I had the Hori Racing Wheel 3 before this one.It takes a little bit to get used to the pull around the curves on the wheel.As soon as you understand the feel of traction it is like Driving a REAL Car!!!For instance- Just like in real life the tires have a certain resistance to turn on the road at different speeds. Same thing with this wheel!The pedals are sensitive just like a real car.The real time adjustment button is great!The vibration is really immersive too!Recommend all the way, especially if you have GT5!

This wheel is absolutely great!!!It is very responsive, and the feedback is awesome. When used with GT5, the experience is so amazing. I couldnt decide on which wheel to buy. I considered the G27, Fanatec GT3, and Fanatec Carrera, but after taking the price of each into consideration and the performance of the DFGT, I know I bought the right wheel. The DFGT is soooooo smooth and very accurate. It is also very attractive. The center button lights up and the wheel has a nice rubber design that is very comfortable. The pedals are not bad, but are definately not the best part of this package. According to the reviews, I was expecting some horrible, limp pedals, but they are pretty damn good if you play barefoot. I really really like this wheel, and I'm not easily satisfied. You will not be dissapointed with this wheel. I have played this wheel with Dirt 2,Gran Turismo 5, and NFS Shift. Dirt and Gran Turismo 5 are great...NFS Shift is okay, but then again, the game itself is not that great. Be prepared to spend some time practicing, because if this is your first wheel, you will get frustrated making the transition from the controller to the wheel. Overall, you will love this wheel...so go get it!!!

Bought this with the expectation that it would feel like I was at the arcade. You are better off going to the arcade. I would sit the racing wheel on my lap and I would lose control over it playing Gran Turismo. Unless you have the Racing wheel stand for this you might not like it. I know I didn't.

Works very well. makes the game MUCH easier/more realistic feeling. Very satisfied with the product. Not much bad to say.If I had one complaint, it would be a more secure clamping mechanism. It works very well, but there have been a few, minor, occasions where when navigating some intense turns, the clamps slip a little loose. Never has affected the outcome significantly...but would be one area for improvement.Maybe some more gripping rubber? a locking mechanism? Dont' read too much into this though..it's not all the time, and it's not like the wheel flies across the room or anything. It just simply slips a little bit. On the Next straight-away, you pause the game...tighten the clamp back up, and you're good to go for a few days of heavy use.

I bought the Driving Force GT Racing Wheel because I had always wanted a steering wheel/pedal controller for a racing game since GT3. I had bought Dirt3 to use with the Driving Force. The wheel plugged in and starting working with the game right away. The response from the wheel and pedals is very good and there are adjustments that can be made with the wheel controls, but I have not had the need yet to tweak any of the settings. The wheel has very nice tactile feedback through the steering wheel. Going over rough surfaces you can feel it through the wheel. The shifter is sequential like nature (up and down only), no gated gears. This did not bother me too much as I set my game to use sequential shifting, but just be aware of this if you were looking for realistic shifting. The pedal feel is pretty good with good braking and I am able to modulated the gas pretty good. Overall for anyone looking for a pretty wheel at a good price, I would definitely recommend you pick this one up.

Excellent for PS3 games. Works well. Great warranty. Dog chewed a wire and they replaced the entire unit for free in less than 2 weeks. strongly recommended.

I purchased the new Gran Turismo 5 (NOT THE Prologue version), and after playing for a few hours with a PS3 Controller, i felt that the game was just "ok". So i went ahead and purchased this Steering Wheel, and MY GOSH! I no longer SLEEP. The Force-Feedback is just strong and incredible, you can feel the actual road with this thing (eg., Dirt road, you feel the vibration of the tires hitting the rocks). It supports the full 900 degree turn, so turning the car is VERY realistic. It also has pedal shifters on the back of the steering wheel.The Build Quality as fantastic, i feel like this thing won't break on me at all! It's a very sturdy item. It's easy to connect on the PS3, literally, plug-n-play.A few Cons, the Gas and Brake pedals are raised a little bit to high, so it's really hard to go from Gas to Brake quickly. Also the gas pedal doesn't feel as sturdy as the more expensive G25/G27. You MUST have a good stand to mount the wheel in (preferably a Big Sturdy Desk). In carpet the base of the pedal is GREAT, however, if placed on hardwood floors, it moved a little bit. There is NO clutch but that really isn't a huge deal for me. Also the Pedal shifters on the back are 2 small buttons, so when turning the wheel, it makes it hard to shift down or up.IF you HAVE the money get the Logitech G27 (roughly $300), that one features a DUAL force feedback motor for a VERY smooth REALISTIC feel of the car, a legit 6 speed shifter, clutch, and better placed pedal shifters.OVERALL for the money, this thing is simply Excellent. (Got it for $99.99 on Amazon, Free and FAST shipping!)Please Note: A few reviews here didn't give this item so great of a rating, this is because every game from PC or PS3 will VERY on how this Item performs. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Gran Turismo 5 will give you the FULL experience, as this item was specifically made for that game!

