In 2006, I bought a Sennheiser PC 150 Headset for about $35 dollars, and it lasted me about 4 and a half years, giving me great sound quality and making me sound great through my mic the entire time. It took 4.5 years (and 4 apartments) of abuse, and finally started having problems with the wiring - the right headphone stopped working 100% of the time. I just replaced it (in May 2011) with the PC-151 (the 150 was replaced by this) and so far I'm loving it.It has a volume control and a mute on the cord. My main use for it is to talk via Ventrilo, but I have also used it many times for phone calls - both personal and business (using Skype and Gmail). It plugs into the Headphone and mic slots on my computer (the cord is several feet long though if you need it to travel farther), but i'm sure that if you wanted to go through a USB you could find a cheap connector.The earphones do not completely cover my ears, so I can still hear what is around me (so I can hear if my wife is trying to talk to me, or if something else loud is happening that I should probably pay attention to), but they cover them up pretty well and they do a pretty great job. I can wear them for quite a while without getting tired of them - they stay on great but don't squeeze too much.For the low price, I'd say these are a great value.

I have owned a few headsets, Plantronics gamecon 777, Razer Charcasis, Triton Tech AX720, and these things DESTROY all of those. The PC-350 out perform in every aspect, sound, comfort, build quality and looks.What I did was to break them in, at like 70% volume I let them play music when ever I was not at the PC. after about 2-3 days, they sounded better then right out of the box. Base is not BOOMING, but it's crystal clean and sounds great, Playing games you dont want BOOMY base, you want clean clear base. With these at $150, you CAN NOT go wrong. Get them and Get them NOW!

I use this headset with both skype and google voice for business calls. I hear everyone else crystal clear, but people have a little bit of trouble hearing me. Everyone thinks I am on speakerphone. It wouldn't bother me if it weren't on business calls... but there's significant room for improvement on the microphone.

Pros: *Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. *Great sound qualities for gaming with the 7.1 surround sound on. *Tone Quality for music is great.Thoughts:This headset is a great gaming headset the sound is clear and can hear the enemies from whatever direction they come. Also great for online gaming, the voice quality is fantastic and comparable to Turtle beach and Razer headsets that I have owned. This headset also works great for VOIP calling.They take a few days to burn in for the best quality, they are corded but the cord is long enough to allow free movement while Gaming or working.Cons: *Burn in takes about a week *Headset is small at first and needs some time to adjust to being stretched.

On these headphones, the other reviewers are right, the headset is uncomfortable for the amount of money that is being charged. The actual head band is plastic and can be "bent". This is what I did to "loosen" the grip it has on your head. After I gently found a non - critical area around the top, I stretched it out to fit better. After that - they are very comfy for extended periods of time.I am not a fan of the side volume - but it does work. I can see the benefit regarding not having to find a volume control somewhere on your desk in the dark.Music and sound effects are excellent and had a great time playing some FPS games with the new headset. VOIP calls sounded good and the person on the other end couldn't tell I was on a head set ... so all good there.The ear cups do seem a little small too ... I guess I may just be used to the big ol' style. I also think the big ear cups are more comfortable ... just my preference I guess.Anyway - to summarize: good headset, but needs a mod to work well. You may decide on a cheaper pair to deal with your headset needs.

Speechless...these are AMAZING!!! Listening to the sound of Mp3's, games, movies--it's clearer than I thought possible.It is hard to get used to the over-ear headphones after using earbuds for so long. I can see why some people might find them binding, but for me, they fit just fine. (I do wear a small or x-small motorcycle helmet, though.) I love how one of the ears flips backwards so that you can listen with one ear only if you need to.They get good and loud, and the clarity is just mind-blowing. I have no complaints on the sound from the microphone.I have a pair of Bose, high-end Sony, and now these. These are by far the best.The packaging is really impressive, too. Everything is packed so well, and very "expensive-looking". The directions are short and clear, and drivers installed with no problem. The USB cable even comes with an extension cable. The on/off switch is cool with the blue backlight when it's in the "on" position. I love the details that Sennheiser put into these headphones. From packaging to the trim-work, these are head-turners.

