I mainly wanted to write this review to reflect my experiences with it in my htc EVO 4G.My EVO came stock with an 8 GB class 2 microSD card. While it seemed to work great, I noticed a small problem after shooting some test video in 720 HD: Occasionally the video would freeze. Thinking it may be a playback issue on the phone, I copied the video over to my PC and the video freezes were in the same place. My conclusion was simple: The memory card simply couldn't write the HD data fast enough.I don't really listen to music on my EVO (MP3s), nor do I typically watch a lot of videos on it either. But I wanted to know that should something come up where I wanted to record a video in HD, it would do a decent job at it. After shooting a couple 5 minute videos with the new memory card, I was happy to see that there were no freezes in the video, so for that I am happy. Will a faster memory card magically turn a cell phone into a professional video camera? Of course not. While it no longer freezes, it is still pretty typical cell phone video (particularly prone to motion blur) albeit probably better quality than many other cell phone videos (but that is the phone's hardware, not the memory card).I had heard that a class 4 card would do the job as well, and I actually originally ordered a class 4 card from a different manufacturer but what I received was an empty box from the post office (no kidding, and it even had a USPS sticker on it stating that *they* received it unsealed). Hey, what can I say? it's a memory card it does what it does and it does it right! Got it 2 years ago and it's still working nicely, I bought it for a samsung camera but the camera got broken and now i use it as a flash drive!

I never had problems with this brand of memory cards. The card is fast and very reliable. As a side note, I use micro sdhc cards with a card reader instead of usb sticks now. I found that over the years my USB sticks usually break at the tip because of every day use. So when that happens I lose what is on the stick (usually just a backup of something), so no big deal. My usb stick has a 10 year warranty, but I'm tired of this happening. Now if my card reader's tip breaks, not a problem. I also have a spare at home and I don't lose anything on the card. It is one extra thing to carry, but it is worth it. Also, when I'm taking pictures with my digital camera someone always asks me for the pictures. Now I just pull out my card reader, pop in the SD card and transfer the pictures I just took to someone's laptop or desktop computer.

Of all the different memory cards I've used in the past this mini was perhaps the crappies, I waited a week for its delivery needing it for a tablet and was very disappointed with it, it would not even open with any computer in my home, I even took one from my phone and tried it just to be sure my reader was functioning correctly, that experience has turned me off from future purchases of this brand.But I was very satisfied that Amazon who warranted the performance of the product and promptly handled my complaint, returning all of my money after I sent it back.Thank You Amazon

I have used this card both directly and with the adapter. It works great, and the speeds are fine for keeping up with HD video camera demands. This is a name brand memory that you can trust, and it is a good value for the money.

I bought this card for the sole purpose of running Android on the Nook Color. Several other people said it worked. Well, it does work, but very slowly. The reason is because the random write performance of this card is 0.012 MB/s, which causes Android to stutter and hang. In contrast, the flash memory built into the Nook Color has a random write speed of 1.16 MB/sec, or about 100 times faster than this SD card. So this card is horrible for running Android. See the complete performance list at:<...>You can also read about another person who had a similar experience with another brand:<...>Now here's the good news. If you are doing sequental reads or sequential writes, which is what a camera needs, the performance of this card for both reading and writing is over 20 MB/sec (which theoretically makes it a Class 20 card. However, this was tested on a computer with a fast i5 processor, so your camera will probably not come close to this speed.Note that there's a company on Amazon that sells a high-performance 8GB SD card with Android already loaded:N2A Cards - 8GB microSD Card

The Class 6 accesses my photos, music, and apps (installed on the SD) much faster than with the other card. 8GB is also quite an upgrade from 2GB, so now I don't have to worry about my pictures and music filling up the card.The Frustration Free Packaging is also nice... Amazon could really help some companies with their packaging!
