I got this for christmas and used it for a few weeks. Overall it works decent, sound is good. It has some problems, such as randomly cutting out. It seems like it is trying to re-sync when it cuts out.After about 2 week it stopped working and will no longer turn on, with or without the usb cord. Logitech support was worthless and ended up saying this is a hardware issue.UPDATED: I did eventually get a replacement from Logitech. I have not run into the power problem again, the only persistent issue I have with these is they will sometimes change channels a lot. 1-2 times a day at least the sound will cut out for 5 seconds while they pick a different channel.I have tried different locations for the reciever etc, but nothing seems to help. That is really my only major complaint with these.

This product was defective out of the box. Software tried to install then kept getting error messsage to disconnent and reconnent headset. This happened over and over and over again. My friends have this headset and have had no problems, so this must be a fluke.

I ordered this headset with the thought in my mind that it would make my soft voice a bit louder, and cut out the incredibly loud children in my house, making tons of background noise. well this didn't happen, and I am now the background noise.

Great headset.Although as I get older I am not as tech savy as I used to be, seems to have alot of features that you really have to dig in to figure out. But even as a Plug and Play set they work great.

These are a great pair of headphones but the build quality and lack of good drivers really kill the product. My first pair stopped charging on me, so I RMA'd them, which was generally painless except the long wait time to receive my replacement pair. The replacements have now begun to crack. It seems I am not the only one who has this issue, as google has plenty of people talking about it too. It is a shame, because when they work, they are pretty good.

I bought the Logitech G930 for three reasons, 7.1 audio, the wireless headset feature, and at $80, an unresistable price. The G930 works well with Windows and the 7.1 audio is fabulous in the one game I play regularly (America's Army). The real plus for me was that they do work in Linux with limited functionality. I use Fedora as my primary OS, and the G930 works fine in stereo (not 7.1), so long as it's plugged into the USB tether when the computer is turned on. After the machine is booted, you can unplug it and it will work just fine via the wireless. While the G930 sounds great for movie playback, it's not as musically accurate as the PC-350. They're a bit harsh musically, although rap and metal lovers will probably prefer the G930 because of the enhanced bass and treble in the EQ.The Sennheiser PC-350 is a great headphone setup that uses standard audio plugs to connect to computer cards (as opposed to USB). My audio card is built into a Gigabyte 890FXA motherboard and from an audiophile perspective, these are the most musical sounding consumer headphones I've used. One thing I've noticed about the PC-350 besides being very comfortable, is that I experience less aural fatigue than I do with the G930.Because I bought the G930 after the PC-350, I figured I would A-B them and then get rid of the ones I liked the least. I will probably keep them both for different reasons. Although the G930 is my primary headphone set (it's wireless, 7.1 sound), the PC-350 is far more accurate for serious musical listening, plus it has the old school audio plugs.

Very nice price for the quality you get and a lot cheaper than bose. The logictech mouse is gargage but this is good. The range on this headset is great, I can go downstairs to the kitchen, garage, and even outside, and still have the same quality of sound on both microphone, and speakers. The batter life is good, but I like that you have the ability to use the headset while it's plugged in, and the charging cable from the USB extension is long enough to comfortable accommodate being plugged in. I absolutely like my Logitech G930. It was a huge upgrade from the Logitech Clear Chat Style that I had before. The sound quality is a amazing, and the 7.1 surround is awesome. You can definitely hear the foot steps around you in your games.

People that can't get this working and blame it on the OS need to look at there hardware then (like there MB). Because I have tested this on Windows XP, 7 ultimate x86 and x64 and this headset works on all my systems even on a 90's laptop. Anyway about the headset itself.Fits great and does a great job of keeping out sound. I use mine when I mow my yard, all I hear is the music, but yeah it starts breaking up about 100ft away, but comes back as you get closer. I like the volume controls on the side and the switch for going from stereo 2.0 to virtual 7.1. Blu-Rays and music sound amazing on these things, but I have noticed in some games, if I have it in 7.1 mode I can't hear all the voices, but a quick flick of the switch on the side fixes all that. I recommend them to any gamer or anyone who only wants to hear what they want and hear it good. Love being able to have full surround nice and loud at night when everybody is asleep, the highs are crisp, mids clear and bass is very good for headphones.I just wish they were Bluetooth as well. Aside from that the only other gripe is that there is a tic or pop sound once in awhile, but its rare and I have went days/weeks without it happening, guess its just because its RF.

