survived a 21000 mile road trip!!
I bought a front(130/70/18) and rear (180/65/16) set for my 2010 street glide. what a fantastic tire. the handling compared to the stock dunlops is phenomenal. they rode better, and they lasted much longer too. the front tire wore out first after ~18000 miles. the rear lasted until the end of the trip, 21000 miles. they handled great all the way until the end. they survived rain, ice, dirt, and mud. i wouldnt recommend mud or ice, but it does great in the rain. they were sticky all the way until my footboards were scraping. probably further if i couldve done it(i tried, the brackets on the footboard dont appreciate it. so after two months, 21000 miles, 48 states, and part of canada these tires are highly recommended for anybody looking to do long rides. i wont put any other tire on mine as long as its still in one piece

They do not throw you bike like Dunlap tires when you hit tar snakes in the road.
You can tell the difference as soon as you ride your bike in the curves in West Virginia. I have a 2015 road glide and I love the way it handles in curves. I got 18000 miles on the back and the front still was good for 25000 miles, but I replaced both at the same time due to the back needed replaced.

Great Tire
I'm impressed with these tires. I was having a lot of problems with corning. Some corners have waves in them. The waves would wobble me all over the road.. I installed these tires front and back, and headed for those corners to see how these feel. The wobble was gone.. Plus the bike feels a lot more nimble. I'm so impressed how much better my bike feels with these tires. It even rides smoother..

Not much to say other than it handles and performs like Michelin’s should I put it on my 2008 Harley Davidson dyna and I ride canyons hard best tire hands down

Excellent Tire
Upon first mounting my new Michelin Commander II on my Wide Glide, I was disappointed and skeptical of my decision. The compound on the tire compared to the HD Dunlop was/is significantly harder and far less sticky. When shifting into 2d and 3d, I found myself losing traction, actually sliding my rear end a foot out with the wheel spinning like crazy. My driving habits were nowhere as extreme as normal, as I am aware of the "burn off" period when buying a new tire. Needless to say, after putting about 100 miles on the new tire, and ridding it of whatever protective coating installed by the manufacturer, I am now very pleased with the grip and stick of the tire. Equally, it must have a different or transitional compound, so as you lean the bike off the center ride path and onto the outside of the tire (when cornering), it holds firm and has no slip. In a tight corner, and I mean when scraping pegs, this tire sticks firm and has fantastic traction and control. Also, it seems this tire is a bit "rounder" that the Dunlop. Transitioning from upright to a tight lean is effortless and feels great.
Bottom line: Great tire. I have 2000 miles on it now and there is no noticeable tread wear at all. (my last Dunlop only lasted 3700 miles and was a slick). I understand that when transitioning to a high mileage tire something has to give, and in this case, it's grip, but honestly I notice an improvement. We'll see how long it actually lasts.

Really great tire
Commander II tires are amazing. I have approx. 11K miles on mine, and they still have a lot of tread life left. there is very, very mild flattening of the rear profile. The grip is excellent, wet or dry. I would buy this model of tire again without hesitation.

front tire is worn out in 7k miles, not my biggest concern, just putting it out there
good handling tire was an improvement over the harley dunlops that came on the bike, a 2006 sporty.
not gonna buy another commander 2 for the front , a friend has the same bike with another brand that i like much better. And his tires have about 10k on them and do not need replacing and when going through the twisties his bike somehow seems much lighter than mine, maybe the tires?

Amazing tires
These look like great tires. The date codes are current so they aren’t old and been sitting in a warehouse somewhere. These are getting mounted right now so after the first ride I will update.

Great Tire
Great tire for Harley Deuce owners. Riding is much more responsive and cornering speeds much higher over the stock Dunlop tires. The shape of the Dunlops probably was done with drag racing in mind but I was always fighting the flat center, take effort to make any turn and wants to fall sharply when you get past it.

Great tire for the miles and corners
Got this on my 2015 FLD Dyna switchback. Around 11k miles now and the middle tread is gone finally. Much better than stock Dunlop tire that lasted half the miles and grips and corners much better as well. I bought for the front and just as impressive.

Great tires
I had these tires installed on my 2013 Harley Road Glide at 20,000 miles. They are much more responsive than the original equipment tires. They take some getting used to. But I took my bike on a 2500 mile trip as soon as they were installed and they performed beautifully.

