This headset is a great headset for gaming! It is a pretty comfortable headset. You are dishing out a little bit of dough for this, but considering the price for the quality it is a great deal.I do want to explain this however: even though it does it have an EQ, the bass still isn't the greatest. If you're looking for some serious bass response, I think these headsets are lacking. You can adjust the EQ to the sound that you prefer, but as far as the lower end, don't expect your teeth to rattle or your heart to pound. I have had these for a couple weeks though and after letting them wear in, the bass is better than it was first coming out of the box.The Surround Sound: Let me tell you, for gaming, this is where it really shines! I love playing FPS and to be able to tell where your enemy is by their footsteps or even by their shooting is a great helper. Even on some of my older games it was incredibly immersive. The ear cups help to block sound in the first place and once you actually turn on something, you are in your own little world. I also take online classes and for the classroom setting, the surround makes it harder to listen to the lectures. The great thing is that with a flick of the switch on the headphones, it turns off the surround.The Mic: nothing much to say here. Just like other reviewers said, if you turn off the sidetone, you won't have problems with some of the weird noises. I haven't had any complains when online and everyone says that they hear me crystal clear. I think the voice morphs are stupid... I can't see myself using them, but I imagine that someone would use them or they wouldn't have put them on there.The G-keys: they are mediocre. Aside from turning on your music or changing a voice morph, they serve no real purpose. Don't get me wrong, they do well at working ITunes or other media players, but it's not true G functionality that you normally get on a Logitech product.The wireless range is pretty nice. I can go pretty far from my desktop and still listen to music while working. The battery life is pretty good and the software tells you how long it will be until you can go wireless again.I have had some wireless connectivity problems with the USB at times, but for some reason they have cleared up since then. I'm guessing some sort of problem with something else running in the background. This is probably exclusive to me, so you may not have to worry about it.The main problem I have with these headphones is the fact that anytime you want to listen to your computer speakers, you have to unplug the usb dongle. When you turn the headphones off, there should be a switch that automatically goes to desktop speakers. (and maybe even have this as a feature that can be toggled.)The cups for the ears are nice, but sometimes I feel like I have to let my ears out to "breathe."If you are hesitating at getting this earphones, then don't. They are a great product at a great price. They were a good at 160, now at 110, it's even better!

The sound on these things is very good. IMO it's a better quality sound that most home theater systems.I love that they are wireless, when they are fully charged they have good battery life. I have to charge them every night before I go to sleep which is fine..I use them pretty much all day.I will never buy another pair of wired headphones after using these...it feels good to not be tethered down by a cord.Great for watching movies and playing games.Only gripe is that they dont work with a ps3 or xbox360 right out of the box, but there are ways to route the sound from your consoles to your PC's line in jack, then you have to use a audio program called audacity to stream the consoles audio to your headphones through your PC. Only way to make it work with consoles which was the original reason I got these, P.S. it is impossible to get the mic to work with the xbox360.However in Skype the mic i'm told is very clear and I am easily heard, so it's good quality.Also I like the software they bundle with it.There is 1 little annoying bug where sometimes I can't use the volume control on the side of them, but the solution is pretty simple, just turn off the headphones and turn them back on. Took off a star because of it.

I am loving this headset, everything I hoped for but a few things for some reason my Firefox only plays sound out of right speaker but if I put on surround it works in both in chrome surround and stereo both work in both speakers I think this is an issue with flash not the headphones from what iv gathered with this issue looking up on the web, also its kinda annoying that I have to manually switch my playback device from speakers to g930 headset when I want to go back from one to the other.. it doesn't just recognize I turned off the headset and go back to speakers I have to manually go into sound settings and change it.. annoying even with new drivers doesn't just auto recognize and do it automatically, not sure if this is an issue im gonna have to live with or if Logitech even cares to look into it, I do love the headset though just wish more information was out on these problems.. also I read allot about people sending back the headset over the sound issues in the browsers like the one I just explained.. this is not a hardware problem this is a software issue with flash, this only happens when playing flash videos also read in Logitech forums people that work at Logitech giving the standard reply to this issue as a problem with the headset and that the person should rma and it send it back, silly that more info isn't out on this sound problem with flash, people sending back the headset cause someone at Logitech is telling them its a hardware problem. I don't believe that, all the movies and games I play all work just find with stereo and surround but in browser and flash does this one sided thing and for some reason not in both browsers chrome is dif than Firefox on how it handles it.

