BUYERS BEWARE:The product will most likely be faulty. Your health might even suffer from engaging in extensive research for nonexistent solutions. Although Logitech has fixed some problems regarding the memory leaks and cutoffs through drivers, the product still presents a lackluster sound quality with all the crackling sounds. I am in a great position to say that the 4 and 5 star ratings are premature compliments that preceded the onset of this excessive and unacceptable crackling. I do not blame these reviewers; I would have initially given the g930 a 5 star rating as well. However - after a week - the crackling set in and I was one in a few hundred who have experience the same dissatisfaction. This is my fault for disregarding the power of reviews, overlooking these consumers as recipients faulty products.If you find yourself experiencing the same problems, please do hesitate in blaming your retailer. Chances are, it is Logitech to blame for not backing up this product with the service it was once reputable for.One last thing: the 7.1 will make you feel like you are sitting in a cave. The only sounds surrounding the listener are echoes.

As probably everyone has said these are great comfortable, headphones with awesome sound but they are not good for wireless. Once you disconnect from the USB cord you will get drop outs in the sound which is really annoying. Not just playing games but movies and music as well.

There's a few things to talk about with this wireless headset. I've been a advocate for Wired headsets for a long time even when the first wireless ones came out. I knew the technology wasn't quite ready to handle what I wanted in a wireless headset.I've only had the headset for a few days and already I am super impressed. Everytime I go to mess with my "wires" out of Habit I think. Man this is such a great purchase!Range: Seriously! This is the most amazing part of the entire headset. I live in a 2200sq ft house and I can't find a single spot in the house where it skips or breaks up. Even in my garage which is on the opposite side of the house, or in the basement, it never gets worse!Installation was easy. The quality is everything you'd expect from a gaming headset, amazing.I'm no expert on sound quality so I can't really say if its superb. But its seems pretty clear to me.Battery life is as advertised, I can definitely get a solid 10 hours out of these.The only con I can think of has to do more with the software rather than the hardware itself. The software has an advanced equalizer feature, which is good, however I'd love to see some presets added to this feature.The microphone sensitivity is nearly perfect out of the box. This is probably the only headset I am actually considering not using a push-to-talk key on. Even if I decide to still go with a PTT key, I'll set it to one of the G-Keys so I can walk around the house while talking! Awesome.Overall this headset is exceeded my expectations in all areas. Its definitely the best I've ever owned.

Very good headset for gaming. When playing Skyrim with this you really shiver when dragons fly over your head. Also, the cable for recharging comes with a clever little device with a usb slot in it so it doesnt take up an additional port.

I have gotten two of these headsets. Both constantly breakup the sound. I checked out the support pages and turned off all wireless devices in the house, but still no luck with getting them to work. My Turtle Creek wireless headset for my x-box works great. I will check them out to see if they have one for the pc.

My last Logitech headset recently conked out on me after about two years of use - I could still hear perfectly, but the microphone wouldn't pick up any sound. My last set was something similar to this, a wireless headset with some sort of noise cancellation that went on-ear instead of over-ear.I decided to take the plunge and buy these for a couple of factors (and I'm really glad I did). I wanted to have a headset with Dolby 7.1 for movie watching and for video games - and this has lived up to those expectations wonderfully. I also wanted to make sure that I got over-ear headphones because after long gaming sessions, or even a reasonably lengthy movie my ears would start to hurt with the ones I previously had. These have abolished that problem - they are extremely comfortable and very well put together. My only comfort gripe is that if you have a very large head, they might feel a little tight just below the temple.Like I said, they are very study and appear to be very well made. The microphone records extremely clearly and everyone I've spoken to says that I sound way better than I did with my previous headset. The range is okay, my house is fairly "wally" and as such after about 15 feet and two or three walls, it cuts out.I cannot emphasize, though, how comfortable they are to wear, and they make long gaming sessions a breeze.

