Disclaimer:I'd like to point out that these are NOT noise cancelling headphones and they are NOT advertised as such. They serve a much different purpose, being open ear style. I dislike noise cancelling headphones because I need to hear the things going on around me sometimes, so they fit me perfectly.Comfort:The headset sits loosely on my head and does not feel like it is squeezing me. It may be a little small for males with large heads, but it can be adjusted to fit many sizes. Though it sits loosely on the ears, it does not fall off when laying down. After wearing it for hours every day, comfort has never been an issue. I often forget it is still on my head.Sound:The sound quality is exactly what I was looking for. It comes with its own external sound card to enhance gameplay audio if you do not have a sufficient internal card. I can usually pinpoint exactly where my enemies are in games (quite necessary for games like DayZ and counterstrike). You can switch between 7.1 and 5.1 whenever you need to. Listening to music was also a pleasant experience with these headphones.Microphone:Seems pretty clear according to my friends over Skype. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it serves its purpose. There doesn't seem to be static, but it sometimes picks up a little too much background noise (loud roommates, etc). Many other headset mics do the same thing. Overall, the mic is pretty standard quality compared to similar headsets. Definitely not a deal-breaker.Design:The ear volume adjust comes in handy since there is no volume controller on the cord (not necessary if there is one on the ear anyway). The mic mutes when you push it up far enough, but I find it can be difficult to move in the midst of playing a game (I might just need to break it in a little more). The design of the headset overall feels a little flimsy, but it has proven itself tough after extended use. The earcups are over-the-ear, which is the standard for many headsets these days. They don't seem to be extra large, but they will definitely fit most regular sized ears. Conclusion:This is, by far, the best headset I have ever owned. What else can you expect from Sennheiser?

I have a very difficult time finding comfortable headphones as is, let alone actual headsets. I bought these after hearing good things from a friend who purchased them a few years back and after reading the reviews on Amazon. I'm absolutely in love with this headset and am tempted to pick up another one (or the newer version) for a second set so I don't have to transport these to and from work.I've had these for ~8 months now using primarily for listening to music and video gaming (vent/mumble/skype).Pros:- Sound is excellent- Super comfortable cups!- Snug fit that doesn't go away after time - these still fit me as if (maybe slightly better) as they did when they were brand new!- Durable! I've dropped these, run over the cord, accidentally thrown them off my desk... countless times and they are still perfect.Cons:- Issues with mic mute: I noticed about a month or so after buying these that the mute button was not actually muting the microphone - since i didn't use these for voice chat immediately and i typically use push-to-talk, i didn't notice this right away so i'm unaware if the problem existed from the very start. But the mute switch is extremely wonky. At first, switching to mute was apparently not actually muting the mic, then sometimes switching down to NOT mute WOULD mute the mic, but most of the time the switch just accomplished absolutely nothing. After a few months of accepting that my mute switch was busted, I randomly gave it a shot with something again and found out that it WAS working now. After being very happy about it working for unknown reasons, I was soon to be disappointed again - within a few weeks the switch stopped working again. I've been able to work around the problem by using mute/push-to-talk through the voice chat programs that I use and most recently by plugging the set into my new G510 keyboard as it has headphone controls on the keyboard so i don't notice it much anymore - but this was pretty aggravating on and off for a while.

My PC350 is on the way, but not for the first time - I ordered one about 5 years ago and have used it daily since. The microphone was clear and sounded great, and every Sennheiser product I've ever used has astonishing sound. I got started on Sennheiser as a DJ on the radio, where all the headphones were made by them, and decided I needed the same quality for my setup at home. Not only is the sound great (both incoming and outgoing), especially considering this is a gaming headset, but I can wear these for hours and hours and hours *WITH* glasses and completely forget they're even on! On top of this, Sennheiser advertises on their website that this headset has noise cancellation. That. is. an. understatement! When I wear my 350's, even at half or lower volume, I hear nothing - not my PC fans, not other people talking (or even yelling), I even didn't hear fire trucks racing by 10 feet from my window. (For me this is a very good thing, but not for everyone)If you're wondering why I'm ordering another of this item, it's not because it's defective. The truth is simply that I've worn the old pair so much that the padding is finally breaking down and while I was rebuilding my office I sliced off the microphone wire. I use several headsets in my home office of different brands (while this is an outstanding headset, it's a little too expensive to have more than one) and no matter how hard I search or what brands I try, the quality and comfort never sizes up to my 350's.A few less-than-technical details:The headset cable is very long (around 8 feet). Although I have a headphone extension cable I've never needed it.The connectors are standard 1/8" headphone/microphone, so if you need this for USB, make sure to get an external USB sound card. (I recommend turtle beach for this - not the cheapest out there, but good sound quality and the short USB cable, about 2", makes the product a little more durable)The microphone does *NOT* disconnect! I use these as ordinary headphones all the time, but if you need a removable mic, this is not the product. The mic does swivel (only in one direction, this headset is not built to be worn any way except with the mic on the left ear) but does not come off.Short review: if you have the cash, you NEED this headset!