Realistic. Well constructed. Works great. Loads of fun. A must if you like driving NASCAR and f1. I can't see how you can race competitively without it. You won't be disappointed with this wheel.

It is so amazing how the real to life driving experience was captured... the only thing missing is the adrenaline rush you get from actually driving the car. Even though there is some level of adrenaline rush and excitement!! I love it!

If you don't have it, buy it. It's a completely different experience to drive with this. But still, it could be better! There's one thing I don't like about it, and is the pull made by the wheel intended to simulate the pull made during the turns. This pull does not simulate the real pull made by the wheel and sometimes it pushes the wheel when it is not supposed to, so you might find yourself fighting with the wheel once in a while.

The Driving Force GT enhances the experience of Gran Turismo 5 for PS3 somewhat, but it also creates a very expensive game by requiring additional investment of money and hassle.The product itself is great, no complaints at all. But without a highly stable, solid fixed surface to which to mount it, it is worse than worthless. Because of the force feedback, trying to use it in your lap detracts significantly from the game. Some sort of ergonomic, solid mounting surface is absolutely required for this product.Coffee tables, desks, end tables and such may work for some people but I suspect these are not viable long-term solutions for the way most casual enthusiasts will want to play in even moderately serious sessions. I suspect most gamers prefer to play from the couch or easy chair for maximum comfort and enjoyment.Custom mounting solutions exist of course (if you can find any that are actually available) and these look excellent - but they cost at least $100 more (in addition to the game itself and the wheel), and most cost significantly more than that. The handy can probably rig up their own outfits, but not without investing significant time and some money for materials.Adding it all up, GT5 now becomes not just a great $60 game but basically a $300-plus endeavor, at minimum. This is insignificant to the most hard-core sim racing fanatics of course, but casual enthusiasts will have just as much fun playing that excellent game with standard controllers and skip the additional hassle and expense. The relatively minimal experience enhancement just isn't worth it, in my opinion.Nothing against this product itself - it's great - but in the final analysis overall, I wish I hadn't bought mine.

Using this steering wheel with Gran Turismo 5. My seven year old and I have been having a blast with it. MUCH better than the standard S3 controller.Highly recommend, however, you will need a table or stand to set the wheel up and something to keep the pedals from sliding on hardwood floors.My wife was not happy with our temporary duct tape solution for the pedals. ;@)

Mine just arrived today and it was worth waiting for, as painful as the wait was.I had been running Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3 using the regular PS3 controllers and while workable, it wasn't intuitive or realistic.The force feedback feels great though as others have mentioned there is a little bit of a dead band that I may open it up and see if I can tighten up a bit. What happens is on a straight, when making fine steering adjustments the force feedback may make the wheel go back and forth a little. It also may just take getting used to.What is also nice is being able to look to the side when driving. Maybe there is a way to program the PS3 controller to do that, but on the wheel it is really easy with all the buttons and paddles in finger's reach.All in all, a wheel of some kind is a must-have for GT5. This wheel seems very sturdy and nicely finished. The grippers that clamp it down wouldn't fit my coffee table but that won't be it's home anyway. The carpet gripper on the pedal set is cleverly done and makes a huge difference.I have no problem at all recommending the Logitech Driving Force GT. I'm glad I finally got my hands on one. I didn't get mine at Amazon, unfortunately. I tried to but they never got it in stock. Computer heads will know a good alternative. They are out again now too but will send an e-mail notice when they are back in stock if you want. That's what I did and pounced as soon as I saw the e-mail.

I've only tried this wheel with GT5 so far, but on that it's absolutely horrible.The force feedback is totally bizarre and unconnected to any real thing that happens in cars. It just seems to kick in the motor and want to fight you, or do this weird auto-recenter thing when you hit a straight. It's very annoying and unrealistic.

Don't have a lot of racing games, but after playing this baby with GT5 in a friend's house, I just had to get me one for myself. The wheel is great, great response and a must for racing fans. I really can't add much from the other reviews. Basically this is a must buy for GT5 owners, they go hand in hand. also works great with midnight club LA. too bad it doesn't work so well with GRID which is also a racing game I like.

Steering wheel was very well packaged, promptly delivered. Setup was easy. Delivered on the more realistic driving experience. Driving was more thrilling, satisfying with the force feedback. Need a lower seat and table for long term driving comfort. Excellent purchase!!

This product is great! I was hesitant to purchase it for my GT5. After a month of playing the game on my PS3, I still felt I had room to improve. However, I felt that my PS3 controller was limiting me. Most specifically, entering and exiting corners and excellerating and de-excellerating are the major points of interest that I wanted to improve on. This wheel, with foot pedels does just that! After a bit of re-learning and adjustment to using the controller, I started noticing changes in lap times decreasing by the seconds.This controller has improved my game experience greatly and made driving on GT5 very addictive. Even my brothers who first teased for the excess of having it, have done 180's and see how fun it will make all your supported racing games ones you try it. It's totally worth it if you can afford skipping a couple future game purchase in place of this driving wheel. You'll forget about even wanting to play those future games anyways as all you'll be doing is racing all the time.

