Let me get right to the point: This is an outstanding value for a multifunction headset, and worth every cent if you need both a high-quality listening experience, as well as a high-quality voice mic.Professional UseI use the 323d for work oriented activities, such as Skype and Webex conferences from my home office. Audio quality is absolutely outstanding when listening to conversations, and the mic quality is superb when you need to speak. For individuals with whom I converse frequently using Skype have noted that the quality of my voice (via the built-in mic) approaches "being there" quality, with wide spectrum pick-up and crystal clarity. The vocal audio quality via Skype when using the 323d is FAR superior than any other means I've used, both for me as a speaker, and for me as a listener. I also use the 323d to provide vocal tracks for Camtasia recordings of on-screen activities for my customers. Perfect, and no problems to mention.Critical Listening UseThese are fantastic earphones for critical listening to music. I am a big fan of trad and vocal jazz as well as classical, all of which typically represent songs having excellent engineering techniques and recording quality. While the 323d is likely not of the same calibre of a high-end Stax, AKG, or even dedicated Sennheiser circumaural headphone for super-critical and "in your face" listening, it definitely holds its own, and certainly better than any other headphone I've ever used. The soundstage is well presented, and the large drivers in the 323d give more than satisfactory presence of vocalists. As I write this, I am listening to Jane Monheit's excellent album, "Come Dream With Me" -- and I can easily pick up her breathing and subtle vocal changes when singing beautiful renditions of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "So Many Stars". Granted, these headphones were designed for gaming and other non-musical activities, but Sennheiser's DNA is clearly evident in the engineering and execution of these fine headphones.CompatibilityPERFECT for us Mac users! I use a 2011 Macbook Air running OS X 10.8.2 (aka Mountain Lion), and there are absolutely no compatibility problems with the 323d. Plug the headphone in via the off-board USB DAC (included with the headphones), and OS X immediately recognizes the headphones as "Sennheiser 3D G4ME", for both output as well as input (via its built-in microphone). I have not had a single problem with any application using the 323d -- it is completely transparent to all applications given that it is recognized by the operating system. The headphones appear to be very well constructed and are comfortable, both on the head and ears.ConclusionIf you are seeking a high-quality, solidly constructed, and comfortable multifunction headset -- with excellent audio sound and a first-rate microphone, then strongly consider this fine product. Also, fear not, Mac users, as this product appears to be fully functional and recognized by OS X without any software installation or "monkeying around" to get them to work. Just plug them in, and get down to business -- or critical listening. The Sennheiser 323d is a JOY to use!

I am, admittedly, a Sennheiser fanboy. I've been using their headphones for 20 years. While I'm no audiophile, so I never get caught up in what's the "best", I can at least distinguish between a cheap pair of headphones and non-cheap, and much like a pair of sunglasses, once you've used non-cheap headphones, it's pretty much impossible to bear using a cheap pair.My ex gave me a pair of Logitech G35s, and because I loved her, I used them, even though I found the USB headset to have incredibly bad sound quality compared to pretty much any of the 7 Sennheisers I've used in the past (why anyone would pay $100-$200 for usb headset sound quality is akin to my puzzlement over all the millions of people who'd spend hundreds of dollars on their Ipods while using those horrible $5 white earbuds, though to be fair, apparently Sennheiser now sells a USB headset as well...). About the only good thing I could say about those G35s was that I didn't have to use a separate microphone for gaming sessions. Our relationship eventually fell apart, and I finally got around to realizing I had no emotional reason for continuing to use such a horrible headset, and promptly ordered these Sennheisers. The 360 is, I'm told, the superior sound if you're an audiophile, due to their open nature, but I have always personally preferred closed, which is why I bought the 350s.Like all but one pair of Sennheisers I've bought in the past, these 350s do not disappoint. Note, you MUST have an amp coupled with your sound card. I know audiophile/tech snobs love to get all high and mighty about how the consumer should know what they are buying, but realistically, the average joe is NOT going to register anything when glancing over the technical specs as their eyes run over the impedance for these cans. So, if you are planning on buying these, and have no idea what impedance is, make sure you buy yourself an amp. They'll certainly work without one, but not to their full potential. Nothing special is required. A $30-$50 Fiio would be sufficient. Just keep in mind that if you do not have an amp, and your sound card does not have an amp, then you do have another purchase to make.If I was to design a version 2 of this headset, I would get rid of the idea of making them collapsible. Personally, I really don't care if my gaming headset can collapse or not (I know the logic behind the idea that gamers want a collapsible headset for when they go to lan parties, etc, but the reality is I have never needed the extra few inches of cubic space a collapsible headset saved me when packing), and I consider the additional joints required to allow them to collapse to just be an increased risk that something breaks mechanically. Or, make this headset in two versions. One collapsible. One not. But, I can't ding it for that, as I can't predict the life span of these, having only owned them for a brief while now. Hence, five stars.