Let me establish two things about these headphones from the outset. First, they are pretty good headphones - nothing major is wrong with them. Secondly, I can't give a really honest review because Amazon says they are "current unavailable," and knowing the price helps me to determine how they rate; price is a critical factor in rating any product. I received my pair for free from the Amazon Vine program. Here is the rundown of the good and the bad. At the end of this review, I will say what I think they are worth.Pros:* They are lightweight and pretty comfortable. The pad on the top is adequate but not overdone.* The size adjustments work well overall. You can tell by the way it slides and adjusts that it is high quality and built to last.* The earphone pads are soft and made of cloth, not vinyl, so there's no sweat on the ears after prolonged use.* The microphone is superb. They do indeed seem to be "noise canceling" and the sound comes through clear. It's a huge improvement over the built-in mic on my Mac, which kind of surprised me. On one occasion, I forgot I had it plugged in. When I tried to do a video chat, the person on the other end could hear me very well, despite the fact that the headset was sitting five feet behind me on the book shelf.* The cord is VERY long - I think about ten feet. This is what made it possible for the headphones to be *behind* me on the bookshelf even though they were plugged into the computer.Cons:* They come only with old-fashioned headphone jacks. I had to buy a USB adapter for use on my new Mac Mini (I think Mac Books should be OK as they come). Not a big problem, but it would've been nice to get a USB adapter with the headphones.* The sound quality of the actual headphones is decent but not great. I'd say somewhere slightly above average.* Because they are "unavailable" on Amazon, I cannot determine the price point.I said at the beginning of this review that I would say what I think they're worth. This matters a great deal, in my opinion. If this headset is very expensive, I would be disappointed that the product was not better for the money. If it was really cheap, I would be extremely impressed. Let me put this another way. If this headset sells for $30 or less, I would give it a confident 5 stars. If it sold for $60 or less, I would give it 4 stars. If it sells for very much over $75, I would have to keep my original rating of 3 stars. This is not a negative reflection on the headset itself: as I said before, there is really nothing wrong with it. But I simply don't think it's a 4- or 5-star product for much more than about $50-60.

Audio - the audio quality of these headphones is spectacular, as is expected from any high end Sennheiser product. I initially had this reviewed as lesser quality, however it was pointed out in the comments that the impedance is 150 Ohms as opposed to 50 Ohms, which means for some devices that do not push enough signal, these will actually not sound all that great, and might even sound choppy and terrible. With the proper input signal, though, they do sound just fantastic, with an audio response extending well beyond the range of human hearing, and absolutely crystal clear presentation; (my tests "with enough signal" were playing guitar through a preamp, and let me tell you: it sounding AWESOME!)Microphone - The microphone quality was very top notch. I'm not actually a gamer at all, but I do a lot a home recoding, and my setup for this is embarrassingly simple. The headphone mic here works as well as any other mic I've used. It eliminates hisses and pops which are otherwise hard to avoid when singing directly into a mic, so no need for a screen. Plus the headset doubles as your over-ear-monitor. Works like a charm and the audio quality is excellent - good enough for recording and certainly off the charts for gaming.Comfort - They are lightweight and very comfy. Not as over the top as the audiophile HD558 headset that I also had the pleasure of reviewing: those are even lighter and don't have the folding-up feature, which makes one handed removal difficult and annoying. (Granted those ones don't have a microphone either).Function - I like the built-in volume function, although I generally have it cranked and control the volume at the source. Nice feature when needed though. The braided cord is a nice heavy duty touch. The included case is great, but the way they fold is a little awkward and, as noted above, also makes one-hand removal somewhat difficult. In summary, the functionality is spectacular, the audio is fabulous, the mic is great, and I have very minor complaints with the form and folding design. I would highly recommend these to any gamer and even for general headphone use. But I would also caution that the impedance is higher than most headphones so you'll sound a slightly more powerful signal to really get the most out of these.