I purchased this headset for work thinking it would be a good way to cancel out some noise from the surrounding cubicles. I now want to take it home and bring my SoundBlaster headset to work instead. This thing is amazing! The G keys are beautiful! The sound is stunning...especially on 7.1! Also...as a former DJ...the fact that I have an advanced equalizer is a seller. Every option from 32 to 16K is available, plus Bass and Treble. I love the volume scroll rather than mashing a button several times to get my volume to go down. The wireless feature lets me get up and go grab a coffee without ending my call with a client. I dropped it right after I opened the box...smart me...but it seems to have done no damage. Logitech...you've done it again for me! Every single time I go to buy "high end" peripherals like Razer or SteelSeries, they always let me down. Logitech has yet to disappoint me.Great for gamers! Great for the office! Great for anything to do with a computer to be honest! A recommended buy...and at the price, a steal!

These headsets were awesome. I had them for 2 years until they finally died, they would have lasted longer if I didn't sleep with them on or drop them many times. I also used the hell out of them, I play games for about 60+ hours a week and the headset keeps it's charge and sounds amazing. I just ordered my second pair two days ago and just received them today. They are the same as they were before, great sound quality, comfortable fit and volume control/mute button are great. I never had any of the problems that other people describe such as a "buzzing noise" or "cutting in and out". The only time the headset buzzes and cuts in and out is when I go into my kitchen and turn the microwave on or walk out into my backyard, they are both on the opposite side of the house from my room. Hopefully these new ones I just bought are as good as my original pair! I will defiantly keep buying these in the future because they are long lasting, great quality, and for 100$ I cannot find another wireless headset with 7.1 surround sound. The other headsets like the Razer Tiamat are 190$ which I do not have to expend.

This is my second G930 headset...the first one I had to return within the first week because it would not charge. I've owned this headset for 5 months, and I'm hoping to find a better, more reliable alternative.Pros:- G keys are extremely cool and useful. I play a lot of audio books and podcasts and I configure one of the buttons to play/pause which is quite handy for walking around the house.- Comfortable. I regularly wear these for 1+ hour without issue- Noise Cancellation...the headphones fit over your ears and drowns out the rest of the world. You can wear these instead of earplugs ;-)Cons:- It randomly has issues with disconnects...just drops audio randomly even while plugged in. This usually happens to me once or twice a day- After some time, a loud buzzing noise starts occurring in my headphones that is louder than the music I'm listening to. This might just be a defect in my headphones, but its really annoying that I'll need to return yet another headset.- Software does not report battery status while the headphones are powered off and plugged in.- Mic does not have any background noise cancellation which seems odd for a product in this price range.

Great hardware, but there's deal breaking software issues. I realized that 7.1 is actually a bad gimmick. Games mix their sound into stereo just fine, they do it in a way that offers good surround already and lets you position sounds, etc. It's BETTER to let games mix sound into stereo, because then the sound is actually tailored for two speakers. However, this headset forces Windows to see it as a 7.1 set, and then Logitech's drivers mix it back into stereo - instead of the game making a well-tailored stereo mix, we're unnecessarily relying on Logitech's drivers, which treats all audio sources equally, to give you a stereo mix. Sometimes with bad results.This leads to issues like voice chat being drowned out because the game is trying to send it into one of the 7.1 channels, but it gets muffled in the mix. I can barely hear my friends in Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2. You'll notice other noises sounding loud or not loud enough because of poor mixing.There's a stereo switch, but this is fake too - it just mixes the 7.1 differently, but doesn't truly tell Windows to have software send audio as stereo. AND it's broken - somehow the subwoofer channel only gets routed the the right ear, so the left is thin and tinny.Logitech has earned a great reputation for me from the g700 mouse, but this product is unbelievably half baked. Having a true stereo option is a must, I'm tired of wasting my time trying to figure out how to hear my friends, the only reason one would buy a gaming headset over a cheaper and much better sounding pair of Grados or other cans.