Excellent build quality, very solid with great force feedback. The clamping system is good and keeps the wheel in place during tight turns. Really improves your overall driving experience once you come a custom to it versus a contoller. This is a outstanding product in its price range. Dont hesitate its a great driving experience.

Works great with Grand Turismo 5 but no so much with Test Drive Unlimited 2. With TDU2 there is not much force feedback when steering and it vibrates very annoyingly every couple of minutes. But with GT5 it works quite well. Just have to get used to it as for now i'm faster with the controller than with he wheel. It was a great price so i had to get it.

Need for Speed is awesome with this wheel. Dirt3 is great too. I couldn't stand playing NFS with the dualshock controller, but this wheel makes NFS a blast.Note that this doesn't work with Grand Theft Auto IV, but as I've heard it explained, you're doing lots of stuff in that game besides driving, so it would make sense that the wheel wouldn't work with the game.

Games I Tried: The Logitech Driving Force GT is one of the best steering wheels you can buy and the price is crazy awesome for such great quality. The games I have tried it out on are: Gran Turismo HD, Burnout Paradise, GRID, and Need for Speed Shift. Everything ive tried except nfs shift worked AWESOMELY. In GRID you can feel the tiny bumps in the road and feel the gears change just like real, and the game recognizes the wheel and actually has customization settings in the pause menu to let you make the wheel more comfortable, grid is definately a game to get for the wheel. In Burnout Paradise you get overwhelmed with speed and power and its just so crazy awesome with the wheel. Gran Turismo HD doesnt have all the capabilities and isnt as good as gran turismo 5 prolouge only because the wheel was actually made for gt5p, but gthd is still pretty realistic.Yet the one game thats been a disapointment SO FAR has been NFS Shift ,,its a great game but it seems like your car wants to swerve around by itself with the wheel, so I suggest renting the game if you dont already have it if you're planning on playing the game with the wheel. Cons: There are some bad things that I didnt like. The fine tune adjustment dial ONLY works for GT5 prolouge. The PS button ONLY works (so far that I know) for GT5 and NFS Shift ( go figure ). The stick shift barely gos up and down, just a little click,but I got used to it. It was a bit tough to find something to attach the wheel to considering my coffey table was quite good enough, but i figured it out pretty good. And the big thing is the cords, you got a cord going from the pedals to the wheel, a cord connecting the wheel to the PS3 so its not wireless if you thought it was, and A CORD GOING FROM THE WHEEL TO THE WALL!!! the only purpose of the power cable is for the force feedback for some reason, so if you dont care for the force feedback then you wont need the power cable. Cool Stuff: First when you plug everything in the wheel starts to turn by itself calibrating, and I was justSuper-Excited at that point. In Burnout especially, when you jump a hill the wheel gets really lose and when you land it jerks over just like it really would. The GT symbol in the middle is actually lights up. In Grid especially, you can feel the bumps in the road and feel the gears change. The wheel turns 1.25 times both ways like it says and it actually works right. LOOKS CLASSY BUT POWERFUL! Pedals have a retractable grip on the bottom. Has Pad shifters on the back of the wheel if you dont like to use the regular shifter. The GT symbol is also supposed to be a horn, but I haven't found any games capable of it. I HIGHLY SUGGEST GETTING THIS WHEEL OVER THE REST!!! Unless you want to shell out an extra $200 for a six-speed shifter and a clutch, you should save money considering i bought mine for $60 not including shipping and saved around $250. I have even heard a couple people say that they got a copy of GT5 prolouge for free, but i didnt,,,i wasnt expecting it though..........BUY THE WHEEL!!!NOW!!!

This is my first force wheel and at first use I was wondering why the wheel seem to be fighting me and taking the car in a different direction to where I was trying to steer it. Then after several attempts trying to steer the darn thing I realized duh... that's what the force in force GT is for it's suppose to simulate REAL!! race car driving action.I've heard others complain of the gear pedals on the steering wheel being stiff to press, I find they work great for manual driving. Maybe it's because I don't have any other wheel with gear pedals to compare it to but I'm glad they are there since I hardly ever use the sequential gear shift. I may only use the sequential if I lost control of the car and was fighting to regain control. In such cases it comes in handy, since when you lose control of the car your fingers aren't always ideally placed to make a quick gear change with the pedals.As far as the little red dial on the wheel goes I haven't used it as yet, so I can't make a comment on that really.The brake and gas pedals are responsive plus the brake pedal can be adjusted for game play once you are at the level and have the specs to do so. All in all this is an excellent wheel and once used with GT5 as it was intended, these two are a perfect match!If you are tired of using the six axis controller to steer and want realism GET THIS WHEEL! Enough said. I shouldalso note this wheel works best with gt force compatible games, so be certain it's compatible with the game you have or intend to buy.

Bought this for PC racing(Iracing). Works great and is easy to install. Lap times were better after switching to this wheel!
