I own both the PC350 and the PC360. If i were to recommend 1 of them it would be the PC350. Both headsets have great audio and recording capability. Used with ventrilo other users can hear me crystal clear. The main difference between the two, is that:The PC360...... is open air meaning that you can hear outside noise while wearing them which gives a slightly better sound because you cant hear the headset moving around on your head (eg tapping the earcup)....volume control and mute switch are on the headset itself which i like better than being in the cord(PC350)...The earcups do not pivot much which makes the headset tight on my head personally, and are made of velour not leather which will last longer however can be harder to clean when needed especially if you spill something on them....The headset is heavier than the PC350 but still very light.Overall if you want a headset i would recommend the PC350 or the PC360

the ear cups on these are rather large - sort of more oblong than round. the sound wasn't as good as the studio pro 280s by a long shot. the microphone was absolutely excellent, until one day it died. the fit of the headset was heavier than the 280s and not as comfortable. also these were super expensive. now that the mic died I went back to the 280s until I purchased some different brands--tried the ear force x13s (nice fit and feel and sound and excellent mic except the usb interface on those makes an annoying background noise for me and the inline volume/mute switch seems to be sensitive to wifi noise) and the razer cariachas (nice sound and excellent mic but fit is for a larger head than mine).

These headphones really enhanced my gaming experience and took it to the next level. I, personally, have never used gaming headphones before, so I sort of feel like someone gave me a BMW for my first car. Of course, the sound was incredible, I had no idea how much of the audio features were lost on me without using these headphones. Also, I was very impressed with the comfort of these headphones, so they should work well for people who play for long periods of time. The headphones are very high-quality as far as materials and workmanship, and the case is perfect for storage and protection. (Which is usual for Sennheiser and what you would expect from their products.) I did not, as yet, test out the mic function. All in all, while the price means a significant investment, this should be totally worth it for those who thrive on gaming. I, personally, highly recommend these headphones.

These are decent headphones for the price. The 10 foot cord is handy if you want to sit back from the set. They are reasonably comfortable and fairly light weight. Like any headset they can become annoying if worn for a long time. The sound is as good or better than any headset that I've tried in this price range. Voices and music seem clear. I wish it had volume control on the headset. That is a nice feature and more and more headsets seem to be dropping this, I assume to save costs. The microphone works well. Overall I can recommend this if you are looking for a decent, corded gaming or music headset.

These are nice headphones: 10 foot cord is handy, low "clamping" force on the wearer's head, noise cancelling mic makes it easy for the listeners to hear you, comfortable for several hours of use, good base response and all-around sound. Some minuses: No volume control on the unit. Since they are earmuff-style they may seem big to users that typically use ear buds. For those of who don't like ear buds, however, they are a nice alternative. No USB adapter, included. There are better models in the market, but generally at a higher price. These are a good middle of the road choice.

Nothing specialI was looking for much better sound and quality out of these after reading all the great reviews. The headphones are totally plastic – except for the speakers. I had a cheap pair of headphones for half the price and got the same sound. I have ear buds that sound better and have much more volume control. I am not sure why, but there is not much volume on these headphone, maybe they require more power than a tablet can provide….not sure. I guess I should have spent a little more money and got a better set of headphones. My overall opinion of the headphone are – nothing worth bragging about with this set, and would not recommend them unless they were priced a lot lower, maybe $20.

This is my first experience with headsets and I initially questioned whether it would be an advantage. In hindsight, I now wish I would have used headsets years ago. This headset was used on a Mac and worked fine for about a week or so, after which one side appeared silent. The headset has two little prongs that plug into a microphone and earphone jacks. Tried jiggling wires and looking for loose or broken connection with no result. I also tried it on a Windows laptop with the same result. On another note, I also ordered a Logitec headset at the same time I ordered the Sennheiser - the Logitec has a volume control which the Sennheiser does not, and I questioned whether that was necessary. Don't know who came up with that idea, but it's great! It also utilizes a USB type of plugin. (The Logitec works fine, by the way.# The reason I ordered two different types was two-fold: one, to avoid an all-eggs-in-one-basket scenario which, in hindsight #of which I have an abundance), was good thinking. Secondly, I didn't want to tie up the last USB port on my Mac. Now I'll see about returning the Sennheiser.

So I got this headset after a week of research and looking around for the best deals. I got this model to replace my Logitech G35 which recently broke after falling from my desk chair which was merely 2 feet high. So obviously I was looking for a durable replacement. First of all the sound quality is amazing. it sounds crisper and clearer than the G35. they are much lighter and more comfortable. too comfortable in fact that I am afraid I might forget that I have them on and leave and yank the PC tower along with me. now this is not a noise canceling headset which I actually prefer because I want to hear what is going around me as well, so these are amazing for LAN parties. you have the option of switching between 5.1 and 7.1 which is nice this way you can do with whatever the game supports. I bought them for $127 form bestbuy website. My only Con is that the cord is too thin (about 3mm diameter) they could have made it thicker or replaced it with a more durable cord.

