Я все конечно понимаю, но цена 3490 это уж слишком! Купил эту мышку не у Вас, а знаете почему? потому что в моем городе, в обычном магазине она стоит 2490р. и это её средняя цена. Откуда же такие цена космические?

1. Крупная, из всех, что были у меня в руках, эта самая крупная, массивная, - 150 граммов( но это для меня не отрицательная, а положительная особенность ) приятно чувствовать в руке что-то "серьёзное ". 2. Качество сборки, вытекает из 1 , массивно, надежно, на совесть( маленький танк ) Кнопки имеют чёткий ход и фиксацию. Немного громко работают кнопки ЛКМ и ПКМ , щелчок клика заметно раздражает в тишине( ночью, когда все спят ) но в играх и при прослушивании музыки не замечаешь этого.3. Первое, что порадовало, это работа колёсика. Одна из кнопок с верху, переключает режим с инерционного на пошаговый ,фиксированный( как стопор, включая "трещотку" с жёстким ходом передвижения ). Реально, очень удобно работать. При инерционном режиме, толкаешь колёсико и странички движутся по инерции вверх или вниз.4. Удобная система зарядки, при подсоединении кабеля USB-microUSB к мышке она заряжается и становится проводной, но кабель явно толстоват( не пожалели меди и пластика ). Подходит любой кабель с разъемом microUSB, подключал от телефона, всё ОК.Кабеля 2 в комплекте, USB-microUSB( 1.5 м ) и USB-USB( удлинитель, 1.5 м ) Качество, даже у кабеля отличное, на совесть, уважаю щепетильность в мелочах, из них вся жизнь состоит.5. Можно менять чувствительность сенсора на ходу. Разрешение: 200 – 5 700 dpi( сомневаюсь, что буду использовать максимальную )6. Аккумулятор 2000 мАч( заменил на 2700мАч ), судя по форумам хватает на 2-3 дня или 10 часов в игре, проверка заряда включаются кнопкой G 87. Боковые 4 кнопки G4-G7 оч необычные, надо привыкать, пока в играх задействовал 2, потом освоюсь.8. Разочаровало отсутствие диска с софтом, но есть ссылка на загрузку с офф.сайта Logitech( рекламный трюк ). Немного напрягло и разочаровало, пришлось тратить время на скачку и установку прог. За такие деньги, считаю наглостью.Вывод :Покупкой очень доволен, дорого, согласен, но иногда стоит "напрячься" и купить вещь, которая будет сопровождать тебя каждый день и радовать глаз. Мышь Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 не самая идеальная, подойдёт не каждому, но одно точно, сделано на совесть и мне пока не приходилось общаться с лучшей моделью.

ДостоинстваБрал как программируемую с кучей клавиш (реально 11 прогр. кнопок, а если минус режим переключения DPI и профилей, то 9), под большую руку.Важные достоинства:1. Клавиши расположены очень удобно для руки. Мышь крайне функциональна.2. Много программируемых кнопок для дополнительных функций, реально 5-9. Удобно в офисных программах и играх. Кнопки продуманы и расположены так, что каждой вполне реально и удобно пользоваться.3. Внутренняя память.4. Фирменное колёсико от логитек с двумя режимами прокрутки. Наклоняемое колесо.5. Приёмник-передатчик очень маленький и его можно засунуть в саму мышь, то есть мышь реально таскать с собой везде. Радиосигнал очень мощный.6. Очень четкое позиционирование курсора.НедостаткиИдеального ни чего в нашем мире нет. Изнутри написано: Сделано в Китае, что само по себе настораживает, т.к. китайцы мастера изгадить своим изготовлением любой продукт (сделать хлипко, чтоб недолго проработало). Важные недостатки:1. Высокая цена, мах. цена должна быть не выше 2000 руб.2. Быстро потребляется АКБ. Это дико не приятно! Маус условно беспроводной, т.к. всего одна NiMH батарея в отсеке помещается и даже 2700 mAh хватает на 4-6 часов непрерывной работы, а потом нужно подключать шнур или менять батарею!!! Что не айс! Либо со шнура её уже не снимать, т.к. постоянное (по 2 раза в день) дерганье туда-сюда убьет разъем на мышке за полгода-год. Хлипкая крышка аккумулятора, если менять акб часто, то крякнет быстро. В общем шнур таскать придется всегда с собой или пару АКБ. Этой мыши нужна нормальная родная LIion-ная батарея как на фотоаппаратах, тогда будет работать дольше в автономе. 3. Посредственная эргономичность, т.к. очень большая в холке (рука все время сползает с мыши) и малый прилив под мизинец (мизинец постоянно в напряжении), в общем нужно чуть пониже (на 5-10мм) и чуть пошире в хвате у мизинца (10-20 мм, как Defender S Zurich 755 Black USB или Defender S Bern 795 Black USB например).4. Шнур юсб жесткий, то есть при желании можно купить другой помягче.5. Скользкое маленькое колесо, на боковые грани нажимать неудобно, скользит палец. Мне кажется, что вращение колеса в режиме прокрутки "с щелчками" можно сделать потуже, ибо у него довольно слабая фиксация. Колесо тяжелое, и по инерции изредка перещелкивается.Комментарий1. Шероховатый корпус для меня спорное решение (отвлекает от работы тактильными ощущениями), я бы предпочел гладкий обрезиненный (с покрытием под резину).2. Мышь тяжёлая с акб, но можно сделать легче и юзать на шнуре вообще без акб, но светодиодик средний будет постоянно моргать красным, что раздражает если мышь в поле зрения.Если вы привыкли работать с небольшими мышками или "пологими", то не советую брать данный девайс.Выбираете универсальную мышку для дома, офиса? Поиграть в игры, посидеть в интернете, - это определенно ваш выбор!

I have both the G35 and the G930 headsets. I will state that from the previous el cheapo gaming headsets I had used, they were a massive step up. I have some great sein's for cans for music, but until Logitech came out with these, there was nothing at all available for gaming that was good. I got the original G35's when they had massive software and driver problems. Some of which still persist today. Oh which I'll go over shortly.So for over a good year I owned the G35's and they performed well. Comfortable, better sound for gaming headsets than anything previously, AND didn't have a mic that tends to snap off easily. Nor was the mic a piece of crap that makes you sound tinny or garbled. I had owned several Plantronic and cheaper Logitech gaming headsets that had massive problems with mics. They almost always invariably snapped off after awhile. It wasn't anything excessive to do it, just repositioning of the mic several times everyday while wearing them is enough to break mics off most headsets. These were the first solid pair I had. The only problem with the G35's was the nylon wrapping around the cord. It twists CONSTANTLY. The twisting motion will cause the cord to bound upon itself. Eventually it will twist up tight enough to split the nylon. It happened after a year of usage. Not wanting to further damage the G35's, I thought to look around and see what was out there. I saw the G930s were coming out soon, so I went back to a cheap $10 pair for the interim which broke right as the G930's came out.I bought the G930's. I loved how much lighter they were compared to the G35s. They sounded just as good, although good sound reproduction or even better sound reproduction was starting to come from competing headphones in the gaming arena finally around this time. I enjoyed the headphones immensely when they were released. However, it was not all milk and cookies. There were problems with driver stability, compatibility problems with the Logitech software with games, and many times the button customizations for the buttons on the ear piece would not work. Just like the G35. I could deal with it, and eventually many of those issues were solved. I could use a button on the side and program it to activate push to talk in most VOIP programs like ventrilo, mumble, or team speak. It was great if you had to take a break from a group raid while getting a drink in the kitchen. I could hear when others were coming back from their breaks and make it back to the game without wasting time. All while still being able to hold a conversation with those on the VOIP channel that didn't get up to take a break.Still, there were occasional compatibility problems that occurred. One that STILL occurs is with adobe flash. Sometimes you only get sound from Logitech headphones through the right ear. It is a known bug and has been around for a LONG time. There are work arounds like turning some of the sound enhancements on and off. Annoying to deal with but I could do it and did. Again, there wasn't much in the way of competition for these headphones.However, after 8 months, what I dreaded would happened finally did. The micro USB port on the headphones for charging worked loose and now will not charge the battery in the headphones. They have become an expensive paperweight. I babied these headphones too like the G35's. Never slammed them down, had a homemade hook I put on the wall near my computer desk to keep them safe when I was done with them. I never pulled on the cord or did anything that would cause excessive strain on these.So I resorted back to the G35's. I had been using those again for another 8 months when the plastic that holds the cans to the band cracked on the left earphone. The part where the cans are attached to the headband is just a very TINY thin piece of plastic that allows the headphones to swivel a bit. This is a massive material failure piece in both the G35 and G930 headphones. It's not a matter of if this will break but WHEN it will break. On top of that, the faux leather lining around the foam padding on both headsets had started to flake off after about 6 months of usage. It's almost completely worn off the G35's before they snapped.I will say this, while I was happy with my time when I owned them, I would not purchase either the G35 nor the G930 again in their current incarnations. Unfortunately there still is not a whole lot of competition for gaming headsets like these. So right now I'm back to el cheapos that I hope will last a year between purchases. To me I rather spend $20 or less on a pair of gaming headsets that I know will last about a year versus $100+ for a pair that will last the same time frame. Sure the sound quality, mic quality, and fun features of the Logitech headsets will not be matched by an el cheapo pair, but I don't consider it worth my money any more for something that will break in a year or so.Here's hoping that Logitech either comes out with a Gen 2 that fixes the problems of the

Let me first start by saying I am a long time Logitech Customer I can name over 20 products easily that I own over the last 6 years that are still in operation in my household. That being said with the purchase of the G930 I have discovered two different problems that I am encountering and support was useless in finding the source of the problem, I had to do my own research and fish trough the forums from other users experience to ID the specific issues.Why is this? Support seems to have been out sourced. My past encounters with Logitech support and products have all ways been superb. But now that support is outsourced and their RMA Policies have changed, my support experience is not only making me send the G930 that has a hardware defect, but the G510 and the G700 back to amazon for a full refund just out of princeable.So let’s break down the issues I had this this headset. First let me say physically it’s well built and is not a bad headset if they can go back to the old support system. The Audio quality for music is eh okay not great. For gaming and just gaming it’s not bad. For the price I would have liked to see better quality audio.Software:Version 8.40 of the Logitech gaming software is KNOWN by many users on Logitech’s forums to have stability issues and LCore.exe will randomly crash for many users. Rolling back to 8.35 will solve this for most and it did for me again no thanks to Logitech support in fact they told me not to do this and let me point out that on Logitech’s own forum a support rep linked the 8.35 install that seems to be US Based so there is a major disconnect between the phone support and online community support.There also seems for some Video Card Driver Sets the 8.40 also has some issues with Aero theme on windows 7 but I did not experience this although this was one of the 3 major complaints with those having problems with 8.40 (latest 2/25/13) release of the software. So after rolling back to 8.35 the problem of LCore.exe crashing is solved.Hardware Quality Control and RMA policy:If you search the forums for ticking sound or scratch in the audio you will find that there seems to be a quality control issue on a handful of headsets coming off the product line. The complaints you will see some reviewers here as well on Logitech’s own support forum complain about (virtually no help from support) is a hardware defect that causes this audio artifact in the playback and also result in charging issues down the road. Fortunately I only had the audio artifact not the charge issue. These days most of our electronics is hand assembled on an assembly line and I understand all too much that occasionally you get unlucky and get that one that was assembled badly and has a defect. But this is where you need to have good support and RMA Policy’s. So I called Logitech for the third time in this debacle and every one I spoke to is speaking in broken English and a thick accent. Essentially they want to mail me a shipping label for a ground shipment to ship my headset to Logitech support first before sending a new headset out. They will no longer offer cross shipping at your expense as they have done with me in the past with other products. I received this headset on Friday and it’s not Monday. Less than 2 days amazon prime overnight and they want me to send this out for a 2 to 3 week turn around (why do I pay for amazon prime just to get a defective unit overnighted to me to lose if for 2 to 3 weeks?) to see if I get lucky with a replacement? This is insane. Amazons fantastic return policy’s has offered to cross ship a replacement and just because the bad taste in my mouth this encounter has left me with Logitech’s support I am sending it all back and going to a different vendor entirely.It is unfortunate to see this happen to Logitech as I have loved their products for a very long time. I still have a 3 button PS\2 mouse in a box from an old 486 hell I still have an old Logitech trackball somewhere. Their old products have stood the test of time and now it seems that Quality control has gone the way of the dinosaur.So if you are lucky enough to get a working perfect condition boxed headset more power to you! But you still run a gamble of a chance you will end up with a bad unit and if you do support is a nightmare.If Logitech was to eliminate the QC issue or give better support as they once did I would have kept this headset and the other 2 products I purchased with it (G700 and G510) and just did a RMA. But sad to say that is no longer an option…. Full refund…Thank you AMAZON for picking up where Logitech fell short.

