I was at best buy and the only wireless headset I found with 7.1 surround was Turtle Beach and they wanted around 270 bucks for theirs with 7.1 digital Dolby. And couldn't get them to work with my PC no matter how I tried. The sound is incredible in this Logitech. Only problem I have so far is that if I don't use full 7.1 than I only get mono sound through one speaker of the headset. Probably something I haven't set up right though. Otherwise I am extremely happy with my purchase. And it works off of the same program that goes with my Logitech G19 keyboard too.

I had a little bit of trouble setting it up but the sound quality is exceptional. The only real complaint I have is that it didn't come with a USB Bluetooth adapter as shown in the picture, and the USB cable is quite short and is only practical for charging it.

Keeping it short. The G930 replaces a G35. G930 is much more comfortable. MUCH. Decent sound (G35 may sound a little better) but the G930 does not crush my head like some torture device like the G35 does. Good range maybe 40 feet in my house. Worked with PC instantly. I use it with EVE. Works with Mumble and Ventrilo. I haven't run out of charge during operation yet, so good there. I am not using it in 7.1 mode yet (no need) and if I do I will update this report.

Love the sound quality - I'm no expert but these sound great, picking up noises in games that I've played for ever but never heard...Range is great on the wireless, can walk from room to room without any loss of signal.Only down side is that the batter seems to last only 6 hours before needing to be plugged in again... the cord that comes with it works great and has a very long reach so there is no real complaint there.

Worked out of the box, great for VOIP. With the laptop upstairs, I was able to walk around the basement and continue a conversation without any issues. Only critique is the lack of cushion around the ears, kind of cheap.

There's a major design flaw. The plastic covers that go over the pivot point of the ear cups break. I have 3 of these and two have broken the same exact way. After doing some research it's a common problem. I would not suggest purchasing these because they will most likely break at some point. Also they do cut out occasionally, but come right back on.I liked these so much I purchased 3 sets. One broke and just received the replacement set and I notice a second set is now broke in the exact same way. The sound and range are great, so it's sad to see such a glaring problem that could have been easily avoided with a cheap solution of cheap metal covers instead of thin plastic ones at a stress point.

I decided to hop in and write a review about this good head pair, in sights that there is way too many 5 star reviews and that got me hooked into buying the headset. While there is a very good quality on the pair and software wise is fun and useful, there is two major drawbacks.The batteries are not for meant for the hardcore gamers. Did I get too used to my old Sennheiser TR120? The later had an awful hissing sound and got worse as time passed by. It did however hold a charge for 1 full day of music, games and skype. The G930 just seem not to cut it, even though I try to let it charge the full night so its ready for another day of fun. I end up using the charger around the last 2-3 hrs of the day. I guess it would not bother me as much if it had a cradle to sit on while not on use in the day...but it doesn't.The other disadvantage are random disconnects while I go through the kitchen. Is it the microwave? the fridge? It almost feel like its company'standard that designed them that way. "Let's have a good quality sound at all times or disconnect if not achievable"?Buyer beware.

Nothing about these headphones has disappointed me in any way. The sound quality is great for games, VOIP (Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Mumble, Skype), and even music. The mic is not intrusive when down and folds up neatly (and the auto-mute when up is great).The greatest feature for me is being able to bind one of the three G keys to Ventrilo's push-to-talk function.

Once again Logitech has put out a great product. These surround sound headphones deliver on their promise. Great acoustics, zero lag time, comfortable, great controls right on the headphones so you can adjust volume even when away from the source. I would order another pair if i had more ears! You wont be dissapointed with these.

Just received my Logitech Wireless Gaming headset and after charging it for 2 hours finally got to test it. I found the headset very uncomfortable with the square ear cups fitting very awkward. I do need to state that I wear glasses and that definately effects comfort. After wearing for about 30 minutes the ear pain where my glasses sat was unbearable. On the plus side the sound quality was excellent. If you wear glasses DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

just received my g930's today and they will be returned Monday i saw the other reviews about people saying the sound cut out and said to myself maybe ill get lucky and this wont happen to me ......i was wrong within 15 min of use the connection started to cut out every 5-10 min do not waste your money on these

So I had this for 3 weeks after being recommended by a friend. I wanted a wireless headset that fit OVER my ears, not touching them since I use them for long periods. These were the perfect match. I loved them.After a week I noticed a short couple beeps in my headphones, thinking nothing of it I kept using them, after 3 weeks I asked my friend and he said he did not have them. I then noticed the beep was actually the USB dongle disconnecting from the headset, the green light would go out, then flash and come back. It happened every 5 minutes. I tried using the new software from Logitech, it didn't help. I tried using different USB ports, didn't help. I tried using native Windows 7 drivers, it didn't help. I exchanged them with a new set.That day same issue with the new ones, called Logitech since I found I was not the only one with the problem, on teh Logitech forums many folks had this issue. Called support, they really didn't know, so I decided to RMA them back for a refund.With the headset disconnecting, it is a useless device. You may get lucky, and then again, you may have them until your return period is up then it starts to fail...so buyer beware. I am now trying to decide if I want the wired version or just another brand assuming I can find one that truly fits over the ear.

