The headphones are good. They have great noise quality. The microphone seems to work well. And they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time.I was disappointed that they weren't noise canceling headphones. After discovering this, I looked closely at the packaging and the Amazon product. It is the microphone that is noise canceling, not the headphones. I don't even know what a noise-canceling microphone does for me. What I wanted was a noise canceling headphones, but alas, I was fooled by overuse of buzzwords.

Yeah... As I wrote in my title, it has the best mic I've ever seen. My friends can hear my voice so clear that they mention it everytime we talk :) I just wish that the sound quality was as good as the mic. Now don't get me wrong, I ain't saying it's not good, but it could be better. Buy this headphone if you like the bass more than treble. If u have a good sense of hearing, u will immediately notice the lack of treble and start to try different ways for adjusting it right. What I did was maximizing the treble setting in my audio control panel and even that didn't satisfy me...But hey, this is not a headphone for music listening anyway... I bought it for gaming and the mic and it's just doing fine with those.

This Headset has great sound & comfort, but the microphone has too much bass on playback for me.I even tried different settings for mic playback,& it's still too much bass for voice broadcasting. It didn't do a very good job in noise canceling. I would not recommend this Headset if you are an internet DJ.

This is the best headset (at least in this price range) that I have found so far. Anything of a comparable price that I've tried I haven't liked as much. For me, it's mostly been a comfort issue, as anything else I've tried for a similar price has not been comfortable for me to wear for very long. I use them for gaming, for Skype, Google Voice, music, pretty much anything I need earphones and/or a microphone for. I also haven't had any complaints from anyone chatting with me online when I use these. They're lightweight, and don't crush my ears when used for a long period of time. I also really like the volume control and mic on/off switch that's on the cord, it's really convenient for customizing the volume for whatever you're doing at the moment (and turning off the mic, if you need to), as opposed to having to do it with the controls on the computer. The only flaw with these earphones, which is why I'm on my second set, is where the wires connect to the jacks. They eventually pull loose over time, even if you're relatively careful with them. However, it took years for my first pair to finally die even with that issue, so it's not worth it to me to take a whole star from my overall review for that.In terms of people complaining about them falling off - my guess would be it's all dependent on your head and how you wear them. I prefer to wear them with the band going over the back part of the top of my head, so it's generally not an issue for me. However, anything I've tried that never falls off also tends to crush my head/ears, so I would almost prefer something occasionally coming off as opposed to my ears starting to hurt from being squeezed too hard.Definitely my favorite headset so far!

For using this PC specific headset on the PS3 you will need some extra accessories;either theEar Force DSS 7.1 Channel Dolby Surround Sound Processor with a Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter, C-Media Chipset, RoHS to use the surround sound and mic capabilities------OR-------ASTRO MixAmp(Best option due to chat-game sound balancing feature )My suggestion based on testing and what i decided to do:Get the Sennheiser HD595 Dynamic High Grade Performance Premiere Headphones with Zalman Microphone Zm-Mic1 High Sensitivity Headphone Microphone Retail plus either of the above mention accessories.==== WHY???=====Because the HD 595 are pure HIFI headphones and they just sound a lot better than the PC 360. Think of it this way: PC 360 may be the best pure gaming headphone available with all its neat features, while the HD595 delivers possibly the highest quality sound you can get at this price range.PC 360 and the needed accessories for console use will put you back around $300 to $380 depending on what accessories you get (astro or DSS + USB adapter). The HD595 are about $100 less than the PC360, which is enough to cover for a major chunk of the money needed for the accessories.Either way you wont miss. The PC360 is top quality all around, and the HD595 is just BEAST HIFI sound quality.Think about it, it makes sense.====Update====I recently got the Astro A40 with the mixamp, in addition to the PC360I have come to the conclusion that for gaming nothing beats high quality gaming headphones. Yes the HD595 are awesome and all that, but with gaming focus headphones i find the sound more appropriate for gaming, while the HIFI HD595 are just beast for everything, but lack the mic and mute functions. so for gaming pick gaming headphones, since they are ready for gaming out of the box