I waited a long time to review this headset, to be sure I really got to know it. After a few months of use I can honestly say it has superb audio quality, and outstanding ergonomics.By ergonomics I mean they are light on the ears. I have been wearing them all day, every day, for a month. Unlike a lot of full-sized headphones, these don't make my ears sore after a few hours. That may sound silly, but poor ergonomics has been responsible for me trashing many headphones over the years. If they make my ears hurt, I can't wear them, simple as that. It's like clothes, first they have to fit - you have to be able to physically wear them, or the rest is pointless.Audio quality lives up to the Sennheiser audiophile reputation. I use these to listen to youtube music-videos while working. They have great bass, naturally, which is a weak point for cheaper headphones. And awesome spatial imaging, which again is a weak point for cheaper units that can make the music sound like it's coming from inside your head. These don't do that. Note: be careful not to listen to music with the "3D GAME1" engaged (see below). There is a dongle on the headset cord to engage/disengage gamer mode. It works great for games, but really messes with the presentation of music, which is probably why they made it so easily switchable. When playing games it gives better spatial imaging for audio effects. You spin your avatar around and sounds spin around your head - fun.I also use the headset with TeamSpeak3 every day to communicate with fellow traders. They have never heard anyone sound so clear as I do with these. The headset's microphone works even better than my dedicated USB Logitech desktop microphone, which had hitherto been the best we knew.A few people seem to resent the attached cord, preferring wireless. Well, it is what it is - I can't knock off a star off for that. On the plus side, I can grab the PC323D and it always works - no worries about uncharged batteries or lines of sight. Besides, the cord is not really intrusive; it's not like the old spiral-wound telephone cords of headsets past, but a thin light strand - thinner than a USB cable.Bottom line, the PC 323D really is a step up from your standard headsets. Having used a variety of thirty dollar headsets and hundred dollar headphones in the past, I'm really pleased to finally be using the top of the line.

My previous experience with gaming headsets was very limited and low quality prior to this purchase; I used an old Creative headset for a long time without realizing what I was missing. My friend and his family seem to buy Sennheiser headphones exclusively and have given the brand a grand amount of praise. When I finally decided that I wanted something more than my old headset I did a little research, considering sound quality, surround capabilities, build quality etc. and I found myself looking at these beauties. I took a bit of an educated gamble by purchasing this headset, not knowing exactly what it felt like to wear but convinced that it would be satisfactory at the very least. I was surprised beyond belief when I got my hands on the set: The build quality is astounding, compared to anything I ever owned anyway; The audio quality is crisp and clear, very balanced sound all around without any overpowered elements; The virtual 7.1 surround sound is strange to get used to, especially when you try to use it in other applications, however it enhances gaming experience by exponential amounts; The microphone is VERY clear and sturdy, picks up only what it should and doesn't get in the way of snacks; Comfort with the headset will be very bad at first as the ear cups will initially attempt to crush your skull, however this should loosen up with time; The "DJ" style swivel cup is just too awkward in my experience, it's faster and easier to just move the cup off your ear rather than trying to get the joint to move.Pros:Great soundVirtual 7.1 surround soundDurableExcellent microphoneReasonable priceUSB extension includedCan be used with either the 3.5mm jacks or with the 7.1 USB deviceCons:Very tight at firstDJ swivel is useless (if you don't like it then just don't move it, as it will not move easily)Price (More than I'm used to spending on headsets, however this is now my new standard)Doesn't have bacon includedOverall: If you want a new headset for PC gaming with great sound, great features and great quality at an affordable price, look no further!2 month update: The high pressure from the ear-cups is no longer a problem, as the headset seems to have been worked in to fit my head quite nicely. Give it time! These things are awesome! The virtual 7.1 is sick!

These headphones are pretty good. They aren't perfect, but to get better you have to spend double the amount. What I liked...** They have a really long cord -10 feet long to be exact. You can use these to play from anywhere. If you are only using this for music, you don't need this benefit, but if you are gaming, it will be appreciated.** They are lightweight. I have a 20 year old pair of earmuff headphones like these, and the quality is the same, but the weight of these new ones is 1/3 less, and they don't squeeze my ears like my old pair, which means I can wear them a lot longer.* Noise cancelling MIC. Please note: THESE ARE NOT NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES. They have a noise cancelling MICROPHONE. Noise cancelling headphones have a distinctive light hiss, and actively reduce outside sound, by creating negative noise. These do not do this in any way. They will just make it easier for people on the other end of your game to hear you. It doesn't make it any easier for you to hear them.* Comfortable. I actually have used these for jogging on the treadmill, and I found that there was a little air circulation, which meant I didn't sweat like I thought I would. (I later read that these headphones were designed for this air circulation, which I found was a nice touch.)What I didn't like...- The description on the Amazon product page might need to be rewritten a little bit. It is not misleading, per se, but it can be a little confusing. Many of the reviews for this product are written by people who are touting its noise cancelling abilities, while, in reality, there are no noise cancelling qualities of the headphones, only the microphone. They are good headphones, and the earmuff like speakers do insulate your ears from outside noise, but there is no active noise cancelling interference going on, like with other high end Sennheiser or Bose sets, only insulation from outside noise. If you really want "noise cancellation" as a feature, you'll have to look for higher end headphones.- No volume control or mute button. For serious headphone/mic gaming, a mute button is important, but these headphones don't have one. For headphones, a volume control toggle would have been nice -instead, you have to go to the actual device directly (TV, iPad, or whatever) to adjust the volume.Overall, a nice quality set of headphones. Recommended.