This is the best wireless headset guys! I had a Logitech G35 but I find that unit bulky and uncomfortable though the sound quality is superb but what I need is a headset that I can walk around the house because the wire is very annoying. So when the soundblaster wow wireless headset came out last year I bought one right away. But the only thing good about it is only the wireless and nothing else plus the reception is very bad.Now this new logitech G930 I would say this is the best so far. This is how I rate it:1. Comfort - 6 stars out of 6. Very light I can wear this all day.2. Sound quality - 6 7.1 surround sound is really awesome.3. Signal range - 5.9 this works as advertised though but I just wish it could go further more so I can't say it is perfect.4. Design - 5.9 it does have a very light squeeky sound when you wear it but not too much unless you bang your head or rather I would say move too much.5. G controls - 6 this is what I really miss the most with the wow soundblaster I have to go back to my computer just to pause/play but with the G935 G controls are programmable. When I watch a movie it is easier to press the control to pause/play the movie/music when it is needed especially when you are not right next to your computer.I may have forgot some of the criteria but I hope this is enough. This is the very improved version of the G35 so do not hesitate buy. I never been excited to review a product but this one I just can't miss it. You may have a software problem at first but just reboot the PC 1 or more times then it will work fine which I had to reboot my pc twice before it worked fine which is wierd coz usually a program only asks to reboot once. I really love this product. Thank you Logitech! It is expensive but it is very worth it.

The Logitech wireless Headset G930 are very comfortable and the sound quality is very good. The battery charge doesn't last as long as advertised but still long enough for extended game play and you can still use them with the usb connected and charging. Best Headset I have owned so far!

The microphone picks up everything - which can be a distraction for others - but all of my gaming group have this headset now and we love it. It is not a small unit (size / weight) - so it might be a bit big for younger users. We average over 9 hours of charge on it (I have not charged it in two weeks and it still shows over eight hours of charge time. I live in an old house with very poor cell reception due to old wiring - I "game" in the basement and can wander all the way to the top floor (2 stories) and not lose connection.

The G930 headset is great except for one minor issue. The mic can be muted, but if you go out of range it automatically unmutes itself.When you hit the mute button the red mic light turns on. When you go out of range, the headset beeps and then comes back online.The red mute light goes off and you are automatically unmuted.

These headphones arrived nearly fully charged and sounded great. The surround sound worked great with both WoW and Fallout NV. The surround sound also worked great with VLC, you just have to go to the audio options on VLC and tell it to use 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. The range is also great.

The Dolby Digital does not work with Windows 7 64-bit and Logitech flat out told me their engineers are "working on an issue". I had to return the headphones, which is a shame because I actually liked the style.

I was not able to use my G930 -- very disapointed. Check google for issue regarding this product before you buy--wish I had done that first. Google list many same problems:I purchased the G930 yesterday and have been trying to install it on my Windows 7 64bit system. ive tried win7 and vista 64 bit installers and nothing worked. All the software will tell me is "please unplug and re-plug your logitech g930 headset".I am having the same problem. I have tryed everything. From what i can tell the drivers are not installing on my computer. I am useing Win7 64 bit, everytime i plug them in windows tryes to install the drivers and fails. I have installed the software from both the cd and from the updated software on the site, anyone have any more ideas???I had the same problems as listed above. Got error code 43 -- not proper driver -- reinstalled all software and downloaded new driver from Logitech site -- nothing worked.I shipped by unit back to Amazon.

I can't say how much I love this headset. It's wonderful to not have all of the extra wires laying about that my cats can chew on....The sound quality is great, and the voice morphing is a lot of fun to mess around with. There aren't many G-Keys, but I didn't really care about that. In all honesty, it's a headset. I didn't see the point in having it bogged down with a ton of g-keys. There are now 5 people in my gaming guild with this headset, or the wired version, and everyone sounds crystal clear over Ventrilo.All of that being said, there was an issue with my wireless internet and this headset. Every time I turned it on, my wireless would stop functioning. It was fixed by changing channels and messing with the settings of the router. Although....It is now causing problems with the wireless fence that we have for one of our dogs. I've had to stop using it because it randomly beeps or shocks her even when she is still well inside her containment area. Hopefully I can find a fix to this as well.All in all, set up is easy and it's a great headset if you want to be able to move through the house while still listening to music or talking to guildies over Ventrilo.