Oh what a feeling. I walk around between floors with the sound as good as sitting next to the PC. There is no outside noise so I am totally in the game. Great. I recommend it highly.

Opted to get the g930 after Days upon days of research. I originally wanted to get the playstation headset but decided not to since it only supports 2.0 stereo on pc. The sound is amazing and truly feels like the sound does surround You, the base is deep and sound never crackles. Average battery lasts me about 8 hours and can be used while the headset is recharging. The only con is that it can't be used on ps3 or Xbox 360, other than that this is an amazing headset, don't debate, it's well worth it.

I have been using this set for over a year now. I was happy with the surround sound and the wireless capability. It is a bit pricey, but I like the comfort of the set. I liked it so much I bought my son one. I highly recommended it to some friends and now two of my friends have bought this set. We all play BF3 and have had no issues with the support. The most I enjoy is being able to chat with friends in between games and joking with them. The set does get warm, I am assuming because of body heat, but I don't notice it until I take them off. The fact that the mic mutes when you move the boom up is excellent. Volume controll on the side of the ear is a plus. The battery seems to last for about 3-4 hours of play with a warning when it gets low. The chargin wire is long enough to use while I charge. Also, our voices are clear and we seem never to cut each other off when talking. Big thumbs up!

So far - very satisfied. Comfortable fit, easy to adjust volume control, does not require software installation if you don't want to use 7.1 sound (I did not install it after reading some complaints about it), good base, good noise insulation, people on the other end hear me well. For $90 dollars - great headset.Some downsides: may feel a bit bulky for some; your ears might sweat a bit (especially if you want to exercise wearing this set). I'd give it 5 stars if it had a little more ventilation but it is probably not possible for over-the-ear cups.

This is a great wireless gaming set. 7.1 surround works well. Have great fun with voice changer! Still gauging the battery life as it seems a little short but if kept plugged in while not using will be fine im sure.

The reason I'm giving this 1 star is because of the auto shut off feature. If you have no sound coming from your headset, the headset will automatically turn off after a while. There is NO way to disable this. As someone who usually uses speakers and only uses the headset for talking occasionally, it's a huge inconvenience. Half the time when I actually need to talk, the headset has turned off. I was expecting much better from a $130 headset from logitech.

I've had a few other surround sound headsets and the wire that goes into the earpiece was always shorting out and causeing some speakers not to work. I would have to return it, wait for a replacement only to have them do the same thing again. This headset eliminates that issue. There are no wires! The "surround sound" sounds pretty damn good and they are very comfortable. The mic works great and the wireless is awesome. I would deffinately recommend this product to anyone that games at night or uses vent/teamspeak/mumble.

I purchased this on August 5th, 2011. Audio was "all-right" out of the box. The 7.1 surround didn't work at the time I purchased it, they have since released a driver sometime during the fall/november 2011 time period (years after first manufacture). Sound improved quite a bit after the driver release. The microphone doesn't always stop transmission when you swivel it above your head like stated, the red light could be on but still transmit. After about 6 months, I started having problems getting the headset to turn on and stay on, it would cut off after a few seconds, and the battery life decreased dramatically from 6-8 hours to only 1-2 hours. After 8 months, the headset comes on for 5 seconds and plays a screeching noise, after troubleshooting, screeching noise gone, headset still refuses to stay on, even when plugged into USB. Looking at the forums it seems to be a common problem, wish I had done more research before hand.

I had been researching wireless headsets for quite some time and decided to splurge a bit for the G930 and am truly amazed! I am a gamer and the surround sound does make an incredible difference. I never knew what I was missing with my standard $40 wired headsets. One important note: you need to download the latest software from the web site, which give you far more options on what you can do with the buttons beyond the interface that came on the disk.I LOVE this thing!!!

Simply put this head set is awesome.This device was comfortable to wear, easy to install and the sound is amazing. Installed from the disk, then located the software from the Logitech site and installed from there, works great. Easily meets the 40' range, and still very clear. i highly recommend this item for anyone who wears a headset for any length of time for any reason - additionally the mic is very clear and adjusts easily.Awesome product, worth every penny.

I took back my World of Warcraft headphones yesterday after one year of using them. The signal started to go out constantly which you can read up on those head phones.Cons: I have had these Logitech ones for less than 24 hours and the sound quality is garbage compared to the WOW ones made by CREATIVE. Also the muffs are not as comfy. I just can't get over the crackle sound constantly.Pros: I like the MIC flip, I like the charging cord that also has a USB port built in. Volume control and other controls on the side of the muff are sweet.I will be taking these back to Best Buy as soon as my new CREATIVE ones get here.My Use: I work from home so Skype, Gaming, and Loud Music. This is the only crappy product I have ever gotten from Logitec.

