The reason this design kicks butt is... the recharge and wireless receiver adapter. Similar to a USB wireless device, it enables one to place the transceiver away from the computer on the ground to get it kick up a few feet allowing the range to drastically improve. The best part is that the cable length is built into it. With this I can hit the can in between SC2 games and not miss a beat, (or stall the next round if I need a couple extra seconds). Second best feature? The scrolling volume control on the headset - this is AWESOME. No more stupid clicking the side of your head trying to get the volume up or down, just scroll baby! It is pretty sweet.So what about the competition, there are a couple decently scored headsets out there. Well I searched and tried a number of other less expensive wireless headsets. They sucked. Seriously, they were horrible. They either had abysmal range, annoying 6in recharge cables, or painful wearing problems with ears or weight on the top of the head. This product fixes all these concerns.I paid close to $130 for this unit, this is probably the least expensive of the worth buying headsets. I haven't tried the more expensive ones, I read a number of those reviews and saw the price and figured most are expensive junk (the only thing better is cheap junk). Good luck, but I suggest getting this one.

I just got these today, and I am truly impressed. There is no wireless lag even with a wireless router sitting about 10 ft away from the transmitter. The sound quality is impeccable, solid and extremely robust build, insane comfort, there really is not much else to say.I just think the software is a little buggy/laggy, but otherwise a 5 star rating.

Length:: 1:30 MinsThe g930 is actually an awesome headset. The design is great, listening to music is crisp & clear, wireless is now a luxury I won't be able to live without, and these could very well be the best headphones I've ever had.However, there is a major problem plaguing this headset, and while it could most likely be fixed with a simple driver update, sadly logitech just doesn't seem to care...The deal breaker occurs when using the mic, there is a constant buzzing/interference sound. It doesn't matter if it is completely silent when I'm recording, the sound won't go away! Doesn't matter if I'm using the logitech drivers, or windows default drivers, laptop or desktop, doesn't matter if I'm on Win XP machine, or Vista...If you browse their support forums you will this is a rampant problem with everyone who owns the g930. And you'll also see that support is pretty much non-existent too. Such a shame, I would love them except for this one issue, and these headphones are now going back...

I have this headsets for over a month now, i can tell you they are great. I run on Win7 32 bits, and i don't have any problems whats so ever. There are a lot of great things like the sound, surround, range, battery life and so on...I want to tell you guys about the problems i've noticed there are small problems but all in all 5 out of 5 stars:- the driver needs a lot of work to start with the charging monitor - it does't tell you when the headsets are full when you are charging them...- a few noises in the joints that gives the impression of low durability, but i haven't had any problems what's so ever.- low versatility of the G keys, but i think this is a driver problemThat's about it. All in all a great headsets @ great price.Buy, play Have Fun!!!

I bought this set to use for gaming and Skype and they have exceeded my expectations. The people I talk to say the microphone works great, the sound is incredible and most importantly for me, it is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel like its squeezing your brains out like some headsets I have worn.

Ok heres the deal, this headset is unusable to me because of a feature that they added on it. The headset auto shuts off after 10 minutes of inactivity coming through the headset. I am guessing they did this to prevent the battery from draining while in wireless mode, which makes sense. I dont understand though why, when the headset is plugged in, it still shuts off. You can be using your computer reading a document, and if you dont have any sounds coming out of the headset in that time they will shut off. So then when you go to do something with sound, you need to press and hold the power button on them for about 5-10 seconds. Sometimes that wont even work, and you need to unplug the cable from the headset and replug it in. I cant understand why they dont have options to adjust this in the software, but they dont.So unless you want to constantly be turning your headset back on, stay far away from this. Otherwise they work good, but not the most comfortable compared to the razer and steelseries I have had.

I bought the Creative Labs Sound Blaster World Of Warcraft Wireless Headset and used it for 3 months before they literally snapped in half. I didn't abuse them and when they broke, they broke from a perfectly normal motion of removing them from my head. Upon a Google search, I discovered HUNDREDS of other owner posts stating that their did the exact same thing. I couldn't replace them in warranty because Creative Labs requires a serial number, which is NOT printed anywhere on the headset itself but only on the box... which I had long thrown away.The Logitech G930 was my new replacement. There are many user reviews on this headset you can read. My review is simply going to consist of the following statement: For the same price...The Logitech G930 Headset is SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY to the Creative Labs WoW Wireless Headset, and is by far, the best wireless headset I've ever used.Thank You, and have a nice day.-WW_DaggerEDIT: As of 8-28-2011, I am no longer using these headphones. They signal is continuously dropping out and the software I have found has serious bugs with Windows 7 64-bit. These two things take make this a one star product for me. If your using 32 bit windows or XP, they still get at least a 4 star rating though.

i had read other reviews that said this headset had issues with cutting out, mic problems, and battery issues, but i dont know what those people are smokin but they need to quit!! this thing performs beautifully on both my laptop and desktop and the 7.1 sound they produce is nothing to scoff at i can hear perfectly when im playing crysis or battlefield if an enemy is coming up behind me.all in all its the absolute best 7.1 headset you can get for this amount of money in my opinion.