I'm lucky enough to own to great headphones, the Sennheiser PC-350 and the Logitech G930.The Sennheiser PC-350 is a great headphone setup that uses standard audio plugs to connect to computer cards (as opposed to USB). My audio card is built into a Gigabyte 890FXA motherboard and from an audiophile perspective, these are the most musical sounding consumer headphones I've used. One thing I've noticed about the PC-350 besides being very comfortable, is that I experience less aural fatigue than I do with the G930.I bought the Logitech G930 for three reasons, 7.1 audio, the wireless headset feature, and at $80, an unresistable price. The G930 works well with Windows and the 7.1 audio is fabulous in the one game I play regularly (America's Army). The real plus for me was that they do work in Linux with limited functionality. I use Fedora as my primary OS, and the G930 works fine in stereo (not 7.1), so long as it's plugged into the USB tether when the computer is turned on. After the machine is booted, you can unplug it and it will work just fine via the wireless. While the G930 sounds great for movie playback, it's not as musically accurate as the PC-350. They're a bit harsh musically, although rap and metal lovers will probably prefer the G930 because of the enhanced bass and treble in the EQ.Because I bought the G930 after the PC-350, I figured I would A-B them and then get rid of the ones I liked the least. I will probably keep them both for different reasons. Although the G930 is my primary headphone set (it's wireless, 7.1 sound), the PC-350 is far more accurate for serious musical listening, plus it has the old school audio plugs.

I needed a headset mic for some video tutorials I am recording. The low price for this headset/mic combo gave me pause but the positive comments were enough for me to buy it. Turns out the mic works like a charm. Clear, clean, full, resonant sound. The drawback is the headset. Initially, listening to myself as I was making my recordings was disconcerting. The mic sounded tinny and thin. Turns out it wasn't the mic. It was the headset. When I listened to my recorded voice through my production studio speakers, the audio was excellent. And it's not just when I'm recording. In all instances, the headset audio is narrow and has no bass response. To the point that the sound is uncomfortably bad.So...if you want a high-quality, low-cost headset mic, the PC 31 fits the bill. If you want a high-quality headset, give the PC 31 a pass.

Got these to serve as ventrilo headsets for MMO gaming. Boom mike flips up when you are just listening to music etc. Sound quality is excellent, both from the headphones and from the microphone (friends say I come in clear). These cover your ears, so if you just came in from mowing the lawn and are hot, you are going to sweat buckets on the ears. My big issue is with sound isolation. When you wear these, you have a great deal of difficulty hearing much else of what is going on. So when the wife plops down and starts on a long sphiel about something important, you only realize she is talking when she whacks you in the head. Some would find this a feature. Ruggedness is good. The usual toss it on the desk and roll over the chord obstacle course I subject my headsets to has yet to damage them. One weird aside...the headphone jack on the front panel of the computer has much poorer sound quality than the one on the back of the box, so my normal config is to have these plugged into the back of the computer, and I will use the headphone jack on front to plug into speakers when I want to not use the headset. Not sure if this is a result of an interfacing issue with the headset, or it is just a quality issue for my specific computer. If I could get a Sennheiser engineer in a corner, I would tell him to come up with a way to let you hear more ambient sound. Right now wife mode of operation involves hoisting one ear piece above my ear, and it slips...fared much better in wife mode operation with the logitech headsets, but they die fast, so, I suppose there are tradeoffs.

First let me begin I am a skeptic of headset comfort, second to sound quality, and third to microphone quality. All are very important in my rating, and without one of the three factors mentioned, I wouldn't rate the product higher than a 2. However, this headset DESERVES 5 STARS!!!Backlog: I have both a big head (12.5 inch circumference!) and I wear glasses. Both my large cranium and glasses usually do not mesh well, actually at all, with gaming headsets. With my previous gaming headset (Logitech clear chat) I could game for about 1-2 hours before brewing a massive headache, then I would have to switch to my lame 2 desktop speakers. I was in desperate need of a comfortable gaming headset that had great sound and great mic quality.Enter Sennheiser PC 350 Gaming Headset:Extremely comfortable; I have had the headset for about three weeks. Don't let this fool you on testing. I am a college student with lots of time on my hands! Over the last three days I have put in 15 hour gaming sessions, per day, (Mass Effect 2~ I was sucked in!!) and I didn't have to re-adjust or take off the headset once. The cushions on these puppies are thick, VERY sound dampening, and plush. My ears (also large) fit nicely in the cups without any contact. The ear cups (don't know what to call them) completely envelop my ears and create a nice seal (even with my thick nerd glasses). The headset is very adjustable; the ear cups swivel, and articulate in many positions to fit against your head. The head strap has many different levels of adjustment, to raise or lower the ear cups on your head. The microphone is also conveniently adjustable; a majority of the mic arm is made of hard plastic, but a portion of the arm is made of a highly flexible rubber which allows for nice positioning of the mic (Also when not using the mic it can be swung into a 'out of the way' upright position). The mic, and all of the headset for that matter, is of excellent build quality. The sound is AWESOME! :D The highs are crisp, and the bass is very deep (deepest I have heard from a headset, and I have professional Sony studio headsets). As I said before the ear cups are very sound dampening. My wife three feet from me cannot get my attention without tapping me on my shoulder. (~I read about the level of sound dampening in previous reviews and they were totally right: the headset is so quiet that your house could be burning down and you wouldn't know it) My wife sits next to me on her computer with her music blasting, and I can delightfully sight next to her and not have to listen to it. ;) Basically the sound dampening provided from the nicely sealed thick ear cups is excellent! Conclusion:I researched the heck out of this headset, and many others; This is my personal winner, and in my opinion, one of the best headsets out. I always base my decisions upon user's reviews and professional online reviews. I am happy to say that the Sennheiser PC 350 Gaming Headset is the nicest, high quality headset, that I have ever owned. I am also pleased to tell those of you reading this review that this headset is most worthy of your purchase.I hope this helps those of you needing user input and opinion. Best of luck on your purchase ;)~Pat

