The headset itself, when it is working, is actually really good. The problem is that the drivers have a conflict with USB 3 motherboards, which is a lot of motherboards and logitech doesn't seem to be able to fix it. That or they just don't care!Sometimes you turn your computer on and the headset wireless dongle picks up and all is mostly well. I'll explain the mostly well in a moment. Other times you turn on your computer and the wireless connector isn't recognised. I have found that plugging the dongle into other ports and restarting the computer sometimes has the system suddenly recognise the headset again and you can use it - mostly... Other times I have just had to re-install the software to get the system to recognise the USB wireless dongle...When the headset is usable it sounds great and works a charm while it's working. But it has a tendency to simply drop out and turn itself off (some people on the Logitech forums are complaining that there is a time-out that activates but I can't confirm that that is a problem with the Headphones turning off.) So in the middle of a game suddenly your headset isn't working... after a lot of messing around and reading forums I found that an older set of drivers is better, but not 100%.In general - Don't buy this headset if you have USB 3 on your motherboard as the fix logitech suggests doesn't always work - (moving the usb port as far away as you can from the USB 3 port didn't help me.)Don't buy this Headset if you have other wireless devices in the 2.4mhz range... My phones are in the 5 mhz range and are ok but is seems that my wireless modem might be the reason the wireless dongle just drops out so often. Also if you have a motherboard that uses Realtek audio then that MIGHT be part of the conflict as I have noticed a lot of people on the forums that are having problems are using realtek onboard audio... I'm going to try a sound card so I can get away from the onboard audio and see if that helps. While it's a great quality headset when it's working the problems are so annoying i wish i'd never brought it.

Before purchasing these from Amazon I did a lot of looking around and I tested a lot of headsets (mainly because I've never owned a really nice headset before) from stores and read a lot of reviews. I ended up coming to the conclusion of buying these firstly because I have always been a huge fan of Logitech's work. I own a Logitech wireless surround sound, a G15 keyboard, a G-Series mouse, and various other Logitech products, and not once have they done me wrong. The comfort factor of these head phones amazed me, they are nice and snug and really soft, they adjust very easily and they are a lot lighter than I expected. The construction thus far seems to be very sturdy, I have yet to have any issues in that department. The 7.1 surround sound feature on this headset is so much better than I expected, I can actually hear more sounds and noises in games and movies than I ever could on my actual 5.1 surround sound, and after playing with the advanced equalizer for a while I now have it dialed in perfectly.I haven't changed the G-buttons much yet because I like to listen to music while I game ad have control over it easier, and since I have the G15 keyboard which has 18 macro buttons on it I really don't need to fiddle with them much. Never-the-less they work perfect so far. The volume control roller is perfect located for easy quick volume changes. Now onto my absolute favorite feature of this headset...the Microphone. This thing is 100% perfect for what I use this headset for, gaming at night with my wife asleep in the the same room as my computer. Now before the G930 I avoided Skype and teamspeak and vent at night because I always woke my wife up because I had to talk so loud for people to hear me. During the day I have the Mic gain turned down to about 40-50% for normal talking while gaming, at night I can turn this bad boy up to 100% and I can practically whisper and everyone hears me perfectly. I was absolutely flabbergasted that I could talk so quiet and be heard without someone having to say "Sorry what was that? I couldn't hear you." And this is with a group of 5-10 people on Skype so there is always more than 1 person talking at a time. One last note would be that I don't have to switch over to my speakers when I don't want to wear the headset, I can simply lay these down on the desk in front of me while charging and turn the volume up, they get ridiculously loud.I would highly recommend this product to any avid gamer.

Summary, this headset is great. Great sound, great mic, comfortable right out of the box, surround sound still amazes me! Would definitely refer them to a friend, as they were referred to me by a friend.Pros:- Wireless. Great range, I can hear people clearly and they can hear me. Good range, I can hit the fridge (20ft) with no change in quality.- Battery. Charges in about 2 hours to get 8-10 hours use on 7.1 surround. Only had them for a couple of weeks, so can't comment on lifetime.- Sound is great. I started to play with the equalizer a bit, but decided to just leave it off.- They are medium weight, I would say. After a few hours of use, I do start to feel them a bit, but nothing an adjustment doesn't fix. No head squeezing our headaches that I have had with other headsets.- G keys - Nice feature, but I don't currently use them. May be good for listening to music, next and previous song, pause and play, etc.- Surround works great.- Build quality - very well built, they don't feel cheap like they will break.- Mic - Very crisp and clear, others noticed a big change for the better the day I got them.- Voice changer - Neat little ability built into the software, can be fun to play with.- Noise cancellation - not like the Bose set I have for air travel, but very good to the point that it could be a con! I had music playing on a fairly low volume and the wife had a whole conversation with herself when I first got them. When she realized I hadn't heard her, she tapped me on the shoulder and I hadn't even realized she was talking. We had a laugh about it...but I don't think she was thrilled!Cons:- Sound - depending on what you are looking for, it can take some troubleshooting to get everything just right. I stick with the default, so it wasn't really an issue for me.- Weight - This can be an issue after several hours of use, but as stated above, a little adjusting and it is comfortable again for a while. This was an upgrade from a $20 set of on ear Logitech headset and mic. The difference was huge. Highly recommend to anyone.Amazon had the item to me quickly, safely, and I was happy!

This is the best headset I've ever head. But considering I've only ever had worthless Turtle beaches..we can see why. I can say this is probably one of the best, little more "intense gamer" headset for a pretty low price. And also comes with a few more features other than just sound, like some competing products.PROS: Great sound, basically noise canceling. Amazing comfort. After a few uses the headset will mold to your head and fit perfectly Steel frame. So you know its not going to just break when you stretch it to put it on your head. Especially nice for people with big heads. The mic has great quality, and does a great job of picking up just your voice instead of other noises in the room. I'm not saying it's going to cancel out blasting music, but little things it will. Easy to change settings. Just install their software, and you can change anything from the volume of the mic, to the how you sound. I mean you can sound like a robot, zombie, a man with a deep voice, or a little girl. Really fun to play with and confuse friends. Not really sure if this is a pro or con, for being a wireless head set I'd look at it as a pro but, the head set will last about 2 and a half to 3 hours on battery. And takes about 2 hours to fully charge. The software you install will tell you how much longer till fully charged, and how much longer the battery will last. And if you're not paying attention it will beep at you. And not just a minute before it's about to die. It'll beep at you about 10-15 min before, so you have time to plug it in.CONS: The dongle to plug in your computer is a bit flimsy and poorly made. I've had to tape mine because its about to break. Not very convenient if you're using a laptop. The programmable G keys are not very programmable. I can open iTunes...and change a song, but that's about it. It's a little big when you have it on, and makes you look kind of funny.I love the product and have no regrets buying it. I strongly recommend it to people who are gaming because the surround sound is beautiful and the mic works fantastic. I use it for when I'm playing my MMO's to talk to people.

I bought this a few months ago, and I just now threw mine in the trash. When it worked, it was like a dream, which is the only reason I don't give it one star, but problems were many, and ever increasing, until they culminated in an unusable product. First, this did not work well out of the box, after installation of drivers from the enclosed CD, it worked somewhat, and had a nice control interface, where you could adjust aspects of your sound to your hearts content, and save profiles to switch between. The headset still didn't work well with many modern programs under Windows 7. Some research online yielded the recommendation that a new software package be downloaded and installed for this headset, which I managed to do after some work. Afterwards, it worked a bit better, but there was no longer the nice interface where you could adjust different settings, or at least I couldn't easily find it, and had lost interest in spending too much time digging into how to fine tune this headset. As many reviewers have stated, this headset would frequently just put itself on standby when I didn't want it to, most commonly when there was a lull in sound, but sometimes, and increasingly, just whenever it seemed to randomly feel like it. In the end, it had gotten to the point where it would just be a war between the headset and me pushing the button to get it out of standby a second later, at which point this headset went in the trash. I now use a comparatively much cheaper headset, and am much happier for it.The range of this headset is a bit disappointing. I couldn't do much more than leave my office, and it would cut out. Using this headset for a conference call was out of the question, if you ever wanted to visit the kitchen during it. Why is a house-wide range so hard for a $170 headset, when my far cheaper six-headset telephone and answering system works fine when I'm in the neighbor's yard? You can mute this headset in most cases by pushing a button, or flipping the microphone up, which is a nice enough feature, but it turns out that this is controlled by software that is not all that it could be. For some programs, and notably GoToMeeting, the program is allowed to hijack the headset's mute control, so that you cannot mute through the headset controls at all, though it shows itself as on mute with the little red led. I found myself making all sorts of noise, on mute I thought, while everyone on the meeting heard it, until they eventually complained. This product appears to be in alpha test status, and I'm very unhappy that Logitech has my $170, and I got an unfinished headache of a product for a few months, before I was forced to throw it away.