I'm a Mac user, and when I realized recently that wireless headsets even exist, I made it my mission to find the best one. I tested the Corsair Vengeance 2000, the Logitech G930, and the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Wrath.Disclaimer in advance: I'm don't really play video games, and I'm not an audiophile. I work from home in a way that requires me to move around my house a lot, and I like listening to everything from classical music to Gogol Bordello to GirlTalk to broadway musicals while I work. Up to now, I've been using Sound Clarity® NC500SC -- which I think are really stellar (especially considering I got them for free; hooray for being the only guy that cleaned out storage rooms at my last job) -- but of course they're wired and don't have audio input. Anyway.The first of the three I tried was the Corsair Vengeance 2000.- These things are huge. It might be the right look for someone who takes alien-blasting really seriously, but I wasn't a big fan. Plus, they didn't seem very portable because of their size.- The sound was fine but nothing miraculous and the worst of the three.- I don't remember a thing about the microphone which must mean it wasn't particularly noteworthy either. THAT SAID, the Corsair did have that feature where it relays the audio input through the output in real-time -- or however the hell you're supposed to say when you talk into the mic, it relays the sound through the headphones, so you don't sound in your head like you're talking into a mattress.- On the PC it might be a different story, but with no drivers available for Mac there wasn't a whole lot of room for adjustments.Conclusion: I had them back in the box and ready to return within an hour.The next was the Logitech G930. The Creative took a long time to ship so I used the Logitech for a good week-ish.- Major bonus points for the on-ear controls. I loved being able to use the volume wheel and REALLY loved the programmable buttons. It was awesome being able to pause and switch songs from 20 feet away.- The sound was better than the Corsair, but there was still a lot of "splashiness" and topping-out on the bass. It bothered me enough to really make me look forward to getting the Creative, hoping they'd sound better.- Pretty durable design. My biggest design beef was that when the ear cups were turned down to lie flat for storage, the unit was really wide and space-inefficient. Not particularly good for taking around with you.- The mic was fine. Nothing fancy. About what I'm used to for a headset. I liked that the microphone can be flipped up to stay out of your face, and automatically goes on mute when you do so.- I liked how they fit over my ears. My ears didn't get sweaty and had some room. Plus, the design of the cups was pretty good at blocking outside sound.- I was a bit disappointed when the battery wore down for the first time. It didn't take nearly as long as I'd hoped, and there wasn't really a warning: suddenly the unit just turned off.Finally I got the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Wrath.- I have them on right now, and holy cow, this bass is AMAZING. The sound quality in general is faaaantastic. No contest here. There's a very, very, very slight background of white noise, but I don't mind that at all since I think it has an external noise-canceling effect.- The mic's fine. Sounds a little bit like I'm talking into a tin can, but whatevs; I'm not planning on recording an album with these. Just tested it with Audacity on which it was pretty quiet by default, and on Skype where the volume was peachy.- They sure fit snug! Normally I don't like snugness, but the pressure's well-distributed and there aren't any outstanding pressure points.- These aren't around-the-ear phones like the Logitech; the pads sit right on the circumference of my ear. This is nice because I feel really sucked into the sound and there isn't any external interference. This will also be a problem because I can already tell my ears are going to get sweaty and uncomfortable. Other reviewers have said the headphones loosen up after a few days, though, so we'll see how that goes.- The controls on the headphones are basic -- volume and mute.- Wow! Software that actually works on a Mac! Major props simply for not feeling like I'm missing out on all kinds of features because I'm not on a PC.I do really miss the programmable buttons of the Logitech. I bought these to use for educational podcasts and two-hour classes I teach online. (Web-based seminars) That means I do most of the talking. Before I review the quality of each aspect of this product you MUST know about autoshutoff:This headset has a built-in feature called "Autoshutoff" which is not listed in the product description or any of the reviews. I found out about this defect the hard way: I was teaching a class two days ago and my students kept complaining about the sound cutting out. I had thought it was my Internet connection or GoToWebinar, but it turned out that the G930 was shutting itself off with no warning (no beep, no blink). I kept talking and never knew that no one could hear me. I spent two hours researching the problem and found a two-year old (2011) forum thread on Logitech's community forum where several people had complained about this and been told by Logitech that this is a design function and that there was no solution. If you do not continually keep noise pumping through the headphones the unit will shut off in a few minutes. It doesn't matter how much you speak--the only variable is whether there is sound coming through the headphones (someone else is speaking).Then I found a new post from Logitech (Feb 2013) in response to brand new complaints about this very problem. The post was a copy/paste job of the original "official statement" two years prior. Needless to say many customers posted their complaints in response. So, beware that these may cut out on you every few minutes. That said, here is my review of the material workmanship and the quality--when the thing is on. Also, please see my "customer images."The headphone sound is stunning. For a stereo ("two speaker") set-up it functions as a surround system, and with surround sound controls. This is easily Logitech's flagship headset. For gaming (where you are assaulted with noise) this is top-notch. The sound coming from the microphone is very good as well. The product works.As to the manufacture. I liked the calibrated metal slide (adjustable height for different sized heads). This was extremely well crafted and the markings were a nice touch. I never caught my hair in the slide either. Very important that you can take your headset off quickly and not have hair yanked out of your skull. The ear covers fully and completely cover your ears--and I have some big ears. They enclose your entire ear and shut out a lot of the outside world. Once you turn up the volume to 11, everything else fades away. The mic is repositionable, so you can have it close to your face or far away. Also, the ear covers (I don't want to say muffs, as you can tell by the images that they are foam encased speakers) BOTH rotate 15 or so (left/right, not a spinning rotation) degrees to allow you greater adjustment. These are extremely comfortable for short periods. After about 20 minutes they do get hot on your head.They have a solid weight to them but since they rest on your head that is not much of an issue. The head strap is cushy and soft--a real plus. The microphone does not hit your face, so that is not an issue, but it does rotate up, and at the point where it stops rotating (up) it has a nifty auto-mute function.The buttons are all on one side, which is a bit annoying, but I can see why. You have to learn teh feel. The rolling slider raises and lowers the volume very slowly (lots of spin for small adjustments), allowing you a fine-tune precision on incoming volume. The mic volume is adjustable by software. There are just so many buttons (mute, off/on, and the three "G" buttons) that it takes some serious getting used to. I had no use for the various pre-programmed voice changers, but then again I am neither a stalker, nor am I 8 years old. This might be a selling point to some customers.All in all I liked the product, but the autoshutoff which is hard-coded into the product and NOT able to be disabled, combined with the complete lack of support, made me return them. But you will have to pry my Logitech K800 lighted keyboard, with it's extra squishy keys, from my cold-dead hands. Logitech screwed the pooch on this one. They could have easily had the go-to headset that saves people hundreds of dollars on professional-level gaming and studio-headsets, but that damned autoshutoff cannot be turned off.I hope this helps. The first thought I had when I pulled the G930 out of its box is that it seemed of high quality, something that I have come to expect from Logitech products. The headset has a nice feel to it and I was not disappointed when I put it on - it felt quite comfortable.After installing the software for it and messing around with the options for a while, I found myself impressed with how many customizable options there were for me to mess with so that I could have it preform exactly as I wished. I was given the basic abilities to change the sound and microphone capture levels, but I was also able to adjust the sidetone and the sound levels of the individual speakers within the headset. This sort of option could come in handy if I felt the sound was too low or high in the back speakers, but the default configuration sounded great as is so I had no need to change it. I was also able to adjust treble or bass easily, or I could go into detail and have the headset boost or reduce sounds at specific decibel ranges. Outside of the sound options, the software let me easily program the G keys to do whatever I wanted, and it even had native support for Ventrillo, which is what I use my headset for anyway. I even found that the software came with a couple of voice morphers which were a nice little extra feature to mess around with.When I began to use it regularly I noticed that it still upheld my expectations if not surpassed them. The sound was great, it was clear and the surround sound was extremely believable. The headset itself sealed out almost all outside noise which is my reasoning for feeling the need to use the sidetone option (so that I could hear myself speak and not start yelling). The microphone picked up my voice extremely well, and the fact that the whole thing was wireless made it all the better - no more would I get cords tangled up or would they get wrapped around my chair just to trip me when I went to get up. Not only that, but the range was significant enough for me to get up and roam around my house with it still on listening to music and talking with friends without issue. Granted I have a small house so the signal could reach most everywhere with relative ease, but for something that is designed to just work at the desktop I was quite impressed.Of course, with any wireless anything, one must deal with the problems that arise as a result of not being directly corded in. The battery life on my G930 is only just sufficient enough. It charges up quickly enough, but the charge holds only just long enough for an extended "gaming session". By that I mean for about 10 hours, which by most wireless battery standards is pretty good. On normal days that is plenty, but on my days off I sometimes find myself left with a dead battery at the end of the day. This leaves me unable to communicate with friends through voice and can be a serious problem if it goes out during a game. I would be perfectly OK with this battery life if the headset only had the capability to charge while in use. Technically, it can, but the charging cord itself is not only extremely short, but the cord going from the dongle (where the reviver is plugged in) to the headset, which is the only part of the whole cord that has the right connector for the G930, is even shorter. So unless you like to have to lean over or have the dongle and receiver hanging from your head while you play, this is not a useful way to charge when it has need of being used. I would really like to see a viable plug and play sort of option in this headset so that it could act as a hybrid wireless/corded headset to fit whatever situation the user may find themselves in.The only other problem with this headset is the software itself - the driver that runs it. It can be quite buggy and can cause frustration, but in all reality the only time a problem with this arises is when the headset looses connection or signal - then the adjustable sidetone and microphone levels may decide to revert back to some random level instead of what you left it at when it was last in use. Hopefully this will be fixed with a patch, but the product has been out for some time now and the problem still persists, even though there are many people complaining about this issue.Despite these problems, the benefits and features found in using this headset far outweigh the issues and make the G930 a worth while purchase. I would like to see it improved upon, but if you are looking for a good, gaming grade wireless headset, you will find none other that are any better than the Logitech G930, especially for this price.

I work from home. I write for a living. I spend ALL day every day at the computer writing -- and my favorite way to relax at home is playing games. While I cringe to admit it, it's fair to say that I might spend more time with these headphones on my head on a given day than I spend with them off. If anybody has stress-tested these things...it's me.This is my second pair of G930s, and before I bought the G930s, I had the G35s, which are essentially just the wired version.They aren't without problems. My first pair went into the trash when the plastic fitting at the top of the ear cup on the left side -- into which the metal size adjustment rail is slotted -- simply broke. The plastic had gotten tired with time (and my taking the headphones on and off), and shattered in such a way that it would have been impossible to fix it without a lot of tape. Tape + proximity to my hair = no thanks. Aside from that structural failure, the headphones were fine; they still sounded great, and the mic worked perfectly. (Prior to buying logitech headphones, I had a pair of Razer headphones, and they also broke at the top of the ear cup, so I don't think that this is a problem exclusive to the G930s -- I think anything you take on and off of your head repeatedly, with swiveling plastic parts that can be torqued, is at some risk of breaking eventually.)This second pair of headphones has lost tension on the microphone arm -- whatever mechanism inside allowed it to have tension to raise and lower in different positions is no longer situated properly, so the mic sags. I've rigged it by tucking a bit of folded paper behind the 'elbow' of the mic where it joins the cup, but needless to say, it isn't ideal. Aside from that, the headphones work properly.Both headphones have had some weird issues with turning on and off when plugged in. This is an issue mainly when used with windows, as the headphones will automatically turn off after a certain length of time if they receive no incoming sounds (or possibly any input on the mic). When that happens, I find it easiest to unplug the headset, turn it back on, and then plug it back in.Obviously, I liked these enough to buy a second pair despite the price tag and minor issues. For my purposes, they're a great fit: they're comfortable to wear for long periods of time; they sit comfortably around my ears rather than pressing on them. They're a little bit heavy, but most headphones of this size will have some weight -- and whatever battery these have in them usually gives me eight or more continuous hours of use before I have to plug them in (which isn't a huge inconvenience, because the charging station and cord are fairly lengthy). The 7.1 is really well done, with a what feels to me like an expansive soundstage that's *great* for gaming -- I never have trouble pinpointing where in the 3D space a certain sound is coming from. The mic is good...almost too sensitive, as sometimes the people I'm in vent with will tell me that the sound of my sink running sounds like a garbage disposal! Generally, though, they say the quality of output is clear and solid.The programmable keys on the side are pretty useful, though I wouldn't mind if the driver software were updated to include other programs like Skype or Mumble.A few last points: sometimes, USB headphones, particularly surround sound USB headphones, do not get along with certain game titles. There can be weird static, dropped sounds, or other shenanigans, and though this is really rare, it's pretty frustrating if, like me, you rely on the headphones entirely for sound (living as I do in an apartment with neighbors who probably wouldn't appreciate listening to virtual gunfire late in the evening). Occasionally, the driver software will decrease the mic volume on its own, or scroll the headset volume downward, without being told to. Little problems like this are usually easily fixed by unplugging the USB receiver and plugging it back in to refresh the device (and then turning the headset on fresh afterward).None of these are dealbreakers. I'll admit I've done a little bit of research on other wireless gaming headsets in light of these little nagging issues, but I have yet to find one that offered me the same utility and sound quality as this pair of headphones does. If you're willing to deal with a wired connection, I think there are probably better deals out there...but if you're looking for a set of excellent wireless headphones, I think as of the writing of this review, you can't really do any better than the G930s.