On the phone for Skype and on iTunes and Pandora when not on a call. It feels so good to cut the cord and it's easy with a headset that is comfortable and works reliably. I have no regrets.

I've had these headphones for about a month now. They've always connected flawlessly to any computer I plug the usb dongle into and the sound quality it great. It's a little funky using the microphone because with a closed earphone design, you can't hear yourself unless you enable microphone feedback. The problem with microphone feedback in this case is there is a significant delay (about 0.5 seconds) which gets annoying quickly. That being said, with microphone feedback turned off I got used to speaking in a normal voice volume even though I couldn't hear myself easily. I don't use the extra macro buttons too often, but having the volume roller control on the headphone is really nice. I also love the overall quality of the headphone. Lastly as I mentioned in the title, my ears get pretty hot after some hardcore gaming. I wish I could poke some holes in the ear cups to get some air flow.

Awesome headphones! I can't hear anything while I am using them. My wife hates them. 7.1 sounds awesome while playing single player games, however, when you are using any sort of VOIP, people sound funny.

i was really hoping for actual surround when i purchased the headphones, instead of simulated, however the sound is still quite convincing. just not enough for gaming as in knowing a person is either walking infront or behind you.the headphones are really durable, and if you somehow run low on battery which is very unlikely, it plugs in from the left headphone instead of the right one. not the best for long gaming sessions because the metal the headphones are made out of is so strong that it squeezes your head very tightly. like off your head there is 1 inch between each speaker. i dont know of any heads that are 1 inch wide, kinda silly. it makes my head pulse like if u tied a rope around your arm tightly.and the worst gripe is they have a feature called sidetone, which is designed to hear your own voice inside the speakers so that you dont get the "blocked ears affect" which is a great idea.... however when you use this feature you find out that the microphone is not earthed correctly and hear a slight buzzing noise in your headphones. THIS IS A MAJOR FAULT!! could be easily avoided with a simple patch to mute if not talking like most voice activated controllers like on teamspeak.overall i give it 3 out of 5. about time there was some surround sound cordless headphones, but the testing department needs the sack, if there was one.

The solution has generally been to change the USB port. Minor issue but for a luxury product like this???2) BASS BASS BASS - WTH? I mean there is almost no bass. I have tried mucking around as much as possible with the EQ but it doesn't deliver. IMHO, its good for gaming but not to listen to ur fave music. My Logitech Z5500 is the choice for that3) Feels kinda heavy and sometimes its uncomfortable after a while

I purchased the Logitech G930 for two purposes: 1) Gaming; 2) VOIP phone calls on my PC.1) As for gaming, the surround sound is amazing. I use it with Call of Duty, and I can hear where every footstep, gunshot, and explosion are coming from. I do however hear some occasional clipping (fuzz-type noise), but It is mostly curable through adjusting the sound on either the game or the headset... just need to mess around with it a little bit to find the best audio settings.2) For VOIP Calls on the PC, it works great. I'm just using my Google Voice/Talk from my browser, and the mic is very clear and crisp. Audio is great.The only other issue is the headrest on the top... The foam pad is not very wide, so the pressure of the headset resting on your head is focused in one area - I'd prefer it to be more flat/wide. But overall, this is a great headset, and (so far) worth the money.

You don't realize how luxurious having no wires is until you finally go wireless. The sound quality on these are awesome.They fit nicely. I wish they had been made of a softer cloth than the somewhat stiff leather, but if it says anything I've fallen asleep with these on multiple times.Being able to program the side buttons is absolutely awesome. No longer is it a "BRB" to get drinks, smoke etc. You can bring the conversation on Ventrilo with you and not miss anything.If you have been waiting for a good headset, go ahead and get this. You will not be disappointed. :)

I was tired of spending $15-25 for lower quality headsets and having them break only after a few weeks of use. I was a little hesitant at first to spend so much for a single headset, but I'm so glad I did. I love the surround sound and the voice change effects cause quite the laugh. This product was everything it stated and more. The best investment I could have made.