Having allowed the PC 360 several weeks to burn in, it's time to review them mostly for sound. I'm currently using the excellent Sennheiser HD 600 for serious music listening and previously used the older HD 580 which is no longer available. The HD 600s were formerly the top headphone in the Sennheiser line. They were a major evolutionary improvement over the HD 580. The newer HD 650 are likewise an evolutionary improvement over the HD 600. Either of those two were formerly among the best headphones in the world before the $1500 Sennheiser HD 800 came out in 2009. The Beyerdynamic Tesla T1 is roughly comparable to the HD 800. You do get what you pay for and those high-end headphones are as good as $20,000 to $100,000 stereo systems in terms of sound quality at the ears when used with good electronics and sources. This is mainly to put some perspective in the top end of the headphone market.Unlike the HD 600s which are made in Ireland and likely designed in Germany, and the HD 800s which are hand-made in Germany, the PC 360 is designed in Denmark and is built in China. The PC360 design is excellent: sturdy, light, comfortable, even pretty in a kind of European techno way. Perhaps because it's Danish, PC 360 has a slightly chunkier yet smoother, more stylish Scandinavian design. Best features are ergonomic and comfort: the microphone boom attached to the left earcup is very sturdy and the rotary volume control in the same place on the right earcup is very easy to adjust by feel. All the design details are very well conceived and executed. Finishes and materials are very good. Like all Sennheisers over a couple hundred dollars, comfort is excellent. Both the earpads and headband are covered with a soft velvet that breathes well. As others have noted, the PC 360 and high end Sennheiser audio headphones remain comfortable and cool for hours at a time. The earpieces may breathe to the outside through a permeable material and the open metal mesh backs. In terms of ergonomics and comfort, this may be one of the best consumer computer gaming and communication headsets available.A very quick note about hearing damage: yes, you can hear whatever the wearer is listening to from outside these open-back headphones if you turn the volume up very high. However if the sound level is that high, you are almost certainly damaging your hearing. Being deaf is about as fun as being blind, IMO. Protect your hearing; keep the sound level down and safe. Would you blind yourself? Do you value your senses? It's also pretty good in terms of sound quality. Taking a close look at the microphone, it may be one of the standard Panasonic (Matsushita) style electret capsules that you can buy at Radio Shack for a couple bucks. That's not a bad thing since it has a relatively wide, flat frequency response and is durable. It's a good microphone that sounds very good and may be widely used in better consumer electronics. The microphone boom has a microswitch which mutes the microphone when it's pushed up away from the speaking position, which is very convenient. The microphone boom has very nice engineering plastics and very carefully designed proportions, angles, openings for better acoustic performance. It was designed by a very good mechanical engineering and acoustical team, probably the same guys who design Sennheiser's professional communications and recording equipment. Its execution is also excellent. In terms of value, both the HD 600 and HD 650 cost significantly more than the PC 360, but they also have much better sound quality. Frequency responses of the former are wider and probably flatter, and sonic details are clearer probably due to better frequency response, transient response and distortion. A significant part of the cost of the PC 360 is in the volume control and boom microphone, but it's still a bit overpriced at about $250. For someone who has never heard high end headphones or a high end audio system, the PC 360 could very easily be the best sound they've ever heard. They are good, but do suffer somewhat in comparison to the former though. In terms of absolute sound quality, the PC 360 sound output has limited low and high frequency response. The ranges that it covers are flatter (have a more even frequency response) and audibly lower distortion than the much older HD 580, so PC 360 could be based on some fairly recent Sennheiser transducer technologies. It is decidedly inferior to the HD 600, whose drivers (transducers) probably cost much more, in terms of frequency range, clarity and distortion.Summary: adequate sound quality, excellent practicality and comfort as a gaming or communication headset. Design engineering is excellent. Would benefit from better drivers, which would add at least 30% to the price of an already expensive consumer product due to the added cost of the microphone and volume control. However, if Sennheiser makes a higher-end version with the same excellent mechani

The PC350 started out sounding very anemic and bass light, but crisp and clear. Several days of break-in helped a bit, but not enough. Compared to my HD650 they were just not listen-able. I have not compared vs a similar priced headset, but for me the frequency balance is not just there to be able to enjoy music. The soundcard in my experience doesn't really affect this. My laptop has enough volume with these, unless you want to compensate by turning things up way louder than you should to compensate for the lack of bass, allowing your ears to compensate by going deaf to the high frequencies. The soundcard does have a noticeable effect on the quality outside of frequency response though. In particular I noticed the difference in recorded mic quality, especially at higher gains. I can recommend an E-MU 0204 for use with these if anyone is looking for an improvement in that area :-)The mic is good quality, with recordings sounding very clear but does suffer from picking up breath noises as it extends directly in front of my mouth. Pro headset mics tend to be positioned to one corner of your mouth to help avoid this. It can be avoided with this headset by moving it down to my chin, but then the gain needs to be increased and it starts to pick up background noises (e.g. keyboard sounds). I found a wind filter from another mic to fit over the top and this helps. Overall with that, I am happy with the mic. It is much better than using a laptop or webcam mounted microphone, with a much quieter background and able to convey more emotion along with the speech than those. I have found that mic quality is quite dependent on the sound card. Using my laptop there is background noise and a noticeable drop in quality vs an E-MU 0204 USB external card. The headphones do appear to be well constructed and able to hold up over time, but I would need to use them for a while to comment properly on that. With regards to the headphone frequency balance, I did a bit of research and found a thread on head-fi about a mod to improve the bass response. Look up "modding-the-sennheiser-pc350-headset" on head-fi.Amazing what an effect a small hole has...One thing I noticed in comparison to the open back HD650 is that the sound changes quite markedly as you move the speaker towards and away from your ear. Without the mod, I could press the cans into my head quite hard and get an acceptable level of bass. This was at the point of my earlobe hitting the grill though. Pull them away slightly and they immediately sound tinny. The HD650 don't change in sound signature nearly as much, mostly it is just the volume that changes as you move them away or towards the ear. This implies that tuning a sealed can is much more tricky and will change based on head and ear shape as well as the condition of the pads. So, your results might vary with regards to how well the PC350 fits your head. One other thing worth mentioning is the cable. These come with a good length and flexible cable. It does transmit some sound to the headset though in normal use I don't notice that. It would be useful to have some type of modular cable solution, allowing a shorter cable option without the inline volume and mute controls for those with desktop control for headphone and mic levels. I did have an issue in that my mic and headphone sockets are further apart than the cable allows, so I had to spice the cable beyond the original design. The volume control actually works well, without too much channel imbalance. I did notice is that the mic mute can cause quite a large POP noise.Noise isolation is good for high frequencies, but does let most low frequencies through. Works well to drown out background chat and office noise, but not as well for engine noise on a plane. IEMs are better in this respect. Open back headphones let in all sounds in comparison, and let others hear the headset sound in quiet environments. To put all this in context, I've struggled to find any decent headset solution. The PC360 might be it as they are open back and so should avoid some of the sound quality issues of this set, but they certainly won't sound better than the HD590, so you're paying quite a bit for that mic.I actually bought a "refurb" set for around half the original price. I would recommend something like that, or even a used set and then a couple of mods (headfi hole + mic wind filter) to get to a good solution for the money. Due to my various concerns above, I wouldn't recommend these at full price and for those unwilling to mod the headset.--------------------------------------Some tips on the headfi mod:1. There are 2 screws hidden under the foam sticker on the left side. Took me a while to find the second one.2. Be careful with the wire that exits the left speaker at the bottom. I put some stress on this trying to find the above screw and once I did open it found that the wires had separated from the sleeve inside.3. There's a tiny rubber pad at the top of each driver that softens the i