I dont know how many miles I'm honna get out of it, but all this summer (2020) it has gotten great traction and hasnt seemed to wear any really.. Wish they didnt stop making this tire.. Maybe the 3 is ok.....?

As always, a good tire from Michelin
Great for casual riders that push the envelope regularly but need a tire that lasts for miles. I found them better in the rain the the stock Dunlop’s as well. Keep them at the right pressure and they will last quite a bit longer.

Good tires for my Harley Road Glide
These tires were recommended by friends. Now I know why. They really give you a nice feeling of good traction. Very happy with this tire.

Great tire.
Tires handle very well in the curves, and do not track the road. I only have 2000 miles on the tire so will update review as I ride. I’ve always used tires from the Harley dealer and so far these feel much better.

Great tire!
I have been using this brand for a few years now and I live in Florida where the blacktop is rough and will go though tires like crazy. I get at least twice the miles as the Dunlap's tires.

Awesome Tire
Installed a set on a 2016 Harley Ultra Classic, and was impressed with the tires from day one. Bike handles better than ever and tread wear is even. Highly recommended if you want a smooth ride.

I got 12,500 with the M888s before the tread started to seperate badly, these tires are made to last longer, we shall see, I expect at least 16 thousand out of them.

Eight years old being sold as new!
This tire was sent to me with a manufacturer date of 2012 so it was already 8 years old being sold as new. Please check the manufacturer date on your tires when you think you are buying new. It is very dangerous to ride with old tires, especially on a motorcycle.

Great tire, I put 8,700+ miles still at 5/32 , but at 8 years old time to replace with the same great brand & type. You can’t go wrong with Michelin.

Same mileage as the $pendier tires without the cupping.ings
I've been buying these for my Electraglides for years. The millage compares to Dunlop but they've never cupped the way The Dunlops sometimes do, and they're quite a bit less expensive.

looks exactly like the picture arrived ahead of time and hope it preforms well. I now have the tire installed all seems to be working out pretty good first 5 miles took a little getting used to they seem to stick better to the road which causes them to feel like your going slower than you actually are & one other thing the tire may make like a whoom noise when coming to a stop but i have heard from others that it clears up when the tire breaks in. so far no complaints and i am glad i purchased the set.....

Great tire, left it to the professionals to put on.
I've only heard great things about these tires - I put a full set on my Honda Rebel and I expect it to last much longer than the stock Dunlop 404s, which only lasted 3.5K miles. Sad.

long lasting as promised
This tire has nearly doubled the life span of my rear tire on my 2008 Victory Vision. I find nothing to dislike about this tire. traction is as good as any other tire I have used. Many of the other brands I have used like the Dunlop Elite 3 would always develop cupping or flat spots but the first one of these that I have worn out remained round and true all the way to the end of it's life. This is the second purchase for me and I will continue to use this tire. Hopefully there will be a Commander 2 that will fit my front tire in the future.

Think long and hard before this buying this tire
My second commander that had cupping all along the center of the tire. I’ve tried calling the company and get no answer or help. I thought what could cause this, my neck bearings are greased, my fork oil is good, tire pressure stays above 35psi, etc etc. so no more commanders for me.

Good tire, great comfort riding
After the tire was installed I noticed a major improvement in ride comfort and handling. Also a nice aggressive looking tread pattern. Haven’t tried it in the rain yet but the tread channels are so deep I have no doubt that it will perform well.

I HATE-HATE-HATED how the stock Dunlops handled. I don't do too many long rides, but I commute by bike whenever I can and end up riding around 6000 miles a season. The Dunlops felt like every little crease and groove in the road was grabbing my handlebars away from me. I swapped bikes with my husband several times to see if he thought there was something wrong with mine (I thought there MUST be!).
The difference with these tires is like NIGHT and DAY, and my bike is darn near perfect now! I ride over heavily grooved concrete with these and hardly even notice. Quick, easy, responsive swerving and turning, smooth smooth ride. I don't care if the softer rubber means I have to replace them twice as often. It's WORTH IT!
Oh, and they arrived super-quick, too.
Update 4/2016 - still riding on these & loving them, so they last a good long time. I've probably put at least 15,000 miles on them.