I was looking for a set of wireless headphones that could replace my wired headphones. I needed something that would let me hear the true beauty in my in-game music, something that would accentuate the mid, high, and bass tones that make games so dramatic. I bought these headphones at Fry's electronics for about $120, based on some reviews that I read on various sites, including Amazon.Unfortunately, when I got them home, unwrapped them, and tried them out, there was an extremely annoying crackling sound coming out of the left ear piece. I searched all over the internet for a solution. I finally decided to check the logitech site for answers. It turns out that they had updated software available. I downloaded and installed the software and now the headphones sound AWESOME! The crackle is gone. The software includes voice changing software, and equalizer, and the ability to map the G buttons to custom functions.I would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone looking for high quality sound from wireless headphones!

These headphones are amazing. It took a good ten minutes to stop getting freaked out and looking over my shoulder from ambient sounds in my game. The surround capabilities are superb, and you'll think the sound is coming from the room you're in. When a wolf howled in the game, I thought it was coming from my backyard for a minute. Bass is strong, mids are clear, and highs are crisp. 5/5 stars.

Now, just to start off, let me just say that nothing comes close to this headset as an overall product for 120 dollars from Amazon. Don't even bother reading my review, just buy it, I promise you'll love it!PROS:Range is much more than 40 feet with open doors: I left some doors open between my computer and the headset, and I was able to get 50-60 feet of perfect sound. Now, don't buy it expecting that, as my house layout may be a better design for this, but I wanted to state my observation right off.The G-Keys allow for easy shortcuts for basic programs, and plugins allow for G-Key use with other programs such as Skype.THE SOUND QUALITY IS AMAZING! Coming from a stereo headset, I was completely dumbfounded by the difference. The 7.1 surround sound is tremendous.Loud Joints are NOT a problem for me at all. The entire construction feels really solid, looks good and makes no noise whatsoever. The memory foam also is very pleasing to me :)The G930 looks amazing too, the semi-matte finish is superb, and its thought put into the design really shows.The Fit is fantastic, the squeeze on your head others have mentioned because of the metal headband goes away within an hour, and it fits over your ears comfortably.Basically, this is my BEST purchase I've made in years, the value is amazing and I can bet my socks that nothing will come close to the G930 in price-to-performance! (I have expensive socks, by the way.)The Mic works amazing, and Dragon Dictation is twice as good!The Voice Morphing and G930 software work as advertised, and I find I use it more than I thought I would!Cons:There is a bit of noise leakage to the outside world from the headphones, but that doesn't bother me at all.The Noise cancelling is the only thing that gets 4/5 from me (the rest is all 6/5).Summary:By the damn thing! It's so amazing and I know you will not regret your purchase! G930 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very disappointed with these head sets base was awful you could the speakers cracking even at a low volume! As far as surround they should not even be advertised that way! There are two speakers in these headphones so I only heard left and right sounds! Never front or back!Amazon is great! They took these back with no problems!

Great gaming set good sound quality very durable. I have this head set running on windows 7 64bit pro perfectly fine. Battery last a good 8 hours for me atleast. Don't be discourage. By other review I recently bought these and they did come withsoftware and a manuals. Very easy to install and run. Only flaw is some games don't support the 7.1 surround so u can have some interferance with sounds. for example dead island doesn't support 7.1 so its constantly makes poping sounds you manually have to change you sound settting to 5.1 dolby atleast for that game v.v. but left 4 dead supports 7.1 and bf3 and the sound quality brings tears to my eyes, I never thought u could hear so much detail in game till tried these head sets. The mic works great on all voips and I can say u really do get what you paid for. One last thing you can use them while charging unlike many wireless head sets. So no having to lose any conversation cause of a dead battery just plug and play =D

These headphones are easily the best headphones I have ever had, they do a pretty fair of cancelling out the noise and if you have some music going on then they are even better for noise cancelling! The also have a button to mute you mic that turns on a visible(when the headphones are being worn) red light that will turn on to remind you it is muted. The software comes with some pretty cool stuff too, voice changers and other settings. The wireless function on these are incredible, I live in a multistory house and am able to go all the way down to the lower levels and still have the audio/mic work flawlessly! Seem to be very sturdy build quality, I would easily buy this product again.