Oh man have I refrained from using wireless technology long enough due to fear of latency issues and wireless disconnections/interruptions. This headset feels absolutely no different than using a wired headset. The sound quality is amazing. I just got this headset a few days ago and still adjusting to the surround sounds because these earpieces are so large and spacious, it actually does make sounds more clear when you don't have anything pressing against your ears.There are two things I absolutely love about this headset:1. No wires!I don't feel "entrapped" or "entangled" to my computer as I do with wired headsets. I can sit in my chair, put this headset on, and spin forever without the risk of choking myself. I can also move my chair without running over any cords or getting cords caught in the wheels. Also don't have to worry about untangling the cords. Basically, all the cons of wired headsets are nonexistent with these. I even walk away from my computer and go outside forgetting I have these headsets on. Yes, it's THAT unnoticeable! I have yet to try playing music on my computer and see if I can still listen to it from outside while doing outside work as I listen to high-quality music. LoL.2. Voice morphing!Can someone say prank calls? Haha. No I'm kidding. I'm trying to start up some video gaming series on YouTube involving commentary and some voice acting, and this voice morphing feature (that I didn't even know existed until the package arrived) just made my life soooo much easier. I can set up a very deep voice, or a voice of a 5-year-old on the fly without the hassle of audio editing which seems to fail pretty much all the time.Other Pros?Well, you got superb build quality. It also makes it pretty heavy.Comfortable to wear.You got customizeable buttons (which I won't use)Battery indicator (it can last a lot of hours in one charge)It also has a battery-saving system where it will automatically shut off when audio is absent for a period of time which helps prolong battery life.What about Cons?Rechargeable batteries. This is a major con for ANY electronic device out there. Rechargeable batteries die over time no matter how well you treat them and when they die, your whole product is dead unless they allow replacements.Powering on/off. The only con I have a slight complaint for is the power button because you have to turn on the headset every time you turn on your computer, otherwise the computer will default to it's usual audio system.People have mentioned audio cutting out or the headset disconnecting every so often. I haven't experienced this. Maybe it's because I have it plugged into the USB 3.0 port. If I'm gonna use a wireless device, I'd want to use the best/fastest port available so nothing risks slowing down the wireless communication. USB 3.0 ports are, I think, twice as fast as 2.0 ports and I'd recommend 3.0 for most wireless devices to ensure your device doesn't lag or disconnect. USB 2.0 ports might be only good for wireless keyboards.Review Update------So after having a few weeks to experiment I came to conclusion that by having the dongle plugged into the wired adapter makes the headset undetectable at times when you're trying to turn on the headset and the power light doesn't turn on after a while. But when the dongle is plugged directly into a USB port, the headset turns on without a hitch.As for disconnection issues people have mentioned, I still haven't experienced this, but when the headset is inactive for a period of time (or if there's no audio playing from the computer) the headset will automatically shut off which will help preserve its battery life. All you have to do is press the power button to reactivate it.

I bought these a week ago, despite some skepticism from a number of reviews. Despite what those had to say, I'm immensely satisfied.ProsExcellent sound quality. Yes the 7.1 is software emulated, but it makes even Youtube quality sound better. The cans are incredibly clear, voices sound like they are in the room, and I really cannot tell that these are headphones. I usually think that they are speakers when I'm not thinking about it. The surprise I got the first time I paused music was incredible - it was like the music had been in the room with me, and suddenly it wasn't anymore. That's vague I know, but it was actually disorienting. The battery life seems great - after the first charge I used them on wireless mode for at least 7 hours with no change in sound quality or volume. That's another thing. These are actually quite loud. I usually keep them around 50-60% of full volume.ConsYes the software is troublesome. There isn't any way to make the G-Keys function as a regular key, so you can't write custom hotkeys for them very easily. I've seen some custom plugins (for instance, one to integrate with VLC) but this seems to be out of the realm of typical consumers. I have also had the problem where the volume wheel does not work immediately after unplugging the charge cable - you have to restart the headset for it to work. The sound, as I said above, is really excellent with the exception of bass. Sometimes it gets incredibly waffled, especially when the volume is over 90%. I haven't carefully checked if this is because of the 7.1 software or if it's actually just the cans, but it can be frustrating. The last minor gripe I have with this headset so far is the pad on the headband seems a little thin. Maybe I haven't worn it in yet, but the first couple days wearing it, I've been feeling like it puts a bit too much pressure across my head. It's not too much, but definitely noticeable after wearing them for a while.Things I can't speak to (lack of experience from limited ownership)Range: It seems like the range is fine for me. I expected very little range outside of my room, because I live in a dormitory with cinder block walls and a lot of wireless repeaters, so it does fade well within 40 feet. I know that I got at least 20 feet out into the hall, and that was after three walls between me and my computer. I'll try this out when I'm somewhere else to get a better idea of what home quality is like. The set works great within my room though, which is where I intend to use it, so no complaints.Microphone quality: I just haven't done any tests. I asked my roommate if he could hear me fine when gaming using voice chat, and he said that I was kind of quiet at first (before I had turned the mike up), but that it was conveying my voice a lot more accurately than my old headset.Interference: I live in a building with a lot of wireless routers/repeaters, as I said, but I've had no trouble with interference.EDIT: The sound does cut out when you detach the charging cable, but it's a matter of 2-3 seconds before it comes back, so this is not a problem for me. Fading and interference seems to be directly related to how close to a wireless router I am, so I guess the wavelength could be changed to make it less susceptible to interference.Overall though, these are incredible headphones. They had just dropped to under $100 when I bought that, and even if I only get one year of use out of them, I would buy them again. Everyone that I've let try them has just sat there as music built, and slowly just starts smiling. They all want some now. I guess the last thing is that these do block out a good deal of ambient noise, so sometimes it can be hard to tell how loud you are talking into the mike, but I don't see that as a bad thing really.TL:DR They're great, with a few minor quips which seem irrelevant to me. Highly recommend.

I've had these headphones for almost 2 years now, and I'm now having to replace them. The usb power cord has stopped powering my headphones unless the cord is pulled at a ridiculous angle, and the power seems to be drained very quickly, making them essentially corded headphones with all the drawbacks of a wireless receiver.Pros:- Wireless! Make a run to the kitchen without missing a thing or having to pause your music.- Very comfortable. I have a very large head and these were snug but fit my ears well and could be worn for hours at a time.- Very satisfied with the audio and microphone quality. I'm no audiophile but it was satisfactory for me.- Being able to adjust the actual computer volume from the headset was a huge plus. Customizable buttons also allowed me to walk around the house and still chime in on voice chat.Cons:- Huge pain to turn on and off. The power button is recessed into the headset, has very little movement, and you have to hold it down for a seemingly random amount of time in order to get it to make a connection. Turning them off was even worse. This is compounded by the fact that the headset will turn itself off automatically if it doesn't receive any audio for a time. I felt like I've spent far too much time over these two years fiddling with the power button. Why not just use a switch?!- Power cord is frustrating to connect. The headphones use a usb-micro-b connection to connect to power. There are many connectors that would have been a much better choice than this. There is 0 chance of plugging in the cord to the headphones without taking them off. I find this annoying since you are also expected to charge the headphones is when the computer is turned on. Eventually I just hooked up the headphones to their own usb charger plugged into the wall, but what a pain.- Sometimes the connection will just cut out and the headphones will attempt to reconnect for the next 5 seconds. This would happen if there was too much interference (like standing in front of the microwave, very understandable), but it would also happen if the power to the headphones was disconnected or reconnected. When my power cord connection began to fail, this would happen all the time, usually in the middle of a game where I can't stop to inspect the state of the cord.- Sometimes the headphones would get into a state where the volume knob and buttons just didn't work. Not sure why. Turning the headphones off and on again would fix this, but annoying to deal with.- Sometimes when the headphones were in stereo mode and the application thought I was in 7.1 mode, I would only get audio in my right ear. Switching to 7.1 would fix this, but I don't understand why that would be happening in the first place- Minor gripe: The headphones are a bit heavy (understandably because of batteries) which meant that if you looked down they would easily slide off your head. This made doing tasks around the house difficult, kind of defeating the purpose.I'm giving these headphones 3 stars instead of 2 because I got a year and a half of good service out of them. However, I wouldn't recommend these to a friend since the price tag is steep for a product that isn't as polished and stable as it should be. The only other headphones I've spent over $100 on were Audio Technica ATH-A500s which I bought about a decade ago, and I'm wearing them as I write this now. Headphones, especially pricey ones should be expected to last more than 1.5 years. In all, the benefit of wireless listening wasn't worth the aggravation it caused me. I'm going back to corded headphones for now.

Pros:-Light weight and very adjustable for different head sizes and wearing angles-Comfortable for long sessions-Cup design cuts out environment noise well-Easily accessible controls on the left cup for volume, mic mute, and the surround sound switch-Capable of significantly louder output than some alternativesCons:-Does suffer from occasional interference (To be expected)-The Dolby surround sound emulation seems to induce a noticeable range compression (Probably also to be expected)-----I bought these as a replacement for an older headset which had discrete 5.1 surround that I had used for many years without many complaints until the frame broke. I was a bit torn over the issue of emulated vs true surround in headphones as a replacement but decided to try these out. Unfortunately, I don't have any 7.1 sources to test these out with at the moment but 5.1 sources seems to work nearly as well as with my old headset.I've tested this out with a lot of different music and some movies and the sound is very crisp and the range is fairly good. As is common with comparisons between discrete and emulated drivers, these are capable of significantly louder output than my old headset which I usually kept at around 80-100% volume while I can keep these well below 50% for most things. Even when it is turned up higher, the sound quality seems to stay consistent without additional clipping or noise.The one thing I did notice was that the default settings were pretty distracting when the surround emulation was enabled. There was a slight metallic reverb during quieter scenes of talking and there seemed to be a significant loss of depth to sounds which could otherwise be clearly heard in the stereo mode. I also noticed a little bit of noise on the low end during busy moments. Thankfully, the included software has a 10 bar EQ which can really help lessen the gap between the stereo and surround modes. Just takes some tweaking to find what is acceptable for you.On occasion, the headset has stuttered then died for a couple seconds before returning to normal. I suspect it is due to interference from my wireless adapter which would even cause noise over my wired headset. Not a deal breaking problem but it might be something to keep in mind if you live in much noisier radio environment.One small bonus is that the charging cord (an elaborate usb-microusb cord) includes a usb port on the base so you don't have to sacrifice two usb ports if you want to use and charge your headset at the same time (Since the headset won't play over just the usb cord). But you will have to use two ports if you want to use a more inconspicuous charging cord than the one provided.Another personal bonus is that these are much more comfortable than other headsets I've owned. The cups are plenty deep to avoid compressing your ears and the headband is pretty adjustable. There also seems to be just the right amount of pressure to keep the headset from sliding around too much but not enough to cause a headache after long sessions. The cups also rotate back the full 90 degrees if you need them to.-----In conclusion, this headset seems to be a nice choice for moderate users. I'm sure pickier individuals would find the little problems with the surround emulation too annoying but I'm content with the quality for my purposes. The set is comfortable and portable with good battery life and enough settings in the software to overcome many complaints.

I have been a user of Logitech products for some time. I generally think that Logitech makes the best peripherals for the computer out there. I had high expectations for this product, but unfortunately, it did not meet all of them.First off, here's the good: of course, the wireless is the main feature, and I found that the range was fabulous. This headset comes with a receiver that works very well for me, and I can go very far from the computer without much interference. It also comes with a base for the receiver that is also the charging port for the headset and includes a cable management device. I upgraded to this set from the ClearChat wireless headset, and found that this one does not suffer from range problems the way that the ClearChat did. This headset is comfortable for me. I like the fact that the earphones surround your ear instead of sitting on top of them like they do on the ClearChat wireless headset. I like the fact that the adjustable sides on the headphones are numbered, so you can be exact with how you adjust them. I like the roller for the volume. I also like that this headphone includes both a mute button and also if you raise the flexible microphone all the way up, it mutes automatically. The sound quality on this is actually very good in stereo mode.All of these good features come with some caveats, though. I always make it a habit to go to the manufacturer's website to download the most current drivers for a product before installing it. I got the current drivers for this headset direct from the Logitech website instead of using the ones on the CD as Logitech does a great job of including obsolete drivers with their hardware. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. I installed the correct drivers and upon installation the drivers crashed. I was never able to get them to run (clean boot or otherwise). I had to uninstall them and use the ones on the CD. These drivers installed fine, but then when I tried to launch the configuration program it would not open properly. I had to reboot to get it to work right.After that, I could not get the G buttons to work at all, nor could I view the status of the battery charge. The headset is supposed to be 7.1 surround sound capable, but I never get any indication from the software of getting surround sound so I guess I am not getting it. I also don't get any audio or on-screen warning of when the battery is about to go out. I find that it does last about 10 hours, but it would sure be nice to get some warning other than me having to check the left earphone for the status light for a clue. The only feature in the software that works like it is supposed to is the voice morphing, which is a feature that I won't even be using.I contacted Logitech and tried the clean booting and that did not fix the problem. They told me they are reviewing it internally and would get back to me, and that was a good while ago. Because I like the wireless function so much, I am not sure I will return these but I am disappointed that this software is not working the way that I expect Logitech products to work. The wireless function can't be beat, but if you get this you may not be getting all the features that are advertised. Its a shame, because Logitech products usually work well, but this one was not so great.***UPDATED WITH SOLUTION***I wanted to write an update to this review because I finally found the solution to this issue while looking for a fix for another Logitech product I owned. I had an issue with the G700 Wireless Gaming mouse not working, and the fix I found actually worked for this headset as well. I am posting the fix here so that anyone who is having the same issue as me can hopefully find a solution since Logitech has no interest in providing it to their customers. All credit goes to SuicidalPig at the Logitech forums for this one:Disable any reference to Setpoint starting up with Windows via MSConfig. Find the DeviceSettings.exe file (C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPointG on my Win7x64 system). Rightclick on the file & select 'Properties' > 'Compatibility' Tab & check the box 'Run this program as an administrator'. Click 'OK'After doing this you will have to start the G930 drivers each time you boot the computer manually, but it works perfectly for me now. I am getting the surround sound and it is great. I just wish I had found this fix earlier instead of hearing nothing from Logitech about the issue and finding a fix while looking somewhere completely different. I hope this helps the other people who are having difficulty with this product. I am not revising my rating, however, because I can't get my head around the horrible response from Logitech.

