Bought a second to keep around as a spare because it works so well. Long cable, no nonsense hook-up, clear as crystal audio and mic. Can't go wrong with this price. If you have young kids or pets that like to chew your stuff though, pass on this, it needs to be treated well. A friend rolled over the long cable with their chair and it went pfft.

Brief and to the point. I bought this to replace a gaming headset. It wasn't satisfying, compared to the 7.1 simulated surround sound I was used to. But it worked superbly as a STEREO gaming headset. I still use it, but not for gaming. Music never sounded any better!

Bought these for my grandson for XMas. He is very pleased-says they can eliminate all the noise and help him concentrate on his game or studies. He prefers this brand because there is no static or buzzing in the background,

I had to return it because the connectors did not fit some of my devices. The reach was to long and the wires on the headset were flimsy. The sound quality was good but because of the poor connector connection in some cases the sound was completely cancelled out.

Decent set (not surprising its Sennheiser) for computer use...sounds a bit boomy but that could be from the computer itself. I started using the equalizer settings for Media Player and that has helped some.We have not used the microphone yet, so no review on it.I read other reviews where folks said their ears hurt after several hours of use. I concur and thats why I've knocked it down to four stars. If I move them around it helps but if your a Pandora fan like I am and your wife is a college sports 'Freak' they get the job done but not like a set of Sennheiser 'HD's. After all, they are less than 30.00 I got mine for under 25.00.

I was not a fan of these from day one, mainly because the design of the ear phones is awkward and uncomfotable. Sound quality was pretty good, but after only 6 months , the microphone is borked!So its basically a waste as a gaming headset......

While I am not a big fan of mega size headphones - this one has certainly won my heart.I listened to a variety of songs on my iphone and I can hear certain instruments and sound which I had not heard/not very prominent on my iphone headset.What is that I like about this ? - Good fit - fits nice and snug around the ears - Crystal clear sound and chimes frequencies that you cannot hear in regular headsets - Fits very well on iPhone and other mobile devices that support 3.5" jack (cannot use mic, but you can only use the speakers) - Nice carry case !

I had been using a Logitech ClearChat Comfort/USB Headset headset for years, and was very happy with it. Unfortunately it started dying - people could only hear the middle of words, not the beginning or end - and tweaking didn't fix it. I ordered another, but they had a bad hum. I'm not the only one who has had this problem, per online discussions. I don't know why the earlier version doesn't hum and the later version does.I decided to keep the Logitech set as backup, but ended up ordering this Sennheiser headset based on the reviews.I use Skype for customer interviews. The sound quality is fantastic, much better than even the first Logitech set I had.Unfortunately, while they are lighter than the Logitech set, the ear pieces are nowhere near as comfortable. They feel a lot like the cheap headsets that airlines offer. I'm still adjusting, so I may get used to them, but I do miss the high quality of the Logitech ear pieces, with plenty of padding and a very secure fit.I agree with other reviewers about the cord, as well - it's very thin.

I use this headset for personal use on Skype. It is the best headset Ive ever owned.The noise canceling microphone is awesome! No one is telling me to turn down the TV..they cant hear it!No static noises..clear as can be!I would highly recommend this headset.Price was perfect for what I use it for.Fits comfortably on my head..it does NOT fall off if I move!

I was so excited when i put on the headset and started listening to my friends talk while gaming. They felt superb and extremely comfortable (which they do feel like). But the major flaw is the microphone. I don't know if it was just me, but the mic was completely terrible and made me sound scratchy and robotic. I would recommend this product probably just for listening to music, but if you're trying to talk to people or go on long skype calls it just won't do.Pros- Comfortable, Great SoundCons- Terrible Mic, Seems Flimsy

I bought two of these long time ago, for a friend and me. Although I liked the sound quality very much, my head started to ache when I had the headset several minutes on. This was not because the pressure at all, I think it was a kind of electromagnetic stuff. I felt the headache just under the line of the headset structure over the head (where the wire goes). My friend happened to feel the same headache. So sadly, I threw mine away.

I'm redoing my son's room, he's into internet gaming and Skype. This headset not only has the signature Sennheiser quality, but a nice long cord and seperate headphone/microphone jacks. It is a simple set, BUT it is Sennheiser.No kore needs to be said.