I have been trying to handle work conference calls via VOIP using Skype or Google Talk Voice for quite a while. I had thought I had network issues when every call would fail with the other end not being able to understand/hear me after 19m every time.It turns out the issue was my USB audio device used with the cheap headset that only had dual 1/8" jacks. (Macs do not amplify the mic input... making it impossible to use that headset directly)I'm currently on a conference call using Google Talk Voice and have been connected for nearly an hour and a half with no issues. The physical mute switch on the cord is great as is the volume dial. I also like the blue LED that indicates power. I have been plugging this into the side of my keyboard as needed.4 stars instead of 5 because comfort could be a bit better.

I've been using a pair of Sennheiser PC 151s for a couple of years now and I've always been pleased with their performance. After listening to a friend rave about his recent acquisition of Razer's newest stereo headset offering, I figured I'd try upgrading to something a little more high-end. And hey - who doesn't want to look like an air traffic controller or a football coach? As everyone else has raved, the packaging is top-notch. Incredibly easy to open while also conveying that this is a premium product that needs to be shipped safely. But not to worry - these cans are built like a tank. They have considerable heft to them while the plastic feels very solid, even if the metal hinges are mostly for show. I have a big head and these headphones fit shockingly well - snug, but not tight. The large ear cups surrounded my ears completely and the foam isolated me from the room so much that I didn't hear my phone ringing while it was sitting just a few feet away from me. I also really liked the solid feel to the cord, the thin nature of the cord on my PC 151s is a constant annoyance to me, I'm always afraid that I'm going to snag or snap it.All in all, these are well designed headphones. Sadly I'll be returning them anyway. Why you might ask? I can't use them without spending at least another $100 and possibly modifying them to void the warranty. If you look at the technical specifications of any of the other Sennheiser headsets or even any of the headsets from Logitech or Razer, you'll see that their nominal impedance is rated at 32 ohms. This headset? 150 ohms. It's a much harder load for the weak onboard soundcard's amp to drive. Highs and upper mids sound well defined and rich, but mid and low bass material is weak and ill-defined if it exists at all. I found myself wanting to turn the music louder and louder to try and compensate for missing frequencies on material that was familiar to me - and that's a great way to acquire some hearing damage.I went ahead and borrowed a small Yamaha mixer from my office to test and ensure that the load on the soundcard's amp was my issue. With the headphones powered by the more significant headphone amplifier on the mixer these headphones sounded absolutely wonderful. With some extremely minor (~10% above flat) boost to the mid and low frequencies these headphones sounded really quite good. I enjoyed the tightness given to the bass definition by virtue of the sealed enclosure. Some people have instead chosen to modify their PC 350s by drilling ports into the enclosure to enhance the low-end response and follow that up by packing the rear cavity with fiberfill as well. (Search head-fi.og for "modding the pc350" if you're curious for the details.)So, I'd have to buy a headphone amplifier to really make reasonable use of these headphones. For anything of reasonable quality we're looking at ~$100, minimum. The final straw that lead me to decide to return these headphones was actually the reason I'd bought them to begin with - they isolated too well, really. When I finally tried to speak to a friend on ventrilo while wearing them the result was.... odd. I couldn't hear my voice in the room, just the sound echoed back from within my own head - almost as if I'd had a bad headcold or a horrible ear infection. If there was any noise in the headphones I found myself shouting to compensate for it, which was just obnoxious. So, between the expense of the headset itself, the added expense for a headphone amplifier and the additional possible need to modify the design, I decided it just wasn't worth it. My old PC 151s still work as well as the day that I purchased them, and they're already paid for and can be powered perfectly by my soundcard. I'll just continue using those, I suppose.