I couldn't get the software to install on my Win 7 64 system. I was told it was a corrupt file on my system and I went so far as a complete reinstall of everything and still couldn't get the software to install. It might be for the best though as many have reviewed this item with many Mic issues and so so performance.I returned the item and can't really give it a good or bad rating but wanted to relay my experience. I have given it a 3 rating for this reason. Logitech support as I have state in other reviews of Logitech products recently is:"Logitech tech support system is pretty good and they get back to you quickly but it always seems like they are grasping at straws and using the customer forum as their answer center."

Now I know why I like Logitech products so much! Although I do have a 5.1 speaker system, this headset provides ALL THE SOUND in some of my favorite games. Full, mind blowing, knock you out of your chair surround sound! Now I can hear ALL of the combat around me - and know WHERE the action is, just by the direction in the surround sound!The quality of the materials and construction are superb! I feel like the "priceyness" (although not really high, considering what you get) is more than justified. I feel that I got every penny's worth for my money. I have been a gamer for over 30 years, going back to the TRS 80, with 16k of memory, and this headset has upped my enjoyment of my games to another level!The headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods and the range is great. Gotta take a break from the action? No problem, you can still talk to your buds even if you go to another floor in the house!Bottom line: If you want GREAT 7.1 surround sound for your gaming, a fantastic listening experience for movies and/or music, GET THIS HEADSET! You won't regret it!

Well-made, comfortable headphones with great sound.The batteries last a good long time and you can evenuse it while they are recharging (plugged into a USBport).My gaming buddy complains of a very noticeable hissingsound when using the built-in microphone. Nothing I triedwould eliminate it. Checked in the Logitech forums andthis has apparently been an ongoing issue for months andhas not been resolved. Tried everything their techsupport recommended to no avail, so went back to using mydesktop Logitech microphone and leaving the POS mike tiltedup out of the way.

First, these is a seriously snazzy-looking headset. I love the styling. And it's pretty comfortable, with its memory foam headband.The sound is excellent, even with a couple of walls in between. Good sound isolation. Very good mic quality, although it's fixed on one side (left). On-headset volume control and programmable buttons, e.g. to let you control media playback on Media Player. Battery life is at least 7 hours.Note that to get surround sound you'll have to switch it on on the headset itself. The surround sound effect is definitely there. You can control volume for each channel and basic equalization (bass, treble) via the included software. Strangely, it does not save the mic gain setting; you'll have to keep setting it.It has a nice cable-thingy to wrap around and tidy it up, which also allows you to use it while it charges.There are some complaints about the range not being more than 40 feet. This seems unreasonable to me, unless you want much larger hardware or a shorter battery life. It's an engineering tradeoff. Speaking of which, I wish the dongle were smaller, but such is life. I also wish the buttons were more programmable.Overall, a pretty well-made headset.Unfortunately they are not PS3-compatible :(

I really wanted to get a good test of this microphone before I wrote a review on it.Unfortunetly, it's not up to my standards. At first the sound quality was great. Then, about 3 weeks in, it went from great, to poor.There is cracking every second while listening to music on some players, but on others its fine.My opinion, I've had the G35 and this one and I would definitely go with the G35. That was a great headset.

The 7.1 surround sound, which needs the included drivers and software, sounds great. Software can adjust volumes for each of the 7 sattellites, and the woofer. Software also has a great equalizer, and a voice morphing gimic. The headset itself charges very quickly through USB, and it lasts a long time: 30 minute charge = 6-8 hours. It looks very durable and the microphone goes up completely out of your way when not in use. It has only three configurable buttons and a volume and a mute, which I found was too limited. Here is the only major issue I have. It's very top heavy. Maybe it's because of all that 7.1 surround sound tech in that headset itself. When laying in bed and getting back up, you have to hold the headset so it doesn't fly off your head because of it's weight. In summary, it sound great, but adds the weight.