The only tire for my Bike
Only tire I will use on my bike - Just put the 4th set of Commander II's on my 2011 Kawasaki Voyager 1700. Used with dyna beads, these tires handle superbly on wet or dry pavement. Solid grip through the twisties and smooth ride for the long haul. I am averaging 16,000 miles per set - far better than the 6,000 miles I got out of the stock Bridgestones that came on the bike. I am a Big Fan of these tires. At least five other riders I know have switched to these for their bikes (Kawasaki's, Hondas and Harleys) and they are fans as well. After seeing how well they hold up and wear on my bike and a Road King that I convinced to try these, the independent shop I use for installations has stopped selling any other tire and will only sell and install these on bikes - Yes - They are that GOOD!

Wow, what a ride now!
I didn't realize how badly my old tires were worn until I rode on the new ones. Now, riding feels Soooooo nice and smooth and aggressive.... Ha ha ha... Great purchase.

Michelin Commander 2
Installed this on my 2006 Harley Davidson street bob running a Michelin scorcher 31 in the rear and decided to run this in the front after many comments of the scorcher 31 front tires make noise. Stiff rubber took a lot of extra strength to stretch it over a 19 inch rim. Very please with appearance.

Better than the crappy Dunlop that came on the bike.
This is a night and day difference from the Dunlop, road snake heart palpitation are a thing of the past and superior wet and dry grip. Installed on a victory cross country.

I love these tires
I love these tires, I have them on all my cruisers. They have tons of grip and a long tread life. They hold very well in the rain, not as well as Avon Cobras (but lets be real, not many do). There are many times I have been in weather I shouldn't have been in, and I have never had an slip or shudder.

I have been running Michelin Commanders on my Fatboy (80k miles) for some years. I get 24k miles out of the 130 front with 2/32nds left and 16k miles on the 150 rear. Half of that mileage is 2 up riding. All around great wet and dry road tire. I run 36 psi front and 40 psi rear as Harley suggests.

YOU WOULD BE STUPID NOT TO PURCHASE THIS TIRE FOR YOUR BIKE !!!
I have ridden a Harley all of my life and I'm 67 now. As any Harley fan knows, Harleys (usually) come stock from the factory with Dunlop tires. I have always replaced tires with what the factory recommended. However, I have a Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classic. The bike weighs 1,350 pounds without fuel or oil in it so Dunlops average about 10,000-12,000 miles or less.
I switched to this tire because of Michelin's tire comparisons and guarantee and let me tell you that the second I turned out of the dealer's lot I could immediately tell the improved handling! The ride is comfortable and you feel improved control and comfort. The bike corners like it is on rails!
I now have 16,000 miles on these tires and they are going strong. I guarantee you that any future Harley purchase will require the dealer to rip off the crummy Dunlops and replace them with Michelin Commander IIs!

Great tire for a good price, would buy again.
Now that I've put some time and miles on these, I'm absolutely loving these tires. Great grip and tracking, that respond well in turns, tight or long, weather and pavement doesn't bother it. Brushes water out of the way, quickly gets rid of dirt or other debris that might have got caught in the treads.

cant go wrong! amazing contact patch! never thought it would last 11,000 miles but even after 4 track days they did the job! cant wait until my new ones get in. another tire that is great but not as sticky if you want something to last a little longer is the Dunlop elite multi compound makes for a longer last if you just plan on flattening the rear....

Just put this on my 06 Street Bob. Amazing tires coming from the Pacific Northwest where we get our fair share of rain they do remarkable.
Purchased these for the first time about 6 years ago for my 96 Kawasaki Vulcan and they have held up amazingly.

Excellent tire
I purchased the Michelin Pro Commander II in August 2012 for the rear, and a front in June 2013. Since then, I have 7000 miles on the rear tire and 4000 on the front tire. So far these tires have exceeded my expectations in every way. At an average of 5000 miles on each tire, they still look almost new. I expect to far exceed 10000 miles on these tires.
I have read several comments about these tires performing questionably in the rain, and having driven hundreds of miles in the rain with these tires, I attest that they are the single best handling tires I've yet experienced. The deep treads with grooves that seep water to the outside seem to work perfectly. I experienced no slipping and enjoyed firm grip and handling.
In normal road conditions, these tires have performed excellent. They grip the road and allow for deep turns and higher speeds. Equally, the perform fantastically on the highway where I normally cruise at about 70-75 mph. I do not experience travel when I hit tar lines or grooves in the road. They're just great.
My tires are mounted on a HD FXDWG. I have previously smoked Dunlop rear tires in about 8000 miles and fronts in 10000. I've also run Metzlers with the same result. I am now a firm Michelin fan and won't buy another brand or model tire.