I've been using this headphone for two months now, so I'd say I have a pretty good feel for this product. I specifically bought this headset for the microphone, but I actually use it now more for just recreational purposes, such as listening to music or watching tv. The microphone rotates up so you don't have to have it in front of your face all the time, but it still looks a little silly. I think a lot of reviewers forget to mention how long the actual cable is. I thought the length would be standard, such as the length of an ipod cable, but it's really quite long. I haven't measured it, but I can walk around my room while having these plugged into my computer. If I were to estimate, I'd say somewhere between 6-8 ft. Sometimes it's convenient, but other times the long cable can get in the way. The sound quality is absolutely superb while the mic quality is just decent. I've heard better microphones for cheaper, so if you're looking for a great microphone, I wouldn't go with this headset. You sound a little muffled, but it's not that big of a deal. Build quality is decent as well. It's just plastic, but sturdy. I'm sure if you can take care of your things, everything will be fine. I do have higher quality headphones that I bought for $80, and I must say, this headset comes pretty close. Of course the bass isn't as powerful and the mids aren't as strong, but you really get a quality sound from these guys. Overall, I think this is a great buy and I could easily recommend this to my friends and family.

I got this headset today and it took me five minutes to take it off. i really feel bad for myself now cause i spent money on this crappy product. I mean what were they thinking of when they made it a gaming headset or a torture device. after reading a few reviews I came to the conclusion that this headset is great for people with a small head size and small ears. well I have both and this thing gave me a headache and my ears were on fire in no time at all. the 333D really presses on your ears and the buns aren't very comfortable. it's really a shame too cause the sound quality is great, not the best I've heard but not bad either. when enabling the hyper virtual sound thing i just get an extra sound effect that make me feel i'm in a tunnel. it's just that the sound quality isn't good enough to sacrifice my ears for. i didn't even try the mice and i don't live in America so i don't think I'll be able too return it. for the amount of money you spend i'm sure you'll find something better. as for me, well i'm off to look for another headset............ and some panadol.sorry for my bad grammer cause english isn't my first language.

I did a lot of research on reviews and shopped around before purchasing two of these headphones to replace some old junkers the hubby and I had been using. First of all, let me say that it's rare to find headphones with a good-length cord (nearly 10 ft!)--no more feeling "leashed" to one little 6-inch deviation at my desk in order to have sound and mic abilities. As for the comfort, I wear glasses and haven't yet encountered the pain of having them pressed painfully into the tender flesh behind my ears by a pair of over-zealous headphones. There's lots of gentle foam-y padding around the ears and even under the headband strap, to prevent my hair from hurting (no, really. ow, my scalp!) after long gaming sessions....Oh, and the sound is incredible. At first, I just thought they were LOUDER than my last pair, but then i realized the noise cancellation does SUCH a good job, that I didn't need to crank the volume up to drown out the noise two computers, an air conditioner unit and two desktop fans in one little room, with none of the microphone-static-feedback that cheap headsets are so prone to produce. I was amazed at the depth and quality of the sound, not only for online gaming, but also when watching videos and listening to iTunes. Big props to Sennheiser for being the Cadillac of the headphone industry :)

At the end of the call I asked that caller what was his secret to being so clear and he said it was his mic and sent me a link to this product. I don't have this headset so I have no idea how it is for listening but as someone on the other end of a VOIP conference call, all I can say is the person that was using this headset was by far the easiest of all the callers to hear and understand.Update 1/16/13I've owned this for nearly a year and had several colleagues purchase it. Sound quality for conference calls is the best I've heard.Sound quality for music is just OK. I can wear this for hours on end for back to back conference calls with no issues. This is my second Sennheiser 151 headset. The first lasted about a year, and it was comfortable, so when it became staticy I replaced it with a new one of the same type at the end of Dec. In retrospect I should have gotten something completely different. Now, after less than 2 months of light/moderate use, this second one has the same static problem (something shorted in the cord?) and more than that, it completely cuts out sometimes. Unfortunately I can't return it to Amazon as it is now just slightly over the 30 days return window. Aargh! I feel duped. I will definitely look elsewhere for a replacement.

It doesn't give me headaches, it just molds to fit.The thing that makes any discomfort worth it is the sound. Wow. That's all I can say. I never knew what I was missing. I can't compare this to too many other headsets, but I can't imagine there are many better ones out there, and certainly not at this price. Worth it!