Bought this headset after many a foray into crap and marketing (Turtle Beach, Tritton, Steelseries, Speedlink, etc.)If I could take all of the money back I spent on those headsets and just purchase this one, I would buy it for full retail price. Luckily, I spent $156 for this thanks to a sale and I feel that is a great price for what you get. That having been said, it is expensive but the last headset you will buy. This headset uses the same drivers as the HD595 from Sennheiser. There are numerous reviews on this pair of headphones so i won't go into them. This means that this headset is great for listening to music with as well as gaming. The bass can be lackluster at times if you're used to booming explosions but the positioning is great.Paired with an X-Fi Titanium HD, the positioning on this is third to the AKG K701 and Audiotechnica ATH-AD700. That's not to say that the positioning is terrible and you should buy those headphones over this. This is the best headset you can buy for any sort of competitive gaming where positional audio is necessary. With the other headphones, you'd have to buy a mic (not a big deal), but if you're looking for an all in one solution, this is it.If you need isolation, be aware that these leak sound due to their design. Anyone in the room will be able to hear everything.Pros:Positional audio with CMSS-3D (and I assume Dolby Headphone) is amazing. No trouble locating everything around youFun for musicMic is extremely clear and does well with cancelling background noise; no one has issue hearing me.Open back for larger soundstage (helps with positioning as well as music listening)Like all Senns, these are built well and sturdy.Cons:Price (Although it is a good quality mid-fi headphone with mic attached so the price, even at $220, is pretty good)Cable is cheap and likes to wind itself up, but I'm used to hefty cables like that on Grado, HiFiMan, and Fostex

Good:-Incredibly comfortable: I wear glasses and it is such a relief to have a headset for once that doesn't put those annoying pressure points into your brains.-Fantastic mic: It's nice to be heard clearly but now everyone can hear my funny breathing.-Very immersing sound: Absolutely no bass but the mid and treble are FANTASTIC. Very punchy. Sounds as good as my 6" speakers with a tweeter, except blasted directly into my ear holes.-Awesomely clear sound: Everything is crisp and I listen to a lot of House music, i.e. Daft Punk, which is usually filled with lots of energy and sound in the mid to high ranges. The bass is a little muddled though.-Looks nice: It has an expensive look to it and a sleek, nice feel, albeit it feels a little flimsy.Bad:-Feels a little flimsy: I'm used to $20-$40 headsets and they often have much stiffer plastic and I can beat them up. I'm not so sure about this one.-Weird auto mute: I find the auto mute feature on it odd. I'd rather have no auto mute or a button or something. Just my opinion.-Weird volume control: Again, I find the knob idea odd also. Feels like I'm opening a jar of peanut butter on the side of my head or using an old rotary phone. I'd rather have an inline option or nothing at all. Just my opinion again.-No bass: I would have assumed something that costs $100 and is much larger than cheap earphones would provide more bass than what comes with say, an iPod, but I was wrong.Overall:-Awesome bang for your buck: Fits my budget and head. I don't have a freakishly large or small head but many other brands in the same price range have a funny fit and I have taken them back same day. Same with their sound quality and mic. Terrible in comparison and immediately went back. This is my first Sennheiser and I'm impressed. Despite the lack of bass (I didn't buy them for that anyways), this is $100 worth of incredible clarity and crisp sound great for gaming or casual listening.