Ok so long story short, I bought this headset around two years ago. Typically when you see 2 years ago, you tend to hear "THIS STINKS!" or "IT BROKE". Now I will tell you a bit about this headset and my story. So yes, my headset did have an issue around year 1. However, I called up Logitech Support. And they offered to mail me a new one straight up not questions asked, I just have to mail my old one. They even offered me a discount code of 20% off their store for an apology! That is customer support, which frankly most companies have forgotten...The buttons on the side are amazing. Customization and a quick push to talk are cool. I use these headsets all day and they are my primary sound output. Most people think the 7.1 surround sound is a gimmick...No...it's not...The bass is so booming and crisp that when I play movies it feels like an Imax experience sometimes.Enough talking lets break down the numbers:Look and Feel 9/10-"fake" leather ear cups can be a hassle sometimes on a hot summer day, but are comfy enough that I am not constanly taking them off every 10 minutes. The cups fit over my ears to make a snug and comfortable fit as well. The slick gloss and matte finish mix is just drop dead gorgeous. Top that off with red accents make it a perfect fit.Sound Quality 10/10-There was an issue that Logitech addressed with some sound quality issues. In about 2 weeks after purchase, they corrected the issue and provided a proper patch. Since then, the sound has never been better. My voice is said to be "realistic" at times, and as mentioned the sound from the cans is crystal. They also include a side app to modify your voice into a troll, robot, etc. That always makes vent conversations fun =).Wireless 9/10-I went down three floors in my apartment and outside and still had intermittent signal. Enough said. This will reach anywhere reasonably near your computer dongle.Battery 9/10-YOU CAN CHARGE AND PLAY! Amazing feature, and issue of many other headsets. When I am in the middle of a dungeon or game I am not knocked off commission. Just wire them down and we are good to go. The cable is roughly 10-15 FT as well so if you have a issue getting to the box hopefully that eliminates it. Battery lasts for about 9-10 hours without a charge but I have experienced longer times when I don't have much sound or talking. Device also alerts you of low battery so you can prepare yourself. Battery is also replaceable, you can order new ones from Logitech.comCustomer Support 10/10- US based customer support, friendly reps. Understand my concerns and helped me. They are an amazing company and from now on I am a logitech freak. The fact they gave me a apology discount is even better!Overall 10/10Price is not an issue, yes it costs more but you get what you pay for. I bought these at FULL retail, and I would do it again. By far the best headsets I have ever have. Thanks logitech for such an amazing product. Buy these, you will not regret it.

The short version: Great sound quality, easy to use, decent range, ok battery life, mic works well enough, acceptably durable.------------------------Pros:Sound quality- I am picky when it comes to headphones. I often buy $100+ headphones and these didn't dissapoint. Great for gaming or watching movies with surround sound, almost as good for music (I listen to everything from classical to classic rock to hip-hop). Very good bass, solid mids and clear highs.Value- The wired headphone aspect of these is enough to justify the price, the wireless feature and the mic make it a good buyComfortable- I have worn these for hours at a time with no problem. Good weight, stay on well enough (starting to slide when I tilt my head but they have been heavily used for about a year)Customizable- there are volume controls and a mic mute button plus 3 customizable buttons (get some free logitech software to make customization easy)Durable- These things have taken a beating, with 30+ hours of use every week these things are holding up impressively well. They are finally starting to slip a little after about a year of use, but still function as well as ever.Volume- not the loudest headphones ever, but they do a good job of keeping external sound out (note: these are not "noise cancelling" headphones)Cons- battery life could be better. I typically get about 4-6 hours of use per charge. At least the charging cable is long enough to allow use as regular headphones/headsetMic sensitivity- pics up every noise. If I'm on skype I have to have my sound through the headphones and not my speakers. If I use this headset in the same room as my roommate everyone can hear him twice as if he were wearing both his headset and mine.Long range connectivity- the range is not as far as I would have liked, if you go farther than 15ft the sound begins to cut out and the headset will restart itself (unmuting itself in the process) and playing the mute/unmute notification noise over skype/ventrilo each time.Overall worth the money and a great headset.

First of all - Sound Quality. This IS the best sound quality for gaming next to Plantronics Commanders, Audio Technica ATH-AD700, and Sennheiser products. I owned the Logitech g35's and I believe the bass quality was better wired, and I have received numerous comments that the microphone was better on my old g35's.Second, CHEAP QUALITY. I had to buy this because my g35's broke. There's a piece where the screws are above the earpieces that broke THE EXACT same way on both sides after 1 year of use. Of course logitech claims it as "USER ERROR" even though it's an obvious flaw in their production. I bought a Square Trade warranty in case these break.Third, the price. The price/performance of Logitech headsets is GREAT. Audiotechnica AD700's are next in line ($100, but no mic, so get a nice mic +$20) Logitech does a great job of 7.1 surround sound which I absolutely love watching movies, listening music too as well as gaming. The sound quality is just amazing. There is a stereo to surround switch that never gets used, not sure why it's there, but it's a good way to show the difference of 2.1 to 7.1.The battery, most important of all. I see people bitching about it. I have owned this for almost 30 days now. I game for 7-8 hours it will last. Even when it runs low it gives you different beeps. The cord is long, so I just plug in and play. I have 1 problem though. there's a slight "Zezezeez" sound of static in the background when it's plugged in. That could be because of my USB station that I have extended from my PC, but it is powered and has a lot of amperage. Static sound is always there when charging, barely noticed unless you are browsing.Wireless capabilities: I went outside and walked out about 100ft. It has the same range as my wireless router. After a certain length they just cut out. The wireless is AMAZING with 2.4 ghz. I don't have any interference problems, or random static when wireless. So, overall I have this 3 stars. Cheap build quality like the Logitech g35's I owned, static when charging, loss of microphone quality compared to the wired brother (g35). Pro's: Amazing sound for the price, great wireless capabilities, comfortable.

I received these for the holidays and was immediately jazzed. I've used them on average for 6-8 hours each day since 12/25/2012 and could not be more pleased. The sound quality is excellent, I'm told I'm clean and crisp and clear on the other end over Skype, they're comfortable, and I can wander from my office to my kitchen and keep rockin' the tunes the entire time.PROS:* Incredibly comfortable for long periods of heavy use* Wonderful sound -- I play mostly games and the surround sound adds an incredible depth to my games.* Fits over my ears AND glasses, no problems* The Logitech software makes it easy* to use and the included voice morphing is really funCONS:* The included driver CD did *not* work with my Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I already own other Logitech gaming products and the software on the CD was older than my current install, but the current install didn't recognize the headset following the setup instructions. I had to download the latest version and update manually to get everything working.* The boom mike is nice, but does not stay up in the mute position. A little more tension on the pivot would solve this nicely.* BIGGEST PROBLEM HERE: Until yesterday the headset simply would not reconnect when I rebooted my computer. I had to remove the dongle, reinsert, turn the headset on and off a few times, rinse, lather, and repeat to get it working. Every day. I was getting close to returning it until I figured out the solution (see below).IF YOUR HEADSET STOPS CONNECTING AFTER YOU REBOOT, TRY THIS:Open the Logitech gaming software. It's probably already running, just click the icon on your system tray. The headset should show up in the list, and if so, that's great. Still no sound though, and the lights are all blinking, no connection, etc. To fix that, fire up an app that produces sound. Go to YouTube, fire up Winamp, whatever. Start some sound playing. THEN, and only then, turn on the headset. It'll connect right away and work just fine.If Logitech would simply *mention* this little quirk in their documentation, I'd give this 5 stars. Truly an awesome product once you figure out the little things.

11/26/11 Update: Ventrilo PTT key now works very nicely. You can set up a standard keyboard key to PTT from the keyboard, and a G-Key to PTT from the headset when you are AFK. I have used the headset for more than 1 year now, a minimum of 3x3hr sessions per week on Ventrilo and a few hours a week on Skype. The headset has performed perfectly. Upgraded the rating to 5-stars which applies if you are purchasing these to game and use Ventrilo.7/5/12 Update: I've used this headset now for nearly two years, same usage pattern, and it still feels and functions as new. Normally I'd have concerns about the life of built-in rechargeable batteries, but this headset just plain continues to work. Even if/when the battery ultimately fails, it can still be used as a corded headset. This is a good one :)[original review follows, edited to show PTT now works.]First off, the G930 is physically a nice headset. Adjustable, comfortable, not too heavy compared to other full-sized, circumaural headphones. I'll leave full judgement on the quality of sound to others, since these older ears are no longer qualified to critique. But I *can* say you get clear, soft or loud sound from them :)Ventrilo 3.0.5 Push to Talk (PTT)=================================The only reason I'm writing a "Day 1" review (which is normally not worth much lol) is to note a key advertised feature that does not work. The reason I bought these headphones vs several others was the three G-Keys, and their ability to send commands to my PC while I am physically away from the keyboard. Specifically, the advertisement that Ventrilo "Push to Talk" was supported. It is not. [as of 3rd quarter 2011, this feature works very well].The G-Keys work with a drop-down, limited LIST of applications, ie., Windows Media Player, iTunes, Winamp, PowerDVD, WinDVD, and the G930 software itself. Ventrilo 3.0.5 (app & version number) is also listed, and a listed action for this app is "Push to Talk". I checked all those things before I bought, but after an otherwise pleasant hour with Logitech support in the Philippines, the function does not work, it is a known issue, and "they will get back to me when there's further information". [It's meaningful to note that Logitech support *did* get back to me several months later to notify me that the PTT feature now worked.]Logitech G-Keys - What is Expected from a Brandmark===================================================The other thing you should know is this: When Logitech mentions "G-Keys", that word invokes the functionality of EVERY other Logitech product that has "G-Keys". PC gamers know the term. G-Keys can be programmed to send any key, key combination, or string with one key-press as if it were typed, very quickly, via the keyboard. The "G"930's G-Keys do NOT work that way. Each of the few listed apps has only a short list of pre-determined command choices. This important difference is obscured, no doubt intentionally, in Logitech's limited literature.Other Observations==================Range: 40' seems a fair estimate of range vs the advertised range of other products. So I get a little more range than bluetooth, and arguably half what I get from, say, Sennheiser RF Headphones (100' "open air" advertised). At the edge of signal loss, the headset becomes slightly directional, ie, you can at times re-acquire or lose the signal. This is pretty much standard in my experience.Environment: My G930 needs to operate in a "radio-noisy" and highly metallic environment (lots of gear, transmitters, metal in/on exterior walls), and it performs as well as any RF devices I have used here.Ergonomics: Pretty good, with some "buts". All the keys placed on one ear piece is a good decision, but crowding can lead to indvertant button presses when picking up and donning the headset. Choosing the left ear piece was a good choice, but left-handed mousers will have some adjustments. OTOH, the G-Keys don't have much - er, any - practical gaming function, so this isn't an issue. The "Power On" key implementation is unusual, and very poorly defined. The best I can tell, to turn the device off, hold the button in for 3 seconds (not 5), and if it changes to blinking green when you release it, you have successfully shut it off. If it doesn't, hold the key a little longer next time lol.I'll be back with updates when I have used the device long enough to know it. Yes, I'm keeping it, yes I like Logitech products, and I'm hopeful eventually the G-Keys will eventually be real G-Keys. (As of 11/11 they are not.)10/20/10 Update:================I originally posted these two as workarounds for PTT. While they are no longer required, they may still prove useful:1) Very Cumbersome: When going AFK, switch Ventrilo to "open microphone", and rotate the headset microphone up to mute, down to talk.2) Highly workable: G930 software supports "plug-ins". Fortunately, a User has created one that works not only with Ventrilo (I tested it), but should work with other voicechats. The