I have been using my new Logitech G930 for a couple of weeks now and would not trade it for any other!The G930 is the best headset (wireless or wired) that I have ever used.Nine to ten hour battery life and the battery can be easily replaced when it loses it's ability to hold a charge. Also it can be used when recharging, a BIG plus!It has a nice solid hefty feel when picked up, yet very comfortable on ears and head. I wear them 10+ hours a day.Sound? Absolutely fantastic! great bass, 7.1 that works and a great mic.All in all a great headset even at twice the price.

The G930's are about the best you can get when it comes to PC gaming headsets. Not only are they wireless, but they sound great too. Highs are high, and the lows are full and tight. The 7.1 surround is true to the name. This headset takes full advantage of all Dolby TrueHD audio channels and doesn't miss a beat, even in the most audibly cluttered movie scenes. I could not be more please with their performance. I'm using this headset in an office building, completely saturated with 2.4Ghz wifi signals. I could easily travel 40 - 50 ft away from the receiver (through about 4 - 6 walls) before I lost my signal, without any artifacts or distortion. In a household setting, your range will vary because of different wall materials, as well as insulation; but you should still be able to receive signal within a range of 30 to 40 feet. I didn't really use the voice modulation that much (except to prank my boss into thinking the VOIP systems were malfunctioning), so I can't really comment on their effectiveness or clarity, but they seem to be ok. Only problem I had was with the macro buttons not being able to be fully customized. Due to it's relatively new nature, it seems that Logitech has limited the number of usable features incorporated into the macro sets. Regardless, I would recommend this headset to anybody who wants a truly exceptional sounding set of headphones. On a side not: Worked well at work for about 12 hours on a Friday, then I left them sit for the weekend. Came back into work on Monday and they barely worked. Audio was going in and out, and eventually they stopped pairing to the usb wireless key(included in the package) altogether. I knew external foul play was not an excuse because I have a locked office, so I suspected a driver issue. After reinstalling the drivers a few times, no dice. Tried them on two other computers in the office, still no dice. Contacted Amazon, they had a replacement in the mail within a half an hour. I'm sure that it was just a defective piece. Eagerly awaiting the next headset's arrival tomorrow.Even with the hardware failure issue, I would still recommend this headset to anyone. A products reputation should not be tarnished just because there was a defect or two in the bunch.

I've gone through two of these headsets now, and both have broken in the same manner. A small, plastic plate is screwed over the base of the left earpiece. It holds the "joint" of the earpiece to the frame that goes on your head. This plate is easily broken just from sitting the headphones on your desk. The plate cracks and snaps off the screws, leaving the joint open to fall out, making the headset practically useless. I've rigged mine with tape, but it is unreliable.I won't be buying another one.

Battery lasts me 8-10 hours.The surround sound is awesome. The setup application is easy to use. (I'm using windows 7 by the way... Windows XP was kind of a pain to configure this headset).I came from a medusa surround sound wired headset. This doesn't sound quite as good, but I bought it for the wireless aspect, and for that, it is a clear winner.Only CON, it doesn't work with my PS3 (and if any of you know how to get it to work with PS3, PLEASE let me know in the comments section).HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

These are the first headphones that I have ever spent a little money on, I am very happy that I did. The range is excellent if I am listening to tunes in my home, the clarity is great. There is absolutely nothing that I could say bad about them. They arrived very quickly and setup was a breeze.I am one happy customer.