For the less than $30 I paid these things are incredible. The sound quality is good and so is the comfort. These are open ear headphones that rest on the ears and have firm-ish foam cushions. They are a little tight at first but I got used to it fast and it wasn't enough of a issue to cause any discomfort even after wearing them for hours. Construction is all plastic but everything feels solid except for the mic arm rotation mechanism which is why I took a star off. It rotates a lil' too easily out of position but the mic quality is good enough that it doesn't have to be directly in front of your mouth to get a good clear pick up.The cord for these is at least 6' long and uses the standard 1/8" stereo jack for both the speakers and mic that are appropriately color coded for the ports on the back of a typical PC. No volume controls on the cord which is fine by me. I hate those on cord controls because they tend to be bulky or get beat up fast and fail IME. There are better headphones with mic than these out there but you have to spend upwards of $60 IMO before you really start to see a significant difference overall. My old headphones were Sennheiser PC230's which worked great until the cats chewed the cord up several times. I would say these compare pretty well to them with the biggest difference being the quality of the mic arm on the PC230. It stayed where you put it. Sound and mic quality is very close between the 2 to my ears.I would not use these if you're an audiophile but then they aren't meant to please the audiophile either. If you're looking for serious bass you'll also be disappointed.* I would recommend these for PC gamers who are looking for a cheap all around decent to good set of headphones w/ mic as well as general music listening. For PC gaming headphones are the way to go short of a full and properly set up 5.1+ speaker system anyways and are what I use these for. Those "7.1" or "5.1" headphones are not needed and are mostly overpriced snake oil (read: simulated in software) anyways.... unless you're looking at some of the better (read: $$expensive$$) ones that have a dedicated audio processor and/or amp. A good set of ears and headphones are the next best thing to a wall hack in many games. Once you get used to em' you'll never go back to a 2.1 desk speaker set up.*Look at the Sony XB700 or 600's if you're a bass-head...no mic though which is why I sold mine.

Sennheiser has been in the microphone, headphone and other audio product business for over 60 years. Sennheiser originated in "perfectionist" Germany, but these headsets are designed and engineered in Denmark and made in China...duh.The average human hearing has a range of 20 Hz (lows) to 20,000 Hz (highs) the PC 310 range is rated at 17 Hz – 22000 Hz (guess the extra range are for people who can hear sub-sonic rumble like an elephant or the high pitch shrills like a dog). Today, more expensive headphones don't improve human hearing...just makes the maker richer. Most home and car speakers are 4 or 8 ohms. The PC 310 are 16 Ohms speakers, so unless your plugging them into a amplified system don't expect a massive eardrum punching response from them. If you don't have amplification (laptop? phone? pad?) you may want to look at the 32 Ohms Sennheiser PC 151 (requires less power to drive/punch speakers). I have these PC 310 plugged directly into my Asus M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard (8-channel High Definition Audio) and the headset sounds like I'm listening through some rolled up socks placed between speakers and ears. No, I don't have a hearing problem.Maybe socks are a good thing for me, in the laboratory sound pressure level is rated at 118 dB for the PC 310 [The "safe" daily exposure amount at 85 dB A, known as an exposure action value, is 8 hours, while the "safe" exposure at 91 dB(A) is only 2 hours (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, 1998).]. So I guess under the right amplification these can help you get tinnitus and eventual hearing loss so watch your kids hearing. Also, no matter how I adjust my 8-channel VIA HD VDeck software installed on my PC it always sounds like the sound is coming from slightly behind my ears (as if you only had rear speakers in a car). Kinda irritating when you prefer a mix/blend of 60% front of ears and 40% behind the ears (a slightly forward sound). You would think by switching the headphones around the sound would move to the front, but no. Must be me, maybe have my ears surgically moved closer to the back of my head to compensate for this problem? Finally one more thing, I would say I have an average sized head, though these are very comfortable sitting atop my head and don't crush my ears. From their soft touch and weight they slip a little if your picking up your pen from the floor, wish there was a tension adjustment for this. Easy fix though: Don't drop pen on floor.Microphone is clean, it's a Sennheiser, known for their mics! Other than slight things mentioned above the Sennheiser PC 310 headset Rocks!

I bought the PC 330 because I was tired of buying cheap headsets that broke after several months and didn't have good audio quality. I'm big on PC gaming and was getting tired of people I was playing with saying that I sounded fuzzy, etc. I come across very clearly to other people with the PC330. The only slight downside is that the mic is very sensitive and often picks up some background noises. It hasn't been much of a problem though. The PC 330 is very also sturdy, not even the mic feels flimsy. The joints are also well-designed. One of the main issues I had with previous headsets was that the joints would weaken and sometimes break. After 6 months the joints show 0 signs of weakening or looseness, and drawing from my previous experience with Sennheiser I trust that I won't be having any problems with that for a very long time. The design of the PC330 is quite smooth and modernistic. The black and silver parts look very nice together. The mic is unobtrusive---not too far away and not too close either. It moves up and down, I have mine all the way down during regular use, halfway up when I want to eat something, and all the way up when not in use. Pushing it all the way up also mutes the mic, which is very useful. I didn't think I would use the rotating ear cup that often, but I actually use it a lot when people want to talk to me and I don't want to take my headset completely off. Some people find the headset too tight or funny fitting on their ears, however I didn't notice anything uncomfortable when I first bought them. That may stem from my previous experience with Sennheiser, as they all have similiar ear pad designs.Sound wise, I think the Sennheisers provide good sound for their price. I've noticed a good range between highs and lows, and bass sounds have a decent amount of depth. Although these are not surround headphones, I still get the feeling of "space" that is conducive to a good listening experience. Along with the quality of the source material (high quality mp3, etc), I also think that playing around with the audio controls in your sound program is important. I have a Beats Audio control center and going between the different settings produced very different results.I was impressed by the cord on the PC330, it's made of a thick rubbery material that is very flexible yet can take some abuse. I have a bad habit of rolling my chair over the cord, but it hasn't shown any sign of being dented, bent, etc. It seems to handle being rolled and stepped on quite well.I got my first pair of Sennheisers about 5 years ago and they are still performing admirably----I've had my PC 330 headset for around 6 months now and have full confidence that it will mimic that longevity. Strongly recommend!