These are it.These headphones are great for people on a budget. For 20 bucks you can't get much better. The sound quality is pretty good, and the mic works as advertised. I use these to play video games and they are definitely a step up from iPod ear buds! As for the reviewers who say that this headset is very uncomfortable, that's because they haven't adjusted them. Although its not very obvious at first (its somewhat hidden), you can change the "height" of the headset. At the default height it is VERY uncomfortable, but when adjusted I barely notice that they are on top of my head!

These are very comfortable to wear for hours at a time - which I often do.My only dislike is that the cord is very long (which may be good for gamers) so I have it tied up ith a twisty tie and the adapter for my blackberry is there too - those two items make it very bulky as far as the cord goes. If it weren't for that I would have given it a 5.

I bought these headsets may 23rd and by late july the headset microphone just flat out had stopped working. the headset still works great but i need a microphone. I bought these on a recommendation from a freind whom his has worked great for years but i guess what little abuse i put on the cord must've broken the microphone part and the hearing part is somewhat off and on sometimes. great if you just want to have a headset and works great on an ipod or other device with the headset buddy for listening to music but the cords come out of your laptop too easily and aren't very well manufactured. would work best for a desktop computer where you could put the cord off the the side rather then a laptop where it is so easy to trip on the cord and yank it out of the laptop. I am now forced to look at a new laptop headset and microphone and may end up with this just being an ipod headset.Pros: good sound quality and i find them very confortable personally.cons: cheap cord despite quality product and it has some noise cancelling issues depending on what you want it to cancel out.recommendations: get it for a desktop but not a laptop unless you are so careful but even once or twice if you trip over the cord it is likely to break so why take the risk with such a pricy headset.

If you're looking for the short version of the story: buy the PC360.About two months ago I wanted some headphones for my PS3. I saw Astro was coming out with the 5.8 wireless mix amp and preordered it as soon as I could. In the mean time, I wanted to find the right set of cans to go with it or even let me cancel the order. I first tried some Turtle Beach PX21 with their mix amp from best buy. It cost $130 and sounded awful. Terrible static that was constantly in the background. Distorted bass. Treble that was pitchy. Needless to say I promptly returned them.Next up was the Logitech F240. These are designed for console gaming with the PS3 and 360 in mind. This was much better and wireless compared to the PX21 and it's plethora of wires. I used them for about a month then sent them back to Logitech for a refund. The closed design really bothered me when playing for over 30 or 40 mins. It made my head feel like it was stuck in jar or something. The bass was also lacking and what was there tended to distort when explosions were going off in Call of Duty. Also, during any quiet part of something there was a noticeable static. Not like the PX21 but annoying none the less. While using the F240s my Astro 5.8 came. The only headset I had top air it with was my AKG701. The 701 is a great headset but is not really meant for gaming. It produces accurate sound, not "lively" sound. Despite this when paired to the wireless mix amp it sounded awesome. Right there I knew the F240s were going back and I was going to get a good gaming headset. The PC360s fit the bill and then some. They are light weight and fit with a snug, but not too snug, feel. The sound is really excellent. I think it is the overall balance of the lows, mids, and highs that make it work so well. It just does everything with ease. There is no static even with the mix amp at full blast. Honestly, it sounds great for movies and music too. I only have about 20 hours on them and I am sure they will sound even better once burned all the way in. Overall, they are a great option for people looking for high fidelity sound from a gaming headphone.

After using a pair of PC150's daily for the past 7-8 year, I was upset when they broke (due to my clumsiness -- turns out they will break eventually if you frequently knock 'em off your desk onto a hard floor). My brand new PC151's are every bit as good -- the bass response is noticeably better than the old ones, actually (although that could just be from age/abuse :)I love that they use my existing sound card, no USB drivers or separate sound card needed. The mic switch and volume control on the knob are waaaaaay handy, and I've never had any complaints about voice quality while using voicechat during online gaming sessions.Only complaint is that they're a little tight on the head when brand new, but I do have kind of a big head I guess. All in all, I've gotten more money's worth out of these than pretty much any of my other computer stuff.

Purchased these about 6 months ago for listening to music and online communication. I do some studio work and have experience with high end headphones, and find these quite good for their price.Durability: They've held up well, I expect the foam ear covers to wear firstFit: Fit my head well and very comfortable to wear for extended periods - not too hot. Mic can be bent and positioned for best placementSound: Headphones sound great with crisp but not harsh highs, and warm and deep lows. A bit of an open sound which I like and don't find wearing on my ears.Mic: Functional, but sounds fairly harsh regardless of position. Provides for decent clarity in telcom applications, OK for recording spoken word with quite a little EQing, but definitely wouldn't suggest it for singing.