Researched a lot of review on this type of headphones and price kept falling so I pulled the trigger. These are for my wife and her on-line class, and she says the audio quality is amazing and are very comfortable being an over the head type. She found the behind models to require too much ajustment while trying to concentrate on the lecture. Hasn't use the mic yet but assume equal transmission quality.

I am using this headset to record mp3s. You could call what I do "podcasting".I am VERY pleasantly pleased by the sound quality after trying five or six other set-ups that disappointed me.I do still need to do "denoise" my file, but the overall sound quality is great, AND no environmental noises coming through.

These headphones are great. The microphone is really clear. Sound quality passed my expectation. I am a nightclub guy so for my opinion on sound level is that they should've made it a little louder but for non-clubbing people there great headphones.

First, this is indeed a USB headset;someone uploaded a picture of a different model(with the two 3.5mm plugs).Also, it has a mute / volume control on the (8 foot!) cord.I'll upload a photo.Because I bought this headset for voice recognition,and recording video tutorials,the low quality headphones are not a problem.I would recommend looking for something elseif you want high quality sound for music orFPS gaming.If your main interest is the microphone,I can definitely recommend it.I get very accurate voice recognition with Dragon Naturally;and clear sound quality when recording with Camtasia.Update:I don't have small ears,so while this headset is light,the padding is thinthus I'm not comfortable wearing it for long periods.I also tend to irritate myself with the cordwrapping itself up (it doesn't want to become straight).

I bought this thinking my headset had broke but when I got it, it worked just the same, very low sound. I checked my computer settings which i realized was the problem, not the headset. Overall its a great Headset for the Price!

Before I bought these, I was going through headsets every few months - from the likes of Creative, Turtle Beach, and Logitech. All of them were lacking in build quality and basically fell apart from normal use.Not so with this Sennheiser headset. Build quality is amazing, and sound is excellent. They may be expensive, but they can take use, and are definitely worth it.

I bought this pair after my LOGITECHs USB connector broke when I pulled it out of its USB port. This one doesnt use USB so it hopefully wont rip and the sound doesnt suffer, as a matter of fact THE SOUND IS A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER. I can now do my transciption work a whole lot faster. For 39 buck its a steal of a deal (amazon).

These headsets work well and are generally reliable. As with any headset, try to be careful of letting the wire get run over a chair because over time, it will inevitably damage it enough to require a replacement.

I've had Sennheiser headphones for years. Generally I prefer their "on the ear" rather than "around the ear" types.The main criticism of these "cans" is that the the over-the-head band is too small, but it fit my head fairly well and did not hurt at all. Nonetheless, I would like to see more adjustment in the headband. I found the actual ear cups a bit small, however--I had to stuff my ears into them. If you have tiny ears, you're all set.Overall build quality is very good, with a nice flip-forward/back feature on the right ear cup so that you can hear local sounds. Sound quality is quite good.Unfortunately, I could not test the software because I'm a Mac user. I used the phones and mic with my MacBook Pro and they worked great.The microphone boom looks like it would break if you bent it into a more usable position, but it bends fine.The volume control is very stiff and needs more "grip" than just the small dimple. It can be moved with one hand with difficulty, two hands more easily.

Just like the title says, I couldn't ask for more.When I bought these, I researched for about 3 days. I don't even know why...I mean it's just a headphone with a mic so you can talk on Skype right? But I decided to do the research and buy the right one first time.Well, I received this in Afghanistan to talk on Skype with my family and friends. It pretty much did its job and kept its reputation as a Sennheiser.Not only it was comfortable, adjustable (mic boom), long enough to walk away from my computer, the sound quality was pretty decent. I was actually surprised by how well it played songs for being an inexpensive headset/mic. I used to to listen to music, movies, and whatnot. I even set my pair of Etymotics aside to use these most of the times.The cord is a bit sticky though....I guess it's the type of rubber, but I didn't like the feel of it at all and it was like a dust magnet.Pros:-Does what it says-Quality materials, the connectors didn't break the entire deployment-The sound quality was surprisingly awesome for a on-ear headset/mic-Fit, I thought it was very comfortable-I guess the mic worked great because my family said it was crystal clear on their end-The long cord allowed me to move about immediate area to reach for something if I neededCons:-The cord being a bit sticky...but that's a minor issueConclusion:Great stuff.