While the PC 323D headset was designed specifically for gamers, users who may have other applications in mind will also find their needs met with aplomb. I spend a great deal of time with voice services like Skype and Messenger as well as listening to a wide range of audio files that focus on vocal reproduction. I consider myself an early investigator but in no manner am I an early adopter so this headset will replace a David Clark headset bought at a yard sale decades ago.Immediately after connection with a Skype contact, my respondent's first comment was to note how clear my voice was compared to past conversations. I have a tendency to have some sort of background noise like a TV or CD going at the same time. My contact also mentioned the absence of ambient noise compared to past conversations. Regardless of boom position - short of the point the mute function is activated - the microphone picked up voice intonations without discernible loss of quality. The right ear mounted volume control is also very convenient and easy to manipulate. The plastic headset is light, comfortable to wear and the foam ear cups seem to envelope the ear without any sense of irritation. On average, during Skype sessions I wear the headset for three hours or more.Sennheiser has a fine reputation for production of high quality audio headphones and although I could not find any specifics in the limited documentation that accompanied the set, it appears the device is an upgrade to the PC320 gaming headset and is likely to be priced somewhat beyond the MSRP for that offering. Installation is as simple as loading the included CD and waiting for the prompt to insert the soundcard USB plug. Thereafter the installation program will continue and at completion a system restart is required.I have used the headset on three different systems thus far and somewhat curiously (for me anyway) on two of them (each running XP home) a restart is required each time the headset is attached if the system is already in operation at the time of intended use. It does not happen with a laptop running Windows 7. And, if you are as oblivious as it appears I am, it might also be worthwhile to make sure the audio jack is securely inserted into the soundcard port when switching from one computer to the next otherwise when the audio seems unimpressive and you're prepared to pan the device in a review, you don't end up feeling like a numbskull.Although the mic jack will be left dangling in some instances, the headset can be used with nearly any device with 3.5mm jack as the mic and audio jacks can be detached from the separate G4me soundcard unit and plugged into the internal soundcard. The combined length of the headset and soundcard cords is approximately 8ft and an usb extension cord provided in the package can be employed to increase one's feasible distance from the system hardware by another 2 ft.As earlier mentioned, I also listen to a variety of media and the 7.1 channel surround was impressive for both vocal based music and action oriented video dvds although it should be emphasized this headset should not be looked upon as a potential alternative to a quality set of audio headphones for anyone with audiophile expectations/ requirements as with instrumental tunes upper range frequency response seemed a bit flat or muffled. Other available configurations are 2, 4 and 5.1 channel.

First and foremost, I have tried many headphones and the Sennheiser PC 320 is by far the most comfortable one yet. These pads are extremely comfortable on my ears and are secure enough not to fall off easily. I don't feel like they're clamping on me at all like the other headsets do. I haven't tested out the mic yet but I'll update that later after I finish enjoy the great sound and comfort.I use the Astro Mixamp so I can connect it to my Xbox360. I got the PC 320 because it is relatively cheaper than the xbox counterpart X320 and they're about the same. The only difference between PC320 and X320 is the volume control button. The PC320 has a single volume control on the right ear (which is a circular dial by adjusting with your finger) and the X320 has a voice and sound control separately on the wire. By itself it's a good feature but since I'm using the Mixamp, I don't need that feature. I tried the TurtleBeach x31 and they're pretty comfortable but they have this "hissing" sound, or white noise, that I cannot stand. My ears are very sensitive to these extra sounds so I would rather not use a headset if I don't absolutely need to. Even with the Mixamp, I could not get rid of it so I sold it after a few uses. When I first took the headset out of the box, it feels really light. I thought it's going to suck because a light headset from my experience = flimsy and feeble sound. How wrong was I! The sound was solid and I can hear everything that is going on in the game and I think Sennheiser did a really great job on that. I can hear footsteps, voices and car motor sound separately and can easily distinguish which direction they're coming from.I personally do not like heavy bass headsets for games especially when I need to talk to my teammates. What's the point of hearing the grenade blowing up that covers up your teammate yelling "ambush on right!"? But if you must and absolutely need heavy bass, I would say these are a little on the lighter side, on default settings. Currently, I use Audio Technica ATH-A700 Headphones for regular music, movie and gaming which is also somewhat lighter on bass compared to others on the market, but it's also because it's meant to listen to acoustic sounds. Most of the time I can only play using headset for a couple of hours as my ears feel sore or get too hot. I wore these as if I was listening through speakers, where the sound feels farther away and not straight sting to your ears. For the whole time I was wearing it, I do not feel it being on me as it is very light-weighted.Pros: Light-weight for prolonged usage. Sounds are softer to the ears. No "hissing" sound. Lighter bass. (IMO it's a good thing)Cons: Lighter bass. (Cons if you like more bass)PS.Cons: Extremely comfortable, 4 hours gaming feels like 1 hour which is not good (sarcasm) as this makes me play longer without knowing. =)

Sound is vitally important to gamers. Whether we're playing with the common 2D or the increasingly common 3D visual, the only other sense which involves us with the games is sound. Old time gamers will tell you that the importance of sound to the gaming experience was proved to them back in the mid to late 80's with what may be the original full immersion game 'Dungeon Master'. First brought out for the Atari ST, the game was such a hit that people bought the computer to run the $30 game. A few years later, the same game was ported to the Commodore Amiga with one minor tweak - stereo sound. That made a huge difference in the experience. Rather than all the sound seeming to be in front of you, the stereo gave the sense that things were occurring in front, to the sides and even behind you. The difference enhanced sound made was astounding.Headphones can greatly improve the sound experience in a game. These headphones may for some but will surely fail for others - many others. First a bit of description. These are very light weight - roughly 200 grams or 7 ounces. The manufacturer states that the nature of the ear cups allows ambient sound to penetrate and also due to the non-sealing nature of the cups, that your head won't overheat wearing them for a long time. The phones include a noise canceling microphone useful for in game chatting. The supplied cord is quite long allowing easy access if you need to plug this into the rear of your gaming device or PC.On the positive side - these phones work very well. The sound they produce is excellent and provides a good solid gaming experience. I was able to hear subtle sounds in Skyrim, such as vendors in the background, which I was missing using even my rather high end sound system. The biggest issue with these phones is the fit. They are huge. I wear a size 7 1/2 hat (US size, 60 metric size) and at the smallest setting, they were too wide and too long a drop from the bow to the ear cups. They'd barely work for me. I enlisted two semi-volunteers as size models having 7 /18 and 7 1/4 hat sizes (metric 57 and 58 respectively). These average sized folks found the headphones so large that they'd slip at the slightest head movement. One 'model' suggested that these were sized for Stewie - a cartoon character from the TV show _Family Guy_.The other two issues I had was that ambient sound isn't attenuated at all. While I appreciate that I can hear if someone is speaking to me outside the game, I think I'd get more immersion if the ambient sounds were attenuated at least 40%. The other issue is that even at this light weight and non-intrusive ear cup design, my ears tended to heat up a bit after some game play time - maybe 15 minutes which is hardly a marathon gaming session. These two latter issues are trivial compared to the fit issue which is completely baffling. I've used Sennheiser products before not finding that the model the company uses is Stewie or a similarly shaped individual so I can't understand what or who these are designed for.If you have a head which will work with these and are looking for gaming headphones, I can recommend these heartily but the fit issue will, I suspect, make these a good deal less desirable for many.