I've owned this headset for a little over a week now. This is the by far the best headset I've ever owned. It sounds great, people say they can hear me just fine and unlike some of the other posters that complained that people said they sounded funny. No one in either Vent or Teamspeak have said anything about it. They all say I sound like me. (Not sure if thats a good or bad thing tho) I did go into the microphone settings and adjust it slightly. The voice morphing is also fun to play with.I'm also able to move a pretty good distance away from the receiver, before it loses reception. Roughly 50 feet thats through walls, I'm sure if it was open space it probably would be greater.I would highly recommend these to anyone out there looking to get into the wireless headset scene. They are well worth the money, I'm probably going to have to buy another one because my wife wants a pair now.

This headset gets 2 stars only because of the fantastic surround effects. Noticeable difference in games using the Dolby mode. Everything surrounds you with strong positioning effects. Other wise these are poor all the way around.Good-+7.1 Surround is fantastic+Easy to use softwareBad--Wireless would go in and out and sometimes lose signal(don't know if these were a defective unit but Logitech could not solve the problem)-Uncomfortable, these have a vice grip on your head.-Poor over all sound-lousy bass-poor mic

I was slightly skeptical at the sound quality of this headset prior to my purchase, but now I can admit to simply being blown away by the fidelity and accuracy of this headset.No tweaking is needed to get perfect positional sound out of this guy. It takes a game with amazing sound to truly exhibit its capabilities (ie Bad Company 2), and it is quite stunning.Audio does not sound cramped or far away, but rather seems perfectly positioned - you feel as though you are in the midst of the action. Footsteps, gunshots, even falling shell cases can be pinpointed with incredible accuracy.The charging base isn't really a base for the headset, but rather a puck to coil the excess wiring and to connect the wireless receiver to. It has more than enough length to use the headset comfortably while plugging it in to charge.Pros:Very comfortable, even for extended periods of use.Sound is very clear, with beautiful, crisp highs and booming lowsSurround is perfect - no tweaking necessary!Very good isolation.Apparently ~9-10hrs of battery life (will update if it falls below/above that).Very low price for what you get.Cons:Not much is out for the G buttons at the moment (an SDK is available from Logitech) - limiting their use, as you cannot set specific keys or macros.

Purchased them for playing music only. I will not use a mic or making a calls on Skype or so on. I could not found anything that came close for the price and what can do. I walk around the house and went outside with them and they continue playing with out any problem. I like the 7.1 it sounds better then just 2 channels. Plus I can control the play, pause, Skip Forward, Skip Back right from the headset.So the bottom conclusion is.....I like those headset. It works like it said, Great sound, Good mic, Good range. (I got at 60 ft. Going true one wall before signal lost. And then to recover signal I had to get to about 30 ft.)But they are Not that comfortable like others said. I have a small head and wear glasses they don't feel that good. They are kind of heavy and every time I move my head they are moving a little and they produce a rubbing noise That I can hear. I try Boss over the ear and they were just perfect no noise but they are wired......Would I purchased them again? At this time the answer is Yes......

I read a lot of really good reviews on these headphones. Until I received mine and started looking through the logitech forums. There is a really bad echo that happens when i use my mic and it won't go away. There is some really bad static in the headphones when I turn on the surround sound. There are numerous people reporting these same problems and Logitech refuses to acknowledge the issue with even so much as a reply. Don't waste your money on these until Logitech decides to fix them. The same problems were had with the previous model and yet they release a new model and still haven't fixed the previous issue. I'm done buying Logitech at this point. Failure to support your equipment is a horrible way to do business.

It's basically a good set, but it is false advertised. There is no noise cancellation on x64 windows 7. Driver's fault probably, but Logitech ain't doing anything about this.(noise cancellation works fine when you are using voice morphing, but sincerely, if I'd wish to sound like a robot I would grow a throat cancer.)EDIT:Month ago Logitech posted long promised software update that fixed nothing. They added voice activation and called it noise cancellation. Now it's cutting words in half:D. If anyone have doubts then check Logitech forums.

Upgrading from a Fatality non USB headset, these are a huge improvement. While there are a few cons, the pros greatly outweigh them.Pros:Auto Mute when the boom goes upIsolate noise to the point where people have to yell at me to get my attentionMicrophone is decentG Keys to skip music while away from the computer (or other things)Surround Sound (needs tweaking out of box though)Cons:Battery life is kinda shortUncomfortable(After an hour or so)Neutral:Range of headset is ok(My Sennheissers get much better range)Overall if you have the money to spend and want a quality gaming headset, pick these up. You won't be disappointed.