First off, these are a great sounding pair of headphones that have an easy circumaural fit and are quite light on your head. The microphone works great for voice as well based on feedback I got from other end of the communication. The microphone has a cool feature that goes mute when you flip it up in the vertical position and turns itself on when you bring it in front of your mouth. A volume calibrator is built as a large disk rocker on the right ear cup. I found the volume too easy to turn though, so it is easy to get it reset/changed with the simplest touch or adjustment, requiring extra adjustments. As I mentioned, the stereo sound out the the headphones is great and close enough to the Sennheiser HD280s I used before that I am not missing those. However, I will take a pass on the whole 3D imaging support for this. It feels like they are playing some slight time delay/echo games with the various sound frequencies to try to believe your sound stage is bigger than it is, but I found that to happen at a cost of loss of sound definition. If I were to judge the sound quality with full 3D effects turned on all the time probably "meh..." is the best I could come up with. Turning back to pure stereo and the sound again is fully defined across all frequencies and music sounds great again.Even though this is a "gamer" set, I have only used DVD and music source material to listen on this headset, so I can't speak to how games might use this differently from a 5.1 or 7.1 sound source from a DVD.

These headphoness sound great. They have some thump at the low end that's really nice without being overpowering and everything I've listened to with them sounds great. The problem is the surround.I really didn't get any surround sound experience from them. The headphones come with a usb sound card that fits inline with the headphone plugs. I disabled all my other sound cards and devices just to make sure I was using only the included sound card's processing. Even running the included speaker setup on Vista, the surround effect just wasn't noticable. I had high hopes - I went to Dolby's site and listened to the demos using a regular set of earbuds and was expecting the same or similar performance. It just wasn't here. You can turn on the dolby headphone setting by sliding the clear plastic piece on the usb sound card. The unit then lights up and the icon in the system tray turns blue to let you know it's on. To me, the only difference in sound was that it does create a more dispersed sound-field, sounding like things are around you vs. inside the center of your head, but you can't actually pinpoint any sounds. Additionally, the vocals then sound like they have an echo - like being in a tunnel or cave. It's very distracting, especially when there's no background noise in a movie or sequence. Again, there just wasn't any decent surround sound experience when watching a movie with them.I didn't have problems with the comfort of the headband - it wasn't too tight and my ears fit completely inside the earmuffs. By design, they're closed in order to block out ambient noise. Therefore, they will trap heat. The microphone is nice and the fact that you can rotate it up out of the way is great for when you're not using it. It's very thick and durable, but can still be flexed to increase the space from your mouth. The cord only comes from the left ear, which is also nice, and the right ear has the built-in volume control and can be tilted about 30 degrees forward or to the rear of your head. This lets you listen to the audio on your left ear and have an open ear to ambient noise. The set also comes with a nice usb extension cable and bag. Without using the extension, the soundcard/Dolby Headphone switch sits within inches of your usb port. USing the cable let you get it closer to your hands for easy access.Maybe others will have a better surround sound experience, but I wouldn't buy another pair based on this feature and how poorly it performed for me. I was lucky to receive this pair for free to evaluate. If the surround feature really worked well, it would be a great headset.

My title says it all. I voip about 4 hours a day, and the clarity and responsiveness of the Sennheiser PC 31 is great. I also use this headset to dictate speech - and it works exceptionally well. Most important is that this headset is extremely well constructed. Over the past two years, I have dropped it, slammed it, sat on it, and yanked it out of my computer more times that I care to count - and it still works when other headsets I have owned have failed. If I ever need to, I will buy this headset again in a heartbeat.

This is the best headset I've ever owned. The large earcups are amazing and make the headset very comfortable to wear. The sound is pure and crisp in both gaming and music. I definitely would recommend a decent sound card to go with this to get the full effect. The microphone sounds clear and I haven't had any problems with background noise coming through. I've never used an open air headset before so I was kind of nervous about that. I can definitely hear things around me, but overall when I'm in a game or listening to music I don't notice any background noise whatsoever. The volume control on the right earcup is probably my favorite feature. It's much nicer than looking for a tiny wheel on your cord and it allows quicker access which is always good when gaming. You will have a hard time finding a better headset for gaming that isn't overpriced for what you're getting.