Wireless headsets are still a rare breed with just a handful of options to choose from, but the G930 isn't just profiting from lack of competition. It is an all around great piece of hardware that is better than any headset I've owned in nearly all ways, wireless or not. It has excellent sound and recording quality that isn't impacted by the wireless, as is common with anything using Bluetooth and most of the earlier entries in the wireless headset market. The three buttons get the job done for navigating through music while you're adventuring in your bathroom or kitchen or whatever manner of illicit walkabout activities you're engaging in (don't go near a running microwave). Having the buttons definitely shows you their usefulness and quickly leads to the desire for a few more. Three buttons is next, previous, and pause which is the minimum amount for it to be of any use and would be greatly serviced by doubling or tripling that. Next version hopefully. Here's where it loses the star. If it didn't kick such a plethora of asses in other ways it'd lose two stars cause this is a biggy. The joints above the earpieces are really fancy and Robocopeaque and nifty and whatever. They're also structural failure points on a headset widely reported as having a very snug fit. I'm not the most gentle with my stuff but I'm also not club-arming my stuff into walls so I'd label myself in the rough-but-within-reason range. The elbow joint is designed with a middle small connector swivel piece which is what holds it together, and it bears the brunt of abuse. At the connection points eventually a piece of plastic clamping the three parts of the elbow together will break and you will have an elbow joint which no longer has an elbow. After the elbow is dead the only thing holding it together is the wire. Wires are not load bearing.I bought these a year ago and around 6 months ago the left side joint had catastrophic failure as I long predicted. I triaged with an electrical tape splint that at least protected the wire and kept it serviceable. The joint is both a socket and a swivel, and the socket will still kind of allow you to keep a solid feeling to it if backed up with enough tape, but you lose all movement obviously and the headset will not fit tightly anymore.Yesterday the right side failed in the same way. I once again triaged with electrical tape but with both sides gone it's like having giant droopy dog ears that slap against you and fall off if you look down. I triaged with even more electrical tape and created a jury rigged head mount for with a strap for my forehead and another strap that goes behind my head toward the bottom. Between the two ear cups and the straps it once again fits snug as it did before it broke. It's still an awesome headset otherwise but it became too cumbersome to realistically keep using it. To keep it on my head requires massive amounts of electrical tape and an incredible amount of genius level tape engineering on my part. I can't simply "wear" it anymore; I have to mount and dismount it from my head like I'm suiting up to pilot a spaceship. It would be cool if I was but I'm not. I'm piloting my chair at my computer and that's not cool normally and especially not with headgear.Anyway, I ordered a new G930 earlier today. There's no replacement on the market for it yet so my choice is between perfecting my electrical tape head mount or buying a new identical headset. I know I will blow the eblows out of this one too but at least this time I bought 60 yards of heavy duty electrical tape along with it.

I purchased this headset in January 2012 because my home office is directly below my kids room and I often work late at night while listening to music or watching netflix. I was excited about the product as I have enjoyed logitech products for years, and loved the wireless feature as I was coming off a set of Tritton headset where the wires were always getting in the way.Everything was great up until last week when I go to put on my headset, which had seen maybe 10 hours of use since purchased January 10th, and the right muff is dangling from the wires. Now I had read some postings on Logitech's community forums about this exact issue, the critical stress point where the muff joins the headband is secured by a very small(about 1 inch by 1.5 inch trapezoid shaped) and apparently fragile piece of plastic with 4 screw holes. I am an engineer by education, and although i don't design consumer electronics for a living, even I can tell you that this was a poor design implementation in an otherwise solid headset. Using even a cheap metal alloy would have made this 500% more durable and added almost nothing to the weight.I call up their warranty claims center and I am fully expecting to get hassled, told that it's not covered under the warranty because I neglected them, etc, etc. To my amazement I get a friendly rep who takes down my info, has me read some data off the headset, gives me a case number and tells me they will be replaced under the warranty. Shocked, I get the UPS prepaid label, pack the headset up in a box and ship it off. He says they will ship me a new set as soon as my old one arrives. Now this makes me think they have a known issue with the headset, which I hope is fixed with my replacement set. If all goes well i will keep this a 4 star review. If not I will update and adjust it.UPDATE:Warranty turn around time was fantastic, shipping is UPS ground, which it slow, overall it will have taken 11 days from the day I shipped the broken ones, 9 of which was transit time. Will update again later.Update 2:It's now almost 3/4's of a year after Logitech replaces the first pair, and I am revising this to a 4 star rating. They seem to have fixed the issue with the brittle plastic, but I still treat the things like glass. One issue that comes up is Flash support, and balance in the audio, but can be fixed by rolling back to certain versions of flash. I use them for business calls all the time using google talk, audio is always clear. There is a drop out every once in a while, but nothing critical. Range is ok, but nothing spectacular. I would love to see these in a universal design so that i could use them with pc/xbox/ps3/any source. But they are just for pc. Overall 4 stars because I only paid a hundred for them at a big box store.

Are you looking for a gaming headset that will last for your long gaming sessions? Well, look no further because I found the perfect gaming headset for everyone from serious MMO gamers to casual gamers. The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset offers comfortable padding, surround sound, wireless connectivity, programmable G-keys, a noise cancelling microphone, and much more! When playing MMOs, people often use Ventrilo or TeamSpeak to communicate vocally with their teammates. Many gamers chose to use a headset and mic combo to do this with. It gives the gamer privacy if others live with them, and the mic helps to make their voice come through better for others. As a MMO gamer, I use Ventrilo, and I've gone through a few headsets that never lasted very long. I have also tried using a separate headset and the internal mic on my laptop, and also a separate microphone. This worked for a while, but it got rather annoying for using for extended periods of time. After using the Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset for about a month so far, I am pleasantly happy with it, and have had absolutely no problems with it. It was extremely easy to setup and use. If you want to listen to something without the headphones, all you do is unplug it from the USB slot. It really couldn't be any easier. It is a comfortable headset to use when it is wireless or plugged in to charge the battery. The cords coil up when not charging, so they don't get in the way and make my desk look messy. The sound is fantastic, and the mic works flawlessly, too. I have fun using the space squirrel voice morphing on my friends, and it also makes me laugh when hearing it for myself.Overall, I really like this gaming headset. It is comfortable, has amazing sound quality, and is quite durable. If you are looking for a headset for gaming, this is the top of the line quality you're looking for. I highly recommend it.Disclosure: Thank you to Logitech for providing me with the product for review. All opinions, experiences, and thoughts about the product being reviewed are my own.

I've read all the negative reviews concerning the G930. I can't say I've experienced any of them.I will address the two major issues I've come across before moving on:"White Noise" - Many people complain about static or white noise in the background. The only background noise I hear is while the device is connecting or if the "Sidetone" volume adjuster is too high. The Sidetone adjustment determines the amount of real-time feedback produced by the mic (also known as microphone monitoring)."Noise Cancellation" - Several people have moaned and groaned about the non-existent noise cancellation. I'm a heavy Team Speak user. Under their voice detection tab, there's a graph which shows mic input levels. Every headset I've owned has picked up 10-30dB of noise (background / static / mic gain). While testing the G930, the meter remains dead flat. As in, there's no heavy background noise getting picked up. The noise cancellation does exist and thus far, the microphone has proved to be better then my Turtle Beach X12's.The headset is fairly comfortable. I wear glasses and have larger ears. Yet, my ears fit perfectly and are completely surrounded. The sound quality isn't too shabby, although if you're a Turtle Beach fan, you'll notice that the lower frequencies are lacking. Luckily there's an equalizer included with the Logitech software. The range, battery life, and side buttons are great features. I especially love the red LED light located on the microphone which indicates whether or not the mic is muted. There's nothing worse then forgetting to mute your microphone, only to rip a loud one or cuss out your roommate. That little red light is amazing.Pros:Good quality sound (Bass is lacking, but can be adjusted with included software)Comfortable (Even with glasses and dumbo ears)Price (If you nabbed it while @ $94)Red LED Mic mute indicatorRechargeable (I hate buying batteries)Microphone Monitoring (Aka, Slidetone, can be adjusted with included software)Cons:Auto shut-off due to inactivity (As far as I know, I can't disable this or extend the 10min window).I look forward to the next model.

I received my G930 headset in less than 2 weeks, which is pretty impressive as they were shipped to Australia. When they arrived I quickly installed the software and set them up, I started Windows Media Player and started listening to some music..I was very disappointed.A quick search on google later for a software update, and 1min download (56mb update) and the difference is amazing, before there were alot of bugs with the EQ and the settings were limited to say the least. After the update, the EQ is very easy to manipulate and there are alot of settings to fiddle with. This headset is very well built, the programmable keys are awesome, and there are plenty for what I want to do with them. Furthermore, after the update there is the option to create multiple profiles and assign them to applications, ie. For Windows Media Player I have left the programmable keys as the default next song, play/pause, previous song. However, for skype I have set the programmable keys to change my voice. The sound is very, very good. The bass responds well and is very clear. The 7.1 surround sound is absolutely amazing, having been a firm believer that you could not get real surround sound without a home entertainment system, I was amazed at this product. The 7.1 surround sound gives me the upper hand in games and I prefer to use it with music aswell. However if you didn't want to use the surround sound for music, then there is a very handy little switch that dynamically switches between 7.1 and stereo. The headset is very comfortable and the ear cups are definitely going to cover your whole ear, the noise cancelling mic does a pretty good job blocking out the noise when you aren't listening to anything, and when you are listening to something, then it is virtually impossible to hear anything background noise. The ear pads are comfortable and help to both block out outside noise and keep the inside noise, inside.Which brings me to the battery life, when I got the headset there was 2 hours battery life in them, I plugged them in and started using them - it took two hours, while I was using the headset to fully charge the headset. Once fully charged the headset lasts 10 hours. Furthermore, the wireless is very good. I don't have a small house by any stretch of the imagination, and I was quite comfortably able to venture throughout my entire house and onto my veranda while talking with friends, which passes through 3-4 walls. For approximately $100 AUD these are a bargain in my eyes, with a little tender loving care I can see these headphones lasting me a long time.