This headset is way better than any other I have ever used, and I cannot reccomend it enough. It was very easy to set up, and the wired connection for charging is very clever in how it was designed. Its very easy to keep the cables nice and neat while still being able to charge it when you need it to.The wireless range is great - it will work just fine all over my entire 2 bedroom apartment, which is particularly nice given that the buttons on the side of the headset are programmed to control the pause/play for music even when I am far away from my PCYes, there is a bit of plastic near the ears that make a bit of a creaking sound, which may possibly annoy some people. But don't let that dissuade you! It provides a very nice, clear, crisp sound. The microphone is excellent as well.7.1 surround doesn't seem "perfect," as it is a software surround sound solution, but it sure gives a nice effect and makes the games I play (World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, Modern Warfare 2) feel very immersive. Voice chat over Ventrilo and Teamspeak works very nicely as well.All in all, if you are in the market for a very nice, wireless PC headset, this is a great choice.

This is a REALLY nice set of headphones. I liked them so much I bought a pair for a friend at graduation (through Amazon of course). For the price, they are the best set I've seen so far. Comfortable to wear and work great for gaming or just puttin' around the house.

Logitech did not disappoint with this headset. I snatched up a WoW Sound Blaster headset immediately when they launched it before this device was announced and when the logitech launched I picked it up. Personally I like the software package with the Logitech much better. It tells you how much battery life you have so you don't have to guess when you should plug it up. Most other wireless headsets just cut out when the battery dies on you; or at most beep at you once beforehand. I also like the ability to just flip up the mic or even if you don't flip it up there is a light on the end of it that indicates it is muted. Which the WoW SB headset lacks. All in all a fabulous headset. Very comfortable for extended use as I occasionally have it on for 8+ hours at a time.

Ive tried the turtlebeach x31's and x41's, the creative HS-1200's, and these are by FAR the most well designed, sounding, and most comfortable wireless headset i've ever purchased. These things are amazing, the controls are easy to get used to and they dont squish your head!The software coupled with them is simple and has everything you need to configure them which is a huge plus. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new headset to get these before trying any others. You won't regret it!

This thing is awesome if your tired of yor ears being abused by other modles you will love this te sound is great and very clear. the on heatset buttons are great although they take a litle getting used to. the headset just barly toches my ears and seals them of from outside noise the headset dose get a little warm but nothing bad, there is one thing I did find a problem with is that the headset don't have a ntch for anyone tat wears glasses witch I dothe headset presses down on the temples of my glasses but not hard its somethig I can get used to but it would nice to have asmall notch there. all in al I would highly recomend this headset to anyone that dosn't want there ears abused buy other modles sitting right on top of there ears

I have had the G930 for a number of weeks and for the price i can not say i am satisfied.The unit is well built and the sound quality is acceptable. However, the unit constantly turns itself off when idle.That means if you are using the microphone and stop talking the unit will after a minute or two, turn off.I have been in contact with logitech about this and apparently they don't really care as"Thank you for contacting the Logitech Customer Care Team.We are glad to assist you with your concern.It is not actually a designed fault. I have two small kids and I usually like to be able to hear them when I'm using headphones. Sometimes I don't like to hear them ;) and I might wear headphones as a way to block some of the bickering. I have some high quality headphones with microphone and that's usually what I would use.I had no idea the level of difference not only in sound quality but in ambient noise reduction that I'd get if I stepped up to a set of this price point.I used them for Internet browsing, music and gaming. When I removed the headphones, I realized how much extraneous noise had been blocked even when I had no significant amount of sound coming through the set. I don't like my music or gaming to be loud but I do want it to be clear and this set went well beyond what I realized my machine was capable of.As for me, I intend to use my headset (and I do mean "mine" b/c I'm squirreling it away for my use only) often, no matter what I'm doing with my computer.

so i have had this headset since august 7th. i order it on amazon before they put it to pre-order which i didn't understand. anyway, i have had it for over a week and let me say, this is the best headset i have ever owned. for 160$ you can go wrong considering its wireless and has 40mm drivers. My brother owns the astro a40's and to me these are better, but the astro's do have more metal on them.PROSSound, bass response is amazing and they never distortwireless, i have gone about 35ft through 2-3walls without it cutting out.quality, logitech is none for their amazing mic and keyboards, now they can add wireless gaming headsets to the list.CONSwish it was less plastic, i feel that if i drop them or put them in my backpack that if i bang into something it has the potential to break.Also with this plastic they creek when you put them on or move them around, not always tho.CONCLUSIONBuy them, you can go wrong. if you have the logtiech g35 don't bother but if your in need of an awesome brand new headset in the 150$ rang, but them.

My friend had the previous generation of wired headset from Logitech, and based off his opinion I ordered these. I had been having issues with my previous surround sound headset while playing games online. I was really surprised with the sound quality over my previous head set. All my online friends commented on the clarity of the new mic, even though I hadn't told them I got a new headset. The mic flips up out of the way and mutes itself when in the up position. This is good because the range on the microphone continues to transmit all the way to the bathroom on the other side of the house. The foam padding is very comfortable and the headset is light weight. I can wear it for a couple of hours before I begin to notice they are on my head.