First of all I would like to address all of the one and two star reviews that I read before I purchased this product. Many of them complain about things not working, especially with Windows 7 64bit, however, none of these problems are an issue anymore. Many of the dates on those reviews are from 2009-2010 but Logitech as continued to release new drivers that fix issues. With that being said, do not even bother with the CD in the package as that drivers on that are completely outdated. The CD has version 1.0.xxx, while the latest driver can be downloaded from Logitech directly and at the time of this review is 8.30.86 (See link at end of review). A notably big difference from 1.0. Also disregard any reviews that claim the driver is no longer supported as the latest driver was posted on 06/05/2012.Feature Review: -G Keys: 3 Fully programmable G-Keys. The software gives them lots of functionality. Currently I have them setup with teamspeak. Some said this was not possible but it is simple to setup. Just go into teamspeak, go to shortcut keys and set a key combo. Then in the Logitech software set a G-Key to that key combo. Simple really. -EQ: Nothing more you can ask for. There is a fully 10 channel graphic EQ as well as a simple two channel EQ. To access the graphic EQ click the ">" on the right side of the two channel EQ at the bottom and then "Turn on The Advanced EQ." -7.1 Surround Sound: Works very well. As good as you can expect from a headset. Do note did exceed my expectations. When using the surround sound make sure you flip the switch on the back of the left ear that enables surround sound. I would recommend running the included 7.1 surround sound test. -Voice Morphing: A novelty really but it works. I don't plan on using it but all the voice did work. -Wireless Range: Better than I expected! Works through walls and in different rooms as advertised. -Mic Sensitivity: INCREDIBLE. You will defiantly need to adjust the sensitivity in windows and other apps that you use. The mic was able to record me whispering "1,2,3" as quietly as I could so it hears everything. -Speakers and Noise Canceling: Works well. It does not block 100% of sound but nevertheless it is effective at blocking most sound and focusing your attention on what is playing on the headset.Other Features I liked:I love the volume control and mute buttons. The volume control is digital and actually controls windows volume which really impressed me and is a really useful feature. I also love the red LED on the mic boom that indicates if the mic is muted and in case anyone was wondering the mic does mute itself when it is placed in the upright position.I was also very impressed with the cable management in the wired usb connector. The cable spins up tightly and locks into place (hard to explain but trust me it is very nice). Also the usb receiver plugs into this meaning you only plug in one usb to the back of your computer and you are set for charging and operation.Good batery life and short(ish) charge time.The packaging should win an award!Cons: -Did not come charged at all -***The only problem I had with this device is when I was first trying to get it working I had one small problem. The driver was not working and none of the buttons on the headset did anything. If you have this problem where nothing seems to work (easy to know if you have this problem if the red mic mute LED is not coming on) just exit the driver software and turn off the headset. Then start the driver software and THEN turn on the headset. This worked for me. If this does not work for you try turning the headset off and then back on while the driver software is still running.Overall:A really wonderful product that I highly recommend!!!Driver :[...]

This headphone is pretty good for what it is intended for. I'm not sure I'm hearing the "7.1" but it does give you a sense of sound coming from all directions. I bought this one first but figured I didn't really need the wireless so I returned it and went with the G35. It is essentially the same headset but wired (and it was on sale for eighty bucks). For a computer headset, I don't see the need for a wireless headset since you are sitting next to your computer anyway (for consoles I can see wireless being better).Quality of sound: The drawback is that the sounds are in 16-bit 44.1KHz and I believe only up to 96KHz. This is plenty good and CD-quality. I don't think the mini drivers in this headset can really make 24bit 192KHz sampling shine anyway - like a good amplified studio headset which will cost way more (~$500). I have a Bowers&Wilkins p5 headset I use for two-channel stereo music and the G35 doesn't quite measure up to that headset when listening to music, but I didn't buy this set for music so it doesn't matter to me. But that's a relative measurement, it's better than most headphones you can buy that are under $50 bucks I'd say.Mic: Mic seems to work as intended. There are some voice morphing capabilities, but I'm not really intrigued by it. All my friends are able to hear me clearly and to me that's the only thing that matters. The mic is bendable and retracts into place fine (for now).Connectivity: USB only. So that means it's strictly a PC headset. For those of you who don't understand this concept, I'll explain it a little bit here. That means that the headset has it own DAC (digital to audio converter) built-in and bypasses your sound card. So it doesn't matter if you have a Soundblaster or Turtlebeach or onboard Realtek soundcard, it doesn't use any of that. It will operate as its own and recieve all the digital signal and converts that to analog signals. In other words, you are buying a soundcard + headphone + mic. If you're hoping to use the "quality" sound card you have in your computer, you should get a different headset - like the Razer Tiamat.Comfort: I've used it all day playing FPS and it doesn't bother me. It has a "replacable" head pad if you have a different head shape or what not. The volume on the left cup is handy. I don't liek the G-keys. They are not "customizable" and you are limited to assign somewhat useless command for media applications. It may come useful if you use it for voice morphing shortcuts. I kinda hope it wasn't there because I accidently press on them when I put the headset on or take it off.Wireless: It has good range, probably no more than 30 feet. I didn't really hear any major "delay" and it didn't interfere with my wireless internet signals. I just didnt' see myself straying away from my computer to pay the wireless premium so I exchanged it for the G35. I really liked that Razer Tiamat, but I didn't want to invest in a sound card.I gave it four stars because it does what I want but it is not the "best headset" that is worth the real "retail cost," but I bought it on-sale (the G35). The Razer Tiamat sounds much better, but you have to invest in a good sound card so that's an "added" cost if you don't already have a good sound card.

After 3 Months of regular use.Good1. In game sound. The 7.1 really sounds nice.2. Has a nice well built feel.3. Three configurable controls to fiddle with. I use mine to control Media Player.4. Logitechs software is easy to use and covers all Logitech G series devices.5. Quality music playback when in Stereo mode.6. Mic is very good. Flip up to mute feature rocks.7. 7.1 for movies/TV is nice.8. Controls are well laid out and easy to use. Volume adjust in particular is splendid. Did I mention that the flip up to mute mic feature rocks?\9. Good volume. I like my music and games loud. These do just fine.Bad1. Small. If you have a large head these are gonna be a bit tight. Don't get me wrong the headset themselves are good sized, but the part where your head fits was defiantly designed for smaller people. They seem to be loosening a bit with time so i'm hopeful.2. Small ear cups. Yes I have a big head, but no I don't have big ears. They simply don't fit well on normal man sized ears.(dumb on Logitechs part make them bigger and they fit everyone fine)3. Comfort. The padding and covering on the ear cups is mediocre at best, combined with with the above issues on longer sessions (1.5 hours or so for me) they start to bother you.4. In 7.1 mode if you listen to music while gaming some songs can get extremely muddy. I'm not talking big bass songs, the headset just doesn't like some songs in 7.1. I listen to mostly 70's and 80's rock. This is an issue only when listening to music and a game in 7.1. Switch it back to stereo and no issue at all.5. One pet peeve. Mainly for Logitech if they happen to read this. You don't need a Hold the button down power off switch. Where the button is there is no way you accidentally turn these off. And quit frankly the button is nuts. Sometimes it takes 2 seconds, sometimes it takes 4, and anywhere in between. I seldom get these to turn off on the first try.Neutral1. Wireless. Its works. I've had no real issues. No static and the connection generally holds well to about 40 feet or so. On occasion they have had an issue holding the connection at any range, but this has only happened a couple of times in the 3 months.2. Battery seems good so far. Easily get 4-5 hours out of charge. Time will tell how long it will be able to keep that up. Battery is replaceable.OverallA good gaming headset that is solid for music. Not designed for a head running a 7 1/2 military hat size (usable but not designed). If you have big ears walk away, yes just walk away. I held these in my cart till the price dropped to $70. At that price I am very pleased. If I had paid much more than that they would have gone back based on the comfort factor.