I've owned 2 of this model over the past 6 years (first one lasted over 5 years) and I recommend this to every gamer! I even tried a VERY expensive headset this last time and sent it back within 2 days and went back to old faithful PC151.Sound quality for gaming is a 9 (some others have a tiny bit more bass), Mic Quality is a 10, and cord length is a 10. The in-line volume and mute come in very handy for quick sound adjustments. My only complaint with the entire unit is that the very long cord twists, so I have to untwist it about once every two weeks.I wear this headset 20+ hours a week, so comfort is fine for me.

I've searching for the perfect headset for several years. I've owned Steelseries, Plantronics, Logictech, and Medusa headsets. I'm always looking for the near-perfect combination of excellent sound, long-term wearing comfort, and voice clarity. The closest I've come to my ideal is the Sennheiser PC350. It does have excellent sound reproduction quality. If you have a Creative XI-Fi card with its myriad of controls, it may take some twiddling to get it adjusted to the type of sound you most enjoy. Being mostly deaf to high frequency sounds (over 2000 Hz) due to an extended stay in the artillery branch, I need to bump up the high frequency volume a bit. Not a problem with this headset. At the same time I like heart thumping bass, again no problem with increasing the level of bass amplification. I don't hear any distortion in the bass or white noise (unless I turn the volume up to the point of pain) or hissing. My second major criteria is being able to wear the headsets for an extended period of time comfortably. I prefer the over the ear style (circumaural) headsets because they remain in place better while I'm gaming. Yes, I'm one of those guys who behave as if body language will influence the flow of electrons through a mouse or controller. So I move quite a bit while I'm playing. The Sennheisers don't budge except under the most extreme of head throws to the left or right. I'm also a flight sim geek and wear one of those silly looking clips on my headset that allows an IR camera to track head movements in supported games. The clip fits quite nicely on the Sennheiser and doesn't affect the wearing comfort or perceived weight at all. The Sennheisers feel light on my head and my ears don't get sore after wearing them for a while. The earpads are very soft and cushy, but covered with a very flexible plastic or some highly flexible, comfortable, non-moisture absorbing material. Therein lies the one minor flaw of the Sennheiser; they don't absorb sweat. That may not be a problem for most of the world. I am a heavy sweater and when gaming on a hot summer night, I find the collection of moisture on the earpads to be irritating. Sort of like the sweat that collects in the chin portion of your gas mask when wearing it for extended periods of time. Of course, the solution is to wipe my headphones and ears down and continue playing, but it is an annoyance when you're in the groove of a racing or FPS game and sweat begins to trickle down the side of your neck. The microphone works well, clear and understandable in every application I've used it in. It swivels down, but doesn't bend (if you're the sort who likes it to almost brush your lips). It is a little pricey for a stereo headset. It costs more than the Plantronics 777 and or the Steel series 5H v2 headphones. However, to my damaged ears, the Sennheiser sound is better than on those and the comfort factor immeasurabley better. If you've got the bucks to plunk down on a high quality headset, I highly recommend it. Even better is if you can test a pair somewhere before you buy, then you'll know you're getting what you pay for. P.S. it does use 3.5mm input jacks for the headphones and the microphone. You may need 3.5mm to 1/4" adapters if you're using the front panel box of a Creative Labs product. Also the cable is about 8 ft long with an inline switch to mute the microphone input and adjust headphone volume. I think that's about all I can remember to tell you about this great product.

I've purchased 5 headsets in the last year. They either delivered poor sound quality or were cheaply built and broke. With the Microsoft X300, the cable constantly twisted and finally and blew out my USB hub!!!This headset is amazing. Excellent sound and noise cancelling. I wear my headset to listen to ITunes radio, watch TV programs and chat on Skype to an Italian friend every day. The results is always crisp sound and great mic output.HIGHLY recommended, particularly for the price.