Like others have mentioned, the headphones can be very uncomfortable, eventually I grew accustomed to it but at first they were very uncomfortable on my ears, probably because they're supra-aural, as opposed to circumaural, and heavy.The cup controls are really cool and useful for volume/mic control at first but the mic boom slowly started to cause problems for me. At first it would take a couple of switches up and down to get the mic to turn on before it became a huge pain, having to switch the mic up and down several times before it worked. Eventually, the mic quality started to go as well until it stopped working entirely. Sometimes people would tell me there was a high pitched whirring noise in my mic as well.The sound quality was always crisp and clean, good bass, etc. I never had a problem with the audio output, it's the usual Sennheiser standard. I also never had issues with the volume control like I did with the mic.Overall, it's a uncomfortable headset with great audio quality but a poor mic in one way or another. Probably not worth the full price.

If you want to see this headset in better detail there is a pretty new video of it on youtube: [...]This is a great sounding headset, and so far very comfortable. To get the most out of this headset I strongly recommend a good soundcard, and I don't mean for just listening! I orginally plugged this into a setup that apparently had a very bad microphone input. I switched over to a decent X-Fi Gamer card and the mic sounds great! I also own a set of PC360's that were quite a bit cheaper, honestly it's kinda a toss up. If you don't care about submersion or you want to hear yourself talk then go with the PC360's.

Sound is excellent even without the proprietary drivers provided with the device, worked right out of the box even on a Linux computer running Ubuntu 12.10. I have yet to hear the full potential of this device, but they have met my expectations over all. Should have gotta a Bluetooth headset though I prefer cordless.

These are great, simple headphones with a great microphone and a great price. I've been using it for a year now with no problems. I've made many recordings and Skype calls without any issues or complaints about sound quality. The cord is really long, so much so that I tie most of it up with a rubber band.

I haven't used these with a game yet and I'm absolutely in love.I do presentations online, record lessons, skype, and generally work quite a lot with a set of headphones on while I'm working. These are some seriously high-end, comfortable, top performing headphones.Getting them working didn't require any software install at all (although, yes, if you want get some of the more nuanced control that you can apply to them, you'll need that software). I plugged them in and was off. I've used them a lot. Unlike many headsets I've worn, I tend to forget I'm wearing them. In fact, I almost ruined them by walking away from the computer while they were still on my head. They were yanked off, but I caught them before they could shatter on the floor. The little volume adjuster on the side is excellent.I initially was using them with a PC but I've recently tried them on a new Macbook Pro. They worked great there too (although more experimenting is required here).

They may not look like much but these headsets are the best I have had in a long time. For gaming that is. I have some Sennheiser's for my music and decided to get some for gaming. I am glad I did. Highly recommend them. However, if you are an audiophile whose used to high end headsets that deliver the true sound of the music, these are for gaming purposes so keep that in mind.They completely fit around the ears, well mine anyway and the swing up muting of the mic is real nice although my last headset did that as well. Very light weight so was able to play for hours and no ear sweat. They do breath. They do not completely block out all external sound but they do cut it down by quite a bit; more than enough to play.

I ordered one of these to use while I Skype. The headphones hurt your ears (not due to sound, but physical pressure) after about a half hour of use. The sound quality is very good. I had to send the first pair back because the microphone would not stay in place and would flop down to the lowest setting. Amazon replaced it free of charge. The second one worked fine.I like the fact that they don't occupy one of your USB slots. They use the microphone ports on your PC.

Can remember when Sennheiser was a name synonymous with huh-end audio.These headphones betray that legacy. Despite over a half hour trying all manner of adjustments of the headband and microphone – I was never able to achieve proper fit or good quality listening and voice transmission.And they weren't cheap. Obviously with the growth of VOIP and FaceTime – there is a compelling need for comfortable headsets with superior voice quality.This Sennheiser headset is a huge disappointment.

Very light, Blocks out all sound, Extremely comfortable for long hours, crystal clear microphone. Oversized earcups and lightweight make wearing them almost unnoticeable. After a couple of years and some rough use the only damage is a couple of the silver hingecaps have fallen off, but does not affect performance. Mute switch is easy to accidently trigger but you get used to it. Would recommend to any gamer.