Sennheiser makes good headsets. This one will not compete with the best of them, but will give good quality sound. It's too early for me to tell if it's good for the selling price range. Where this excels is its 7.1 sound. After installing the drivers, I decided to try out a Blu-ray disc to see how good the surround sound was. Initially I was hearing sound from both my speakers and the headset. Once I muted the speakers, I started going through a menu (unrelated to the headset) that makes a characteristic click when I go through the options. What was uncanny was the feeling that the sound was still coming from the speakers. I took the headphones off to double check, and sure enough the sound was coming from them. Yet the feeling that it came from 10 feet in front of me was convincing. When I played a Blu-ray disc, the surround kicked in, and it really seemed that I was listening to a surround system. Likewise, the sound was good with games and programs such as Skype. The microphone worked well, was clear, and there was no problem with noise or feedback.Setup was relatively easy. The included disc installs the drivers, and there's a tray icon that allows you to pick 7.1 sound, or any other option you desire. You can also get the latest drivers (the ones on my disc were current) from the senncom (with two n's) website. Under Windows (I'm using Windows 7) with the PC323D set as the default communications device and my speakers set as the default device, I automatically got sound through my speakers for everyday applications and multimedia, and automatically got sound through the headphones for gaming and communications applications. If you want a different configuration, it can be set manually through your OS.The biggest disadvantage for me was the length of the cord. If you sit near a PC when using these, you won't have a problem. If you are set up for games and communications programs with an HDTV display and with a couch ten feet away, it might be a problem. The package includes a USB extension so you can plug things in from across the room. But the headset plugs into an adapter/switch that will end up half way between the PC and the headset. For me, it acted as a weight, making the cord too short.Overall, you get good sound, easy setup, and surround that's spectacular for a headset based system. I would have preferred something wireless for my system, but as of the time I'm writing this, I don't know what the selling price will be.

I began my quest back in late 2010. My objective was to find the best gaming headset for PC. I had been using a pair of Steel Series SteelSound 5H V2 for 3 years and was really unimpressed with the sound quality, so having great sound was a top priority for me. After reading countless reviews, doing hours of research on headphone niche websites, I chose the Sennheiser PC 350 since they were closed back and had fairly good reviews. When I got them, however, I found the sound quality to be far less than I was hoping. The bass was empty and the sound hollow. I next decided to try a very nice set of cans with a clip-on microphone, so my second purchase was a set of Sennheiser HD595 and a Zalman Microphone Zm-Mic1. Well the headphones sounded fantastic, but the microphone quality was beyond terrible. It simply was not tolerable. So I went back to the drawing board, and decided to buy the Beyerdynamic MMX 300, which are basically the Beyerdynamic DT 770 with a nice microphone on them. I was pleased with the sound quality and the sound isolation was perfect (they're closed back headphones) but they weren't particularly adjustable, heavy, and would pinch my head, though my head is pretty large. Also, after a while my ears would get hot so I couldn't use them for extended periods. Then the sound in the left ear started to crackle, so I had to return them. Rather than replacing them, I decided to go with the newer Sennheiser PC360.I was wary about their open design, but after having the HD595 for a week, I decided I could bare outside noise for superior sound quality. As far as I can tell the PC360 use the exact same driver as the HD595, but it has a great sounding boom mic on it. They have velour earpads and are made out of a special light-weight plastic so their comfort is extraordinary. It really is amazing how lightweight they are. The adjustable volume on the right ear is very handy as is the mic auto-mute when you click it up into the stowed position. I really could not be happier with my purchase. They are very open which is a double edged sword. On the plus side, their frequency response is fantastic. I heard details in songs that I never knew were there before. The mids are warm and inviting, the bass is present but not overbearing (as it was in the MMX300), and the highs are crystal clear. They also ventilate well and I've never felt my ears getting remotely hot. On the down side there is absolutely no sound isolation. I can hear almost as clearly with them on as I can with them off, though that's only an issue when I have no sound playing. The sound doesn't bleed out too terribly, but as I use them in my room with the door shut most of the time that isn't really a concern of mine. If I were someone who used their PC in a room with a lot of other noises or people, I would probably look to a closed back set of headphones/headsets.After 5 months of using these for at least 3 hours a day, I would say that I was successful in my quest. In my opinion, the Sennheiser PC360s is the best sounding, most comfortable headset on the market. I would recommend it to almost anyone, with the only exception being people who would be listening in noisy rooms. They having a fairly low impedance, so just about any sound card can run them effectively, however I would recommending making at least some investment into an after market sound card. Also, I would recommend buying a Sennheiser Headphone Holder. It would be nice of Sennheiser to include it with the headset, as they did with the HD595, but I'm ok spending an extra $15 for the convenience of having handy headset storage. I'm thinking my next purchase will be an ASTRO MixAmp so that I can use them with my Xbox 360 & PS3.

I've had my PC350 headset for about four years. They were my first Sennheisers, and I liked them enough to go on to buy a HD598 for when I didn't need a microphone. I've reviewed that one here as well. Amazingly good.Admittedly, the bass was a little flimsy when I got the PC350, mostly due to them being a closed headset with an originally open headset's driver in it. The folks at Head.fi discovered that you could disassemble the headset and (carefully) drill a single 1/8th inch hole in the back of each of the driver enclosures, and that improved things drastically. I tried it, and had great results. The bass totally came to life. That was about two years ago.About a month ago, the pleather on the ear cups started to crack and peel a bit. That was a bummer, but I figured they were near the end of their life after four years of daily use and that was all there was to it. How wrong that was! Instead of the material splitting and breaking like a normal pleather would, I discovered it was just a thin layer of plastic "painted" onto cloth. I carefully peeled it all off and now my PC350 feels just like the velour cups on my HD598. They still look great and I never cared for the pleather, so that was another big improvement. This headset was a four star when I got it. After four years and a couple tweaks, I'm definitely giving it a five.