The headset is amazing. It is comfortable and elegant, as well as dynamic with its conformational settings.Be warned, though, for the Pros and Cons are rather objective, based on the buyer.Once over the ears, the headset does a phenomenal job at cancelling out ambient noise from your hearing of your neighbor -- you may enjoy this or you may not.Something that does seem to be a downside is that, with extended play, the earmuffs insulate your ears, and they get warm, even to the point of sweating (this is after a rather long time, so I don't find it to be a huge problem).Nonetheless, if they poked holes in it, it would do a more poor job at cancelling noise. So, the scales are balanced, and I recommend the product.

Hello,I have had many Sennheiser headphones, this is one of the better ones.Sound quality is awesome ... as you'd expect. (3D thing makes things sound soo much more natural).USB connection is great as it installs as a separate device that you can control better. Easy install.On-headphone sound volume is great.I wish the mic was detachable, I don't use it often.I wish they had slightly bigger earcovers, they are a bit hard to get comfortable, squeeze my head too much.Very durable, including cable, I ran over it with a char main times now. I wish it was detachable though (from headphones). They aren't actively noise canceling, only the padding etc, which works ok, like any other over ear closed headphone.Recommended on sale or such, full price though is a bit much.Cheers.

I used to have several 40mm driver headsets and decided to get a high-end ones for games and music. this headsets is designed for mostly games. But I found it to be enjoyable for both music and games. it sounds clear, clean, and deep in details. craftmanship is of high quality materials. its two earcubs are considerably bigger than 40mm driver ones. cushions around earcubs and headband are very soft and comfy. the mic is big and rugged. the wire is covered with plastic/silicone which is very durable. it's quite big overall, but it's not heavy. the only two drawbacks is if you have a really big head, the headband will absolutely squeeze your ears and make it un-comfy. finally, you have to get above average soundcard to get the most out of it. I setup this headsets with asus xonar essence stx and it sounds fantastic. Now I know the difference between great sound and bad noise. And remember that the equation of great sound equals excellent headsets/speakers plus excellent soundcard/high-end onboard audio chip mobo.

I use headphones extensively both in my apartment and on public transportation and have experimented with earbuds, over-the-ear headphones, etc. In thirty years of using headphones I've never worn a pair more comfortable than these; you forget they're on, they are so comfortable, and you could wear them for hours on end with no discomfort at all. The sound range is excellent, for music as well, but they really thrive in a gaming environment, providing excellent sound depth and a real 3D illusion. The booklet that comes with them says the microphone only works with Windows, but I had no trouble using this with Dragon Dictate on the Mac with no software installation whatsoever (Lion and Mountain Lion auto-recognize the headphones and mic). I actually gave away the other gaming headset I used previous to this; while it did an excellent job, it simply couldn't compare to the Sennheiser. These are top-notch headphones made by a company that very obviously knows what it's doing. I give them my highest possible recommendation. If you need new USB headphones, gaming or otherwise, you really couldn't ask for a better product than this.

Sennheiser PC 310 Gaming HeadsetI have used these headphones to listen to music, make phone calls and play video games. The sound quality is very good.Comfort Level: These are generally pretty comfortable. They don't start to hurt my ears until after 1.5 or 2 hours - and a quick adjustment usually remedies that. They can also get a little hot sometimes, but they never made me sweat. The Mic: The mic works well. The recipient can hear me clearly without any static or interference.Music: I plugged these into my laptop and listened to several genres, including rap, techno, rock `n' roll, alternative, etc. The PC 310 gave rich playback for all the genres. The sound is balanced, crisp, and covers a wide range. Bass notes represent, but without overpowering the rest of the music.Video Games: I only played "Dead Space 2" with these headphones. The game hardly has any music, but ambient sound effects are very important for establishing the horror atmosphere and listening for enemy ambushes. As such, using the PC 310 definitely enhanced the experience. The only possible drawbacks for me are that they are kind of big - these are my first "ear-muff" style headphones. The other is that my family tells me that they can hear whatever I am hearing if the volume is too high. For this price, the Sennheiser PC 310 headphones are an excellent buy. I hghly recommend them.

I bought the Sennheiser PC 31-II to replace my old Logitech USB headset, which had the advantages of fitting behind the head and folding up to fit in its own hard plastic travel case. Well, the Sennheiser has neither feature. Furthermore, as another reviewer has observed, it is NOT a USB headset. I was vaguely aware of the fact, so I figured to plug the Sennheiser's mini-plugs into the Logitech's old mini-to-USB connector. That worked perfectly. The Logitech supplies its own drivers, the Sennheiser none. No problem there either. The only difficulty was figuring out that, to listen to music via Windows Media Player, I had to make the "Logitech" headset the default speakers for my Windows 7 laptop.So. Mission accomplished. Music (the New Leviathan Oriental Foxtrot Orchestra) sounds great, and the girlfriend rags me (via Skype) for not having replaced the old headset months ago.

