I've gone through 3 different headsets before this one mostly from Logitech. Each one took a while to get used to as well as find a comfort level since they were behind the neck style headsets. This headset is the first over the head headset I've had and it's incredibly comfortable straight out of the box. The sound in the headphones is excellent. I play a lot online and use Ventrillo. The sound quality from the mic is excellent. I think I've found my headset finally. Now hopefully, my cat won't eat this one.[Update]Still have this headset and love it. It was well worth the price I paid for it. It has proven to be a sturdy little thing as well. I can't count how many times I've nearly sat on this. The noise cancellation is superb. My poor husband has to resort to tossing paper clips at me to get my attention when I'm playing or listening to music.

So far this headset is basically one of the best headsets that you can buy. It is a heavy duty investment (money wise) for a headset but if you are a serious gamer DO IT. This headset is far more durable than any piece of garbage that's under $90 so far. Its very adjustable, so comfortable that after wearing it for over 5 hours its still amazing. The mic is in the perfect location for great pickup and non annoyance.Sound quality: Absolutely spectacular. When you listen to music or any high quality sound through the headset it moves you because its so clear. Also it has a little bit of rumble/vibration to make some sounds feel realistic.I must say this is the best headset I have ever had and I sure hope nothing goes wrong with it because it is a bit of money. So always be careful!GREAT BUY 5 stars. I wonder if it has a warranty :)

A nicely made headset, gives and gets great sound, too, and they're comfortable to wear for extended periods. In fact, I sometimes forget I have them on. These are great for Scype or other Voip telephone calls but they handle music, TV, and movies just as well. Great value!

This is easily the best headset I have ever purchased. I just replaced an AudioFX Pro (Ben Heck Edition) with this headset, and other than the force feedback that was provided with the AudioFX, this headset blows it out of the water. The microphone is ultra clear, so much so that I have been told I sound like I am in the room with people when I talk to them over Ventrilo. The headset is incredibly lightweight and doesn't really fatigue your ears or head to wear for long periods mostly thanks to the complete circumaural ear cups.All in all, this headset is worth the money you will spend on it. A little out of the price range for some, but if you can make it happen, I suggest you do.Edit: I'd like to add to this review as new information is slightly relevant. A cat decided that chewing through my microphone cable was a good idea. I have since RMA'd this headset to Sennheiser and with Eighty Dollars am receiving a brand new set to replace the broken. Quick RMA service through Sennheiser direct and I'm satisfied with getting a new headset to replace the old.

It didn't sit well on my head. I had to readjust it every 20 minutes. I couldn't move or it would pop out. Good sound though.

These are not closed headphones, after you let them burn in they will sound solid. The fit is not a solid, but a look ahead don't move fit. I have the 595's and these are just not closed enough for me to want to switch to them.

Very solid headset, yet very light. Comfortable for very long periods of time. Very good sound quality - you won't find yourself tweaking an EQ or fiddling with your sound card driver to get it to sound good like a lot of other supposedly high quality headphones. The microphone quality is good and it's easy to bend it to where you want it; also, it's thick/sturdy enough to just grab and pull down or push up without much effort. My only gripe would be that the volume control is a bit small and isn't that easy to adjust on the fly, but that isn't a big issue for me.All around a very good headset and well worth the money, especially if you *need* an actual headset with a microphone, e.g. for gaming.

I bought these in May 2009 for an attempt at voice over recording for video productions. I have been purchasing Sennheiser (Germany) products for over 30 years. Remarkable sound reproduction from the headphones. Clear distinct bass, mid range and highs. Sennheiser's are the best I have heard though I confess I have never listened to music through a set of Bose headphones.The boom microphone voice reproduction is not perfect, but acceptable. The limitations being heard on large powerful floor standing speakers. In normal every day use (gaming, computers, etc.) they are very good. For the price and the performance features indeed I would purchase another pair.Amazon's shipping and customer service is great as always.

Great brand, decent price, comfortable to wear long hours, work on internet phone for 8 hours a day and it does a great job, sound quality good, people can hear me good, would have liked volume control on set, but not that big a deal, would buy this brand again

The sound quality of it is good enough for me (I'm not professional at all, neither do I play games). But it really hurts your ears if putting on for about more than two hrs. My head is not big at all but I wear glasses. Other aspects are all good enough considering the price.