If I were after sound quality I normally wouldn't even glance in the direction of Logitec brand products. It seems the options for a wireless headset of any quality are kind of difficult to come by. Givin how easy Amazon is to deal with concerning returns, I figured I would give these a try. My expectation really werent all that high but I was willing to sacrifice some quality for a wireless headset and my research led me to beleive these were worth a try because if nothing else, the wireless headset didnt have too many issues.Much to my surprise I love almost everything about them. Being used to brands such as Sennheiser, i was astounded by the sound quality these produce. Set the EQ where you like it and the sound quality really is enjoyable. Maybe not audiophile level, but everything was acceptable to me. Setup was super easy. In a couple minutes everything was set up and working on my 64bit WIn 7 machine. All my fellow gamers and people I call on the phone mentioned how much my sound was improved with the new mic.The construction feels pretty solid and not cheap at all. The design is good and unlike my last mic, the ear cups fit over my large head and completely cover the ear.Being surprised by the basics, i was astounded again with the other cool features. The surround sound works perfectly and sounds great with the few application and movies I tested it with. The three programmable buttons on the side of the headphone is surprisingly useful. I set them up to control itunes and being able to shuffle, browse, start/stop my music without so much as minimizing the program im working with is awesome!At the $150 price point, I think these are a steal. Also its not uncommon for there to be a rebate at any given time. Highly recommended for multimedia users.

I have had several headsets, most of them were cheap. But I have had really nice headphones. These are great, I had no issue what so ever with it installing and working on my windows 7 64 bit edition. Just followed instructions, and boom done. The surround sound I use with what ever I want, mostly movies, games. It sounds good and realistic. It even has decent bass. The range reaches everywhere in my house(2 story 4room 2 bath). The only place it cuts out is if I walk far out onto my driveway(which is really far) or if the microwave is going upstairs and I am standing next to it. I love the g keys, I set up Itunes with it, so I can play/pause, fast forward, or go back. A great deal for 100bucks. Good sounding mic, no issues. The voice change is ok, which it was more customizable(probably can download mods), but who really ever uses it anyways? anyways overall good buy no issues.Note: I also installed the software on my windows xp netbook. It worked just fine, no issues. All I have to do to use them on my netbook it pull out the receiver from the desk top and plug it into the usb on my net book, turn on the headphones, and I am good to go.

I bought this headset because I've always loved Logitech products (their mice and keyboards are amazing) but sadly this was little more than a waste of time and money. The audio was heavily warped/distorted and upon searching I found no shortage of other people who had experienced this problem. Many were able to resolve it and I tried every method I could find that others had found successful (including shelling out even more money for a powered USB adapter) but none of them worked. I tried it on both of my computers (a Dell desktop and an Alienware laptop) and in different OS's (both are dual-boot Ubuntu/Win7). In any event one should not need to devote hours to get a headset working.I will continue to buy Logitech's mice and keyboards but never again will I waste my time on any of their audio products.

The product provides great surround sound and microphone capability. It has a nice control panel that allows you to change your voice, check the charge of the headset, etc. . It is a comfortable headset but I did notice after several hours of wearing it that it irritated my ear just a little, but I think I have adjusted that to fix the issue (that is the only reason I give it four stars instead of 5, since I want to make sure it can last hours an remain totally comfortable). I know another user who has worn it for 8 hours of play without any discomfort which is great, I just have not had time to play anything even close to that long for one sitting.

I purchased these headphones in the fall of 2010 and they worked absolutely flawlessly for about the first 6 months, then they started shutting off unexpectedly and eventually could not hold a charge so I replaced the battery, updated to the latest drivers (aug.2011) and they're still not working properly. Maybe I dropped them at some point--not sure what went wrong. I'm using these with windows vista.** update Nov. 2012 **I purchased another pair from a large very well known electronics retailer when they were selling it at a significantly reduced price. When the kid at the checkout counter asked if I wanted to purchase the full warranty (as they always do) I actually said "yes" for a change. The final cost, including the warranty, came out to what you would pay for it online here. The warranty came in handy when I was using the headset one day and part of the plastic unexpectedly broke WHILE I was wearing it for no particular reason?! Anyway, this is clearly one of those products that has some issues... but when it is working, it works beautifully. I haven't had any problems with it in months so at the moment I'm happy with the product. We'll see what the future holds. I am also occasionally using the Sennheiser PC360s, but I love the "wirelessness" of the Logitech G930.