These are very comfortable. They have a nice long cord that is wrapped- which is awesome because I have had trouble with my cords getting frayed and this really helps extend their life! The microphone works great - I use mine MOSTLY for dictation with Dragon software, but also use them for gaming. They have conventional plugs - not usb- that go into your audio out and your mike in. I have used them with a usb adapter with my PS3 too. Love how easy it is to adjust the volume with the little rotating button on the right ear. These are comfortable even at long sessions writing or gaming. They come with a really nice case in case you need to be mobile with them. The case itself is well made and not bulky. I own several pair of high end headphones and Sennheiser continues to be my favorite. When I got my first pair, I thought that they might not last because the materials are fairly lightweight, but I've not destroyed a pair yet, even though I've dropped them between my headboard and mattress, off the side of the bed, my cat has tried to eat them...they seem pretty indestructible. Sound quality is excellent and the volume range is good - they go up loud enough to satisfy but I not so loud I worry about them being too loud if I turn the button all the way. Bass response is great in the games- handles the explosions very clearly and well. Great noise reduction and the mic is good at isolating sound. I am able to dictate and the mike picks up words EVEN when there is a gaming session going on in the house that I'm not involved in.When you want to quit using the mike, you just push it up and it cuts off.I love these. :)

I have worn this headset for 40 hours a week for four years now. That's over 8000 hours! The ear pads are doing well, the headband has not cracked, the cable has not shorted, and they are essentially in perfect condition. I take them off and put them back on a dozen or more times a day and the cord frequently gets curly and twisted, but it has held up well even with my chair running over the cord occasionally. I have dropped the headset from several feet high onto a hard floor countless times. Simply put, this headset is extremely durable.Having worn this headset as much as I have, I can say that it is quite comfortable, even with my big ears. The ear pads can get a little sweaty, but I work in a cool office so it's not really a problem. They're not any more or any less sweat inducing than other circumaural headphones I have used. The audio quality is excellent. The bass is definitely there, it's just balanced out and not overwhelming or overly emphasized. I'm driving mine with a Behringer UCA202.The mic is about as good as you can get on a headset like this. I mostly use the mic for phone calls with Cisco IP Communicator.Sure there are better headphones out there for less money, but not better headsets. If you use your headset for professional communication, but also want great headphones for music, get these. Clip on mics are terrible.

I bought these primarily to use while playing MMO's and so far they're excellent. the sound quality is outstanding (not 'tinny' or too bass filled) everything is exactly as should be (I generally don't go for the normal head phones and have monitor style recording head phones so am used to hearing things as they should be rather than altered through certain speaker types). The mic quality is good and according to people listening everything is crystal clear and at a decent volume straight out the box, speaking of the box, or rather the packaging, was nice and everything was well covered/secured.I researched for around 12 hours total before opting for these and found razer are hit and miss with their QC, Logitech are arguably better than Senn, and would of been my next choice if these 330's didn't workout (I have almost exclusively Logitech peripherals so took a chance on these Senn's), but I wont be sending these back :)I know some people have mentioned them being 'too tight' well, I find them tight until I find the correct placement on my head, I have to wear them slightly different than my better half to have them comfortable, once the sweet spot is found then they're VERY comfortable and do a good job of limiting external sound without completely eliminating it all. I also really like the mute mic feature and love the volume control on the right ear piece.I would, and in fact already have, recommend/ed this headset for gaming purposes.

I've never spent more than $50 on a computer / gaming headset. Why?1. I'm cheap. . .uh, I mean frugal2. I never saw the point in itBut the more I play MMO (massive multiplayer online) games, the need to participate in online conversation becomes greater. The problem with nearly every headset under $50, is not the mic, but ears start to hurt from the headphones pressing on them. These headphones are great, because the headphones fit around the ears.I've watched several movies now, done online work training and gamed for several hours with the headphones not causing any discomfort. The mic is nice and receptive, and I do like the feature that mutes you automatically when you put the mic in the up position. The sound is great! But I expect nothing less from Sennheiser. Especially in some games, the ambient sounds are very thorough and full, which really helps create the mood. These are also noise cancelling headphones. My wife tried to get my attention a couple of times while I was watching a movie and she failed, because I heard nothing external.I'm more than willing to try a lower-end sennheiser because I'm not really sure $250 is giving you that much more than something highly rated around $100 (such as SteelSeries Siberia V2 Full-Size Gaming Headset (White)).OVERALL: Yes, it's Sennhieser and you're paying for it. But you know you're getting a super high quality item.Yes, there are other less expensive options on the market that may be comparable, but there's no second guessing these headphones.