The Sennheiser PC 323D Gaming Headset is a high quality product that does a decent job of simulating 7.1 effects in games and movies. I'm an occasional gamer at best, so I had a long-time gamer friend try them out also, and he gave me some additional feedback for this review. The included USB soundcard was a real bonus as I doubt the existing card on my computer would have been able to operate this device. The USB adaptor is small and has nicely lighted graphics that look cool and let you know the device is connected. Setup was a breeze with the included software. I didn't have any conflicts or delays on my Win 7 system. The ergonomics of the headset are very nice. Very lightweight yet they feel substantial - not cheap. Soft fabric and padding where you need it. Easy to position the boom mic just right, plus it stays put - no unwanted drooping or creeping. Shuts off when flipped up making it very intuitive to use. The big volume control on the ear cup is great as it's a no-brainer to locate quickly. The size is adjusted for different users by sliding the headband up and down on each side. It adjusts smoothly and stays put, and offers a large range of adjustment so I imagine it will fit most anyone's dome.I found the sound quality to be excellent in both stereo mode for music, and surround for games and movies. These rival the quality of other Sennheiser's I own just for music. I love the noise cancelling feature as I live near a busy highway and sometimes traffic noise can impinge when I use another open ear style headphone I own. The outside world is pretty much nice and quiet with the PC 323D's.The 7.1 experience was fairly realistic, but obviously not as good as a true 7.1 surround sound system with actual loudspeakers. I was able to effectively pinpoint footsteps and movement to the side and behind me - which saved me from getting smoked a few times! When watching a surround encoded movie I was really impressed with how life-like it felt. I actually forgot a few times that I was wearing headphones as opposed to listening to my home theater system! I was easily able to wear the headset for several hours at a time without undue discomfort. Though they do get a bit warm after awhile. My friend played Max Payne for a few hours using the PC 323D. He was generally impressed with the clear voices and effects. He thought they sounded especially good when blowing things up - lots of low end boom with little distortion. He did note that he couldn't get the headset to go as loud as he would have liked. Maybe the volume is intentionally limited to avoid hearing damage? I don't know why it wouldn't go louder. My friend found the mic quality was excellent with clear voices and little background interference. He phoned me from his computer using the headset, and on my end his voice sounded crystal clear and very natural. After using mine, he is thinking of getting a pair of the Sennheiser PC 323D headphones for himself, but they don't seem to be in stock anywhere right now so I can't really tell him how much they will cost.I had a lot of fun with these headphones - RECOMMENDED!

Disclaimer:I'd like to point out that these are NOT noise cancelling headphones and they are NOT advertised as such. They serve a much different purpose, being open ear style. I dislike noise cancelling headphones because I need to hear the things going on around me sometimes, so they fit me perfectly.Comfort:The headset sits loosely on my head and does not feel like it is squeezing me. It may be a little small for males with large heads, but it can be adjusted to fit many sizes. Though it sits loosely on the ears, it does not fall off when laying down. After wearing it for hours every day, comfort has never been an issue. I often forget it is still on my head.Sound:The sound quality is exactly what I was looking for. It comes with its own external sound card to enhance gameplay audio if you do not have a sufficient internal card. I can usually pinpoint exactly where my enemies are in games (quite necessary for games like DayZ and counterstrike). You can switch between 7.1 and 5.1 whenever you need to. Listening to music was also a pleasant experience with these headphones.Microphone:Seems pretty clear according to my friends over Skype. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it serves its purpose. There doesn't seem to be static, but it sometimes picks up a little too much background noise (loud roommates, etc). Many other headset mics do the same thing. Overall, the mic is pretty standard quality compared to similar headsets. Definitely not a deal-breaker.Design:The ear volume adjust comes in handy since there is no volume controller on the cord (not necessary if there is one on the ear anyway). The mic mutes when you push it up far enough, but I find it can be difficult to move in the midst of playing a game (I might just need to break it in a little more). The design of the headset overall feels a little flimsy, but it has proven itself tough after extended use. The earcups are over-the-ear, which is the standard for many headsets these days. They don't seem to be extra large, but they will definitely fit most regular sized ears. Conclusion:This is, by far, the best headset I have ever owned. What else can you expect from Sennheiser?

I have a very difficult time finding comfortable headphones as is, let alone actual headsets. I bought these after hearing good things from a friend who purchased them a few years back and after reading the reviews on Amazon. I'm absolutely in love with this headset and am tempted to pick up another one (or the newer version) for a second set so I don't have to transport these to and from work.I've had these for ~8 months now using primarily for listening to music and video gaming (vent/mumble/skype).Pros:- Sound is excellent- Super comfortable cups!- Snug fit that doesn't go away after time - these still fit me as if (maybe slightly better) as they did when they were brand new!- Durable! I've dropped these, run over the cord, accidentally thrown them off my desk... countless times and they are still perfect.Cons:- Issues with mic mute: I noticed about a month or so after buying these that the mute button was not actually muting the microphone - since i didn't use these for voice chat immediately and i typically use push-to-talk, i didn't notice this right away so i'm unaware if the problem existed from the very start. But the mute switch is extremely wonky. At first, switching to mute was apparently not actually muting the mic, then sometimes switching down to NOT mute WOULD mute the mic, but most of the time the switch just accomplished absolutely nothing. After a few months of accepting that my mute switch was busted, I randomly gave it a shot with something again and found out that it WAS working now. After being very happy about it working for unknown reasons, I was soon to be disappointed again - within a few weeks the switch stopped working again. I've been able to work around the problem by using mute/push-to-talk through the voice chat programs that I use and most recently by plugging the set into my new G510 keyboard as it has headphone controls on the keyboard so i don't notice it much anymore - but this was pretty aggravating on and off for a while.