PROS:- The sound quality is good. For the price I got it at, I was actually somewhat surprised by how good it sounded.- Feels good to wear. I've had several pairs of headphones before that I simply can't wear for longer than an hour because it physically hurts. I had no problems with these; they felt great.- Buttons. Really nice to have a volume wheel and a mic mute button on the headset. I only used the three macro keys for media, never tried them in games.CONS:- Mic weirdness. The mic has an auto-mute feature that is supposed to turn itself off when it's in the upright position, but I found that it had trouble figuring out where it was-- sometimes it wouldn't turn off, sometimes it would turn itself back on at random times.- Connection Issues. THIS IS A BIG WARNING! After about a month or two of ownership the headset started having connection problems. The audio cuts out every so often (I've found it gets worse over time, but fluctuates greatly from day-to-day). The problem is with the USB dongle; you can see the light flick off every so often, wait for a few seconds, then flick back on. It's extremely annoying, and I wouldn't buy another one simply because of this. Lots of people are having this problem, with many claiming different causes. Some are saying the firmware is bad, some are saying it's the wireless frequency getting interference, but whatever it is, it's a deal breaker. I've contacted Logitech, and am waiting a response. Generally people have been able to get theirs replaced without issue, but just be warned that there is a problem out there.2 stars because when it was working, it worked great. If I can get a replacement from logitech that doesn't have the same problem, I will bump it up to 5.

Logitech seems to have completely failed with this product.I bought the Logitech G930 to replace a nice wired Bose headset. I wanted something more upscale and gaming-centric, plus wireless was a must since the wired connections have been the point of failure for virtually every headset I've owned since I always snag them on things.I read a few "industry" reviews which often placed the G930 at the top of their comparisons. For the price they seemed to be the most feature-rich and highly-rated option. I read a few "customer" reviews, however, and found a pretty mixed response. Since I usually assume "you're doing it wrong" when I read bad review I bought the G930 anyway. My mistake.I got the headset today and was very excited to try it out. I un-boxed it, followed the installation instructions to the letter (because I'm a rule-following dork) and TA-DA!---- very crappy, crackley sound that drops in and out. WTF?I tried to re-launch the G930 software that comes with the installation disk (to adjust the settings) and repeatedly get the error "unplug and re-plug your headset". I have un-plugged, re-plugged the headset about two dozen times. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the software several times as well. Nothing. The sound is bad and the software won't launch. The Logitech Support forum is completely full of customers complaining about the same thing. A search of Youtube also reveals more of the same. Apparently Logitech has been completely silent on the topic, offering no solutions. This may be a great headset, but because of terrible software I'll never really know. I'm boxing it up and returning ASAP.

MY HISTORY WITH THIS PRODUCT:I've owned this headset for almost a full year. Technically, I've had two of them, since the boom mic snapped off the first one and had it replaced. I use these every day, for multiple hours and a variety of uses (VoIP calls, gaming, music, and movies).PROS:The audio quality, when it is working, is good. The bass in 7.1 mode is great, and the overall surround sound is pretty convincing. They are comfortable and rechargeable via USB.CONS:The biggest problem here is the wireless connection. Both headsets I owned suffered from this same problem - they would frequently just restart or lose the signal and reconnect. The process takes about 3-5 seconds each time, and sometimes you get multiple restarts in a row. It doesn't sound too bad until it happens when you're watching a movie and you have to quickly pause or rewind a bit because you suddenly couldn't hear anything they were saying (which also completely pulls you out of the movie), or when it drops out in the middle of a phone conversation, or drops out at the worst possible moment in a game... It happens probably two dozen times a day, if not more. At first, I didn't care too much about it, but the first time you have it drop out 3 times in a matter of a single minute, it's simply maddening. Imagine going randomly deaf for several seconds throughout every day of your life, and you'll get a sense of what it's like.If I could simply plug the cable in and it would use the USB cable to transmit the audio instead of wireless, that would be perfect, but when it's plugged in, it simply charges the internal battery - you still get audio interruptions all the time. The interruptions will also reset the "mute" status on the mic, which can be troublesome if you're intentionally muted on a conference call and suddenly your mic is on and people hear you eating lunch.Second problem is that the power button is a bit flaky. If the headset is plugged in via USB and powered off, sometimes it will not power on unless you unplug the headset and THEN power it on (and then you can plug it back in to continue charging). I thought it was a defect in my first headset until the same thing happened with the second one.A minor third problem is that the boom mic is a little flimsy on the construction. I am careful with my toys, but it still cracked and finally snapped off one day when I was lowering the mic to use it, and that was only a few months into owning it.OVERALL:If they would fix the wireless, I would rate this 4 stars in a heartbeat. If they fixed the power button, it would go up to 5. That said, the G35 seems to be the G930 but wired, and cheaper. The number of times that I've wanted to really make good use of the wireless (go to another room and keep the audio going) is far less frequent than the dozens upon dozens of times that the audio cuts out, so it's just an unacceptable point for me, since that is what this headset is about.

I mostly use these exclusively for gaming on my PC. The surround sound is noticeably better than the standard speakers on my monitor. Unfortunately, I do not have a previous surround sound setup on my computer, nor a previous PC headset to compare sound quality. Nevertheless, I've been satisfied with the sound. When I am gaming online with my friends and family, we typically use TeamSpeak for communication and this has performed as expected. Others can understand me without difficulty and I have no problem hearing others during our TeamSpeak sessions.Comfort-wise, they are a little tight on my head compared to my Turtle Beach Ear Force X41 Gaming Headset - CA1714 for the xbox 360. On the other hand, it's snug enough that I can look down without the headset falling off my head whereas the X41's will begin to slip as I look towards the floor. The auto mute when the mic is up is a nice feature and makes me wish my X41's could do the same. Other notable features include a notification beep when battery is low and continuous usage while the headset is charging. My only disappointment after a year of owning the G930 is the lack of a storage stand like the X41.The logitech software for the G930 is decent, it displays the current battery status along along some voice morphing capabilities. Honestly, I haven't felt the need to use the voice morphing aside from some amusement during some downtime in games. This is also where the three buttons on the left cuff can be assigned a predetermined function specified from a drop down list, but I have yet to find a decent use for them based on the available list.Overall, I am happy with my purchase and I do not have a problem recommending this to any of my friends or family. For me, the G930s meet the standards that I've come to expect from Logitech.

They worked great for a while. After about a 35 days my headset starting doing strange things, 5 days past the return date on amazon. =( It all started after hearing a loud screeching for 2-3 minutes while it still had 4 hours of battery life left, then it shut off. When turned back on it shut off again, even after being plugged in. after 5 minutes of being plugged in and powered off it would stay on after turning it back on. The software would indicate that the battery was at 100% at this point which is odd since it normally takes 2 hours to fully charge. The battery in the headset is low quality, and fades very fast from normal everyday usage. Replacement batteries are 5 bucks but the S/H on them from logitech is $6.50 for the slowest shipping. I ordered 2 and I'm hoping they fix the issues I'm having, but I cant help but wonder how many times I'll need to replace the batteries over the lifetime of this product.Other things to note, when low battery, every button you press on the headset raises the volume, and the wheel nob stops working.Bass crackles, more of a software/driver issue then the quality of the headset there. Was able to work around it.The on off button is odd, you have to hold it for an exact span of time and let go before it will turn on or off.The buttons are limited by the software to certain programs they effect, you cannot customize it very well, so not worth the extra money if you want the buttons.Support is non-existent. Can ship it back to manufacturer for a new one with the same problems with only a month and a half wait.----Pros, comfortable and doesn't get overly sticky or hot like other cheap headsets.Once the bass is working right it sounds great.Surround sound is great for FPS'.The Mic is of good quality, although the mute button takes some getting use to.Range of the wireless part is excellent, can raid the fridge while raiding and hear anyone talking about you while you're afk.Trolling your mates with the voice synthesizers in the software is always worth a laugh.Somewhat durable parts. If you don't mind replacing the battery once a month you could use the wireless often.... about $12 a month, or if you buy replacement batteries in bulk $67 a year.

Love it. Very good headset. No windows 8 software yet, but I love it very much. I use it with Skype and it is the best thing I ever got. Calls are very clear and it is a pleasure using it.Here is update of the review I have previously posted:I had this G930 headset for 5 months and it was working great for the past 5 months, few weeks ago it started to having issues the receiver will disconnect every 5 to 7 minutes for 8 to 10 seconds, it is very annoying and makes to headset useless, so I contacted the Logitech customer Service/TechSupport and after few days of exchanging e-mails back and forth they have issued RMA and emailed me the prepaid postage to return the defective headset and get the replacement. Week later I got the new/replacement headset and I was very happy, I tested. The new headset that I received after 15 minutes of use had the exact same issue as the one that I sent in receiver will disconnect every 5 to 7 minutes for 8 to 10 seconds. Few days ago I contacted LogiTech TechSupport again and explained that the replacement G930 headset has the same issue as the one I sent in. I got RMA yesterday and I will send in the defective headset tomorrow. for some reason I do not have any faith in this product it appears not to be ready for prime-time, I just wonder now how is even possible this product to be on the market. Maybe if you lucky you may get one that works for few months, if you are not so lucky you will end up printing UPS labels and running to the UPS store to return yiour useless G930 headset. If I knew what I know now I would never buy this product unfortunately, ones you bought it you will not be able to get your money back and you have to play the return game probably every two weeks.

