hahahahaa people need to shut up... hahaha i mean who think that a sucky sucky on-board audio card can drive this baby? i mean hello? impedance of 150.... well sooo i had to wait awhile to buy the sound card i wanted.. so i ended up with the xonar stx. and im overwhelm with the sound quality! its amazing.. the base is powerful and are good for gaming pretty good for my music, and movies .. since im watching in blu ray.. i get a higher quality of sound .. and it sounds amazing .... buy if you got the money to afford a good sound card

Great headphones. Only thing is they keep your head nice and warm to the point the fabric kinda irritates my skin. The sound quality and the mic work great everything I expected out of sennheiser.

I dont have much to say about these either way. In general the headset worked great and had wonderful sound. I use these to listen to music but also as my primary telephone at work (VOIP). The first set I ordered began to have issues with the mute button after about two weeks. I returned them and got a replacement set. About two weeks later the mute button stopped working on those as well. Unfortunately I really need Mute for when im on conference calls etc. Im returning these and going with a different brand.

GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK. ONLY WISH IT HAD AN INLINE VOLUME CONTROL, BUT IT IS A VERY GOOD HEADSET. VERY SATISFIED. LIGHT WEIGHT.

First off, I started getting really worried after reading some of the reviews regarding the lack of bass these phones have along with how "shrill" the highs are.I use these with a steelseries adapter, and simple Fiio amp in conjunction with my Xbox.Sound: Awesome, the bass is all there, some might mix up low, good quality bass with "no bass", but I promise you, those are the people that are only used to low quality "boomy" bass. These are a pleasure to listen to, either with music or with gaming. Crystal clear highs, undistorted, clear open lows.I play alot of Halo 3 online, and these bad boys took me by surprise the first time I used them. I was shooting and AR (Yes, I was just playing with the different guns, they sound alot different with these headphones), and the bass was making my ears flutter!Mic: Very nice! Clear and pretty sensitive, sounds way better than my stock xbox headset!Hands down, the best headset I have used! Dont buy into the Astro "surround" hype, many pro gamers use these, including the MLG pros Triggers Down.

Without a doubt it's comfortable for long hours at a time (14+ hours in WoW and on TS3). I've tried all kinds of headsets but I keep coming back to my trusty Sennheiser PC 151. I'll probably stick with them from now on for my headset needs.

I used it with Skype, Google voice and also my mobile phone using a converter. The sound quality is amazing, and the noise canceling for the mic also works like a charm. Yesterday I talked for 3+ hours and it was comfortable experience .

I've owned a pair of HD 600s for about 10 years, so I know how good Sennheiser cans can sound. Unfortunately these PC 350s really let me down. The sound has a sort of plastic echo quality like the reverberations of a cheap plastic speaker cabinet, probably due to the fact that they're closed instead of open. People have complained about the bass lacking on these, but I didn't find that to be an issue when using a proper headphone amp.These headphones are also a bit tight on my head, unlike the super comfy HD 600s. They also get really hot really quickly.But the real deal breaker, at least for me, is the microphone. This mic has a filter to help isolate your voice from background noise. I guess I have a pretty low voice because the filter doesn't always let it through. If I talk like a chipmunk it works great, otherwise I clip out and people have trouble hearing me.I really wanted to like this headset, but unfortunately I will be returning it.

I will preface this review by saying that because this is the first headset I've purchased, I have no real basis for comparison.I have owned this headset for about a week now and am pleased with my purchase. The sound quality is quite good with although it does have a bit of trouble with deep pounding base (I'm a big fan of trance/techno). The microphone is great quality and offers clear communication without scratching. The chord is thick and sturdy with generous length that makes moving around short distances possible. The comfort is acceptable although with extended use tension is caused; I usually take them off ever hour or so to give my head a break. The cups sometimes cause my ears to overheat but I haven't found this to be a constant or big issue.My main complaint with these is that they don't feel like their worth the more than $200 asking price. I managed to get these for around $120 new (around 50% off)from amazon so I am pleased with my buy. The cups are made of cheap, thin plastic and the headset does not have that nice solid feel/weight one associates with something of high quality. I would not pay full price for this headset if I had to.4/5.