These are just outstanding headphones, especially for the price (NOTE: I bought mine new from Amazon for $15 less than today's stated price of $58 - that is a big price jump, but I think they are still worth that amount, if less of a bargain), and are ideal of just about anything you would need them for in home use. I say "home" because they are not isolating headphones and I find they don't cancel much noise at all. So when I travel on the EL each day here in Chicago, I use earphones. Earphones don't provide the sonic quality that headsets like this Sennheiser set does, but a bomb could go off and I wouldn't hear it, not to mention the rude people you invariably meet on the train who seem to think the only way to have someone hear them over their cell phone is to shout.I use these head phones for a variety of things. They are great if I want to watch a movie on my laptop, and are ideal if I want to play a PC game. I no longer play online MMORPGs (I lost at least a year of my life in real time to Asheron's Call and WoW, and I don't dare try to play any longer, since I actually have some life goals), but if I did, these would be great for playing with others. I've used Google Phone to talk to others over the Internet, and the sound quality is much, much, much better than talking over any regular phone. I also use these headphones while doing Rosetta Stone French lessons.The sound quality is really outstanding in every way, with good, unmuddled bass. They are comfortable and do not become irritating after long use. The cord is very long and while I don't have a tower computer, it would easily reach outlets even if the case were place fairly far off.I definitely recommend these headphones. They meet a large number of needs for a very reasonable price.

I've been using these headphones for 2 years now for almost every week day.Pros:-The sound is fantastic, and this is at the point where any more significant improvements will require much more expensive headphones.-The pleather pads are extremely soft and comfortable and create a decent seal when applied. Although over time, it doesn't press in as hard as it used to.-The microphone is very good quality, but not much better than the one you get on the PC161.-Single sided wire never gets tangled even if you wrap it hastily (In packing for instance)-Collapsible design allows me to pack it in safely without worrying about breaking them in transport. I've traveled with them before and I never run into problems moving them around-Overall build quality is about as good as it gets. All the parts have a solid feel and the materials don't feel like cheap crapCons:-Price. I only got mine because they were on sale for $105 including shipping. I think for this set of this quality $110 is my limit, especially when there are the new PC360s out on the market.-Wire noise! Any rub, bump or even the slightest bit of friction on the wire past the volume control is actually quite loud. It creates a stethoscope type effect, and is getting more and more annoying over time. I guess this can be prevented by remaining absolutely still.Conclusion: People can rag on how headsets are a rip off all they want but the PC350s sound and perform as well as any other headphone for the similar price. Having these definitely allows you to hear the difference between 128kbps and 320kbps.

Bought this maybe a year ago? Awesome so far. Sound is great, mike is clear, (so what my team mates have told me on vent), very durable. I have accidentally sat, stepped, and tripped over this mic, and it does not show any signs of my doing so. The mic itself is a flexible rod, once I saw that it was bent I was sad it was broken, but its actually a very neat feature that allowed me to bent it back into perfect shape. Buy it.

Are you one of those people who hates headsets that are supposed to go over your ears and find yourself with pinched lobes? Or gets too hot? This is the headset for you.These have oversized cups that do a great job of attenuating three-year-old/wife arguments just outside the office door. Sound is excellent and the noise cancelling microphone works very well.Highly recomend for listening to music or just skyping during a game. Can't wait to try with my voice-to-text app.

I bought this headset because of the reviews it had, and because of its price. For under $30, this is a pretty good headset. I thought the sound quality was amazing, and my peers on the other end said my voice sounded clear. The only drawbacks that I found were that it is really light, which is a good thing in a way, but to me, it was lighter than I would want it. It also fits loosely around your head. Like before, this might be a good thing for some, but I found myself always loosing my headset if i tilted my head forward a little too much.Overall, for the price, if you're looking for a quality, light headset, go for this Sennheiser.