I have to give this a five-star rating, based on my use of previous products. Most especially the Tritton AX720 and the Tritton AX Pros.Here's a little synopsis of my issues with Tritton headphones:Both my Trittons have excessive wires all over the place. Never mind that I can't dial in decent audio with either set. The AX PROs actually sound better than the AX720s, which are brittle and weak-sounding with very muddy bass levels.I hate that you can't get hi-def audio from any SS headphones yet. I can't watch my blurays with headphones on unless I want crappy stereo. By crappy I mean that it's not just IN STEREO, but it sounds hollow and distant, with little to no resonance. Also neither Tritton set accepts BOTH analog and spdif inputs; you need to plug in one or the other (and adjust audio options in control settings), so I would be switching out the input/outputs based on what I needed for best audio choice at any given time, and I am not fond of using just the USB audio drivers. It's ironic that the "lower-end" Trittons perform better with binaural than the actual 6-speaker headset- After trying several other headphones, I was never satisfied with the surroundsound capabilities; those that delivered in that department really failed in fidelity and audio clarity.This was my last-ditch effort in finding decent headphones, and they were on sale for a decent deal so I snatched them up.I'm glad I did.I like being able to switch between 7.1 audio or Dolby stereo on the fly with a mere flick of the switch on the side of the earpiece. For gaming, the 7.1 is reliable and well positioned. For TV shows and most music, I switch the option off. All without having to get up and move inputs around, go to control panel, etc...I was wary about using USB-based audio decoding, but so far it's worked well for me and I have had no hiccups. Playing TF2, CS: S, Batman: Arkham City, Insomnia and a handful of other titles worked great.Even better is they are wireless, so that's just one less cable to clutter up my sitting area! Yes! Some say these are a little heavy, but I haven't noticed much discomfort while wearing them for three hours. I also enjoy being able to walk around my place while listening to a program without tripping over wires or having to take the phones off.The mic is more sturdy and reliable than other headphones I've had. Setup was easy.Audio quality is good-to-great. For other HPs in this category, it's probably the best. I highly recommend tweaking settings in the ADVANCED equalizer in order to get a more pleasing sound. What these phones do it does well, but not top-tier compared to other stereo headphones, even within the price range. But you don't have to compromise much. Bass is balanced, mids are clear and highs are not too screechy. Once again, advanced equalizer settings in the control panel makes a big difference.Overall, I can't really praise these enough. While I can (and usually do) adjust them so they don't, I have noticed this occurring if I just throw them on without thinking twice.The cushions are not stiff; they are very soft, but the placement of the earmuffs may cause a little tension behind the jaw for some, which may feel uncomfortable. Proceed at your own risk!**I owned a wireless headset prior to this one, the ASUS HS-1000w, and it was great for what it did. However, over time and use, the dongle shorted out and part of the headset where the swivel starts began breaking (this is a common occurrence) -- for both the original and the RMA replacement. So I searched for totally new headset as replacement, and I came across Logitech's G930 and F540 and had to decide between the two.Since at the time the F540 was about $150 and the G930 was on sale at $120 ($119.99 when purchased, $117.99 at the time of this writing), the choice was obvious.I have owned the G930 headset for about a week, and here are my thoughts.The package comes with the headset, the dongle, the REALLY COOL rounded charging base (that has inlets that hold the two extra long cables [a WONDERFUL welcome after the obnoxiously short charging cable for the HS-1000w], one for USB and one for USB micro, which plugs into the headset) with its own USB port (which is a REALLY nice feature so I don't have to unnecessarily occupy an extra port to charge and use), and the software CD. The software CD does come with the up-to-date stable software, the same that can be downloaded from the Logtech website.And as an additional note, the USB port on the charging base acts as any regular old USB port, so if I want to charge the headset but use the port on the base for a flash drive or external hard drive or anything else, I have no limits!(...Well, except that I can only use one device in the base at a time.)**[[SEE AMENDMENT AT END OF REVIEW ABOUT BASE]]**The description claims 10 hours of battery, and I have yet to use up all 10 of these, but I will say that I have used it for several hours countless times so far and have yet to hear the "low battery" notification that plays through the headset. What's more, the software gives me a meter and number measurement of how much battery remains or, when charging, how long until fully charged. Very nice!The software allows adjustment of volume, microphone, Sidetone, and treble and bass levels without touching the equalizer, which can be turned on and off. It also has built-in voice morphing with a "voice preview" option and pitch calibration levels, so you deep talkers won't have it throwing virtual question marks at your unexpectedly low voices. The software also has a surround sound mixer, allowing adjustment of the volume levels for each individual speaker. And lastly, the software has customization for the headset's G-keys, allowing each of the 3 buttons to have a wide range of functionality, from voice morphing to controlling music to push-to-talk to allowing you to select specific functions for unlisted applications!Sound Quality:When in stereo mode, the sound quality is fantastic. The bass is just the right amount -- not too much, not too little. The treble is of the same caliber, and even if they were not the appropriate levels, the software that comes with it (actually very well-made software, too, despite what some people have said) has an equalizer to adjust audio levels. Now, I'm not a surround sound aficionado, but when in 7.1 mode, things sound a little like I am in a tin can. After a while I get used to it and can distinguish between the 7 different speakers, but at first it's strange -- and it affects voices as well, so if I am in a game using 7.1 and talking with someone, they are strangely echoey. Nonetheless, the actual sound quality while in 7.1 mode is, just like stereo mode, excellent. I did notice that 7.1 mode seems to have slightly boosted output levels than stereo mode, and have found most of my games' sounds have occasionally peaked, causing some crackling and distortion. This would normally be a problem if irremediable, but turning down the application volume (not the volume of Windows) corrects this. Way back in 2002 when surround sound on computers meant quadraphonic, and Zalman was just getting founded as a company: I created a pair of DIY surround sound gaming headphones by modifying a pair AKG 280 headphones.Since that day I have only played games using surround sound headphones of one sort or another.For the past few years I have used a pair of Turtle Beach HPA2 headphones. They have worked well, and still sound great to this day, except they are simply falling apart from use. I was a bit hesitant to give up my XFI sound card for a USB version of audio, but so far have had no issues. I was also apprehensive about giving up a set of heaphones with 8 individual speakers to one with just two, and Dolby headphone processing.I bought the wired version of the Logitech 7.1 headphones, but returned them when I found the wireless pair weighed almost the same, and weren't much more expensive. I have been using them for a few weeks now, mostly playing Left4Dead2, watching movies, and listening to music.First, the actual audible sound quality. Near perfect in my opinion. The audio is balanced and detailed, the bass doesn't overdrive the rest of the tones, and the mid-range isn't muddy. The multi-band EQ is a great touch that the wired version didn't have, and is great for music, but I didn't find myself enabling it in games.Surround sound quality: Great. The "feel" of the surround sound is amazing, as far as the ability to detect where and how far a sound is coming from. In Left4Dead2 I can call out "smoker at three o-clock" or "charger behind us" without even looking. The only time the positioning seems to get a bit muddy is if something is RIGHT behind you, in which case it sort of sounds like "dead center" instead of "behind center". The surround sound even does pretty good with music, but I find myself turning it off for that. What is nice is changing between surround sound and stereo is a simple hard switch on the headphones, no need to open up a configuration application.Microphone sound quality: Also great. The microphone is top-notch. You can turn on the voice repeat feature and hear it for your self. There are two issues with the microphone though. First, the mic does pick up a lot of outside sounds when your NOT talking. It picks up the smallest mouse click in a quiet room. It does however seem to compensate for loud rooms. At a LAN party it didn't pick up everything and only seemed to pick up voices, however not always my own voice. Second, even if the "side channel" sound some sound from the microphone is always fed back into the headphone signal. Even if you press the mute button on the headphones, if you scratch the surface of the mic you can head it in the audio. And it's and electrical connection too, not a vibration traveling up the headset. It does turn off entirely when the mic is "docked" at the top of the headset. Perhaps Logitech added this so you could hear yourself?Noise isolation: The ear muffs on these are very good at cutting out outside noise. In fact I think Logitech put in the side channel control just so you could head someone nearby talk. This is great at a LAN party where you want to hear the game, but also bad when say someone is trying to get your attention.Comfort: Despite being HUGE, and fairly heavy, the headphones are very comfortable, and I can wear them for hours besides one issue: They push on the arms of my glasses. Which many headphones do, but due to the noise isolation foam being pretty strong, it can start to wear on me.Battery life: So far I have been able to game for many hours or more on the headphones with no issue, I never measured the exact amount. The manual says it will warn you before they stop working, however the one time I did run them to zero the warning was only seconds before they shut down. But since you can just plug in the USB and keep playing while charging, this really isn't an issue. They are wireless headphones 99% of the time. The do seem to take a few hours to charge. The software keeps a good readout of exactly how much battery you have left, and I often keep it open on a second monitor. The charging cord is long enough to work as a headphone cord.Range: I was able to walk to the kitchen and get a drink without loosing audio., about 150ft and though four walls.Cons and improvements:-Side buttons could do a lot more. You can get some plugins but they have to be hard-coded and aren't very flexible.-There is no real quick way to switch between USB audio for the headphones, and on-board audio for my speakers. I used a shortcut program and the side buttons to switch between them, but there could be a more elegant solution. For example, I would like it if I actually power off the headphones, the Logitech program could detect it and switch back to my secondary preferred sound output.-More warning about impending battery failure would be great. When mine failed it was in the middle of a gauntlet event where I had zero time to find my charger cable

I was a Plantronics fan for the longest time. Never bought any other headset and was a Razer fan for the mouse and keyboard. Come time for some upgrades and I went Logitech for EVERYTHING. Got myself a mouse (wireless), keyboard, and this headset. I thought $100, this ought to be good. Afraid not.First headset came in the mail and was amazing. Sound quality was solid, voice quality decent, and SO comfortable. I could wear these for hours on end and not even notice. That's where the problems occured.I found myself at the keyboard on my days off for about 6-8 hours. At first I thought, I don't really need this to be wireless so I plugged the gigantic (as in LONG) USB plug in and straight to my computer. Thought process was that I could charge and use at the same time. Wrong.Apparently this headset uses up too much juice faster than it recharges. Weird. I thought it was a fluke but turns out not so much.I would experience extremely LOUD and shattering squealing sounds from the headset before it would turn itself off. This is actively charging. Turns out the battery kept dying and that was it's way of saying, "Put me to bed". This happened a dozen times before I said "F this" and sent it back assuming the battery was faulty.I received a second headset and all was well. I ran it multiple days with no problems while on vacation and even decided to instead plug it directly to a wall outlet instead of the computer. Thought process... more juice and more reliability. Nope.After about four or five days... same problem. The headset squeals and then turns off. I thought the first time it happened was a fluke. It didn't happen again for a couple days, then started up yet again. Now I'm getting constant deaths from this thing right in the middle of something important (recording a video, playing a game, etc). It's frustrating.I went out and looked for some support. Tried the Logitech forums and made two threads. Nothing. I did find a near hundred people in various places with the exact same problem. Initially people were assuming it was driver related, but for the second go, I didn't even install the Logitech drivers. I actually wiped all drivers off the computer and used the motherboard audio driver instead. Makes absolutely no difference.So... I'm at a loss. I don't think I can even return this a second time... but then if I did what would I do? Get another one? Seems to me that Logitech needs to fix this issue and do it NOW before more people have this problem. The gaming organization I'm in now found these for less than $100 and were all wanting to buy them up. I told them about my problem and they canceled their purchases. I can't imagine that's what Logitech wants.If someone knows a solution to this problem, do let me know. But as far as I'm concerned... buyer beware.

I can't really say anything that others haven't said before.The headset is very comfortable, and I have a biggish head. Any complaining about it being tight either have a gigantic sized head, stewie griffin shaped head or dumbo ears. If your ear (or any part of it) gets under the actual foam that rests on your skin then you're in for problems because it sits securely on the face as it's supposed to (so sound doesn't come in or leak out). Your ear is supposed to fit on the inside of the cup (in a huge rectangular space). The cups swivel so there's really no reason to not be able to set them squarely over the ears.It feels well constructed and I can't really imagine how a certain reviewer claimed his/hers snapped. You'd have to be really rough for any part of this thing to "snap". The swivel mechanism seems to be metal - I haven't dissected mine to find out. I would say though, that if you treat it like a piece of electronic equipment and not yank it off the head, bend it out of shape, pull or tug at it, I'm not sure how they could break. But this is coming from someone who has no scratches on his 2 year old ex-smartphone (and it isn't skinned or in a case or using a screen protector) so maybe I'm just careful with my stuff.What I really like about these are the versatility. I HATE being tied down by cables when it comes to earphones/headsets. I have, for a very long time moved on to wireless. I use bluetooth with my cell phones and tablet and have some bluetooth headsets that since Windows 7 don't work very well despite the newest drivers being installed; which is why I decided to search for a gaming wireless headset. Before these I owned some Plantronics wired and they were pretty great but this really takes the cake. The bluetooth headsets I use (dell and motorola) can't hold a light to the distance and clarity of the G930 and the only thing they really hold over these are that they work with more than just computers.I have no complaints about the stereo sound - it sounds pretty good on my system and the surround is the best I've heard from any headphone, period. Of course I'm no Pro at "audio" so maybe I'm missing something.I use these to 1. play WoW 2. voice chat on skype, gtalk, vent, etc. 3. listen to music at blaring levels and 4. listen to whatever I'm watching on my PC....assuming I don't feel like using my speaker system for 1, 3 and 4.Performance-wise I have no complaints either. They're simply great. I haven't really played with programming the GKeys for gaming yet, I use them to control WMP. The voice morphing is neat but not something I'll use often. I love the clarity of the mic - and boy is it clear. I will never buy non-noise cancelling gear again. It's great to be able to chat with confidence to people and not worry about my friends burping loudly or doing anything else embarrassing in the next room.They do seem to clock in at around 10 hrs of use, but I'm sitting 3 feet from the dongle. I'm assuming more distance away can wear it faster so people 10+ feet away may get a bit less juice. The trick is to charge it up fully and use it till it dies or is about to die, then the software will get a true reading of the battery level (something that is true of wireless mice as well).I do have my worries...one problem with the Plantronics is that the headband got loose over time. I doubt it will happen with these, it's very solid feeling and on a metal 'base' so there are no plastic pegs to break or loosen, but there's always a possibility.I also dislike that the ear cups don't seem to be replaceable which means that when they wear and literally tear (or accidentally, without the wear part), it's on to a new pair. There doesn't seem to be a replaceable battery so in the end it seems that maybe Logitech has set a "lifecycle" of about 4-5 years which for the price isn't terrible but it's going to be a hard sell for some people who like keeping their stuff for 5+ years. I paid $50 for the Plantronics and they survived for 4 years so it sounds about right (in the end, the cable did these in).Can things go wrong with it? I'm sure. It's wireless and anything wireless can give trouble. If your house/apt. is saturated with wifi signals I'm sure there could be an issue. If you have really thick or true cement/stone/brick walls I'm sure you won't get the huge area of connectedness that others get. But that's not really the point, imho. It's to lose the wires. The freedom to get up and go someplace else in your home without having to remove them. The ability to sit 10+ feet away from your 50inch LED TV that you're playing WoW on and not interrupt your family members in their respective areas with speakers. And for these and other creative reasons, they work and work well.