This headset is great. I bought this after going through TWO of the World of Warcraft Wireless Headsets that broke on me. They have metal where the WOW ones had cheap plastic. The range is great.. I can even walk out to my car (about 100 feet) and they still mostly work. I'm very happy with these..Also the new logitech software and ventrillo version work with the g keys on the headset which is extremely nice. I know some of the past reviews complained about that but they fixed it.Overall I highly recommend these for the audiophile or the gamer.

Not being very tech savvy, I ordered these headphones for my son, thinking he could use them with his Xbox 360. My mistake, but he still gets lots of use out of them while he's on the computer. He's very happy that they're wireless and the charge lasts for quite a while. The charger is included. He especially enjoys how well they work with iTunes. There's a button on the side of them that opens iTunes and the ability to pause and skip to the next song is a plus. The surround sound is very good quality, they are comfortable to wear, and they block out outside noises as well. He also enjoys using them while playing computer games. Read the other reviews for more technical information. I wish I could comment on that, but I am clueless about all that stuff. My teenaged son is very happy with them and has used them every day since we got them. I can recommend.

Do not purchase these headphones, they sound terrible and conflict with anything wireless, hell even my logitech harmony remote would cause these to static up. Noise canceling does not work and even though logitech has been aware since last year, they haven't don't anything about it.Please save your money and avoid this product

These are high quality headphones whose main drawbacks are some driver issues and immature product support. For a new product such as this those negatives aren't unexpected. Sound quality was great, ease of use was also great. Installation went smoothly but crashed at the very end, although without seeming to have an impact on performance. The surround aspect is fairly gimmicky but the noise isolation is good. The odd implementation of the off switch (hold on for five seconds however the light will stay on), having to dig through menus to switch between headphones and speakers and some incompatibility issues with media playback were annoying and in the case of the incompatibility issues a potential dealbreaker if the driver issues cannot be resolved.Overall, these are great headphones, with clear sound, plenty of volume and a comfortable fit that remained comfortable during use.

I've been very happy with this product. The sound quality is very good and they block out a good amount of ambient room noise. They are comfortable to wear for long periods (as comfortable as any product like this can be). The controls are intuitive. They quality seems good and I think they will be reasonably durable. I('ve only used them for a few weeks) Battery life is reasonable and should last you through a typical gaming session. If you are looking for PC gaming headphones I can recommend these.

We love this headset! It adjusts easily and fits comfortably. Great sound and range. I would purchase this again.

Not much to say. Everything about this headset is PERFECT. I wish there was PS3 support for USB headsets so I could use this for that as well.(Oh, keep a couple feet from running microwaves. They tend to break up the signal.)

Very happy with the G930 Gaming Headset. A real pleasure to listen to the controlled surround sound of this headset even compared to my external 5.1 system.Games and movies sound great and makes using a headset a pleasure and not a hindrance.I would have gave it 5 stars if I could figure out how to make the headset not take over the external speaker system and still have it plugged in to the USB for charging. There is probably a way but I haven't dug deep enough into it yet.

I've had these headphones for 3 days now and I must say that they are the best sounding I've ever had. Not that I've ever had ones this expensive before so the other ones might not have been as high of quality. I can't compare to exclusive brands like Sennheiser but I will say that these are phenomenal. The only thing that irked me is when I took them downstairs while on Skype with a friend and I threw something into the microwave and that killed the wireless connection. But that's more of a technology limitation than a flaw in the device. I highly recommend these!

Awesome Wireless Headset! The G930 is great for gaming and it produces surprisingly good stereo sound too for listening to music.I have not tried to use the G buttons yet.Pros:1. Wireless range is very good2. Sound quality: 2.0 and 7.1 surround is very good3. Battery life is good4. Volume control on the headset is a good touch5. Completely over the ear design is comfortable for long hours of gamingCons: Maybe the price, but then again, you get what you pay for. So I really have no complaints at all.I recommend this headset to anyone who plays online games or anyone who wants outstanding wireless headphones for their PC.

This headset is fantastic. I have used the Steelseries 5Hv2 for the better part of 3 years and I feel that this blows it out of the water. The surround sound sounds great and the mic quality is great. I have shown it to all my gamer friends and they want to pick up one for themselves.The only drawback is that the software for the G keys does not currently work with Ventrilo. This is a minor annoyance and once it's fixed I will be able to chat with friends while I am sitting on my couch.