As part of my participation in the Vines program, I received a copy to review. This is a very good set of headphones. I tried it out listening to music on Grooveshark and was very impressed with the quality as compared to my previous headset.Installation was seemless ... even on my Vista laptop!My primary use for the headset is to listen to audiobooks and using text to speech software to read my writing back to me which is probably overkill for this product, but I am very pleased with the performance and think you will be as well.Some of the other reviews have complained about the tight fit, but it didn't bother me too terribly much. At most, I would wear it for two hours at a time (watching a dvd movie), but I could see how if you were wearing it for four or five hours how this could be an issue.The microphone boom is sturdy and works as advertised. I like the way it can easily move out of the way.

I bought this headset primarily to use with Skype. However, I soon discovered it was AMAZING for listening to music! I've owned many stereo headsets in the past ranging in price from inexpensive to super expensive. The Sennheiser PC31 puts most of them to shame! The bass response is perfect and the highs are crisp and clear.Sennheiser is well known for their stage and studio mikes which is another reason I selected this particular product. Everyone I've Skyped with claims the sound quality is excellent on their end.As far as comfort is concerned, I have no problem with this unit. I WOULD like to see some kind of padding on the portion that rests on top of my head but this is only because I wear my hair really SHORT. I'm sure I could remedy this situation with a bit of foam rubber and some super glue!With the proper adapter (also available at Amazon) you can even use this unit with your smart phone. I haven't bought one yet, but I know I would enjoy the music I have stored on my Blackberry a lot more than I do with those little earbud things!In summary, you can't go wrong purchasing this headset.

"Hyperrealistic" is a big long word but even it does not fully describe the outstanding performance of this headphone. Experiencing the multichannel soundscape of the PC 333D for a user who goes back to scratchy old mono of some of the first transistor radios, it is a miracle. Although some users have other sets which they have been using, this was my first time with this technology. The details which come out of this unit are those I have never before heard with earphones. I did fine them a bit stiff and tight on the head, and they seemed heavy in a short wear. I think they might be very uncomfortable over a long period of use. My grandsons on hearing I have the new Dolby PC333D headset have decided Grandma is more high tech than they thought, and are suddenly very eager to try my new phones with their games. After they try them, their opinions will be interesting but for now they will have to wait while I experiment more with this new world of sound.

I purchased these for my Mac Book Pro and they are not worth the time it takes to order them online. Poor sound quality cheaply made. Look elsewhere for your headset needs.

I bought this headset to use for an online meeting and found it to be AMAZING. Actually, this was the second headset that I bought. The first was an HP that sounded muddy, and with a right speaker/headphone that only worked when the volume was turned up to maximum. I returned the HP and got the Sennheiser because headphones are Sennheiser's business. It was the right move to make. I first tested the PC 151 with music, and found that the sound was GREAT. The frequency response range for the headphones is 18-22,000 HZ, and they really deliver. A couple of hours just flew by during that test; the music was crisp and clear with a full range of highs and lows, and a pleasure to listen to. I had my online meeting the next day and the headset performed wonderfully again. The voices were crisp, clear, natural and realistic, and my own microphone produced none of the "wind" sounds that someone else's did. (That is what the sound canceling is about - canceling microphone sounds, not ambient background sounds.) Since the PC 151 headset was made for gaming it is well-padded and was comfortable to wear through my 1.5 hour meeting and my two hours of listening to music. It does have a large-ish headband so I needed to find the right spot to place the headband to minimize its sliding around. I would definitely recommend the Sennheiser PC 151, although someone with a smaller head may prefer the Sennheiser PC 131 which is slightly smaller but has very similar headphone specifications and the same microphone specifications.