I received my set on Apr 29, 2012 and this unit has served me well.PROS:-Excellent gaming surround sound.-I am getting about 7 hours between charges.-Range is as advertised, if not better. Hadn't realized it until I was writing this review, but I had never taken the set to a point where it went out of range. Then again, I live in a one story bungalow. None the less, the signal easily goes through these old plaster walls of mine without a drop. For this review, I went to my basement to see if I would lose the signal. I did, but that's about 50 feet, a closed kitchen door and a floor away. They definately have the range specified.-I am not an Audiophile, but I enjoy my music using this set (Listening to Supertamp "Crime of the Century" as I write this). I do listen using them alot, but once again..I'm not an audiophile. If you're not critiquing whether or not the latest remaster of your favorite album was an improvement, you will be A-OK with the 930. I can hear no distortion (to me that means, it still sounds good) even with the bass maxed out in the software.-Charge while using. A BIG plus for me. Just plug 'em in and keep on playing/listening while charging. The wiring is quite lengthy. The time between charges is so generous you WILL forget to charge them up at times. No problem!!! Just don't walk away with them hooked up!!!- Comfortable. Very light, but not "cheap." I wear eyglasses (you should have known that already...I'm listening to Supertramp...No spring chicken ya know). Very comfortable during very long listening/gaming sessions. This is not my first headset, but it is DEFINATELY the most comfortable.- On set volume control wheel. Very nice!!! Large...easy to access. Not like others I have owned that have you searching for that tiny thumb-wheel on the wiring. This is a great feature.CONS:- The on/off switch is hard to press. Nit picking, and probably by design so it's not accidently turned off. Could be called a feature.Look. I honestly tried and thought hard about "The CONS" and can't find anything beyond that. I WANT to tell you the BAD in my opinion, but there is nothing I can think of beyond that...and again...I have used them for 3 months.If they died tomorrow (God forbid), I would be unhappy, but I like them so much I would buy another pair hoping that the second pair would last. I can't recommend them highly enough.I have the software installed, but only use it to see how much time is left on my charge. I have fiddled around with the available equalizer/voice morph etc., but I just keep everything on the default settings. The help files (online manual essentially) in the installed software are in depth and informative.I don't MMO so I can't review the microphone, other than to say that Microsoft Voice Recognition understands me unlike my ex-wife ;). I have not programmed the keys and do not intend to. None the less, for this review I used the pre-programmed keys to control Windows Media Player from a distance of about 30 feet and they were able to control the program without issue.Buy it. Heck, if price is an issue, gamble on a refurbished one that is warrented if available. These things are that good!!!! Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound

I purchased a pair of these headphones on Black Friday, primarily to use for online gaming. Initially, the idea sounded great - No cords, simply flip-up boom mic, etc.When I got them, I was initially very happy - They seemed to do everything that I hoped they would with a few minor annoyances.As I've kept using them and the glamour has faded, I'm realizing that those minor annoyances have become much more of a pain and it's not really worth putting up with the hassles anymore.Pros:The battery life is pretty decent - It seems like I was getting 5-6 hours of play time out of them on wirelessThe sound is quite good - I was quite happy with how they sounded and had no problems with clarity, etc. Maybe not quite as clear as I had hoped, but OK.The range is exceptional - I could almost walk to the other end of our (large-ish) house and they kept working.The G keys are very handy for listening to music - Being able to easily move between songs is quite nice, especially shuffling through a large music library.Cons:Weight. These things are very, very heavy and you feel it bearing down.These 'phones are also very large - My kids can't use them at all. If you have a small head, look elsewhere.Reliability is poor - It seems like they often flake out on me - Sound goes away, they start to squeal loudly in my ears, etc. This happens when wireless or plugged in. Powering them off and back on usually works, but sometimes I have to hold the power button down to "reset" them. (And, I'm like 2' from the transmitter with clear line-of-sight, so there isn't any interference)The G-Key volume control works very sporattically - Not a biggie for me since I use a Logitech keyboard (which I LOVE!) and use it's volume controls.When plugged in, the micro-USB plug on the supplied cord seems like it's very invasive and isn't placed well. It gets in the way and feels like it makes the cord hang strangely.Lack of an effective auto off - It seems that if I leave the headphones unplugged but turned on they will drain the battery down to nothing and die. It's a hassle to have to to continually plug them in when I'm done. It almost feels like I spend so much time plugging and unplugging that it's not worth it.All in all, not my best Black Friday purchase. I've finally just switched back to my Creative HS-800 Fatal1ty Gaming Headset that I've used for many years. Sure, it doesn't have the convenience of wireless or G Keys, but they are comfortable, light, sound great and... well.. Work!

Well, Ive had this headset for a couple months now. I must say, I really like the headset, its not super heavy, and it fits decently well on my head. I love the fact that its wireless as well. the sound is pretty good and it certainly made my gaming experience much better.however, if it was only the headset, I would have given it 5/5 stars as the price is great for such a headset... the thing that really kills it is the fact that the software you use to control everything about the headset is a steaming pile of crap. the software that comes on the CD in the package is not even worth installing, instead go to the official website and get the most up to date drivers and controller, that would solve the majority of your headaches, but thats just switching from something that both doesnt work and gets in your way, to something that doesnt work; at least then it wont get in your way... as much...the ability to customize the programmable buttons depending on what game you are playing is useless, as it either does not work, or it actually resets. I cant tell you how many times the software says that my headset is fully charged, I unplug it, and get only half an hour of battery life... then combined with the number of times that my programmable buttons were just plain not working. I think Ive just come to accept that the volume wheel just doesnt work, even if it worked perfectly fine the first week I had the headset. the software is inaccurate at measuring battery life, and incapable of properly assigning functions to the programmable keys.one problem I kept on running into was the fact that my headset would start buzzing, it starts off barely noticeable, and then it just grows till it feels like its stabbing itself into your skull, shortly after, the headset will just die. apparently its a problem with the battery/software. as the software is incapable of properly detecting the battery level of your headset half the time, normally, it would beep when there is approximately one hour left of battery, then automatically shut off when the charge gets too low. unfortunately it doesnt always catch the low battery charge. I think the buzzing is caused by the low voltage the battery gives right before its not enough to properly function. so, when it starts buzzing, immediately turn it off, doesnt matter if its plugged in or not, TURN THE HEADSET OFF, which you can do by having it unplugged, and holding the power button down for about 5 seconds, when you let go, it should turn off. after that, plug (or replug) the headset in and keep it off for a minute or two to let the battery get enough charge to properly function, then when you turn it back on, the buzzing should be gone.so, in the end, great headset, light, comfy, and good sound; ruined by the steaming pile of crap software that they claim will help you control your headset.

OMG.. i have had tons of headsets in the past as i am an avid gamer and music lover. I recently purrchased the Plantronics audio 995 or whaterer it was called. got it home and it was junk. 4 hour charge time adn you couldnt use it while charging. didnt even turn it on so i went back to best buy and picked up this MONSTER of a machine.SOUND QUALITY-----just pulling it out of the box i got chills as to how well it felt. popped in the dvd and ran through set up wich was very easy.. then i connected it to the Charge base / wireless tower. (wireless and charger cable from one usb port? OMG YES) turned it on and clicked the "Expirence 7.1 surround button"Let me tell you... i didnt know music could sound this good. The intro and demo music gave me Goosebumps at LEAST 5 times.. immediatly boppin my head to the random music that was probably made just for the tutorial. So i immediatly started playing some of my favorite songs and i heard a little part of a song i had never heard before and it sounded like it was comming from my kitchen and scared the crap out of me and i turned around real fast thinking someone had broke in my house LOL.Currently listening to some heave bass techno songs testing out its high and low limits. My computer volumes is max, my media player volume is max, and my headset volume button is at max... NO DISTORTION.. I wanted to purchase a good quality wireless headphones for listening to music and/or gaming. I expected top of the line quality hardware and software when i was paying above $150 for this. Unfortunately i am quite disappointed with the overall experience after 1 years of use. Please read on;Pros:Good sound qualityit has surround sound.Cons:Not a real 7.1 surround sound deviceFrequent audio drops, wired or wirelessInterference on 2.4 Ghz band with other wireless devices (routers !!)Poor battery performancepoor software driver qualityFirst of all this is not a true 7.1 surround sound device, surround sound is generated by software emulation and sent to two drivers. This however doesnt work well all the time. Occasionally sound comes stronger on the right side, unless you restart whatever you are listening. Very same emulation/usb drivers also faults, causes audio disconnects, either when there is another 2.4Ghz band device nearby that interferes or another (usb) device in your PC takes an interrupt precedence and causes a CPU spike. Regarding sound quality, it is ok, but it is not awesome. I have owned a Sony headphone (Sony MDR-V6 Monitor Series Headphones) that had better sound quality then this device, it has worked 13 years, I am quite sure they were cheaper. As a comparison they had stronger base sound, cleaner and crisper meds and treble than this headphone.Now lets move on to the most annoying problem of this headphones; On Windows 7 64bit, when connected to a USB2 port, including the latest drivers from logitech website (date 8/12/2012), device will randomly disconnect (sound will drop) and connect back again. The problem happens even when it is connected and charging. Originally I have attributed this problem to a driver bug but after updating the drivers over the course of the last year problem has continued to happen. Logitech forums are full of people complaining about the audio drop problem since August 2010. Unfortunately this headphones are using ever crowded 2.4Ghz range, and interfering with wireless routers. There is no way to identify which channel the device functions (it comes receiver/headphones paired to use a 2.4Ghz channel between 1 to 11). If your neighbours router is using the same channel with your headphones, you are out of luck (unless of course you go ask them to change it).I should have returned it instead of waiting for a driver update.This is the second time I am disappointed with Logitech product. My logitech harmony remote's LCD screen (most expensive version again) has also faulted after 1 year of use (w/o any drop). At this point I am not sure whether the company's products are really good quality.I'd say stay away from this headphones, look for something else.

The headset itself, when it is working, is actually really good. The problem is that the drivers have a conflict with USB 3 motherboards, which is a lot of motherboards and logitech doesn't seem to be able to fix it. That or they just don't care!Sometimes you turn your computer on and the headset wireless dongle picks up and all is mostly well. I'll explain the mostly well in a moment. Other times you turn on your computer and the wireless connector isn't recognised. I have found that plugging the dongle into other ports and restarting the computer sometimes has the system suddenly recognise the headset again and you can use it - mostly... Other times I have just had to re-install the software to get the system to recognise the USB wireless dongle...When the headset is usable it sounds great and works a charm while it's working. But it has a tendency to simply drop out and turn itself off (some people on the Logitech forums are complaining that there is a time-out that activates but I can't confirm that that is a problem with the Headphones turning off.) So in the middle of a game suddenly your headset isn't working... after a lot of messing around and reading forums I found that an older set of drivers is better, but not 100%.In general - Don't buy this headset if you have USB 3 on your motherboard as the fix logitech suggests doesn't always work - (moving the usb port as far away as you can from the USB 3 port didn't help me.)Don't buy this Headset if you have other wireless devices in the 2.4mhz range... My phones are in the 5 mhz range and are ok but is seems that my wireless modem might be the reason the wireless dongle just drops out so often. Also if you have a motherboard that uses Realtek audio then that MIGHT be part of the conflict as I have noticed a lot of people on the forums that are having problems are using realtek onboard audio... I'm going to try a sound card so I can get away from the onboard audio and see if that helps.While it's a great quality headset when it's working the problems are so annoying i wish i'd never brought it.

Before purchasing these from Amazon I did a lot of looking around and I tested a lot of headsets (mainly because I've never owned a really nice headset before) from stores and read a lot of reviews. I ended up coming to the conclusion of buying these firstly because I have always been a huge fan of Logitech's work. I own a Logitech wireless surround sound, a G15 keyboard, a G-Series mouse, and various other Logitech products, and not once have they done me wrong.The comfort factor of these head phones amazed me, they are nice and snug and really soft, they adjust very easily and they are a lot lighter than I expected.The construction thus far seems to be very sturdy, I have yet to have any issues in that department.The 7.1 surround sound feature on this headset is so much better than I expected, I can actually hear more sounds and noises in games and movies than I ever could on my actual 5.1 surround sound, and after playing with the advanced equalizer for a while I now have it dialed in perfectly.I haven't changed the G-buttons much yet because I like to listen to music while I game ad have control over it easier, and since I have the G15 keyboard which has 18 macro buttons on it I really don't need to fiddle with them much. Never-the-less they work perfect so far. The volume control roller is perfect located for easy quick volume changes.Now onto my absolute favorite feature of this headset...the Microphone. This thing is 100% perfect for what I use this headset for, gaming at night with my wife asleep in the the same room as my computer. Now before the G930 I avoided Skype and teamspeak and vent at night because I always woke my wife up because I had to talk so loud for people to hear me. During the day I have the Mic gain turned down to about 40-50% for normal talking while gaming, at night I can turn this bad boy up to 100% and I can practically whisper and everyone hears me perfectly. I was absolutely flabbergasted that I could talk so quiet and be heard without someone having to say "Sorry what was that? I couldn't hear you." And this is with a group of 5-10 people on Skype so there is always more than 1 person talking at a time.One last note would be that I don't have to switch over to my speakers when I don't want to wear the headset, I can simply lay these down on the desk in front of me while charging and turn the volume up, they get ridiculously loud.I would highly recommend this product to any avid gamer.

Summary, this headset is great. Great sound, great mic, comfortable right out of the box, surround sound still amazes me! Would definitely refer them to a friend, as they were referred to me by a friend.Pros:- Wireless. Great range, I can hear people clearly and they can hear me. Good range, I can hit the fridge (20ft) with no change in quality.- Battery. Charges in about 2 hours to get 8-10 hours use on 7.1 surround. Only had them for a couple of weeks, so can't comment on lifetime.- Sound is great. I started to play with the equalizer a bit, but decided to just leave it off.- They are medium weight, I would say. After a few hours of use, I do start to feel them a bit, but nothing an adjustment doesn't fix. No head squeezing our headaches that I have had with other headsets.- G keys - Nice feature, but I don't currently use them. May be good for listening to music, next and previous song, pause and play, etc.- Surround works great.- Build quality - very well built, they don't feel cheap like they will break.- Mic - Very crisp and clear, others noticed a big change for the better the day I got them.- Voice changer - Neat little ability built into the software, can be fun to play with.- Noise cancellation - not like the Bose set I have for air travel, but very good to the point that it could be a con! I had music playing on a fairly low volume and the wife had a whole conversation with herself when I first got them. When she realized I hadn't heard her, she tapped me on the shoulder and I hadn't even realized she was talking. We had a laugh about it...but I don't think she was thrilled!Cons:- Sound - depending on what you are looking for, it can take some troubleshooting to get everything just right. I stick with the default, so it wasn't really an issue for me.- Weight - This can be an issue after several hours of use, but as stated above, a little adjusting and it is comfortable again for a while.This was an upgrade from a $20 set of on ear Logitech headset and mic. The difference was huge. Highly recommend to anyone.Amazon had the item to me quickly, safely, and I was happy!