I've owned one these for about an year now, so i believe i can make a good review for the product.Comfort: This thing is very comfortable, you won't notice you are wearing this. This is the only source of sound on my pc so i'm wearing this all the time and i can have this on my head for hours and hours. Really on this point this thing is just perfect. I can see that some people would not find this that confortable if they suffer from sweat problems or such. Since is a headseat and not earbuds you can sweat if you are prone to and live somewere hot.Sound Quality: Really nice sound quality, you can go all the way up in the volume with no distortion at all, mids and highs are awsome, just perfect. My only complain on this item is the lows, don't get me wrong they are pretty decent, but not that good, not that good at all. There are a lot of cheaper products out there with better lows.Microphone quality: While the sound is pretty clear, i've found that the volume is not that great. If i could give it a 3.5 i would but i can't, so i'm giving a 4.Material quality: Very well built, very solid, good material. Two complaints here. First: the material that covers the cushions will fall with time, at least it happened to me, it's still a on going process, this will leave black peaces of "stuff" on your head and hair. Second: the plugs (sound/mic) are not very sturdy they could be better. I could not give anything other than 5 stars on this item, these 2 problems cannot take on star of such a fine built product.Bass: As i said, it could be a loot better, for this price at least.Other thoughts: The volume control is a bit lame since it will not turn off the sound, really far from this, if you want to lower the sound more you will have to do it from software witch is not great.**Edit**I had to take a star from my review. One week after i wrote it the foam got damaged. And since they can't be replace (as far as i know) i'm taking one star from my original review. No unusual use, for the price tag i would expect a more sturdy build on the foams.

I researched probably 20 different headsets before going with the PC350'. They are amazing. The build quality, sound quality and importantly the mic quality is 10/10. Paying 150$ or so for these is absolutely worth it, elevating you out of the $80 bracket of what were reliably trashy, uncomfortable and poorly constructed sets.

I have always heard good things about Sennheiser, so I was disappointed when my headset arrived and the microphone boom wouldn't stay in place. Amazon sent out a replacement free of charge and accepted the defective one back. My new headset arrived next day and was perfect. I use my headset for work at least 8 hours a day and have had no issues. Clarity, response, comfort, you would be hard pressed to find a better headset for the money.

I really like this headset, I really do but it has one major flaw for me as a gamer who uses voice chat often. The mic is a bit short and it's not very flexible so I can't adjust it the way I like it. My computer can pick up my voice but the volume is lower than I like it.On the audio side, it sounds very good. The lows are strong and the highs are crisp. Sorry I can't be more specific, I'm not much of an audiophile so yeah...The headset is very comfortable compared to my last two headsets. There are two reasons why this headset is more comfortable compared to my past headsets. One is because the entire headset is made from plastic so it's not stiff and rigid like my previous metal ones which made the headset felt like it was crushing my head instead of conforming around it. The second is the ear pad cushions that are made firm cotton pads which make it very comfortable.

Sending it back after an hour or so of troubleshooting and botched meetings, could not get the microphone to work on my MacBook Pro, so had to use my built-in mic. The whole reason I got this was to eliminate background noise when I'm on my conference calls. Then read another 'buyer beware' review that the mic input line doesn't work on a mac. This info was not in the amazon description or on the package.

This headset is definitely great for most users out there looking for quality sound for gaming and music. I would recommend it to almost anyone. The sound from the headphones is clear with good highs and lows. I have yet to really test it but I'm happy with it right off the bat. The mic comes out very clear and mutes when lifted. The volume control on the right ear is convenient and smooth to turn and only LOWERS the volume, not mute it. The build quality is very sturdy and seems durable. This headset is GREAT, but has one big flaw for me. My head is a little bigger than average and these headphones put a very uncomfortable pressure on my head it gives me the biggest headache after wearing it for some time. It's not too tight, maybe it's me, but I can't wear them for too long unless I want a killer headache that lasts a few hours to all day. I'm a headset user and never use speakers so I'm not new to wearing them. I'm trying to break them in as I've only had it for about 2 weeks now, hopefully they wear down a little and get more comfortable. Wearing it after it's outstretched a little, they are very comfortable, but after a few minutes they start to pinch my head again making me take them off. Anyone else that wears my headset says it's very comfortable so I still recommend this.. but if you have a big head, just be careful.Edit/Update: After stretching this headset out over time, my headaches did manage to go away and I can use it for longer periods of time. These headphones ARE really good and I don't know if it's my sound card or the headphones or perhaps just good hearing, but when I'm gaming, people are surprised at what I can hear and how well I can position it. Definitely would recommend to people if you have the money.

I bought this headset primarily to use when teaching online, though I also use it for listening to music while on the computer. The sound quality is excellent, and the microphone picks up well -- my students never have any trouble hearing me. The one problem I've found is that I cannot adjust the volume directly on the headset; I have to rely on the on-screen volume controls for my online classroom and my iTunes playlist.