I received this headset a few days ago. I have to say this is by far the best fitting and best sounding headset I have ever had.The microphone is noise canceling which is a real benefit as I often have background and traffic noise to contend with.The sound quality of the speakers is by far the best I have heard. The volume level is more than adequate. The bass is very apparent without sounding muddy or overpowering.The microphone is very directional. I move the microphone just a couple inches away from my mouth and the person I am talking to cannot hear me. A real benefit if I am on the phone.Overall I give this headset an east 5 out of 5 stars across the board.

I've had this headset for about 2 years or more, and it's still 100%. One of the earphones goes low and high when you put the volume to max, but that's because it was banged on the desk a while ago! If that hadn't of happened, it would be like-new still. Very durable, long-lasting, definitely recommended for gaming.

Only complaint is that the inline volume on the cord doesn't lower the volume all the way but that is easily over looked considering keyboard shortcuts to lower volume etc.... if I need sound muted for a second etc... but other than that these are the most perfect pair of headphones/set I have ever owned and I'd buy them for any friend I felt deserved a pair and I definitely recommend them to anyone who loves quality and doesn't spending a few dollars to get it.

This product is amazing. The sound quality is incredible, the Mic is really clear; while I don't mind looking like a football coach, the price was high. If you have the money, definitely BUY THIS, but if you're scrapped for cash, you can get a decent quality headset anywhere.

My quest to find a good pair of gaming headphones has led me to the PC 350. These headphones are prime, if you have a headphone amp. Its worth spending the extra bit to get one with these- I was able to get approx. 10db with a amp I spent about 30 bucks on and it made a world of difference. The mic is perfect on mine, the clearest I've had for sure but then again this is my first pair of high end headphones so I don't have much to compare it to. Music sounds great, I would bet an audiophile would find something to complain about but then again they're never happy.The only con for me is that the mic is not removable. After spending that kind of cheddar, I still can't take to the streets because I don't want to be waling around with a mic on my head. Not worth losing a star, still a 5 star product in my book. It is worth the money and it does circles around Logitech's headset all day.

I have used the headset for a few days. They seem rugged. The sound quality is excellent. The people I call over Yahoo Voice Call say my voice sounds very good. I wore them for 14 hour flight where I watched 5 movies. They were very confortable. I previously had an old Logitech head set and they started to hurt my ears after about 1 hour.

i reviewed many headsets and am happy to have chosen the senheisser's. extremely comfortable after 8 hours use excellent sound quality microphone swings up and away and mute to double as headphones.not any complaints,highly recommend.feed from creative fatality gamer pro card and windows 7 with all the bell and whistles from dell xps 9100 system-it rocks.

I've been playing online PC games for nearly 10 years, and using voice chat in conjunction almost as long. Over the years I've used (and broken) many headsets. Logitech, Plantronics, Altec Lansing, etc. I've tried them all, and this is easily the best I've ever tried.PROS:1. Comfort. You can wear these for hours and not have any aches or discomfort. The ear pads actually fit 100% around your ears, not ON them, so they aren't pressed. The top headband has nice soft padding.2. Sound. I'm not an audio expert, but this is the best sounding headset I've used. There seems to be a great volume range. When chatting with people I often have the game sound turned WAY down, to about 10%. Even that low these headphones provide clear audio. And since the ear pads fit around your ears they block out much of the room's ambient noise.CONS:1. Size. These are fairly large and not good for travel. They do actually fold, so you CAN take them on the road, but they're really meant for home use.Yes, these are a bit expensive. The most expensive headset I've bought, but generally you get what you pay for, and these are well worth the price.