This is the best headset I've ever head. But considering I've only ever had worthless Turtle beaches..we can see why. I can say this is probably one of the best, little more "intense gamer" headset for a pretty low price. And also comes with a few more features other than just sound, like some competing products.PROS: Great sound, basically noise canceling. Amazing comfort. After a few uses the headset will mold to your head and fit perfectly Steel frame. So you know its not going to just break when you stretch it to put it on your head. Especially nice for people with big heads. The mic has great quality, and does a great job of picking up just your voice instead of other noises in the room. I'm not saying it's going to cancel out blasting music, but little things it will. Easy to change settings. Just install their software, and you can change anything from the volume of the mic, to the how you sound. I mean you can sound like a robot, zombie, a man with a deep voice, or a little girl. Really fun to play with and confuse friends.Not really sure if this is a pro or con, for being a wireless head set I'd look at it as a pro but, the head set will last about 2 and a half to 3 hours on battery. And takes about 2 hours to fully charge. The software you install will tell you how much longer till fully charged, and how much longer the battery will last. And if you're not paying attention it will beep at you. And not just a minute before it's about to die. It'll beep at you about 10-15 min before, so you have time to plug it in.CONS: The dongle to plug in your computer is a bit flimsy and poorly made. I've had to tape mine because its about to break. Not very convenient if you're using a laptop. The programmable G keys are not very programmable. I can open iTunes...and change a song, but that's about it. It's a little big when you have it on, and makes you look kind of funny.I love the product and have no regrets buying it. I strongly recommend it to people who are gaming because the surround sound is beautiful and the mic works fantastic. I use it for when I'm playing my MMO's to talk to people.

I bought this a few months ago, and I just now threw mine in the trash. When it worked, it was like a dream, which is the only reason I don't give it one star, but problems were many, and ever increasing, until they culminated in an unusable product. First, this did not work well out of the box, after installation of drivers from the enclosed CD, it worked somewhat, and had a nice control interface, where you could adjust aspects of your sound to your hearts content, and save profiles to switch between. The headset still didn't work well with many modern programs under Windows 7. Some research online yielded the recommendation that a new software package be downloaded and installed for this headset, which I managed to do after some work. Afterwards, it worked a bit better, but there was no longer the nice interface where you could adjust different settings, or at least I couldn't easily find it, and had lost interest in spending too much time digging into how to fine tune this headset.As many reviewers have stated, this headset would frequently just put itself on standby when I didn't want it to, most commonly when there was a lull in sound, but sometimes, and increasingly, just whenever it seemed to randomly feel like it. In the end, it had gotten to the point where it would just be a war between the headset and me pushing the button to get it out of standby a second later, at which point this headset went in the trash. I now use a comparatively much cheaper headset, and am much happier for it.The range of this headset is a bit disappointing. I couldn't do much more than leave my office, and it would cut out. Using this headset for a conference call was out of the question, if you ever wanted to visit the kitchen during it. Why is a house-wide range so hard for a $170 headset, when my far cheaper six-headset telephone and answering system works fine when I'm in the neighbor's yard?You can mute this headset in most cases by pushing a button, or flipping the microphone up, which is a nice enough feature, but it turns out that this is controlled by software that is not all that it could be. For some programs, and notably GoToMeeting, the program is allowed to hijack the headset's mute control, so that you cannot mute through the headset controls at all, though it shows itself as on mute with the little red led. I found myself making all sorts of noise, on mute I thought, while everyone on the meeting heard it, until they eventually complained.This product appears to be in alpha test status, and I'm very unhappy that Logitech has my $170, and I got an unfinished headache of a product for a few months, before I was forced to throw it away.

Ok so long story short, I bought this headset around two years ago. Typically when you see 2 years ago, you tend to hear "THIS STINKS!" or "IT BROKE". Now I will tell you a bit about this headset and my story.So yes, my headset did have an issue around year 1. However, I called up Logitech Support. And they offered to mail me a new one straight up not questions asked, I just have to mail my old one. They even offered me a discount code of 20% off their store for an apology! That is customer support, which frankly most companies have forgotten...The buttons on the side are amazing. Customization and a quick push to talk are cool. I use these headsets all day and they are my primary sound output. Most people think the 7.1 surround sound is a gimmick...No...it's not...The bass is so booming and crisp that when I play movies it feels like an Imax experience sometimes.Enough talking lets break down the numbers:Look and Feel 9/10-"fake" leather ear cups can be a hassle sometimes on a hot summer day, but are comfy enough that I am not constanly taking them off every 10 minutes. The cups fit over my ears to make a snug and comfortable fit as well. The slick gloss and matte finish mix is just drop dead gorgeous. Top that off with red accents make it a perfect fit.Sound Quality 10/10-There was an issue that Logitech addressed with some sound quality issues. In about 2 weeks after purchase, they corrected the issue and provided a proper patch. Since then, the sound has never been better. My voice is said to be "realistic" at times, and as mentioned the sound from the cans is crystal. They also include a side app to modify your voice into a troll, robot, etc. That always makes vent conversations fun =).Wireless 9/10-I went down three floors in my apartment and outside and still had intermittent signal. Enough said. This will reach anywhere reasonably near your computer dongle.Battery 9/10-YOU CAN CHARGE AND PLAY! Amazing feature, and issue of many other headsets. When I am in the middle of a dungeon or game I am not knocked off commission. Just wire them down and we are good to go. The cable is roughly 10-15 FT as well so if you have a issue getting to the box hopefully that eliminates it. Battery lasts for about 9-10 hours without a charge but I have experienced longer times when I don't have much sound or talking. Device also alerts you of low battery so you can prepare yourself. Battery is also replaceable, you can order new ones from Logitech.comCustomer Support 10/10- US based customer support, friendly reps. Understand my concerns and helped me. They are an amazing company and from now on I am a logitech freak. The fact they gave me a apology discount is even better!Overall 10/10Price is not an issue, yes it costs more but you get what you pay for. I bought these at FULL retail, and I would do it again. By far the best headsets I have ever have. Thanks logitech for such an amazing product. Buy these, you will not regret it.

The short version: Great sound quality, easy to use, decent range, ok battery life, mic works well enough, acceptably durable.------------------------Pros:Sound quality- I am picky when it comes to headphones. I often buy $100+ headphones and these didn't dissapoint. Great for gaming or watching movies with surround sound, almost as good for music (I listen to everything from classical to classic rock to hip-hop). Very good bass, solid mids and clear highs.Value- The wired headphone aspect of these is enough to justify the price, the wireless feature and the mic make it a good buyComfortable- I have worn these for hours at a time with no problem. Good weight, stay on well enough (starting to slide when I tilt my head but they have been heavily used for about a year)Customizable- there are volume controls and a mic mute button plus 3 customizable buttons (get some free logitech software to make customization easy)Durable- These things have taken a beating, with 30+ hours of use every week these things are holding up impressively well. They are finally starting to slip a little after about a year of use, but still function as well as ever.Volume- not the loudest headphones ever, but they do a good job of keeping external sound out (note: these are not "noise cancelling" headphones)Cons- battery life could be better. I typically get about 4-6 hours of use per charge. At least the charging cable is long enough to allow use as regular headphones/headsetMic sensitivity- pics up every noise. If I'm on skype I have to have my sound through the headphones and not my speakers. If I use this headset in the same room as my roommate everyone can hear him twice as if he were wearing both his headset and mine.Long range connectivity- the range is not as far as I would have liked, if you go farther than 15ft the sound begins to cut out and the headset will restart itself (unmuting itself in the process) and playing the mute/unmute notification noise over skype/ventrilo each time.Overall worth the money and a great headset.

First of all - Sound Quality. This IS the best sound quality for gaming next to Plantronics Commanders, Audio Technica ATH-AD700, and Sennheiser products. I owned the Logitech g35's and I believe the bass quality was better wired, and I have received numerous comments that the microphone was better on my old g35's.Second, CHEAP QUALITY. I had to buy this because my g35's broke. There's a piece where the screws are above the earpieces that broke THE EXACT same way on both sides after 1 year of use. Of course logitech claims it as "USER ERROR" even though it's an obvious flaw in their production. I bought a Square Trade warranty in case these break.Third, the price. The price/performance of Logitech headsets is GREAT. Audiotechnica AD700's are next in line ($100, but no mic, so get a nice mic +$20) Logitech does a great job of 7.1 surround sound which I absolutely love watching movies, listening music too as well as gaming. The sound quality is just amazing. There is a stereo to surround switch that never gets used, not sure why it's there, but it's a good way to show the difference of 2.1 to 7.1.The battery, most important of all. I see people bitching about it. I have owned this for almost 30 days now. I game for 7-8 hours it will last. Even when it runs low it gives you different beeps. The cord is long, so I just plug in and play. I have 1 problem though. there's a slight "Zezezeez" sound of static in the background when it's plugged in. That could be because of my USB station that I have extended from my PC, but it is powered and has a lot of amperage. Static sound is always there when charging, barely noticed unless you are browsing.Wireless capabilities: I went outside and walked out about 100ft. It has the same range as my wireless router. After a certain length they just cut out. The wireless is AMAZING with 2.4 ghz. I don't have any interference problems, or random static when wireless.So, overall I have this 3 stars. Cheap build quality like the Logitech g35's I owned, static when charging, loss of microphone quality compared to the wired brother (g35). Pro's: Amazing sound for the price, great wireless capabilities, comfortable.

I received these for the holidays and was immediately jazzed. I've used them on average for 6-8 hours each day since 12/25/2012 and could not be more pleased. The sound quality is excellent, I'm told I'm clean and crisp and clear on the other end over Skype, they're comfortable, and I can wander from my office to my kitchen and keep rockin' the tunes the entire time.PROS:* Incredibly comfortable for long periods of heavy use* Wonderful sound -- I play mostly games and the surround sound adds an incredible depth to my games.* Fits over my ears AND glasses, no problems* The Logitech software makes it easy* to use and the included voice morphing is really funCONS:* The included driver CD did *not* work with my Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I already own other Logitech gaming products and the software on the CD was older than my current install, but the current install didn't recognize the headset following the setup instructions. I had to download the latest version and update manually to get everything working.* The boom mike is nice, but does not stay up in the mute position. A little more tension on the pivot would solve this nicely.* BIGGEST PROBLEM HERE: Until yesterday the headset simply would not reconnect when I rebooted my computer. I had to remove the dongle, reinsert, turn the headset on and off a few times, rinse, lather, and repeat to get it working. Every day. I was getting close to returning it until I figured out the solution (see below).IF YOUR HEADSET STOPS CONNECTING AFTER YOU REBOOT, TRY THIS:Open the Logitech gaming software. It's probably already running, just click the icon on your system tray. The headset should show up in the list, and if so, that's great. Still no sound though, and the lights are all blinking, no connection, etc. To fix that, fire up an app that produces sound. Go to YouTube, fire up Winamp, whatever. Start some sound playing. THEN, and only then, turn on the headset. It'll connect right away and work just fine.If Logitech would simply *mention* this little quirk in their documentation, I'd give this 5 stars. Truly an awesome product once you figure out the little things.