I bought this unit so I could do videogame commentary for my walkthroughs that I do on YouTube and I've noticed that when I first bought this unit I was actually having problems as I have seen from others of keeping the headset from staying on the entire time and not having it shut off during commentary.I did go on the Logitech website and it looks like their forums are a lot more of users trying to help each other out with third party plugin and scripts than actual help from Logitech which is a bit disconcerting... other than that I quickly found out that the reason for the auto-shutoff is if the headset detects noise or feedback from the computer. That being said, I found a quick workaround for it by just switching over the audio and microphone settings to the headset when doing my commentary and since then I have yet to encounter the auto-shutoff coming on.I sit roughly 15-20 feet away from the receiver which I have pointed at my couch and I have a lot of tech sitting on my desk so I guess you could say there would be a bit of radio interference and this unit has worked flawlessly ever since. I haven't really had any use for the voice morphing software since I'm basically just recording live commentary to be edited into the gameplay, so I can't really comment on that-- if you're not concerned about price and you're looking for a quality headset, this would definitely be for you.

Many reviews from professional review sources cite noise cancellation in the microphone, and so does the box, but a simple search or simply buying this set reveals otherwise. Search something along the lines of "g930 noise cancellation problem".While the audio quality of music etc. is definitely high, that is only 50% of why someone buys a headset. Without the noise cancellation working, the incredibly sensitive microphone picks up every possible sound in your zip code and leaves your mic open constantly and buzzing. Lowering the microphone volume drasticly (anything short of muting it) does not affect this at all. Lowering mic sensitivity in any voice chat program does indeed stop this, but you have to practically yell for it to pick up your voice and will cut out immediately if your screaming falters to a standard humane level of speaking. This of course is if you are using voice activated speech. If you use a push to talk key, your mic will of course not remain open, but when you hit your PTT key, friends will hear your voice along with every mouse click, breath, and dogs barking 2 blocks over inside a neighbor's house.To top off the strangeness, the useless "voice morphing" feature with the headset software (you know, when you for some reason would like to sound like an unintelligible robot or alien) actually ACTIVATES this previously m.i.a. noise cancellation. With this headset you have two choices: Either sound like yourself, albeit screaming to your friends so the mic works, or sound like a staticy orc with excellent noise cancellation.Here is a link to the thread on the official Logitech forums detailing the problem that has existed for 4 months.[...]I would strongly advice not buying this headset until you notice on this thread that the issue has been resolved, because otherwise you're just getting a shiny expensive headset with microphone quality lower than that of a generic brand.

I just purchased another headset after having this headset for about 2 months. I had driver glitches, I got tired of waiting for the fixes.Issues encountered: Sound only working on one side, not a confortable headset, full driver not loading, sound coming out fairly flat.Pros: The wireless worked as advertized.

I've done some research on similar headphones and it is clear that these type of headphones are well beyond Logitech's capability to manufacture properly.The headphones won't connect with the receiver. Logitech said they would send us a new chip, but it's been more than a week and we haven't received anything yet.They twice claimed to have sent me a replacement but nothing has ever showed and now Amazon says they won't let me return it. I did not realize that Logitech wassuch a scum bag comapany. I will never another on of their products.