While I am not a huge gamer - unless you want to call "Second Life" or playing various Facebook games a "gamer" - I don't think I qualify. But I have to say. I am a Mac person and although these wireless phones don't come with Mac drivers (I hope they will eventually and have written Logitech asking for a status on this as well as PS3 drivers) I can work the phones at their basic level just fine on my iMac. I don't get button programming but the volume roller knob works and with my iMac watching video and listening to music is fantastic! The sound is crisp and clear and for using on Skype (dorky as it seems) the microphone is wonderful, noise canceling and comfortable. These headphones remind me of a throwback from the 70's. The big fat headphones with the padded ears and the coiled wires. If you remember how comfortable those used to be, you'll understand what I am talking about. Those were the most comfortable headphones. Along came Sony with their Walkman in the 80's and those tiny headphones with the orange sponge covers ... I remember when these evolved and took over the consumer market. Everything got smaller while giving up the comfort factor. These Logitech G930 gamer headphones reminisce to the great days of listening to music in an easy chair for hours. I watched several episodes of Weeds: Season One while sitting in front of my iMac 21.5" screen. I could control volume easily with the scroll wheel on the side. Getting my iMac to work with the headphones required no CD driver installation -- I just went to my settings and changed the Sound input and output settings. I have use of the buttons as forwarding through tracks, restarting and pausing. No problem whatsoever. Crisp, clear DVD sound and iTunes music sound.I decided to test the range on this headset (range from me/headset from the wireless adapter and iMac) and was extremely surprised that I could cover every corner of my house with no problem (2300 sq ft). When I stepped outside and shut the door, I lost the signal completely. When I stepped back inside, it came back.I realize that folks looking at this may be a totally gaming audience. For a PC installation, I am sure that all functionality is available including the buttons and the 7.1 surround sound. I hope that they will consider developing both Mac and PS3 drivers for this headset. I've seen a desire for PS3 drivers for a headphone of this caliber and I hope Logitech sees and responds to that need.If I get an update from them regarding my request for a status on driver development, I will certainly post it here. As a wireless headset even WITHOUT any CD installation I think they are fantastic and worth the money. I almost considered giving the phones 4 stars but then realized that the platform is really MY issue and has nothing to do with the quality of the device itself. I also almost wondered why Logitech did not include some kind of little plastic stand for them until I realized that the phones lay totally flat. Storing them is easy.I have to also say that I like the USB wire spool and the ability to use the phones (tethered to the USB of course) while they charge. Ingenious! It's as simple as plugging the USB wireless adapter into the spool and the spool into your computer. Plenty of cable to work with while they charge, Very cool feature. The phones are comfortable, durable and look like they can stand the long haul and hours of use at a time. Even my Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® Headphones can't hold a candle to these regarding comfort. These are made to be worn for hours at a time. They definitely help to block ambient noise and are a pleasure to wear and should fit heads and ears of many sizes. I might question youth sizing though and suggest that these be tried on in a store if possible. There are a lot of adjustments that can be made to them but it seems like ages 10-up would be the best fit for these. It's a matter of the length. If there is any question on sizing, I would suggest trying them on if possible.Fantastic headphones. I'll wait patiently for newer, multi-platform drivers and will report back.5 Stars for quality in fit, finish and functionality.UPDATE: News on Mac and PS3 directly from the Logitech engineers:"We currently don't have plans for releasing Mac software for the G930. Logitech is very aware that the number of Mac gamers is growing and we're taking that into consideration for future development of our products. It's a "no" on the PS3 also I am afraid. The PS3 does not support USB audio out, and the audio in is looking for a specific VID_PID.Sorry the news isn't better, but it is what it is!"

I bought this first for my husband for Christmas, and then for myself after trying it out. It's quick and easy to install. No issues with setup. No special knowledge required. The sound quality is fantastic. I'm getting a lot more out of my games than I used to, especially The Secret World. The mic mutes when flipped up which is a good feature, though I am mostly a push-to-talk user. The design cups around the ears instead of pushes on them, which is a huge plus. It really blocks out a lot of outside noise. In fact, even though we're in the same room, my husband and I jump onto voice chat when we're wearing this headset because it's easier to hear each other that way.I only have one issue with this, and that's the lack of adjustability for my head size. I wear a medium in hats, but this is built just a little too big, as if the designers didn't expect average-sized women to want to use it. It starts at large and goes up to XXL. At the smallest adjustment, I can't wear it for long periods because it sits too low and pushes on the sides of my jaws. It gets really uncomfortable. If I need to wear it for long, I have to wrap a towel or fabric around the top several times to get it to sit in a higher position. It's a little awkward, but since other headsets I've found in my price range are also built large, it seems like I don't have much of a choice. I'm picking up some foam and fabric from the craft store and some velcro to sew myself custom padding. That's what knocked this down to a 4 star review in my book, but it's irrelevant for anybody with a large head.

I found this headset to be a bit low quality. First, the build quality seems low. The headset itself feels rattly and loose and the plastic construction feels cheap. It's held up so far but I wonder how long it will really last under constant use.The earcups only fold outward so when you fold them to set it on your desk, the earcups are generally pointing up instead facing the table (unless you turn the entire set upside down). I have some non-gaming Audio Technica phones that fold both ways. Not having this feature makes me miss it in the Logitech headset. The "7.1" sound is pretty much faked and a gimmick. Even disabling this fake surround sound is a pain and requires some tweaking. I wish I had gone for the regular stereo set instead. I tend to leave it off.Although these issues are a pain, I could live with them if that was it. However, the biggest issue I have is the wireless syncing. The entire wireless system with syncing, driver, and G930 app is very poorly designed. I don't have an extreme amount of wireless noise in my house, yet I am constantly having to deal with sync issues. Sometimes it works after a restart, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will sync, then disconnect a few seconds later. Sometimes I cannot get it to work at all and have to change USB ports which causes Windows to detect it as a "new" device and resets all the settings. The Logitech driver is completely unhelpful with this and only suggests switching to a different USB port. Even now, I am looking at the Configure G930 utility and it thinks the headset is not synced yet I am getting sound through it. It is simply a poorly designed solution and is the main reason I knocked off 3 stars. With all these flaws, overall, I would NOT recommend this headset.

I haven't read the other reviews on here, but I'm sure they cover the actual headset well. It's a great headset - comfortable unless you are going to wear it more than 2 or 3 hours, and all headsets tend to be uncomfortable after that length of time. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars, is the Logitech G930 software. When you plug the receiver in, it tries and tries to pair with the headset, which is fine. But it does this by apparently doing a hardware scan, so you get (over your speakers) the little Windows "found new hardware" sound over and over again insanely fast. If you don't turn the headset on right then, or ideally before you plug in the receiver, it will not work until you take the receiver out and put it back in. The biggest annoyance with this set is that if you turn the headset off, your computer will still try to send sound to the headset instead of your speakers. You have to unplug the receiver completely when you want to use your speakers. Also, in the "G-Key" setup section of the software, there is apparently no way to have the G-Keys set to a custom command. There are a few (not many) pre-defined options for the G-Keys. But I would like to be able to program the keys to equal a key combination (I want to program a G key to do ALT-TAB), or even just run a program or script that I create - and I can't do any of those things. That's a lot of negative about the software, but I still give this headset 4 out of 5 stars, because the headset itself is so good. This headset would be my favorite headset ever if they would only fix a few annoyances in the software.

-Pros -Around the ear cup design effectively cancels noise and provides high level of comfort for prolonged periods of time, especially for those like myself that wear glasses.Provides superior sound quality, I hear things I did not with my THX certified 5.1 surround sound speaker setup. Built in volume controls and G keys are immensely useful. Wireless range is great, I can reach nearly anywhere in our 4000 square foot house. Will fit even the largest head, great measured and notched design make it easy for a friend to borrow, and adjust back to the way you like it. battery life really is about 8 to 10 hours.-Cons -Joints can be a little creaky, though nothing major, no docking station, that would have been nice, can get a bit sweaty on warmer days. Standing next to the microwave while nuking my hot pockets seems to create some kind of annoying interference.Every once in a rare while the controls on the headset stop working, this is easily fix by powering the headset off and on again. As far as I can tell, it's use is limited to the PC, and is not usable with the Xbox360 or PS3.-Other thoughts -There are a few trade offs, that are not really cons, for example; The unit is quite noise cancelling, to the point that at first it was a little odd using voice chat and skype without being able to hear my own voice, also makes it difficult to converse with people in the real world while wearing.I have never needed to raise the volume beyond 60 or 70%, however a friend of mine who has suffered some hearing loss do to his profession did run it up to 100% and mentioned that it could be a little louder. Build quality is above average but falls a little short of superb.Really should have a couple front facing LEDs I can turn on to help me find my way to the fridge at 2 am.-My uses -Skype for voice chat while playing with friends, immersive gaming without waking the neighbors. Listening to music while making breakfast without bugging the roommates, phone calls with google voice, and using workout videos early in the morning without waking anyone, (tried with Les Mills body pump, have not yet tried with zumba, may well fly off head in that case...)-Final Verdict -This headset has been one of the best buys I have made in a long time, it's versatility and quality well exceed it's price point.