I have been researching the net for a replacement for my aging Turtle Beach X3 wireless headsets tied to my Xbox, and after a few weeks of learning, ordering and trying a few different brands, these are the keepers!Well manufactured, solid, and they look "all business". Very light, in my opinion compared to the Astro A40 and TB HPX, tried both, and both are returned. Large size velour ear covers, much more comfortable than say, the vinyl on my X3s. I like the fact that the PC360 series has on-board controls for volume and mute (very slick on the later, as all you do is pivot the boom up until you hear and click and it's muted), a shortcoming of the HPX. I have these connected to an Astro Mixamp at the moment and all is rocking with solid bass and great separation (I can pinpoint an enemy whether 2 or 5 o'clock, very nice). The open design allows me to hear hear the phone while keeping my ears cooler than my X3s. I did run the PC360s overnight for 12 hours, attached to my Mac playing iTunes to break them in a bit. I have read that this allows for a broadened range of highs and lows....and I can say, I think it worked.I have them connected via the digital audio optical out on the back of the XBOX. As a note the cord is long enough, I sit about 8 feet back from a 50" LCD, no problems. If you use a Mixamp, the cables/cords are all included with the Mixamp to get these headphones connected to your XBOX. Not sure about a PS3, but my guess is they will work as well.Shipped overnight delivery, and received a free FiiO E5 Headphone Amplifier and a $10 discount on the headsets, overall a great value if you're a serious/semi-serious gamer. I did rate the comfort a 5, although it took a few hours to get there, like a good pair of shoes, it takes a bit of time to break them in. Overall they were a "4" for comfort, but then I realized that I had the adjustment fully extended and they were putting pressure just below my ears...some pain. Once I tightened them a bit, so that the weight was resting on my head all was good, since they are so light.Overall, very satisfied.

I bought these for the mic so I could use for training videos. They do sound good but they are light weight and appear cheaply designed. After only a 3 months of use and never moving them from my desktop one of the ear phones stopped working. (yeah tried the usual moving the wires to look for short, appears it is a faulty ear piece)They have never been spilled on, pulled on or dropped. Just seems to me for such an expensive headset that should not have happened. Now I have to wear one set of head phones for listening and these around my neck to use the mic.Third product from Sennheiser to fail and they used to make such great products....what happened?

I was leery about spending this kind of cash on a headset, as I have a tendency to break a headset every 3-4 months. However, after over a year of use, they still work great. The sound quality is pretty decent, but Im no audiophile. The mic is very clear. The headband and ear pieces are comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions. My only complaint is that your ears get a little warm after awhile, but its not worth knocking off any stars for that.Buy these, you wont be disappointed.

I started looking for an awesome headset for LANs and as a secondary pair (to my ATH-AD700). My Icemat Siberias finally broke after 5-6 years of use (fatal!ty rests its soul). I didnt care for all these non-flexible headsets that are branded by the big names in gaming headsets. Finally, I found these, the Sennheiser PC350. It looked to have everything I needed, but was it everything?Tested: Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, Heavy Metal Music- Pros: Sound quality, Mic Quality, Noise Canceling.Putting them on for the first time, the sound quality for gaming was pretty nice. The bass was surprisingly good as bullets went off, near and far. The attached mic is flexible to a point. There is a part of the boom that is flexible so you can move the mic closer or farther away from your mouth. The only downside is that its not detachable, which is not a downer for me.However, the sound quality for music was a bit lacking compared to my 700s. I have heard that open headsets are better for sound quality and now I hear why. This is not just an audiophile thing, you can hear the difference. The music sounded a bit distorted and the initial bass only helped create a headache. As for the noise canceling, it does a good job for a closed headset. The downside though is that I am used to being able to talk to friends close by while gaming. This requires one side off my ear at all times, otherwise I will not be able to hear them. However, if you are tired of having noise all around you while gaming, this can help greatly.- Cons: Comfort, For some, the build quality feels a bit flimsyAgain, putting them on for the first time, it almost immediately felt wrong. Before adjusting it, it started to squeeze my head. Once I did adjust it, that did get rid of most, but not completely. As for long use wear time, I would say about 2-3 hours. Beyond that, be prepared for a headache or sweaty ears from time to time. As with any closed headset, it does get warm after awhile and your ears start to get hot.The build quality is better than most that I have seen, and could most likely take a decent amount of abuse, but I would not push it. The reason this is a con though is because my 700s feel ALOT more solid than this.Overall: Sadly, they did not replace my ATH-AD700s as my primary pair. My 700s are just too comfy to let go. However, these Sennheisers do stand up and are noticed for gaming.