This microphone was well-built, but was not made to last on the technical side at least. I had to send in mine to get replaced for free by Logitech. Logitech does have good technical support so that was an upside. The wireless feature is very useful and works. The sound quality and compatibility of this microphone are excellent. I used it on both mac and windows and it worked superbly on both. My only major gripe besides the technical difficulties is that even with these adjusted they clamp down tight on my head which makes them uncomfortable for long periods of use.Ultimately, I would rate this microphone as follows:Build Quality 3/5Compatibility 5/5Support 5/5Function 4/5Comfort 2/5

I can't say I've tested every feature of this headset.I haven't been playing games with surround sound elements, or really tried to compare audio quality.Its got a good strong feel, I know in the pictures it looks plastic. The headset has plastic over a metal frame. The headset feels substantial. It is not light, but nor is it heavy enough to be a hindrance.I have used it for voice chat extensively. What I can tell you is that for this purpose its great. The wireless has some of the best range I've ever seen. The quality of my voice, and that of others is spot on. The charge lasts a good long while. The recharge cable is ample in length and the headset CAN be re-charged while being used.

within 3 months of purchase both ear cups have fallen off. Virtually unusable now. Had the exact same problem with the wired version of this headset. Silly me for thinking they fixed. Last Logitech I buy.

The sound equality is a 10/10, it's nice that it charges and you can use it while at charging, but I just charge it over night cuz the whole purpose of me buying this was for a wireless headphone. This headset is just as I expected, but if I HAD to improve this I would say- no auto turn off (this is prob. one of the most thing people hate about this headphone, when theres no audio playing on your PC for about 5-10 minutes it automatic turn off, you might think that is cool and save battery, but it's extemely annoying to have to keep taking off the headphone and turn it back on, the turn on button in pushed in the headset and it will take about 3 seconds of hold to turn it back on and you can't really do it while the headphone is over your head)- longer battery (you get about 9-10 hours of headphone use which is really not bad)- smaller size (the headset is big, bigger than I expected, it's about 2 inches wide on the part that goes over your ears)- smaller USB plug for laptop (I use a laptop and the piece is about an inch and a half long, which isn't a big deal with PC, but for laptop it's about annoying)Ok thats about it for me, I was being really picky about it, these things aren't big deal, overall I'm pleased with it.

I've always been hesitant about getting a wireless headset, but after accidentally yanking the wires out of the splice on two consecutive pairs of Creative Labs HS-980 Fatal1ty Professional Series MKII Gaming Headset (Black) I decided it was time to try wireless.The result has been fantastic.Not only do they sound as good if not better than my previous sets, but they have 7.1 surround instead of 5.1. They sound amazing.The wireless range is outstanding, I can go anywhere in my house and still have absolutely pristine reception.The volume wheel is great, especially when using the set to listen to music or have a conversation via Voip from another room away from the computer. It feels smooth and accessible.The programmable G-keys are fantastic, My personal usage is to bind one to next track, one to play/pause, and one bound to toggle mouse 5 (my push to talk button). The only downfall is that it apparently isn't possible to have it transmit while you hold the button down and stop when you release, in order to do push-to-talk from what I can see you have to do a toggle. (ie push it once you are transmitting, push again you stop). But still, the 3 G-keys and volume wheel let me use Voip and listen to music from away from my computer.The battery life seems great so far and the meter in the program seems accurate. I haven't gotten to put it to a full test yet, but I fully expect that it at least comes close to the 9-10 hours it claims. And when you need to charge, all it takes is plugging it in to the docking station or any usb to mini usb cable, and you don't even have to stop using them! So the only inconvenience charging poses is that you have to use it like a normal headset while it charges.It rests comfortably and doesn't hurt my ears even after hours of use.I would recommend this to anyone who is considering a wireless set. Especially if you're like me and you've destroyed one too many wired sets.

I could not be happier with this great headset. Sturdy build with good quality sound. Very comfortable for long term use. Only draw back is that it's a little on the heavy side, but still the most comfortable over the ear headset I've used. Highly recommend.