I purchased the headphones after reviewing the feedback on on Amazon. I was inbetween this pair and something from Logitech. I decided on this pair because other reviews said they were made better and I honestly trusted to name a bit more. I liked the sound quality and the microphone seemed to work well based on feedback from the people I was talking with on Skype. However, the headphones are pretty heavy and they do not adjust to be small enough to fit my head. I am fairly petite so maybe these headphones might work better for a larger person or someone who wears beanies, etc. while using the headphones. They don't have much adjustment and not only were they too tall, but too wide. I gave them to my in-laws who needed a pair. They are pretty happy with them so I guess it just depends on your comfort level with heavy headphones. If they had been a bit smaller I would have kept them.

The good: I have had this headset for about two months now. It delivers great sound quality. I use it to make calls over the internet. Sound's quality on both ends of the line is great. I also use it to listen to music. It has helped me realize that 'what separates good music from great music is a good headset!!' The inline volume control & mute function comes in handy.The bad: It feels a bit warm on the ears with all that padding, no major discomfort though.The Bottom Line: It's a well-designed, well-built headset with distinctive sound quality. It's a value bargain; you get what you pay for in full. It doesn't look nor feel cheap. I would recommend it to a friend with confidence.

Even on the smallest length these headphones feel a bit loose on my head, but they're secure enough to stay in place. They are extremely comfortable on the ears and I have had no problems with sound quality or volume.

As a hardcore WoW gamer, I spend a lot of time on Vent each night raiding with my guild or simply chatting with friends. I have gone through probably half a dozen headsets over the past couple of years. All were made by Logitech or Plantronics, and all of them broke down after 3-4 months of constant use. Either the earpads fell off, or the wires broke (once causing ungodly loud static in the middle of a boss fight), or the mic stopped working... you get the idea. The earpads also got really uncomfortable after a couple of hours.I've had this Sennheiser model for six months now, and couldn't be happier. It's an absolutely great piece of hardware. The earpads are soft, well shaped, and comfortable for hours. The mic sounds great according to my friends, and you can move it closer or further from your mouth simply by bending the rubber section a little. (Great idea, Sennheiser.) And the darned thing is durable. No frizzled wires, no static. After six months it works as well as the first day I opened the package.And the price is really reasonable. A little bit is more expensive than the Plantronics I had, but I've already owned it twice as long as any other headset -- so it's like half price.

Pros: Great sound! I use these with my laptop and I great sound with games. There is ample base to give explosions a nice deep growl, yet they are clear enough to allow the lightest of sounds to be heard. Audio conversations also come through loud and clear through applications such as Skype or Ventrilo. The earpieces fit nicely over the ear, butting no pressure on the ear itself. They also block a great deal of sound from around you, so you can immerse yourself in the game you're playing. The microphone also works great and flips up for when not in use.Cons: Kind of heavy. Not overly so (and you kind of expect this heft with ear-cup headsets), but after a couple hours with them on, you start to feel it on the over-the-head band. For me the cable is a little on the long side. It's not a thin cable, so it can add to the weight of the headset if you don't carefully place the excess. I know some people like to have long cables for freedom of movement, but for me it is a little cumbersome. A good idea would have been a cable extension for those people who required a longer cord. Really this is just a niggle! One thing I think is important to point out is that these are not the greatest for listening to music. While they are certainly adequate for the casual listener, for someone more into the music might want to spring for some better suited for this endeavor.Overall, I'm extremely please with these. They're a little pricey, but I was sick of settling for $60 or cheaper headsets that weren't up to par. If you can afford them, they're near the top of the list for gaming headsets.

I mainly got this headset to do night time gaming and/or YouTube and DVD viewing. However, these are such good quality, that I decided to use these almost any time that I don't want to disturb other family members, or when I want to mainly focus on something without too many distractions. You can forget Bose QuietComfort, these could almost be on par, if not better in some cases, and you don't need any dreaded batteries, either. I may use the microphone part on occasion, but I'm mainly focused on using the headphone part of it for the most part in the short term.

