I lucked-out in finding this on sale for $70 during the 2008 Boxing Day sale, it has changed the way I play and enjoy racing games. I've used this wheel with Gran Turismo Prologue, Burnout Paradise, Need for Speed: Shift and most recently Gran Turismo 5.The Great:- Amazing build quality.- Great button layout.- Awesome feedback.- Best value for a premium wheel I've ever seen.- Mounting is easy and quick (once you actually find something convenient to mount it on).The "Meh":- I wish it didn't need to be plugged into a power outlet.- Finding a mounting solution for almost any wheel is a pain (I use a three legged table end I bought from the Ikea AS-IS section for $15, it works pretty well).- The calibration procedure is a bit annoying (it spins the wheel all the way back and forth once when powered on or when connecting to a game).- I guess it doesn't necessarily work with every racing game... But it works with all the ones I care to play.The Bad:- I wish this retailed for a bit less so more of my friends could afford it.

well this wheel is great feel but i guess i dont really like it that much, tired on the PS3 with some games waste really that great infact i think i done better off with my controller, tired to do some calibration but still pretty much the same... maybe should try the new G27 instead. anw still make an good entry level wheel for those that want to get their hands on one to play around with.

Ok let me start off by saying this wheel looks very nice. Especially in person. One of my first impressions was that the quality of the wheel was excellent. Everything was extremely solid and it felt very nice in my hands. The force feedback takes some getting used to but is also terrific. I will never go back to my controller again! Also this wheel allows you to change the settings of the car while racing in GT5, which is pretty neat.This is an absolute bargain for the $99 i paid for it! There is absolutely no way the G27 can be 3X better for 3X the price. To my suprise, after a full week of playing with (and abusing) the wheel with GT5, I have no complaints whatsoever. Easy as hell to set up and everything is very durable. Unlike other people I think the pedals are actually good. (Maybe Logitech upgraded the quality??) At $99, this is an absolute no-brainer.Sidenote: I got the wheel only 3 days after ordering it from Amazon. Gotta love the free shipping!

I bought this new last week and have been testing it on different games since then (GT5:P, GTR2). On a PC with GTR2 the wheel drastically improves driving. The same cannot be said on the PS3. I actually think I'm doing worse with the wheel than I was with the controller. The game is still fun since I have the patience, but others may get easily frustrated at the force feedback. It's a little TOO realistic. On some courses, it's nearly impossible to use the wheel (here's looking at you Eiger NordWand). On others it's pure joy (Fuji!). I think for a really serious race where I'm not sure if I can win easily I'll stick with the controller. But for time-trials, it still is fun. Since I've had a PS controller in my hand for 15 years, I just might not be as used to it. Time will tell.I got it with a rebate for $90. I would not pay over $100 for this. Oh yeah and be careful when you first plug it in. The wheel will move by itself so don't have anything obstructing it.

This steering wheel is an excellent overall choice for fully enjoying any racing game. I'm basing it on my experience with Gran Turismo 5. The wheel feels solid and well built, although I cannot comment on the shifter as I do not use it. The pedals have a pretty nice feel as well, although they could be a little more solid but then again this isn't a real car. Clamp holds the wheel securely in place, even on a fold-up TV table that I'm using it on currently.If you're looking for a great wheel but aren't convinced to spend a lot more on the higher priced model, you won't be disappointed! Definitely worth the money if you're serious about racing games and want to really get the most out of the game and better your lap times.

The wheel is a snap to use on the PS3. Plug it in and go. I'm playing Nascar 2011. It is awesome how strong the feedback is, a real workout when drafting at Daytona!. I do how ever wish yuo could tone it down so that the younger members of the family can enjoy it too.| Give it a Big Thumbs Up!!! It will change the dynamic of all driving games.

This is great with a PS3 using many racing games, but the best is with GT5 of course. Need to make or buy a good stand, but the unit has very strong feedback, so any stand will have to stand up to the forces. Great experience with the driving wheel.

I bought this for GT5 eight days ago and my god what a difference this makes, not only for enhancing my game ability but the overall enjoyment of the game. This wheel with force feedback makes it so life-like. Love the fact that you can make real time adjustments from the wheel while racing too. I can't wait to try it for F1: 2010. Great value!Update...I've had DFGT for well over a month now and I've had acceleration problems. I've had to open up the pedal platform twice already and huge dust accumulation inside both times. After cleaning, problem seems to have been solved. I've been using this product a ton but a pain to have to open this up every 2 weeks.

This wheel is simply the best wheel for the $99 - $150 price range and I highly recommend it. I like everything about it, especially the fact that it has 900 degree rotation which is extremely important if you want the feel of a real race car. The wheel also has not one but two types of shifters: the paddle shifters behind the wheel itself and the sequential shifter to the right of the wheel, which is great for both Formula 1 and regular shifting styles. The pedals are great too and I've actually heard complaints about the cheap material of these but I have never had a problem with them and find them to be better than the Xbox 360's wireless racing wheel pedals. Overall, this is an amazing product for the price and could easily be at a $199 price tag.