These headphones turned out to be much better than I expected. I got these because they were cheap and I wanted a mic to play Team Fortress with. They turned out to be just what I wanted, plus, the sound quality is excellent; there's a lot of bass despite the fact that they're smaller and my mic is crisp-clear. I bought a computer-headphone adapter for my xbox 360 controller and used them as a mic for Xbox live. These are definitely worth the money.

I love it. This headset is lightweight, plug 'n' play, and sound quality is excellent. I'm no expert, as most of us aren't, so this will do just fine for Skype or multimedia. It's coming with me overseas- I'll update this comment when I get back.

I purchased this headset back in 2008 as the ones I were wearing at the time were a little too rough on my ears. I've worn this headset nearly everyday for multiple hours a day since then and it is still going strong. I work on the computer and occasionally game and between work, relaxing, and gaming, I am on the computer a lot - that being said I haven't owned a set of speakers since I have purchased this headset, so this headset gets used very often.The comfort level of this headset is amazing. I can wear them all day and forget that I am wearing them. Even if I decide to wear my glasses, it still feels 100% fine. The headset actually goes around your ears and covers them completely, and not on top of them, which most headsets do (and often times begins to hurt after a short while).The sound quality is also top notch. Playing games and listening for footsteps was made a lot easier with this headset. Listening to myself on the microphone or having others tell me how I sound has also been very positive over the years.Sturdy. This word pretty much sums up the quality of the headset. The microphone is encased in hard plastic, not some cheap adjustable wire. The cord is also pretty durable. It feels like a thick rubber. I've ran over the cord numerous times with my chair and haven't even seen a scratch on it. The material around the ears is worn, but not wearing off. The cushion is still completely there, but the thin layer has worn off - Though it still feels 100% the same.I've had this headset for almost 3 years, and consider it one of my better purchases.

These headphones sound very cheap. I have a Logitech on-the-ear usb headset that is starting to die on me(cord fraying). I was very displeased with the sound quality of the Sennheiser set. The lightweight headset is comfortable but I'm afraid the almost complete lack of bass will relegate these to the spare pile.

If you look at my reviews you'll see that I'm really into music. I have a lot of earbuds and headphones. So how do these stack up. Well, the sound is crystal clear and the bass really thumps, but sadly they're very tight and I can't wear them for very long, so actually, I'll probably never be wearing them again, which is a shame, because they do sound very nice.And that ends my review, because who cares how good the surround sound might be, how magical the midranges, how bright and clear the highs if the headphones make your head hurt.The only thing I can think of is that those folks at Sennheiser are all small headed people. And then there's the problem that they don't go completely over your ears. Combine that with the tightness of these headphones and you've got a pretty uncomfortable situation going on. So, I'm guessing the small headed Sennheiser people are small eared too.

I am not an expert on mics or headphones.The headset seems to have no problems or flaws. I got it to use with Dragon Voice Recognition software and it has no problem doing that. I also use it with Windows 7 voice recognition and again the headset seems to do a good job. It is a little snug on my head but I have a LARGE head. Comfort level is acceptable for awhile. The mic is left side only and does not extend or retract but I see no problem with that. It seems sturdy enough but I plan on being gentle with it anyway. The noise cancelling mic will pick up wind/breeze noise when I sit outside with laptop but not the lawnmower across the street.For the price it would seem to have been a good purchase.

These are good headphones, with an excellent mic for skype, Lync or whatever. The headphones have a clean sound and a decent range. No huge bass, but I didn't buy these to game with, but to use with MS Lync, and they do that quite well. The biggest downside, however, is that they simply aren't comfortable after about an hour or so. Get in one of those LONG meetings and you're not going to be happy. I'm back on the market, looking for a new headset. Will need to be comfortable for up to 4 hours continuous, and I'd like better overall sound quality for music.

This is only the second day I've used this headset. It has a short in the wire that causes irritating static. I'm returning this product and buying a Logitech.

This headset does not work with the standard line in ports on a macbook or an iMac. The line in port is not used for microphone unless you have an adapter.This is not mentioned anywhere in the description.