I use these headsets for primarly gaming because my (Siberiav2) headset's right side only works. Anyways, These still work and it's been only a year or so, but both sides still work. I use these for gaming like I said, and there on par with the Siberiav2's (I was pretty disappointed with the Siberia's as I heard and read a lot of good reviews for it. The sound for those headsets weren't as good as I thought and died after a year of use. Anyways these headsets are pretty good for music, but for Gaming their just average I'd have to say. My friend recommended me Sennheiser so I bought these 151's off amazon. Their solid, but I'd monitor your expectations I think i'll use these for only music as I recently purchased my new gaming headset which should arrive tomorrow. These are still pretty good and I mean for the price 37 their actually 5/5 stars for value. Of course paying 40 bucks for a headset won't be the best, but these are definitely good for the price your paying. One thing I don't like about these headsets was that it easily falls off my head if I go down to get something I dropped or look down to far at the ground they just fall and hit the ground or desk. Their pretty durable as this happened quite a few times, but there not like the planatroics grip that held on your head so easily. Thats one negative thing I have to say about the headset, other than that their pretty good :).

I've had many Sennheiser headsets over the years and I find the PC-36 the best balance of audio quality, noise reduction mike, comfortable after many hours of use and built to withstand constant squashing in the backpack.

Excellent headset for using Skype calls, very comfortable when wearing for long periods of time. One thing to add though make sure to purchase a USB 3.5 jack combiner adapter or a headset iPhone adapter separately if you want to use this headset on a mac.

The folding and collapsing design makes transport in flat containers (laptop cases/backpacks) easy and comfortable. It does get a little dirty in the folding hinge area and is quite difficult to clean. Not impossible, but difficult. I have been using them for around a year now and I can say that the sound quality hasn't reduced in the slightest. I am hoping to be able to use them for a while to come.

The headphones work instantly when I plug them into the jack on the front of my PC. However they make an annoying crackling sound whenever I move the mouse, open or close a program and just generally buzz. My friends on skype can hear this buzz too.So I looked online and 1 or 2 people have had similar effects with other products and their query was resolved when they plugged it into the back of their computers, but when I plug my headphones into the back they just don't work. (And yes, I am plugging them into the right slots). Really frustrating. I have to either accept they will buzz and use them or not use them at all.

I wasn't impressed with these at all, compared to another pair of Sennheiser monitoring phones I used to own. They didn't fit well (the bar that connects the phone is very rigid, doesn't mold to the contours of your head well), and as a consequence didn't sit on my ears correctly. Also the mic quality was poor in terms of output. When played back my voice sounded terrible compared to better mics like the Audio-Technica USB stand-alone models. Tried to do the headphone / mic combo but it's tough to meet the quality compared to a decent pair of monitoring phones and a stand-alone USB mic.

Prior to owning these I had two pairs of Sennheiser PC150's... they were the best I used because they didn't hurt my ears and I was capable of wearing these while I was wearing my glasses. I went ahead and bought these because they were also a Lightning deal... They are amazing, lows mids and highs are all pure and sound great. Even though they are not "surround sound" this is absolute bull crap because as long as the game or whatever you are playing has directional sound, it will sound like surround sound... It was well worth the $1X9 I paid...

The audio in these headphones is excellent- crystal clear! Not surprised, considering Sennheiser's reputation for quality. They are comfortable to wear with plenty of padding on the ears and head piece.The microphone looks good without being awkward. Unfortunately, the microphone jack is not compatible with my Mac (no mic jack) unless I buy an attachment such as the iMic by Griffin Technologies. So, it would have been better for me and other Mac users who do not have iMic to get the Sennheiser headset that has a USB cable, instead (I believe it's the 333D).The wires connecting the headphones to the jacks are sufficiently long enough to meet our needs. However, I do wish they were thicker in diameter. I have had shorts in wires this thin before, so I was immediately alerted to the fact that I will have to be more careful with these. It's something to consider if you have younger gamers in your household that need to be monitored with more fragile items.Aside from that, they look good and feel soft enough against the heads of all those in our household. I'm so relieved that they aren't annoying and headache-inducing as some lesser brands that come to mind.