Well I have had my Logitech G930 Wireless Headset ever since Christmas, 2010, now, and I am even more satisfied with it now than I was then. At first I bought the World Of Warcraft Wireless Headset, but I bought it blindly and just after I ordered it, I checked the user reviews on it. To my dismay, there were so many negative and very poor reviews given by very disatisfied people that purchased the WOW headset. I could not believe it, I had never read so many poor reviews on a single item than I read on the WOW headset. To my good frtune and blessing, it hadn't shiiped yet so I was able and managed to just cancel it. I rarely stray away from buying something based on user reviews. I actually like forming my own opinion on things. But with so many negative reviews, I took it this time as a balant warning Not to buy them. Anyway, then I decided to check Logitech and see if Logitech sold something similar. I wanted a very good wireless headset that was different from the rest, has extraordinary performance with everything; movies, music, videos: Everything. Upon reviewing the product and also seeing much better and way more positive upbeat reviews on the G930 vs the WOW wireless headset I originally ordered and cancelled, I decided to buy them, and I found them at Best Buy rather than having to of ordered them. I have to say that now, after these passing months, I am still very satisfied with my Logitech G930 Wireless Headset. Unlike the WOW headset, the G930's is built with durability in mind. Whereas the WOW headset connects the two earpieces with a single flimsy piece of cheap plastic, the G930's connects them with a double metal band And a very sturdy plastic strap piece covering the metal bands for extra support. The sound quality of both the headset And the mic is sharp, crisp, and crystal clear. The G930 wireless headset are based around a 7.1 surround sound system, and believe me, you can detect all 7.1 aspects of the headset. The Only drawback isn't with the headset itself, but with the wireless USB adapter that comes with it. The USB adapter is made with a plastic that is too big and just glued together. It is very easily broken if not careful. This is a flaw with All of Logitech's wireless headsets it appears, as I have other different wireless headset models with the same USB adapter design. I don't understand why Logitech didn't/doesn't use a more solid, more sturdy or at least flexible rubbery plastic, and I also don't understand why Logitech just glued it together cheap-feeling and where it csn very easily be pulled apart or snap apart and break if banged slightly or dropped. Logitech should have thermoformed it, molded it, or rubber-welded the parts together. They would have produced a much more solid, sturdy USB adapter had they of built it this way. Still though, that doesn't take away any positives at all about the actual quality of the wireless G930 headset. And as long as a person's careful with it, the headset and its parts will last them a very long time. Besides, both Best Buy And Logitech have been extremely wonderful and generous about replacing any of their wireless headsets that becomes defective via any way, Including and especially if the USB adapter breaks, No questions asked. Logitech is very aware (or should be) of this flaw, and they have no problem at all with even sending out brand new replacements for any defective headsets. They have proven themselves to me more than once, to be a top-notch company in every aspect of the way. It is their professionalism, willingness to go above and beyond for their customers, and their high quality products, that I continue to buy and depend on Logitech products. They are truly a cut way above the rest on computer and electronic parts, accessories, and knowledge. To sum this up, I still very much highly recommend the Logitech G930 wireless headset to anyone and everyone that's looking for a high quality stand-out wireless gaming headset. Believe me when I tell you that you will definitely Not be disappointed with either Logitech's high quality performance, durability of their accessories and parts, or their top-notch customer service and tech support! Thanks for reading! Now give the Logitech G930 a chance! You will Not regret it!

YOU CANNOT PAIR THESE WITH YOUR PHONE OR IPODAt time of review I have owned and used these for two solid days (2/21/13)I bought these wireless headphones after listening my coworkers Wireless Beats by Dr Dre. I was turned off by the on-ear design, overall look, and price-to-quality comparison. I knew I could get and equal or better quality headset for far fewer dollars. You could almost buy THREE of these for the price of one of those. I'm not a huge "sound guy" but I know quality when I feel/hear it. While some reviews said they did not think these had true surround sound I did not find them to be lacking at all in that department.Pros:Inexpensive (not cheap!)Great weight. Not too heavy, but heavy enough to feel expensive.Very comfortable. The band has just enough cushion with the right kind of give and the noise cancelling ear pieces fit over my dumbo ears without irritation.Great range and sound quality for wireless headphonesGood bassCons (important to note that I still gave these 5 stars just the downside of buying these):No bluetooth connectivity to phone or mp3USB not auxiliary so you can't even wire them in to a phone or mp3 playerNo fancy stand that charges it like similar optionstl;dr: A great set of noise cancelling, over-the-ear gaming headphones with quality sound and great control (thanks to the volume roller on the side). My co-worker is returning his Beats for a pair of these.Have already recommended these to friends!

I've used plenty of Logitech devices for my various PC's, including a very old Bluetooth keyboard and mouse set that still works perfectly after almost ten years of use and abuse. Although many may be turned off by the high price, it is worth every penny. I am convinced that Logitech is dedicated to making the highest quality PC peripherals and accessories on the market. The packaging is the first sign that you know you bought a well built product that will stand up to the test of time. I was amazed at the thought that went into every detail including the "un-boxing" and fit and finish. The 7.1, when set up correctly, works well and the programmable "G" buttons allow for control on most windows media programs. The sound insulation around the speaker cups works well to minimize outside noises and the microphone has noise cancellation to avoid feedback and white noise. The wireless is 24 GHz via USB and works very well. It is rated for up to 40 feet and has the usual disclaimer about interference through walls and infrastructure, but I can say that leaving the PC and walking over the 40 foot limit to the kitchen to make a drink, I still had full use of the headset for sound and mic. If you conceal your PC in a desk or cabinet, the charging wire for the headset doubles as a base to plug in the USB transmitter in an open area for the best possible reception. Most of what the other 5-star reviews have stated turned out to be the truth. If the price is still too high, you can go with the lesser logitech headsets and be just as happy.I use this for gaming and if you are hardcore into online gaming (think L4D, or Black Opps and the like) you will enjoy this headset.

Over the past 2 years I have owned 2 sets of these Logitech G930's. I love pretty much everything about them except for the fact that both pairs I have owned suffered from the exact same defects. The first pair I bought lasted me only about 6 months because I was a little rougher with them but in the end the wire that connects to the USB to charge the headphones was inoperable. I would plug it in and nothing. I had to charge it using another similar wire from my cell phone. Eventually they completely stopped working. It was a no brainer for me to purchase another pair because nothing else comes close at this price point and the wireless featur works flawlessly..I could wear these out to get the mail and still hear the sound from my games. The second pair I bought I told myself I was going to be a lot gentler with them, especially when plugging in the headset to charge as that is what made my last pair completely usueless. I am now 1 year into my 2nd pair and I have tape holding together the right ear cone but doesnt really affect the functionality to the extent that it annoys me. However I have not been able to use the wire to charge/use my headset since I bought them. I now have the USB stick plugged directly into the back of my PC. The charging port on the headphones is start to wear out as I have to make sure the wire is being pushed in with a slight amount of pressure before the headset will start charging. I am going to buy yet another pair of these because I love them so much despite their short comings. I just hope that they have worked out all of the kinks in this product in the year and a half since I purchased my last pair. If not then I will probably invest a couple hundred dollars more into the wireless Astros. I hope I dont have to though. In all these are very good headphones with a couple manufacturer defects that seem to be consistent issues but not serious enough to make me go elsewhere just yet.

I bought this item from Amazon about 4 months ago when the price was around 120.00. I considered other headsets of this type by Logitech, looking at the G35 and the F540, both of which are less expensive than this one. I went with the 930 because it seemed the most attractive choice out of the three, boasting a metal frame, fully wireless capabilities, 7.1 surround sound, 3 mappable G buttons, and USB rechargeability.I own two other Logitech devices, both of which I am extremely satisfied with. The MX Revolution mouse, and the older G15 keyboard (The one with 18 mappable buttons). The features on this headset performed as expected. Range is good, allowing me to sit anywhere in my apartment and listen to music in full 7.1 surround sound. The microphone responds crisp and clear without any feedback in my online gaming venues. The onboard Equalizer allows for subtle changes in music and gaming performance on the fly. The battery life is substantial, not as much as I would like but they give you a REALLY long USB recharge cord to go with it which is really nice. The ear scoops are truly circumaural. I know most headsets claim to be circumaural, but they only go over part of the ear, mushing the rest up against your head. This one doesn't do that. It adheres comfortably to your skull on all sides which is a needed feature for me since I find earmashing is extremely annoying. So why am I docking three whole stars from this product? The answer is quite simple. There's a manufacturer's defect in the construction which makes these extremely flimsy. In my 4 months of ownership I have been extremely gentle with these.Let me say that again. I've been extremely gentle with these......however, due to normal every day wear and tear the two faceplates on the insides near the four mounting screws have cracked. (One has broken completely off). And when this happens the inner workings of the swivel joint are just plastic, so the ear assembly falls out of the frame. A temporary fix of this-- (Continuously pushing the faceplate back into the joint) has somewhat fixed it, but the honest truth is, this thing should not have been assembled this way. It should be a metal faceplate screwed into a metal frame. I don't know if they were trying to make it lighter (I don't see why a half an ounce of stainless steel would have made any difference) but this would have made the headset correct and functional, and a heck of a lot more durable. It really is a shame, too, because I wanted to love these things. As a result, because of dealing with the brokenness, I like them about as much as the 7 dollar headphones I bought at the supermarket which have a lot of feedback in the microphone. They're broken too, but not structurally, and I only spent 7 dollars on them.Sorry Logitech, but you let this one get by you.

I purchased this product based on the positive reviews here and I am honestly sorry that I did. Thankfully Amazon is great about returns. One of the primary reasons I purchased the headset was for the G Keys that would allow me to bind a Ventrilo push to talk. However, all that happens after mapping the function in the G930 software is that the software crashes after pressing the G key. It never did transmit the signal to Ventrilo. Now one would hope that updating the software would fix the problem. I honestly could not tell you as the updated software that is supposed to run all of the Logitech devices would never detect the headset. Add to that the fact that as long as the software was active, the headset could not establish a connection with its receiver. Less than 5 seconds after I closed the software. Connection. Kind of pointless when the software is needed to run all of the advanced features like 7.1, G Keys and voice morphing. An hour long support call to Logitech did nothing to resolve the issue. The best the tech could tell me is to use the older software. I would have been fine with that and probably kept the headphones if the G Key functionality actually worked with the older software. Sadly, no such luck.I also had a lot of comments on the mic quality being horrible and choppy while in Ventrilo. I cannot totally blame the headset for this as I stopped messing with the configuration after two hours of irritation with everything else. The only reason I gave this headset 2 stars is the audio quality and comfort. I watched a couple of movies and listened to music and the quality was great. If all I was looking for was a set of wireless headphones, I could not complain about the quality. The headset, while large, is quite comfortable and I have a VERY large head.