I just recently jumped back into the market for new headphones. After a bit of research I grabbed a pair of Bose AE2's, but I also spend a good deal of time gaming and decided to double-dip for a headset to compare. In terms of audio quality and comfort for the respective price, I'm sorry to say that Bose absolutely trumps Sennheiser. The AE2's are lightweight and comfy as can be, with excellent audio quality and good audio balance. The 350's are a good fit, but not nearly as cushy, roughly double the weight (just enough to make your neck hurt a bit), clamp down a bit too much for comfort, and above all, have a greatly inferior audio quality. It sounds fine in the middle of the spectrum but as you move into stronger instances of either treble or bass those sounds becomes unbalancedly overpowered and lose clarity, resulting in complete obliteration of accompanying instruments if you're listening to music, and just a low-clarity assault on your ears if you're playing an action-oriented game. After a single Team Fortress 2 match with these on, my neck, head, and ears were all aching slightly.I have not yet found a headset of better quality within my price range, but after being spoiled by my Bose headphones, I just can't use these. I will say however that the mic is of amazing quality compared to my old desktop mic. It doesn't eliminate ambient noise very well, but does capture at a nice quality and doesn't seem to generate any hiss.

I have been using this headset for the past couple of weeks at work. I have mostly used it for listening to music, but I have also used it for phone calls on our VoIP system. It is very comfortable. The headset feels light on my head, yet it seems pretty sturdy. The ear pads are soft and the top of the headband portion is also padded. I can wear it for a whole day without feeling any discomfort at all.The sound quality on this headset is very nice. The other headphones I own are mid-range Sony models (specifically the MDR-V150 and MDR-NC7/BLK). This headset compares very nicely to those. The sound is very crisp and it seems to better reproduce a higher range of frequencies than the Sony headphones do.Another nice feature of this headset is its long cord. At three meters (9 ft), it's long enough to reach to the back of my computer tower on the floor next to my desk with plenty of slack to spare. The cord only goes into one side of the headset, which I personally find more convenient than when a separate cord goes into each ear.The microphone also seems to work well. It can be adjusted to be at the right angle for your mouth. It also can be folded up to be out of the way when you're not speaking and just want to listen for a while. Other Sennheiser headsets offer a feature that disables the microphone when you fold it all the way up. This is not one of those headsets; the microphone is always live.A different reviewer commented that the headset doesn't work well for people who have smaller heads. This does not surprise me much. While I don't know my exact hat size, I imagine my head is probably no smaller than average. I have to adjust the headband on my Sony headphones out a few notches for them to fit me properly. By contrast, this headset fits me pretty much perfectly on the smallest setting.Bottom line: if your head is in the medium to large category, you really can't go too wrong with this headset. If you have a smaller head, you may want to try this on before purchasing to see if it will work for you.*** UPDATE ***I have been using this headset for music and VoIP phone calls pretty much all day, every day at work for a few months now. It's still going strong.

Our household has a variety of headphone users in it. We have PC gamers, PS3 gamers, avid music listeners, and even those who use headphones to watch TV.One of the people in our household who has a rather small ear and who listens to music, radio, and laptop via headphones and also uses a microphone for various computer programs feels that these headphones do not have the depth of sound at all and are not as nice as her Swagger headphones (not very expensive) and she just was not impressed by the microphone either compared to her other set which she got from a foreign language program she uses. She didn't like that they didn't protect from room noise enough. She gave these headphones 2 stars.I have another sound FANATIC who is a complete sound addict. He has a variety of EXPENSIVE headphones including the wireless Turtlebeach Earforce PX5. He uses them for everything from music to gaming on PC to PS3 and also for movie and TV watching. He is big on sound and it having to be JUST SO. He tried these headphones out and liked them a lot. He said the sound was great and the microphone also decent. He thought they were comfortable and a decent buy for the price. He said five stars.I tried these headphones and thought they were good, but the comfort was a bit of an issue for me- like they were a bit too small or something. They didn't feel as comfortable as others I have used, but I am not a big headphone fanatic, so I think I could get used to these. The sound was good and the mic seemed fine to me. I give these four stars. All in all, between all of the ratings in our household, I went with four stars as the final tally. I only wish they could be converted to be able to be used on a PS3 more easily and I would probably use them more than on my PC, but they are still nice to have for PC games and software that needs speaking and hearing in order to run.