My PC350 is on the way, but not for the first time - I ordered one about 5 years ago and have used it daily since. The microphone was clear and sounded great, and every Sennheiser product I've ever used has astonishing sound. I got started on Sennheiser as a DJ on the radio, where all the headphones were made by them, and decided I needed the same quality for my setup at home. Not only is the sound great (both incoming and outgoing), especially considering this is a gaming headset, but I can wear these for hours and hours and hours *WITH* glasses and completely forget they're even on! On top of this, Sennheiser advertises on their website that this headset has noise cancellation. That. is. an. understatement! When I wear my 350's, even at half or lower volume, I hear nothing - not my PC fans, not other people talking (or even yelling), I even didn't hear fire trucks racing by 10 feet from my window. (For me this is a very good thing, but not for everyone)If you're wondering why I'm ordering another of this item, it's not because it's defective. The truth is simply that I've worn the old pair so much that the padding is finally breaking down and while I was rebuilding my office I sliced off the microphone wire. I use several headsets in my home office of different brands (while this is an outstanding headset, it's a little too expensive to have more than one) and no matter how hard I search or what brands I try, the quality and comfort never sizes up to my 350's.A few less-than-technical details:The headset cable is very long (around 8 feet). Although I have a headphone extension cable I've never needed it.The connectors are standard 1/8" headphone/microphone, so if you need this for USB, make sure to get an external USB sound card. (I recommend turtle beach for this - not the cheapest out there, but good sound quality and the short USB cable, about 2", makes the product a little more durable)The microphone does *NOT* disconnect! I use these as ordinary headphones all the time, but if you need a removable mic, this is not the product. The mic does swivel (only in one direction, this headset is not built to be worn any way except with the mic on the left ear) but does not come off.Short review: if you have the cash, you NEED this headset!

Let me establish two things about these headphones from the outset. First, they are pretty good headphones - nothing major is wrong with them. Secondly, I can't give a really honest review because Amazon says they are "current unavailable," and knowing the price helps me to determine how they rate; price is a critical factor in rating any product. I received my pair for free from the Amazon Vine program. Here is the rundown of the good and the bad. At the end of this review, I will say what I think they are worth.Pros:* They are lightweight and pretty comfortable. The pad on the top is adequate but not overdone.* The size adjustments work well overall. You can tell by the way it slides and adjusts that it is high quality and built to last.* The earphone pads are soft and made of cloth, not vinyl, so there's no sweat on the ears after prolonged use.* The microphone is superb. They do indeed seem to be "noise canceling" and the sound comes through clear. It's a huge improvement over the built-in mic on my Mac, which kind of surprised me. On one occasion, I forgot I had it plugged in. When I tried to do a video chat, the person on the other end could hear me very well, despite the fact that the headset was sitting five feet behind me on the book shelf.* The cord is VERY long - I think about ten feet. This is what made it possible for the headphones to be *behind* me on the bookshelf even though they were plugged into the computer.Cons:* They come only with old-fashioned headphone jacks. I had to buy a USB adapter for use on my new Mac Mini (I think Mac Books should be OK as they come). Not a big problem, but it would've been nice to get a USB adapter with the headphones.* The sound quality of the actual headphones is decent but not great. I'd say somewhere slightly above average.* Because they are "unavailable" on Amazon, I cannot determine the price point.I said at the beginning of this review that I would say what I think they're worth. This matters a great deal, in my opinion. If this headset is very expensive, I would be disappointed that the product was not better for the money. If it was really cheap, I would be extremely impressed. Let me put this another way. If this headset sells for $30 or less, I would give it a confident 5 stars. If it sold for $60 or less, I would give it 4 stars. If it sells for very much over $75, I would have to keep my original rating of 3 stars. This is not a negative reflection on the headset itself: as I said before, there is really nothing wrong with it. But I simply don't think it's a 4- or 5-star product for much more than about $50-60.

Audio - the audio quality of these headphones is spectacular, as is expected from any high end Sennheiser product. I initially had this reviewed as lesser quality, however it was pointed out in the comments that the impedance is 150 Ohms as opposed to 50 Ohms, which means for some devices that do not push enough signal, these will actually not sound all that great, and might even sound choppy and terrible. With the proper input signal, though, they do sound just fantastic, with an audio response extending well beyond the range of human hearing, and absolutely crystal clear presentation; (my tests "with enough signal" were playing guitar through a preamp, and let me tell you: it sounding AWESOME!)Microphone - The microphone quality was very top notch. I'm not actually a gamer at all, but I do a lot a home recoding, and my setup for this is embarrassingly simple. The headphone mic here works as well as any other mic I've used. It eliminates hisses and pops which are otherwise hard to avoid when singing directly into a mic, so no need for a screen. Plus the headset doubles as your over-ear-monitor. Works like a charm and the audio quality is excellent - good enough for recording and certainly off the charts for gaming.Comfort - They are lightweight and very comfy. Not as over the top as the audiophile HD558 headset that I also had the pleasure of reviewing: those are even lighter and don't have the folding-up feature, which makes one handed removal difficult and annoying. (Granted those ones don't have a microphone either).Function - I like the built-in volume function, although I generally have it cranked and control the volume at the source. Nice feature when needed though. The braided cord is a nice heavy duty touch. The included case is great, but the way they fold is a little awkward and, as noted above, also makes one-hand removal somewhat difficult. In summary, the functionality is spectacular, the audio is fabulous, the mic is great, and I have very minor complaints with the form and folding design. I would highly recommend these to any gamer and even for general headphone use. But I would also caution that the impedance is higher than most headphones so you'll sound a slightly more powerful signal to really get the most out of these.

I waited a long time to review this headset, to be sure I really got to know it. After a few months of use I can honestly say it has superb audio quality, and outstanding ergonomics.By ergonomics I mean they are light on the ears. I have been wearing them all day, every day, for a month. Unlike a lot of full-sized headphones, these don't make my ears sore after a few hours. That may sound silly, but poor ergonomics has been responsible for me trashing many headphones over the years. If they make my ears hurt, I can't wear them, simple as that. It's like clothes, first they have to fit - you have to be able to physically wear them, or the rest is pointless.Audio quality lives up to the Sennheiser audiophile reputation. I use these to listen to youtube music-videos while working. They have great bass, naturally, which is a weak point for cheaper headphones. And awesome spatial imaging, which again is a weak point for cheaper units that can make the music sound like it's coming from inside your head. These don't do that. Note: be careful not to listen to music with the "3D GAME1" engaged (see below). There is a dongle on the headset cord to engage/disengage gamer mode. It works great for games, but really messes with the presentation of music, which is probably why they made it so easily switchable. When playing games it gives better spatial imaging for audio effects. You spin your avatar around and sounds spin around your head - fun.I also use the headset with TeamSpeak3 every day to communicate with fellow traders. They have never heard anyone sound so clear as I do with these. The headset's microphone works even better than my dedicated USB Logitech desktop microphone, which had hitherto been the best we knew.A few people seem to resent the attached cord, preferring wireless. Well, it is what it is - I can't knock off a star off for that. On the plus side, I can grab the PC323D and it always works - no worries about uncharged batteries or lines of sight. Besides, the cord is not really intrusive; it's not like the old spiral-wound telephone cords of headsets past, but a thin light strand - thinner than a USB cable.Bottom line, the PC 323D really is a step up from your standard headsets. Having used a variety of thirty dollar headsets and hundred dollar headphones in the past, I'm really pleased to finally be using the top of the line.