I replaced my now 5 year old Medusa headset with these. I always thought the Medusas sounded pretty good for being headphones, but I was very impressed by how much better these sound, even though they are virtual surround. The noise canceling is good, but not fantastic; it's not really that noticeable, but if you rub the mic you can hear your finger even if the loopback is turned off in the software, so obviously there IS some active noise canceling going on. The range is quite good. My computer is upstairs in the front of the house and I have to go all the way down stairs and almost out the back door before I lose signal. Battery life is, as always, massaged a bit, but I seem to get 6-8 hours on a charge consistently. I have seen it posted elsewhere, but it's worth mention, that these DO work with a mac, the only thing you lose is the virtual surround (logitech! Make a Mac driver!)I can't speak to longevity yet. The pictures one of the people posted that they claim to be 1 year of regular wear kind of scares me. But honestly that looks more like they were carried around a backpack...or a dog got them...or something outside of standard wear.

I previously used the Logitech G35 headset and was very happy them until they literally fell apart after about 2 years of heavy use. I went to buy a new pair but couldn't find any locally but saw the new G930 and decided to 'upgrade'. The good news is that they seem to be built better than the G35, are more comfortable, the battery life is pretty decent at 7 hours, the sound is just as good as the G35, and the wireless is great when it works.That said, the bad far outweighs the good. The headset cuts out for 4-5 seconds very often at irregular intervals. I use these for teleconferencing and this means for the most part that these are incredibly annoying at best and unusable in reality. To make matters worse, when you connect the wire it still communicates with the computer wirelessly so there's no workaround for the intermittent communication.Second is the random powering down. Less often than the communication disruption, but still fairly regular is that these things will turn off for no obvious reason. (Note: this is not turning off due to running out of charge I'm talking about. That is actually handled pretty well with audible beeps to warn you of the impending shutdown.) Again, to add insult to injury, whenever this happens they won't simply turn back on. The headset plays a game with you for the next 10 minutes or so where they will turn back on for about 10-30 seconds and then turn off again, until finally they decide to stay on for good.Finally, and this is less of an issue, the G930 seems far more susceptible to wind noise than the G35.Overall, I would strongly recommend avoiding these unless you really need the wireless connection and don't mind if the audio cuts out regularly and the headset turns off at random intervals.

I researched the purchase of a new set of Headphones when my other headphones started to fail. I hate having wires hanging off my headphones so a primary concern was that the new pair would be wireless and they must support 7.1 surround sound because of the online gaming that I do on a daily basis. After much consideration and price checking I decided on the Logitech G930 at Amazon since it had the best price for the headset. I could not have been more pleased with my purchase, the installation was a breeze (Instruction booklet could have been more informative) but I downloaded the manual from Logitech website which I highly recommend. The sound quality to me is perfect for my use for both music and gaming. And the wireless feature is great, no more wires hanging from the headphones. My computerr is in the front of my house and I can hear the headphone all the way into my backyard.

My husband uses these for Starcraft and likes them a lot. I use them every once and a while while I'm cleaning and it needs to be quiet. It's nice that they are wireless, but are a bit bulky for walking around. It does work on a mac for the basic sound (you have to change your sound preferences though), but not all of the functions. It's nice that when the microphone is up the sound mutes automatically. The only thing I don't like is that they are a pain to turn on and off. You have to hold the button down for like 2 seconds exactly or it doesn't work...more or less and it doen't work. I can't stand it...but it doesn't seem to bother my husband. Also, we just found out this technology uses the same frequency as the internet so sometimes the sound goes in and out for a second if there is too much stuff going on. Not that big deal though.