I bought the headset for my daughter. The microphone did not work. The speakers worked fine. The cords were very long. I returned the item and bought a $10 pair that worked great. Don't waste your time or money.

When I use Teamspeak for gaming everyone, and I mean everyone has to turn me up on their end and I have to turn me up on my end and people still barely hear me. These headphones worked right out of the box, I plugged them into a new laptop and downloaded Teamspeak and tried it without making any adjustments, long story short, I didn't have to tweek any settings, no one had to turn me up to hear me and I got a lot of compliments on how clear I sounded. This headset is priceless for the lack of fussing alone.The sound on my end is nice and clear as well. The fit is very comfortable for me. There is a give to the earphones so there is no pinched/pressured feeling and the cord is lightweight, which is good because it doesn't come with a shirt clip. I don't miss the clip though because it is so light that there is no pull on my head. It also lacks a mute button or volume control so if those are a deal breaker you should move on.I really like this headset and recommend it wholeheartedly.

This is truly a excellent headphone and one of the best I had ever owned. The sound quality is crystal clear and crisp and I was able to hear instruments, beats, and melody in songs that I never knew was there. The bass output is outstanding and you can literally go deaf if you set the volume all the way up.The microphone is good although I didn't really get a chance to test it out thoroughly but I can say it's does not have and echo that plague some of the other mic.Now if you're a gamer like me this is where the product truly shine. It has directional sound. Meaning that I can pinpoint my enemies on bfbc2 if they made a shot within proximity to where I'm at. Nothing is more fun then hearing a sniper make a shot, while hiding up a hill thinking he is safe and secure only to find me sticking a combat knife into his back.The headphone is made out of high quality material and it doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon.I been using it for 2 months now and it still looks and function just like the day I received them, Keep in mind that I purchase a REFURBISH pair.Although there are a few qualm with this headphone. And that is the noise canceling muff. It works too well... It's like when I speak into the mic, I can't hear my own voice. Or if someone is calling out to me, I ignore them because I didn't even hear them! But in no way should you consider my little complaint as a con because that was the way it was design.All in all I highly recommend this headphone to all you gamers out there. It is reasonably priced, high quality, and comfortable. This thing kick ass!

I purchased this headset a little over two years ago. After 2 years of using it 6+ hours a day most days I am finally replacing it with another of the same. I found it to be excellent quality and very comfortable, and it worked great. I am replacing it only due to a damaged cord, not normal wear and tear. Had the cord not been damaged, I could see this excellent headset lasting another two years easily.

I've tried about 7 - 8 headsets for PC's. By far, this headset provides the best sound quality. The audio is clear, realistic, and more than loud enough.I heard background noises with the headset that I never knew were there. After discovering the hidden audio with the headset, I went back to listen for the same audio quality with regular PC speakers and still couldn't hear it.The microphone is good enough for gaming or using Skype. The mic's audio was clear and consistent without the echo or hollow sound that some cheaper mic's cause.I found the headset pretty comfortable while I was wearing it, but when I took it off after wearing it for a couple hours, I could still feel the pressure on my ears. Not too bad. The headset is light and the microphone snaps into place in the perfect location.Overall, it is a great PC headset.

I was pleased to receive these headphones. For me it's like going back in time to the type of headphones I had as a kid. But there are differences.Overall the quality of construction is good. They fit my head just fine. I believe that people are used to wearing ear buds and the larger over-ear headphones feel confining.The software drivers installed easily, even on my "old" computer with XP.The sound is great - definitely provides extra dimension beyond what I am used to with ear buds. It's too bad I can't use these on my iPod 3G...The microphone works very well with Skype, and I like being able to mute it by putting it up out of the way.So adjust them to fit, install the drivers, and ROCK!

My son needed headphones for his computer, but he also likes to talk to his friends. so having a mic on the headphones just makes it a win, win. they work great, he got them around christmas and still work great.

This is the 3rd time I have bought the exact headset, high quality and comfort. You can game with these all day, without the slightest discomfort. Expect the mic to last about 2.5 years, then fail.