The reason this design kicks butt is... the recharge and wireless receiver adapter. Similar to a USB wireless device, it enables one to place the transceiver away from the computer on the ground to get it kick up a few feet allowing the range to drastically improve. The best part is that the cable length is built into it. With this I can hit the can in between SC2 games and not miss a beat, (or stall the next round if I need a couple extra seconds). Second best feature? The scrolling volume control on the headset - this is AWESOME. No more stupid clicking the side of your head trying to get the volume up or down, just scroll baby! It is pretty sweet.So what about the competition, there are a couple decently scored headsets out there. Well I searched and tried a number of other less expensive wireless headsets. They sucked. Seriously, they were horrible. They either had abysmal range, annoying 6in recharge cables, or painful wearing problems with ears or weight on the top of the head. This product fixes all these concerns.I paid close to $130 for this unit, this is probably the least expensive of the worth buying headsets. I haven't tried the more expensive ones, I read a number of those reviews and saw the price and figured most are expensive junk (the only thing better is cheap junk). Good luck, but I suggest getting this one.

I just got these today, and I am truly impressed. There is no wireless lag even with a wireless router sitting about 10 ft away from the transmitter. The sound quality is impeccable, solid and extremely robust build, insane comfort, there really is not much else to say.I just think the software is a little buggy/laggy, but otherwise a 5 star rating.

Length:: 1:30 MinsThe g930 is actually an awesome headset. The design is great, listening to music is crisp & clear, wireless is now a luxury I won't be able to live without, and these could very well be the best headphones I've ever had.However, there is a major problem plaguing this headset, and while it could most likely be fixed with a simple driver update, sadly logitech just doesn't seem to care...The deal breaker occurs when using the mic, there is a constant buzzing/interference sound. It doesn't matter if it is completely silent when I'm recording, the sound won't go away! Doesn't matter if I'm using the logitech drivers, or windows default drivers, laptop or desktop, doesn't matter if I'm on Win XP machine, or Vista...If you browse their support forums you will this is a rampant problem with everyone who owns the g930. And you'll also see that support is pretty much non-existent too. Such a shame, I would love them except for this one issue, and these headphones are now going back...

I have this headsets for over a month now, i can tell you they are great. I run on Win7 32 bits, and i don't have any problems whats so ever. There are a lot of great things like the sound, surround, range, battery life and so on...I want to tell you guys about the problems i've noticed there are small problems but all in all 5 out of 5 stars:- the driver needs a lot of work to start with the charging monitor - it does't tell you when the headsets are full when you are charging them...- a few noises in the joints that gives the impression of low durability, but i haven't had any problems what's so ever.- low versatility of the G keys, but i think this is a driver problemThat's about it. All in all a great headsets @ great price.Buy, play Have Fun!!!

I bought this set to use for gaming and Skype and they have exceeded my expectations. The people I talk to say the microphone works great, the sound is incredible and most importantly for me, it is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel like its squeezing your brains out like some headsets I have worn.

Ok heres the deal, this headset is unusable to me because of a feature that they added on it. The headset auto shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity coming through the headset. I am guessing they did this to prevent the battery from draining while in wireless mode, which makes sense. I dont understand though why, when the headset is plugged in, it still shuts off. You can be using your computer reading a document, and if you dont have any sounds coming out of the headset in that time they will shut off. So then when you go to do something with sound, you need to press and hold the power button on them for about 5-10 seconds. Sometimes that wont even work, and you need to unplug the cable from the headset and replug it in. I cant understand why they dont have options to adjust this in the software, but they dont.So unless you want to constantly be turning your headset back on, stay far away from this. Otherwise they work good, but not the most comfortable compared to the razer and steelseries I have had.