I decided to order these because of the incredible amount of positive reviews they have received. I completely regret that decision.The earcups are so large they press into my neck and jawbone, and this is because of how they are shaped, not the height setting - this makes it feel very awkward to talk and creates another problem when the earcup is being moved by your jawbone.As you may have read in other reviews, the bass sucks. Despite every enhancement on the computer, the bass is awful. The only way it sounds decent is if you apply pressure to the headset. I've seen reviewers on YouTube who used velcro to keep it tight on your head. But I think it's insane to pay a premium for something so disappointing.As for the problem with your jawbone, whenever you talk, chew gum, eat, etc it moves the earcups slightly. Now because of how tightly they need to be on your ears, any adjustment in pressure changes the sound. This makes music or voice sound like a pacman game whenever you do any activity that involves jawbone movement. Cup yuor hands over your ears slightly and remove them quickly a few times, this basically simulates what any movement sounds like.The microphone is wonderful, it's very loud and clear. The mute button however, is garbage. Muting it makes a very audible static noise that someone on the other end can hear. The button is also very finicky. If you don't move it enough all you will hear is static. The volume control doesn't work. The range that it changes the volume from is dismal at best and I still have to use the volume control on the computer.The Bottom Line: I have a $30 Microsoft Headset that is more comfortable and sounds better than this one. I am incredibly disappointed by Sennheiser. Unless you are a stationary, lifeless stone, you won't like this headset.

These headphones are comfortable and lightweight. Sound quality is great. Hooked up to my Astro Mixamp and I can hear every detail of the game. They can get really loud. I would recommend these to anyone looking for PC headphones.

This is an OK headset but it's not worth the price. It fits firmly (a little TOO firmly) and blocks out a decent amount of ambient noise. However, I purchased it to replace a KOSS SB45 that broke after a few years' use. IMO, the Koss performs better.The Koss headset is better in a few ways: 1. The Koss has much better bass support. This Sennheiser is great in treble/mid range, but pretty weak in the low range. Even if I use Winamp's equalizer and push the base frequencies to the top, it's still a week compared to the Koss. 2. The Koss can be worn with the mic on either side. (The Koss mic swivels both ways. You can flip stereo in your computer's OS sound options.) This headset's earphone tilt and mic swivel do not permit swapping side. Maybe not a big deal to some, but my PC is on the left side of my desk and I don't like the cord crossing over my body and draping down my neck. 3. Though this set does block out some ambient noise, the Koss blocked out much more. Even with no sound playing in the Koss headset, I could rarely hear someone talk to me in a normal tone if they were 10 feet away. This headset doesn't block out that well.For six times the price of the Koss, I would have expected a better headset than this. I am going to return it.

I do a lot of gaming and prefer headphones over speakers, so comfort is a big priority as I usually wear headphones for a few hours at a time. These headphones are very comfortable, have nice bass, and the mic is very clear (I can tell because I record videos for Youtube).I Would definitely recommend these or any Sennheiser headphones in general. Prior to these I had a pair of Sennheisers that lasted me for nearly 8 years, and it was my own neglect that caused them to wear out.

We have been trying different PC headsets with microphones to make recordings of our voices. My son makes video recordings of himself and his friends playing the PC based video game Minecraft, then he shares them on the Internet. (Believe it or not other gamers actually enjoy watching other people play games.)We also use these for Skype phone calls.This Sennheiser gaming headset is the highest quality and most realistic voice recording of our voices.For listening these are high quality and they let you choose if you want surround sound or regular sound. The surround sound is so realistic when I heard my son's voice in a recording I thought he was speaking behind me, but it was just the headset!The earphones very comfortable on the ears. The headset part has padding on it so that is comfortable to wear also.The volume button is large and easy to turn, it's a dial on the right earpiece.This is the highest quality and best performing headset that we own. This is the fourth set we've tried.I do not have access to the MSRP so I can't comment on that in this review.We are very happy with these for listening, talking, and voice recording.