I need this for simultaneous interpreting and it doesn't plug into any of the consoles we use in the interpreting booths, so i cannot try it out as yet. I ordered a cable through you (seller, antonline), but i haven't been able to use it either since it arrived after i left new york for a few weeks.....hopefully i will be able to try it out in october and then give you my review...

I bought these 2 months ago, was really eager to get them. It took a while to recieve them but they were in one piece. They are confortable even if the first few time you wear them the vinyl pad can be bothering. The sound is awesome but could probably be matched by a cheaper headphone. The closed-aureal is great for sound dampering but it is quite disturbing when you have to use the microphone as you will tend to speak louder and probably bother the people around if there is any. Speaking of which the microphone is cristal clear on ventrillo or Teamspeak. However be aware that without a quality sound card you will not get the best of these. I personnaly have an external low end sound card and I'm pretty sure the output quality could be better especialy from the bass.Pros :ConfortableAwesome sound damperingCristal clear microphone sound inputGreat sound outputSolidly madeCons :Expensive;Bass poor;Too much dampering leading to speaking louder when using the mic;Stereophonic so there is no 5.1 sound;Vinyl pads can be bothering the first few days;For audiophil gamer mostly.Conclusion: You can't go wrong with these sennheiser. However not going wrong comes at a price. You would probably be better with the PC160 serie 4 out of 5.

It didn't take me long to realize that sound quality on these is horrible. I know other reviews say "You have to get use to the Sennheiser sound" but there is no way these sound as nice as even my cheapo ear buds.The sound was all in the treble. I listed to streaming music from Pandora as well as a collection of mp3s. There was no bass, even if I tried to fiddle with equalizer settings. I cannot imagine that someone purchasing these for a video game or for music would ever get used to this sound.The mic worked fine, but then it is a wired mic with a boom and I would expect it to.

Did a little research and settled on the Sennheiser. I had one before and enjoyed it but I thought I'd check what else was around. In short I did not find anything else that I felt was comperable. Is it expensive, Yes. Is the sound great, Yes.

I have had several sets of headphones over the years and these are by far the best i have ever had. the sound is crisp and i can go as load as i want with no and i repeat no distortion. The quality is studio grade and other than the fact that if you wear them for more than 5 hours straight your ears start to sweet a bit i have no complaints. ive been doing alot of gaming lately and have gone through 3 sets in the last year alone and decided to spend the money on a good pair and these are the real deal.so dont waist your money on a cheap set thats only goin to last a year at the most and not be as good as these, i can even set them for stereo or 5.1 surround, do yourself a favor especially if your a gamer buy this headset.

The sound quality is fine but a tad on the soft side. I really have to turn my computer volume on pretty high in order to hear others speaking. When I speak, others say it is very loud so I've had to adjust those settings. Lastly the cushions over the ears are a tad small so after continued use it begins to press against your ears. If it was a tad bigger it would fit perfectly over the ears. Overall though, not bad for the price.

I never review things on amazon, but these were so awful, I just had to. I shopped around for so long, finally decided on these, and after trying them, i was super disappointed. Pressure on my head was immense, these suckers feel like they weight 20 lbs, and it just feels like you have a huge piece of plastic in your head. No comfort feel whatsoever. Sound was fine, but who cares how good the sound is when you can't stand to wear them??? Sending them back now.

These are excellent headphones, both in construction quality and sound quality. They are comfortable for long sessions, and the tonal quality and dynamic range are impressive. The earpieces set on the ear, not around them, but are very comfortable. The noise-cancelling feature works very well; those listening on internet chat say the sound quality is excellent, with no static or stray noises.My first pair had a defective microphone, Amazon replaced it within two days with a fine working replacement.The microphone is not powered and my Intel Mac requires a powered microphone in the Mic Input jackslot. I had to acquire a USB adaptor, but then it worked perfectly. These do not come with a USB plug, only mini-jacks.All in all I am very satisfied with these and would highly recommend them.

For the price the gripes I have are moderate, nothing terrible. Sound quality is excellent, beyond excellent. I have a very nice speaker system, and had a Creative Fatal1ty Professional headset prior to this one, and the sounds from this is superior to either. The mic quality is also very very good. Only pitfalls: positioning the unit on my head took some tweaking to get -just right-, the wires seem too flimsy for my liking, and the in line volume control doesn't lower volume to the point of muting the headset. Considering these complaints, this will probably be my headset of choice for a while. Comfort is very good as well, and coming from a person with a big head, that's essential. Great buy.