Sound 3/5: Don't expect a $140 headset with wireless, buttons, a mic, software, drivers, etc. to sound as good as a $140 pair of headphones where all the money goes to sound. That said, the sound is pretty good except for the lows - they tend to break up some during big explosions - sounds distorted if played at upper mid to high volumes. Maybe it is a blown sub?Microphone 5/5: Sounds good. No complaints.Wireless 2/5: When it works, it works well with no static, compression or lag. About once an hour or so however on average (sometimes a lot more, sometimes a bit less) I hear a digital scrambled "gwoonk" noise and the audio goes away completely for about 5-10 seconds and then comes back. Like any house this would be used in, I have plenty of wireless equipment around (Wifi, phones, bluetooth, etc), but I've never been able to correlate the drop outs with any increase or decrease in wireless usage that I can see and they happen with equal frequency when using them at friends houses.Quality: 2/5: I had to return my first set due to the surround on/off switch not working. The second has the audio drop out noted above. Build quality in terms of materials and durability seems good to me.Comfort 4/5: The cups can feel tight after extended wear but still the weight of it can make it want to slide off my head if I tilt it back quite a bit. Overall though, I think they did a good job balancing comfort with cost and wireless capability.Surround effect 4/5: The main reason I chose these instead of other wireless sets was due to the support for surround audio. I think it is an important feature in games these days, and I think this headset does it reasonable well. It isn't as good as my 5.1 or 7.1 speaker setups, but it is as good as I've heard through headphones. I use it mostly for games but also for some movies and TV (go Amazon prime!) I have other headphones and speakers that I use for music, so I don't use them at all for that.Software and Other 4/5: Sometimes the volume wheel won't work, and I'm not sure why, but I suspect it is software related. The configuration software that comes with it is pretty good - no complaints there for me. I like the USB cable / dongle mechanism, though I would prefer a shorter dongle for when I want to plug it in to a PC. I like that I can charge and listen. I like that when you flip the mic up it mutes. After using it several months, battery life is about 3 hours, which is fine for me since it can easily plug and charge while listening.Overall 3/5: Despite the frustrations with a returned unit, poor bass, and audio drops, I gave the overall score a 3/5 because of the convenience of the product and because I don't know of any better options that include surround sound. I'm not sure I'd buy it again, but then again, if I had my money back, I'm not sure what else I'd get that offers wireless, surround sound, and a good microphone...

Pros:WirelessNoise cancellingRechargeable batteryCons:7.1 is a bit gimikyNotes:I've had these headphones for over a month now and really like them. They fit nicely over my ears and cancel out a good bit of background noise. They are comfortable to wear for hours at a time. A full recharge takes about 3 hours via USB cable but you can recharge them while you use them (which is really nice). People I talk to on skype noticed an improvement in voice quality from my old $30 wired headset. The 7.1 is a bit gimiky. It sounds good, but doesn't sounds like 7.1.I've never heard any static or other noise with this headset even when roaming around my house. The base is sitting on my computer desk (not elevated) and I was able to go ~40 feet away with three walls between the headset and the base and didn't notice any noise or loss of connection.I've used these for gaming (CS:GO, Diablo III, BF3) listening to music and to make phone calls and am very happy with their performance in all three categories. It's nice to be able to pause music, skip a track or adjust the volume right on the headset (especially when wondering around the house). The fit is very comfortable but tight enough so the headset doesn't fall off when you tilt your head or look down (a problem I have with the wireless supra-aural headphones I use at work)Final Thoughts:I really like this headset and don't see myself upgrading for years (or as long as they hold out).-Sammy_K

The headset itself is fairly nice. The earcups are large enough not to touch the ears whatsoever, and the general build quality is satisfactory. The "push up to mute" feature of the mic is nice, however the indicator light to show that it is muted is not visible while wearing the headset. The range is rather impressive. In most environments you will not see anywhere near 40 feet, but it is still better than most headsets. The Problem:Driver drivers drivers. I managed to get the drivers installed and the headset working, however that is as far as it went. The software to emulate surround sound and tweak the equalizer would not open and the Logitech Gaming Software did not detect the headset's presence even though it was functioning. I troubleshooted(troubleshot?) this for an entire weekend with no improvement. I tried FAQ steps from Logitech as well as numerous suggestions from online forums. This is apparently a common problem based on the number of posts. I tried newer drivers, older drivers, uninstalling my sound card, disabling other sound devices, etc etc etc but nothing produced any useful results. Other reviews state that the sound quality of this headset is very good, but that it requires EQ tweaking. Since I was unable to access the EQ, the sound quality was actually very poor. The battery life is advertised as "up to 10 hours." This probably is with the sound muted and the mic disabled. I got less than five hours, and there was no warning when the headset died. That you can use the headset while charging is a great feature, I just wish that it would give a warning so that it could be plugged in before it got to that point. I did see somewhere that the software monitors the charge, so perhaps it would have been different if that functions.I have ordered a Steelseries Siberia V2, and will be returning the Logitech as soon as it arrives. It is a real shame that such a nice piece of hardware can be rendered inoperable by faulty drivers.

Comfort: 4.5 Stars due to the fact that they feel loose around my head. Also they do not grip hard enough so if I lean over i have to be careful they don't fall off. Probably meant for larger heads.Sound: 4 stars since the bass gets very distorted at higher volume levels extremely easy. Additionally the sound is very tinny and as others have stated even after you establish your settings once you restart you lose them.Ease of use: 4 stars because it is simple enough to set up profiles. The minus a star comes from the inability to permanently save those profiles.Microphone: 5 stars I had compliments that I sounded clearer when using various VOIP programs like skype, Team Speak, Ventrilo and Mumble. It does pick up background but not to the extent that it is obnoxious or overpowering... unless you have a kid yelling in the background =PValue: 4 stars simply because I had some $60 microsoft headphones for 2 years and the only plus these have is the wireless and voice alteration over them.Cons- I had a few issues with my computer recognizing the headphones via the USB. If you have the same issue where it won't recognize them try unplugging your desktop speakers... No clue why it took that... Afterwards I reconnected my speakers and have not seen that issue reoccur. If you have the cash to spend these are great, however, if not there are similar wired headphones for cheaper that will suffice.

First off, all in all this headset is great. Great sound (see below), not too heavy, fits my head well, good battery life.Pros:- Wireless. In an active SW:TOR guild and can wear this outside to smoke and stay in ventrilo chat. Decent range.- Charges in about 2 hours to get 8-10 hours use (I had it on 7.1 surround the whole time). I charged it once Friday when I received it and again Saturday afternoon so far (its Monday morning currently).- Sound is great. I have comments about this farther down. It took little bit of work to get it sounding flawless.- Not nearly as heavy as I thought it was going to be.- G keys. After getting the Logitech G700 gaming mouse and now this, I love the functionality of the G keys. Only thing I wished is that the 'mute' button was another G key. I dont see the point of having a dedicated mute button if the mic auto-mutes when rotated up. I use mine for controlling iTunes in the background.- Surround works great.- Build quality. 'nuff said.- Mic works well. I use Google Voice as my main phone and called my mother to test it. After she answered and asked "Who is this?" I realized that one of the voice changers was on by default. She had a laugh and I felt like an idiot, but otherwise no distortion and very little background pickup that she noticed.Cons:- Sound can take some troubleshooting to get everything just right.- Mute button. No need for it as noted above.- The three G keys can be a little tough to distinguish from each other, or that could just be I have big fingers. Dealers choice on that.Initial setup (Windows 7):Same as any new accessory. Install software. Possible reboot. Connect accessory.Initially some bass frequencies were giving me lots and lots of distortion. It was so bad that I thought I got a defective headset at first as changing settings in the software didnt make a difference. I decided to just go online and Google search G930 bass distortion and guess what? Many people have had the same problem and there are a number of fixes in the Logitech forums. First one I tried didnt give me quite the results I wanted so I tried a second fix. Sound is now crisp, beautiful, and clear. Zero distortion at any volume level and I still have all the bass in the world. I can feel the headphones vibrate with the bass explosions and have no issues with sound quality at all anymore. All in all maybe 10-15 minutes worth of changing settings and testing with a variety of music to get it how I like it. This is the only thing that keeps it from being a 5star product.I stepped up from the EarForce x11 and to me it was worth it. Wireless is just what I wanted, and after getting the sound right, sounds much better then the x11.

I'd like to start by saying that I've never left a bad review on anything before but I've sunk $130 and countless hours of forum searching on these now and I'm still having the issues. What issues? Just google "Logitech G930" and then insert any kind of trigger word like "sound" or "cut" and you will see many, many variations of google searches that angry, disappointed customers have executed trying to figure out why these things don't seem to work properly. The sound intermittently cuts out, first of all. For no apparent reason, either. You can be sitting perfectly still and not even listening to something and they will randomly drop the connection. It gives you a tell tale beep to let you know when they fail. You will come to hate that beep with a passion if you buy this headset. You can walk around and stress test the range of the radio and they will impress you at times. But they still drop the connection in a most intermittent way. The popping. OH THE POPPING. These things suffer from popping "shivers". I say that because they frequently just start popping in a pattern that almost mimics a shiver. I've tested them on multiple platforms and the worst thing about this issue is (sound just cut out... and back on) that they seem to work fine on some systems and not on others. Someone suggested on a forum that getting a USB PCIE card might resolve the issue by moving the headset to a separate bus. Guess what? NOPE! They work pretty great on my laptop, though. Which is fantastic for 1/2 of the time that I want to use these things.Dear Logitech, you suck.