Most headsets have the volume control far down on the cable. The PC 360 has a built-in volume dial on the right ear cup, making controlling the sound much more intuitive. Because in the heat of the game, isn’t the volume button the last thing you want to look for? Give them a try you'll see for your self..

As others have said, the sound quality on these headphones is superb at this price point. Sennheiser knows how to make a great sounding headphone! Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon is what I use to compare speakers or headphones, and it sounds like it is supposed to. Actually very surprising for the price.I'm mainly reviewing these in order to add the following info to the prior reviews. The Sennheiser PC 151, connected using a Headset Buddy connector, works great on my Blackberry 8300. I was having trouble with bluetooth devices disconnecting and reconnecting during conference calls, so I decided to start using a wired headset. I bought the Headset Buddy connector and tried a headset that I had lying around, an old iHome IH-H410UR. Other people on my conference calls were complaining about lots of static and distortion. I called another number of mine and left a message, and I see what they were complaining about. It was as if the mic was sending out too strong of a signal and being clipped somewhere along the line. So I decided to give a better headset a try. With the Sennheiser PC 151 (connected via the Headset Buddy connector to my Blackberry 8300), this is not a problem. It sounds fabulous on the receiving end, and on my end as well. The headset is pretty comfortable so far, for hour long calls. I'm not sure I'd want to wear them all day but an hour at a time is ok for me.

The only issue i have with them is that they aren't as snug on my head as my old ones so if i put these on and i look down they come right off my head. Otherwise they are a good pair. Make sure you have a computer that has a mic input and head phone input as these use two connectors.

Although I am not much of a gamer, I have a young friend who is something of an expert among his age bracket. This 12-year-old spends hours and hours playing online games and seems to go through headsets like they are disposable. Given a chance to "test drive" the Sennheiser PC 310 Gaming Headset, he found them to be much better than any other headphones that he has ever used. They are durable and stable, if somewhat bulky, and he believes them to be a good product with only one drawback.Set up is quite easy of this headset. All you have to do is plug it in and go. For a 12-year-old with a kid-sized head, this headset was somewhat bulky. However, even though large, the headset is cushioned enough to be comfortable. While this product does an excellent job minimizing outside noise, the microphone seems to distort or blur sound somewhat. At times (randomly, it seems) the voice sounds either completely inhuman or like it is coming from under water. This is a little bit frustrating, and it is due to this issue that I've knocked my rating down from 5 to 4 stars.Overall, my pint-sized gamer friend gives this product a thumbs-up. He wears this headset for hours a day (or at least as long as his mother will allow!) and is happier with them than with any pair he has had (and broken) in the past. I can't envision my young friend giving these up willingly any time in the future. Regardless of the microphone issue, he is hooked.

As an online gamer, I've gone through countless headsets over the past several years. Most of them have had earpieces snap off (who knows how, I am never rough with my electronics) or have simply stopped working altogether one day. I played for months with a god-awful USB headset whose plug was extremely faulty and mis-sized. It would not fit snugly in the hole, and if my laptop was ever bumped in the slightest, the headset's plug would shift just a tad, and my laptop would switch to using my speakers. This was an absolutely horrible experience, especially considering that I had blown $40 on that headset. When it became too much, I headed to both RadioShack and Walmart to seek a replacement... only to find that I had already purchased almost every single headset in their collections.I am a very small girl, only 5' 4", so it is hard for me to use headsets with large earpieces. Unfortunately, this means that I am stuck with the more lightweight headsets, which are almost always of poor sound and voice quality. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when this little gem arrived in the mail! If you're in need of a cheap, but good quality lightweight headset, you can't get any better than this. The sound quality is not as good as my last headset, or the $50 Sony earbuds that I use while listening to my mp3 player, but it is still pretty good. The bass quality is what surprised me the most; it is very good. The microphone quality seems to be pretty good; I have not have any complaints, only comments that I "sound different." I like that this headset has a volume control on the cord. I think that it could use a mute button for the microphone too, but that's just me. By the way, this is NOT a USB headset; it plugs into your audio jacks. Just in case anyone was unaware. :) Overall this was a great purchase and I am quite satisfied!EDIT November 5, 2012 -- For those concerned about durability: I have owned this headset for over a year and have had no problems whatsoever. I am a student living in St. Louis with my parents living in Pennsylvania, and several times a year I am forced to pack up my enormous 17" laptop, cooling pad, external hard drive, etc. as well as some books and handheld video games, and this headset. My backpack is an average-sized student backpack, and after I finish packing it for a trip home, it is STUFFED. I take it on airplanes as a carry-on item, and it just barely fits under the seat in front of me. Needless to say, it's a pretty tight squeeze for all of the items inside. But this headset has held up amazingly well. I have absolutely no problems with it and would still highly recommend it.