I've had trouble with many different headsets because of how deep my voice is. No matter how the mic was positioned, or how high the input volume, I had to yell to be heard. This headset, on the other hand, picks up my voice with no problem. The great sound quality is an added bonus.

I love this product. Fantastic quality and comfortable. It works with my PC and my Xbox 360 (with adapter). I used to have the Astro Gaming headphones, and they do not compare. I can't see myself ever using another pair of headphones.

I'd like to start off by saying that I've had this headset for about a year. The sound quality is awesome. The headphones are secure against the side of your head, but don't even touch your ears. This is the first headset I've ever been able to wear for hours without any discomfort at all.The cord is also very sturdy. I've run over it a few times with my computer chair and even got it caught in the wheels a few times and the cord wasn't damaged at all.The mic works well even though I only use it once in a while. It can be moved out the way when you're just using the headphones.The only problem is the in-line volume control as mentioned before. lowering it all the way only brings the volume down to about 50 percent. If you just adjust the computer volume to where you want it, you shouldn't have to adjust it very much anyway.Overall, I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality headset.

This headset focuses on voice clarity and speech recognition. The resulting sound has a harsh, empty, cold signature lacking bass. Excellent mic. Very comfortable. You'll have no problem wearing these for extended sessions. Convenient line volume limiter.If it's available to you, I'd recommend the Beyerdynamic MMX300. While it doesn't come with a line volume limiter built in, and the mic has a tiny bit more line noise the headphone aspect is above and beyond what the PC350 can produce. The MMX300 is also very comfortable.I own both and use the MMX300 for regular and home use while keeping the PC350 around for competitive use like LAN parties and tournaments.Testbed auditions performed using an ASUS Xonar D2X and the Beyerdynamic USB soundcard.

This headset has great sound and high quality microphone. People I regularly chat with on Skype and Ventrilo were very surprised in the new voice quality from my end. I was using a mid-range Plantronics headset before that was also decent but this headset is a couple levels ahead in quality. And for the price tag, you should expect that.Update - 2 years later I am STILL using this same headset! Great sound and mic quality still, nothing has broken and I use this nearly everyday. Superb durability and quality.

I love these. Although the bass response isn't as "Dr. Dre" as I hoped, it's as close as it gets. The microphone is excellent for in-game and Skype. I get compliments all the time that I sounds as good as in-person. The headphones are comfortable and do a good job isolating sounds. 90% of what I get from the Bose set I see on TV so frequently. If you heave the means, this is the way to go.

The mic and sound from these are fantastic, but the cord is infuriating. It is almost impossible to stop it from kinking and binding. A ten foot long cord as a selling point is only nice when it doesn't halve its length by curling in on itself.

This headset is the most amazing headset I have ever used. My roommate bought this highly recommended, by friend of his who works in a recording studio. I have since "liberated" the headphones from my roommate. The headphones are basically noise canceling, even without being plugged in, allowing you to have the volume lower. The sound quality of both the mic and the speakers is excellent. I would recommend these to anyone who can afford them.

What can I say about this headset? Well, I had them on last night for SIX HOURS on a Skype internet conference call and after all that time my ears were not sore. My brain was a little sore but not my head or ears. In other words they are EXTREMELY comfortable! The audio is great and I sounded the same to the other people on the call. Very clear and distinct. It also works very well in cancelling out noise. Plus they're Sennheisers, a highly respected brand and reasonably priced.I'm very, very satisfied and I definately recommend this item!

I bought these after reading several reviews about how good these were. Well they aren't. My Bose tri-port headphones (TP-1A) sound better and are more comfortable. Don't but these buy the Bose and a standalone mic.

Sound is very clear. I'm told the mic is excellent (can't hear myself obviously). These are far nicer than your average gaming headset but not quite audiophile headphones. The ear cups are a bit strangely shaped, but I've played in them for long periods of time without discomfort so I can't really complain. My only complaint is the price. They are very nice, but I'm not sure if they deserve the pricing they command.

Great headset, audio is clear and the microphone works beautifully. The mike is not fixed like it may look on the picture, you bend it closer/further from your face as you wish. Comes with on/off switch for the microphone and inline volume adjustment.