I bought the Creative Labs Sound Blaster World Of Warcraft Wireless Headset and used it for 3 months before they literally snapped in half. I didn't abuse them and when they broke, they broke from a perfectly normal motion of removing them from my head. Upon a Google search, I discovered HUNDREDS of other owner posts stating that their did the exact same thing. I couldn't replace them in warranty because Creative Labs requires a serial number, which is NOT printed anywhere on the headset itself but only on the box... which I had long thrown away.The Logitech G930 was my new replacement. There are many user reviews on this headset you can read. My review is simply going to consist of the following statement: For the same price...The Logitech G930 Headset is SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY to the Creative Labs WoW Wireless Headset, and is by far, the best wireless headset I've ever used.Thank You, and have a nice day.-WW_DaggerEDIT: As of 8-28-2011, I am no longer using these headphones. They signal is continuously dropping out and the software I have found has serious bugs with Windows 7 64-bit. These two things take make this a one star product for me. If your using 32 bit windows or XP, they still get at least a 4 star rating though.

i had read other reviews that said this headset had issues with cutting out, mic problems, and battery issues, but i dont know what those people are smokin but they need to quit!! this thing performs beautifully on both my laptop and desktop and the 7.1 sound they produce is nothing to scoff at i can hear perfectly when im playing crysis or battlefield if an enemy is coming up behind me.all in all its the absolute best 7.1 headset you can get for this amount of money in my opinion.

I couldn't get the software to install on my Win 7 64 system. I was told it was a corrupt file on my system and I went so far as a complete reinstall of everything and still couldn't get the software to install. It might be for the best though as many have reviewed this item with many Mic issues and so so performance.I returned the item and can't really give it a good or bad rating but wanted to relay my experience. I have given it a 3 rating for this reason. Logitech support as I have state in other reviews of Logitech products recently is:"Logitech tech support system is pretty good and they get back to you quickly but it always seems like they are grasping at straws and using the customer forum as their answer center."

Now I know why I like Logitech products so much! Although I do have a 5.1 speaker system, this headset provides ALL THE SOUND in some of my favorite games. Full, mind blowing, knock you out of your chair surround sound! Now I can hear ALL of the combat around me - and know WHERE the action is, just by the direction in the surround sound!The quality of the materials and construction are superb! I feel like the "priceyness" (although not really high, considering what you get) is more than justified. I feel that I got every penny's worth for my money. I have been a gamer for over 30 years, going back to the TRS 80, with 16k of memory, and this headset has upped my enjoyment of my games to another level!The headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods and the range is great. Gotta take a break from the action? No problem, you can still talk to your buds even if you go to another floor in the house!Bottom line: If you want GREAT 7.1 surround sound for your gaming, a fantastic listening experience for movies and/or music, GET THIS HEADSET! You won't regret it!

Well-made, comfortable headphones with great sound.The batteries last a good long time and you can evenuse it while they are recharging (plugged into a USBport).My gaming buddy complains of a very noticeable hissingsound when using the built-in microphone. Nothing I triedwould eliminate it. Checked in the Logitech forums andthis has apparently been an ongoing issue for months andhas not been resolved. Tried everything their techsupport recommended to no avail, so went back to using mydesktop Logitech microphone and leaving the POS mike tiltedup out of the way.

First, these is a seriously snazzy-looking headset. I love the styling. And it's pretty comfortable, with its memory foam headband.The sound is excellent, even with a couple of walls in between. Good sound isolation. Very good mic quality, although it's fixed on one side (left). On-headset volume control and programmable buttons, e.g. to let you control media playback on Media Player. Battery life is at least 7 hours.Note that to get surround sound you'll have to switch it on on the headset itself. The surround sound effect is definitely there. You can control volume for each channel and basic equalization (bass, treble) via the included software. Strangely, it does not save the mic gain setting; you'll have to keep setting it.It has a nice cable-thingy to wrap around and tidy it up, which also allows you to use it while it charges.There are some complaints about the range not being more than 40 feet. This seems unreasonable to me, unless you want much larger hardware or a shorter battery life. It's an engineering tradeoff. Speaking of which, I wish the dongle were smaller, but such is life. I also wish the buttons were more programmable.Overall, a pretty well-made headset.Unfortunately they are not PS3-compatible :(

I really wanted to get a good test of this microphone before I wrote a review on it.Unfortunetly, it's not up to my standards. At first the sound quality was great. Then, about 3 weeks in, it went from great, to poor.There is cracking every second while listening to music on some players, but on others its fine.My opinion, I've had the G35 and this one and I would definitely go with the G35. That was a great headset.