I am stationed in Afghanistan and I used these everyday to Skype with my fianc? back in he states, I live in a "B" hut and must be quite at all times because someone's asleep all the time and there is no insulation between the walls. I must speak softly and still be able to be heard by her without others hearing me in the building. There is a lot background noise here with planes taking off and landing, but most of it gets cancelled out of the ear piece. I wear these for hours at a time and they are very comfortable.

Pros: Comfortable, great sound, pretty good bass, microphone is excellent, foldable for storage, long cord.Cons: Could have more bass, rather have velour padding than leather but it's still good.Overall, great value for your money. Better than many more expensive headsets.

I've tried many cheaper headsets, the $30 kind that only have one earphone and that stop working after a year or so, and I also tried the SH 250,but I returned those because I could not not get the volume low enough(neither those nor the 350 has a volume control - you are at the mercy ofthe volume control that your phone provides).These don't sound as good a some of the cheaper headsets I've owned(surprising since I thought a good headphone company would do betterthan plantronics on the sound). These are a bit tinny to my ear.But these are comfortable and seem to be of high quality. People sayI sound very clear and the noise canceling mic seems good. Only timewill tell if these will last more than the single year all the cheaperheadsets I've owned have lasted, but I hope so since that's mainly whyI've decided to go with this more expensive set this time.The cord is a bit longer than I am use to - all I need is 3-4 feet, andthis must be closer to 6 feet between the adapter and headphone sections -so I've had to leave a few extra feet of it in a tangle so it doesn'tget caught on things.

Pros: Very comfortable to wear for hours. The nicely padded ear pieces encompass my ears so the cushions rest on my head and do not press on the ears. Almost sound deadening. Very well made which is a nice thing considering the junk on the markets today. The majority of the unit is black plastic that does not look or feel cheap. The ear pieces connect to the head support by a universal type joint which allows them to fold flat. The mic is also very nice and can pick up background noise. I use them for gaming mostly and noticed a big difference when using the in game mic test. Much cleaner sound.Cons: None so far. I've had them for 2 months and dropped them my first day but so far so good.Conclusion: I was leary about spending the money. This will be my 3rd mic and speaker combo in the last few years. The previous purchases were in the $20-$40 range but those can not even compare to these in quality, comfort and function. I am very glad I purchased them.

The audio quality on this headset is top notch, especially for 1/2 the price of comparable Logitech products. The wiring is very delicate, so be careful not to accidentally trip over or pull on the cord. My first one got destroyed when I tripped on it and ripped the cord out. I had to order a 2nd one, and now I am very careful where I put the cord.

I have to admit being more than a little wary of buying such an expensive headset, but I'd been told time and time again that Sennheiser is the way to go for sound quality. After reading countless reviews, both here and elsewhere, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge.The box itself was extraneously large and the packaging obtuse and unnecessary. It's a waste of resources in my opinion, and probably an extra twenty to 40 dollars on to the cost as well. Still, once I had them out of the box and realized just how huge the headset was, I was even more wary. As a female gamer my head is smaller than the average PC gaming headset will comfortably fit. I was really worried I'd be in for some serious ear-aches and neck strain, but they felt so light in hand that I gave them a go anyway.(Edit on 10.11.09: I've had to replace the headset; the weight is giving me significant neck strain if I wear it for longer than two or so hours at a time. A real shame; the quality otherwise is amazing. I docked a "star" in my review because of the painful weight.)They come with no drivers to install, which is a definite plus, and as soon as I was on Vent my husband and friends all made note of the quality of my voice. They certainly sounded much clearer as well, and so I was already feeling better about my purchase. As soon as I launched WoW, though, I was immediately blown away. I was hearing music and effect in the login screen that I'd _never_ heard before on my previous cheap USB headset, and I couldn't help but sit there, stunned, and listen.Actually playing with the headset on is going to take some getting used to -- it does hurt my ears, as the sides of my head are engulfed by the earpieces -- but I certainly can't hear anything around me, either!The amazing quality continued when I hopped to Left4Dead, and even on to Team Fortress 2 and other games I regularly play. This is definitely an amazing headset, but my rating will remain at 4 of 5 until a smaller choice is made available for those of us who have smaller noggins. I'll be buying a portable headphone set for listening to music on the go as well, and they'll definitely be from Sennheiser.