Alerted by an earlier customer review and finding no specific info in the published specs, I asked Amazon's dedicated specialist if this headset came with a 2.5mm connector with which to connect wireless and cell phones. He informed me "yes". This info was wrong; and when I contacted Amazon for guidance about connecting it, Amazon was clueless and simply invited me to return the unit.Having been a satisfied Sennheiser customer I was confident that Sennheiser would be responsive, so I tried to contact Sennheiser for guidance. After being directed to multiple email contacts and losing several weeks after my last inquiry, I received Sennheiser's email response simply specifying a product number for their proprietary adaptor. The process had been an ordeal and the adaptor's cost was not trivial.I returned the unit to Amazon. and I hope to require no support for the several other Sennheiser products I have recently purchased. Obviously, Sennheiser products are no longer on my preferred list and I have lost confidence in Amazon's dedicated product specialts.

Using mere on-board Realtek ALC850 audio, this headset has fabulous quality sound for gaming, and is no slouch for music. Bass is NOT bad at all. Mic works perfectly with no amplification. Super comfortable and lightweight. Quality is evident throughout.The equal quality packaging can be opened in seconds, non-destructively, following a simple diagram on the bottom of the box. It too, is a keeper.

The quality of my Skype calls have improved tremendously using this headset. Audio is incredible and microphone quality is clear. The speakerphone I had been using for Skype calls was so bad that I had almost abandoned using Skype. With this headset, I can keep using Skype without any problems.

Lots of things I like about this headset:- very good sound quality (about what I'd expect at this price)- very high quality microphone- super durable build- earphones pivot to give it a slim profile in your bag if you take it on the go- relatively comfortable- long cord with inline volume and mic-mute.The price has gone down with many vendors lately and considering what it now costs and how good of a headset it is, I would venture to say it's a pretty good deal. Still quite expensive, but in my mind it's the top gaming headset on the market right now.

I've owned mine now for about a year. I've owned several different brands over the years. I use mine in flight combat simulators. This is, by far, the best I've ever experienced.The sound is well balanced. Nice balance of base and treble tones. I can hear things clearly.The microphone is crisp and clean. I've never had any complaints from others when I've used it in games. Always get compliments.Love the inline volume control and on/off switch.They are very light weight, the ear pieces are comfortable. I've worn mine for extended periods of time and sometimes don't remember I'm wearing them.

Pros: This headset is durable, has the best sound quality of all the headsets I've owned (about 10) by far, has gread comfort on the head because it circumvents the entire ear, and everyone on vent says my mic sounds increadibly clear.Cons: The price. It is an expensive headset to be sure.Thoughts: It is definitly worth the price in my estimation, the headset feels and sounds like a $150 headset. You get what you pay for, in a good way.

it's tru the bass is a bit lacking, it won't rattle the headphones off of your head but I feel it's a fair compromise given the clarity of the highs and mid range. that's why your getting this headset, not because you want thumping bass but because you want to be able to distinguish your vent convo over every shot and explosion no matter what. this is by far the most comfortable headset I've ever had. Never have I felt fatigued or needed to take them off even after hours of gameplay!

I bought this headphone mainly for speaking with friends over the Internet. This is a convenient device that allows me to move about a few feet around while speaking. A desktop microphone does not allow me to do this unless I take the microphone with me, which is not practical.The sound quality is very good for the price. I often use it to listen to music.

All that needs to be said is that Sennheiser is the best. The sound quality is amazing for the price. Spend just a little bit more than some of the other mainstream brands and you will be glad you did. My last pair of Sennheisers lasted me 5 years. I would still have them had I not rolled my computer chair over the cables...lesson learned! I can wear these for hours and they are light as a feather. The mic is superb. Gaming sessions have me looking over my shoulder at times thinking there is something in the room with me. Music is just amazing. The range is excellent. Stop reading reviews and just buy these already.

Mine came and the sound quality was great. it canceled out a lot of noise around me. but my mic was not working when i received it so i was a bit dissapointed. But overall very comfortable i wear it to go sleep while listening to music and i dont feel it at all which is a plus.

What can I say? Finally a quality pair of headphones and a mic put together. Works great for gaming and about everything else I've used it for. Not sure why some people had problems, after mine were used for a few days, they sounded great and the mic worked perfectly. I suppose some bad ones slipped through.