I tested out the Sennheiser PC 310 headset with a few games to see how they sounded. They sounded great. On the old classic Max Payne, the voice of Max had the deep base, deep like the feeling of despair of a cop with nothing to lose in a world willed with the wicked. In Deus Ex: Human Revolution the crisp sounds of gunshots and explosions riddles my ears with excitement as I punched the lights out of the unsuspecting bad guys.Flying my Odyssey class cruiser in Star Trek Online sounded better than before as I heard all the details of the game clearly, from the deeps of a console to the sound of my engines.I also tested the headphones on my Audigy card and the onboard sound. Both had good sound and the differences would be due to the hardware and not the headphones. There was a clear forward and sides to the sound, but any behind sounds didn't sound very distinct aside from they were in both ears. I'm not familiar with enough headphones to know if others have better surround sound capabilities. What I was using before the headphones was Creative 5.1 speakers but not set into a surround pattern (not a good way to do it where I live.) I think the headphones are better alternative if I want to get the best sound experience as I have a neighbor down below and if the kids are asleep, I don't have to keep it even lower. You can still hear noises occurring outside the headset assuming you don't have it blasting, but that's fine, as I need to hear things sometimes, like my kids causing havoc, for example. It's good to note the noise canceling is for the microphone, not the speakers. The best test I could manage for the microphone was to call the Skype test service. I talked next to my loud computer and on the replay I could still hear myself clearly, so the computer noises didn't overwhelm the voice. The headphones are comfortable and rest comfortable on my head and don't press hard against my ears. They gave my ears minimal headphone bend strain. If you have the cash to drop on these headphones, they are of fine quality both in sound and comfort and will likely be what you are looking for.

The first headset's microphone did not work. Amazon sent a replacement headset while arranging for UPS pickup of my the defective headset. It was worth the wait.Dragon Naturally Speaking includes a headset with the program. Without noise cancellation the microphone needs a very quiet room as well as the microphone volume set as loud as possible. The free headset is difficult for long term wear. The Sennheiser PC 31-II more than fulfills the dictation role. Noise cancelling microphone's sensitivity aids my dictation to be picked up at a normal volume in a room with a television on. Sound quality excels for open on-ear ear pads at this price. Music, games, and video are crystal with unexpectedly great responsiveness from full bass to thrilling high range. As others have mentioned, the PC 31-II light comfortable fit allows one to forget the headset is being worn. I'm quite pleased with the headset for dictation, playing games or listening music. For the price range, the Sennheiser PC 31-II is hard to beat. KEVIN aka "DocPayne"

After using a pair of Logitech G930's, I went and buy an analog headset with a sound card, not only does the quality increase, but the comfort is day/night on these; I've used the G930's for several hours and once i took them off i had that sore pain where the cup was held around my ear, on the Sennheiser 350SE I can wear them above 10 hours straight and take them off without leaving any mark of pain or use, it feels like cloud around your ears. The sound quality on the other hand is outstanding, with 150 Ompedance and using an Asus xonar essence STX has made my music, movies and games a lot more immersive, I watched the trilogy of LOTR in one sit with these and it was amazing, just needed to tweak them and fine-tune them on the mixer to give me that great cinematic feel, it did it's job better than expected, as for gaming it has increased my reaction time and whereabouts of where the sound is coming from like I've never experienced before and exciting all-time play.I would get another set of these if necessary, and highly recommend them if you are purchasing a sound card as well!

I currently use the Sennheiser PC 363D High Performance Surround Sound Gaming Headset and I have to say that I like the 363's better. Let me compare the two:363--sound quality is refined, better clarity and better high-end sound. (363 Wins)350--sound quality is excellent throughout the range, but lacks the extreme clarity of the 363 (that said, unless you're comparing them side by side, as I did, you're probably not going to notice).363--USB cable connection. I prefer this, as it's more usable and can cross over to different inputs (keyboards, pc's etc). (363 Wins)350--pc cables only (one for mic, one for sound). This is as equally convenient if you're just using it on your pc. In fact, if you lack USB input availability, this might be a plus.363--comfortable. VERY comfortable.350--comfortable. Also VERY comfortable. (Tie)363--raise the boom for muting the mic...this is convenient.350--the same... (Tie)363--doesn't fold up flat, comes with a bag-case.350--folds flat and comes with a very nice hard(er) case. (350 Wins)363--cable is nice and long, regular cables.350--cable is not quite as long, but is coated with fabric and does not tangle. (350 Wins)So, depending on your use--the 350's might be better. The prices are nearly the same (363s are 299 today, 350s are 250), so if you're a heavy user, or just very picky, that's not really an issue.I hope this helps...