Very comfortable, though your ears can get a bit warm from being completely closed off to outside air. Sound is good, if a bit weak. Based on other reviews, it's probably because I'm using onboard sound and not a separate card. Microphone is good and construction is very sturdy. I expect this to last me a couple of years.

I purchased this headset to use with my SKYPE. In addition, I use it for just about anything on my computer so as not to disturb my wife while she's watching TV or talking on our land line. These are VERY comfortable. The should quality is good. It also has a thumbwheel for adjusting the volume.The only issues that I have is that there is 2 connectors. One for the mike and one for the headphone. Although they have held up very well for the time that I've had it, I suspect that it won't be too long before I'll have to repair them. Not a real problems as it's easy to fix. The other issue is the pick-up for the mike. Unless I have the mike positioned precisely, the person on the other end has a difficult time hearing me. That is fixed by me speaking a little louder.Overall, I would recommend them. In fact, if they fail completely, I'll probably purchase an identical set as a replacement.

I purchased the PC 350 headset to replace another Sennheiser headset that I had used for ~8 years, and I have been very happy with the replacement.Usage:Gaming, movies/videos, music.Sound Quality:The sound quality is good and the noise cancellation makes for a very immersive movie watching or game playing experience.Comfort:The headset sits very comfortably even after 2-3 hours of use (though it leaves some pretty serious headphone hair afterwords :) ).Microphone:Though I have not personally heard what it sounds like, I have received no complaints about the mic (which I use pretty regularly); so the mic quality seems good too.I would definitely recommend this product, as long as you can get past the moderately high price tag. Overall, if you are looking for a high quality headset, you would be hard pressed to find one better than this.

I have been playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and the experience is wonderful. I have no negative comments for this product. If you have a PC or gaming Laptop this headset is a must!!!!

Got it for sixty-five bucks used.Good headset, doesn't seal perfectly around my ears. Excellent mic over what I've been using. Excellent for gaming.Audio quality is less than perfect, although, that's the worst I can say.Most comfortable headset I've worn. No complaints there.Great quality and feel.

I've had Sennheisser headsets for a few years now, they never disappoint. They might be a little elevated in price, but they are well worth the money. I wouldn't buy any other brand of headsets. They are perfect for gaming.

I received my headset yesterday, and simply cannot stop using it. I bought it to replace my Sennheiser HD 555's on my gaming PC, and now I may not miss my old cans. They fit nice and snug on my big head, and the sound quality can't be beat for the price.There really is no comparison to other gaming headsets; Sennheiser basically took one of their audiophile sets and added a mic. Beyerdynamic did the same with their MMX 300, but then I wouldn't recommend the PC 350 to anyone willing to drop $400 on a headset anyway.Bearing that in mind, I thought it was a little bit strange that Sennheiser neglected to include a 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter. Most audiophile headsets are designed to be hooked up to amplifiers in order to get the full sound experience, and aside from the fact that it doesn't have an adapter, the PC 350 is no exception.I normally plug my headphones into an A/V receiver that connects via optical from my PC, but it would appear that Sennheiser designed the plugs as default 3.5mm so as to cater to those who LAN often and can't afford to carry heavy amplifiers back and forth, and so I decided to give it a try without an amp.As expected, plugging directly into my motherboard sound card via the 3.5mm plug yielded terrible results, with a lot of signal noise between the mic and the headphones. I found a spare adapter and plugged into my A/V receiver, then ran an extension cable to the mic port on the back of my computer. No problems so far with that configuration.Pros:Sennheiser audiophile-grade sound qualityMic is crisp and clearSound isolation helps block out my noisy friends at LAN partiesPrice ($150 versus the MSRP of $250)Cons:Designed for people with big headsNeeds an amp to experience the true sound quality