My previous experience with gaming headsets was very limited and low quality prior to this purchase; I used an old Creative headset for a long time without realizing what I was missing. My friend and his family seem to buy Sennheiser headphones exclusively and have given the brand a grand amount of praise. When I finally decided that I wanted something more than my old headset I did a little research, considering sound quality, surround capabilities, build quality etc. and I found myself looking at these beauties. I took a bit of an educated gamble by purchasing this headset, not knowing exactly what it felt like to wear but convinced that it would be satisfactory at the very least. I was surprised beyond belief when I got my hands on the set: The build quality is astounding, compared to anything I ever owned anyway; The audio quality is crisp and clear, very balanced sound all around without any overpowered elements; The virtual 7.1 surround sound is strange to get used to, especially when you try to use it in other applications, however it enhances gaming experience by exponential amounts; The microphone is VERY clear and sturdy, picks up only what it should and doesn't get in the way of snacks; Comfort with the headset will be very bad at first as the ear cups will initially attempt to crush your skull, however this should loosen up with time; The "DJ" style swivel cup is just too awkward in my experience, it's faster and easier to just move the cup off your ear rather than trying to get the joint to move.Pros:Great soundVirtual 7.1 surround soundDurableExcellent microphoneReasonable priceUSB extension includedCan be used with either the 3.5mm jacks or with the 7.1 USB deviceCons:Very tight at firstDJ swivel is useless (if you don't like it then just don't move it, as it will not move easily)Price (More than I'm used to spending on headsets, however this is now my new standard)Doesn't have bacon includedOverall: If you want a new headset for PC gaming with great sound, great features and great quality at an affordable price, look no further!2 month update: The high pressure from the ear-cups is no longer a problem, as the headset seems to have been worked in to fit my head quite nicely. Give it time! These things are awesome! The virtual 7.1 is sick!

These headphones are pretty good. They aren't perfect, but to get better you have to spend double the amount. What I liked...** They have a really long cord -10 feet long to be exact. You can use these to play from anywhere. If you are only using this for music, you don't need this benefit, but if you are gaming, it will be appreciated.** They are lightweight. I have a 20 year old pair of earmuff headphones like these, and the quality is the same, but the weight of these new ones is 1/3 less, and they don't squeeze my ears like my old pair, which means I can wear them a lot longer.* Noise cancelling MIC. Please note: THESE ARE NOT NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES. They have a noise cancelling MICROPHONE. Noise cancelling headphones have a distinctive light hiss, and actively reduce outside sound, by creating negative noise. These do not do this in any way. They will just make it easier for people on the other end of your game to hear you. It doesn't make it any easier for you to hear them.* Comfortable. I actually have used these for jogging on the treadmill, and I found that there was a little air circulation, which meant I didn't sweat like I thought I would. (I later read that these headphones were designed for this air circulation, which I found was a nice touch.)What I didn't like...- The description on the Amazon product page might need to be rewritten a little bit. It is not misleading, per se, but it can be a little confusing. Many of the reviews for this product are written by people who are touting its noise cancelling abilities, while, in reality, there are no noise cancelling qualities of the headphones, only the microphone. They are good headphones, and the earmuff like speakers do insulate your ears from outside noise, but there is no active noise cancelling interference going on, like with other high end Sennheiser or Bose sets, only insulation from outside noise. If you really want "noise cancellation" as a feature, you'll have to look for higher end headphones.- No volume control or mute button. For serious headphone/mic gaming, a mute button is important, but these headphones don't have one. For headphones, a volume control toggle would have been nice -instead, you have to go to the actual device directly (TV, iPad, or whatever) to adjust the volume.Overall, a nice quality set of headphones. Recommended.

Bought this headset after many a foray into crap and marketing (Turtle Beach, Tritton, Steelseries, Speedlink, etc.)If I could take all of the money back I spent on those headsets and just purchase this one, I would buy it for full retail price. Luckily, I spent $156 for this thanks to a sale and I feel that is a great price for what you get. That having been said, it is expensive but the last headset you will buy. This headset uses the same drivers as the HD595 from Sennheiser. There are numerous reviews on this pair of headphones so i won't go into them. This means that this headset is great for listening to music with as well as gaming. The bass can be lackluster at times if you're used to booming explosions but the positioning is great.Paired with an X-Fi Titanium HD, the positioning on this is third to the AKG K701 and Audiotechnica ATH-AD700. That's not to say that the positioning is terrible and you should buy those headphones over this. This is the best headset you can buy for any sort of competitive gaming where positional audio is necessary. With the other headphones, you'd have to buy a mic (not a big deal), but if you're looking for an all in one solution, this is it.If you need isolation, be aware that these leak sound due to their design. Anyone in the room will be able to hear everything.Pros:Positional audio with CMSS-3D (and I assume Dolby Headphone) is amazing. No trouble locating everything around youFun for musicMic is extremely clear and does well with cancelling background noise; no one has issue hearing me.Open back for larger soundstage (helps with positioning as well as music listening)Like all Senns, these are built well and sturdy.Cons:Price (Although it is a good quality mid-fi headphone with mic attached so the price, even at $220, is pretty good)Cable is cheap and likes to wind itself up, but I'm used to hefty cables like that on Grado, HiFiMan, and Fostex

Good:-Incredibly comfortable: I wear glasses and it is such a relief to have a headset for once that doesn't put those annoying pressure points into your brains.-Fantastic mic: It's nice to be heard clearly but now everyone can hear my funny breathing.-Very immersing sound: Absolutely no bass but the mid and treble are FANTASTIC. Very punchy. Sounds as good as my 6" speakers with a tweeter, except blasted directly into my ear holes.-Awesomely clear sound: Everything is crisp and I listen to a lot of House music, i.e. Daft Punk, which is usually filled with lots of energy and sound in the mid to high ranges. The bass is a little muddled though.-Looks nice: It has an expensive look to it and a sleek, nice feel, albeit it feels a little flimsy.Bad:-Feels a little flimsy: I'm used to $20-$40 headsets and they often have much stiffer plastic and I can beat them up. I'm not so sure about this one.-Weird auto mute: I find the auto mute feature on it odd. I'd rather have no auto mute or a button or something. Just my opinion.-Weird volume control: Again, I find the knob idea odd also. Feels like I'm opening a jar of peanut butter on the side of my head or using an old rotary phone. I'd rather have an inline option or nothing at all. Just my opinion again.-No bass: I would have assumed something that costs $100 and is much larger than cheap earphones would provide more bass than what comes with say, an iPod, but I was wrong.Overall:-Awesome bang for your buck: Fits my budget and head. I don't have a freakishly large or small head but many other brands in the same price range have a funny fit and I have taken them back same day. Same with their sound quality and mic. Terrible in comparison and immediately went back. This is my first Sennheiser and I'm impressed. Despite the lack of bass (I didn't buy them for that anyways), this is $100 worth of incredible clarity and crisp sound great for gaming or casual listening.

