Well sure its not 'exactly' like driving a real car. Sometime the wheel will start to twitch and fight against turning it. And the force feedback is strong enough where you really need a sturdy surface to mount it on. But it does make GT5 more fun then using a duel shock.

Logitech seems to have a firm grip on the console wheel market and i can see why. It does everything it suppose to, giving new life to whatever old, tired driving games in your game library.The only thing i dont like is rumble feedback. It sounds horrible and its kinda loud.

Bought this for my 15 year old son. He's happy. It did not come with a power adaptor, but fortunately we had one that works.

I use this wheel for IRacing and it hasn't let me down. Ive had mine for 2 years now and it still works great. I originally got this to hold me over until i could afford the more expensive wheels, but this one worked so well I still use it.

This is used on our Ps3. Set up as soon as we plugged it in. No issue at all except we have nothing to connect the wheel to for easy handling. We expected to be able to just hold it in the lap. Not a bit issue and certainly not something the company could have prevented thought they could have made something for it. :)

The brake pedal is far too soft. I've taken to placing a small squeeze ball behind the pedal to increase the braking force required. I purchased this wheel when it was first released, and have been using it to grind through The Ring, Spa, Le Mans and other wonderful tracks in GT5 ever since. I have not had the opportunity to try any of the competition, so I can't say how it compares, but the wheel works fine except for my complaint above.

in control settings, turn feedback to at least 90% power... and turn dead zone between 35%-45%. barely hold steering wheel to the right to go straight.

It does the job for casual playing, but not as good as the older Momo version I had for the PC before; a wireless option would make it even better if it was at this price point

My husband purchased this Racing Wheel for use with our PS3. He did some research on which steering wheel would be the best for what he wanted and this one is the one that stood out. Even our two-year-old played the racing game with him!

Overall I feel the wheel is worth the price. It makes playing the game much more fun. The handling is good and the feedback response makes the experience more realistic. It's easy to learn and to set up. I would recommended it to people that are new to racing simulators.

This wheel I got used, like new. It met the conditions. This wheel is awesome. I love it. It responds quickly, and the feedback is outstanding! The only con to this particular item for me is that the brake is slightly glitchy, but it comes and goes. It is not too much of a bother though. All in all, this wheel is awesome, and I would recommend it to anyone.

If you like racing games you will love this. You feel as if you are racing a car as you get pretty surprising feedback from the steering wheel. I did not get the stands but would recommend that you do.

I'll try to keep this short and only list the Pros and Cons I find with this. And though there may be more cons, that is more down to my preferences rather than the quality of the product. I am not the die hard sim racer as some might be and I've been using the controllers to race for 20 years of gaming so I don't really want to make my gripes with it distort the image of the product.Pros:Decent size. Not as big as my car wheel as I initially thought it would be, but thats a good thing since it makes for easier storage. And it's not so small you think you're in a go kart.More control. Of both your steering and the buttons on the wheel also allow you to change certain car settings that cannot be changed otherwise in a race.Great feel to the pedals.Lots of buttons. Equals lots more options to control with, and all are customizable.Maybe not Cons (these are just things I as a controller player for so long have slight difficulty adjusting to):Force feedback. More than what I expected, so I turned it down to a minimum. I wish I could turn it off but I know people used to it cannot do without it.GT5 doesn't use the full 900 degrees. Which sometimes makes me wish it didn't turn 3.5 times around, so it would be easier for me to know when I have the wheels fully locked. Different cars lock at different angles too I've noticed, so you may have to turn it more for an Impreza vs a Corvette."Paddle Shifters" are just buttons at the back of the wheel. Con-ish because they spin with the wheel vs stationery paddles, but not so bad cause at least they are there.Cons:Wires. And lots of wires. I would have loved if this was wireless bluetooth like the rest of my PS3 accessories. I have to store this away when I'm done with it so the wires are demotivating.The shift stick. It's like 2 buttons disguised as one knob. Not what I expected, I thought and would have loved to be pushing it forward and back as I would in a tiptronic car, but that is not the case.Reversing is very difficult. If you crash, you will lose a lot more time than with a controller. I haven't found an effective spot to put the reverse button so I can reverse and steer comfortably. At the moment it's on the stick.When the wheel is centered, there is a loose feeling to it for +/- 15 degrees or so. Because of the loose feeling it is made all the more difficult to keep your car steady going straight at high speeds.Now with all that said, I only paid $100 for it (on sale) and I feel I got what I paid for. Not the best out their, but for the price compared to what is better, a great quality product. I'm guessing I expected a bit more out of it but really there isn't that much to complain about.

If anyone is considering this item, I strongly recommend it. It makes the genres a little more challenging but the feel of real drive IDs amazing. This makes all driving games a blast!

Excellent buy for the price. Especially w/ GT5. Love the adjust on the fly button. Why spend so much on the G27 unless you are an avid racer. This wheel is great for most gamers who don't want to spend 2 1/2-3 times as much.Had some inital issues with packaging and paperwork missing but Buy Accessories went out of their way to mak sure I was satisfied. Would buy from them again.

I have the good fortune to have a friend who owns a G27, and I borrowed it for a few weeks before picking up the Driving Force GT wheel, after deciding the 6-speed gate shifter was overkill for me. Plenty of other folks have done a great job of reviewing how well the GT works with various games, so this review is primarily intended to clarify the differences between the GT and the G27 beyond the obvious (clutch pedal and separate 6-speed gate shifter pod only with G27). The substantial differences are:-Gear noise: the G27 uses helical gears for smoother, quieter action, though the road feel and feedback are pretty much identical between the two.-Pedals are stiffer on the G27, though the GT still differentiates stiffness between accelerator and brake.-GT has better button layout for PS3, with labels for start, select, X, square, triangle, O, L1-3, R1-3, and PS button (I could not find a PS button on the G27 and the rest are not labeled at all). I have not had the opportunity to use the red dial for real-time adjustments but suspect it would not get much use - once the car is going around the track I'm more focused on driving it than tuning it. A subset of button layout, the paddle shifters are easier to grab on the G27 (big stainless steel paddles v. plastic buttons on the back of the GT's arms) but because they are so big I occasionally grab them accidentally while using hand-over-hand action on really tight corners.Neither has really satisfying gear shifting; the GT is a simple toggle forward/back for down/up so you don't expect much from it but even the G27's 6-speed gate shifter comes across as rather sterile due to the lack of heavy tactile feedback. Maybe this is just because the wheel feedback is so amazing by comparison. My buddy says he wants to add some bushings to the G27 to improve the shifter feel. The extra pod also presents a mounting challenge - I clamped a board underneath my table, jutting out so I could mount the shifter to it in an appropriate relationship to the wheel and seat positions, but this allowed some vertical movement that made the push-down reverse function trickier.You probably knew most of the conclusion already, but here it is: if you want to build the ultimate simulator with a dedicated racing seat and bracket for the 6-speed shifter, and don't mind the extra cost, you want the G27, just watch out for those big paddle shifters and be prepared to use a separate controller to activate the X-menu. At less than half the cost, if you don't need the 6-speed shifter and don't mind a little gear whine when you start whipping the wheel around, the GT provides the same wheel feedback, still helps you feather the throttle and brake, and even has a nicer button layout.I might have given the GT 5 stars if I hadn't experienced the G27 first - now I know how quiet the gearing could be, and slightly stiffer pedal springs would also be nice.

Fun PS3 accessory. Can't drift you car very well with it though. Easy to set up. Looks realistic. I would recommend this product to any game enthusiast.