I use these at least twice a week for several hours at a time. I'm hard of hearing and wear a behind-the-ear hearing aid in my right ear. Due to the severity of my hearing loss, it's a larger BTE aid than is common these days, and so I can't use in-the-canal headphones (e.g. iPhone headphones), Walkman-style headphones, or smaller over-the-ear headphones.Now that I've been doing more advanced stuff in Warcraft and planning to resume Left 4 Dead and Battlefield with friends in the near future, I needed to do something about this problem as one's hobby shouldn't cause physical discomfort, and the discomfort that shouldn't exist in the first place shouldn't cause problems in a cooperative setting where you are helping others and they are helping you.So when I looked for a new headset to replace the existing Plantronics USB headset I'd been using, one of the criteria was "larger earcups". The smaller earcups I'd been wearing exerted pressure on my hearing aid that caused it to be pushed into my ear and the side of my head. This, combined with the earpieces from my glasses, added up to be pretty uncomfortable and made voice chat unbearable after more than a relatively short time.I've had Sennheiser headphones before and been quite happy with them, so I knew that the sound quality would be good. Reviews of this headset on Amazon looked great and from the photos it looked like the earcups were indeed larger than my current headset. And the earcups of my Sennheiser headphones were soft enough that I didn't find them uncomfortable to wear over long periods of time.I've been quite pleased with this headset, although the ability to adjust the earcups back and forth a bit (e.g. tilt forward, vertical, and tilt backward) in addition to the fit of the headband would be welcome; the positioning of the earcups is largely dictated by the fit of my hearing aid, and so the headband isn't always where I would like it to be. It's quite tolerable, though. The headband is wide and well-cushioned and the weight of the headset is easily bearable -- in fact, it's not so light that it feels flimsy or cheap and yet not so heavy as to cause neck or head aches.Finally, those I play with have no complaints about the microphone quality and report that my voice is clear once the microphone Levels setting is adjusted properly -- at least in the current version of Ventrilo. I have yet to test the microphone with the built-in voice chat system in World of Warcraft, as it is rarely used (a shame, as I like its ability to display on-screen who is talking, but that's not a fault of this headset!).This headset does not have a push-to-talk button as some do, but a set of leftover USB dictation control pedals left over from a past job combined with a utility that translates a pedal press into a keypress takes care of that easily. Perhaps that, too, could be a feature for a future model, although that might be a bit too "niche" for Sennheiser and not an optimal way to toggle a microphone, anyway.I would, however, like to see a USB version of this headset, as I've found USB preferable to using the front-panel connectors on my PC. It was easy enough to purchase a USB audio adapter to convert the in/out connectors to a single USB plug, but others may not want to do that or may not be aware that such adapters exist.Definitely recommended. My "old" USB headset will be finding its way to a guildmate who's younger, and so has smaller ears than I do; she also doesn't wear a hearing aid.

I work out of my home, and utilize a cisco voip phone for a majority of my calls. I wanted a headset with cans large enough to surround my ears and comfortable enough to wear for extended hours. These Sennheiser PC 350's deliver on every promise they made. They are extremely comfortable so you won't get ear fatigue, and their audio quality is outstanding. I own a pair of Westone triple driver (retail $500) ear buds as I'm very picky about my music, and these Sennheiser's stack up pretty closely in terms of sound quality. The cord is nice and long, and much thicker than a cheap standard which should translate into longer life. I'm told by those with whom I talk over the voip phone that the clarity is fantastic; given that I regularly communicate with people in the UK from my location in the Washington DC area, I am a true convert to Sennheiser. I am not a gamer, so I cannot critique from that perspective, but from a music and voip phone perspective; these are a great buy.

This headset didn't live up to the hype, it's just okay but I wouldn't buy it again. The Sennheiser's 7.1 leaves a lot to be desired in FPS gaming. I couldn't tell the direction of sound coming my way in FPS games. The G35 Logitech which I also own is a far better performer but the Sennheiser is a better quality build. The bottom line is performance not build and this is where the G35 Logitech shines.

It looks good and the soundstage is a few feet away, which combined with the decent imaging, makes for a good but overpriced setup. The sound isolation is also quite nice and my ears never hurt as the cushions were always against my head. Very comfy. I get better microphone quality from a 3.99 microphone that I can strap onto one of my nicer headphones that I am currently using, doesn't look as pretty though.

i use these for skype in my home office, and works great .. the headphones are quite comfortable and i love the long cord .. i wish very much they'd add an in-line mute/volume switch though, as i spend alot of time trying to find skype's tiny mute button whenver i need to cough/sneeze - if they added that one feature i'd give 5 stars and buy two more pairs

Великолепно
I bought these for my son for Christmas. He LOVES them. Says that they are very comfortable and that the sound is great on both games and music. I've tried them out and I wish I could afford a second pair for me. They were a little pricey for my own limited use, but I know my son will get my money's worth out of them.

I needed a solution for making Skype calls while travelling abroad to avoid usurious fees from Service Providers. In addition, I prefer the over-the-head fit to in-ear options.I'm really happy with the quality and function of these headphones. They're not going to satisfy the needs of an audiophile but they weren't designed to. They do exactly what they need to.

It was nice, worked very well, but heavy. Unfortunately, the connector inside the headset was weak, and got jammed inside, rendering it useless.