This headset is by far the best I've ever had! Great sound, easy setup! I have really tried to find fault, but the only thing I would say is that they can break easy, but that's the case with a lot of tech gear. Also, the software is way over simplified, but that will be a plus for some. Now, to respond to peoples complaints regarding the noise cancellation of the mic; just go into the software and remove the check from the "voice preview" setting. It's set on by default. Also turn the sidetone setting down as this can contribute to the problem. I can see why so many users are complaining, but come on...This took me the better part of 30 seconds to figure out after hearing the ambiance in my room while tweaking the software settings.Being in the I.T. field for 10 years I've seen many crazy complaints, and most of them are user error. I know that will make a lot of you mad, but it is what it is. I feel most of the negatives listed on this site are in fact user error, with the exception of a few truly defective units, which is another thing you cannot avoid 100%, it just happens (to me many times). Out of 100 you may find 3 that are defective no matter what the item. If you're having issues, and cannot find resolution, ask your kid to help you set them up.Anyway, these are great headphones, and a welcome addition to my new gaming machine I just built!

I ordered this item via a 3rd party amazon retailer "B&H Photo" and I've had it for about a week now. The sound quality is nice except for the fact that it randomly disconnects every 10-15 minutes regardless of which USB port I plug the dongle into. I have a wireless router about 8 feet away from the dongle with a wall and 4 layers of wood between them. I figured it was wireless interference but I've tried moving the dongle as far away from the router as I can but I cannot get this thing to stop randomly disconnecting.I expected a lot more from a pair of $170 headphones.Update: I changed the wireless channel of my router from 6 to 11 and it seems to have fixed the issue so far. Considering how many people have wireless routers and how many of them would know how to do this, I think this was a big oversight by Logitech.

I have been completely amazed with the sound quality of these headphones. It's definitely taken my music listening to a new level with 7.1 surround sound. I've played multiple new tracks from iTunes and the sound is incredibly clear and it's a joy to hear the tracks like they were meant to be heard without interference of sounds around the home or the acoustics of my office and family room altering the sound. I would be curious to know from Logitech exactly how many speakers are in the headphones and would love to see an "inside" picture on this products web page.As long as some volume of music is being played through these wireless headphones they are noise isolating and it's helps me to concentrate on whatever I'm doing.I'm currently using these for skype, music listening, and for listening to audiobooks while I move around the house. I have had no trouble with sound quality despite being at the other end of the house. There are also some interesting voice effects, none of which I cared for but gamers would probably enjoy them. I also like how they instantly mute my end of the conversation by simply flipping the mic up.The headphones are very well built although the comfort level could use some improvement. They also feel awfully heavy on. If your headphones run out of battery power, they can be charged while in use, and the cord is VERY long at around 6 feet. It also has a nice touch - the charging cord has a USB plug about 1/2 way down the cord so it doesn't displace anything currently plugged into your computer. The plug that charges the headphones is also very standard. It's the same one that charges my bluetooth, cell phone, and Western Digital My Passport drive.Gamers, music listeners, skype users, and audiobook listeners will probably enjoy these headphones as much as me, but at this price, they would have to serve more than one purpose. I wouldn't buy these to do just one of those things.Also, these worked just perfect for me on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I was looking for a wireless headset that I primarily would use for gaming, but also music and movies after hours. After using G930 for two days, I ended up returning them and opting for a wired Sennheiser PC360 headset. The primary turnoff with the G930 was constant choppy sound while playing games. At random intervals, the sound would cut off for a few seconds. I made sure I was running the latest software from Logitech. I tried several suggestions from forums to help the sound quality, such as disabling on-board sound cards, making sure the battery was fully charged, moving the receiver away from other wireless transmitters, and plugging the receiver directly into the motherboard's USB. I disabled my WiFi and have nothing else in my house using the 2.4GHz frequency and that did not help. The choppy sound occurred in several games and while playing music.On a positive note, the price was right at $120 and they felt solidly constructed and were comfortable. The ear cups do a good job of isolating outside noise. The mute and volume control built into the left ear cup was a nice addition. The mic seemed to work well and others said I sounded good.