This wheel is a waste of money when paired with a PS3 and GT5...period. No matter what the settings, the wheel skips all over the track. I have a 7 year old Force Feedback that, prior to the pedals malfunctioning, had a much better feel and was more controllable and realistic overall.Although I am not a "gamer" I have a considerable amount of experience with driving / racing simulator video games and this is a real letdown.I'll review GT5 separately, but I'm not a big fan of the many restrictions and lack of adjustability of the settings.Overall the graphics are a bit disappointing and realism suffers when compared to earlier simulation games and controls. Maybe less should have been spent on advertising and more on developing the software.

I bought this wheel for GT5 and I am pretty satisfied with it. The wheel feels nice in your hands even though it has a rubber grip. I thought at first that it might have been leather. 900 degrees of steering is a must for racing. The feedback is very responsive when playing. Even when you hit stuff or suddenly turn, the wheel will simulate accordingly. The wheel doesn't move when clamped down either.My only concern are the pedals. They seem to be a little on the cheap side as opposed to the wheel itself. They are designed well, but the fact that it is made of plastic make me think that one day when I step on it, the pedal will break. Maybe there is a way to change out this pedal? Of course, this is just speculation.For the price and quality, this is the best wheel you can grab as long as you don't mind not having a clutch.

Driving Force GT Racing Wheel is well built, and gives good feedback. The controls feel solid and not like cheap plastic. The PS3 automatically detects the wheel when you plug it in so there's no setup unless you want to remap the function of the buttons. The paddle/tiptronic shifters have good feel as well.The pedals feel solid and don't tweak when you press them and the resistance is easy to get used to (it doesn't feel weird). The pedal base has some teeth on the bottom that keep the base from sliding across the carpet. You just have to be sure it's down (it kind of flips out so it can bite into the carpet).

Playing Gran Turismo 5 with this wheel is more fun and experience is more imersed and intense. Although wheel is not as big as you get in a real car, driving dynamics are close to real real life. The build and material quality is certainly acceptable and feels solid. Grip is great, it may even give you blisters. This wheel will make playing Gran Turismo more fun but as in the title, it will not make you a better gamer. I retried couple of license test and using the wheel did not yield better result, actually PS controller's stick is easier to use; steering with PS3 controller simulates a steering wheel's relative position, whereas with this wheel you get absolute position of the tires. If you are thinking about becoming a better gamer with this wheel, sorry, but as it makes playing GT5 more work, it is fun, I cannot complain.

Hi everyone,The wheel is tons of fun. I find it pointless to buy a car simulator if you don't get at least one of those.I must admit I'm rather curious about the G27 (superior model), because I'd like to drive changing gears like I do in my car, engaging each gear in it's proper position, and also using the clutch. And besides people say the G27 has more weight on the pedals, mostly the brake. This would increase the experience. But then we must remember it's 150 dollars more expensive than the Driving Force GT. And considering this, the Dring Force GT is an awesome option! I recommend it like a mandatory thing if you're up to car simulators.

Great steering wheel. I originally purchased the Ps3 steering wheel by Intec. Do not waste your money. That steering wheel did not work with GT prologue, it worked for Burnout paradise after programming buttons. But I didn't enjoy it. I did further research and I read about the Driving force GT, so I took a leap and purchased the $100 steering wheel. I am not a big racing game fan but this steering wheel is so immersive that I am now a racing game addict. I read a review that midnight club l.a. supported the wheel. So I purchased it and this game was so much fun. All because of this wheel. I would recommend this wheel to any driving fan. If you aren't a driving game fan, this wheel would at the very least make you want to play racing games.

I received the GT steering wheel as a gift and could not be any more pleased. It is such a welcome change to use a wheel versus a controller (PS3). I would absolutely recommend to anyone "on the fence" about buying a wheel.Quality: Good/Durable (it is force feedback!!)Controls: Still getting used to all the different controls (Onscreen adjustments are great -- little red dial) --Integrates really well with GT5 -- Shocker, as it is the wheel they recommend!Shifter: More like a paddle shifter, but that is fine by me for nowLook/Feel: Looks great feels like an authentic steering wheelValue: GReat -- for the price range, I think this wheel is tough to beat!See you on the track! =)

I got this wheel just for Gran Turismo 5. Other than Burnout Paradise I had no driving games until a week ago. I must say it works perfectly. You feel even the slightest of surface change on the road. I'm not that great with driving games but with this wheel it was very easy to get the licenses in GT5, all Bronze but hey, I got all my licenses almost at first try.It's great that the wheel has all the buttons of a regular controller and then some. I didn't get to use the and-then-some buttons because I know nothing about making adjustments on a race car on the fly, but it's good to know that it's there :). Not even the infamous G25/27 has them.Overall This wheel makes me look and feel good on the track. It may not give you the most realistic feeling but it sure does a good job trying.

You definitely need this to play Gran Turismo 5! It makes the game feel a little real, you can feel bumps on the road and stuff. Excellent response, very sturdy construction, this is great for the price!