Sennheiser makes good headsets. This one will not compete with the best of them, but will give good quality sound. It's too early for me to tell if it's good for the selling price range. Where this excels is its 7.1 sound. After installing the drivers, I decided to try out a Blu-ray disc to see how good the surround sound was. Initially I was hearing sound from both my speakers and the headset. Once I muted the speakers, I started going through a menu (unrelated to the headset) that makes a characteristic click when I go through the options. What was uncanny was the feeling that the sound was still coming from the speakers. I took the headphones off to double check, and sure enough the sound was coming from them. Yet the feeling that it came from 10 feet in front of me was convincing. When I played a Blu-ray disc, the surround kicked in, and it really seemed that I was listening to a surround system. Likewise, the sound was good with games and programs such as Skype. The microphone worked well, was clear, and there was no problem with noise or feedback.Setup was relatively easy. The included disc installs the drivers, and there's a tray icon that allows you to pick 7.1 sound, or any other option you desire. You can also get the latest drivers (the ones on my disc were current) from the senncom (with two n's) website. Under Windows (I'm using Windows 7) with the PC323D set as the default communications device and my speakers set as the default device, I automatically got sound through my speakers for everyday applications and multimedia, and automatically got sound through the headphones for gaming and communications applications. If you want a different configuration, it can be set manually through your OS.The biggest disadvantage for me was the length of the cord. If you sit near a PC when using these, you won't have a problem. If you are set up for games and communications programs with an HDTV display and with a couch ten feet away, it might be a problem. The package includes a USB extension so you can plug things in from across the room. But the headset plugs into an adapter/switch that will end up half way between the PC and the headset. For me, it acted as a weight, making the cord too short.Overall, you get good sound, easy setup, and surround that's spectacular for a headset based system. I would have preferred something wireless for my system, but as of the time I'm writing this, I don't know what the selling price will be.

I began my quest back in late 2010. My objective was to find the best gaming headset for PC. I had been using a pair of Steel Series SteelSound 5H V2 for 3 years and was really unimpressed with the sound quality, so having great sound was a top priority for me. After reading countless reviews, doing hours of research on headphone niche websites, I chose the Sennheiser PC 350 since they were closed back and had fairly good reviews. When I got them, however, I found the sound quality to be far less than I was hoping. The bass was empty and the sound hollow. I next decided to try a very nice set of cans with a clip-on microphone, so my second purchase was a set of Sennheiser HD595 and a Zalman Microphone Zm-Mic1. Well the headphones sounded fantastic, but the microphone quality was beyond terrible. It simply was not tolerable. So I went back to the drawing board, and decided to buy the Beyerdynamic MMX 300, which are basically the Beyerdynamic DT 770 with a nice microphone on them. I was pleased with the sound quality and the sound isolation was perfect (they're closed back headphones) but they weren't particularly adjustable, heavy, and would pinch my head, though my head is pretty large. Also, after a while my ears would get hot so I couldn't use them for extended periods. Then the sound in the left ear started to crackle, so I had to return them. Rather than replacing them, I decided to go with the newer Sennheiser PC360.I was wary about their open design, but after having the HD595 for a week, I decided I could bare outside noise for superior sound quality. As far as I can tell the PC360 use the exact same driver as the HD595, but it has a great sounding boom mic on it. They have velour earpads and are made out of a special light-weight plastic so their comfort is extraordinary. It really is amazing how lightweight they are. The adjustable volume on the right ear is very handy as is the mic auto-mute when you click it up into the stowed position. I really could not be happier with my purchase. They are very open which is a double edged sword. On the plus side, their frequency response is fantastic. I heard details in songs that I never knew were there before. The mids are warm and inviting, the bass is present but not overbearing (as it was in the MMX300), and the highs are crystal clear. They also ventilate well and I've never felt my ears getting remotely hot. On the down side there is absolutely no sound isolation. I can hear almost as clearly with them on as I can with them off, though that's only an issue when I have no sound playing. The sound doesn't bleed out too terribly, but as I use them in my room with the door shut most of the time that isn't really a concern of mine. If I were someone who used their PC in a room with a lot of other noises or people, I would probably look to a closed back set of headphones/headsets.After 5 months of using these for at least 3 hours a day, I would say that I was successful in my quest. In my opinion, the Sennheiser PC360s is the best sounding, most comfortable headset on the market. I would recommend it to almost anyone, with the only exception being people who would be listening in noisy rooms. They having a fairly low impedance, so just about any sound card can run them effectively, however I would recommending making at least some investment into an after market sound card. Also, I would recommend buying a Sennheiser Headphone Holder. It would be nice of Sennheiser to include it with the headset, as they did with the HD595, but I'm ok spending an extra $15 for the convenience of having handy headset storage. I'm thinking my next purchase will be an ASTRO MixAmp so that I can use them with my Xbox 360 & PS3.

Великолепно

I've had my PC350 headset for about four years. They were my first Sennheisers, and I liked them enough to go on to buy a HD598 for when I didn't need a microphone. I've reviewed that one here as well. Amazingly good.Admittedly, the bass was a little flimsy when I got the PC350, mostly due to them being a closed headset with an originally open headset's driver in it. The folks at Head.fi discovered that you could disassemble the headset and (carefully) drill a single 1/8th inch hole in the back of each of the driver enclosures, and that improved things drastically. I tried it, and had great results. The bass totally came to life. That was about two years ago.About a month ago, the pleather on the ear cups started to crack and peel a bit. That was a bummer, but I figured they were near the end of their life after four years of daily use and that was all there was to it. How wrong that was! Instead of the material splitting and breaking like a normal pleather would, I discovered it was just a thin layer of plastic "painted" onto cloth. I carefully peeled it all off and now my PC350 feels just like the velour cups on my HD598. They still look great and I never cared for the pleather, so that was another big improvement. This headset was a four star when I got it. After four years and a couple tweaks, I'm definitely giving it a five.