I bought this headset around 3 months ago for my birthday and it was awesome. Clear when listening to music and gaming and love the bass on the headset. I liked everything about the headset except for a couple of things. The USB is really fragile , the headset falls off my head when looking down, and the mic doesnt stay up anymore after 2 months after purchase. Other than that, the headset is amazing.

This is an awesome headset, works as described.I would advise to pick up a ac to usb charger tho, i foundcharging from your pc does get bothersome. I usethe apple ipad charger to charge when i'm not usingcause i do't leave the pc on when i'm away.i would like to logictech develop this headset intoa karaoke type headset with a flash chip to upload tunes andhave the mic useable in singing with songs soyou to hear yourself in with the song.

Pros:Great sound quality and incredible bass ! And when I say bass trust me, bass is there.It can be slightly muddy in very rare occasions but only compared to a really tight real subwoofer.Great in game sound both from microphone and headphones. Crystal Clear ! Surround option is very nice for horror / thriller games or intense coops (ie. Left 4 Dead / Gears Of War )Also you can turn of surround sound just with flick of switch on headphones if you dont like the effect in that particular game or movie.If movie or game supports dolby or dts t, you hit the jack pot. A surround that nearly matches my analog 7.1 speakers comes out of these headphones.Great interface both by software and hardware.Software uses very little ram whilist giving you lots of features like adjusting dolby surround effect of particular positions or creating g-key or voice morphing profiles.Very simple hardware interface."Big fat" and "easy to find with your left" volume slider.Above that the g-keys and just at the back of your hand dolby swith and on / off switch.Really great wireless base with extension/charge cable that gives the freedom of wireless even if you are out of battery which takes more than 8 hours with hardcore using.Great isolation.You hear very little of outside and thats good because you can still hear very lightly if your phone or door ring although it may be hard to hear while in a gunfight.Nonetheless great isolation !Very good range even through walls.Cons:Maybe feel like little tight at first and takes time to adjust but after that you feel good.Logitech should offer ready to download g-key profiles for games and apps like they did with their gamepads, keyboards and mouse.Logitech also should rearrange their forums for people to gather and talk about their products more easyly.There is no established community because of this.OverallDefinitely Recommended for :you to buy for yourself or as a gift.

I'm real happy i spent so much on these headphones. Despite their high price, they are VERY well built. My pitbull got a hold of them while i was out of the house and they stood up to the abuse that the dog layed on them. The sound quality is better then any headset i've had to date. With surround sound input these headphones are perfect. In addition the software that logitech put out for these is very easy to use, with a lot of great features.

Hello,I opted for an upgrade last month for my gaming headset and I heard some good things about sound quality regarding this product. The price is expensive yet acceptable if you truly wanted to treat yourself to a great gaming experience. What really sold me on these is that they were wireless and 7.1.When I got the headset, I immediately installed it and started to test it out with its multitude of options. The sound is INCREDIBLE and if this was ALL you need, this was a great buy.However, this headset is also a microphone and that is where the deal breaker starts.The microphone has NO mic cancellation!I wasted 2 hours wondering why I could hear my mouse clicks and who I could hear my fiancee coughing in the other room through my headset. This thing picked EVERYTHING UP!I went to their website and found a 15 page long page regarding this issue and watching it unfold over the months.Logitech knows about the problems of this headset and it's been ongoing for 6 months!(check google for g930 noise cancellation problem)Their claim? Will be fixed the next patch but have no ETA and they have no replied to the thread since the new year.How can in this day and age can you not have a functional microphone?For this price? Unacceptable.Returned and refunded.Buyer beware!!!Jason