I've owned my headset for quite awhile now. My previous Logitech headset was crap, some foam-padded, low-level-mic, POS that barely worked correctly for me. I tossed that piece of junk years ago and opted instead for just headphones. After years of using just headphones, I felt it would be best to finally get back into using headsets to communicate--I skype a lot more, I'm a better gamer because of it (TF2, BF3, L4D2, SCII (to a lesser degree)) and I won't be changing headsets.The set feels very well built. Unless you like to take your rage out on devices, this is going to last you a long time. Yes, it is bulky, so if you don't like massive things covering your head, then I wouldn't recommend sticking with this device. Volume is easy to control, function buttons are nice (although I rarely use them), and the bar mic is actually bendable.However, there are some slight frustrations with this. First off, if you have an external set of speakers, there's no pass-thru if you have the USB receiver plugged in. I have my receiver wire plugged into the back and it's a pain just unplugging it if I want to hear things through my speakers. Luckily, my desktop speakers are crap, so I only play things on them if I want others to hear.Secondly, there seems to be some mystery as to how long one must depress the power button for this thing to actually turn off. I'll hold it for two seconds, release, and it'll remain on. Sometimes I hold it for less, other times I hold it for five seconds and it finally disengages. It would have been nice if Logitech just put an 'on-off' switch instead of a power button, so I don't have to hold the thing in and hope that it turns on/off when I release it.As for other reviews that I've read on here, I doubt that this thing will ever break with normal, continued use. Also, I've never experienced a buzzing or interference when I enable the mic on it. I've read just to drop the mic gain and see if that works, but as far as this unit goes, it's not a problem.Pros: AWESOME AUDIO, comfortable, wireless and it's LOGITECH!Cons: Difficult buttons, no pass-thru for external speakers

Use: 3-6 hours a day, playing music/movies sometimes simultaneously with MMOs (SWTOR, WoW, Aion, Rift), FPS (CS:Source, TF2, Skyrim), and other various games.I got this headset about a year ago, and when I first got them, I couldn't believe how awesome they sound! The 7.1 surround is amazing for shooters and movies, and while you can switch to turn that off, I've never wanted to! The battery life is long enough for my 4+ hour gaming sessions at least -- I've never had them die on me, but I keep them charged as well overnight. Plus, if you needed to, you could just wear them with the USB plug in!As for the range, I can go all the way upstairs from my computer in the basement and still hear clear as day -- I use the G1-3 buttons as Ventrilo commands and I can talk with folks as I roam about my house, do laundry, get a drink, and what not. Makes it easy when raiding in MMOs to stay on top of what's going on while still taking care of the things you gotta do sometimes! one day I went outside and wandered down the street and got pretty far before it started to fuzz a bit and miss parts of the song and eventually cut out.Comfort wise, they fit around my ears snug against my head, the band at the top is adjustable and way more comfortable than other headphones I've worn. Because they are snug, sometimes my ears get hot, but that's not too often. They might feel a bit heavy to some folks, I think, but they're a perfect fit for me at one notch open for each side.I haven't had any mic issues like I've read in some of the reviews, so I'm not sure where that came from. I haven't had any complaints from my gaming buddies, and when recording myself and playing back, it sounds clear as if I was talking to someone.There are a bunch of items to mess with via the control panel for it, like voice changers and what not -- while I played with it at the start, I generally have the equalizer and settings to wear I don't need to touch it anymore.I highly recommend this headset! If you're considering buying a headset, it's worth the money -- if I remember I got mine for a sweet deal $129.99, but they're worth the $160 price tag. I've had no decay in quality (audio or physical) after a year of rather heavy use.If you have any questions, feel free to comment and I'll do my best to get back about it!

Pros:Battery - It lasts 6+ Hours, and charges in less than 45 minutes.Sound - Crisp, clear, even sound.Comfort - I have worn these 6 hours straight with no discomfort.Programmable buttons - Work flawlessly with Ventrilo, and WMPCons:Programmable buttons - A dedicated Stop/Play, Next Track, and Last track would be nice. As it is, they have programmable buttons that you can have do the same thing, but having additional specific ones would be more intuitive and helpful, IMO.Charging stand - Not really a "con", but it would be a nice feature to have a charging dock that you just set the headphones on and it charges automatically without having to plug them in. With that being said... all and all, these areAll in all, these are fantastic. Whether you are listening to music while doing housework, Listening to long conference calls over IP while needing to remain mobile, or playing shooter games needing pinpoint sound, these headphones can't be beat.

