I seem to have the worst luck with electronic components fulfilled by Amazon. Mine is the 16GB version, class 6. Just to assure your readers, yes, I know my way around these micro SDHC units, with or without their adaptors.The unit came in a poly container with an adapter. First thing out of the box I placed the card into the included adapter and loaded it into my workhorse computer to format it. After 3 minutes of not getting the device to register, I fished out an adapter from another maker and tried the card in that. Still no luck.I loaded my universal card reader on a USB2 port and tried to access it that way. No response. Not even a recognition from the computer that a card was inserted. Got the "Please insert a disk into drive G..." pop-up window. Reseated the card, pulled the USB cable and reinserted it... nothing.Moved the whole business over to a backup computer. Tried again, with and without the USB reader, with and without the included adapter. Still no luck.I pulled the micro SDHC cards from my 4 devices that use them. Plugged them into the included adapter, plugged the adapter into my computer's built-in reader.Bingo! All 4 work just fine. 3 of the 4 are 16GB Class 6. The other is 4GB and I was intending to upgrade it to 16GB Class 6 with this purchase.The other 3 16GB that work in my existing devices are S*ndisk. Never had any problem with them. This one, however, is absolutely dead.I'm not pointing the finger at this manufacturer. When I buy components from Amazon I have about a 30% failure rate upon arrival, especialy for those that ship from Las Vegas, as this one did. It's probably a storage/handling problem.I should have known better, so don't assume there's really a problem with this particular card. Then again, all my S*ndisks were purchased through Amazon and they work. Hmmm...

I purchased this card to use in my new #14 HD key chain video camera. I plan to use the camera mostly for videos from my RC plane. The first Transcend card I got had a consistent chirpy/squeeky noise on playback (kinda like a squeeky wheel). The video was clean however. I requested a replacement. Amazon's supplier quickly sent one and I returned the old one as defective. Unfortunately the replacement card has the same defect and it is supposed to be a class 6 quality! Instead, I decided to use my old 4 GB class 4 Sandisk (also purchased through Amazon) in the new key chain video camera. The Sandisk plays perfectly. Using the Transcend class 6 card in my Tracfone, it works fine, even in audio, so I'll not complain further. I have read a few other reviews that indicate this Transcend Micro SD has the same audio problem for others. I think I will stick with Sandisk from now on.

I bought this as an "impulse buy" when Amazon fed it to me when I purchased a new Olympus VN-702PC Voice Recorder. Hey, it's an SD card and the price was right. (Beats Fry's Electronics.) As long as it holds data and is reliable, I'm happy.It came pre-formated as FAT32, which I'd expect.I haven't tested it for speed, so I don't know whether it's really Class 6 or not. I read the manufacturer's specs, and Transcend says it has "wear leveling" circuitry, so it should last a long time. We'll see. (FWIW, it've blown a flash drive out before in the winter with static electricity. (Or "ESD" as we call it in the trade.) Hard to protect against that as a manufacturer.)I'm leaving this review primarily to tell you that it didn't come with the RecoveRx software that the Transcend part of the Amazon sell page says it comes with. Not even a hint about it in the sale brochure stuff in the "frustration-free" packaging. I dug around using a search engine and found Rx v 1.5 (Nov 2011) on Transcend's website. (When I searched for it on Transcen's website proper, all I got were hits for sales brochures. Not the actual download.) I expect one of the free tools (like Recuva) will work just as well to recover data too.In the Rx zip file is also an executable called "Protector." Apparently some kind of encryption program. I didn't try it.

This was my third try to find a fast micro SDHC card for use in my new Optoma PK201 Pico Pocket Projector, which unexpectedly turned out to have a memory limit of 16GB.I've had good luck with Transcend SD cards from Amazon before, so after two larger capacity and higher speed SD cards failed to work in the Optoma and had to be returned, I chose to go with it, trusting its claim to work with all SDHC devices.Turned out to be a good choice at a good price, received in frustration-free packaging less than 18 hours after I ordered it via Amazon Prime 2 day shipping. Class 6 isn't quite as fast as Class 10 alternatives, but I'm not noticing any slowdown in using it on the Optoma compared to the also excellent but more costly Sandisk Class 10 45Mb/S non-micro 32GB SDHC card I also bought recently for use in the Sony DSC-RX100 20.2 MP Exmor CMOS Sensor Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom.Definitely recommended.

Package arrived before estimated date. Class 6 speed rating. With all the new technology and devices these days, you need a class 6 or higher speed rating for your devices. I ordered two of these class 10 cards with good results-- as expected.I use one in a tiny video camera as an upgrade to allow for greater video storage on a single battery charge (the card with which it was equipped would fill before the camera battery was expended). This card also provides for quicker uploads from the camera (being a faster class 10 replacing a class 6).I use the other micro (in its supplied standard SD adapter) for my netbook Window's 7 system's "ReadyBoost." Reboot or wake from hibernate is very fast as a result, and my machine accepts punishing workloads easier than when I used a 2 GB class 4 SD card. I understand that anything faster than class 6 and anything larger than 4GB will work, but with no increase in performance. However, it is convenient to have a fast 8GB storage device always available which I can eject and use in an emergency.I also appreciate the clear markings, making it easy for me to keep up with my small collection. They work fine.

It worked for 2 months and then stopped working altogether. I tried formatting, and installed special software too, but no effect. I lost a lot of important photos and files that I had stored on this microSD card. I feel that Transcend has cheated me.

I was looking for a reasonably priced and reliable microSDHC Class 6 memory card. After reviewing different brands and web sites. I decided to go with Transcend. I am very happy with my choice. The adapter that comes with the card is a very nice bonus, it helps me connect the card to my computer. I reformatted the card multiple times (reasons unrelated to the card)and used it with different electronics (phone, tablet and computer), it is very responsive and fast. It is good card, for my purposes I needed 4 GB but there are higher capacity versions available. I would recommend this memory card.

This memory card allowed me to record much more on my video camera than if I had just using the internal memory. It gives me the confidence that I still have enough room for more recordings.