11/26/11 Update: Ventrilo PTT key now works very nicely. You can set up a standard keyboard key to PTT from the keyboard, and a G-Key to PTT from the headset when you are AFK. I have used the headset for more than 1 year now, a minimum of 3x3hr sessions per week on Ventrilo and a few hours a week on Skype. The headset has performed perfectly. Upgraded the rating to 5-stars which applies if you are purchasing these to game and use Ventrilo.7/5/12 Update: I've used this headset now for nearly two years, same usage pattern, and it still feels and functions as new. Normally I'd have concerns about the life of built-in rechargeable batteries, but this headset just plain continues to work. Even if/when the battery ultimately fails, it can still be used as a corded headset. This is a good one :)[original review follows, edited to show PTT now works.]First off, the G930 is physically a nice headset. Adjustable, comfortable, not too heavy compared to other full-sized, circumaural headphones. I'll leave full judgement on the quality of sound to others, since these older ears are no longer qualified to critique. But I *can* say you get clear, soft or loud sound from them :)Ventrilo 3.0.5 Push to Talk (PTT)=================================The only reason I'm writing a "Day 1" review (which is normally not worth much lol) is to note a key advertised feature that does not work. The reason I bought these headphones vs several others was the three G-Keys, and their ability to send commands to my PC while I am physically away from the keyboard. Specifically, the advertisement that Ventrilo "Push to Talk" was supported. It is not. [as of 3rd quarter 2011, this feature works very well].The G-Keys work with a drop-down, limited LIST of applications, ie., Windows Media Player, iTunes, Winamp, PowerDVD, WinDVD, and the G930 software itself. Ventrilo 3.0.5 (app & version number) is also listed, and a listed action for this app is "Push to Talk". I checked all those things before I bought, but after an otherwise pleasant hour with Logitech support in the Philippines, the function does not work, it is a known issue, and "they will get back to me when there's further information". [It's meaningful to note that Logitech support *did* get back to me several months later to notify me that the PTT feature now worked.]Logitech G-Keys - What is Expected from a Brandmark===================================================The other thing you should know is this: When Logitech mentions "G-Keys", that word invokes the functionality of EVERY other Logitech product that has "G-Keys". PC gamers know the term. G-Keys can be programmed to send any key, key combination, or string with one key-press as if it were typed, very quickly, via the keyboard. The "G"930's G-Keys do NOT work that way. Each of the few listed apps has only a short list of pre-determined command choices. This important difference is obscured, no doubt intentionally, in Logitech's limited literature.Other Observations==================Range: 40' seems a fair estimate of range vs the advertised range of other products. So I get a little more range than bluetooth, and arguably half what I get from, say, Sennheiser RF Headphones (100' "open air" advertised). At the edge of signal loss, the headset becomes slightly directional, ie, you can at times re-acquire or lose the signal. This is pretty much standard in my experience.Environment: My G930 needs to operate in a "radio-noisy" and highly metallic environment (lots of gear, transmitters, metal in/on exterior walls), and it performs as well as any RF devices I have used here.Ergonomics: Pretty good, with some "buts". All the keys placed on one ear piece is a good decision, but crowding can lead to indvertant button presses when picking up and donning the headset. Choosing the left ear piece was a good choice, but left-handed mousers will have some adjustments. OTOH, the G-Keys don't have much - er, any - practical gaming function, so this isn't an issue.The "Power On" key implementation is unusual, and very poorly defined. The best I can tell, to turn the device off, hold the button in for 3 seconds (not 5), and if it changes to blinking green when you release it, you have successfully shut it off. If it doesn't, hold the key a little longer next time lol.I'll be back with updates when I have used the device long enough to know it. Yes, I'm keeping it, yes I like Logitech products, and I'm hopeful eventually the G-Keys will eventually be real G-Keys. (As of 11/11 they are not.)10/20/10 Update:================I originally posted these two as workarounds for PTT. While they are no longer required, they may still prove useful:1) Very Cumbersome: When going AFK, switch Ventrilo to "open microphone", and rotate the headset microphone up to mute, down to talk.2) Highly workable: G930 software supports "plug-ins". Fortunately, a User has created one that works not only with Ventrilo (I tested it), but should work with other voicechats. The

Wireless headsets are still a rare breed with just a handful of options to choose from, but the G930 isn't just profiting from lack of competition. It is an all around great piece of hardware that is better than any headset I've owned in nearly all ways, wireless or not. It has excellent sound and recording quality that isn't impacted by the wireless, as is common with anything using Bluetooth and most of the earlier entries in the wireless headset market.The three buttons get the job done for navigating through music while you're adventuring in your bathroom or kitchen or whatever manner of illicit walkabout activities you're engaging in (don't go near a running microwave). Having the buttons definitely shows you their usefulness and quickly leads to the desire for a few more. Three buttons is next, previous, and pause which is the minimum amount for it to be of any use and would be greatly serviced by doubling or tripling that. Next version hopefully.Here's where it loses the star. If it didn't kick such a plethora of asses in other ways it'd lose two stars cause this is a biggy. The joints above the earpieces are really fancy and Robocopeaque and nifty and whatever. They're also structural failure points on a headset widely reported as having a very snug fit. I'm not the most gentle with my stuff but I'm also not club-arming my stuff into walls so I'd label myself in the rough-but-within-reason range.The elbow joint is designed with a middle small connector swivel piece which is what holds it together, and it bears the brunt of abuse. At the connection points eventually a piece of plastic clamping the three parts of the elbow together will break and you will have an elbow joint which no longer has an elbow. After the elbow is dead the only thing holding it together is the wire. Wires are not load bearing.I bought these a year ago and around 6 months ago the left side joint had catastrophic failure as I long predicted. I triaged with an electrical tape splint that at least protected the wire and kept it serviceable. The joint is both a socket and a swivel, and the socket will still kind of allow you to keep a solid feeling to it if backed up with enough tape, but you lose all movement obviously and the headset will not fit tightly anymore.Yesterday the right side failed in the same way. I once again triaged with electrical tape but with both sides gone it's like having giant droopy dog ears that slap against you and fall off if you look down. I triaged with even more electrical tape and created a jury rigged head mount for with a strap for my forehead and another strap that goes behind my head toward the bottom. Between the two ear cups and the straps it once again fits snug as it did before it broke.It's still an awesome headset otherwise but it became too cumbersome to realistically keep using it. To keep it on my head requires massive amounts of electrical tape and an incredible amount of genius level tape engineering on my part. I can't simply "wear" it anymore; I have to mount and dismount it from my head like I'm suiting up to pilot a spaceship. It would be cool if I was but I'm not. I'm piloting my chair at my computer and that's not cool normally and especially not with headgear.Anyway, I ordered a new G930 earlier today. There's no replacement on the market for it yet so my choice is between perfecting my electrical tape head mount or buying a new identical headset. I know I will blow the eblows out of this one too but at least this time I bought 60 yards of heavy duty electrical tape along with it.

I purchased this headset in January 2012 because my home office is directly below my kids room and I often work late at night while listening to music or watching netflix. I was excited about the product as I have enjoyed logitech products for years, and loved the wireless feature as I was coming off a set of Tritton headset where the wires were always getting in the way.Everything was great up until last week when I go to put on my headset, which had seen maybe 10 hours of use since purchased January 10th, and the right muff is dangling from the wires.Now I had read some postings on Logitech's community forums about this exact issue, the critical stress point where the muff joins the headband is secured by a very small(about 1 inch by 1.5 inch trapezoid shaped) and apparently fragile piece of plastic with 4 screw holes. I am an engineer by education, and although i don't design consumer electronics for a living, even I can tell you that this was a poor design implementation in an otherwise solid headset. Using even a cheap metal alloy would have made this 500% more durable and added almost nothing to the weight.I call up their warranty claims center and I am fully expecting to get hassled, told that it's not covered under the warranty because I neglected them, etc, etc. To my amazement I get a friendly rep who takes down my info, has me read some data off the headset, gives me a case number and tells me they will be replaced under the warranty. Shocked, I get the UPS prepaid label, pack the headset up in a box and ship it off. He says they will ship me a new set as soon as my old one arrives.Now this makes me think they have a known issue with the headset, which I hope is fixed with my replacement set. If all goes well i will keep this a 4 star review. If not I will update and adjust it.UPDATE:Warranty turn around time was fantastic, shipping is UPS ground, which it slow, overall it will have taken 11 days from the day I shipped the broken ones, 9 of which was transit time. Will update again later.Update 2:It's now almost 3/4's of a year after Logitech replaces the first pair, and I am revising this to a 4 star rating. They seem to have fixed the issue with the brittle plastic, but I still treat the things like glass. One issue that comes up is Flash support, and balance in the audio, but can be fixed by rolling back to certain versions of flash. I use them for business calls all the time using google talk, audio is always clear. There is a drop out every once in a while, but nothing critical. Range is ok, but nothing spectacular. I would love to see these in a universal design so that i could use them with pc/xbox/ps3/any source. But they are just for pc. Overall 4 stars because I only paid a hundred for them at a big box store.

It really couldn't be any easier.It is a comfortable headset to use when it is wireless or plugged in to charge the battery. The cords coil up when not charging, so they don't get in the way and make my desk look messy. The sound is fantastic, and the mic works flawlessly, too. I have fun using the space squirrel voice morphing on my friends, and it also makes me laugh when hearing it for myself.Overall, I really like this gaming headset. It is comfortable, has amazing sound quality, and is quite durable. If you are looking for a headset for gaming, this is the top of the line quality you're looking for. I've read all the negative reviews concerning the G930. I can't say I've experienced any of them.I will address the two major issues I've come across before moving on:"White Noise" - Many people complain about static or white noise in the background. The only background noise I hear is while the device is connecting or if the "Sidetone" volume adjuster is too high. The Sidetone adjustment determines the amount of real-time feedback produced by the mic (also known as microphone monitoring)."Noise Cancellation" - Several people have moaned and groaned about the non-existent noise cancellation. I'm a heavy Team Speak user. Under their voice detection tab, there's a graph which shows mic input levels. Every headset I've owned has picked up 10-30dB of noise (background / static / mic gain). While testing the G930, the meter remains dead flat. As in, there's no heavy background noise getting picked up. The noise cancellation does exist and thus far, the microphone has proved to be better then my Turtle Beach X12's.The headset is fairly comfortable. I wear glasses and have larger ears. Yet, my ears fit perfectly and are completely surrounded.The sound quality isn't too shabby, although if you're a Turtle Beach fan, you'll notice that the lower frequencies are lacking. Luckily there's an equalizer included with the Logitech software.The range, battery life, and side buttons are great features. I especially love the red LED light located on the microphone which indicates whether or not the mic is muted. There's nothing worse then forgetting to mute your microphone, only to rip a loud one or cuss out your roommate. That little red light is amazing.Pros:Good quality sound (Bass is lacking, but can be adjusted with included software)Comfortable (Even with glasses and dumbo ears)Price (If you nabbed it while @ $94)Red LED Mic mute indicatorRechargeable (I hate buying batteries)Microphone Monitoring (Aka, Slidetone, can be adjusted with included software)Cons:Auto shut-off due to inactivity (As far as I know, I can't disable this or extend the 10min window).I look forward to the next model.

I received my G930 headset in less than 2 weeks, which is pretty impressive as they were shipped to Australia. When they arrived I quickly installed the software and set them up, I started Windows Media Player and started listening to some music..I was very disappointed.A quick search on google later for a software update, and 1min download (56mb update) and the difference is amazing, before there were alot of bugs with the EQ and the settings were limited to say the least. After the update, the EQ is very easy to manipulate and there are alot of settings to fiddle with.This headset is very well built, the programmable keys are awesome, and there are plenty for what I want to do with them. Furthermore, after the update there is the option to create multiple profiles and assign them to applications, ie. For Windows Media Player I have left the programmable keys as the default next song, play/pause, previous song. However, for skype I have set the programmable keys to change my voice.The sound is very, very good. The bass responds well and is very clear. The 7.1 surround sound is absolutely amazing, having been a firm believer that you could not get real surround sound without a home entertainment system, I was amazed at this product. The 7.1 surround sound gives me the upper hand in games and I prefer to use it with music aswell. However if you didn't want to use the surround sound for music, then there is a very handy little switch that dynamically switches between 7.1 and stereo.The headset is very comfortable and the ear cups are definitely going to cover your whole ear, the noise cancelling mic does a pretty good job blocking out the noise when you aren't listening to anything, and when you are listening to something, then it is virtually impossible to hear anything background noise. The ear pads are comfortable and help to both block out outside noise and keep the inside noise, inside.Which brings me to the battery life, when I got the headset there was 2 hours battery life in them, I plugged them in and started using them - it took two hours, while I was using the headset to fully charge the headset. Once fully charged the headset lasts 10 hours. Furthermore, the wireless is very good. I don't have a small house by any stretch of the imagination, and I was quite comfortably able to venture throughout my entire house and onto my veranda while talking with friends, which passes through 3-4 walls.For approximately $100 AUD these are a bargain in my eyes, with a little tender loving care I can see these headphones lasting me a long time.

PROS:- The sound quality is good. For the price I got it at, I was actually somewhat surprised by how good it sounded.- Feels good to wear. I've had several pairs of headphones before that I simply can't wear for longer than an hour because it physically hurts. I had no problems with these; they felt great.- Buttons. Really nice to have a volume wheel and a mic mute button on the headset. I only used the three macro keys for media, never tried them in games.CONS:- Mic weirdness. The mic has an auto-mute feature that is supposed to turn itself off when it's in the upright position, but I found that it had trouble figuring out where it was-- sometimes it wouldn't turn off, sometimes it would turn itself back on at random times.- Connection Issues. THIS IS A BIG WARNING! After about a month or two of ownership the headset started having connection problems. The audio cuts out every so often (I've found it gets worse over time, but fluctuates greatly from day-to-day). The problem is with the USB dongle; you can see the light flick off every so often, wait for a few seconds, then flick back on. It's extremely annoying, and I wouldn't buy another one simply because of this. Lots of people are having this problem, with many claiming different causes. Some are saying the firmware is bad, some are saying it's the wireless frequency getting interference, but whatever it is, it's a deal breaker. I've contacted Logitech, and am waiting a response. Generally people have been able to get theirs replaced without issue, but just be warned that there is a problem out there.2 stars because when it was working, it worked great. If I can get a replacement from logitech that doesn't have the same problem, I will bump it up to 5.