Bought one of these looking for a good wireless solution for gaming and Skype.Initially, I was very impressed. They sounded great. I raved to my friends.My friends on Skype mentioned how much better my old mic was, so I switched to the old mic, but that wasn't a big deal. My old microphone was a dedicated device, not wireless, of course it's going to sound better.I loved my G930 so much I bought a second one for work. I'm a video game designer, and am playing games and talking to teammates every day, both at home and at work.Then after only a few weeks, less than two months, my USB wireless connector started cutting out. About every 10 minutes. This happened to both headsets, on two different machines, running different VOIP software.Then the friends I talked into getting this headset started complaining about the same thing.At the same time, the Logitech Device Manager software stopped working reliably. It would often show no device connected, it would randomly reset my settings, so volumes would change randomly. It would be slow--several seconds--to respond to changes in the volume control.They are now unusable for more than about 10 minutes at a time. I have since doled out more money for an Astrogaming A50.I updated everything, uninstalled/reinstalled. As far as I can tell, it's just not perfected technology. Cannot recommend.

Pros:Great soundCool featuresVery comfortableGood micWirelessGood battery lifeCons:The connectivity sucks- randomly disconnects while sitting right next to the receiver.Cannot connect via USBBad range, will disconnect across the roomDespite being very comfortable and sounding really good, I wouldn't buy this again if I had the choice because of the connectivity issues- you can't experience any of the pros if it won't stay connected. Its been an issue since I got it and never gotten better. This is a very common problem with the headset judging by how many hits come back with the same issue with an internet search. AFAIK there's no fix and Logitech hasn't addressed the problem. People say that it might have to do with other wireless devices near the receiver but I live in a dorm and cannot control that variable. Really disappointed in Logitech as I've been a fan for a long time and trusted the brand to deliver a good reliable product.

+ Very comfortable. The only thing that rests on your head is the top, which is well padded. Therefore, you dont have any soreness around the ears, or anything, like you would with cheaper headsets.+ Quality of sound is good. Still trying to figure out why, however, they do not sound as good as my previous headphones, BUT I honestly think this is just because these are new, and I am not used to them, I would not knock the quality of sound at all.+ It's wireless... like.... you can keep talking while you go grab a drink. It's the gaming hermit's wet dream! ;)Con - PRICE. It's really expensive, and while I understand that a wireless, surround sound, gaming headset is something special, $120 is EXTREMELY steep for the actual product. I would rest the best price around 70 - 90. If you can find it for that, then you will have a great trade between money, and product. Otherwise, for $120, it's just a really good, headset to buy when you are looking to waste some money on your dangerously anti-social gaming habits, like me. :)

Had this headset for 9 months, bought new from Amazon.com. When it works, it works great. Problem is, it doesn't work all the time. The surround sound is awesome, but if I turn it off, one side is much louder than the other. Not sure why, but now I just keep it on all the time. I've checked all my settings and can't figure out why the sound would be uneven. They're comfy, I can wear them all day, but the cutting out is a deal breaker. It will randomly stop working. Just dies for a couple seconds. I hear a beep, and that's it, no sound coming in or out. It only last a few seconds, but it's pretty annoying. Especially when you're trying to Skype or... pretty much doing anything that requires sound. Not sure what triggers it, but plugging it in to power/charge doesn't help, and there's still no update that has fixed this yet. Obviously I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who doesn't like expensive headset shaped paperweights.

I cant even describe them. My first pair unfortunately developed a crack in the hinge, so I RMA'd them and I have to say.... Logitech's customer service is AMAZING. They paid for my shipping label, I sent in my old headphones and just got the replacement pair today. I don't know if they just used new parts or something, but oh my GOD I don't remember them sounding this good, the bass is crisper than anything I've ever heard, the surround sound just blew my mind and I think these headphones have spoiled me a little. I can't put on another pair of headphones and even come close to how happy I am with these. And the best part? They're wireless. This is also the first review I've ever written, but just the fact that logitechs service was so damn good, and these headphones are awesome was enough for me to want to spread the word. I think everything I'm going to buy for my computer is going to be logitech from now on. annnnnnd now I'm gonna go back and watch tron again.