I purchased this after my wife complained about my Edge Acoustics gx 400. She believes in ear head phones will hurt my hearing. The sound quality is great and the Impedeance issues should be minimal as long as you don't plug these into your iPod. The power coming from your computer should be enough to power these headphones. The sound Quality is good and the comfort is what I would expect from such a large headset. They are not as comfrotable for me as the GX 400s but a happy wife more then makes up for that.I normally take a 10 min break every hour so I can not speak into extended gaming sessions on these head phones but I have no issues with wearing these for in 50 min intervals. If you have glasses, I would not suggest these as the band tends to put additional pressure on your forhead.My only issue with the sound of the headphones is the volume control from the headphones itself. Trying to turn down the volume completely still allows sound to come throuhg. Having to play with computer volume controls along with the attached volume is a little bit of a bother.I would suggest these headphones now they are fianlly under sub $100.

Setup was effortless (I plugged it in and it worked). I use it with Skype and Webex and it works perfect. The padding on the ears is not as comfy as my Sennheiser HD 555's but I am not naive enough to expect that as these were less expensive. I wouldn't plan on wearing them for several hours but that's just based on my ears and head.

I've used a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's as my headphones for a while now, and finally upgraded to the PC 350's to get a microphone.Comparing these two pairs of spectacular headphones will just be nitpicking, but here it goes: The HD 280 Pro's fit more snugly, and isolate you from outside noise a little better. They may perhaps be more comfortable as a result of the snugger fit, but that may vary from person to person. I also think the HD 280 Pro's have a little more visual appeal, as they have a cleaner design.The microphone on the PC 350's is perfectly positioned and sounds great. It's well designed, and rotates up out of the way so I can forget about it when I want to.I may never buy another pair of headphones / headset after owning the PC 350's.

Very good. The sound quality is much better quality then my g35. The build quality on the headset appears to be very good and the headset is very lightweight. The packaging was hard to open.

This is my second pair of Sennheiser head phones. I bought these because I liked the first pair. The first pair were not 100 % covering the ears. This pair does. I like the way it kills external sound. It has been a long time since I've used this kind of head set so it was a little strange at first. But I do like these better now that I've had them for a few weeks. We bought them to use with Skype mainly. But I also like listening to Itunes or other music venues. I find myself working on the computer often with the head set on despite not using them for anything but quiet. I also like how the head set collapses when sitting on the desk. Not a big thing but it does make it easy to slide them on. The ear pieces turn 90 degrees while laying on the desk so the whole headset becomes pretty flat compared to my old ones which were fixed. I also like that the cable is much heavier than the first pair I owned. I would recommend this product to anyone for use with gaming, enjoying music or telecommunications.

My existing headset looks just like a Plantronics audio 650 USB, but I don't have the USB dongle for it. I have used it with Skype and to narrate online tutorial videos. When I purchased Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10, I wanted to increase my accuracy so I purchased this noise-canceling Sennheiser microphone.Out-of-the-box looked and felt great. The EQ is a bit odd, like other Sennheiser headsets I've owned in the past; I like it though, because it makes rock music sound great.Unlike my Plantronics headset, the ear muffs are foam and let my ears "breathe" a little, which keeps them from getting too hot. It is also very comfortable even though I wear it for hours at a time.The microphone is a completely different story. My voice sounds tinny and the microphone picks up WAY more background noise. It doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference with Dragon, but it is definitely worse for Skype, and there's no way I can use it to narrate videos.I like the Sennheiser sound, but this headset is not at all acceptable as a noise-canceling mic. I am disappointed because I basically wasted my money. Considering that the Sennheiser mic costs about 50% more than my Plantronics, I'm a little disgusted at the outcome.