This headset, the G930 wireless, is by far the most frustrating piece of computer equipment that I've ever used. Installation is a breeze (don't plug it in before you finish installing the software), but after that, it begins getting tedious. I've tried this on two computers, both with Windows 7 Home Premium. On each computer, it most often required a reboot after turning on the headset to get it to work. It doesn't seem to like having Skype open when I want to use it for Ventrilo, and it doesn't want to do much of anything with iTunes open. Perhaps the most frustrating part is, if no sound comes through it after about 10 minutes, it apparently goes into a power-saving mode and turns off. This is VERY problematic when talking to someone after a long lull on ventrilo. I don't understand why it would do this, and there's no note anywhere in the documentation that comes with it about this.The saving grace of this headset is that, unlike the Creative SoundBlaster wireless World of Warcraft headset, this is built sturdy and is VERY comfortable on the head. The noise canceling is very good, the 7.1 simulated speakers sound great.I'm weighing in my head whether it's worth the hassle of putting up with the first paragraph's problems for the benefits of the second, or whether I'd just be better off returning it. Hopefully, Logitech will be able to fix these problems. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it and hold out hope that they will.EDIT: See comment section for a few points I've mellowed on in the time since I bought it. Added two stars because of it.

I would really love to love this headset. Its battery actually lasts longer than you can comfortably wear it for, which is impressive since the headset is one of the most comfortable I've worn. It does a great job damping outside noise without completely isolating you. It has great features. In every respect -- on a hardware level -- this headset delivers.Unfortunately, the software that makes the surround sound, voice morphing, etc. work has some kind of horrible memory leak. During the five hours that I used the headset today, World of Warcraft crashed three times due to running out of memory. I could tell that the crashes were coming because my friends would start to experience "tag" speech from me -- I'd say things over the course of a few minutes and nobody would hear anything until suddenly everything reached them at once. I wasn't entirely sure that the headset was the problem until I finally got to where it was hurting around the ears. I decided to switch back to my trusty old boom mic, which also meant changing WoW to use the sound card again. The only problem was that the sound card wasn't available and Windows informed me that this was because there wasn't enough memory to run it. I'd have to shut down something else. Rebooting the computer brought my sound card back. I left the headset turned off and played another five hours without a single issue.The bottom line is that if you only play for an hour or two at a time and reboot your computer daily you should be quite pleased with this headset. If you plan to use it for longer, expect to run into problems until such time as Logitech fixes the software issue.

I upgraded from the corded ones and have never looked back! love having the freedom to go where I want without having to worry about the cord, the distance is amazing even through walls walked across my house and even with doors shut and walls between me and the computer it was clear as day reception.

I am a huge gamer and I use this for Call of duty 4, Call of duty Black Ops, and Call of Duty MW3 they all support 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound! The bass will melt your brain and the Microphone is awesome very sensitive. One thing they leave out is the microphone is actually adjustable closer to your mouth or farther away. The voice changer is a nice touch also! Would recommend this to a friend without hesitation!

This is one big let down from Logitech. Crackling sound won't go away. I plugged the dongle without the USB hub but no luck. I disabled some functions in the bios but the crackling is driving me crazy. I can't even watch a movie or play a game. Pros- wireless is always a plus, long battery life, overall good sound crazy bass, nice surround sound. Nice construction, built to last as long as you take care of them.Cons- software not that great. If you run 64bit be prepared to have problems seems to run ok with 32bit. You will hear static/popping from time to time not a huge problem but shouldn't be there at all.Overall good product I just wish they would update their software and tweak out some of the bugs

Im a Virtual DJ with an online presence and let me tell you that after multiple hour sets with other headsets my ears , face and often the top of my scalp often hurt. Iv'e tried multiple sets and each of them had there pros and cons ofcourse. However , After deciding to take the plunge into wireless and drop some cash into a new headset I set my sights on the G930. I can tell you that I will never turn away from it. It hosts a range of options and benefits including increased comfort , range and settings to maximize your experience and requirements. The battery life is spot on and every bit of 10 Hours , plus the ability to talk while charging and a quick charge is a bonus.They are larger than most but because the ear peices fit over the ears and rest around them you feel no discomfort and it maximizes the surround sound feature.All I can truly say is .. If you dont atleast consider these as an option your not doing yourself any favors nor are you including what is certainly on of the top quality headsets available.