This is a great headset but the mic could be much better. With that being said let's break this review down into PROs and CONs.PROS:-AMAZING sound quality! The 7.1 surround sound makes you feel like you're in the game!-SUPER comfortable! I have left these bad boys on for hours and my head and ears feel fine!-EASY to setup and start using! Some advice for this though, install the drivers (on the CD) before you start charging them for the 1st time-GREAT build quality! They are made out of plastic but I feel that they will hold up to whatever I throw at them...or throw them at. :)-LONG battery life! I get at least 9 hours out of these headphones, which is usually at least two days.CONS:-MIC quality. The mic quality sucks. But this headset isn't made for the mic, it's a gaming HEADSET. If you want a good mic, go get a Blue Yeti or Snowball.-CHARGING time is long, but just plug them in over night OR just plug them in and keep using them! (easy fix)OVERALL:A great gaming headset that you can use all day and not have to worry about your head or ears hurting. That being said, if you're looking to get a good mic out this, you won't. The mic is the only reason I'm giving this headset 4 stars out of 5. If you want a good, low price mic, get a Blue Snowball. They're around $65. I've owned this headset for over a year now, and it's still going strong. Still not wearing out or showing signs its about to break or otherwise fail or malfunction. I use this headset almost strictly for playing PC games and using programs like Ventrilo, Teamspeak, and Mumble, although I have done some Netflix viewing and it excels in providing quality audio in all of these. Now, time for the lists:Pros:- Excellent audio quality, with software equalizer to tune to your tastes. (Note: Have not tested on music, I do -NOT- consider myself an "audiophile" or audio expert.)- Build construction overall feels solid- Comfortable even after long sessions (As a glasses-wearer, over the ear headsets often smash the ear pieces against my head making wearing them very uncomfortable, but not these!)- Large adjusting size. I have a very large head, these still fit great.- Durability. As previously mentioned, still going strong after a year.- Volume adjustment and buttons on ear cup are very convenient.- No batteries to change, and the USB charger has a built in USB port so you can plug the dongle into it while charging.Cons:- Mic boom feels a little flimsy.- Wife gets mad when I can't hear her talking to me, because these block outside noises so well.- I forget I'm searing them sometimes, and people look at me funny.- Extra long USB charging cord get stuck under my chair wheel.Final words: This is a purchase I have not regretted, and you won't either. I was somewhat concerned with going to a USB wifi solution over a traditional sound card and wired headset, but I am extremely satisfied with the result.

I was originally concerned with this headset because I have a relatively large head. I am always having issues finding hats that fit me, and rarely do I find a headset that fits. These ones fit me really comfortably, and can even go above my head size. They fit over my glasses, and seem light enough so that they really don't hurt after being on my head for any extended amount of time.My problem with this headset, is that they really don't seem very loud. I have my PC volume on full, my games are on full volume, and my headset volume is on full volume, and with everything on max, they are at a comfortable volume. Some games though, are so quiet, that ambient noise around me bleed in, and drown out what I am listening to. One game, the bass of the sounds, is extremely distorted.I am also spending way WAY too much time trying to tweak the settings to get them so that I can use them, and when I get lucky and get the settings right, the low volume level just nixes any excitement I originally had for them.I had a problem with the software it came with it, and had to uninstall it and download the updated program from Logitech itself.Also, the directions never did say the transmitter had to be plugged into the charger base itself, through trial and error, I figured it out myself.I will probably return these. I am very unhappy with them, shame too, I read it was getting good reviews.

Are these audiophile quality? No but then again, they don't cost $1000.00. They are excellent for what they are... a very reasonably priced, comfortable, wireless headset with really good sound. I do not use them for gaming but use them for video chat. In fact, I use them literally every night for at least an hour and have not had a single complaint on either side! I love them the only thing that would make them more ideal would be if they were bluetooth connected as opposed to a wireless dongle as it is kinda large. But you take your tradeoffs. Larger dongle, larger antenna, better reception and therefore better quality of sound and end user happiness with the product. All in all 5 stars for value, design and this end user's happiness with the product.

Like many others, the audio on this headset cuts out a lot. It is usually lasts for about 3 seconds and the reconnects. This happens about once every 5 - 10 minutes. It is frustrating to use. I will annoyingly drop off voice chat for a bit. I will also stop heading a song I am mostly through. It is terrible. If this were not an issue, these would be a great headset. As is, I cannot recommend this buggy headset.I have tried updating my logitech software and windows itself. Also tried various locations connected to my computer to try and find a better spot for the dongle (didn't work). Tried to have the headset powered off a different USB plug. I thought that getting a more expensive headset would be better than getting a cheap one, but I guess they are all the same in the end.