I have had these headphones now for two years, and to this day I still continue to use them!I am going to keep this short. These headphones function perfectly for what I use them for. I can be in bed and watch Netflix with this on, and while doing so, I can raise and lower the volume. If I am using a media player, I can use the side buttons to pause, fast forward, and rewind what I am viewing. The microphone is great quality, and using it for gaming is completely do-able. Everyone understands me, there is no static, no breath caught over it, and when I am not using it, I can fold it up and out of the way where it automatically mutes. The ear pads are what knocks a star of this set. They are a bit hard, and seal too well making hearing myself muffled. If I game, I usually only use one earphone and tilt the other side off my ear. Otherwise it is great if your watching a movie to have noise cancelling.Battery life after two years is still in the 6 to 8 hour range. These do not get too heavy on your head either.I would most certainly purchase another set of these if for some reason my current set failed, I however would look to see if there is an upgrade to the ear pads, perhaps a cloth set rather than the typical leather like type.

I've had this headset for 2months now and i've really enjoyed them, they difinetly were not a let down. They sound great, fell comfy can were there for hours and hours. I'll keep these short and have a quick overview of cons + pro's.Cons:1. It won't last a full day of Gaming like 18hours(like a rainy day or something) =(2. Sometimes after wearing for 10+ hours if you get warm, your ears might get a little warm but nothing noticable.3. People say of hearing a buzzing noise. Yes this does exist however this is when its recharging and its on your head =). So if you have some music playing or alot of noise while playing a game you won't notice it. If the USB cable isn't plugged it there is no noise.4. Some people have said about the plastics bits breaking. I haven't had any of this.5. Some microwave ovens will kill the connection when used(if you are close to it), So you can't microwave that pie and still listen to music or talk. But once the microwave stops it usually kicks back in(no repairing)6. Sucks you can use it for ps3 i hear =(Pros:1. The 8-10 hours is about right, works great. Just enough time to play games after work and before bed.2. The USB connection fits and stays in while recharging and playing games at the same time. However it sticks around 2 inches out from the bottom. So if you have a jumper on or thick clothes it can knock the connection and eventually make it loose over time.3. The G keys are amazing use this link to edit them =) ( I use it to control Music pause and Next song + Push to talk in games. So i can still chat to people if i've left the room.[...]4. Can get about 30+ feet and the connection is still solid.(through a few normal walls)

I have been using the Logitech G930's for a good 4 months now, and felt it was time to tell the rest of the world my review on it.Pros:- Has full 7.1 Surround Sound (Windows Systems only)- Great battery life (I get more than the 10 hours Logitech says it gets consistently)- Mic can be muted by the 'Mute Mic' button, flipping up the mic itself, or doing it in your OS- Mic and 2.1 Sound work on Mac OS X- Great sound- Completely lag free- Easily gets the 40ft of range, if not more- Sleeps when computer sleeps (Windows only)- Noise cancelling mic- Volume slider works perfectly- Adjustable sidetone (Windows only)Cons:- 7.1 Surround sound only works well in 3D Audio supporting games (Battlefield 3, Far Cry 3, Arma II/III, Crysis 2/3, Counterstrike: Global Offensive, etc.)- Do not fit tightly on head, so don't expect to lean back and these and have them stay on- The programmable G keys can only be assigned to programs that the G930 program recognizes- No support on any major Linux distributionOther than that, this headset is extremely nice, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality gaming headset, and is willing to pay a little extra for all the extra features.

If you are looking for a solid pair of wireless headphones for the pc, then these will fit your needs. But If you are looking for a decent surround sound experience, the G930's completely fail to deliver. After gaming on a surround sound system, I was blown away with how much was added to my experience. Since my personal setup was not optimal for a speaker system, I opted for a pair of headphones instead. After spending many hours reading reviews, I decided on the G930 both because people said it had good overall sound quality, and for the convenience of wireless. While the sound quality and convenience of wireless did not disappoint, I can not say the same for surround sound experience. I wasn't expecting the exact same quality as a speaker system, but I was expecting to at least be able to roughly locate from where a sound was emanating. While there is definitely some spatial qualities to the sound, it is murky and ill defined. In the end, I decided to return these and bought a pair of more expensive Astro A50's. They, despite their own problems, provide the surround sound experience I was looking for. I wouldn't recommend everyone buy them, but if you were wondering if you could get a surround sound experience with headphones, know that you can. Possibly settle for a less expensive wired pair instead.

Prior to these, I had a Turtle Beach X12 wired gaming headset. I could speak volumes about what a piece of crap that was but, I'll spare you.Suffice it to say, these are a vast improvement. Wireless connectivity is reliable and strong. The software pack included is great but does have some silly features (alien, robot, etc. voice morphing.) Built-in advanced frequency equalizer, adjustable sidetone, microphone sensitivity, focus adjustment. Handy volume controls on the left-hand earpiece along with a mute button, (3) "G keys" for functionality of either media controls (next, previous, pause/play) or the Logitech software. Media controls are limited to either iTunes or Windows Media Player so that is a little discourteous, it would be nice if the user could manually select a specific program to control. The Dolby Surround Sound does create a noticeable difference in the listening experience (game sounds, media sounds, and voice communication can all be heard from separate channels without being played on top of one another). Battery life is fantastic! The G930 "control panel" has a remaining battery meter and estimated remaining battery life, says "about 10 hours" on a full charge. If I had one drawback to mention, it would be the connecting and disconnecting of the audio playback device. By simply turning the headset off, it does not stop sound from being forwarded to the headphones. You must manually remove the USB receiver to resume listening from any connected speakers. A little bit annoying, but it IS made easier by the included desktop USB hub (which also serves as the charging station).HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDHope this helps,JChap1590

This is a great headset for playing PlanetSide 2 but was really painful to get working initially. Had I done a little research first I would have found that the G930 is notorious for issues being recognized by Logitech's gaming software. Word of advice when you purchase these, do no install from the disk, but install the latest software from the website. I am using Windows 8 and was able to get these to install successfully. Also, there is an issue with adobe flash on websites making these headsets play from only one side of the headphones (pretty lame for YouTube). Spotify sounds great and these headphones also work with my Retina MacBook Pro (though there is no driver support). As for the quality of the headset, the build is decent, though the G buttons feel a little cheap and in my opinion are useless. I really appreciate the auto-mute microphone positioning feature and really see no use for the voice pitch changes unless I was 9 years old. The 7.1 is outstanding and a real plus in gaming! They aren't kidding when they say you will hear them before you see them and it has saved me several times; especially with cloakers in PS2. Overall I would suggest these with the warning that you may run into issues getting them to work 100%.Edit: I've since updated my computer to a new motherboard and i5 processor. The headset works stellar so I am giving it 5 full stars. Perfect on YouTube now as well, no issues with only a single side playing.

When I bought this headset I was expecting high quality; not just based on the price, but because Logitech has never let me down. I was very, very wrong.First of all, the drivers hardly ever work. I use these at night, so I have them unplugged during the day while I use my regular speakers. At night, I have them set as my default headset, so I plug them in and the computer goes straight to them. Half the time the drivers won't pick the device up correctly, and will leave my computer speakers on, while also having the headset detected. It will also shut down the headset at random times, even though it's fully charged, or even plugged in.The surround sound feature will decide to stop working sometimes at well. I will plug in the headset, and the switch does nothing. I have to restart the software to get it to work again. Speaking of which: The software crashed constantly, and I'm using the most up to date version. For almost $100 you'd think you wouldn't have to put up with this. Wishing I would have went with a different brand. The sound is decent enough.

I'll keep this short and sweet. The Headphones are great, I'm a gamer who has to have everything wireless since my desktop is hooked into my TV so running wires across my living room floor isn't really an option. The audio quality is great, I've been playing a lot of Planetside 2 and being able to actually "hear" an approaching enemy (when I'm not neck deep in enemy fire) is very nice, plus it tunes out everything keeping the whole experience very immersive. Having done self audio tests through windows and speaking to others I can vouch that the mic has great clarity and while I don't use voice masking it is a nice feature. Now the only gripe I have is that the software kind of sucks. Thats not to say it doesn't work but I've noticed times where switching from headphone to regular audio output through my TV the audio will simply cease to function and this is only solved via a reboot. Having read up on this, it seems this may be an issue with Windows 7 but its still something a would-be buyer should be aware of.Overall I recommend this to any gamer looking for a good comfortable headset, I have to take it off after a few hours just to let my ears "breath" but other than it pretty much always stays on my head. Now if you'll excuse I do believe there is a Vanu base that needs assaulting.

I got a pair of these about a year ago. I basically threw them out 6 months ago. Sound quality was great, loved the design as well. Where the G930s fall flat is build quality, like a lot of logitech products I have owned over the last couple years. First place they broke was at the joint above the ear where the screws are. The plastic slowly cracked until the portion between the screws fell out, leaving them nothing to put pressure against. So now one side of the headset was kind of flopping around, but I could still manage when I could get the screws to sit on the small piece of plastic still connected. Then the padding started flaking and leaving black crap on my ears. Finally I lowered the boom on the mic one day, no abnormal movement or even quickly, and the mic snapped right off where the plastic has begun cracking there unnoticed.I really liked this headset before it fell apart, but I gave it a 2/5 because a product at this price point should not fall apart after less than a year. The two star is an acknowledgement of the sound quality and convenience of the wireless headset when it was still in one piece.

Великолепно
Has better sound than my 5.1 home theater surround sound setup (its over a decade old) which is a lot more than I'd ask for in a headset. Everything else is brilliant, comfortable, and its not ugly which is a plus. The wireless connection goes from my second floor through the basement and mostly works when I put nearly the entire house in its way. The microwave can interfere with the signal but other than that nothing is bad about it. Battery life doesnt seem like the full 9 hours it mentions but it lasts long enough to sit through a marathon Game of Thrones session. There are a few kinks that can cause the surround sound to stop working and the headphones to stop working in general. If you consider yourself competent with current technology then that shouldn't be a problem. Almost all the problems that arise can be fixed with a simple reboot of your computer if youre not that savvy. I'm sure audiophiles will have things to say about the extreme subtlety of the ".1" aspect of this headset as well as the fact that the 'center' speaker seems to favor one side but honestly nobody listens to what those hipsters have to say anyway.