This headset would be great, if it worked wirelessly. Ever since I've had it I have had issues with wireless. At first, every once in a while, the sound would stop while the headset disconnects/re-connects to the receiver. After a couple months, it began to happen every 1 minute (or less). Logitech replaced the headset, but the new headset has the exact same issue. I've tried different computers (desktop/laptops), and even tried disabling my wireless router and other wireless (i.e., bluetooth) devices. The headset would still repeatedly disconnect!I'm guessing it could have something to do with the other wireless networks in my vicinity (apartment). So, if you plan to use this in a dorm, apartment, or somewhere with a more than a couple wireless networks of some kind, look elsewhere. If you're confident there isn't significant wireless interference, these headsets are probably good.I'm about to just throw it in the trash because it's so frustrating to pay so much for a device that doesn't work.

The Logitech G930 is an excellent product! Easy to use straight out of the packaging, plug and play, great sound quality - made my cheaper headphones sound truly flat in comparisson, really good battery life and you can plug them into charge and still use them, with the cord attached - great if you run low of juice in the middle of an epic all nighter gaming session! Best headphones I've ever had, well worth price!

Works as expected. Great sound and range. Only complaint is a lack of support for integrating with TeamSpeak. Hopefully, that will be available soon. I wasted money on two other wired headsets before I finally spent the extra money on this. No regrets.

I'm usually very satisfied with Logitech products, but this item is the exception. It is well made, but there is an issue with the wireless connection that I cannot solve.It worked fine for the first week and then the signal would drop and I would have to reset the wireless dongle to get it to work once more. While not the most convenient solution, it worked this way for another week or two until today.Now it seems that even a reset is ineffective at connecting the signal. For those curious - I do not have a wireless router or any other wireless devices in my home so interference is a non-issue. I did see that other recipients of this product have had the same problem after reading the Logitech Forums, however, it seems that there is no response from Logitech directly in any effort to solve this problem for their customers.I wouldn't say that this one experience has put me off of as a Logitech customer, but I would strongly caution those considering purchasing this headset. Until the whole wireless interference (or whatever it may be) is solved, I'll reluctantly be staying with wired headsets.

These headphones actually produce decent sound for gaming and have a decent range. The battery lasts a good 8 hours or so as well. If you are into listening to music with deep bass, don't bother with these.They worked fine for about a year or so and then the plastic on the right head phone broke. I had to duct tape it back. Then, the microphone plastic snapped. I use them daily, but I'm not rough with them at all. If you buy these, expect a year out of them.

Length:: 3:08 MinsThe G930 is, without a doubt, yet another quality winner product from Logitech.I own some Creative/SteelSeries gaming headphones and some $300+ headphones, but the Logitech G930 headphone is definitely on the top of the list for giving your gaming experience to the next level, producing a very impressive immersive surround sound feel - and it's wireless!I played StarCraft 2, some racing games (NFS Hot Pursuit), Call of Duty: Black Ops, Metro 2033, Portal 2, etc. with this headphone and it truly feels like being surrounded in the environment.It's almost cheating having these headphones because it's clear on the direction of the sound is coming from.Unlike Creative's wireless headphone, I love that Logitech's receiver is a dongle with no wires to deal with. Logitech took it further and included a "charging base", which also acts as a USB extension.On the left side of the headphone is where all the controls are at.- power switch (you have to hold)- switch to enable the "7.1 surround sound" mode (turning it off will lose out the surround sound, but it will still make the sound more direct to your ear)- Volume wheel- Mute button- 3 G-keysThe software also allows you to fine-tune/control how much sound you want to receive on each direction.The headphone ear cups are large and should cover the entire ear, giving a secluded feel.For around $100, it's a bargain. Definitely recommend even if you're not a gamer. It's great even for movies.

The G930 was used by me in my home office, mainly to conduct Skype conferencing. I read all the reviews about its capabilities, and since I have a Mac I didn't expect much since the software is only for the PC. So while the G930 didn't really play well with the Mac, I had no unexpected issues there. But my main complaint is that after two months the battery won't hold a charge for more than 30 minutes of use. And even after you plug it in, it can't be used while plugged in to charge. It's now worthless to me. I'd not advise purchasing this headset.

All in all Product is perfect. Software is slightly glitchy.Im using Win7 Enterprise X64.Pros:-Everything that is given on specs work. Voice morph, 7.1, buttons etc.-The build is strong and wont break easily-Battery life is as predicted (between 2.5 - 10 hours)Cons: The software bugs are a problem, here's a few i had:-The software doesn't pick up the headset after restart (to fix, plug out and plug dongle back in.)-The buttons on headset doesn't respond (to fix try unplugging the headset dongle, plug back in with headset switched off, then switch on headset.)The noise that can be heard on videos is sometimes the encoding video and might not be made for surround sound. Or its caused by external interference which i found can be avoided.PS. Remember that the red light on the mic means your mic is muted.To turn your sound to play through speakers while the headset is plugged in, set the speakers to default output device instead of the headset.With bugs and all its the perfect gaming and performance headset