The 7.1 surround sound, which needs the included drivers and software, sounds great. Software can adjust volumes for each of the 7 sattellites, and the woofer. Software also has a great equalizer, and a voice morphing gimic. The headset itself charges very quickly through USB, and it lasts a long time: 30 minute charge = 6-8 hours. It looks very durable and the microphone goes up completely out of your way when not in use. It has only three configurable buttons and a volume and a mute, which I found was too limited. Here is the only major issue I have. It's very top heavy. Maybe it's because of all that 7.1 surround sound tech in that headset itself. When laying in bed and getting back up, you have to hold the headset so it doesn't fly off your head because of it's weight. In summary, it sound great, but adds the weight.

I've owned this headset for a little over a week now. This is the by far the best headset I've ever owned. It sounds great, people say they can hear me just fine and unlike some of the other posters that complained that people said they sounded funny. No one in either Vent or Teamspeak have said anything about it. They all say I sound like me. (Not sure if thats a good or bad thing tho) I did go into the microphone settings and adjust it slightly. The voice morphing is also fun to play with.I'm also able to move a pretty good distance away from the receiver, before it loses reception. Roughly 50 feet thats through walls, I'm sure if it was open space it probably would be greater.I would highly recommend these to anyone out there looking to get into the wireless headset scene. They are well worth the money, I'm probably going to have to buy another one because my wife wants a pair now.

This headset gets 2 stars only because of the fantastic surround effects. Noticeable difference in games using the Dolby mode. Everything surrounds you with strong positioning effects. Other wise these are poor all the way around.Good-+7.1 Surround is fantastic+Easy to use softwareBad--Wireless would go in and out and sometimes lose signal(don't know if these were a defective unit but Logitech could not solve the problem)-Uncomfortable, these have a vice grip on your head.-Poor over all sound-lousy bass-poor mic

I was slightly skeptical at the sound quality of this headset prior to my purchase, but now I can admit to simply being blown away by the fidelity and accuracy of this headset.No tweaking is needed to get perfect positional sound out of this guy. It takes a game with amazing sound to truly exhibit its capabilities (ie Bad Company 2), and it is quite stunning.Audio does not sound cramped or far away, but rather seems perfectly positioned - you feel as though you are in the midst of the action. Footsteps, gunshots, even falling shell cases can be pinpointed with incredible accuracy.The charging base isn't really a base for the headset, but rather a puck to coil the excess wiring and to connect the wireless receiver to. It has more than enough length to use the headset comfortably while plugging it in to charge.Pros:Very comfortable, even for extended periods of use.Sound is very clear, with beautiful, crisp highs and booming lowsSurround is perfect - no tweaking necessary!Very good isolation.Apparently ~9-10hrs of battery life (will update if it falls below/above that).Very low price for what you get.Cons:Not much is out for the G buttons at the moment (an SDK is available from Logitech) - limiting their use, as you cannot set specific keys or macros.

Purchased them for playing music only. I will not use a mic or making a calls on Skype or so on. I could not found anything that came close for the price and what can do. I walk around the house and went outside with them and they continue playing with out any problem. I like the 7.1 it sounds better then just 2 channels. Plus I can control the play, pause, Skip Forward, Skip Back right from the headset.So the bottom conclusion is.....I like those headset. It works like it said, Great sound, Good mic, Good range. (I got at 60 ft. Going true one wall before signal lost. And then to recover signal I had to get to about 30 ft.)But they are Not that comfortable like others said. I have a small head and wear glasses they don't feel that good. They are kind of heavy and every time I move my head they are moving a little and they produce a rubbing noise That I can hear. I try Boss over the ear and they were just perfect no noise but they are wired......Would I purchased them again? At this time the answer is Yes......

I read a lot of really good reviews on these headphones. Until I received mine and started looking through the logitech forums. There is a really bad echo that happens when i use my mic and it won't go away. There is some really bad static in the headphones when I turn on the surround sound. There are numerous people reporting these same problems and Logitech refuses to acknowledge the issue with even so much as a reply. Don't waste your money on these until Logitech decides to fix them. The same problems were had with the previous model and yet they release a new model and still haven't fixed the previous issue. I'm done buying Logitech at this point. Failure to support your equipment is a horrible way to do business.
